But the people who did get that love, they grew up to be different from us. More secure. Maybe they’re not as shiny or successful as you and I feel we have to be. But it’s not because they’re not interesting. They just don’t feel they have to do the tap dance, you know? They don’t have to prove themselves all the time to be loved. Because they always were.

That‘s what happens when Coco doesn’t get to play solitaire before sleep. But programming textbooks seem to be a good replacement

You know what? The implications of these glyphs fascinate me, mostly because we literally never see pretty much any of these sigils, like, ever again! (Also, while irrelevant, take a moment to admire the sheer amount of spells Coco's amassed in the 3rd image, because goddamn the girl is a powerhouse! No wonder Iguin took one look at her and went, 'Child of hope'. I would too!)
Is it because they're simply more complex magic Coco (and by proxy, us as the audience) has yet to be introduced to, with her position as a beginner among witches? Or are they forbidden spells whose knowledge is lost to the pointed hat witches entirely? Or have they simply fallen out of style, replaced by the more convenient standard sigils we have been seeing?
The fire spell especially is the most fascinating one, the one that highlights all these possibilities, because it's so different from the fire sigil we've come to know! Why is it so? Is there anything different about the two fires, or is it fire all the same? If yes, then why is it never seen again? Was the sigil erased or merely forgotten about? Or will we see it again when Coco advances further in her journey?
The spread really sheds light on the fact that the art of magic as it currently is is mostly a lost art to whose 'acceptable' dregs the witch society clings.
