How to get a USA based CMA Scholarship?
What is CMA USA?
CMA USA is a professional credential where CMA stands for Certified Management Accountant. It is the most prestigious certification for people who want to pursue management accountancy and professionalism in finance. People consider CMA's as very brilliant because they not only know the numbers, but they know the reason behind the numbers. And that is why CMA's have higher respect in society, higher potential to earn more and a good position in the corporate world.
The Institute of Management Accountants, which is also known as IMA, awards this certification to the deserving candidates. IMA is present in more than 140 countries around the world, and there are training programs available to help students clear their exam. But preparation for the exam needs dedication and smart study. The CMA USA exam has two papers that cover 12 different areas.
The first paper is for financial planning, performance and analytical skills. This paper deals with planning budgets, forecasting, cost and performance management, technological and analytical problems. The second paper is for management of strategic finances. This paper deals with the analysis of financial statements, corporate finance, review of decisions, management of risks and decisions related to investments. The duration of the course at IMA-US is six months. There are scopes to study at the IMA in India too. But in India, the length of the course is 3 to 4 years.
What is CMA USA scholarship?
The course fees for CMA USA are not very cheap. Fees for paper one is around 28,000 INR or 415 USD. And for paper two is again 28,000 INR or 415 USD. The entrance fees and membership fees is18,000 INR (250 USD) and 17,000 INR (245 USD) respectively. Moreover, the approximate expenditure for pursuing CMA USA is around 90k-100k in terms of INR. The CMA USA scholarship is for students with merit and students who need financial help. The students who deserve it receive the scholarship.
This scholarship has tons of advantages. It covers the entire entrance exam fee. Students get a chance to have a look at the previous years' question papers. The scholarship also covers the registration fees for both the papers. But the students need to pay additional charges if they wish to retake the exam. The scholarship also allows the student to access CMA USA excel Online test bank. They can have access to questions of both the parts of the exam up to 2 years. But, this feature is available for all the countries except China and India.
More than 9,200 students have received this CMA USA scholarship around the globe. And, more than 1000 colleges and universities have participated in this scholarship program. The faculty can nominate the deserving students, and if they receive this scholarship, they can prepare for this exam almost at no cost.
Scholarship pattern and its screening process
To apply for the CMA USA scholarship, the student needs to submit the nomination form with the required documents and information. The CMA USA Education Foundation Board of Directors review every form and they shortlist the students who deserve the scholarship. They base this decision on the academic achievements of a student, the quality of their essay, and how well they demonstrated their interest in that industry.
The entire procedure is very precise, and they shortlist the students who have real merit. The scholarship money amount ranges accordingly. The maximum can go up to 10000$, and that money is paid directly to the respective schools of the students. There are three types of scholarship exams that we know of at present. The first is the exam scholarship program that CMA conducts. This program is for the current students, and the professors can nominate them. This scholarship covers the CMA USA exam fees and membership fees.
The second is the CMA doctoral scholarship program. This program is for the students who are specializing in management accounting and management of financial cases. Both students from the US or any other country can sign up for this program. This scholarship covers the CMA entrance exam fees, membership fees and course exam fees for the first time.
The third scholarship program is the CMA USA exam academy scholarship. It is not confirmed yet if this scholarship is still in action. But current students can sign up for this. Students from the US or who are legal citizens of the US can apply to this program. The selected students usually receive a scholarship of $500.
There are various other scholarship programs by the IMA. But those are mostly for doctoral research.
Why IMA conducts CMA USA scholarship programs?
With every passing year, the curriculum for the students is getting tougher. But the priority of studies in the life of students is increasing. Students are putting more and more pressure in studies, and they are setting goals at a very young age. And among those numerous students, many are interested in building a career in finance and accounts management. And among those many ambitious students, some are brilliant but may need some financial help. They need some economic push to go towards their dream. And the CMA USA scholarship program helps the student to do that.
IMA wants to encourage the students who have merit and want to go for the CMA USA exams. This CMA USA scholarship covers the entrance exam fee of the CMA USA. It also includes the registration fee for both the papers in the course. In this way, they have reduced the expenditure of the students to a certain amount to help them take up the course that they have interest in.
That is why more than thousands of colleges participate in this program to give the opportunity to their students. And there are thousands of students who receive the scholarship and go for the course. With the help of this CMA USA scholarship program, they help the students to pursue the CMA USA certification at a meager cost. And yet, the world recognizes this certification as one of the most prestigious degrees in management.
Eligibility of scholarship and process of registration
There are a few criteria that the students need to follow to receive the CMA USA scholarship. If a student achieves the designation of CMA USA, it will mean that the student has professional expertise in financial management. The IMA introduced this scholarship program to honour the top students by encouraging them to study at a lower expenditure. When the nominee joins the IMA, they activate the scholarship program at that point. The student will have one year to register for the CMA program after they receive the scholarship. And they will get three years to complete the entire plan.
The top 5% or the top 5 students, who are pursuing an accredited undergraduate accounting or business program, are eligible for the scholarship program. Similarly, the top 5% or the top 5 students are eligible for the scholarship program who are pursuing an accredited Masters level accounting or business program. Accredited means their university or college should have official recognition.
A student cannot nominate themselves for the CMA USA scholarship program. Only the faculty of their college or university can. Students in both US and international accounting programs can apply. Students pursuing Undergraduate programs need to complete their third year of the program. Only then the faculty can put their name forward as the nominee. They award the selected students with a certificate attesting to their selection. IMA expects that the school or university will award the scholarship to their students at the annual e program.
The faculty needs to submit the nominee application form by the given deadline. IMA always reveals the dates online and their application form. It is essential to check these dates and download their application form as soon as it is available. There should be separate forms for separate programs. The faculty should submit the completed applications to the following address-
CMA USA Scholarship Program
Institute of Management Accountants
10 Paragon Dr, Suite 1
Montvale, NJ 07645-1760
Attention: Research
They can also submit the applications through mail at [email protected]. They can also send any queries regarding this program at the same e-mail address. The faculty can provide five students as per the application form.
Benefits of the program and the course
The CMA USA scholarship program has some obvious benefits to it. It helps a student financially and helps them to give the exam and prepare for it at a little cost. But the CMA certification has a lot of benefits too.
1. CMA is the ultimate certification for a student in finance management and accounting. Receiving this certification means that the student has professional expertise in critical management skills.
2. CMA USA certification is recognized globally. It does not limit just one country and is accepted everywhere.
3. When a person receives such a high level of certification, they are bound to earn more. Survey says that the CMA pass students make 60% more than their non-CMA peers. So the money spent on the course is not a total waste. The students can earn back the entire money spent and more.
4. The CMA certified individuals get a higher position in the job than the others. CMA certification will be great for career growth.
5. When pursuing a job in some other country, it may happen that the certification received in own country does not hold the same weight-age. But with CMA, that is not the case. It has the same high standard around the globe.
6. There is a vast choice for career options like accountancy, planning, audit, managing and analytic. CMA means a more significant number of opportunities for a person to choose from.
7. The top companies like Deloitte, Accenture, Bank of America, Caterpillar, Verizon and many other reputed ones recruit CMA students for a high job profile.

After an unprecedented year where COVID-19 has upended people’s lives and America is experiencing a racial reckoning, the one-hour live streaming event recognizes five “thrivers” who have overcome their own personal hardships to make meaningful contributions in their communities and around the world. “After what has been a difficult year for so many, I am looking forward to celebrating the resilience and generosity of these five individuals. They represent the strength we all have inside of us to fight through and conquer our ‘something,” said Roberts. “It’s an honor to share their stories.”
More information on the five honorees (listed alphabetically):
Aaliyah Stewart (Merrillville, Ind.) – When she was 7 years-old, Aaliyah Stewart lost her brother to gun violence. Then, she lost a second brother and two more relatives in separate gun violence incidents. At age 14 Aaliyah created a non-profit to provide scholarships in their names. Now, at age 20, Aaliyah is an advocate for families suffering from loss and working on a youth facility center for kids in her community.
Abi Brittain (Lawrence, Kan.) – Abi Brittain and her two toddler sons survived an unimaginable car accident that left her fighting for her life, on a ventilator for months and left one of her sons with a permanent brain injury. Abi was so inspired by the nurses who helped save her and her family that she enrolled in nursing school. More than two decades later, she’s a nurse at the very same hospital that saved her, and she’s working to save others on the frontlines in the pandemic.
Amanda Kloots (Los Angeles) and the Broadway Community – Amanda Kloots lost her husband, Tony-nominated actor Nick Cordero, due to complications related to coronavirus. During Cordero’s 13-week hospitalization, Kloots rallied her social media followers each day in support of her husband and for all to come together during the difficult time. Despite her devastating loss she has remained resilient and continues to inspire and advocate for Broadway relief, along with various organizations, to support the struggling Broadway community and its workers.
Hannah Lucas (Cummings, Ga.) –When she was 15 years-old, Hannah Lucas attempted suicide. Three years later, she didn’t want others to feel as alone or isolated as she once felt while battling a medical illness and mental health issues. With her younger brother Charlie, she created the NotOK app to help those struggling with mental illness, addiction issues or who are in crisis or need some type of help. Their app is expanding into other countries and has seen a significant spike in downloads and usage during the pandemic.
Ryan Dwyer (Seattle) - Ryan and his stepdaughter Violet both battled cancer in 2019. He paid for and delivered meals to thank the healthcare workers who saved them. Even though Ryan’s cancer returned earlier this year, he created and runs a non-profit to continue feeding frontline healthcare workers and support the local restaurants that are struggling.

Modern Vikings Victory Party
Details: CSC Grounds, 13 September 2019, Friday.
It was a day when I don’t have the chance to help the corps in preparing for the event basically because me and Gio Velano went ashore for our medical specialist appointment. I am to Dra. Karina Soraya Hadjiril, a gynecologist, who is looking after me with my urinary Tracy Infection. Gio, on the other hand, went to Dra. Ritaville Elorde, a pulmonologist, who Gio approached after having difficulty in breathing, getting tired easily, repetitive cough for 2 weeks. We went on the same well-known hospital here in Davao – Metro Davao Medical and Research Center.
It was Sir Ret. Sgt. Alexis Alaba’s –dorm master– duty and we couldn’t find him, while looking for him, Sir Noel Rosete– NSA Academic Coordinator– found us in despair since we can’t go ashore without the sign of a high rank in the dormitory permitting us to do our businesses outside. He asked us what are we doing and we explained everything that we have a medical appointment and we could find the dorm master to sign our request of shore leave. As an academic ccordinator, he signed it and luckily, we weren’t given a knock off time. So we went ashore already and there we did our own businesses as if we’re not in a hurry to keep up with the time given to us.
Finding out the lab results had us exhausted. Realizing that our health isn’t in a good condition and that it is expensive, makes us lose all our energy. Saddening, tiring, exhausting, draining, but we can’t do something about it except to comply for us to be healthy and gain back our own self. Why? Because in this career that we chose, our health is our wealth. We can’t lose this scholarship and this ensured future. It’s all done. We did our lab test. Passed it to the doctors and gave us specific date to come back for a follow up and also for the results’ interpretation.
Now, we went back to the dormitory.
1700H.
They’re almost starting. God is so good that we arrived at the dorm them not forming for chow.
Thank God. Thank God. The feeling of relief was there when we verified the space in front of the quarterdeck having no formation. Asking everybody, “did you have your chow already?” and hearing them say “not yet” gave us a slight feeling of joy. Thank God!
We had our chow.
We started the party–the program to party.
Our company won the Mr. Oh! Look. With the participation of the Bravo company and of course with the confidence and effort of Cabreros, my batch mate.
The intervals of the program so as not to have dry airs, they awarded all the people who participated on the intramurals, me having two certificates for my Essay Writing and my Swimming.
It’s over now but the party wasn’t really over. It just started.
We had lot of drinks we thought we would never have. Plus these first class giving us tequilas and all. Them being informed that I do that kind of party before, they wanted me join them. As not to insubordinate my seniors, I joined them. It was all fun until my kill joy senior cadette Pomarin went to get me. it wasn’t supposed to be like that because im enjoying my time watching all the cadets get drunk. And of course I had time with my seniors which I never really get to bond with because of the gao they said that should be implemented between junior and seniors. Grrrr.
I went back to our quarters getting bored.
I don’t know where this writing would go but here are some of the highlights.
· 1/c cma was so worried at me, at every tequila given to me, he’s giving chaser even when not needed because we had calamansi.
· Alagao is so drunk that I don’t know, he’s just doing random, hilarious, and embarrassing things I know he would regret the day after.
· Arojo is so drunk he is shouting “Sir Saballa sir I want to be your brother sir!” plus he shook hands with sir alaba haha.
· Dolotallas was told by sir rubin to chug the bottle of cocktail while kneeling.
· And more………………
cant squeal everything but atleast if im going to read this next time i’ll remember the memories. hahaha

Christmas Letter
Dear Parents and Friends
The start of term now seems very far away, so much has happened over the course of this long and busy term. When I last wrote to you in September we were celebrating the successes of our students in public exams, hearing about the exciting trips that had taken place over the summer to Borneo, Sri Lanka and Barcelona and welcoming new colleagues and pupils. It is a mark of how much ground we have covered since then that those who joined us in September now seem very much part of the OLA landscape.
We began the year with our whole school photograph, now gracing living rooms and hallways all over Oxfordshire, and our annual celebration of the Mercy Day Mass in St Edmund’s church. We also had two very successful Open Mornings, with a great deal of interest in the school being shown. This translated into excellent numbers of Year 6 pupils attending our Experience Week in November and has led to a considerable rise in those planning to sit our Entrance Exam in January.
As ever, a great deal has been happening on the co-curricular front. Ms Gable’s Saturday Morning Food Club ended the term triumphantly last Saturday by presenting parents and staff with the fruits of what they have learnt across the term. It was all absolutely delicious and they are to be heartily congratulated on the progress they have made.
Regular readers of the weekly newsletter regularly will know that our Model United Nations group have had a very active and successful term, as have the children involved in the Kids’ Lit competition. Added to this, our McAuley Scholarships Programme has once again featured a series of fascinating lunchtime talks by outside speakers. This year’s whole school McAuley Anniversary Lecture was given by Dr Tom Moorhouse, a children's author and zoologist at Oxford University who alerted our pupils to the challenges facing the preservation of wildlife across the world.
There have been a number of exciting trips this term, including the Spanish week in Andalucia and the Battlefields and New York trips at half term. Geographers in various year groups have undertaken field trips directly related to their studies, including the current Snowdonia residential for our Lower Sixth students. The Science, Drama and English departments have also taken students to a range of events, while the Music department has had a packed programme of concerts, culminating in this week’s joyful Carol Services.
Despite the wet and cold conditions they encountered, pupils involved in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award successfully completed their expeditions earlier this term. The Year 11 Silver group undertook their assessed expedition on Exmoor, walking for three days with two nights camping, while the Year 10 Bronze groups completed their practice expeditions on the Ridgeway near Wantage or in the Chilterns near Watlington.
The school’s Chaplaincy has enjoyed its usual full programme of assemblies, services and Masses. A Remembrance Service was held in the CMA in November to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, while our new Chaplaincy coordinator, Mrs Kirby-Hall, has been very energetic since assuming her role in September and has already done much to make our beautiful Chapel an attractive and welcoming environment for staff and pupils.
Year 7 have made an excellent start to their time in the Senior School, ending the term with a Stomp workshop in which they used items of household and kitchen equipment to rhythmic effect. A number of pupils new to the school in other year groups have also been warmly welcomed to OLA and have enthusiastically embraced our ethos. All have greatly enjoyed being part of one of our four Houses and taking part in events such as the House Shout and the highly successful Year 11 Mission Effort.
Along with pupils in all year groups, Year 7 have wholeheartedly thrown themselves into the many clubs on offer, distinguishing themselves in the swimming galas and developing their sporting abilities. As ever, it is good to see OLA punching above its weight against larger schools in a range of sporting events, thanks to their commitment and the excellent coaching they receive.
I am delighted to announce that Sixth Form Academic Scholarships have been awarded for next academic year to the following Year 11 pupils: Anna McBrien-Martin, James Wilson, Marine Pons, James Green, Emma Doel and Andrew Norkett. Oliver Wheaton has been awarded an All-Rounder Scholarship.
Please give a thought in the weeks to come to our Upper Sixth Formers who are awaiting the outcome of university applications and interviews over Christmas, and also to our Year 11 pupils who will be spending at least part of the Christmas holidays revising for their all-important mock exams.
I very much hope you all have an enjoyable and restful time over Christmas and that your sons and daughters have a chance to relax and recharge their batteries. Our thoughts and prayers are very much with our Year 11 pupils as they prepare for mock GCSE examinations in January.
Best wishes
Stephen Oliver

The Match That Made Chelsea Buy Eden Hazard - The Match That Made: Eden Hazard 🔎🎥 ✔️ Subscribe, Like & Comment for more! 🔷 Follow my Twitter: https://bit.ly/2OWT5JE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this episode we see Eden Hazard in his greatest performance during the 2011/12 season against Saint-Étienne. His team; Lille were current Ligue 1 and Coupe de France champions and they came into Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on a 2 game winning streak, but were losing 1-0 with just over 30 mins left. Hazard then scored both the equalizer and winner within 18 mins of each other, in astonishing fashion! The game ended 1-3 and Lille went on a 17 match unbeaten streak with Hazard playing a big part in all of them! The 21 year old finished the season with 20 goals and 22 assists in the league alone! He also won Ligue 1 player of the year for the 2nd year in a row. Chelsea signed him that summer for €35M and well, the rest is history! “The Match That Made” is a new series that I'm experimenting with. The concept is to show the superstars of today, in their best performance of the season before they got signed to a top club. Of course 1 game doesn't make the player who they are today but those special performances are the ones that catch the eyes of world watching! Let me know who you would like to see next time on “The Match That Made”! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music provided by No Copyright Music: https://youtu.be/rbfNPhdyypw Music used: Guardians by Evan King http://bit.ly/2z441fe Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 http://bit.ly/2OFf17S -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow Me: http://bit.ly/2z8lVgW http://www.youtube.com/ScoutNationHD http://www.twitter.com/ScoutNationHD http://bit.ly/2OFf1oo http://bit.ly/2z442zO Intro Song Name: CMA - Loose Ends Intro Music Producer: http://bit.ly/2OH7llx Second Video Editor: https://twitter.com/DAMONYETGILA_HD Statistics Provided by: http://bit.ly/2z1NisU Market Value Provided by: http://bit.ly/2OFf2IY -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I must state that in NO way, shape or form am I intending to infringe rights of the copyright holder. MerleFest 2018 Announces New Additions to Lineup Early Bird Tickets on Sale Now
MerleFest, presented by Window World and slated for April 26 - 29, is proud to announce five additions to the 2018 lineup: The Mavericks, Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn, Mandolin Orange, Alison Brown, and Brandy Clark. The annual homecoming of musicians and music fans returns to the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. MerleFest has already announced over 75 artists for 2018, including Kris Kristofferson, Jamey Johnson, Rodney Crowell, Rhiannon Giddens, Elephant Revival, The Devil Makes Three, a Midnight Jam hosted by Town Mountain and Jim Lauderdale, and many more. The rest of the distinguished lineup for MerleFest 2018 will roll out over the next few months.
The Mavericks – The genre-defying Mavericks are declaring their independence and stepping out on their own with Brand New Day, the first studio album released on Mono Mundo Recordings, the label they founded in 2016. Brand New Day is the follow-up to the widely praised albums Mono (2015) and In Time (2013). Flashing the same exhilarating, beyond-category style that has defined the Mavericks, the new album introduces a collection of taut, energetic, economical songs sure to be embraced by both original fans of their top-10 albums and hit singles of the ‘90s and a new generation of listeners who have joined the party since their triumphant 2012 reunion. It is the mature and timely work of an exciting and underestimated American band that has embraced its own destiny.
“This is the first studio record on our own label, and it is an important component in the band’s history,” Malo says, “but the real goal was just to make a great record.”
The new collection – co-produced like its immediate predecessors by the band’s golden-voiced singer Raul Malo and Niko Bolas (Neil Young, Warren Zevon, Melissa Etheridge), who is partnered with the band in the new Mono Mundo imprint – features the core members of the group since their reformation: Malo, drummer Paul Deakin, guitarist Eddie Perez, and keyboardist Jerry Dale McFadden, along with auxiliary members “the Fantastic Four” filling out the set’s brawny sound with their signature accordion and horns. The Mavericks will play the Watson Stage on Thursday night.
Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn – With one eye on using the banjo to showcase America’s rich heritage and the other pulling the noble instrument from its most familiar arena into new and unique realms, Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn’s second album Echo in the Valley is simultaneously familiar and wildly innovative. Echo in the Valley is the follow up to Béla and Abigail’s acclaimed, self-titled debut that earned the 2016 Grammy for Best Folk Album. This time around, the mission was to take their double banjo combination of three finger and clawhammer styles “to the next level and find things to do together that we had not done before,” says Béla. “We’re expressing different emotions through past techniques and going to deeper places.” The results are fascinating, especially considering their strict rules for recording: all sounds must be created by the two of them, the only instruments used are banjos (they have seven between them, ranging from a ukulele to an upright bass banjo), and they must be able to perform every recorded song live. Fleck and Washburn will play the Watson Stage on Friday night.
Mandolin Orange – Mandolin Orange's music is “laced with bluegrass, country and folk...often wistful and contemplative without being somber, and always firmly grounded in the South" (WNYC). The Chapel Hill, N.C. duo has built a noteworthy catalog of recordings and performances since their founding in 2009. Their live shows are filled with vibrant chemistry, effortless instrumentation, and breezy, fluid harmonies that continue to win over local and far away fans. Recent performances include Red Rocks Amphitheater, Telluride Bluegrass, Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo and Pickathon, with 2018 performances in support of the Avett Brothers at PNC Arena and Josh Ritter at the Ryman Auditorium. Hailed by No Depression as “one of the most talented acts making music today,” Mandolin Orange’s most recent album "Blindfaller" debuted #3 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Album Chart, was featured on NPR’s Heavy Rotation and made Rolling Stone’s “40 Best Country Albums of 2016.”
"The musical tapestry of 'Blindfaller' is delicately woven with lush threads of acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, violin and pedal steel, all ever-present without ever overplaying. However, it's the vocal interplay of Frantz and Marlin that is the band's most distinctive calling card" (Rolling Stone). Lean in to the album and you’ll understand why. You’ll hear the way it magnifies the intimacy at the heart of the North Carolina duo’s music, as if they created their own musical language as they recorded it. Mandolin Orange will play the Watson Stage on Friday night.
Alison Brown – Alison Brown has taken an unlikely path in establishing herself as one of the most critically acclaimed banjoists in the world. A former investment banker (she has a bachelor's degree in History and Literature from Harvard and an MBA from UCLA), she toured with Alison Krauss and Union Station and Michelle Shocked before forming her own group, The Alison Brown Quartet. She has recorded 10 critically-acclaimed solo albums, received 4 Grammy nominations, a Grammy award and the Banjo Player of the Year award from the International Bluegrass Music Association. Alison has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, NPR's All Things Considered and in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. She was personally requested to play at the inauguration of Harvard’s first female president, Drew Faust, and was a recipient of Irish America Magazine’s “Stars of the South Award” for her efforts towards the “cultivation and preservation of Irish music.” In 2014 she was awarded the prestigious United States Artists fellowship for excellence in music. Alison and her band have performed at a long list of music festivals in the US and abroad including The Newport Folk Festival, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, MerleFest, Rochester Jazz Festival, Celtic Connections (UK), Verbier Festival (Switzerland), Country Gold (Japan). Alison is also co-founder of the internationally recognized Compass Records Group, which has been called by Billboard Magazine “one of the greatest independent labels of the last decade.” She currently serves on the board of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and on adjunct faculty of Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music. Alison Brown will play the Hillside Stage on Saturday and the Watson Stage on Sunday.
Brandy Clark – The Nashville, Tennessee-based Clark received her first of an impressive six career GRAMMY nominations in 2013 in the Best Country Song category for co-writing the Miranda Lambert No. 1 hit “Mama’s Broken Heart.” Her talent as a storyteller has quickly propelled her into critical acclaim as one of Nashville's best tunesmiths. Subsequently writing songs for Sheryl Crow, The Band Perry, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Billy Currington, Darius Rucker, and Kacey Musgraves to name a few. In 2015, Brandy independently released her own debut album 12 Stories, which embraced by music lovers and critics alike and was subsequently nominated for two GRAMMYs including Best New Artist and Best Country Album. 12 Stories went on to be named "Best Album of 2013" by The Boston Globe, New York Magazine, NPR, The New York Post, and more. Brandy also won the 2014 CMA Song of the Year Award for “Follow Your Arrow,” which she co-wrote with Shane McAnally and Kacey Musgraves, and was also nominated for a CMA New Artist Of The Year that same year. 2016 brought the release of her sophomore album Big Day In A Small Town, which also garnered two GRAMMY nominations for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance ("Love Can Go To Hell") and once again topped critics' "Best of" lists including NPR, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, among others thus cementing Clark as one of country music's most talented artists, beloved by fans, critics, and fellow entertainers alike. Famed music critic and author, Ann Powers, calls Clark, “a storyteller of the highest caliber.” Brandy Clark will play at the Watson Stage on Friday.
“We are extremely excited to be adding these artists to an already stellar lineup for 2018. They represent the diverse talent that MerleFest is famous for,” says Ted Hagaman, Festival Director. The 2018 current lineup may be viewed at www.MerleFest.org/lineup.
Tickets for the festival may be purchased at www.MerleFest.org or by calling 1-800-343-7857. MerleFest offers a three-tiered pricing structure and encourages fans to take advantage of the extended early bird discount. Early Bird Tier 1 tickets may be purchased from November 14 to February 18, 2018; Early Bird Tier 2 tickets from February 19 to April 25. Tickets will be sold using Tier 3 pricing at the gate during the festival.
