Day 4 of the 30 Days of Weevils challenge spotlights the Beautiful Clown Weevil (Eudiagogus pulcher)!

This aptly-named weevil - with lovely black spots and peachy iridescence - is native to North America. Members of their genus, Eudiagogus, are also called sesbania clown weevils because they feed on Sesbania pea plants.

Bugs in a bug circus? It's more likely than you'd think. More info under the cut.

So fun fact, Lampry was actually raised by a traveling miinu circus, and I finally got around to designing some of the troupe.

Peaberry is a transfem Peacock Spider who runs the show. She's boisterous and can dazzle a crowd, but she also runs a tight ship and can be a stickler for perfection, making sure everyone knows their routines so every show runs smoothly.

Picasso is a laid back clown who is nurturing and caring to the other members of the troupe. She's always trying to put a smile on people's face, while also making sure they are drinking enough water and taking breaks.

Singh is the oldest of the troupe and has a way with animals, and practically has a sixth sense with them. Don't ask him if he samples from them.

Ela and Eli are a brother and sister pair of acrobatic click beetles, always trying to show off and out compete each other.

hey um I was wondering if you could tell me where to start reading blue beetle comics? Perhaps a reading order? I've been trying to read jamie reyes' blue beetle comics but I never really knew where to start😅

Sure dude! I definitely recommend you begin with the original run, which started in 2006. Not only is it the very beginning, but according to a lot of blue blue beetle enjoyers I have talked to its the best. It's by far the best characterization of Jaime that I've seen so far from any of the books.

Stay AWAY from new 52. The art is cool and there's some awesome body horror moments but overall... nope just don't.

I personally liked rebirth but I know a lot of other people hated it. If your just looking to consume some blue beetle content it's not a bad way to go at all, the original run is just better.

I haven't read it myself, but I've heard mixed reviews about Graduation day. The art isn't really my taste but I don't think it's bad enough to wreck the reading experience. Lots of teamwork with the teen titans and the Justice League in that one.
