Cocky Bastard
When Scout was sent to confront a gang that was rising up in town, he and all the others expected them to be a group of idiotic teenagers who could easily be confronted and put down.
God, were they wrong.
Nearly four days after Scout had gone missing, Medic nervously paced the kitchen, deep in thought. Engineer sat at the table, just watching.
“It’s been four days, doc. What if Scout’s…..dead…..?”
Medic’s head snapped towards Engineer.
“NO! He is NOT dead!” Medic shouted.
Heavy, who was sitting on the nearby living room couch, grunted. Notes, most of which were written in Russian, sprawled across the open notebook in his lap. All three men looked like they could use some rest.
Silence had once again settled over the men when the sound of the telephone ringing nearly made Medic jump out of his skin.
Engineer was up in a flash, grabbing the phone and answering with a firm
“Hello. This is RED Bread. Who is this speaking?”
His usual kind southern drawl was almost completely eradicated from his words. Engineer’s eyes widened when the voice on the other side spoke, then he silently put the phone on speaker.
“This is the one and only my time we’ll call”, a male voice, likely late thirties from Medic’s guess, said through the phone, “Your teammate is alive. For now. We demand a trade. If you meet us in the park tomorrow at 8 a.m. and give us free access to your arsenal, along with a sum of 60,000 dollars, the boy will be returned alive.”
Engineer rushed to speak up.
“Now hold on. How do we know this isn’t a ruse? How do we know you’ve even got him?”
The three men in the kitchen could practically hear the sick grin the man in the other end made. A hand was placed over the receiver and it was likely brought away from the man’s face before he could be heard yelling.
“José! Drag that little bastard up here!”
Medic, Engineer, and Heavy stood frozen in the silence as there was nothing on the other end. Then, anger began to pierce Medic’s heart as he heard the sound of something being dragged, accompanied by soft whimpers of pain.
The distant voice of the man returned.
“Speak, boy. Tell your friends about your stay with us.”
The sound of rough breathing suddenly became all too loud as the phone was pressed to Scout’s ear. Engineer immediately spoke.
“Scout? Scout is that you?”
A faint gasp of surprise was heard, then a weak voice.
“E-Engie…..?” Scout whimpered.
“Yeah! It’s me, son. Take a deep breath….deep breath now….I just need ya to confirm it’s really you, ok? Just a real simple question.”
Heavy breathing could be heard from the other end of the line, then Scout spoke.
“O-ok.”
Engineer closed his eyes for a moment, attempting composing himself, then he asked.
“Scout, listen to me son. What’s your middle name? Your legal middle name.”
That heavy breathing was all that could be heard for a moment. Then, Scout finally answered.
“Beans. Ma changed my legal middle name to Beans to spite my father after he left. The kids used ta make fun of me at school for having a middle name like that. Did I ever tell you where my school was?”
Scout’s voice sounded normal, his usual way of talking in one run-on sentence from thought to thought was a blessing to Engineer ears. But within that voice was a hint of desperation. Engineer took a breath and nodded at Heavy, who got his pen ready.
“No, son. You never told me where your old school was” Engineer said, forcing his voice to be as even as possible.
Scout sucked in a breath, then spewed the address out in one slurred word.
“3765DesertRoadonthewestsideoftown!”
The phone dropped from Scout’s ear immediately.
A thumping could be heard, the phone swinging off the hook and hitting the wall, Engie thought.
But he did not care. All he could hear was the sound of beating.
A punch to the jaw. A yelp.
A kick to the ribs. A groan.
Then, silence.
“You little swine.”
He The leader’s voice dripped with venom.
“I’m very disappointed. You’ll have to be punished.”
There was a loud, sickening crunch.
A deep feeling of wrath flushed into Medic’s veins as he instantly recognized the sound of a tibia being crushed.
Then, the phone was hung up.
Medic stood, seething, and Engineer was simply shocked. Neither man had noticed Heavy standing over them, his usually bright and warm eyes cold and still.
“We leave NOW.”
Is all Heavy said.
In the abandoned school at 3765 Desert Road, on the West Side of Teufort, the gang members had finally finished beating the crap out of Scout. The boy was barely conscious, but enough of his senses were still available that he could hear the gang leader commanding his underlings to start moving everything out.
Dammit.
Scout then heard the sound of boots drawing closer. Said boots stopped right in front of his face. Scout blinked, and one boot was gone.
The last thing the boy felt before his senses finally gave up on him was a steel toe smashing into his nose.
By the time Medic, Engineer, and Heavy got the the old school on Desert Road, there was no one inside. Medic threw his bonesaw down in frustration.
“DAMN IT!”
Engineer put a gentle hand on the doctor’s back as the taller man crouched down.
“We’ll get him back, doc.” Engineer said quietly.
“We were so close….” Medic whispered as he ran a hand over his face.
Engineer rubbed his friend’s back.
“I know…..I know…..We’ll get him…..we’ll get him….”
Medic picked up his bonesaw, and stood, replacing his glasses on his face.
Heavy placed a hand on Medic’s shoulder.
“Is Doktor fine?” The large man asked.
“Yeah…yeah. Let’s go. We need to inform the rest of the team about the trade off tomorrow.” Medic said, his voice still wobbling a bit with emotion. Heavy guided Medic outside, which Engineer trailing not far behind. The Texan took one last look at the empty school, then closed the door.
That night, the phone rang.
Engineer’s eyes snapped open, his sleepiness disappearing instantly as he scrambled to pick up the phone.
“H-H-Hello?” He asked immediately.
A man’s voice, the same man that had called earlier that day answered.
“Hello. We are still willing to trade for your idiotic teammate despite that stunt he pulled earlier. The price is now double what it was before. Be there tomorrow at six a.m., or expect to find the boy’s body in the river.”
The line went dead

Thane returns!!! Because I named his cult Heavenly Butcher I've set his main weapon as a battle axe :3c Bit about Thane is that his robe is similar to the ones that the bishops wear but Thane made it himself to kind of mock the bishops but also-, he's got a bit of an ego and thinks he's as powerful as a bishop// short version: he's cocky asf his crowns eye is similar to Shamura's but it's not his!! (i might figure out a new shape, bit hard to choose something that hasn't already been done SOB)

God I’d always be so proud to call him mine, holding his heart on my sleeve like a prized trophy, keeping it nice and loved. Talking about him any chance I can, gushing on about him until my friends beg me to stop, but how could I? I can’t help it, he’s my baby! So you’ll hear about how good he is at something and you will praise him because he deserves it and that will be understood. :)

Just a borderline psychotic little guy who will do anything for the man he loves.
Backstory:
Sarnemin Rellias Galbaver was born August 27th, 1215. He was born to a wealthy family in Vemor, the small port town on the banks of the Carigsard river. His father, Lanreth was very hard on him and often cut off Sarnemin’s hair, despite the boy’s insistence on wanting to keep it. Sarnemin was always a feminine child, and enjoyed things his sisters did. His father thought it would just go away, but it didn’t. It only got more evident as he grew.
He learned how to sew and embroider from his mother and became quite skilled at it. His father disapproved of this and pushed him towards more masculine pursuits. Sarnemin’s fighter side didn’t go untapped though and he became incredibly skilled with a dagger he kept hidden on his belt.
Sarnemin had a difficult childhood due to his father's harsh treatment, but he found solace in music. He taught himself to play the lute and would often sneak out at night to play for the townspeople. His talent was quickly recognized, and he was eventually hired to perform at local taverns and inns. He began growing out his hair and made a name for himself. It is said that Sarnemin's performances were so captivating that they drew the attention of a visiting nobleman. The nobleman was so impressed with Sarnemin's talent that he offered to take the young musician under his wing and teach him the ways of courtly life. Sarnemin accepted the offer and was soon introduced to the world of high society.
He continued to play music and it was there that he met Kazimir Bavrild, a greatly feared warrior. After meeting Kazimir, Sarnemin's interest in fighting and combat grew. He began training with the warrior, learning how to wield a sword and use his dagger more effectively. Sarnemin also found himself drawn to Kazimir in other ways, and the two soon became lovers.
As Kazimir Bavrild's lover and confidant, Sarnemin held significant influence in the Zalstian court. He was known for his sharp wit and extravagant tastes, and often advised Kazimir on matters of strategy and politics. Sarnemin had a reputation for throwing lavish parties and entertaining guests with his storytelling and musical performances. He surrounded himself with a group of artists and intellectuals, who were seen as the cultural elite of the Zalstian court. While some viewed Sarnemin's flamboyant personality and love of luxury as a distraction from more pressing matters, others saw him as a necessary counterbalance to the seriousness and militaristic focus of Kazimir and his followers. Regardless of how one viewed him, it was clear that Sarnemin was a powerful figure in the Zalstian court, and his influence was felt in all areas of the city's culture and politics.
He is now part of a task force of soldiers known was the Sobraniye. They often deal with less than present visitors and protect the prince and his family. The Sobraniye are known to be quite violent at times, Sarnemin too, doesn’t shy away from violence despite his appearance.
Despite his reputation for flamboyance and love of luxury, Sarnemin was a capable fighter and often accompanied the Sobraniye on their missions. His skills with a sword and dagger were unmatched, and he had a keen eye for strategy and tactics, which he used to great effect in battle.
Sarnemin's presence in the Sobraniye was a controversial one, as some members of the group believed that his flamboyant personality and lack of seriousness were a liability in combat. However, others recognized the value of having someone with Sarnemin's skill level.
Over time, Sarnemin proved himself to be a valuable asset to the Sobraniye. He played a crucial role in several successful missions, and his influence in the Zalstian court helped the group gain valuable resources and support. Despite his love of luxury and extravagance, Sarnemin was fiercely loyal to his comrades and dedicated to protecting the prince and his family at all costs.
