1. How many works do you have on AO3?

My stats tell me that I've written 50, but 5 are multi-chapter collections, so... a lot. Yeah.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

733,820. If you asked me three years ago if I could ever write that much I would've laughed in your face. Isn't growth amazing?

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Harry Potter (though I do read some Good Omens, Carry on Simon and Bagginshield stuff)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

UGH. I don't want to be honest here, since 2 of the five are Dramione fics I've now listed as ANON because of harassment reasons. I'll give you the NEXT five instead ;) 1. 93 Diagon Alley (Harry x George) They were roommates 2. HP Cocktober 2022 Collection (Multiple) Prompt fest 3. Solace (Harry x George) Unhealthy coping mechanisms (sex) 4. When Malfoy Met Granger... (Draco x Hermione) WHMS remake 5. Mistletoe, or Die F***ing (Harry x Fred x George) Self-explan.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes. I try to, because the BEST part of sharing is connecting with people who enjoy what I've done. Community, ya know?

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Mastermind (Draco x Hermione, Draco x Harry, Draco x Ron, Ron x Harry) The worst UHEA I've ever inflicted on y'all is this Dronarry fest 2023 story. Dark stalker Draco goes off the rails in the end. It's a masterpiece, I'm so proud of it.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

From Sunset to Star Rise (Harry x Ron) Cozy fall vibes, falling in love, little to no angst (Ron has a tiny bit of anxiety, that's all)

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Yes. Mainly the bigger ship ones (Dramione, looking at you) If you're wondering WHY I write rare pairs a lot, it's because rare pair fandom is a safe space with AWESOME people. We may be few in number, but WE GO HARD and LOVE HARDER.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

ALL KINDS (though I'm not great a fluffy smut). Check out my HP Kinktober Collection 2023 posting daily RIGHT NOW. It's very kinky and dark.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

The closest I've come to crossover is more like "inspired by a vibe." I wrote a Community (TV Series) inspired paintball fic here: All's Fair in Love & War & Paintball (multiple ships)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No, BUT I've had people post me on Goodreads. Read my thoughts on why this is bad fandom etiquette HERE

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I've had many requests, but no one has followed through yet.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No! But I'm interested in this concept, especially if the co-author is someone I vibe with.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

STAWP. It's too hard a question! Lately, I'm obsessed with Dronarry, and any combination of those three. I also think I'm more in love with stories than ships. If it's an amazing story I end it with "OMG this is the BEST EVER" and I say it about a lot of ships.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'm writing a multichap Drarry fic where Draco is a wandmaker, and it's falling in love fluff. I'm terrified to write them because I feel like I'll get torn to shreds because the Drarry fandom is too amazing for the likes of little old me. I'll just read Drarry and call it good, and MAYBE I'll get the courage to finish someday.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Ideas. I'm chockful of ideas. Also, I read a ton, so I think the more you read, the better you write.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Fluff. I HATE writing fluff. Why is it so hard?

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't typically do it because I'm monolingual and don't want to fuck it up. I don't mind when others do it

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter!

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

How to Care for Your Monster Book: A Guide by Rubeus Hagrid  (Hagrid x Monster Book of Monsters) Y'aaaaaallll... I have no regrets about this fic. It's the only fic I've ever written that is perfect, I'll never top it, it's just so funny and weird (like me).

i've been slowly chipping away and writing a prompt month over on my writing blog @fragileizywriting ! usually when i finish a day, i post it there, but it's been a while since i've actually posted one of them, but that's because some of them are... how do you say... more suited to ao3. heeheeh.

i started it in january and i'm getting close to finishing it sooner or later! i have plans to publish it in september in honor of smutember. or cocktober. dickcember...????? uhhhmmm. one of those :3

there's actually some bit of plot in it, so it's not completely just sex. but it is just sex. you know how it is :D

September / October Wrap Up

PLEASE LOOK PAST THE FACT THAT WE ARE NEARLY DONE WITH NOVEMBER

I started working in the office/traveling again after Labor Day and had been wondering how it would affect my fandom involvement. I guess we have our answer now - I've been gone more than I've been home lately.

I decided to combine September & October because 1) I ran out of time to do the September post, and 2) the word counts are so laughably small for both of them. I did very little reading overall, and managed to squeak out a fair amount of words written (for me) in between working on another fandom project and some personal projects. I'm desperately hoping to be more present in November (she laughs in despair).

Things I Wrote

September writing was limited to one lone Twitter drabble, which has been since cross-posted to AO3 as (never) yours, (always) mine (dramione, T, 0.5k).

October was a *bit* busier for writing. I started off strong at least, and then suddenly did not have any more time for writing. Offerings are as follows:

As I sit here typing up this post and staring down the last week of November, I can safely say my reading record looks even more appalling than the past two months 😟

A cock named Phil, #3: Freaky Friday (body switch)

“Hello.”

Lucas looked at whoever was driving the car that had slowed down next to where he and Dustin were walking with their bikes, next to the road, and promptly stepped back. Dustin, when he saw who it was, actually hissed.

“No! Begone, demon!”

“What?” Billy said, frowning a little. “What did I do?”

“What do you mean, what did you do?” Dustin said. “You were smiling!”

“Yes, because I was trying to be friendly. Was gonna ask you if you guys needed a ride.” Billy was still driving beside them, albeit slowly, and threw a glance up in the rearview mirror to make sure he wasn’t stopping traffic. “I’m going to Steve’s, and figured you guy were as well. So. Do you need a ride?” And then he smiled again. A real, genuine, friendly smile.

Lucas and Dustin both took a step back this time.

“Uh”, Lucas said.

Dustin elbowed him in the side. “Thanks, but we’ll walk. It’s a lovely day. Thanks. Bye.”

“Whatever”, Billy mumbled, still smiling. “See you guys later.” And then he drove off, leaving the two boys by the side of the road.

They looked at each other.

“That was weird, right?”

“So weird.”

“I mean, he was actually, you know, pleasant.”

“Soooo weird.”

“You don’t think it’s … you know … Upside Down-related?”

They stared at each other for a second too long, before wordlessly getting back on their bikes and peddling towards Steve’s house as fast as they could.

When they got there, the Camaro was parked out front, but Billy was nowhere to be seen. Neither was Steve. Dustin and Lucas ran to the front door and slammed the it open in their haste, not bothering with knocking or waiting for a ‘come in’. “Steve!”

Steve came out of the kitchen, scowling at them. “What? Why are you barging in here like this? We have a doorbell. I could have been naked or something, what the fuck, guys?”

“We just …” Dustin said, a little bewildered at Steve’s aggressive tone. “We wanted to see if you were okay.”

“And you had to knock down my door to do that?” Steve said, still annoyed.

“Now now, sweetheart”, came Billy’s voice, as he walked out into the hallway and put one hand on Steve’s shoulder (he was using his other arm to hold Phil, the cock). “Be nice. They’re just worried about you, is all, right guys?” And with that, he turned an uncharacteristically earnest face to the boys, while Steve crossed his arms over his chest and pouted.

“Uh”, Lucas said, intelligently, while Dustin gaped. “Right.”

“Still could have knocked”, Steve muttered before going into the kitchen. Billy threw a smile their way before following.

“Okay”, Dustin hissed at Lucas. “I think I know what’s going on here.”

“Good”, Lucas said. “Because I am confused. Billy’s nice and Steve’s not, something is definitely wrong here.”

“Only one explanation”, Dustin said, nodding.

“Yeah.”

“They’ve switched bodies.”

“Uh-huh.” Lucas started nodding too, before freezing. “Wait, what?”

“You said it yourself!” Dustin whisper-shouted. “Billy’s nice and Steve is not. Obviously, Steve is now Billy, and Billy is now Steve!”

“Or”, Steve interrupted, coming out of the kitchen and giving them a pointed stare, “maybe Billy got a good night’s sleep while I hardly got any sleep last night, because Phil-fucking-Cockins here ran around in the house and I didn’t catch him until 3am. And then I locked him in the basement. And then he crowed for the rest of the night, keeping me up.”

“Aw”, Billy cooed with a shit-eating grin. “My cock keeping you up at night?”

“Don’t!” Steve said, pointing at Billy with a shaking finger and seemingly trying hard to restrain himself. “Don’t fuck with me today, Hargrove. I’m not in the mood.”

Billy grabbed the finger gently and pressed the lightest of kisses to the tip of it while looking up at Steve through his lashes. “How about I let you do the fucking? Would that make you feel better?”

Steve, Lucas and Dustin all let out loud protests at the same time, while Billy cackled. Steve threw his arms up, blushing, and fled into the kitchen, and Lucas and Dustin had their fingers in their ears, making gagging noises.

“Lalalala I can’t hear you!”

“Oh god, oh god, oh god, I need brain bleach!”

“Man, you guys are pussies”, Billy said when he’d stopped laughing. “Here, hold Phil while I go smoothen out some ruffled feathers.”

He thrust the bird into Lucas’ arms, and didn’t wait for him to get a good hold before rushing after Steve. Phil flapped his wings and crowed and tried to pick at Lucas’ eyes before Dustin jumped in to help, so eventually they both stood in the hallway, holding a struggling bird between them.

“I take it back”, Lucas said, panting. “Billy’s his usual asshole self. The smile was obviously a fluke.”

Dustin nodded. “Obviously.”

The Gobbler

Steve sat outside, letting himself soak in the sun. He was by the pool, lemonade in hand, listening to the wind. It was a gorgeous day, sunny and bright, though the air was chilled. He had on his sweater, he wasn’t crazy.

“You’re really tempting fate, dingus,” Robin’s voice called from the back door. Steve turned his head, giving her a blank look.

“I’m not in the woods, Robin,” he said. “I’m simply near them. Which can’t be avoided since, you know, they’re literally our backyard.” Robin grabbed her bag, stretching as she covered her yawn with the back of her hand.

“Sure, sure,” she said, pulling out her car keys and giving him a lazy smirk. “If The Gobbler gets you, I’m not saving you.” She passed by him, ruffling his hair and making him huff in annoyance.

“The Gobbler is only out of full moons--”

“Which is tonight, dumbass.” Steve squinted at her.

“Really? It’s been a month already?”

“Steve, you’re a horrible witch,” she muttered, rolling her eyes. “Can’t even keep track of the moon cycles…”

“Just because you draw power from specifically the moon doesn’t mean we all do Buckley!” Steve called after her as she headed for the gate to the front. She flipped the bird and he grinned. “Hey!” She paused, gate open. “You’re working the late shift then? Want me to save you some pizza?”

“You know it!” She called. “And no olives!”

“You have no taste!��� Steve called after her as the gate slammed shut. He snickered to himself before getting comfortable again in the warm afternoon sun. The rays caressed his face, filling him with bright, warm energy. Robin may have thrived in the moon, but Steve loved the sun. Loved fire that burned bright. It calmed him, took away his nerves, and filled him with a warmth he’d never really had until he found Robin. She helped, majorly, but still. He needed something big and bright in his life. The sun and his weird gaggle of nerds helped, but he felt like something was missing.

He flicked on the radio with a snap, listening to the pop tunes intermixed with reports and warnings for the night. The Gobbler is out tonight, so make sure to stay out and away from the woods, all men ages 20-45. Last month, the rates of interaction were up, with many men coming out of the forest, dazed and extremely confused. Steve stretched, his sweater rising up to expose his belly, and he idly scratched at it. An afternoon nap did sound good. No one is sure what The Gobbler looks like, except blue eyes that shine in the night, and it’s humanoid shaped. Beware it’s inhuman strength and ability to track scent--

Steve dozed off to the radio’s warnings.

Just thinking of Steve, early thirties, discovering his first grey hair and being utterly distraught. Tugging at it and being all dramatic in front of the mirror because he’s ‘getting old now, Bill.’ This is proof. This is the end for him. He may as well start wearing socks with sandals and buying hard candies because he is aging so fast and it’s all too much.

And Billy’s just sitting there listening to him rambling on because he knows the truth. 

Knows that Steve’s been getting grey hairs for at least a year now. That this is nowhere near the first one.

And Billy knows this because his favourite thing to do is to sit on the couch with Steve’s head on his lap, and run his fingers through Steve’s hair over and over, just feeling the softness under his fingertips and hearing Steve’s contented murmurs of pleasure as he relaxes under Billy’s hands, and of course Billy started noticing the silvery streaks showing up amongst the chocolate waves, and he loves them.

Loves that he’s seen Steve’s hair change like that.

Loves that he’s felt Steve’s stomach softening as they both spend more time in the kitchen than working out.

Loves that he’s noticed that Steve is wearing his glasses more and more, not just for reading now.

Loves all of these little signs that they’re both getting older, because there were times back before when he wasn’t sure they’d both make it out alive. 

And now they have, and they’re here- with a house they own together, and a cat they own together and a bed they share, every night, together. 

And they’re older but they’re not old yet, not really, and they still have so much time ahead, time they’re gonna spend together, be together, get greyer and fatter and happier together.

And what more could Billy want, really?
