With interiors that ooze out vintage charm and food that brings out multitude of flavours on your plate, the warm hospitality is like an icing on the cake.. There are places where you like something and then there are places where you love everything, Outpost was one of them.. The Burrata was superb The Crispy Chicken is an all time favourite.. Pandi Fry Tacos are surely worth your while The Katsu Chicken Burger was one of the best we had And don’t forget they serve some amazing brews till the time you aren’t ready to hit the bar..!! Sunday brunch done right at @thewestingoa At the onset, I have to say that it was one of the best Sunday brunches I had in a long long time. It wasn’t just the elaborate multi cuisine spread that made it awesome, but the overall vibe, hospitality and of course the superlative taste of all things that I tried made it more than perfect. My favourite place has opened a new outlet and I cannot keep calm.. so here is a big shoutout for @caravelacafegoa and their new cute little cafe on the 18th June Road, Panjim With the same promise of delicious food, wonderful coffees and bakery items, this is your place to be. On my recent visit, I settled for An All Day Breakfast, which for me is one of the most soul satisfying meals and we followed this with Chicken Club Sandwiches which led us to food coma for sure. And when at Caravela, one cannot afford to miss eating the best rissois ever. So the Prawn Rissois is what we ordered and loved as always. So if you have not been to Caravela, you definitely need to and if you have already, I am sure you would love going back. So do drop by at their new outlet and let me know how it was.. Ever since @therasoda announced that they are launching a new ‘gheelicious’ menu .. I knew I had to try it on the very first day and here I am… Started by tasting the amazing new flavours of Pani Puri water and loved the Teekha Pani and Hajma Pani, I didn’t try any sweet waters but if you like, they do have some options there as well.. Up next was a Dilli Style Bhalla Papdi Chaat, which is making my mouth water as I write about it. It was super delicious and you must try it. The Tokri Chaat was another interesting preparation and had a burst of flavours creating a riot in my mouth.. Channa Jor Garam reminded me of good old days when sitting at India Gate with family, this used to be our go to snack.. The Tadka Maggi is something you need to try And the Pav Bhaji was one of the best I had.. but that’s not all, they have also introduced Punjabi and Rajasthani Thalis which I had no place in my stomach to try this time. But then getting them delivered is always an option and I’ll do that soon. But you should not be wasting any time and head straight to Rasoda for a soulful meal. @socialoffline has always been a favourite ever since it opened, and I have visited multiple outlets across the country. It’s not just a restaurant, it’s a vibe. This one is from #KharSocial We tried the following dishes: Pulled Tandoori Chicken Makhani Bao, this one was simply too good. It oozed out flavours , juicy pulled tandoori chicken with a hint of makhani gravy filled in soft baos, its surely worth a try. 5/5 Chilly Paneer- My boy’s all time favourite and essentials, he just has to have chilly paneer and chilly chicken wherever he goes, the only time he doesn’t eat it is when the restaurant doesn’t have 🤣.This met his expectations and he quite liked it. 4.5/5 Chilly Chicken- This too was met with a wide smile and hence a 4.5/5 Butter Garlic Chilli Momos- This is avoidable, we didn’t really like it. The momos became way too soggy in the sauce and the sauce itself did not taste too good. 2/5 Spiced Guava- A refreshing mocktail, good to go. 4/5 Mud Pot Oreo Shake- Definitely worth a try, its delicious 5/5 We hope that Goa too gets its very own Social soon. Enjoyed a delightful meal at The Banyan Tree @tajholidayvillage Banyan Tree, a Thai speciality restaurant at Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa is nestled around a 300-year-old Banyan Tree and no points for guessing that it derives its name from the same. To ensure the authenticity of flavours and to serve you nothing but the most traditional Thai food, Taj recently hired the services of Chef Thomthong Sungkaha who hails from Nonthaburi province in Thailand. Chef Lily as she is fondly called, brings with her extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the cuisine while making dishes that suit the Indian palate perfectly. I started my culinary journey with Satay Kai, a traditional dish of grilled chicken skewers served with peanut sauce & tangy cucumber salad. The chicken was succulent, tender and almost melted in the mouth. The peanut sauce and tangy cucumber salad definitely elevated the taste. Som Tam, the raw papaya salad is indeed one of my most favourite Thai dishes. Chef Lily had my heart with this beautiful preparation of hers. Next, I tried the Pad Woon Sen, a Thai glass noodle salad topped with prawns. I have to admit that it was one of the best dishes I had that day. It was like a burst of flavours in your mouth and this is definitely something I would go back for. Other dishes that I tried and recommend include Scallops, Phor Pla Je, Thai crispy veg Spring Rolls with Sweet Chilli Sauce and Tom Yum Soup. For the mains, I tried Chicken Thai Green Curry, Chicken Thai Red Curry, Jasmine Rice, Phad Thai Noodles and Pla Rad Prik, a delectable dish of crispy fried fish in tamarind sauce. To complete the meal, I had the Tub Tim Grob. You have to try this to believe how good it is. I mean you can just keep on sipping the coconut milk and the sweet bites of rose-flavoured water chestnuts are almost irresistible. if you too are a fan of authentic Thai food, there cannot be a better place. Hello from @copperleafgoa Most people know Copper Leaf for its quintessential Goan Thali, but trust me there is much more to Copper Leaf than just that. The newly opened outlet in Panjim is premium in every sense, from the ambience to world class service and of course the food, everything is top notch. Some of the dishes that I highly recommend include 👉🏻Chicken Banarsi Kebabs- I am sure you would not have eaten anything like this before, its very different and very delicious. 👉🏻Crispy Chicken- You can try both the fried and tossed versions of this dish, they are both very different from each other and delectable in their own way. The fried one is coated with fried noodles and makes for a crispy covering with tender chicken bites on the inside, while the tossed one has no covering and is more like chilly chicken dry but of course different in flavours. 👉🏻Chicken Tikka Masala- This main course dish is perfectly spiced with chunks of tender chicken and savoured with a butter naan, it makes for a great meal. 👉🏻Mini Gadbad- This dessert is a must have! The thalis at Copper Leaf are obviously worth a mention because they are amongst the best, but yes apart from that, the menu is enough options for you to delight your taste buds and you should explore them. One of my favourite Japanese cuisine restaurant has made it ways into the Goan shores.. yes @kofukugoa is finally here.. Kofuku means happiness, bliss, euphoria, enjoyment and this restaurant stands true to its name in every way.. Located on Parra-Saligao road with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating, Kofuku serves both Japanese and Korean cuisine and since I had already tried the food at their Mumbai and Delhi restaurants, my expectations were set.
