New Look on Patreon
Hello, all! I'd like to thank you for your patience these last few months, as my personal life has been a bit more hectic than I'd like.
As you may have noticed, I have gotten a new profile and banner image, courtesy of my friend @darlighl. If you like that style, they are taking commissions! They are my favorite artist to work with, and I'm delighted to have their artwork representing me and my work on this platform.
I will be sharing the promised Arts section of ASPIRE this month, and will hopefully be back on our regular schedule going forward.
Thank you for your continued support!

Alex and Geddy with the Stanley Cup. It was during Rush's "Clockwork Angels" era.
I wonder what they drank out of it? What would you drink out of it?

The new-ish (to me) song by Rush "Clockwork Angles" has been really growing on me. I didn't like it at first, but I think I see what it's getting at a little more.
It seems to be a song about how technology & mathematics, analysis have a kind of halo effect for some of us even if we know better.
Rush get tagged as "that objectivist band" but if that were true I don't think they could have ever made much interesting music.
There are currents of doubt.

Eddie by RHCP is INCREDIBLE and sounds like rock is dying while you watch and has the same goodbye song energy as Rush's The Garden. It's a cathedral-in-an-inferno of a song. That's all.

While I feel like The Anarchist + The Wreckers + The Garden are the best songs on the album, Caravan does go incredibly hard
