We offer avocado toast but there’s no toast it’s on a bagel because why would we have regular bread at a bagel place?

Lady orders avocado toast.

Coworker asks what type of bagel she’d like.

Lady orders avocado toast but doesn’t want the bagel.

My coworker explains that the bagel is the toast. What kind of bagel would you like?

Lady doesn’t want the bagel, she just wants avocado toast.

Coworker explains there is no toast the toast is the bagel…toasted

u and i understand each otherrrr 🤭 like don't me wrong choso is like no.1 sweet loverboy to me but when i write him, i love him being a littleeee more bitchy and hardened up. like hes also the same guy who was sending blood bullets thru peoples heads in shibuya, and he didnt hesitate to jump yuuji on the train platform 😭 and i didnt think it much sense to have him be immediately sweet/blushy towards reader because hes so protective/defensive abt his family, and i would see him being more prideful and private -> aka his battle of wills/pride/resentment towards sukuna etc etc and he definitely has a spine 😭 idk where this fandom idea that hes, like u said, wimpy came about 😟

and glad u loved the gojo part too! i had so much fun writing him, and i wanted to write a genuinely platonic, sweet friendship with the reader where u can see hints of his own arrogance/wealthy upbringing alongside reader (there was a lot of gossip girl influence) but hes genuinely a kind person to those that he cares abt

I really do want to post more but it’s really difficult to fully put most of what my brain has to offer into words, but oh do I try!

Anyway I love foreshadowing, it’s great! I also love it when characters match/contrast, it’s also great! So here’s that.

Not a lot of people really point out the heavy resemblance between Akane and Mirai, (or they do and I don’t notice) and it just makes me wonder!

Does she purposefully copy his appearance? Her middle part, “tea colored hair”, and eyes are all very on the nose similarities. Her eyes are specifically really interesting, they have the same two-toned thing Akane has, and I feel like that has to be on purpose.

Something to think about in conjunction with that is does Kako also resemble Akane? (but like an old man) Unlike Mirai, Kako hasn’t been shown with his hood down, so wether or not he has that fuckass middle part is up for debate. Though I think it probably would make sense if all the keepers looked the same, y’know to represent the passage of time in a totally not obvious way, it’s just cool, y’dig?

Also another thing. Akane’s wristwatch could’ve probably been to foreshadow both the Clock-Keeper arc and him being a keeper himself. Or I’m reaching and completely insane but like hear me out.

Wristwatch…pocket watch…get it??? Ok so I like don’t have any proof of this other than the fact that it exists and existed before the Clock-Keeper arc, but it totally feels intentional. Akane’s character directly pulls from two other AidaIro works, (dear my living dead and Money, Maidens, Love, And innocence) but his inclusion in specifically DMLD shows that he already has a connection to the undead, and thusly a connection to the undead in Tbhk. In the pilot the Clock-Keepers already existed, so assuming Akane was always supposed to be one isn’t an insane thought, and having him be the only major side-character to have one can be a fun lil reference to the plot point coming later. But what do I know I’m not a scientist.
