A few random Avatar thoughts I’ve had recently
I’m been thinking about some things and I just want to put them out and see what everyone else thinks about them
First this is more of a headcanon but I was reading the Avatar cookbook and I kinda just laughed at the R.D.A section. I know the Avatar cookbook is full of the vegan recipes they had on set.I get that. But the R.D.A section reads : they serve up familiar foods with a vegan twist to respect the worlds limited resources. I just don’t buy that. The colonizers and planet destroyers are not respecting shit. So I had the idea that they clone meat. They already have cloning tech down, and cloning meat is something we already have today. It’s just not at a point where it could be mass produced. But by Avatar time? Absolutely. So that’s my headcanon. The R.D.A clones their meat. A really minor thing but I’m sure my fellow writers will agree minor details are just the things you get hung up on.
But now a bigger idea I’ve been thinking about. I’ve been fascinated recently by the physical state of the recoms when they woke up. By that I mean I’ve been thinking a lot about how exactly did they all wake up with their tattoos and hairstyles from their past lives? Because a clone wouldn’t just wake up like that. So my next thought was just oh it would have happened after they were decanted but before they woke up. Except:
You can clearly see they’re decanted like that. And that got me thinking about the state of Jake’s Avatar when it was decanted. I’m thinking that since the Avatar was organial made for Tommy there wasn’t a reason to put Jake’s tattoos on him. But at the bare minimum you’d need something to braid the hair around the neural whip because as we see on baby Neteyam and Kiri, Na’vi aren’t just born with a full braid. It has to be grown out. And yet Jake’s avatar had a perfect braid inside of the pod. So I’m thinking theirs some kind of little bot inside of the pod that’s used to care for the avatars. They’re a million dollars a pop so I’d think you’d want a bot that can do things like blood test or if a clone isn’t forming properly, do minor surgeries control by a doctor. But it can also be used for more aesthetic things as well like hair styling and tattooing so the Avatar driver can just wake up and go without having to mess with too much.
The recoms were obviously made to look as close to their past selves as possible so they wouldn’t “lose themselves” like Jake, Grace, Norm, and the other drivers all did. Z has full sleeves, Quaritch has his military tattoos. If you look closely Lyle’s recom has a faint shadow of hair on his head. So his new body doesn’t have male patterned baldness but his human body did so it was replicated on his clone. The R.D.A was so detailed with all these things - except Quaritch. Because his recom doesn’t have his most noticeable feature, the thing he shows off to Jake in the first movie- his scars. I don’t think it would have been hard to replicate them either. With my “little bot” theory as I’ll call it, you could simply use a laser scalpel to replicate the scars long before the clone is decanted so they have plenty of time to heal. But they didn’t. And I’m really scratching my head as to why?
Is it a visual cue to the audience that he is in fact not the same man as before? Or that this new version of him has the capacity to grow past the sins of his previous life. Did the R.D.A intentionally leave off the scars so he could be “pretty again” even though Quaritch himself said that he liked them? But why would they even care about something like that when the whole purpose of making them look like their human selves is to ground them in that life and make it harder from them to identify with the Na’vi despite looking exactly like them now. They omitted Quaritch’s most distinguished feature for what!
These are just thoughts kicking around in my head. I really want to know what everyone else thinks so please share your ideas 💙

Hiii I wanna hear all your thoughts about the clone fight because I cannot stop thinking abt it and you have good opinions
With pleasure, my friend!
Now, I understand why a lot of people have the headcanon that it was a rogue clone that led the attack and not Coomer Prime. However, I think the clone fight is a key part of Coomer's character arc, and leaving him out of it just isn't narratively satisfying.
The military ambush was the moment where the pieces came together for Dr. Coomer, and he realized that "Gordon" was a puppet for an outside force. Feeling powerless with the knowledge that existence itself was nothing more than a game for cosmic interlopers, he was desperate to gain some form of control and furious at Gordon for manipulating him and pretending to be his friend.
But if "Gordon" could inhabit this player character model and control the world... why couldn't he? If Coomer was the player, the one who can authorize PlayCoin transactions, the one who decides when the world stops and starts again? Oh, the potential would be limitless. He could get out! He could get all of them out! He wasn't the type to play God under normal circumstances, but seized by despair and seeing only one way out, now was the time.
Controlling all those clones is a disorienting feeling, and not easy to do! It's hard to explain, but there's plenty of reasons as to why he hadn't done it before in their adventure. He's much happier when all of his power is in one body, but an army was necessary to take out Gordon. An unfocused army admittedly, but it still would have been successful without Tommy.
...well, "successful" is relative. If he had killed Gordon, he would have gone back to his last autosave, which would have left everyone confused. Especially Gordon, currently lost in his own head about what was real.
Regardless. I've covered what comes next through a flashback in Streamer Unconsciousness, where Coomer out for blood until the clone he has the most focus on is dying. In those dying moments, he gets a good, solid look at Gordon's face, and realizes. Oh shit. This person is genuinely afraid for his life. I don't think he's here for fun.
So when his focus is back on his main body... he reconsiders. Gordon gets frustrated with them all easily, but he seems to care. He didn't need to keep saving them from danger. Coomer knows that the sense of loyalty he has towards Gordon is pre-programmed, but...perhaps that's okay. Maybe Gordon can be trusted after all. And besides, with the shape he's in right now, Gordon needs his help.
Maybe he can help Coomer in return. He can only hope.

This is his mom's couch and it was up at Castle and the back was torn off when they got it and the seats were dirty as if Kingsley was left alone and that's what happened and his mom was not there they didn't bother to take the dog as a matter of fact nobody did poor dog was alone and demanded out and he pushed the slider opened and he went to the yard and was stuck there so he went under the fence and kept going in and out for a few days and was tired and hungry finally he tried to turn himself in as her son has had to do at the hospital and we are repulsed by you so therefore his mom was probably around here somewhere and you think they see her walking around and she sounds like Louis then they find out Louis got an accident herself and he says I don't think so cuz her injuries are completely gone and it's true and her body was here the question is where did your brain go and people are going to be disgusted but the cart people out inside someone's lung in the hospital and they're finding that stuff out today it's been happening with these clones who steal stuff. And they murdered a lot of you a lot of you could killed by them. A lot of people of Garth used to say I don't care he's losing to us useless to us now he's not because they're taking a lot of stuff from his Island in this area where they used to take stuff and implicated them and huge amounts of stuff just way more than he could take. And all these people are wise asses and feeling so confident and arrogant are changing there too because people who leave the cities are telling them this is a nightmare that people were just getting zapped and they're taking them out of buildings and the empire is on a rampage after the clones and decided to kill them All and they're going after them very hard and people see why it's because they can find out what they did very quickly. Well others take a while and do stupid things most the time like these two idiots in the apartment near our son three really they're so dumb they're getting shot by the guy and act like they don't care it's deep inside they know about it it's kind of forget sort of you he thinks that they expose him because he's been abusive and they keep coming back and came from one of Terry cheesman's movies and the guy says that's fine he has to pay somehow and he's paying humongous armies are going after his shifts and it's one because of cycle but really because of this they're probably twice as big as they were going to be and he's going to get knocked out he doesn't take off he's going to get buried himself too.
This couch is testimony to how much people should hate these clones his mom was healthy people and was a decent person to a lot of people and they pushed her down and made her ugly later mean and she wasn't at me and she just kept recovering and they got sick of it so our son is fighting for his life and doing well and this is going to be a massive death blow to those idiot clothes Tommy have a shot him or shot at him three times and it bounced off and we don't want to have to go through that again we want this guy gone. He's been shot since but not in the same spot and his clothes say we should shoot him in the same spot and then try and get people to do it and never works my son says let me shoot him I'll get him the right spot. They are laughing I said boy that would push it over the top then he says it doesn't say anything about not shooting him elsewhere.
So the a****** is trying to threaten him is saying screw you and we are going to crush him and the rest of the world is
-right now they are going after the clones and it's everybody and to take them down they are the way of prosperity. They also are in the way of people accessing their ships in the bunkers around it where they say they have factories and don't need stuff and they haven't seen trying to blow things up quite a bit and a sudden and daughter saved by removing this network and give them less reason to be topside. That's true too is only a few things that they have top side that require a lot of people and that's one of them the other rating parties it's going to be good because of separating the two these guys are quimpy and acted and try not to be discovered and they're dying rapidly and their hospital people and they got him into the hospital a few times sex 3 out of five or something a little over half the other was you guys cuz you're so smart so we're going after both more luck

copying the readmore just in case uwu
I’m returning to the shit I was talking about in the tags of that last post. Processing trauma n why those responses specifically.
Wether you’re sticking to game canon or its-all-real aus, Coomer has the strongest sense of self awareness out of anyone. For reality, and for himself. So I think that self awareness coupled with a lack of direction after Black Mesa would lead to depression. Coomer probably would struggle with loneliness and a sense of unreality after. There’s no script, no clones, no adrenaline to guide him. He probably sprung at the idea of a heist because he knows what to do, there’s expectation involved and people to work with.
Bubby has never been outside Black Mesa (if there’s anything out there). His ‘childhood’, education, career, and social life existed entirely within the compound. Trying to adjust to the world outside while processing that his home is gone and was also awful is hard. That kinda emotional introspection is difficult to navigate even if you’re comfortable with vulnerability. Which he isn’t. Bubby would likely be in denial over most Black Mesa experiences because confronting how he feels is too painful.
Tommy is shockingly adept with a gun and had to solely defend a half-dead Gordon against one of their friends. Later, his dad throws him a party after he killed another of his friends. Tommy might be desensitized to physical violence, but he’s never had a moment to stop and process anything. So many people he’s close to have hurt each other or him. He’d probably be anxious over interpersonal conflict and avoid emotional confrontation.
The last post was about Gordon developing reckless behavior patterns after Black Mesa, and I stand by that. But he also shows learned helplessness. Every situation he’s been in (the resonance cascade, the loss of limb, the boss fights) he has been unable to control outside of violence. Constant life or death stress reactions. Guy’s gonna oscillate between fearful resignation and dangerous risk taking without any self awareness.
Benrey’s harder to understand. He’s a weird little guy who occasionally does some reality-bending horror shit. In the ACAB stream, he’s just a little friendlier. I think if he processes anything, he’d be dealing with unfamiliar emotions. Guilt from hurting and scaring his friends. Resentment from being killed, and misunderstood, and for making him feel bad about his actions.

sleepy boys inc x gn!teen! reader headcannons
trying something new! i like bbs and all, but i wanted to write for other youtubers! lemme know if yall wanna see more content like this lol.
this takes place in a minecraft au!!! also, mentions of bad parenting/abusive parents
wc: 2,319
okay the sleepy boys
chaos incarnated, all of them. you can’t deny it
so, when tommy invites a friend from a local village, at first, everyone else is skeptical. since when has tommy made a friend who didn’t hate him within 20 minutes from all the screaming and insults he spewed?
unlike his friends, phil is more excited than anything. though he isn’t tommy’s dad, he feels like it sometimes, so he really wants to meet this new person who has caught the youngest’s attention
techno is very much not on board. he has a hard time trusting people at first glance and having been friends with tommy for the longest, he knows that tommy readily jumps the gun and attempts to befriend literally anything just because he can
and wilbur? indifferent for the most part. yes, he feels the need to make sure tommy is protected and cared for, but he also recognizes that this situation is out of his hands. the best he can do is hope that their friend isn’t an absolute asshole
so, it’s saturday. all three men are sitting on the couch in phil’s cottage, talking amongst themselves as they wait for tommy to come back. techno makes a joke about murdering them, which leads to phil scolding him about his violent tendencies
“you haven’t even met them yet, techno, what the fuck.”
wilbur is simply adding fuel to the fire, making little remarks here and there and watching the whole thing escalate to phil lecturing the piglin hybrid.
because of this, not one of them had noticed that tommy returned, with his newest friend. they both stopped at the sight of phil in dad mode, tommy considering just turning around and taking his friend as far away as physically possible
too late, since techno’s sixth sense made him whip around and stare at the newcomer. this made phil stop lecturing and wilbur quit giggling long enough for tommy to introduce his friend
after saying their name, the friend lifted their hand shyly, face burning from slight embarrassment. their other hand was latched onto tommy’s, feeling intimidated.
can you blame them? the fucking blood god looks like they wanna skewer them and cook them over a campfire.
tommy took notice of their shyness and cleared his throat, “we were planning on going to the carnival in their village if you three assholes feel like tagging along.”
like there was any way they were gonna let tommy and his friend go out without chaperones.
tommy turned back to his friend, “give me a second, i’m gonna go grab my sword just in case.” and proceeded to run up the stairs and towards the guest bedroom in phil’s house that he claimed.
the millisecond he was out of earshot, techno grabbed his friend by the front of the shirt.
“what are your intentions with tommy?”
the friend blinked once, twice, then bit back a smile. “you’re asking that as if i’m about to date that motherfucker.”
this time, it was wilbur who bit back a grin of his own. who would’ve expected the originally shy kid to have replied like that????
techno’s brain short circuited and his grip on their shirt loosened slightly. did.... did this kid just brush off his question???
“can you put me down? you’re gonna stretch my shirt.”
techno’s brain blinked back into focus and he gripped the kid’s shirt harder, shoving them against the nearest wall. “i asked a question, kid.”
“you know, tommy told me something like this would happen. i’m glad i came prepared.” and then, tommy’s friend sucked in a deep breath. techno leaned back, expecting the worst...
“MWISTER TECHNWOBWADE, PWEASE PUT MWE DOWN BEFWORE I SCWEAM”
oh god, this was far worse than anything he thought of.
he dropped the teen out of disgust more than anything, reeling backwards. if there was one thing that haunted his dreams, it was uwu-speak.
phil started howling of laughter, clutching his stomach and hunching over. originally he was going to stop techno from threatening a literal child but this outcome was so much better than anything he was anticipating
wilbur was no better, already tearing up from how hard he was snickering. he started choking on his own spit at one point, smacking his arm against the couch.
tommy was so fucking confused when he came back down the stairs, seeing the mayhem that was, for once, not caused by him. he glanced at his friend, who had the world’s biggest shiteating grin.
yeah, they were gonna fit in just fine.
and they did! phil took them under his wing (both physically and metaphorically) and allowed them to come visit his home whenever they wished. and whenever they did, phil was the first to ask how they’ve been and what they were up to
to phil’s surprise, the kid was overall calm in their choice of activities. things like playing soccer or drawing or figuring out how to learn instruments in their free time. it seemed like they were desperate to get their hands on anything and everything just to learn
he found it funny, though, when their chaotic side shone through. they easily were on tommy’s level when they got into that headspace and it was so hilarious to him.
his favorite memory of the kid was when they walked into the house and marched right up to where techno was reading idly in the corner. planting their hands on their hips, they spoke.
“if you were to fuck a clone of yourself, would it be masturbation or would you be considered gay?”
phil, who was washing the dishes six feet away from them, just about crumbled into a ball on the floor from how hard he was laughing and sobbing.
of all questions, that was the one that came out.
but he had no idea that the chaos was a coping mechanism. he just thought they were naturally like that in their free time.
he soon found out the truth when they came home with tommy, who was cursing up a fit, visibly angry. his friend was slumped over, as if trying to hide themselves from the world
when phil asked what had happened, tommy exploded.
“their fucking dad took all their money from their savings! said he needed it more than them and when they asked for it back, he called them a fucking disappointment! that fucking bitch--”
phil can count very few times when he felt true anger and he can confirm that when tommy had told him what had gone down, he saw red.
but he knew better than to outwardly show it. judging by how hunched over and defeated the kid was, what they needed was a stable support system
so he walked over and shut tommy up with a hand on his shoulder, “why don’t we take the rest of the night to build up that game room you wanted in the basement. i’m sure if we knock it out before techno and wil are supposed to be back, we can all play something like monopoly.”
seeing where phil was headed, tommy nodded and brushed away his anger. he knew that what his friend needed was a serious cheering up. tommy ran towards his guest bedroom, claiming that he was going to find his blocks.
phil crouched in front of the teen, tilting their head up to look him in the eyes. “you’re not a disappointment. you’re an amazing person with a chaotic joke machine going 120 kilos over the speed limit in your head and you are talented. your dad doesn’t know shit about what you’re capable of doing.”
oh boy, the kid’s crying. those are tears, full on tears.
that night was one of the best nights of their life, however. they enjoyed the entire three hour long game of monopoly where they watched the light leave everyone’s eyes. it was funny when wilbur lunged across the table when he landed on a railroad, out for phil’s blood.
speaking of wilbur, he enjoyed every minute in the kid’s presence. they often asked creative and random questions and went along with the abstract jokes he made, the two of them laughing heartily the entire time.
when the kid first mentioned wanting to learn how to play the guitar, he practically burst through the wall of the room next door, breathing heavily and exaggeratedly.
“did someone say guitar”
yeah, he’s feral. that’s canon.
they proceeded to spend the entire day in phil’s garden, each of them equipped with a guitar. despite their outwardly smooth brain and stupid demeanor, the teen was a fast learner and could play the most basic chords by the time the sun was setting.
wilbur’s favorite moment was the first night they met, when they went to the carnival. there was the game where you shoot the water and fill up the balloons and the kid was going head to head against techno and tommy.
it was when techno won that the teen turned to techno with murder in their eyes and spoke in a deadpan tone of voice,
“you’re lucky you won this time, you gentrified mayo monkey.”
wilbur’s jaw dropped, as did techno and phil’s. tommy was already in hysterics, smacking his hand against the counter that held the guns.
needless to say, wilbur found his favorite, not-quite sibling in a heartbeat.
techno was the last to come around with the child. can you blame him? every time he tried to threaten them or had beaten them at something, they would respond in a cryptic threat--
“i’m going to pee your pants if you don’t let me win”
or just brushed him off. without a second thought.
“anyways, i was murdering a chicken the other day, and the fucker had the audacity to ribbit at me.”
to say he was confused was an understatement. he was terrified of the fact that a literal child held so much power and disinterest in things like their own life. so for the first few months, he avoided them.
but he had seen past that when it was around midnight on a weekday. tommy was hanging out with tubbo and ranboo in their village miles away from the area. wilbur was out drinking with schlatt, niki, and fundy, and phil was already asleep.
techno wasn’t too far behind, sitting in front of the fireplace and staring out of the window that showed the front yard. it was only then when he saw the flash of a familiar face and looked closer as the teen walked up to the house quietly. their head was down and they carried a small bag with them.
techno opened the front door with a long creak as they reached the porch steps. it was only when they jumped and looked up in surprise that techno had noticed a deep bruise on their left cheek in the moonlight.
despite the fact that he kept away from them, techno was very protective and territorial of tommy, phil, and wilbur. and since they were attached to the teen, he became protective of them as well.
so all the voices in his head went quiet for a second. before exploding into a mixture of screams and threats, all leading back to protecting the child in front of him.
without thinking, he reached forward and cupped their face for a better view of the bruise. at the warm and soft touch, tears slipped down the kid’s cheeks and they sniffed pathetically.
the voices quickly took a 180, all screaming to take care of them. make them feel better. so, techno led the kid inside and let them spend the night in his room, with them falling asleep on the bed and him falling asleep on the rocking chair in his room.
phil did not hesitate to officially declare himself as the teen’s official father, saying that their biological father was a “little bitch”
now somewhat living with the teen, techno found an appreciation for their quieter moments, when they were reading or simply daydreaming. it was cute, in his eyes. but he also grew to enjoy when they were absolutely feral, especially toward tommy.
his favorite moment with them was when they had gifted tommy a music disc for his birthday. it was sweet and sentimental and tommy just about burst into tears when he saw it.
all of the sappiness quickly vanished when tommy put it into a jukebox.
“FUCK THIS PUSSY, BOY, FUCK. FUCK IT RIGHT, BOY--”
tommy had let out the most terrified scream and it practically engrained itself into techno’s brain. it was the first time he ever laughed at something the teen had done and the teen felt proud of themselves.
and finally, tommy. he was already happy to call himself a friend of the teen’s. they were like peas in a pod, working together.
tommy came to them when his insecurity felt heavy and they came to him whenever their dad’s words got to them. they had a nice system of dependency on one another and neither of them would trade it for the world.
tommy’s favorite moment of being friends with them was during their first birthday living in phil’s house. it was a birthday befitting their personality, with brightly color streamers hung and confetti all over the floor. he knew that they enjoyed it severely and once the cake was cut, the kid turned to phil.
“phil, where’s the big tiddy strippers i requested?”
tommy was GONE
he all but choked on his slice of cake and walked away, shaking his head while trying to stifle his giggles. but when he heard phil’s scream of “WHAT”, he just lost it.
all in all, his friend had made a fine part of the sleepy boys. they were a happy face in an otherwise somewhat bleak and dangerous world. and all four men appreciated it.

Techno: “You’re getting tortured?”
Dream: “Yes!”
Techno: “Bro I cannot relate at all. That is a you problem. Maybe I’m just like their favorite prisoner so they don’t do that.”
Dream: “They haven’t even been here since you got in here!”
Techno: “That --that could -- also po-- maybe it’s ‘cause they just know that I’m their favorite prisoner. They don’t even have to check up on me ‘cause I’m just so obedient.”

Dream: “I have been in here! For months!”
Techno: “Oh yeah!”
- Dream tosses a potato in the lava
Dream: “Does this hurt you?”
Techno: “...I mean a little.”

Dream: “It was something to do, but now there’s nothing.”
Techno: “Well, at least we can hang out and be friends.”
- He starts going up to Dream and bumping them
Techno: “Friendsss.”
Dream: (walking away) “Personal space!”

Dream: “...No...”
Techno: “You hesitated.”
- Techno asks for Dream’s pen name. Dream insists he’s never written on Wattpad
Techno: “So it’s a different website, is what you’re saying.”
- Dream instead wants to focus on getting out of prison. Techno asks for his ideas, but Dream says it should be Techno with the ideas
Techno: “Eh, yeah, I’ll get to it later man.”
- Techno encourages Dream to have a more optimistic outlook. Dream says that at least he’s not been tortured since Techno’s been here
Techno: “You gotta go with the flow!”
- Dream walks over to the lava
Techno: “Not that flow -- not -- not that flow. No -- no, don’t go -- don’t go into that flow!”
- Dream steps into the lava and sets himself on fire, then goes over to the water to extinguish it
Techno: “That’s the better flow right there.”
Dream: “See? It’s -- it’s exhilarating.”
Techno: “That’s just -- I would not recommend that. That is not healthy behavior, alright. I think you should see a psychologist.”
Dream: “WHERE?!”
Techno: “I dunno, what kinda prison is this? They don’t have psychologists?”
Dream: “They don’t have anything! They have torture --”
Techno: “I’m startin’ to think they don’t care about our human rights all that much. You were sayin’ you were getting tortured? Who’s been torturing you?”
Dream: “Quackity!”
Techno: “Yeah, that adds up.”
Dream: “Every day!”
- Dream says that Quackity’s torturing him for the revive book, and Techno asks more about how the revival process works. Dream explains that to revive people, he gets a book and then burns it
- Techno asks if it’s an incantation. After learning what ‘incantation’ means, Dream says it’s something like that. He isn’t sure how Schlatt got it in the first place, but he memorized the book and can recreate it
- Techno suggests Dream give the knowledge to him as insurance, but Dream refuses, as they might go after Techno. Techno asks to see the book, but Dream still doesn’t
Dream: “This is like the house situation all over again.”
Techno: “Oh yeah...well on the bright side, you’re not homeless anymore!”
Dream: “True...this is -- to be fair, I did say I had a giant house. This is pretty giant.”
Techno: “It is filled with redstone! I didn’t think you were telling the truth, but here you are. Here you are...how much is rent to live in this boiling cell every day?”
Dream: “It’s...free.”
Techno: “God, that’s incredible.”
Dream: “Except for I get tortured every day!”
Techno: “Well I mean, California rent prices are basically torture so, you know, you take what you can get man, come on.”
- The subject returns to how they haven’t been visited in two weeks. Dream asks what they’re going to do when they get out, but Techno hasn’t thought that far ahead
- Dream writes in his diary that Techno admitted he has a house
- Dream asks Techno about life. When Techno isn’t in a cell, he usually trains to find new forms of combat to get ahead in the arms race for the fight against government
- He also plays golf
- Techno hasn’t spoken to Tommy, hasn’t seen him. He thinks Tommy stole some things from his house a while ago
- Dream then asks how his horse is doing. Techno tells him about his pet foxes and Steve (who is going to break him out of there any second)
- Dream writes these down in his book because it’s hard for him to remember things
- Dream asks who’s feeding his pets. Techno says that Steve can feed himself and it’ll probably be fine for Carl to find grass
- Techno pronounces it as “gif”
- He asks if Dream would like to start a podcast. The Prison Podcast
- Dream wonders what would happen if he tried to revive someone who wasn’t dead
Dream: “What if I try and revive you? What if it goes wrong?”
Techno: “Maybe there’ll be two of me. And then we can be double friends. Wouldn’t that be nice? Two Technoblades?”
Dream: “Well, doubles the likelihood of me getting out of here, but...”
Techno: “Exactly, exactly. The next time they come to visit us in prison, there’s just gonna like be thirty-five Technoblades. And when they try to torture you, I can be like a human meat shield and just wave after wave of Technoblades swarms them and just beats them up.”
- Techno’s okay with trying it, so Dream writes a book and burns it. When they turn around, though, it’s DreamXD who appears
- Techno remembers XD as the person who broke his table, some sort of god
Techno: “You cloned the wrong person! Dream, you fool! Look at him! ...You know that’s actually something I’ve been meaning to ask you -- how come God looks exactly like you? That feels like a question that should’ve occurred to me earlier.”
- Dream doesn’t answer, confused, but asks what they should do. Techno tries talking to him
DreamXD: what are you doing
Techno: chilling
DreamXD: what do you want summoning me
Techno: yo can you grant a wish
DreamXD: one
Techno: i want a bell
- DreamXD gives them a bell and leaves just in time for the sellout timer to go off. Dream is outraged that Techno would spend their wish on a bell and goes over to stare into the lava while Techno enthusiastically rings it
- Dream wonders what Sam and Quackity will say when they see the bell. They try standing next to each other in front of the bell to block the view
- They can’t summon DreamXD a second time
- They talk a bit more about the books. Dream gives Techno some potatoes (in Techno’s inventory he also has four books by Dream, one of which is titled “information”)
- Dream asks about why Techno rings the bell. Techno says it’s about the rituals, and Dream comments that he put a bell in Church Prime (“which is not to be spoken of here”)
- Techno asks if Dream can even get Twitch Primes and claims that Dream is a heretic due to not being under contract. Dream isn’t profiting off of anyone
- Dream has 51 potatoes remaining
Techno: “So uh...got any friends? Hang out with anybody? You know, before the whole thrown in prison thing?”
Dream: “Not really...I did, and then they...turned against me.”
Techno: “Ah. I know that feeling man, I know that feeling.”
Dream: “Just being betrayed by your closest friends...”
Techno: “Ah yeah, happens all the time. Every Tuesday, really.”
Dream: “I’ve been visited by a few people.”
Techno: “Pog, pog. Did any of them like, not try to torture or kill you?”
Dream: “...Yeah?”
Techno: “He hesitated.”
Dream: “Well...Sapnap didn’t torture and kill me, but then he said if I get out of here, he would.”
Techno: “You GOTTA raise your standards, man. You gotta raise your stand-- you’re just getting treated like dirt out here, man. That is just sad. That is just sad! You gotta meet some new people, man.”
Dream: “I think BadBoyHalo treated me the best, probably.”
Techno: “BadBoyHalo, you say?”
Dream: “He treated me the best, probably, when he visited me before.”
Techno: “Yeah, I’m pretty sure he’s like a cult leader or something, actually, I hate to break it to you.”
Dream: “Wait, what?!”
Techno: “Yeah, there was like this Egg thing...I wasn’t quite clear on what was going on.”
Dream: “That was months ago! He visited me like four months ago, five months ago.”
- Techno talks a bit about how he attacked the Egg cult, “big crossover episode.” Dream asks when was the last time the two of them -- Dream and Techno -- spoke. It was Doomsday, a while ago
- Dream asks about current events, but Techno isn’t the best person to ask about that. Tubbo has a new commune called Snowchester that Techno’s still a bit suspicious of
- Dream asks how Ranboo is. Techno offhandedly mentions that Tubbo might have nukes, maybe as a hobby. Maybe the crater was just Tubbo trying to scare him
- Dream doesn’t know a lot about the outside world. Ranboo used to visit a lot -- the most of everyone until Quackity -- a while ago, but then he stopped. Sapnap, Ranboo, Tommy, Bad and Quackity all visited
- He then comments that Techno seems to like potatoes. Techno asks how Dream knows Ranboo, which Dream says is “a long story.” Then Dream says he doesn’t know Ranboo that well, he just visited a couple times
- Dream asks about the plan to get out again. Techno says that even with the mining fatigue, they can still break blocks. But most of the blocks would set off the alarms, so he suggests the block beneath the toilet
- Even if they break the blocks, there’s an Elder Guardian beneath the cell
Techno: “I can take him...hey, how ‘bout I jump in there, I start beatin’ it up, and if I somehow die despite my elite martial arts prowess, you can just bring me back and I can jump in again and keep beatin’ it up, and then if I die you can just bring me back and I’ll jump in and I’ll keep beatin’ it up.”
- If people come to check on them, one of them can be the lookout
- Techno directs Dream to start punching the block for 24 hours, promising to feed potatoes to him while he punches if he gets hungry
- Dream starts punching
Techno: “What are they gonna do if they catch us, put us in double jail, man?”
- They continue chatting as Dream punches, wondering why the icon for the mining fatigue effect is a spoon. Dream talks about the cat they used to have in there. Eventually the sellout timer goes off again.
Techno starts ringing.

Upcoming events remain the same.

DSMP Tinkerbell fairies
Water : Eret - Tina - Boomer
Light : Sapnap (Spark) - Niki - Tommy (Flash) - Skeppy (Glitter)
Garden : BBH - Ponk - Hannah - Squidkid
Animal : Antfrost - (Ranboo) - Hbomb - Seapeekay
Tinker : Fundy - Tubbo - Awesamdude - FoolishG - Ph1lza (<- Voltigeur)
Fast flying : Dream - (Ranboo) - Purpled - Connoreatspants
Story-telling : Wilbur - Schlatt - Quackity - Karl
Frost : George - Technoblade
Scouts : Punz - MichaelMcchill - Puffy (<-> pirate) - Eryn
Dust Keepers : Drista - Callahan - XD (King of fairies)
Others: Slimecicle (troll) - Prime (Mother Dove) - A strange red egg (The Egg)
- o - o -
XD is the King of faeries, but no one put him there. He just is.
Their Mother Dove is named “Prime”. Drista is clearly her favorite, giving her plenty pixie dust and great abilities (no one surpasses her ability except XD whom she still likes to trick with Tommy’s help).
Ranboo has two talents (animal and fast flying) because he was born from a siamese baby (two souls, one body).
Puffy lost all her previous memory, only remembering the wrecked pirate ship where she awoke : she is now a scout for Dream Land. She doesn’t seem to want to learn more.
George can’t see Dream, one of his two best friends, because the cold would damage Dream’s wings (cfr Ph1lza’s case). Sapnap is able to keep himself warm enough to visit the frost fairy once : George awaits impatiently the authorization to go to Dream Land’s Valley (as a frost fairy, he must prove he won’t kill any plants or animals with his power). For now, the two fairies communicates through letters that they sent as paper plane across the border.
Dream is a bragging fast-flying fairy. He is one of the few fairies able to get rid of lizards, growing used to this frightening species that keeps taking him for some yummy supper. His best friend is Sapnap, the first light fairy who asked himself “what happens when sunbeams concentrate on one point” and burned down the light-talented fairies camp’s down. He has now quite the, deserved, arsonist reputation.
Tommy, a newer light fairy, would like to have such a cool talent too. Sadly, his only consists on changing the lights he emits. His pet peeve is making himself so blinding no one can look at him (plenty annoying for the other fairies and a very efficient weapon). Despite his behaviour, he is actually a sweetheart.
Wilbur is a talented story-telling fairy, all coming to listen to him. But he is also really famous for the “Moon light” case, where he tried to study the moon stone, entrusted to Ph1lza, with… unconventional ways. No one knows what really happened there but the whole house was blown-up and Ghostbur was born, a blue immaterial clone of the story-telling fairy.
Ph1lza’s case : one of the oldest fairy (rumors say he can rivalize XD). He is one of the most revered tinker-talented fairy, having built masses of housing (and some fairies would even claim cities) across the world. He came from a different colony, ruled by a Queen fairy he calls “Mumza”. Sadly, he broke one of his wings while exploring winter land. His other one was saved by a young lost frost fairy he took under his surviving wing. Since then he is grounded in Dream Land. He tries to replicate his broken wing but the bird ones he created, thanks to friendly crows (who love his tinkering), can only help him fly short distance.
The frost fairy who saved Ph1lza’s life an other wing is none other than Techno. His abilities are actually deadly, frosting things to the bone with a simple intent. He hates them, seeing as they sometimes burst out of him and hurt (already killed) all closes to him. Technoblade works hard to become a tinker-talented fairy, inspired and helped by his best friend Ph1l, despite knowing he won’t ever change his true nature : he wants to at least change his reputation.
Tubbo, one of the newer fairies, has a terrible burn across his body due to contact with sub-zero ice. He refuses to elaborate on the causes. He likes bees and met Ranboo through them, the newer fairy trying to learn about his double talent : he heavily despises Shroud, a giant spider who Tommy claimed as his new pet when it invaded his house. Tommy definitely didn’t adopt Shroud because Tubbo met Ranboo through their love for animals.
Another lover of dangerous animals is Hbomb, who once went to Earth and fell in love with cats. He created his own cat cafe just to present the beautiful creature to his fairy companions. He doesn’t have the success he hopes for but Hbomb is not the type to give up ! He then created an help desk of “catmaid”, going to help people across Dream Land.
FoolishG is the actual architect of Dream Land, getting by this position a privileged bond with XD (which he loooves /s). He is a master at visualizing builds and created a whole new species (little totems he calls the doozers) to help him. Sadly, XD, Hbomb’s catmaid services and BBH new cactus plantation all collaborate to make his life a nightmare.
BBH and Antfrost are great friends. So when BBH discovers a mysterious red egg under the earth, it’s him that he calls. The egg intrigues both fairies because it seems to be both a true egg and a plant : maybe more fairies will be able to tell them ? BBH contacts Hannah and Ponk, both plants (flowers and fruits) specialists. Antfrost goes to find Puffy, who explored far and wide, and Punz.
Punz is a great scout, but he could have been a great shop tenant. Any kind of precious object can grant you his help. He especially loves gold things.
Skeppy is actually the one who found the egg, but he was way less interested in it than Bad. Nowadays, he loves cave exploring, where he disappears for days, searching for garnets and rubies.
Ponk used to care for a lemon tree even bigger than the Prime tree : but after several fire that burned it to the ground, he couldn’t bear it anymore. He went far away, on the border of Dream Land, to care for his new plants. He also specializes in medicine and treatments.
Despite thorns being often associated with roses, Hannah keeps her hidden away. The only great conflict she had with anyone was when Boomer, in a fool incident, crushed her garden with his frog and ripped her house for the flower stem. With XD’s help, he tried to make it right again.
Boomer lives in a swamp and he is proud of it. He is the fastest water fairy as he rides on his pet frog’s back : he must still be careful not to be taken for an insect by the other frogs.
Quackity owns his very own theater, a magnificent place which seems made by a light fairy. He even engaged a troll, called Slimecicle, to o the heavy work. The two seemed to have form a great friendship. The sun is deadly to Slimecicle though and Quackity is really careful when mornings come. (Purpled, not so much)
Purpled can go really high, supporting the lack of air and the change of pressure. It is rumored he can go to space, giving him “the alien” nickname.
Every fairy knows that Schlatt would do anything for some raspberry juice, especially if it comes from Quackity’s reserve.
Fundy loves to play tricks on people using his inventions, but would rather not assume the consequences : that’s why he always does them while wearing a fox’s mask. The poor Seapeekay had some trouble over that confusion, many thinking the trickster was the game commentator.
Eret has the best fashion sense of all the valley. She also made a shell castle by the river side, with a permanent rainbow surrounding it.
Niki is solar. She warms people that comes near her, both metaphorically and literally. Her passion for pastries made her house one of the most visited of the valley. She doesn’t fear the cold and has a great friendship with Techno, Ph1lza and Ranboo, who she often see.
Karl is a strange case : he loves to go to the human world and is fascinated by all he sees there. He spends so much time going from one world to the other he often loss count of the days that pass an the strain that it puts on his fairies friends, who don’t know if he died, disappeared or just went away. He also forgets people change. His bubbly personality and large circle of friends easily make up for it though. Karl isn’t afraid of human, and currently love talking with Mr Beast, a “youtuber” who loves to show Karl to his “viewers”. Mr Beast always have great trinkets and fun games for Karl.
Callahan is the one making sure every fairy gets his dose of pixie dust, counting and grinding Prime’s feathers. He seems rather shy with people he doesn’t know, but his friends are aware he is simply silent, not calm.
Connoreatspants is the most lazy fast-flying fairy around. He is also the fastest. People often find him when they least expect him.
Squidkid is the infamous loser of the Great Potato War, a conflict instigated by Technoblade. The frost fairy managed to get more potatoes than the poor garden fairy, inflicting him an ego blow that will follow him ‘till the end.
If Tommy was a Tinker Bell fairy his name would be Silly Tumble and you can't convince me otherwise

- Ability: Battle Armor
- Apart of Team Sunrise, Partnered with Tommy
- Has no memory other than his name and the fact that he used to be human
- Was first found by Tommy, unconscious on the Beach
- Intially creates an Exploration Team with Tommy to both make Tommy happy since it’s his dream and to search for clues as to why he’s suddenly a Pokémon and how to change back
- However, Gordon ends up liking being in an Exploration Team since a part of the job is about helping others. Gordon’s natural protective nature means he fits the job like a glove
- Trying to find a reason to why he’s not Human anymore but Gordon’s starting to wonder... Does he even want to go back? He likes being in an Exploration Team with Tommy- is there anything for him if he returns to the Human World?
- Was trying to keep his whole ‘Human Turned Pokémon’ thing a secret from the general public but somehow, word gets out
- Doesn’t want to drag Tommy into it when people start searching for Gordon but Tommy won’t leave his side, no matter how hard he tries
TOMMY-
- Gordon’s Exploration Partner (And Just Might Play A Very Important Role In Saving The World)
- Pikachu
- Moves: Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, Agility, Swift
- Ability: Static
- Apart of Team Sunrise, Partnered With Gordon
- Has wanted to be in an Exploration Team since he was a Pichu. His adoptive mother is a retired Explorer who often told him bedtime stories about her adventures, inspiring him
- Now has his own place but keeps in touch with his mom. They’re pretty close
- Was also childhood friends with both Darnold and Benrey. Tommy and Darnold keep in touch while Tommy lost contact with Benrey after he suddenly disappeared- Tommy hasn’t seen him in years... Until now!
- Found Gordon unconscious on the Beach and instantly took him in, letting him stay in his spare room. Given Gordon has nowhere else to go, they’re now roommates!
- Loves being able to travel to new places and seeing all the beautiful places around the world as an Explorer

- Ability (As Totodile): Sheer Force
- Has no Defensive or Status Moves
- Not apart of any Exploration Team but hangs around Team Sunrise a lot
- Was childhood friends with Tommy (And aquatinted with Darnold)
- Was employed to someone he doesn’t like talk about for a good chunk of his life. Benrey doesn’t talk about what he was employed for either, but it might have something to do with his ability to transform very convincingly...
- Was acquainted with Forzen, though Forzen wouldn’t recognize him in his Totodile form
- Has a lot of secrets. Benrey’s not proud of who he used to be
- A lot more powerful than he looks
- Very few know that Benrey is actually a Ditto given he stays transformed so often. Even fewer can recognize him once he’s transformed
- Almost always on edge, no matter how well he hides it. There’s a high bounty on the head of one of his forms so he has to keep his head down, hiding as a Totodile
- Joins Team Sunrise on a lot of missions despite not being officially apart of the group
- Knows Gordon’s secret and is determined to keep him safe, at all costs

- Breloom
- Moves: Seed Bomb, Brick Break, Dynamic Punch, Sword Dance

- Was previously in an Explorer Team called Team Belladonna with his Ex, however they broke up and he stopped exploring a couple months before he met Bubby
- Found Bubby unconscious on a Mountain and his Explorer instincts kicked in, quickly helping him and having Bubby stay with him while he recovered
- Originally Bubby was only meant to stay until he recovered his memory but it ended up becoming a more permanent arrangement later
- Formed an Exploration Team both to help Bubby search for answers and because Coomer missed it as it was a big part of his life

- Bubby keeps the fact that he used to be Human under heavy lock and key. The only other person he told was Coomer, otherwise, Bubby is pretty distrusting towards others
- Initially became an Explorer with Coomer because of his determination to figure out why he’s a Pokémon but stayed because he genuinely enjoyed the work
- Despite his initial drive to figure out how to become Human again, Bubby no longer pursues this. He likes his life with Coomer, he doesn’t want it to change

- Likes to talk to one of his regulars at New Leaf, a Bounty Hunter who has plenty of interesting stories and is overall fun to talk to
- Recently got employed by someone who gives him a weird vibe. Darnold doesn’t know what it is but all they want is for him to make a machine that can open portals and... Well, it sounds interesting and harmless enough?
- Isn’t much of a fighter but will if he has to
FORZEN-
- A Bounty Hunter who’s very good at his job
- Mightyena
- Moveset: Ice Fang, Take Down, Sucker Punch, Swagger
- Ability: Intimidate
- All moves can be learned by leveling up, the only character to have this
- Is a Bounty Hunter, meaning he specifically goes after Wanted Pokemon for a living
- Took up Bounty Hunting as it runs in the family. Is not close with his family anymore
- Very good at his job, one of the best trackers out there and very rarely doesn’t complete the job he takes
- Used to be aquatinted with Benrey though wouldn’t recognize his Totodile form
- Truthfully has no idea what happened to Benrey but one day, he disappeared and a huge bounty was placed on his head. Forzen took the job, no hard feelings but it was a lot of money, but was never able to find him, one of his few jobs
- Often visits a drink place called New Leaf, both for the delicious drinks and to talk to the Bayleef that runs it
- Recently took up a job to track down a Human Turned Pokemon. Has no idea what they’re wanted for but the bounty is too big to pass up- every Bounty Hunter he knows is taking it
JOSHUA-
- The Kid Who Tends To Inspire Those Around Him
- Sewaddle
- Moves: Tackle, String Shot, Bug Bite, Hidden Power
- Ability: Chlorophyll

- Is initially found by Benrey and sent to Tommy and Gordon, who takes him in and take care of him while they search for his family
- Benrey, Gordon, and Tommy all take on a parental role for him, though a lot of the people he meets tends to instantly shift into, “I would die for this kid” mode
- Thinks Exploration Teams are the coolest
- Greatly admires Team Sunrise, Team Wildfire, and Benrey, sometimes trying to imitate them
- A little easily frightened at first but his confidence gets built up once he’s taken in by Tommy and Gordon. Turns out to be pretty enthusiastic once he comes out of his shell
G-MAN-
- The Legendary
- Mewtwo
- Moves: ???
- Ability: Unnerve
- Has his own agenda but generally tries to help others and keeps the World’s balance in check
- Not much is known about him, least of all why he goes by ‘G-Man’ of all things. He keeps to himself
- Seems to watch over a certain Pikachu, sensing great things from him...
- Is very interested in finding out how a Human turns Pokémon
- Knows more than he says
SUNKIST-
- Ex-Explorer and Adoptive Mother of Tommy
- Arcanine
- Moves: Extreme Speed, Flare Blitz, Body Slam, Roar
- Ability: Flash Fire
- Full name is Sun Kissed but Sunkist is a shortening of it that she likes
- Is a retired Explorer and pretty highly respected and well known. Was apart of a Explorer Team known as Team Daylight
- Tommy was left at her doorstep a half a year after she retired. Sunkist worked to find his family, and when she couldn’t, raised him as her own
- While she’s a little out of practice, Sunkist is still very powerful
- Tough as nails but has a soft heart
- Can and would move mountains for Tommy
???-
- The Main Antagonist
- ???
- Moves: Psychic, Water Pulse, Blizzard, Drain Punch
- Ability: Own Tempo
- No status or defensive moves
- Highly powerful and has a bad vibe to her

some more hlvrai HCs so i can free up processing space in my brain:
as a kid gordon just did NOT get facial expressions. it seemed like everyone else instinctively knew what they mean, while he had to learn through close observation... which he eventually just gave up on, since he can mostly tell people’s feelings from their voices. as we can see in the show, this means that as far as he processes: people’s faces might as well be totally blank of emotions, their mouths the only thing that move.
similarly, he’s not great at facial recognition. dr. coomer picked up on that and makes sure he greets gordon the same way every time they see each other (”hello, gordon!”), so that gordon knows who he’s talking to quickly instead of having to play along until he gets some other clue.
my thoughts about coomer’s background are incomplete (his dream to work in waste disposal, the fact that his ex-wife had something to do with him stopping, that his limbs are bionic...), but despite the pain he’s gone through he’s a genuinely caring, loving person, the kind you’re lucky to meet once in a lifetime. before the cloning/splitting, he was also goddamn brilliant -- eliminating his copies brings him back to his previous level (far fewer “hello gordons!” as the series goes on)
bubby was made to be the perfect scientist, so i actually think that means his eyes are a bit bigger than most. they let him observe more and better, limiting the need for magnification/microscopes. the glasses don’t help him see, but they do give him an extra layer between himself and the rest of the world -- particularly because people always are like “your eyes are SO BEAUTIFUL,” which he finds annoying and embarrassing
bubby’s fire powers actually started bc the folks who made him were like, “well what if he needs to heat up some chemicals or something? let’s give him a very little bit of firepower.” led to the cruel nickname “bunsen burner” for a little bit. bubby hated being used and teased for things he had no control over and channeled his anger into turning this little scientific quirk into a dangerous ability. he pushed himself too hard at the start, often burning himself; it took coomer finding out and encouraging self-compassion for him to slow down and improve safely. took years to develop, but bubby’s extremely proud of it.
tommy is a LIAR. “this is all up to code!” “everything looks like a jpeg in real life [which this totally is!]” “benrey’s a valuable [normal] black mesa employee!” he LIES. it all comes from a place of anxious loyalty to his friends and family, but he is still the g-man’s son. he knows sometimes that when reality is at stake, the safest thing to do is hide how much you know.
darnold is just goddamned perfect. i have nothing to say about him except :)!
gordon is 5′11″ and 3/4 of an inch, which naturally he simplifies to an even 6′ when folks ask. when benrey finds out that he’s technically lying about his height he NEVER lets him live it down. “gordon freemanlet--” “BENREY I AM LIKE HALF A FOOT TALLER THAN YOU SHUT UP--”
gordon is so hot and has no fuckin clue. sure, people hit on him, but they never stick around (most neurotypicals just don’t get how to interact w him) and it’s not like he pays enough attention to notice that it happens to him more than other people. he figures he’s average-looking at best and never thinks about it beyond that.
on that note, here’s an excerpt from a draft about that very thing:
#half life but the ai is self aware#hlvrai#saint talks#SITS and writes these down so i can send EMAILS#i didn't come up w 'gordon freemanlet' but MAN i wish i had

i haven’t written anything for hlvrai yet but my brain churned out this for a reason bubby wants gordon dead? the writing is 100% fueled by my stress about finals rn but there’s a litle bit of boomer in there too if yall want it:
Coomer finds Bubby in the wreckage of one of the labs, leaning against an upturned desk and staring into nothing. He doesn’t say anything, just walks over to join him, hands brushing on the scratched, chemical-warped edge of the desk. It’s tradition, a silent agreement from way back when Bubby was fresh from the tube and Coomer hadn’t yet been cloned. Internship days, you might call it, if you can look past Black Mesa’s everything.
Bubby hums in acknowledgement. It’s late, late at night—there’s no sky down here, but Coomer can tell, if he squints at the right angle, that the skybox is dark. Gordon and Tommy are falling asleep in the break room, and Benrey’s fucked off somewhere else, probably to eat pigeons or something. It’s quiet, save for the sparking of the computers and the distant shrieks of aliens.
They rest together, pensive, processing. Bubby picks up humming again, unconsciously, and Coomer smiles, although he doesn’t dare comment. Bubby will deny it until he shuts down, but he knows better than anyone how to carry a tune.
Bubby is the one who breaks the silence.
“Do you think—are we going to get out of this? Is there an ending for us here, Coomer?”
“Always,” he answers automatically, but that’s not what Bubby’s looking for either. “Endings are easy, B, it’s whether we can carry on after them that matters. You know.”
Bubby scowls, his row of sharp, inhuman teeth catching the fluorescent light. Coomer blinks. That still catches him off guard. Bubby, in general, still catches him off guard. It’s something he likes.
Coomer looks up at him, covers his perpetually-cold hand with his own warm one. Bubby’s not shaking, he doesn’t do that, but he’s tense.
“We’re in new territory here. Our world is changing, we can all tell.”
“Well, Gordon-“
“Right, well, maybe not Gordon. The point is, it’s less predictable now, even for me. We don’t have the forever that we used to.”
Bubby winces at that.
In the old days, before the cascade, things were simple. They did their jobs, and they did them together, and Coomer could keep his sense of the simulation at bay. He could focus on Bubby, his confidence and dedication, a miracle of science. He was the pillar that anchored him to the world in Black Mesa, kept him from slipping towards the world outside it.
And Bubby, Bubby was drawn to Coomer, at first, for the opposite reason. For his strange intelligence, his sixth sense of the way the world worked, hard to notice, but Bubby was an observant man. And with time, and time was what they had the most of, Coomer’s warmth and understanding, his ability to validate and uplift without hesitation, were what made Bubby—loathe to admit it—fall in love. They had, according to Coomer, essentially forever for their science, as long as something—the man was too afraid to name it—didn’t happen.
So they did their jobs, and they talked, and sometimes they went to the break room and watched old movies and leaned on each other, and all in all, they were happy.
And then, one day, they ran a test. And Gordon put on the HEV suit. And Coomer was powerless to do anything but stand by. And Bubby, too absorbed in the science, the discovery, the possibilities their testing would lead to, to notice Coomer’s warnings, ran the test.
“He’s the catalyst for all this, isn’t he? He’s what you warned me about,” states Bubby flatly, back in the present. They’d never discussed it directly. Coomer sighs.
“Yes, it’s Gordon. I—Well, I knew it might happen eventually. I just wish I had been more prepared.” His eyes lose focus, tracing the pale sparks that burst from a shattered monitor across the room.
“Harold. What if I killed him?”
Bubby’s eyes are ice, suddenly, behind his glasses.
“Jesus, Bubby!” Coomer starts, bemused. “You just want to kill a man?”
The scowl, again. Annoyance. Coomer had always had the closest thing to morals between the two of them.
“We’ve all killed several men already, Dr. Coomer, and none of them were the one who ruined our lives. I could stop all this, the ‘critical path’ or whatever you want to call it, at least halt it. Because whatever path we’re on right now, Coomer, if it means abandoning my home I want out.“
His voice is a snapping hiss, his eyes wild and cold. Coomer has . . . well, he’s never seen him like this. He holds his hands up in a woah, hold up, gesture more than a surrender. He hopes.
“I don’t even know if it would work. That’s a hell of a lot to hang on a man’s life, Bubs, god damn.”
“Yes, it is. I want my life back, Harold. I want our lives. Do you?”
Bubby steps away from the table, retracting his hand. The broken equipment crackles behind him. He is unwavering, the silhouettes of his guns visible beneath the lab coat, his gaze piercing. It’s times like these when Coomer is reminded that out of all of them, Bubby is maybe the least human.
Coomer doesn’t say anything.
Bubby leaves the wrecked lab, walking back to where the others are sleeping. Coomer watches him leave, and braces himself for when Gordon finally falls asleep. He hopes, for both Gordon and Bubby’s sakes, that Bubby doesn’t feel what he does as he is destroyed and rebuilt, again and again and again.

Good Jokes
Chapter 2
The Resonance Cascade hurt. Tommy felt the dimensional rift tear open space as if it were a hole punching through his own body. Even with his limited power there was no way he could have stopped something so catastrophic from happening. By the time the convulsions died down, the monsters had already hopped the gap.
Black Mesa was buckled and warped like a Coke can left in a freezer. Tommy wound up somewhere further away from the blast than he anticipated and had to pick his way through the wasted hallways to get back to the explosion site. What a mess. He passed the bodies of humans and extraterrestrials alike, fighting down a growing sense of nausea as he went. Did Benrey do this? It seemed like a stretch, even for him.
Tommy eventually found Gordon, alive and relatively unharmed, and learned that Gordon had picked up three others on his way out of the test chamber. Benrey was unkillable, as was his nature, so that presence didn’t surprise Tommy. Dr. Coomer was always tough, and it stood to reason that he could survive the blast from an interdimensional anomaly. Bubby, well. He wasn’t dead anymore, was all Tommy knew.
Now, they were trucking through the test facility at a steady clip, picking off creatures as they went. Tommy wasn’t armed - he didn’t need to be - but Gordon was making decent headway with a crowbar and Bubby had… located a revolver somehow. Tommy had questions about Bubby. For now, however, he was hanging in the back of the group, keeping one eye on Benrey, because Benrey was always up to something, and one eye on Gordon, because, well, just look at him.
The elevator crash had shoved him off a cliff he was never climbing back up from. That was a hard thing for Tommy to watch; aside from witnessing the death of three strangers, he also had to see something small and fragile snap inside Gordon, like the breaking of a flower stem. He hadn’t killed those people, not really, but he believed that he did, and that was somehow worse. Tommy didn’t say anything. He didn’t know how to tell Gordon that a lot more people would die before this was over.
To make things worse, the company they kept was slowly chipping away at Gordon’s sanity. Bubby was insufferable. Coomer was unhelpful. Benrey was… flirting with him. Indistinguishable from harassment, which Tommy knew from firsthand experience. The new guy needed someone in his corner. It may as well be Tommy.
Gordon was at least adjusting relatively well to the supernatural. He had gotten over the idea of aliens invading pretty quickly, and when Bubby had outright told him he was born in a tube in the lab, Gordon took it in stride. That was right before he had clapped a heavy hand on Tommy’s shoulder, sending a shiver all the way through his body.
Wow, that was nice. Been a long time since Tommy felt something like that. He almost forgot to be offended when Gordon jokingly said that he was five. “We love our little Tommy,” Bubby had commented sarcastically. “We love Tommy,” Gordon had agreed genuinely.
Tommy didn’t know what to think about that, his brain glitching out in a pleasant sort of way with Gordon’s hand still on his shoulder. Then he let go and they kept moving, leaving Tommy just standing there, pulse on the uptick.
Get it together, man. You have an apocalypse to deal with.
A brief raid of the break room brought back memories of that morning. Was it really just that morning? The past few hours had felt like days. There wasn’t a lot to be found in there except the drinks from the vending machine. Tommy hung back while his colleagues pawed through the drawers and cabinets.
Gordon glanced at the bulletin board and over to Tommy, flashing a smile of acknowledgement. Tommy returned it with a wordless raise of his eyebrows. So he still had a sense of humor in this nightmare. That was a good sign.
The eye contact between them lingered for far longer than was appropriate. Take a picture, baby, it’ll last longer, was what Tommy’s brain said. “Grab a soda, it’ll help you see faster,” was what came out of his stupid mouth. Nice one, genius.
The laugh Gordon barked out seemed to surprise him. It was tight with stress, but his smile was lovely as ever.
“I don’t know what that means,” he chuckled, hefting the crowbar in his hand, “but sure.”
He really didn’t know what the hell Tommy was talking about and he still laughed at the bullshit he blurted when his brain stopped working. Tommy smiled and shook his head. He was definitely keeping this one.
The vending machine was cracked open like a walnut and they continued on their way.
It became an unspoken game between the two of them. Who could break the other out of reality, startle them into joy at the end of the world. Tommy won points the most often - Gordon wore his emotions on his face and he was already so strung out from stress that the barest attempts at levity set him off laughing. Occasionally, though, Gordon caught Tommy off guard with his wit. His jokes were more orchestrated. Grandiose. Special presents just for Tommy.
One such occasion was after they’d broken into the locker room. After addressing the corpse by the benches, Gordon began rifling through his locker for his passport in a vain attempt to placate Benrey. Tommy watched him carefully as he entered such an enclosed space with the entity. Just in case he tried something. Gordon found his passport, but his attention snagged on a solitary picture frame in the corner.
“That’s my baby,” Gordon informed the team.
He had a baby? Tommy studied the photo with interest. He didn’t strike Tommy as a fatherly person, and the fact that he had a child complicated whether or not he was single. Of course, that wasn’t an automatic disqualifier -
“I have a son,” Gordon insisted, with emphasis.
Tommy belatedly realized that Gordon was staring straight at him as he pointed at the photo. He blinked. Okay, man. He got the hint. Gordon wasn’t on the market - wait.
That was a stock photo. He could see the watermark stamped across the image. Gordon’s stare was still locked onto Tommy, a barely contained smile crinkling the corners of his eyes.
“That’s Joshua,” he said.
Tommy had to duck into the adjacent room to laugh.
Damn, he was good. Tommy leaned one hand on the wall, holding the other against his ribs in a fit of giggles. Why did Gordon have that in there? Just for kicks? He distantly heard an oblivious compliment Dr. Coomer launched in Gordon’s direction and a caustic insult from Benrey.
“What did you say about my boy?” Gordon demanded in mock outrage. “Did you call him shit?”
Tommy sagged against the wall, catching his breath. It took him a couple seconds to recover from that one. What a knockout.
---
It turns out Gordon Freeman’s sense of humor is difficult to nail when one is enduring an extraterrestrial apocalypse. Shambling forms accosted them on all sides, and while the party was able to more or less hold their own, the tension in the air was palpable. Each member of the team was paranoid for their own reasons, making their words sharper, their actions heavier.
Benrey had disappeared shortly after after the explosion in the bathroom, and Tommy could see him flickering on the edges of his vision every once in a while. Creep. He’d turn up eventually, on his own terms. Tommy had learned by now that there was no making the entity do what he didn’t want to do, but his presence nearby still made his skin crawl.
Dr. Coomer was on edge as he came face to face with his doppelgangers throughout the maze of carnage. Tommy had put together that this man was either a clone or a base for one, and it was becoming increasingly apparent as his speech grew more and more incomprehensible. Gordon thought he was having a stroke once. It was probably more accurate to say that he was having a breakdown on the DNA level.
Gordon and Bubby were the only two who seemed legitimately concerned about the aliens that were steadily pouring into the facility. Bubby was a surprisingly excellent shot with the revolver, and while Gordon wasn’t exactly a deadeye, he could at least swing that crowbar around with a decent amount of wallop. The adrenaline was running hot through all of them as they lay waste to the creatures in the facility. This was dangerous, and everyone was on edge.
As the situation grew bleaker, Tommy found himself cracking jokes reflexively, just as a nervous tic. He was used to having a pretty good grasp on reality - or, at least, on his definition of it - but the Resonance Cascade had dropped him in an inkwell and he could no longer tell which way was up. What parts of the impossible were planned? What parts of it could be stopped?
Most of his jokes were ignored by his nervous teammates. Understandable. When he dramatically bemoaned the loss of his tic tac drawer and the crucial calories they contained, he wasn’t even sure if he was being serious or not. They had seen so many people die in such a short amount of time. Watching the group’s brittle humanity crumbling apart at the loss of life was not making it any easier.
When the four of them witnessed a stranger plummet from a precarious catwalk to the void below, Gordon stood there, staring at the place he had disappeared from, for quite a long time. Tommy hung back as he always did, leaning his shoulder on the doorway. This poor mortal with a too-big heart. He was not going to be the same if he made it out of this ordeal alive.
“How deep is that hole?” he finally asked, either to find a sliver of hope that the man was still alive or some comfort that he had died quickly. “How deep is that hole?”
Beside him, Bubby folded his arms and blew out a breath. “Uh, I believe this hole has to be about five hundred feet deep,” he guessed.
Gordon’s face went worryingly blank as he processed this. Tommy watched him, feeling a twinge of sympathy tug at his stomach. There was no solace to be found in the catastrophe tearing through the facility, especially when the facility itself was grown from such rotten roots. Things were about to get far worse before they got better.
“We’re trying to dig to the center of the earth,” he told him wryly.
Gordon’s responding laugh was heartbreakingly sour.
They moved on, and Tommy was about to follow the group when Benrey materialized beside him. He only came up to Tommy’s shoulder where he stood next to him, but he still managed to pull off an intimidating leer.
“Dude, quit hitting on the new guy,” he said thinly. “You’re embarrassing yourself.”
Tommy paused. Slanted Benrey a stare that could cut glass. “Maybe you should take your own advice,” he muttered.
“I’m not hitting on him,” the entity shot back. “I can’t stand him.”
Tommy narrowed his eyes. Sure.
“It’s not my fault he showed me his dick,” Benrey went on, crossing his arms. His voice was like a razor, and it set Tommy’s teeth on edge.
He drew in a long, slow breath through his nose. “Why,” he asked, “would you tell me that.”
Benrey grinned, sharklike, and shrugged innocently. “Just something to think about.”
He blinked out of existence, leaving Tommy there alone to frown at nothing. He scoffed. Asshole. No tact whatsoever.
The fact that the entity had his eye on Gordon, too, made him uneasy. Not enough that Tommy felt the need to interfere - anyone with half a brain cell would know not to trust Benrey and Tommy was certain that Gordon had at least two. But he could see him slowly chipping away at the new guy’s sanity, piece by teeth-grinding piece.
The being had no appreciation for subtlety; winking in and out of this plane, killing indiscriminately, parading around like an interdimensional peacock. Tommy watched it all with a growing sense of disdain. That kind of power was not something to be fucked around with, and that was all Benrey ever did.
Tommy and Benrey’s relationship was like a careful dance in a room full of knives, each step a decision that could help or hurt both of them. They shared a supernatural origin, but their similarities ended there. Tommy didn’t trust him one iota, and Benrey vacillated rapidly between being obsessed with Tommy and outright despising him.
He had to remind himself that while the entity rarely outright lied, his words were often so ridiculously, insufferably cryptic that he might as well have been dishonest. The piece of information he had just dropped could mean anything, deposited in such a way to needle against Tommy’s skin like sandpaper. This was how Benrey worked, feeding people bullshit just to get them riled. Tommy didn’t need to retaliate. Unlike Benrey, he was raised with some fucking manners.
He had no power over him as long as he didn’t let it get to him.
He wasn’t going to let it get to him.
Oh, who was he kidding? It got to him. Tommy made a mental note to let an industrial door slide shut on Benrey the next chance he got. What was it going to do, kill him?

Dustverse Fics
Some of my personal favorites from the Danger Days universe. All of these stories are completed, but there are plenty more incredible stories that are still WIPs.
Insect King: incredible origin story for two of the dusters characters, Tommy Chow Mein and Dr. Death Defying.
I Believe We’re The Enemy: You know what?" Frank snaps, glaring at the person who used to be Party Poison. "You know, sometimes I wish they'd just killed you instead.
Sing It For The N00bs: Gerard would be killing twice as many dracs right now if his fucking spacebar would quit sticking. (Gamer AU, wherein the Danger Days universe is an MMORPG.)
The Science of Sleep: This is... not exactly a killjoy fic, but at the same time, it is. I don’t remember much of it, but it is very well known. “It’s 2011 and Frank Iero’s life is pretty average until the night where he starts getting dreams about a strange, apocalyptic California where there’s rayguns, grey corporations and terrorists who use art and colour as a weapon. Interesting and fun at first, but the more he dreams about this world, the more he starts to wonder if it really is a dream... and the deeper he gets into this futuristic world, the more it seems to affect his life in the present day.”
Hold You Heart Into This Darkness: A three part collection exploring the canon events of the Killjoy music videos.
Haircare Tips for Zonnerunners & Let Your Hair Down, Diesel Doll: Two oneshots about Killjoys and their relationship with hair.
The Sane Abandoned Me: A very interesting take on ‘storytelling’, short and sweet.
These Kids Are A Disgrace: Exterminator!Gerard fic.
Angels From The Neon: An origin fic of sorts.
Transcript: Dr Death Defying Archive Tape N° 09, Dated August 22, 2019: an interview.
Masks: masks origin story.
Desert Heat: Disclaimer! I only read the first fic - Frank Iero has spent the majority of his life in and under Battery City. When he meets the notorious gang of outlaws that call themselves "The Fabulous Killjoys", his life is turned on its head. But much like Frank, the Killjoys are not what they seem. Through the roaring roads of the desert, and the winding tunnels of underground life that eat at the base of Battery City, Frank (Fun Ghoul), Ray (Jet Star), Grace, Mikey (Kobra Kid), and Gerard (Party Poison) find that they have a place, nestled out in the zones, that they can call home. When their way of life is threatened by Battery City's government, the Better Living Industries, the Fabulous Killjoys put everything they have on the line to protect the place they have fought so hard to call their own.
The Heart You Need: On my to-read list; ...if the Killjoys were telepathic space pirates.
Incredible WIPs:
Deathwish 500: absolutely INCREDIBLE world building - set in a futuristic cyberpunk city after the fall of the Fabulous Killjoys and Helium Wars leaves the earth uninhabitable. Levitating 'zones' of cities exist, each with 5 levels. The higher your level, the more money you have. And then, there's Frank. Frank has a sort of unhealthy obsession with bot fighting...
Subject Zero Zero: Battery City 2115: As a last-ditch effort to find him, or whatever may be left of him, Gerard has attempted to clone his long-lost domestic partner, Frank, and the results are near-perfect. Subject Zero Zero has one mission: Find out what happened to Gerard's runaway rebel of a boyfriend before Better Living Industries takes everything.

I was looking on my phone and found some notes and a theory for Jimmy Casket. I just want to warn that this is a few years old and does not consider any of the more recent P.I.E. videos.
《Anything that looks like this is new and added now as I Re-Read it》
So without further ado, I present a 2 year old theory and notes:
Dipper mod 1- March 9th 2016
Haunted by cardboard friend- Johnny Ghost gets some of Gregory/Jimmy' s flash backs like remembering the cardboard friend name and this confuses Ghost as he tries to connect the links in his brain.
CBF Theory: CBF is a manipulative entity that attacks and feeds off of the weak (This is proved by CBF attacking Ghost without his partner Toast and when he attacked Gregory because he had no one to interact with and caused them both to go crazy)
[Crossed Out] Babby doll hide and seek (gregory) Sep, 26 2013
[Crossed Out] Murder ep 1- Jan, 12 2012
[Crossed Out] Box friend original- Sep, 15 2013
《I think I was going to do a theory that dealt with the dates but Idk.》
Jimmy Casket Theory/Notes:
1. Tommy/Timothy Casket is Jimmy' s father and not Ghost's.
2. Jimmy Casket likes to win whether it's murder, hide and seek, find it so I can eat it, TTT, or just killing someone.
3. I believe that paranormal entities detect Jimmy Casket/Gregory instead of Johnny Ghost.
4. He is ticked off by not winning, blood, being away from Toast for along time, when Ghost is confused/scared of something, annoyed by people, doesn't get what he wants.
--‐----------------------------------------
In Gmod murder siblings 11 "Olaf" at 14:05 Jimmy Casket states that his name is Gregory
In KING BONNIE (Gmod castle mod) at 7:49 Ghost said that he grew up on a farm
[Crossed Out] January 8th 2014 "Johnny Ghost" Gmod 4 player prop hunt 27 Ghost and Toast first appearance
《Time for the Big Theory》
Jimmy Casket the world's most renowned murderer. To solve the theory of who is Jimmy Casket? And what is his backstory? We need to go over a few things first. The 1st thing we need to go over before we start talking about Jimmy Casket is how life and death works in the Gmod/VenturianTale world. Clearly life and death in the Gmod world is not normal like it is here in reality. We live and we die, that's how it is and that's how it will always be. But we can still explain why people come back from the dead. I believe the reason people can come back from the dead is Maxwell Acachalla. Now how does Maxwell have any thing to do with Jimmy Casket? You may ask well, I'm getting there. Let me explain why I think Maxwell has to do with people coming back from the dead first. In a bank robbery with Papa Acachalla and the gang, Maxwell was killed by the Bank Teller after they figured out they were trying to steal money. When Maxwell died he met with an evil and VERY powerful entity. Who this entity is? I don't know. It could be someone we haven't met yet, or will ever meet. It could be Satan himself. Or it could be someone we've seen before, but never suspected them to be evil.
Back to what I was saying, when Maxwell encountered the entity he was offered great power as a ghost and since Maxwell was power driven he accepted the gift. When the Acachalla household encountered Maxwell again there was a curse that made them become immortal, Maxwell didn't mind because he wanted to enternally tourture the Acachallas and especially Papa and his gang as revenge for his death. When Maxwell was starting to get out of hand the Acachallas called P.I.E. aka Johnny Ghost and Johnny Toast to get rid of him. When Ghost and Toast encountered Maxwell they were "killed" by him and that caused Ghost and Toast to come back from the dead.
Now, some people in the universe are also not 100% normal, for example Maloney is an alien and some people have special powers which I think is the reason Spooker and Mr. Sviggles can come back from the dead. Now that we have gone over the reason why I think some people come back from the dead, we can discuss the fact that some people aren't immortal and once they die they die. Some examples of this is John, M9KShotgun, and the ginger kid from "FNAF School Roleplay - Gmod Five Nights at Freddy's Animatronics mod (Garry's Mod)", other small one time characters, and Higgly Diggly Hoogen, yes before you start saying "But even if he gets killed he still keeps coming back" and you're kinda right, BUT he doesn't come back from the dead, one of his many other clones are sent. And the government will never run out as long as they keep cloning him. And you're still probably wondering what this all has to do with Jimmy Casket well I'm about to tell you how.
Remember that video "Gmod Cardboard Friend Mod" where Gregory was hanging out with Cardboard Friend and it slowly turned into a horror movie type scenario? Yeah? Well this is a big part of lore we need in order to solve the mystery of Jimmy Casket. Let's talk about what we know about Gregory and CBF then we'll go into what I think happened. We know that Gregory is a young easily manipulated boy that has gone through a lot. He lost his parents at an early age, he's been alone in a really creepy, old house and his only source or communication is CBF which is a ghost. Now let's get into the theories, I believe CBF is an evil, manipulative entity that is up to no good, and only wants to traumatize and kill people (and possibly take their souls). CBF's target was Gregory, CBF planned to slowly steal his soul by making him go mad, and it worked. In the video when CBF was chasing Gregory around the house it symbolized him killing Gregory, and when Gregory was sending CBF into the sky was him accepting the fact that he was dead, and finally Gregory walking out of the yard was him moving on into the afterlife. Now this is when things start to tie together, because when Gregory died he was faced with the same evil entity that gifted Maxwell great power. The entity offered Gregory something unbelievable.
BUT, before I say what the entity gifted Gregory I want to explain why he decided to gift Gregory and not some other random person. Think, this video was probably a flashback of Gregory's life which was in like the 1980s when technology was not at its peak and paranormal invenvestigating sounded pretty crazy, so there weren't many paranormal investigators. Therefore there was no hard cold proof that paranormal entities can kill people EXPECT for the "Bell Witch Haunting" which states that a poltergeist physically killed (in this case poisoned) John Bell in the 19th Centary. So death by paranormal entity was pretty rare. This caused the evil entity to bestow a gift upon Gregory, a boy that died by a paranormal entity at a young age.
Back to what the entity offered Gregory, the entity gave Gregory the chance to rule over personalities. So we're all correct when we say that Gregory is Jimmy Casket, but this goes a lot deeper than imagined...
Gregory is that insane, evil, devious side of you and your OC's when you/they lose at something, is scared, threatened, or confused. And Jimmy Casket is just one of his characters with their own backstory and a little bit of Gregory in it. Gregory is Samantha gravestone, Max Hunter, Melodie Casket, Amy Reaper, Ethan Dager, Karl Coffin, 《These are all people's "insane" OC's I looked up when originally making this》 Gavin Toast, he is even Antisepticeye and Darkiplier.
I also quickly want to mention that this personality can spread into our world too so to explain to you what I mean I'll tell you about the time I was scrolling through the comments of a story I found on WattPad and the users were talking about how they would sometimes feel the urge to stab, trip, or harm/kill people, like Jimmy Casket does, and that made it clear that the feelings they feel becomes a personality. Another thing to notice is how Jordan changes from the fun, energetic, and goofy person he is to an insane, psycopath...even his eyes change. That's right the addicting, fun, evil personality we all love to use today are one of Gregory's OCs .
And now, here we are nearing the end of the theory but there are still some things up in the air that we need to be solve before we go, Questions like Why is Ghost unaware of Jimmy Casket? And why does he act so strange around CBF? Well...I'm gonna solve these questions right now, Let's first start with why Ghost is unaware of Jimmy's existence. This simply deals with how powerful one's soul is. Johnny Ghost has been through a lot of stuff...too much stuff, this has caused his soul to weaken and decay. Since he has a weak soul Gregory's OC, Jimmy Casket had extra room to grow and fill so he added more of his own backstory in there too, in order to have a balance. This caused Ghost's childhood to get mixed up with the other backstories and whenever Jimmy/Gregory takes control it's over whelming and causes Ghost to black out. How I know this deals with how powerful one's soul is and not something else is shown in "Dipper Mod 1" when dipper's evil persona left his body and tried to stab him with an eraser. Dipper seemed to not care or worry about it and in "Dipper Mod 2" Dipper's evil clone was hanging around the store and Dipper was not worried or scared at all, he may have been a bit annoyed but that's all. That showed that Dipper has a strong soul and is very aware of his evil side the side Gregory controls.
And now to finally explain why Ghost acts the way he does around CBF. Johnny Ghost is a Paranormal Investigator which means he investigates paranormal entities wether it be a level 2 apparition or a demon he tries to get rid of it, and CBF is no exception. The powerful and smart entities notice Gregory and not Ghost so when Ghost runs into CBF Gregory starts to freak out because he is aware that CBF is his killer and CBF knows that Gregory is there and wants to traumatize him even further. Gregory acts as Jimmy Casket and not himself because he wants to try to stand up for himself in a more powerful and safer form. And if any other OC were to come face to face with CBF they would have the same reaction because they are all the same person, Gregory. So this solves the mystery of Jimmy Casket, He's just another one of Gregory's made up personalities that Gregory hides behind. And Gregory is just an unfortunate soul that was chosen to die by the hands of a ghost, which caused him to become the evil, mischievous side of everyone.

That's it! That's a theory that I wrote about 2 years ago and never did anything with.
I used to love Venturiantale and finding this and looking back to a few of their videos was a blast to the past. It was definitely one of the better fandoms I was in when was younger and I still don't regret it one bit.

Nothing Ever Lasts Forever
Silly bands from wrist to elbow. An abusive father. Diving headfirst down the metal slide. A boarding school with strange practices and dark secrets. Cloud-watching in a neighbor’s backyard. An endless palette of primary colors. The variety of upbringings stretches beyond shades of red, blue, and yellow - but do they all have the same lasting effect on a person? What makes this period in our lives so unique? How do we let go? Is it possible to let go at all?
Childhood - whether it deeply scars us or acts as a catalyst for future explorations - is an inescapable, irreversible component of our history that has an undoubted influence on who we become.
In Never Let Me Go, Kathy, Ruth, and Tommy grew up together at Hailsham, a peaceful boarding school in the English countryside (as far as they knew at the time). For the students at Hailsham, all they ever had was one another. They were one another’s first bullies, friends, best friends, enemies, significant others, and family. They developed their own traditions and wrote their own unspoken rules.
Even after moving away, their unbreakable ties to Hailsham remained. Kathy describes, “Because somewhere underneath, a part of us stayed like that: fearful of the world around us, and - no matter how much we despised ourselves for it - unable quite to let each other go,” (Ishiguro 120). It is human nature to seek comfort and familiarity with the people and settings of our past. However, at a certain point, this desire threatens to morph into obsession - the very shackles and chains that hold us back from living for the present and future.
Kathy reached that point.
Her childhood was confined to the same building and the same people, and she was never taught to live without them. She moved through her adult job as a mere vessel for her memories, longing for a time when the world felt pure and perfect at Hailsham.
It was never really pure and perfect though, was it?
Behind every warm-hearted, innocent upbringing is the art of deception. Kathy, Ruth, and Tommy will never browse small shops in Norfolk again as boarding school friends on a trip. No amount of affection and comfort their caretakers provided for them could change the fact that they are clones destined to donate all their organs to medicine.
I think it is more difficult to have our conception of belonging and home suddenly taken away from us than to grow in its absence. That’s likely true for a variety of situations in life, because of how agonizing and lingering loss is in general. Unfortunately for us, loss is one of the universal, defining characteristics of childhood. What’s even more frustrating is that people don’t realize how sacred these “lost” moments are until they are years in the past and nearly untouchable - and that makes it all the more difficult to let go.
This is Tommy’s death scene from the movie, in which Kathy is coming to terms with what she has lost:

On a slightly less depressing note, Never Let Me Go highlights the unmatched strength and impact of childhood friendships. Maybe they weren’t even the most compassionate people. Ruth, Kathy’s best friend, was quite annoying, attention-seeking, and selfish. However Ruth was associated with most of Kathy’s happiest memories; she told her all her treasured secrets, speculations about the future, and deepest worries. Even if it’s bittersweet, she will always have a special place in Kathy’s heart. These early bonds are our first encounters with trust, empathy, loyalty, and dependability beyond family members.
Thus, it’s difficult to blame Kathy for trying so hard to cling to her childhood friends and being unable to move on.
Here are a few lyrics from “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears For Fears, perfectly describing what it’s like to grow up knowing your bliss is temporary (1:20-1:30):
What if there was no peace or innocence, to begin with? It is often the most difficult upbringing that alters character and perspectives drastically, as seen in the novel, Purple Hibiscus. Two siblings, Jaja and Kambili, were raised in the oppressive household of a religious zealot. Their father forced them to follow an hour-by-hour schedule every day, display intense devotion to faith, and excel academically. If he felt any one of these areas was lackluster, he would physically and emotionally abuse them.
However, all it took was a taste of freedom and self-expression to initiate a movement of rebellion and independence. Jaja and Kambili didn’t let a childhood filled with darkness control them. Rather - the moment they were given the opportunity - they strived to broaden their horizons and develop their own opinions on the world around them, refusing to constantly hide under the fear of their father’s wraith. Jaja even found the strength to give up his Catholic faith, despite it having been forcefully ingrained into his belief system.
They became unrecognizable to their past selves: confident, curious, and willing to express their emotions. Contrary to popular belief, a traumatic childhood doesn’t always render someone unable to recover from that experience (although it certainly can). If anything, in this case, the seemingly inescapable tyranny increased their desire for freedom.
Like fingerprints, childhood is entirely unique from person to person. Even siblings - raised in the same environment from birth - internalize their shared experiences differently. However, one aspect remains constant.
When we begin seeing condensed water vapor instead of fluffy wisps of white cotton candy in the sky, our childhood gains the power to haunt our daily lives or (better option) provide us the inspiration to move forward.
