Happy Birthday to you!!
So today is the birthday of a person who changed my world for the good. She's always been there from the moment we met. I've been super busy and absent during the last year and I think it will be just the same during the next one, but she's still there, patiently waiting for me, caring for me, and sending me her support and love. You are an awesome person and an even better friend, Simone, and I wish you the best of the days. My gift to you, couldn't be otherwise, is just a silly thing. I wanted to cover both of your active fandoms, but I haven't read almost anything of yours lately (shame on me), so I thought it would be nice to take advantage of the similarities between the characters' personalities and make a little change. Hope you like it. The style's a little strange because I wanted to explore different techniques, but I don't really know if it fits… Anyway, @annaofthenorthernlights, I wish you a super mega happy birthday and a life full of love, health, and good stories! Love you!

NYT Cooking: Café Brûlot
Ingredients
⅓ cup Cognac or brandy
1 tablespoon Grand Mariner or Cointreau
Zest of ½ orange, removed with a vegetable peeler
Zest of ½ lemon, removed with a vegetable peeler
2 tablespoons light or dark brown sugar, plus more to taste
4 whole cloves
1 (2-inch long) cinnamon stick
1 cup strongly brewed coffee
Ground cinnamon and whipped cream, for serving
Preparation
In a small saucepan, combine the Cognac, Grand Mariner, orange and lemon zest, sugar cloves and cinnamon stick. Heat over low, stirring, until the sugar dissolves, about 1 minute.
Turn off the heat. Using a stick lighter or long match and standing back a bit, carefully set the Cognac on fire. Let it burn for 30 seconds to 1 minute to singe the citrus peels and cinnamon, then pour the coffee into the pan to douse the flames. Stir well, then taste and add more sugar, if you like.
Strain the coffee into mugs and serve topped with whipped cream and ground cinnamon.

So I was feeling pretty good on New Year’s Eve. My friends convinced me to go to a little party to hang out and have drink. I took these pics for @the-vanir-queen on snap. I figured ya’ll might like them.
