Master List of The Adventure of Y/N Barton and Yelena Belova
Summary: You and your father finally sit down to have a much needed talk and he answers a question that has been haunting you: Why did he become the Ronin? With his answer will you be able to move on?
Warning: mention of the Ronin, fluff
Word count: 2.3k
You sat on the step of your family home with lemonade in your hands. It was a beautiful day. You, Kate, and Yelena made a trip to Iowa. Your parents wanted to get to know America, who was doing a great job dealing with Nathaniel. “She seems to be fitting in nicely,” Clint said, sitting next to you. You were watching Kate, Yelena, and America play soccer with your siblings. The dogs were laying on the grass with their tongues out. You smiled.
“Yeah,” you said. “She’s a good fit for the group.” She was. You liked pulling pranks on Peter with her and Yelena when you went to the tower. Clint smiled.
“You’ve grown up into a remarkable young lady,” The switch in conversation gave you whiplash. You looked at your dad but he was staring straight ahead. “And I know your mother and I didn’t make it easy for you.”
“You did what you thought would keep me the safest.” He shook his head.
“What we did was put a leash on your neck and pull you back when you got too far away,” You chuckled, looking down at your hands. “I’m surprised you didn’t grow up to resent us.”
“I did,” you admitted. “For the longest time I hate you and mom and this house,” You looked up as you heard Lila laughing. Yelena had her arms wrapped around her waist to keep her away from the ball. You smiled at the sight. “It’s why I fought so hard to go to college in California or for that trip,” Clint sighed, leaning back with his arms crossed.
“I remember when you were born and you never slept through midnight to the morning,” he glanced at you. “You drove your mother and me insane. Before I knew you were walking and trying to free your fingers from my hand because you could do it on your own. I just wanted it to slow down,” you watched him as he looked at your siblings' play. It was now or never, the burning question was on your lips.
“Dad,” he hummed, looking back at you. “Why did you become the Ronin?” You asked. He didn’t answer. “I know you said it wasn’t because of me and that’s fine I just want the truth.” He sighed.
“It wasn’t you just my thoughts pushing unrealistic ideas onto you,” you gave him a confused look. “Let me explain,” he laughed. “You look so much like your mother, not just in looks but also in spirit and personality,” he looked up at the sky. “That entire ride to the compound, I debated turning around back to bring us back here. But every time I looked at you I saw your mother, not just her but Cooper, Lila, and Nate, and I failed to protect them.” Your gaze softened as you looked at him.
“Dad, you couldn’t have stopped Thanos,” he shrugged.
“Maybe if I didn’t retire and was there to help. I could have been another guard for Vision or fighting against the army. But I wasn’t there. So I became the Ronin to even the scale,” your heart ached at the mention of the android. You missed him. “It wasn’t fair that our family was taken from us but so many people stayed that were doing horrible things,” he shook his head and looked at the ground. “I was justifying my actions because I was doing something good. But soon I became something else, something darker. I was down such a rabbit hole that I figured you would be better with Natasha,” he finally looked at you again. “I’m so sorry.” You had to look away from him, the intensity of his explanation and his apology was extreme. It was breaking through the wall you put up. But you believed him. This ‘I’m sorry’ felt different than the one he gave you when he returned from Vormir.
“I didn’t think I’d ever see you again,” you whispered. “1 week turned into a month, a month turned into 3, then a year, and then 5,” you glanced at him. “You may have been disappointed in the man you became but I just wanted you,” you laughed. “For the first time in my adult life, I just wanted my dad and he wasn’t there.”
“Probably the first time in your life,” he joked, which made you laugh. “I remember every missing tooth, and every bedtime story, and how you’d crawl into our bed on Sunday morning to sleep in,” he took your hand in his. “I wasn’t there for you, squirt, and I’m so sorry.” You smiled.
“I waited so long for you to say that to me,” you let go of your hand. “I want to forgive you and move on but -”
“It’s okay if you can’t. I’m not expecting forgiveness,” he smiled. “I just hope you know I’m your biggest fan and I love you.” You smiled.
“I love you too.”
“Y/n,” Nathaniel called out. “We need your help!” You laughed, looking at Clint.
“Go, we can talk more later,” you smiled, hugging him, and ran to join the game.
*
Clint watched his oldest run to the makeshift soccer field and grab Yelena by the waist. The Black Widow fought against your hold as her laughter echoed. Clint couldn’t believe this was his life. He remembered telling him that she was pregnant. It terrified him, excited him, and he vowed to love that little girl with all he had. He knew they were going to have a girl. Laura on the other hand wanted a boy. It seemed like yesterday when they discovered your ability. You were scared by a thunderstorm that was shaking the house. Clint entered your room when he heard your cries but instead of finding his daughter, a small kitten was in your crib. The fear of someone taking you and using you because of your abilities paralyzed him, and it led to some questionable decisions as parents.
He heard the wood creak as Laura walked out of the house. She sat down next to him with a sigh. “How did your talk with her go?” She asked. Clint smiled, taking his wife’s hand in his.
“Good, there are still things I need to say to her but it's a start,” they heard your laughter as you scored against Kate and did a victory lab. You fell to the ground as Nate jumped on your chest. Clint smiled. All of his kids were together; safe and happy. “Sometimes I wish all this would slow down,” he admitted. Laura smiled, resting her head on his shoulder.
“Yeah,” she said. “But let’s enjoy the time we have with them.” Clint kissed the top of Laura’s head. Yelena was sitting behind you, your back against her front with Nate sitting in your lap. You were making your youngest sibling laugh as you tickled his sides. The archer smiled. There was work that still needed to be done to repair the relationship between you and him but he was grateful you were giving him the chance.
*
“There you are,” you looked up from the scrapbook you were flipping through to see your girlfriend. She was wearing sweatpants and an old college T-shirt of yours, that you thought disappeared. It was nice seeing her like this; relaxed and happy. This moment with her was almost taken from you. “What are you looking at?” You held out your hand, a silent invitation for her to come to join you. She smiled and closed the distance as she sat on your bed.
“Just a photo album,” you answered, passing it to her. You watched her flip through the pages filled with memories. Towards the end of the book, you became less frequent as you weren’t home. “My dad and I were talking and it got me all sentimental.” Yelena handed the book back to you.
“Do you want to talk about it?” You shook your head.
“I’m okay, Lena,” you took her hand. “He just apologized for being the Ronin.” But there was something else nagging at the back of her head. It’s what Clint said - ‘I remember every missing tooth and every bedtime story.’ You didn’t. You didn’t even remember the first time you used your powers, only through the story. You chalked it up because he was your father, those moments were important to him. As a parent, you remembered those milestones.
You stared at Yelena and your mind began to picture you and her filling a scrapbook to persevere those moments. Did she even want that? You weren’t sure.
“Moya lyubov' (my love), I can see the smoke leaving your ears,” you giggled. “What else is on your mind?” You looked at Yelena; the woman you loved, the woman you would die for, and the woman you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. You sighed.
“Do you want kids?” The question took her by surprise.
“I can’t have kids,” she whispered. You smiled.
“I know,” you knew what Black Widows went through at the graduation ceremony. “And I’m not saying I want to carry,” you’ve seen your own mother go through it 3 times. “But we could adopt.” Yelena smiled.
“All this talk about kids and I haven’t even asked you to marry me,” you stood up, walking over to the bookshelf to put the scrapbook away.
“Who said you're going to be the one to ask,” you said, over your shoulder. “I may ask you.” You heard Yelena stand up and walk over to you. Her hands went to your waist and spun you around.
“You are going to ask Alexei for his blessing to marry me,” you rolled your eyes.
“Please Alexei and Melina love me,” it was true. Every time her parents called to talk to her, they asked about you.
“So hypothetically speaking,” you put your arms around her neck. “If we were to get married and have kids, where would we live?”
“Anywhere,” you said. “We could move to Iowa, stay in New York or Ohio.” Green eyes locked into yours.
“Ohio,” she said, slowly. “You would move to Ohio.” You giggled, playing with the baby hairs at the base of her neck.
“Of course,” you said. “I would move anywhere with you. We could get a house in a nice neighborhood with a backyard for Fanny. I could get a job as a counselor and you could travel to New York for Avenger stuff.”
“Or I could walk away from fighting and get a regular 9 to 5,” you were surprised by that. Yelena didn’t seem like the type of person to have a regular 9 to 5.
“Yeah,” you whispered. You loved the idea of having a family with Yelena. Take your kids out trick or treating for Halloween, decorate a tree for Christmas and put presents under the tree, and help with school projects. “Hypothetically speaking.”
“Of course,” but you didn’t miss the hope in her eyes.
*
On quiet feet, Yelena left your room and closed the door behind. She thanked all her years of training that she could sneak out of your room without waking you up. She had to be quick because she knew you would notice her missing. Yelena walked to the living room where she saw your parents. Before everyone turned in for the night, she asked if they could meet up. The conversation you brought up about marriage and kids was constantly playing in her mind. But as Yelena stared at the backs of Clint and Laura, fear suddenly took over her. It was a simple statement. Okay, simple was not how to describe it but her heart was pounding in her rib cage. “Are you okay?” Laura asked, snapping her out of her thoughts.
“Yeah,” Yelena said, joining them on the couch. “Sorry, I was lost in my head.”
“You said you wanted to ask us something, what’s up?” Yelena sat up straighter and cleared her throat.
“I want to ask Y/n to marry me,” they kept their faces neutral. “I know we haven’t been romantically together for long but your daughter is the most important person in my life. She’s helped me overcome grief, and transition into a normal life, and has loved me through every mistake I made. I can’t imagine my life without her.” She took another steady breath. “So, I’m asking for your blessing.” They didn’t say anything and under their intense gaze, Yelena felt very small.
“I’m telling Natasha you called Y/n the most important person in your life,” Clint deadpanned. The joke caused Yelena to laugh and the tension was released. Laura rolled her eyes, slapping Clint on the chest.
“Ignoring my idiot husband,” Laura said. “Yelena,” the mother of 4 looked directly at her. “You and your daughter have been through a lot together, probably more than most couples,” Yelena smiled. “I can’t think of anyone else I want to marry my daughter.” The blonde felt relief leave her shoulders. She looked at your father, she wasn’t leaving until she got both of their blessings. A smile crept to his face.
“It’s about time you asked,” she felt her cheeks heat up. “It feels right for you to officially be part of this family.”
“Thank you,” she said. “I’ve never thanked you for everything you’ve done for me.”
“Your family,” Laura said. “Dating or marrying our daughter wasn’t going to change it.”
“Now go get back to bed before she realizes you're gone,” Yelena stood up.
“You are right,” she rubbed her hands together. “Goodnight.”
*
“Goodnight,” Laura said, watching the Black Widow walk up the stairs. She turned to face her husband, putting her legs over his lap. “So, our firstborn is going to be engaged. How does that make you feel? Still want things to slow down.” He smiled, massaging each calf. Finally, he shook his head.
“When it comes to those two, I couldn’t be happier for them,” he said. Laura grabbed his hand, playing with the wedding back on his finger.
“Yeah, me too.”

Ugh, I love this AU. I have something planned when I hit 500 followers for this story, which I’m only 10 away which is crazy to me!

Frigg rubbed the palm of her hand nervously; she looked over her corrective lenses at Clint’s blurred face. “You know, Mr. Stark still doesn’t like or trust me. I’m sure he even set Jarvis to vaporize me on site.” She let out an airy laugh. “He probably thinks I’m some great and powerful sorceress when I’m not. I haven’t really used my magic since you took me in.”
“Lucky for you, princess, Stark isn’t at the tower today to make some snide comments about you. Besides, Nat taught him a lesson the last time he said something in front of her, so I doubt he’ll do it again.” Clint smiled at the adolescent. “We should be in and out.” He opened the front door to the Avengers Tower.
She slunk beneath his arm into the building. “If you were just doing an errand, why did you tell me it was important that I come with you?” She asked.
Clint shrugged his shoulders and followed his daughter toward the elevators. “Nat told me I should get you out of the house more often, even if that means lying to you.” He smiled. “She is right, we need to get you out more. You’re so pasty.”
Frigg pursed her lips and glanced down at the ground. She stopped walking as they stepped up to the elevator. She pressed her knuckles against the elevator button multiple times. “Very funny, dad. Do you, mom, and Aunt Nat think that I’m just some creature living in your attic?”
Clint puckered his lips and nodded slightly. “Sometimes.”
Frigg nodded slowly. “Hilarious.” She stepped into the open elevator after Clint.
“You know that’s a joke, right?” He nudged her arm.
She wavered at the force her father used. “Yeah, I know… The other night at dinner, you asked if I wanted to know how to use my powers and talked about training kids like me to be the next generation…”
Clint nodded.
“I was thinking about it…” Her voice trailed.
“And…?”
Frigg glanced up at Clint. “I don’t think it would be a bad idea to become a new-age Avenger, I want to be like you. A hero. And I want to do good things.”
“You don’t need to be an Avenger to be a hero.”

Natasha x daughter reader
Reader lives on the helicarrier with her Mommy. After spending the week with her uncle Clint whilst mommy was on a solo mission. Natasha comes home to find her daughter has picked up her uncle's annoying habit of travelling through air vents.
Air vents
Tumblr media
Y/N: 7 years old ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV "Y/N/N? Where are you, you cheeky little monkey?" Natasha calls, looking for her daughter.
Natasha only just arrived back home from her week long mission while her daughter has been with Clint over the week. And right now she really just wants some cuddles from her little girl.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Y/N's little voice is heard from the other room along with her footsteps as she's running to where her mommy is.
"There you are" Natasha sighs in relief, opening her arms for her daughter who sprints into her mother's arms in full speed, causing them to end up on the ground, Y/N on top of Natasha.
Natasha takes it as an opportunity and starts tickling her daughter, causing Y/N to squeal and laugh, trying to get away from her mother's strong hold.
"Mommy, stop" Y/N laughs out, tears from laughter escaping her eyes on which Natasha decides to actually stop.
"I missed you so much, baby" The redhead says softly, pressing a kiss to her daughter's head as she carefully stands up with Y/N wrapped around her like a koala.
"I missed you too, mommy. So much. I drew you lots of pictures, you have to see!" Y/N explains enthusiastically, swinging her legs happily while Natasha's carrying her into her room.
"Oh really? I can't wait to see then" Natasha smiles, a teasing tone in her voice.
"You'll love them, mama. Even uncle Clint helped" Y/N points out, playing with a strand of Natasha's hair.
"Speaking of uncle Clint, were you nice for him?" Natasha asks teasingly, raising an eyebrow at her daughter.
"Mhm. I'm ALWAYS nice, mommy" Y/N nods her head, earning another chuckle from her mother.
"Oh, are you now?" She teases, earning one more nod from her daughter which makes her chuckle. "Alright you, will you bring the pictures while mommy takes a shower?"
Hearing a nod from Y/N, Natasha walks into the bathroom after Y/N runs away. She knows her daughter can cause a lot of trouble without being watched though, so she really tries to take as quick shower as possible.
When she walks out of the bathroom again, she finds Y/N sitting on the bed, several papers surrounding her on which she can't help but chuckle.
"Come, mommy, you have to see!" Y/N grins, patting a spot next to her while waiting for Natasha to join her. "Look!" She grins once again, handing her mother the first drawing.
And after showing Natasha every single picture she drew for her, the little girl gets an idea.
"Let's play hide and seek, mommy!" Y/N grins, looking at Natasha with pleading eyes.
"Honey, I'm really tired, can't we just-"
"Please, mommy! Please, please!" Y/N begs, pulling out her best puppy eyes and knowing well Natasha can't resist them.
"… Fine, just for a little bit though" Natasha sighs, a smile forming on her face when she hears Y/N's cheers.
"'Kay, mommy. I'll go to hide!" Y/N beams happily, already running out of the room before Natasha can even say a word.
"Cheeky little monkey" Natasha chuckles to herself and starts counting to 20 like they always do while playing hide and seek.
What Natasha doesn't know though is that Y/N kinda took over her uncle Clint's habit which is traveling through air vents.
Y/N is such a cheeky little girl and managed to get Clint to show her every single way around the air vents. Turned out Clint can't resist Y/N's puppy eyes either, so he agreed.
Natasha starts looking for her daughter, always making sure to check every single place her daughter could be.
Y/N, on the other hand, uses the air vents every single time she hears her mother's voice or footsteps, always quietly giggling.
Natasha soon becomes desperate. She's a spy, how come she can't find her own child? The thought is stuck in her mind after she searches through every single room.
"Y/N, this is not funny anymore. Where are you?" Natasha calls, worry taking over her. Y/N couldn't just disappear, right?
Luckily for her, she bumps into Clint.
"Haven't you seen Y/N? We're playing hide and seek, but I've been looking for more than 20 minutes and just can't find her" Natasha sighs, hoping Clint will say yes.
"… I think I know where she is" Clint chuckles nervously. "I'll be back in a minute"
Before Natasha can say anything, Clint rushes away. Natasha's quick to follow, her eyes widening when she sees Clint crawl into the air vents.
It doesn't take long until he finds the little troublemaker and as soon Y/N crawls out of the air vents, she sprints to Natasha.
"I won, mommy! I won!" She grins, crashing her small body into Natasha's legs.
"You did, baby, but mommy was so worried about you. You can't do this to me ever again" Natasha sighs, lifting her daughter up and holding her tightly, happy her little one is okay.
"… Clint? How does Y/N know her way around the air vents?" Natasha raises an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.
"Well, you know… Did you hear that? I think I heard someone just calling for me. I'm coming!" Clint practically sprints out of the room, he's surely in a lot of trouble and NO ONE wants to get on Natasha's bad side.
"Clint!"

Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x Gamer!Stark!Reader, Avengers x Reader
Summary:
Your girlfriend, your dad, along with the rest of the Avengers, support you during a VALORANT tournament.
Word count: 4.6k+
Warnings: too much VALORANT descriptions, you can google stuff about it if you want to get a good visual of this story, basically an avengers fic as a whole but i love supportive gf nat >:(
A/n: one of the drafts I left a long time ago! I miss writing for the avengers, so I decided to finish this one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(completely italic dialogues - casters commentating)
All the hollering from the lounge died down when Natasha practically shoved both Sam and Bucky off the couch, stealing the TV remote in the process. Their basketball game can wait, her girlfriend’s tournament is more important.
“Oh, shoot. Y/N/N's tournament is today?” Sam suddenly remembered and Bucky made a quick detour out of the lounge to fetch Steve and possibly the others. They kind of promised you they'd support your game this time around, with the knowledge that they had free time on the dates of your tournament. Sam snapped his fingers, “Snacks. I'll be right back.”
No, you weren’t a professional athlete; if anything, you’re the opposite. Your wrists move more than your whole body most of the time, you only stay an hour or less in the gym, and you prioritize getting better in Aim Lab than a shooting range.
Ever since women playing in VALORANT E-Sports were normalized, you were one of the anticipated gamers to compete, of course you were on board and signed on to an esports organization and team roster. You’ve made a name for yourself in the gaming industry because of your high IQ and big brain plays. You used your head in every match, every round unlike the majority of the players mindlessly aiming and not landing shots. Because of your career, you’re known for something else and not just Iron Man’s daughter.
Natasha didn’t like the fact that you were glued to your computer most of the time at first. She thought Tony spoiled you too much even as an adult, but she later on realized that you graduated with a degree before settling into gaming. You worked for the Avengers, sometimes as an IT for a big company which paid more than you needed. You were basically set. All of this while you were still pretty young, a little younger than Natasha.
It’s safe to say all of Natasha’s doubts went away. She felt rather impressed and took a liking to you, which developed into something more over time.
From her phone, you chuckled when you heard Sam and Bucky’s shuffling. “We’re not up for another thirty minutes, babe.” On your end, you and your team were with the event's coordinators backstage of the actual place the tourney was held. Natasha always called you before and after your events, just because she was the best supportive girlfriend ever.
“I know, I wanted to set everything up before anything else,” Natasha put you on speaker while she dealt with the TV’s settings. You smiled to yourself, absolutely adoring your girlfriend even more when she was eager and supporting your games. “Are you guys still at the hotel?”
You had to travel out of the country for the tournament. As much as Natasha wanted to go with you (Clint wanted to go too because he ‘needed a break’, you just rolled your eyes at him and laughed), being a full time hero and an Avenger doesn’t mean you get to travel 24/7. She has to be with the team in case something terribly wrong happens, which doesn’t come with a warning. “Backstage, actually. Cloud9 and Misfits are wrapping up their last match right now,” You replied. “I've already warmed up at the hotel earlier. It's crazy how our room fits all of our PCs.”
“Ah, c'mon, you don't need no warm-ups!” Sam teased, hearing you on speaker as he walked back with refreshments and an assortment of chip bags.
You giggled, rolling your eyes at the Falcon’s words. “Stop it, Sam. You know me; I always get tilted when I play too much before the actual competition.”
Sometimes you get anxious and it affects your performance, same goes for when you warm-up too much; you lose focus the more games you play, leaving nothing for the tournament.
Despite Natasha's excitement to watch your team play, she’s not too vocal about it. She wouldn’t squeal when it starts or bombard you with loud encouragement through the call, because one, she doesn’t want to be the embarrassing girlfriend, and two, she’s the Black Widow. She’s naturally subtle about everything. You knew her more than anyone else though, so even if that was the case, you still felt her support.
Thirty minutes went by quicker than you’d hope, you were so caught up in watching the game of the other rivaling teams and commenting on everything that happened whilst still in the call with Natasha. You also answered Bucky’s queries when he came back; he’s only ever heard of e-sports since you started competing in it. He couldn’t imagine how hard switching point of views and the player’s face cameras must be. Bucky has only watched, what, actual live game tournaments, basketball or chess or whatever. It was confusing to him at times, but you told him he’d get used to it eventually just by taking note of the red and blue colors.
You were cut off by one of your teammates placing a hand on your shoulder, signaling you that it was time to go. “Alright. Nat, I have to go, I’ll call you when I get back?”
The two men were the first ones you heard react, Sam shifted in his seat excitedly while Bucky wondered out loud if he should call Tony, Peter, and Bruce, who were all unnecessarily working overtime at the lab.
You felt yourself smile again when she spoke. “Okay,” Natasha bit her lip, feeling anxious about the tournament, “I love you.”
“I love you.”
“Good luck!” Sam shouted before you hung up.
Natasha almost snorted when she heard loud footsteps coming towards the lounge entrance. Her sister had the worst timings ever.
“Someone decided to take a long shit while we were heading back. Has Y/N’s game started yet?” Yelena walked in as fast as she could with Fanny, looking at Natasha expectantly as she shrugged off her thick coat and got out of her boots. Fanny ran to where the couches were as soon as Yelena removed her leash, wagging her tail happily without a clue in the world.
“About to, but you did miss her on the phone.”
“Ah, fuck.”
Soon, Bruce, Tony, Peter, Wanda and Vision came down to watch as well. Your tournaments were one of the occasions the team had the chance to bond and get together in one room, it definitely helped with the morale as Steve would think, and they have you to thank for that.
Everyone was just in time to see you walk out to the stage with your team and the opposing one. You were in your team jersey and arm sleeves with your teammates behind you in a straight line.
Tony woot-ed, plopping down next to Natasha. “Heard Y/N/N's team is going up against a brand new team roster. This should be a piece of cake for her, eh?”
Peter sat down beside him, looking at the said rival team with yours, all lined up on stage. “I don't know about that, Mr. Stark. One of them recently went viral after getting five aces on a ranked game. She's radiant, too.”
Admittedly, he also played VALORANT with you and Ned, but often miscalculates his strength as he frequently breaks his keyboard or mouse because of freaking out whenever he sees an enemy. His reflexes and fighting skills were better off used in real time.
“And Y/N/N's been on the top ten leaderboard for, what, six months?” Tony challenged, evidently confident in your skills.
The chatter on who's better than who died down when both teams sat down on their respective computers. Though it wasn’t that noticeable to most people, Natasha noticed it right away: you were wearing the necklace she gave you. You considered it your lucky charm.
After both teams chose the maps they wanted to ban and maps they wanted to play, the game started.
You mostly play the character - or agent - Killjoy. The agent reminded you so much of yourself from her overall vibe and game mechanic: she had utility to aid the whole team, from turrets to alarm bots, and an ultimate that conducts lockdowns on any part of the map. You were so used to that character that you even played her on maps she’s not very helpful at because you mastered everything about her, which made you stand out from other players as no one would dare use characters on maps they weren't good in. Gears were practically turning in your head as the game loaded.
Then, the first game commenced.
The Avengers always made noise whenever you got a kill, or whenever the casters praised you for outsmarting the opposing team, which Steve and Bucky appreciated because it was hard for them to distinguish whether or not you did something good.
Your team easily won the first game. The Avengers were now watching your tournament on the flat screen TV like a bunch of teenagers watching a romcom, all giddy and filled with anticipation.
“Look at that, 13-1? She’s insane." Bruce shook his head. A team needed to win at least 13 rounds to win, if it's neck and neck, 14, or they may choose to go into overtime.
“I’ve never seen Y/N play with that kind of aggression before; they don’t stand a chance.” Wanda pointed out. She liked to spectate from the side whenever you played at the compound, whenever she could.
Natasha’s lips turned upright when they replayed your team’s best moments. One included your one versus three clutch, in which you threw a taunting, questioning look at the opposing roster across the stage after you effortlessly took out three enemies on your own. It was like their heads weren’t in the game at all.
The team laughed when they showed the exact clip of your face camera mocking the other team across the room. Natasha liked that about you; sure you were reserved and shy in general, but she loved it when all your confidence just comes out while you’re out there.
Another clip was when you had a problem with communication, so you weren’t aware that there were enemies around. Your character didn’t stop running because of that and you were exposed to two enemies. You reacted fast and jumped, pulled out your vandal to shoot both of them in the face.
Tony clapped his hands together at that moment. “Let’s go. Let’s fucking go, Y/N/N.”
Natasha, not all that phased on your brilliant play, could still not contain the smile on her face as she plopped back down on the couch.
“What? Wait, hold on, how did she even-” Sam looked back at everyone while they reacted to the highlight. He didn’t exactly process what happened because you moved too fast.
“God reflexes,” Yelena shrugs, not looking away from the screen. Wanda laughs in agreement.
After a bit of commentary and commercials, it was on to the next match on a new map.
Now, Natasha did not know the difference between the multiple maps at all, but she did remember you mentioning that your weakest one had to do with ice.
The next match was on a map called Icebox.
So, she watched intently as your team took a little while during the agent selection. But in the end, you decided to go for Killjoy again. Natasha could only guess what you had in mind to pull off another win.
“This is highly unusual for [Team Name] Y/N, isn’t it? Right now she’s watching the flanks when we usually expect her to be out there with a duelist to try and take picks!” The caster exclaimed, looking at their partner caster. “She’s one of the strong sentinels who you would trust to be by your side - and look at that, she takes out two already, they did not expect anyone to be holding the flank!”
“But she's using Killjoy again - couldn't she have gone for Cypher or Sage? Then again, they already have Skye on their team.”
Even though you were trying to play smart in this map, you still hated it, it was your weakest one. Still good, but not all that great. The opposing team seemed to know the typical Killjoy strategy on the Icebox map. You got sniped every round and your setups were way too predictable to the opposing team.
Soon, the score was 4-10. It was definitely not good to be on the end of only winning four rounds. Your team had to win the remaining rounds or hope for the best and go to overtime, or you lose this game and go onto the third one which would be way nerve racking and increase the odds of losing.
“Intense match so far we've got here. With [Team Name] Y/N at the bottom of the leaderboard this just has to be a miracle for [Team Name] to get a second win and move on to the next round.”
“There's also a bit of a setback with her shots in the last few rounds. I guess this is when we get to see if she's learned a thing or two from her girlfriend, right?”
Natasha rolled her eyes. “They honestly did not have to bring that up.”
The other commentator expressed confusion at their partner's comment.
“The Black Widow! [Team Name] Y/N's been dating her for the last couple years. Honestly, where have you been?”
Everyone groaned as they started bringing your dating life to the conversation when they should be sticking to the game. Tony chose to laugh it off to and ignore the annoyance, whereas Yelena mumbled, “Did they just turn into a morning show now?”
After everyone in your team died, you all decided to ask for a timeout to talk things out. While that was going on, the Avengers had their own timeout and were trying to talk about the game, or at least what they thought was happening.
“Okay, assuming we've all seen how this Killjoy character works, her character would make most sense if her utility was in Site A." Bruce said, in thought.
Vision, one of the smartest of the bunch, had not grasped the game mechanics that well over the hour and half of the tournament. "But why is that, Dr. Banner?"
“Site A is pretty cramped, while site B has a lot of space. Of course the opposing team would always go to B since Y/N’s character's utility can't place utilities in both sites, they only have limited range," Peter points to the map as soon as it's shown up close, the casters having their own separate conversation about it.
Bucky turned to a confused Steve and Sam, “I have no idea what they're talking about.”
“Where else would she put her chicken gun on site B, then?” Tony joined the conversation, talking about your character's utility placement.
“It’s,” Natasha sighed. “It’s not a chicken gun...”
“Well, that chicken gun slows down enemies, right? It would make sense if Y/N places those bomb thingies to instantly kill them.” Yelena said.
“Lena, I think Y/N is fairly capable of playing the game right,” Wanda chuckled.
“Then she should be winning.” Yelena said jokingly, chugging on her drink.
It was astonishing how a group of heroes are knowledgeable about a video game, just so they could follow what you enjoy doing. That's how much they adored you.
Clint entered the room and looked at the source of ruckus, absolutely sick of the discourse. He was aware of your tournament and has been probably spectating on different means. “They still get another match if they lose this one. It’s the best out of three.”
“I’m starting to think someone’s cheating, has anyone noticed that some of the opponent team instantly kill them with only one bullet?” Steve squinted.
Tony scoffed. “That’s ridiculous, it’s a tournament.”
“It’s because they hit them precisely on the head, Steve. Who wouldn’t die if they got shot in the head?” Sam crossed his arms.
“Me,” that came from Vision.
“You don’t count.”
They all turned back to the screen once the timeout timer ran out. Natasha could sense the tension in your team, just from the way you glanced across the stage… she could tell you were gonna have a different way of playing the remaining rounds. The screen turned to you stretching your neck from both sides, seriousness evident in your face as you clutched your mouse, ready for the game to resume.
“And we're back, and it seems that [Team Name] had enough time to come up with a different game plan. We've got one duelist camping B, one on mid, and look at [Team Name] Y/N's utility. She's got her alarm bot and nano-swarms over on A, but her turret is on B as she's over by tunnel to keep it active.”
“Again, I have no idea what he's talking about.” Bucky shrugged, crossed his arms and kept his eyes on the screen.
After fixing your team's strategy, all that was left was to deliver with accurate shots and stay alive as much as possible. By the end of a few rounds, with your team’s communication and teamwork flawless than ever, the score was 12-11. Your team only had to win one more time to officially win.
At this point, Yelena and Wanda were loudly reacting to the gameplay, Sam and Tony were howling, rooting for you. Clint ended up setting himself on one of the sofa's arms, invested in the match.
Natasha was on the edge of her seat, clutching the couch cushions. She couldn’t help but chuckle when they showed your reaction momentarily, clearly breathless and eyes wide, fist bumping your teammates seated beside you.
“Oh, what a comeback! The most intense so far, am I right?” The caster exclaimed.
“[Team Name] only has to win one more round before moving on to the next part of this tournament!”
The last round wasn’t exactly in your team’s favor in the half. Three of your team got killed already, only two of you remaining and the five of the enemy team. The rival team obviously did not want to hand over the win that easily.
After the call of another successful kill by the opposing team, you were the last one standing against a full set of players. You would either have to clutch up the round or go into overtime.
Clint perked up, pulling out his wallet. “Alright, who wants to get the bets started?” He asked, placing down a crisp fifty dollar bill on the coffee table. “Y/N wins the game.”
They all stopped to look at him as if he was a madman.
“C’mon, Barton, it’s one versus five.” Sam pointed out.
“So what? Am I the only one who believes in Y/N here? Oh, Nat, you better start placing fifties.”
Natasha merely rolled her eyes, not once wanting to bet on or against her girl. Her eyes glued to the screen in which your character is cautiously checking if the area is clear to plant the bomb.
But Tony pulled out the same type of bill from his wallet, placing it on top of the archer's money.
“Mr. Stark, you do realize you're betting against-” Peter started.
“Hush, spiderling. Watch the game.” Tony brushed him off and watched the screen intently.
Tony was proud of you, truly. But it would also be funny to tease you lovingly when you go home as a loser.
You set up your utility, kind of surprised the whole enemy team went to the other site in which they thought you were heading. They did not leave anyone behind to make sure, as per your cautious scan of the area before settling. After checking all angles again, with thirty seconds to spare, you planted the spike.
“This is a dangerous game to play. She has to hold a lot of angles by herself, they could come in from anywhere.”
The spike continued to beep, which added a lot more tension among the Avengers. Natasha alternated from looking at the actual game to your face camera, of which was the only one left colored. You kept pacing at one of the hiding places, waiting for the slightest noise or actions from the other team.
You decided to peek at one of the entrances to the site once, the Jett with an operator narrowly missed your head so you took the opportunity to blast her head off. Afterwards, your alarm bot from the other side of your hiding place went off, so you went and peeked quickly, managing to pick off another player from the opposite team. Two down, three to go.
The Avengers erupted in noise. Sam and Peter were losing their minds, Bucky and Steve had amazed grins on their faces, and Natasha was clinging on to Yelena and Fanny like a fangirl trying to contain herself.
“What was that?!”
“She's a god!”
“My god, this is way too intense for me.”
Both commentators erupted in surprised glee as well. “A double kill from [Team Name] Y/N! The others are slowly making their way into the site, what will she do?!”
A Sova fired a dart to hopefully reveal your location on the map, but you were too quick to shoot it down to cancel it. But, the Sova spotted you anyway, and was able to shoot you until you were at only 50 HP.
You hid again and recalled your turret, placing it on top of the wall in front of you before sneaking your way to the opposite side. It could watch your back while you attempt to peek on the other side to surprise your enemies.
That move managed to catch one of the other players trying to sneak in as well, and you killed them off with ease. Three down, two to go.
“Down goes [Player Name]! Sova and Yoru are still on the lookout, it's like an intense version of hide & seek up in here!”
Barely anyone was talking now, all eyes on the enormous screen.
“Y/N has her ult!” Peter pointed out.
That you did, as your third kill managed to unlock enough points for it. Aware of its availability, you hurried off to the perfect spot to plant it to cover almost the entire site, still hidden from your enemies. Killjoy's voice rang through the game, saying 'Initiated!', when you planted her ultimate.
“What's that? What's happening?” Steve asked.
“Well, it's called 'lockdown', so I'm assuming it's locking off the area within its perimeter... trapping everyone inside...” Bruce said, lost in thought because of the game.
The Yoru activated their ultimate in time with yours, and you were now twice as cautious, looking around for blue swirls of the duelist to avoid getting sniped easily. He tried to blind you, but you were quick to move your view away from the flash to avoid it. Stupidly, the Yoru's ultimate ran out while trying to destroy your lockdown, so you killed them without hesitation. Four down, one to go.
Clint cackled at the turn of events while the others continued to freak out, teasing Tony, a billionaire, on losing a fifty-dollar bet. “What did I tell you, Stark?! What did I tell you?!”
The spike's beeps started getting faster and you could finally see the finish line. But, you were still cautious as they still had more than enough time to defuse if they managed to kill you.
“You know, [Team Name] Y/N could just leave the site at this point. It's game over for [Rival Team Name].”
“Ah, don't speak too soon there! [Team Name] Y/N's now inspecting the outer corners of the site, unaware of [Rival Team Name] [Player]'s sneaky entrance - and she's placed a smoke down, ready to defuse!”
Of course you were unaware of the opponent's whereabouts. But, you did hear the defuse sound go off for a second. With that, you head back, holding a grenade to throw near the area of the spike.
“She's got this in the bag.” Sam said in content.
After a few seconds, the defusing sound started up again, but you were certain that the grenade you set off did some damage to your opponent on top of the information you got from your teammates before they died.
You started to jiggle-peek from your spot, clearly visible from your opponent's perspective, so they had no choice but to stop defusing the spike to try and shoot you.
Unfortunately, they did a number on you, so you decided to go around. Once the cooldown reset on your turret, you placed it down on one side for intel. With only 20 HP left, you snuck up to the other side of the obstacle to hopefully pull off a knife kill for the finale.
“This game is way more intense than I thought.” Bucky spoke thoughtfully amidst the suspense-filled silence.
“Shhhh!”
“Oh my god, she's got her knife out.” Natasha said in disbelief, watching your character sneak up behind your opponent whose back is facing you.
“So?”
“Just wait for it.” Natasha bit her lip, knowing fully well how you always prefer a devastating way to end a match.
The commentators were freaking out, a combination of “no's”, “don't do this”, and “not like this” rang through the Avengers' speakers. It was considered devastating in the VALORANT community to be killed in game with a knife instead of a gun or anything else. The opponent is oblivious, having already defused half of the spike, but they didn't know what would soon come.
You strike your knife at their head, killing them instantly, the spike left undefused. The game graphics became slow motion while the screen flashed green with 'VICTORY' in the middle of it all. You stood up almost immediately, proud of your savage last kill, fist-bumping all your teammates.
“AN ACE FROM [Team Name] Y/N! [Team Name] IS GOING TO THE MASTERS!”
You hugged your team as well before turning to the camera nearest to you, blowing hot air onto the lens, and tracing a heart followed by a cheeky grin and a wink.
“Yup, she's a Stark alright!”
Roars and cheers emitted from the commentators, the present audience, and the Avengers. Sam yelled and everyone followed, but the loudest one was Clint, who then swooped down to collect his cash prize for winning the bet. Tony didn't care at all, laughing along with the others; he had something new to brag about his kid. Natasha's cheeks flushed, as they always did when it came to you.
“SHE WON!”
“I'll get the booze!”
“In your face, Stark!”
“Cap, you stepped on my foot!”
Natasha unlocked her phone to take a quick picture of the livestream of the heart you drew on the camera, as well as of the stage displaying all of your team's headshots with an abundance of confetti almost covering it. All she wanted now was to call you, but she knew you probably had interviews and post-game rituals with your team, and she had champagne to drink with her own team in celebration of you.
The next morning, on a quick flight back home, the first thing that caught your attention was Natasha's Instagram story of the tournament. Your family supported and watched the tourney for you, as the following slides of her story consisted of the team chugging on champagne, Clint showing off an apparent bet that he won, and Peter and Sam posing in front of the TV when your face camera was shown up close.
Smiling, you liked her stories and replied with 'Thank you for supporting me, my love. I'll see you all soon'.

Summary: you’ve always been an angry child, what happens when your mom finally hits her limit?
Request: 3 year old beats up avengers for no reason at all or you can make up a reason
Word Count: 1.7k
Warnings/Content: Minor Fighting&Violence / bad mom Nat / inaccurate autism discovery
—————————————————————————
Natasha curled in on herself as she muffled her sobs behind her fists. She could hear you screaming, hear you yelling at anyone who dared to look your way. The redhead was shaking, though she wasn’t sure if it was fear, anger or pure distress. You had always been a wild child, Natasha assumed it was because you were the daughter of an assassin. She thought it was her fault that you were complete unmanageable, she never had a mother or a role model. Natasha had no right pretending to know how to be a mom and now she was to blame for raising another mess of a human being. But Natasha knew one thing, she loved you so much.
The widow took a few moments to pull herself together and steady her breathing. She emerged from her bedroom when she heard you scream again. When your outbursts first started, Natasha would snap into action at your yelling, fearing you were in danger. Now, she dreaded having to find you when she heard your cries. “Romanoff!” Natasha heard from a distance “come get your child!” Tony yelled in frustration. The redhead rubbed at her tired eyes before heading to the common room, she was completely numb to the sight she was met with.
Tony and Clint were cowering in the corner while you flicked your legs out towards Wanda. The witch knew she had an easy answer to end this situations, but she was completely against using her magic on a 3 year old. “Y/n you need to calm down” she said as she protected herself with her arms. “No!” You screamed as you attacked her hands with your nails. “Leave me alone!” You cried as you rolled onto your stomach. Wanda took the opportunity to attempt to lift you up, but the high pitched scream you let out as soon as her hands touched you changed her mind. “Stop it now y/n!” The witch said, her voice remaining calm as always.
Natasha watched as the seen unfolded, eyes welling up with anger. You continued to kick and yell, the sound causing her ears to ring and the blood in her chest boil. This was her final straw. She couldn’t take it anymore. “ENOUGH!” The redhead suddenly screamed, silencing the room, including you. Natasha hated shouting at you, even when you were miss behaving. She didn’t want you to grow up thinking you would get screamed at for every inconvenience, but she’d held on for as long as she could. “Mommy?” You whimpered. “Be quiet y/n!” Natasha said, a stern look still on her face “I’ve had enough of this! I can’t take it anymore! I don’t know how to help you y/n” she continued, looking over at Clint “I think we have to go to plan b” she cried quietly.
The archer stepped forward cautiously “Natasha” he whispered “we said it would be a last, last resort” Clint said. “I know” Nat muttered “but that’s where we are” she said as she crossed her arms across her chest. “What’s going on?” Wanda asked. “I’ll pack her bag” Natasha said, ignoring the brunette witch. She turned on her heels and exited the room before you could blink “mommy” you whined as you watched her red hair disappear “un-uncle Clint?” You whimpered as your nerves took over. Clint gave Wanda and Tony a knowing look and the pair quickly made their way elsewhere.
“I need you to listen to me sweetheart” your uncle said as he approached you “your attitude lately has been bad, and mommy doesn’t know how to help you anymore. Neither do I. So we’re gonna take you to a doctor okay, and you might stay their for a little while” Clint said. “No” you yelled as you ran at him with your tiny fists “no y/n” Clint said as he quickly took hold of you, restraining you softly. “Listen to me sweetheart, your mommy loves you okay. This won’t be forever I promise” he attempted to soothe. You thrashed weakly in Clint’s arms. Why was Natasha sending you away? What did you do wrong?
It was two weeks since you’d been gone, since Natasha send you away. The guilt was eating away at her with every passing day. The redhead felt stiff as she made her way through the kitchen, she had finally fallen asleep on the couch after not resting for 2 days. Your mom hadn’t been outside of the tower since she sent you away, and she could barely leave her room most days. Natasha couldn’t handle the constant whispers and judgemental looks. She never wanted this to happen, but she had no choice. The widow was pulled from her thoughts when Clint spoke up from the doorway “Nat, dr Abrams is here to see you” he said stoically. “Let’s go to my office” Natasha said.
Your mom guided your doctor down to her office, hiding her trembling hands beneath her hoodie. “How are you doing Miss Romanoff?” Dr Abrams asked. Natasha nearly scoffed at his concern “how’s y/n” she said, changing the subject. “She’s doing well” the doctor said. “Have you done the assessment?” Natasha asked. She knew it would take a little while, but your mom had been going mad while you were undergoing tests. “Yes that’s why I’m here” Abrams said, Natasha let out a sigh of relief. “I’ve spoken to her psychologists and paediatricians. We’ve made a diagnosis of autism, it’s a learning disability characterised by-“ Natasha’s face dropped “I know what it is” she said.
All this time, your mom thought you were just an uncontrollable kid. She thought that she was failing as a mother, and in that moment she believed it the most. “Miss Romanoff?” Your doctor asked, breaking the silence. “When can she come home?” Your mom asked. “We’ll continue to monitor her for another week or two in order to find the best way to proceed with her treatment” Dr Abrams said. Natasha felt the guilt rise through her chest “bring her home. Today” she said. “I’m sorry it doesn’t work like that” the doctor frowned. “It wasn’t a request” Natasha said, giving her signature glare.
She doesn’t know how, but Tony had managed to convince (or bribe) your doctors to send you home. You were on the way back now, terrified that your mom was still angry with you. Natasha was waiting patiently in the common room, holding on tightly to a new stuffed bear. Your mom was desperate to come and collect you herself, but Clint convinced her to stay behind and prepare your favourite dinner. The archer opted to go and get you, he knew you would be less anxious to see him first. You had your uncle wrapped around your little finger and you knew he wouldn’t be mad at you anymore.
Natasha paced the room frantically until she finally heard Clint’s car pull up outside. She couldn’t wait to have you home again. You whined as you climbed out of the car, convincing your uncle to carry you up to the common room. “Is mommy still mad at me?” You quietly asked. You had wanted to ask the second you saw him, but your voice felt lost. Clint was careful not to answer you until you were about to walk through the door, he didn’t want to make you nervous with his response, although he knew the real answer was no. “Why don’t we go and find out” he smiled as he set you down, allowing you to take the lead into the common room.
You pushed open the door slowly and your eyes lit up when you saw the decorated room. There was a huge welcome home banner hanging from the ceiling and balloons floating freely around the room. “Hi my baby” Natasha said in her softest voice, crouching down and extending her arms. “Mama” you whimpered as you approached her. “Oh my girl I missed you so much!” Nat smiled. “You’re not mad at me anymore mama?” You quietly asked. “Oh no baby girl, no I promise! Mama was never mad at you. I’m so sorry for shouting and…and for sending you away. Mommy was wrong and I’m so sorry” Natasha said as she frowned with guilt.
“I forgive you mama!” You said as you threw yourself into your mom’s arms. “Oh my girl” Natasha cooed as she squeezed you tight “I promise to be a better mommy from now on ok, I’m gonna help you” she said. “Help me get better?” You shyly asked. Natasha’s heart ached at your words “no baby, you don’t need to get better because there’s nothing wrong with you” she emphasised as she held your little face in her soft hands. “But the doctor said I have autism, and that I need medicine” you questioned. “And that’s true baby, but it doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. It just means that your brain works a little differently, but I promise you that is not a bad thing” your mom said.
“So I’m not bad?” You innocently asked. Natasha looked deeply into your watery eyes, she would never forgive herself for letting this happen. “No. No y/n I promise you’re not bad. You are my beautiful brave and perfect little girl” your mama smiled. “Listen to me, things might be hard for a little while, but I promise you they will be okay. We’ll be okay baby girl, because mommy has you. Mommy has you always!” Natasha exclaimed as she kissed every inch of your skin “I love you so much!” She said. “I love you too mommy!” You smiled as you threw yourself back into Natasha’s arms.
When you finally pulled back, you eyed the ball of fur sitting beside your mom. You knew instantly what it was, Natasha always got you one when she had upset you. “Can I have my bear mommy?” You asked with a cheeky grin. Your mom couldn’t help but laugh as you looked back at her with her own signature smirk. “Of course you can baby, you can have anything you want” she said as she pulled the bear from behind her back. Natasha grinned from ear to ear as she watched you meet your new friend, she was filled with joy as she saw the daughter she knew you truly were. You ran around happily showing Clint your new bear, and Natasha knew then that you were going to be alright. Everything was going to be alright.

My idea is winterwidow's daughter meeting Clint's children‼️‼️‼️or maybe staying with uncle Clint while mom and dad going on a mission‼️‼️‼️
Uncle Clint
WinterWidow x Daughter!reader
Summary: Your Mama and Daddy had to go on a mission but Uncle Clint is there to take care of you.
———
Natasha and Bucky were getting ready to leave for their mission, their gear on and their stuff packed. They were standing at the front door of the Barton homestead, their little 2-year-old daughter Y/N clinging onto Natasha's leg.
Your little lip wobbled as you looked up at Natasha, your big blue eyes filled with tears. “No Mama no! Don’t go!” You couldn’t understand why your parents had to leave you. Of course, you loved your uncle Clint and his family it’s just that you did miss your mama and daddy when they went away on missions.
Natasha looked down at you and frowned. “I know sweetheart but Mama and Daddy have to go. We’ll be back soon, I promise.”
———
About 10 minutes of screaming and crying later, you eventually let go of Natasha and said goodbye to her and Bucky. Clint picked you up and put you on his hip, hoping that Lila would cheer you up.
Clint looked down at you and rubbed your back. “Would you like to go play dollies with Lila? would that make you feel better?”
You nodded your head and Clint put you down onto your two feet. You hesitated for a second but made your climb up the stairs and towards Lila’s room.
You stood at the door of Lila’s room, your little hands grasping your jumper while you shifted from foot to foot in nervousness.
“Lila, I play dollies with you?” Your little voice asked from the doorway.
Lila looked up from her spot on her floor, dolls in hand. She nodded her head eagerly “Of course! You can be this dollie!” Lila held up a blonde-haired doll with green eyes and a red dress. Your face lit up with a smile
“Okay!” You grinned and sat down next to Lila, gently taking the doll from her hands
———
Dinner time was a breeze, you sat next to Cooper and Lila at the table. You had steak and vegetables, the steak was cut into little pieces so it was easier for your little teeth to chew. You ate it all with no problem except for the broccoli which took you a bit longer to eat.
When you finished your bath and bedtime arrived, Clint took you into the spare room where the crib he had put back together for when you came to visit and your overnight bag was. You opened up your bag and were expecting to find your stuffed giraffe and other bedtime comforters but only saw your baby blanket and pacifier. You looked up a Clint with an upset frown.
“Where’s Gigi?” You whimpered and tipped your bag over, hoping she was buried somewhere under your clothes but she wasn’t.
Tears started forming in your eyes as your beloved friend wasn’t in sight. “Uncle Clint! Can’t find Gigi!” You cried
Clint quickly picked you up and started to search the bag. “It’s alright Y/N, we’ll find her. She’ll be here somewhere.”
You and Clint spent about 20 minutes looking for Gigi until Laura came into the room with a clean and fluffy stuffed giraffe, she smiled at you.
“Sorry sweetheart, I just washed her for you. She got all dirty when you were playing outside today, but she’s all clean now and ready for bed!”
Your blue eyes lit up with relief and excitement, you cuddled Gigi tightly to your chest. “Thanks, Aunty Laura!”
Clint tucked you into the crib, your pacifier in your mouth along with your baby blanket and of course, Gigi. You fell asleep peacefully knowing that your Mama and Daddy would be back tomorrow to come pick you up.

Can I place an order for Marvel? If yes: HERE YOU GO. Where the reader is Steve and Natasha's daughter, Tony and Bucky's goddaughter (you can already imagine that) and mainly, she was raised by all the avengers and hidden from the spotlight. Just something pretty fluffy for what her relationship with them would be like 🥺✋
Ohana means family
Paring: Romanogers!Daughter!reader X Avengers(Platonic)
A/n: thank you for the request. This is my first request for the MCU Fandom, hope you enjoy.
Tumblr media
Being the daughter of Captain America and Black Widow is blessing a curse... I'll tell you why.
But first if your the daughter of them I could imagine you having Steve's kind heart and Natasha's temper. Your Godfather Tony always got a kick out of a tiny you getting all angry. And his laughter would only get heavier if you came and started punching his leg for laughing.
Tony would definitely be a second father. He's wanted to be different from his father so he will always show you the love and affection his father didn't show him.
You don't like hearing about Peggy. I think it's because she was almost your dad's love. Natasha never had a problem with hearing Steve talk about her but the woman always left you frustrated just by the sound of her name... You'd never tell your dad this though.
Anyway, being around all theses heros obviously inspired your choice of future work, this scares not only your parents but the whole team.
Sure your mother would teach you how to shoot or Tony will teach you how to build a robot but they all fear the day you'll actually have to use those skills.
Your other Godfather Bucky seems to be the only one with peace about this suprisenly. If you told him you want to be a superhero he'll grien and listen to your reasoning.
There's been times where he'll put toy boxing gloves on your hands and teach you how to punch. Natasha put a stop to it quickly though. One day he was setting on his knees so he was your hight and you kept punching his flesh hand. He wouldn't let you hit his metal hand in fear you'll hurt your self.
Sam would always tease that you have Bucky wrapped around your little finger.
Bucky and Tony always compete to see who can be the coolest Godfather. If one gets you a cool Lego set or dollhouse the other one will get the bigger version. You love Elvis Presley at the time Tony will take you right to Graceland. You want to go you a waterpark Bucky will have you there in a flash before Tony can have the chance.
A down side is you learned how to be independent with your Hero Family. It's not a bad thing and they don't do it intentionally but there's many times you spent at the compound with Pepper and Happy.
But your mom and dad always make it up to you. I wouldn't say your spoiled, but if you ask one of your godfathers nicely(with puppy eyes) you usually get it.
But another down side of being a part of this family is them being extremely over protective. There's been many times you couldn't do something or had to stay indoors for long periods of time because someone was plotting your father's death.
If you do go somewhere one of them is with you. If you want to go to a zoo trip for school one of them is with you. You want to check the mailbox Sam is flying around watching you. And don't even think about going to friends house for a slumber party. Steve and Nat aren't trying to be strick or anything they just always have this sicking feeling something will happen.
On a more positive note... You always have the best time with them. To be honest you never worried about having friends because you had them. You of course have friends your age but you consider the Avengers your Best Friends. Speaking of which Cassie Lang is probably your Best Friend.
Which means the first sleepover you ever had was with Cassie. Since you technically would be with an Avenger it was okay. Tony thought it was dumb to leave you alone with "Thumbelina" but Steve trusts Scott and Nat trusts Hope.
Speaking of which play time is always token to the extreme. You want a nerf gun war, the whole team is involved. You want to build a Lego thing, tony will buy the biggest one. Blanket fort? You don't have to ask Clint and Scott twise.
I think you'll always try and lift Thor's hammer. You've tried but couldn't so one time Thor lifted it with you so you could have the experience.
You love it when Bruce reads to you. If you come up to him with a book he'll drop everything and read to you. It's the only thing that will make him leave the lab immediately. It's calming to him and he always uses different funny voices to make you laugh.
I won't tell anyone but once you got older you had a small crush on Peitro, which didn't set well with most of the men in the compound when Cassie acdently let the cat out of the bag. You've never saw the ironman suit appear so quickly..
I think once you got older the over protectiveness got old. You found it annoying a frustrating at times but in the end you're greatful that you have a group of people that care about you so much.
Be patient with them. They love you and trust you, they just don't trust other people.
Since you can't be on the flighting field you went to medical school and with everyones help(especially from Bruce and Tony) you were able to graduate with a trauma certification and now you work with Dr. Cho in the med bay.
You always hate seeing them beat up from missions but you also love helping Them and other people.
I don't think you and Peter would get along. I don't know why, I just do. I think at one point they tried to get you to go on a date with him but it never happened.
For a little bit I think you had a jealously thing going on and didn't like how close Peter was getting to Tony. Your Godfather noticed this and told you that you'll always be his number one.
Speaking of Starks, your literally the best big sister to Morgan. You two are basically two peas in a pod. And don't even think about messing with her because you will through hands to anyone who's rude to her.
Your basically to her what Tony was to you.
When you get older you do become an Avenger and the elders got over it. You proved you can survive and they couldn't be more proud of you.
This is your family and you couldn't be more thank full. There may have been bumbs mountains along the the way but they'll always be family. And that's forever.

Tumblr media
The mood of everyone since the morning started had been off, and no one was addressing it. Everyone went on with their days, doing their jobs, meetings, training, planning for future missions, but there was a tension in the air, and Tony was a lot quiter than usual. More passive, off in a daydream, but no one asked if he was alright. They didn’t have to.
They knew he wasn’t alright. Why would he be? It was the third anniversary of the death of you, his daughter. It wasn’t a natural death- something anyone saw coming and could prepare for. It was sudden, coming out of nowhere, surprising everyone. And the worst part? It wasn’t even an accident.
No one knew the exact details about what happened that day. You were acting strange- but that was just you everyday, being secretive, getting into trouble that Tony didn’t know the full extent of until days or weeks or months after it was all over, usually you putting yourself in insane amounts of danger to solve a criminal case, each time never failing to driving your poor father insane with worry. But in hindsight, the team couldn’t deny you were being even more secretive, more paranoid, more shut off then usual. The last time any of them saw you asleep in the tower before your death was 3 days prior, and none had seen you ate for at least a day before, being consumed in your work and thoughts, but they never got the chance to ask what was happening to offer help because you left the tower the night prior to your death, and the last time anyone heard from you, was when you called your dad to tell him you were sorry, and goodbye.
Tony had spent the last 3 years trying to figure out what the case you were working on was. There was no doubt that your death was linked to it in some way. However, you hadn’t told him much, and no matter how many times he flipped your old room upside down or had FRIDAY scan your electronics for anything, or keep track of every single contact in your phone and friend on social media for any suspicious behaviour, there wasn’t many leads,  and those leads dried up in a year. You told no one what you were investigating, you covered your tracks thoroughly, and if you had taken any notes about your findings, you hid them so well not even a genius, and more importantly your father, could find out where you had put them. No traces. No leads. No idea on what led you to the decision to die that day, and so seemingly out of nowhere. The end result was nothing but questions, and your dad who was trying to act like nothing happened- somewhere between you’re still alive and just somewhere living such a normal quiet life- totally not your style- to the point where he had nothing to tell the others about and so didn’t speak about you, and acting like you never existed in the first place, but spending every night looking for anything to give him answers.
Despite the clear discomfort and tension amongst everyone in the room, everyone tried to act like it was a normal day. Everyone consciously tried to not look at Tony more often than they usually would, stayed on track with their conversations, and Tony kept his head down and was quieter than he usually was as Maria was briefing the group about some leads they got from their last mission. However, after Maria paused to switch slides, the quiet but identifiable buzzing of a vibrating phone was heard, and everyone stopped and looked amongst each other before Tony felt his pocket, and eyes went to him. “Sorry.” He apologised with a fake smile as he dug into his pocket, retrieving the phone and looked at who he was, then froze, the smile fading immediately. Everyone tensed as Tony stared at the screen of his phone. Bruce, who was sat closest to Tony, peaked over his shoulder, before his eyes widened and he looked at everyone in a panicked rush before turning back to Tony.
“T-Tony-” Was all he was able to get out before Tony stood abruptly, leaving the room, and putting the phone to his ear. Everyone looked at Bruce in stunned silence, knowing he was was the only one in the room to give answers to what just happened. Bruce gulped, before he opened his mouth again. “It was Y/N. Y/N was calling him.”
“Who the hell is this and how did you get my daughter’s phone?” Tony stopped in the empty hallway, but his voice, while a growl, was still a whisper. He could feel his hands shaking, pumping with adrenaline. Despite the fact that you were long gone, Tony kept your phone. He paid the bill for it to remain active, kept it tucked in a drawer in your room between clothes where he couldn’t hear the vibration so he could call your number and hear your voicemail and for a moment believe you’d pick up, and just to hear your voice so he couldn’t forget. He couldn’t forget. At this point the words ‘Hi this is Y/N, if you’re hearing this, I’m busy. Don’t call again, I’ll call you maybe’ were the crispest words he could recall in your voice. He only got the phone out once a week to charge it back up.
“Dad, it’s me. It’s Y/N.” The voice on the phone responded to him. You. It was you. Even the tone in your voice was the same- somewhere between tired and annoyed, but Tony long knew you usually didn’t actually feel the way your voice sounded. Despite this, Tony couldn’t help but doubt. This had to be a trap. Someone pretending to mess with him. “Sorry for… what I did. I really wish I could have done it differently, given you some piece of mind, but trust me, it was the only way.” You told him, and Tony couldn’t help the small scoff escaping him. This had to be a trick, unless he was somehow talking to your ghost? As if.
“Prove it’s you.” He said simply, and he heard you chuckle.
“I knew you’d say that. I’m coming into the tower now. FRIDAY is about to alert you. Let me in.” You told him and hung up. Tony dropped the phone to his side, and waited. Waited for FRIDAY to activate, to speak. After a second, nothing happened, and Tony sighed, closing his eyes. It was a trick. A sick trick of some sort-
“Mr Stark?” The voice of the AI made Tony’s eyes snap open. “I don’t know how to explain this, but your daughter is downstairs and wants access to the elevator to meet with you. Shall I activate security and lockdown?” She asked him.
“No. Let her come up.” Tony answered, turning and starting to head back down the hallway, using the wall to stabilise himself. Ahead of him, the door to the meeting room opened, everyone stepping out and seeing him, Steve stepped forward, putting a hand on Tony’s arm. They were expecting an angry Tony, one who would snap at Cap, tell him to get his hands off of him, that some sick individual had called him as a joke, or that someone else had gotten your phone number and somehow called him on accident or something- not Tony, so pale they thought he was dying, seemingly in deep shock and not fully aware of his surroundings.
“Tony what happened?” Steve asked, holding the man up.
“It was her. She… she’s in the elevator now, she’s going to be here any second-” He told them.
“It’s probably a trap, everyone be ready.” Natasha spoke up, and everyone moved out of the hallway to the large open lounge area where the elevator’s opened to, and they waited. Tony forced Steve to take him as well, not sure who to believe. It sounded just like you. But you’re dead. Who else could be in the elevator? But you’ve been gone for three years.
After a short period of time, the elevator was heard reaching the floor, and everyone tensed as the door opened. Everyone stared as you stepped out. Completely fine. Your eyes scanned each of the avengers, before they landed on your dad. Your head tilted, your shoulders slumping, and you sighed. “Hi dad.”
Tony carefully pulled Steve off of him, walking slowly over to you until he stood over you, taking in all your features- making sure they were all correct. Little features only a parent would notice about their child, things that even a clone would fail to adopt. They were all there. Tony raised his arm and put it on your shoulder, and when his hand didn’t go straight through you like a hallucination or a hologram, he pulled you towards him into a hug. It was only when you wrapped your arms around him did he finally digest that you were actually here, and he lost his breath. “How? How are you here?” He asked as he clung to you.
“Where the hell have you been, kid?” Clint asked. “We all thought you were dead. You faked your own death for three years- why are you back now?” He asked. You pulled away from your dad to look at everyone again, before looking at your dad, who also very clearly wanted answers.
“It was related to your case, right?” Tony asked, and you nodded. “What happened?”
“Something unexpected happened. Someone, somehow, had the upper hand on me, and they made a very clear and very real threat that I had to take seriously and act quickly to get control of the situation back.”
“Y/N, stop being vague. You’ve been gone 3 years, I want answers, not another riddle to decipher.” Tony scorned at you, getting an annoyed look from you, before you responded.
“I thought I was up against a singular person, but I quickly realised it was multiple people, and then I found out that was an entire organisation, and the head of it all made it clear that they had the man power to make the threat to kill you and anyone I care about.” You explained, looking directly at Tony, before you turned to the others. “And you all too. They sent evidence to me that they had people tracking your every move and at any point if I didn’t do as they said, they could kill you immediately. I had to do as they say.”
“What did they want you to do?” Tony asked, this time his voice a lot calmer, though there was some veiled anger- not at you- in his voice.
“To die.” You answered, shortly, and quickly everyone realised exactly what had happened. “So I did. I had to make it look as real as possible, and also make sure no one could trace what I had been doing so they wouldn’t go after you for knowing things and making everything I did be for nothing. So, I died, they thought they had nothing to worry about anymore, and they went on with their ventures, and I got to work on getting under their skin without them realising. As of 2 hours ago, that case is officially closed. News reports will be rolling in soon, but I don’t know when or even if I can ‘come back to life’. But… I had to let you know as soon as it was safe to do so, that I’m alive and okay. And I’m sorry.” You explained.
“You were… undercover, this entire time? Did you do it alone?” Tony asked. You shook your head.
“I had a small group of people who knew bits and pieces of what I was doing but no one knew the full image, so even if they were compromised, I’d still have an upper hand, luckily it never got to that point, but other than them, yes, I was alone 95% of the time.” You explained to him.
“Anyone we know?” Natasha asked, clearly hinting to Maria or Fury, but you shook your head.
“None of the people I worked with have any ties back to any of you. Like I said, I covered all traces. None of the people I worked with even knew of me being a Stark.” You told her.
“So you solved the case. What now?” Thor asked. Your eyes moved to look back at your dad.
“I need to continue to lay low for a while, might need a bit of the help of SHIELD to expose the information I have as to why the actions I did were the right course, and I can’t just come back- I’ve been dead three years, that’ll be breaking news and easy to tie back to the case if it’s found out too early. So I’m going to lay low, keep my head down… no cases for quite a while. Consider it a holiday.”
“How about that vacation house I used to take you to all the time when you were little? In the middle of nowhere. Also means I can come say hi for a few weeks and we can catch up.” Tony offered, and you smiled and nodded.
“That sounds good. When we get there I can tell you all about the look on that idiot’s face when he realised I wasn’t dead and I was about to make him the dead one.”
“Alright maybe don’t admit to murder until we can get you cleared of charges.” Tony said, pushing you back to the elevator to take you home to gather what you needed, the dynamic of you oversharing or saying something inappropriate and him having to draw you back in or reprimand falling back into place so easily. Like you were never gone.
Hope you like it! If you have any questions, please send them in!

Life Goes On by Ed Sheeran
Tumblr media
Part 2 of Eyes Closed by Ed Sheeran
Summary: For the past year, your mom never left you for long and if she did you would come with her. But now duty calls and you can't go with her. Will she keep her promise of always coming back to you?
Relationships: Maria x daughter!reader, Yelena x niece!reader
Warning: Secret Invasion Spoilers, Major character death, grief, angst with small fluff, guilt, everyone is sad and everyone needs a hug
Word count: 4.7k
“Are you sure you have to go?” You asked for the 100th time as soon as you learned your mom had to go off on a mission. You were lying on her bed, feet dangling over the side as she packed her bag. Without looking, you knew she was suppressing a sigh and pinching the bridge of her nose.
“You know I wouldn’t go if it wasn’t important,” that was her response every time you asked and you believed her. For the past year, Maria refused any mission that would take her away from you. If she needed to travel you went with her or stayed with your grandmother. You traveled to DC, California, and Texas with her. But now you had no idea where she was going. She grabbed your hands and pulled you up to a sitting position, smiling at the pout of your face. “I won’t be gone for long, a month at best, and you’ll get to spend time with your grandma and the Bartons.” That sounded fun especially since your grandmother loved to spoil you but you wanted your mom.
“Why does it have to be you?” You whined. You knew you were acting like a child, throwing a tantrum but you didn’t care. “Why can’t Uncle Nick go?” This time your mom didn’t suppress your sigh. It was a sensitive topic regarding the former director of SHIELD, who took off after Tony’s funeral and ignored all her calls.
“Have you packed?” She deflected your question with one of her own. You nodded with a smile. “Good, I have something for you.” She let go of your hands and opened the drawer of her nightstand. She pulled out a small box and she sat down next to you as you opened it. It was a golden heart-shaped locket. You placed the box next to you and opened it, one side was a picture of you and your moms, and on the other side was a solo picture of just them. You smiled.
“Can you put it on for me?” You asked, handing it to her. She took it and the cold metal was placed around your neck. “Thank you,” you smiled and turned around to hug her. “I love it.” You held onto her tight as she kissed the top of your head.
“I can see the smoke coming out of your ears because you are thinking so hard,” you giggled as she tickled your sides. You rested your head on her lap and looked up at her. She was smiling down at you, patient as you got your thoughts together. With a sigh, you played with the locket.
“Have you heard from Yelena yet?” You asked. That was another wild ride that occurred within the past year. When Clint was spending time with his kids in the city, he somehow got involved with the Tracksuit Mafia, and a Black Widow assassin was hired to kill him. That assassin so happened to be your aunt. He called your mom for help. In the end, Yelena didn’t kill him but she disappeared. You and Maria were trying to get a hold of her as you so desperately wanted to meet her.
“No,” she said. “But she has spoken to Kate a few times,” you liked Kate. She was full of energy and her dog was cute. “She’ll reach out when she’s ready. Black Widows are very special.” She tapped you on the nose.
“Can you tell me the story of you and Mama met again?” It was a story you’d heard thousands of times from Natasha telling it one way and Maria telling it another. It was your favorite story. Maria stole a glance at the clock and you watched the internal debate she was having with herself but she smiled.
“Of course, I can,” she moved so her back was resting on the headboard and your head was still in her lap. “So you know Uncle Clint was supposed to kill your mama but he disobeyed a direct order and gave her a chance to defect to SHIELD,” your mom started. “I didn’t trust her at first and I thought it was a horrible idea to bring her into the organization but your mama,” she sighed but her smile told you she wasn’t sad. “Was persistent and did everything to win me over. She flirted with me every chance she got,” you giggled. If Natasha was here to tell this story, the roles would be reversed. “But I kept my guard up until Fury assigned us to the same mission and she saved my life.” Your mama took a bullet for her. “I sat by her bedside for three days.”
“And when she woke up, you yelled at her.”
“Hey,” she gasped. “Are you telling the story or am I?” You laughed as she tickled your sides. “We didn’t officially get together until she became an Avenger but she,” you frowned as you watched a tear leave her eye and fall down her cheek. With gentle hands, you whipped it away. “She was my best friend.”
“Second to me, right?” You teased and it pulled a deep laugh out of her.
“Oh 100%,” she lay down and cuddled up against you.
“I’m gonna miss you,” she sighed, kissing the top of your head.
“I’m going to miss you too.”
*
You exited the airport with your suitcase in hand and backpack tight on your shoulder. The air in Iowa was so different than the city air. Your mom said it was cleaner. “Hey squirt,” you turned around at your nickname and saw Clint standing by his pickup truck, a sign in his hand with your name on it. The sign was cute but what caught your attention was the one-eyed golden retriever that sat next to him.
“Lucky!” You ran over to them. The sound of his name being called caused the dog to get excited and tug on the leash. He didn’t have to wait long for you to kneel at his level. You dropped your suitcase and wrapped your arms around his neck as he attacked your face with kisses.
“What am I chopped liver?” Clint said, throwing his arms to the side. “I almost died for that dog.”
“Oh, you are so dramatic,” you looked up to see Lila hanging out the passenger window. “Humans like dogs more than people,” you giggled and stood up.
“Hi Uncle Clint,” you said. He stared at you, blinking once then twice.
“You have dog drool all over your face.” He deadpanned. You used your shirt to clean your face before he hugged you.
“I didn’t know you guys had Lucky,” you said, opening the door to the back of the truck. The golden retriever jumped in and followed. Clint helped you with your luggage. Once you were buckled in, you sent a quick text to your mom and grandmother that you were with Clint.
“Just for a few more days,” Lila said. Clint got into the driver’s seat and started the drive back to the farm. “She’s helping Yelena free a few Widows.” You saw Clint glance at you through the mirror. Your mom must have told him of your desperate attempts to meet your aunt.
“So they’ll be here to pick up Lucky?” You scratched the dog underneath his chin.
“Probably just Kate,” Lila said. “Yelena doesn’t come over much. She still has a lot of guilt for you know trying to kill my dad.” You smiled at that but your heart ached. They got to meet Yelena, the one person you could ask what your mam was like in Ohio. Natasha told you about the mission and how the Red Room gave her a loud mouth, annoying blonde of a sister.
‘I think you’d get along with her,’ Natasha said, decorating a cut-out Christmas tree cookie.
‘Yeah?’ You questioned, not looking up as you were very focused on decorating your star with yellow icing. ‘What makes you say that?’
‘You can get anyone to like you,’ she tapped your nose. Her finger was covered with green icing. ‘And you are a great reminder of family. She needs that.’
“So, what’s she like?”
*
You loved spending time with your grandmother. For two weeks, you visited the zoo, bookstores, and the candy store that was right down the road. But you were excited to have people to hand out that were your age. Being at the Bartons also meant you reached the halfway point and you were two weeks closer to your mom being home. You missed her so much. Almost every night, you would speak with her on the phone and if she couldn’t she would send you a text goodnight. You were counting down the days but until then you were having fun with Lila, Cooper, and Nate. You played video games with the eldest, had sleepovers with Lila, and put up with Nate’s crazy games of make-believe. When Kate would come to visit, you would join the archers in the makeshift training area Clint built. But your favorite was driving the four-wheeler, and exploring different parts of the property. Lila and Cooper showed you a fort they built, that not even their parents knew about.
However, Yelena refused to meet you. You caught Kate a few times on the phone with her talking about you. The archer would give you a sorry smile and walk away continuing the conversation. She was desperate to get to know you through other people but refused to meet you. It hurt more than you wanted it to.
*
“You’re going to be gone for another month,” you said, pacing the length of the porch. Your mom sighed.
“Something came up and it’s going to take a little bit longer to clean it up,” you did not like the sound of that. “And I won’t be able to call you as much.” That stopped you from pacing.
“Mom, what’s going on?”
“You know I can’t tell you that,” you sat down on the steps and played with the locket around your neck.
“Right,” you sighed. It aspect of her job was so frustrating. “And your being safe.”
“Yes I am,” you heard shuffling on the other end. She must be lying down. “Just a few bumps and bruises. Enough about me, come on tell me about everything you are doing in Iowa. Are you giving Clint a hard time?” You giggled.
“Always.” Once you were done on the phone, you stayed outside and took the photo out of your pocket. “I’m scared,” you confessed to the photo. “I need her to come home, okay? Please keep her safe.” You heard the front door open but you didn’t bother to turn around to see who it was.
“How are you doing, sweetheart?” Laura asked, sitting down next to you. You rested your head on her shoulder.
“I want her to come home,” the mother of three sighed, wrapping her arm around you and kissing the top of your head.
“I know you do,” she said. “She’ll be home soon.”
Limited contact missions were your less favorite. You would send her good morning and good night texts, and texts throughout the day but she wouldn’t respond for a day or 2 after. You never knew when she was going to respond, it was maddening. The Bartons knew you were upset and they tried to keep you busy - fishing, swimming in the pond, archery practice, and day trips to the nearby town. It was fun but it wasn’t helping the ache you felt in your chest and a nagging worry that grew at the base of your neck. For a week, there was no response to your never-ending stream of texts and your worry only grew.
*
You were in the kitchen, getting an afternoon snack when the house shook. It was the tale sign of a plane visiting the farm. Dropping the apple, you ran to the front. By the time you made it outside, a ramp was lowered and Clint and Laura were waiting to see who would exist. “Hey,” Cooper said, running over to you from the barn. “Is your mom back?” He asked.
“I don’t know,” you heard the front door open.
“Whose here?” Lila questioned. On cue, you watched Nick and your grandmother descend the ramp. Where was your mom? Where was she? You saw Nick speak with Clint and the archer kept glancing over to you, his hand rubbing his face.
“No,” you whispered. “Get off the jet.” You pleaded. “Get off.” But no one else came off. The group of adults began to walk back to the house. Not again. You couldn’t go through this again. The world began to spin around you. You needed to get out of here, you needed to run. So you did. Sprinting towards the barn, you jumped one of the four-wheelers that was left out. The sound of the engine roaring to life drowned out the call of your name. You began to ride, past the pound and into the woods. You were half tempted to never get off because as soon as you would reality would set in. The hard, soul-crushing reality that your mom broke her promise.
You stopped at Lila and Cooper’s fort. Your legs barely could hold you up as you got off the four-wheeler and collapsed into the shelter. No tears fell. Even though you wanted to scream and cry and plead for the universe to give her back. But you were numb. So numb. Why did this keep happening to you? Was it you? Were you to blame for all this death and misery? You were the common denominator for everything; your biological parents left, and Natasha and Maria left. Who was next?
*
“Shit,” her father said, coming to a stop next to Lila. He ran his hand over his face but Lila was more focused on her distraught friend ride off.
“Where is she going?” Lila assumed the woman was your grandmother. She heard you talking to her on the phone.
“We know where she’s going,” We do? Lila thought. “Come on,” he grabbed Lila by her hand and dragged her to the other four-wheeler. Cooper jumped on first and handed her the helmet.
“Cooper,” Lila whispered. “Is Aunt Maria-”
“I don’t know,” he sighed. “God, I hope not. Hold on tight.”
*
You heard the sound of the other four-wheeler turn off and two sets of footsteps approaching the fort. “Mind if we join you?” Lila asked. You didn’t want them to be here. You came out here because you wanted to be alone. They took your silence as an invitation to join, Lila sat next to you and Cooper sat in front of you.
“Dad is going to give you a hard time about riding without a helmet.” Cooper joked. On any other day, it would have made you laugh or smile but you stared down at your lap. Their voices became white noise. You knew they were trying to get you to talk but you couldn’t. You were so angry and sad and scared. There were so many emotions swirling inside you didn’t know which one to focus on.
“You could be a Barton,” Lila said. “And you can come live with us.”
“No,” you finally spoke. “What if I join your family and something happens to your parents?” You looked up at them. “I’m cursed. My biological parents left me, Natasha left me, Maria left me,” finally the tears began to fall, “Everyone leaves me.” You sobbed. Lila pulled you in a hug. You wanted to push against her, scream at her to let you go but you didn’t have the energy to fight her. Instead, you slumped against her and you heard Cooper sit down next to you. He brought you and Lila into a hug.
“It’s going to be okay,” he promised. “You’ll find your place whether it be here or somewhere else.” You weren’t sure if you believed him.
*
“How is she?” Clint asked his wife when she entered the dining room. The plate she brought up with her wasn’t in her hand anymore so he saw that as a good sign. Laura sighed.
“I didn’t get to talk to her,” she sat down next to Clint. A bottle of whiskey was already open and being passed around the three adults. “Cooper is standing guard,” she poured herself a drink. “According to him, she doesn’t want to talk to anyone.” Clint rubbed his head, letting out a sigh of his own.
“What’s going to happen to her?” Elizabeth asked. The archer had only spoken to her a few times on the phone to organize pickups and drop-offs. They never met in person. Clint hated that Maria’s death was the reason they had to meet. It seemed unreal that Maria was gone. For the longest time, she seemed untouchable, unkillable. Life appeared to have other plans. He took a sip of his drink.
“Romanoff and Hill wrote in their will that Clint and Laura were her godparents,” Fury said. “They left it up to the three of you to decide what is best for her.” There was a rage building inside Clint as he stared at Fury. The man ran to space as soon as the funeral was over and was never heard from again. Hell, Maria thought he was dead for how many calls he ignored. Now the man was back and another one of Clint’s closest friends was dead, leaving behind a daughter who lost so much.
“I can take her,” Elizabeth said. “You already have a full house.”
“But it could be good to be around kids her age,” Laura countered. “We are more than happy to keep here.”
“She doesn’t want to go with any of you,” the group turned to see Cooper walking into the kitchen to clean off the dirty dish.
“What do you mean, son?” Clint asked.
“She doesn’t want to be a Barton or live with anyone. She thinks she’s cursed. That if she joins another family something bad will happen to them.” Clint’s heart broke for you. It was so unfair the cards that life had dealt you. You’ve been incredibly strong but how much more could you take?
“What does she want?” Fury asked. Cooper scuffed, crossing his arms as he sent daggers to the most powerful person in this room.
“Cooper,” Clint warned but his son ignored him.
“Did you just ask that?” He asked, walking over to the table. “She wants her mom’s back. But that’s not possible, is it sir?”
*
The house was once again quiet. Elizabeth was staying at a hotel in town until they figured out what to do next. Fury on the other hand took off, not answering where he was headed off to. Clint sat on the couch, a picture of him, Maria, Natasha, and Laura in his hand. It was back in their SHIELD days. They were so young then. Unaware of what life was going to throw at them. Laura sat down next to him, the archer wrapped his free arm around her shoulders. “How are you doing?” She asked.
“Tired of losing people,” he admitted. “I know we signed up for this but it’s so hard.” Laura hummed, resting her head on his shoulder. “I keep thinking it could have been me.”
“But it wasn’t.” No, it wasn’t him at the bottom of Vormir or meeting his end in a foreign country. He even escaped death from a Black Widow assassin. A knock on the door pulled him out of his thoughts. “Are you expecting someone?” Laura whispered, sitting up. Clint shook his head, putting his finger to his lips, and stood up. He grabbed a pistol that he kept in a nearby drawer. Guns weren’t his preferred weapon but his bow wasn’t available. Unlocking the safety, he opened the door.
“Clint Barton,” Yelena smirked. “Are you going to shoot me? After everything we’ve been through.”
“Yelena,” the archer said slowly. He blinked at the blonde in front of him. “What are you doing here?”
“To see my niece,” she simply said. “Where is she?” Yelena walked past him, bumping her shoulder against his. Clint put the safety back on and closed the door.
“Time out,” he set the pistol down as Yelena waved at Laura. “You can’t just barge in here like you own the place and demand to see her.”
“And why is that?” Yelena asked, turning to face him. He could see her clearer now. The Black Widow was wearing her white suit, she must have just returned from a mission. He knew she wasn’t working for Valentina anymore.
“Because you refused to see her for the past few months when she desperately wanted to meet you,” he was trying to keep his voice quiet, not wanting to wake the rest of the house. But he saw the hope leave your eyes every time Kate joined them at the farm without Yelena.
“What has changed?” Laura asked. The blonde looked down at her feet. He could see the guilt eating up at her.
“I wasn’t ready to meet her,” Yelena admitted. “And now she’s lost someone else.” She looked up at Clint. “We both know how uncertain this life is. I’ve wasted enough time.”
“You have.”
“We can’t guarantee she’ll talk to you,” Laura said. “She refused to talk to anyone besides our kids.”
“Thank you,” Yelena sighed. “I appreciate it.”
*
When the door opened, you pulled your eyes away from the Polaroid and locket. “Oh,” Laura said with a smile. “I wasn’t expecting you to be awake.” You weren’t sure how to tell that you couldn’t fall asleep. Every time you closed your eyes, you saw them die over and over again. “There is someone that wants to meet you downstairs.” You refused to move. She sighed and walked over to, sitting on the edge of the bed. “You don’t have to talk to us or your grandmother or even Fury but you need to talk to someone about what you are feeling,” you had nothing to say, everything hurt. But you were curious about who was here.
“Who is it?” You finally spoke. Your voice sounded foreign to you. Laura smiled.
“Your aunt.”
Every step you took your heart was thudding against your ribs. The mixture of grief and nervousness was making you sick to your stomach. Once you entered the living room with Laura by your side, Clint and your aunt stood up from the couch. You stared at the blonde. For the longest time, you created an image in your head of what the blonde was like through stories your mama told you and the way the Bartons and Kate talked about her. As you stared at the woman in front of you, she seemed nervous - a stark contrast to the bad-ass assassin you imagined. “Hi,” her accent was deep.
“Why are you here?” You asked. Your blunt question took the room by surprise. The couple excused themselves, saying that they wanted to give you some space. When they left, you joined Yelena on the couch. But you looked forward, unable to look at her anymore. “Mama told me so many stories about you and I was so excited to meet you. I don’t understand why it took my mom dying,” your voice cracked but you refused to cry in front of her. “For you to come and see me.” The blonde sighed, leaning back into the couch.
“I wasn’t good enough,” she admitted. “You needed someone better, someone that was good.” You glanced at her. She had a far-off look in her eyes. You’ve seen that look before when your mama woke up from a nightmare or had a particularly bad day. You saw a lot of her in Yelena even though they weren’t related by blood.
“Are you good now?” You asked.
“I’m not sure but you need me,” you chuckled and rolled your eyes.
“I don’t need anyone,” you said. “I’m going to be fine on my own,” it was Yelena’s turn to laugh.
“So that’s your plan. You are going to set off by yourself and ignore everyone who loves you. What are you like 10?” Your jaw clenched. “I know exactly what you are doing. You are going to push and push everyone away so you don’t feel this pain again. It won’t work,” you refused to speak so she continued, “That pain will only hurt more.”
“What do you expect me to do?” You snapped, jumping to your feet, and looked at her. “It’s like I was hit by a train, I ran out of words. So tell me how my life goes on with them gone?” You asked, pounding your fist against your chest. “It’s like I’m sinking like a stone and I’m so afraid.” You whispered. Her green eyes softened in a way that your mama and mom would look at you. “Don’t look at me like that, please. I’m cursed.”
“Oh, milaya devushka (sweet girl),” Yelena whispered, catching you in her arms as your legs gave out. She gently rocked you, whispering Russian words in your ear.
“Stop it,” you pleaded. “Stop caring,” you weakly hit against her chest.
“That’s not happening,” you ended the hug but Yelena held onto your hands to keep you from running away. “You are not a curse,” she said it so adamantly that you almost believed her. “What happened to your mamas was not your fault. Unfortunately, they knew the risk when they signed up for this lifestyle. I am so sorry they were taken from you so soon,” you stared at your connected hands. They felt like your parents; warm and calloused.
“What am I supposed to do?” You asked.
“I don’t know but life goes on,” you looked up at her. “They made their choice. We have to live with it.” You weren’t the only one to lose someone. Yelena lost her sister. “I know your gut is telling you to run away and hide but you can not do that.”
“Where am I going to go then?” You loved staying with the Bartons and your grandmother but you knew it was temporary. At the end of the day, your mom would be there to pick you up. Now you weren’t sure where you belonged.
“Well,” Yelena slowly said. “You could come with me.” Her offer shocked you. “I could take you to meet my mama and papa or take you back to the city in Kate’s apartments with Lucky or to Ohio, or Canada, or Mexico. We could go anywhere. As long as you don’t run away.”
“Okay,” she seemed surprised by your sudden approval to drop everything you knew and live with her. You smiled. “What? Did you not expect me to take you up on your offer?”
" I wasn’t sure what was going to happen.”
“Natasha always said that she thought you and I would get along,” you told her. “She dreamed of getting a house for all of us. You, me, Maria, and her so we could all be together and safe,” you let go of one of her hands to wipe away your tears. “Maybe part of her dream can still come true.” Yelena nodded, her green eyes glossy with tears.
“Life goes on,” she repeated. You were experiencing deja vu when your mom told you the same thing. It was a weird feeling and couldn’t repeat it back. Instead, you smiled.
“Can we get a dog?” You asked. Yelena laughed.
“I have one but we can get another.” You were still afraid that another wave was going to knock you off your feet and no matter how hard you swam to the surface, no one was there to grab you. You knew Yelena was watching you intensely. A soft whistle broke the silence of the Barton house. You never thought you’d hear that whistle again. You smiled at your aunt and whistled back. They were both right no matter how many people you lost life unfortunately goes on.
_
Remember when we saw that Maria was going to be in secret invasion and we were all excited then they killed her in EP1. Still not over there but whatever! This will probably be the last part of this little AU unless someone requests one or I think of soething else lol

Lost memory
Tumblr media
Y/N: 4 years old ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV "Please, auntie Wanda, I want to see mommy" Y/N begs, hugging Wanda's legs tightly and looking up at her with the best puppy eyes she can do.
Y/N's been begging every single Avenger, one by one, to take her see her mommy. Natasha's last mission didn't go as planned and she got badly hurt. She even was in coma for the entire 3 weeks, but thankfully she's much better now.
Though there is one problem… Unfortunately, Natasha doesn't remember the last years of her life… more specifically, the last memory she has is from more than ten years ago when she escaped the Red room.
Y/N's been begging and crying everyday, wanting to see her mommy. She knows Natasha's here on the compound as she saw how Steve carried her mama to Bruce after the mission.
"Y/N/N" Wanda sighs, lifting Y/N up and sitting her on her hip. "Honey, I know you do, but your mommy needs to rest" She kisses the little girl's head, receiving a whine as Y/N buries her head into Wanda's neck.
"I want mommy" Y/N cries out into Wanda's neck, making Wanda sigh once again.
"I know, bubs, I know"
———
It took a few hours of begging, but Bruce and Doctor Cho agreed that they can't go on like this for much longer. Because the only one Natasha briefly remembers is Clint, he agreed that he'd be the one who tells the redhead about Y/N.
"How are you feeling?" Clint smiles at his best friend, sitting down on the bed.
"I'm fine, I don't know why I still have to be here" Natasha sighs, crossing her arms over chest. "Why are you here?"
"Can't I just come to see how's my friend doing?" Cling teases on which Natasha raises an eyebrow. "But yeah, I'm here to tell you something" He looks at the redhead, preparing himself to tell her about Y/N.
"Why are you looking at me like that? What is it? I feel like nothing can be worse than that I forgot the past 14 years of my life" Natasha sighs, waiting for Clint to speak.
"… We haven't really told you everything, Nat. There's something we left out, but we can't keep that from you anymore" Clint starts. "… You saved a little girl on a mission 3 years ago… She's spent here for about… 2 months and you decided to adopt her. She's 4 now and she's been begging us to take her to you. I know it's-"
"Wait. Wait. I adopted a child? Me?" Natasha asks shocked, not believing anything from what Clint has just said.
"Yeah, I-"
"Mama! Mama!" Y/N bursts into the room, Wanda running after her.
"I'm sorry, I turned around for 2 seconds and she was gone" Wanda explains with a sigh.
"Mama, I missed you!" The tiny girl says, attempting to climb the bed. "Mama" A whine escapes Y/N's lips after another failed attempt of climbing the bed as it's too high for her, holding her arms up for Natasha who's just staring at her shocked.
Wanda's quick to lift Y/N up, sitting her on her hip and holding her tightly as Y/N's trying to wiggle out of her arms and reaching her tiny arms for Natasha.
"N-no, no, I can't" Natasha panics, shaking her head.
"Calm down, Nat" Clint moves closer, trying to comfort his best friend. "Take her out, Wanda" He orders, Wanda nodding immediately.
"Want mommy! Mama!" Y/N cries loudly, kicking her legs and trying to wiggle out of Wanda's arms while the witch is carrying her out of the room again.
———
A few days have passed since Natasha found out about Y/N and she still doesn't know how to feel about that. And now when she's finally allowed to leave the bed and get back to normal life, it seems even scarier.
Y/N, on the other hand, has been crying nonstop through the days. She just wants her mommy and everyone's been keeping her away again.
"Mama!" Y/N grins once she sees Natasha step into the kitchen, immediately jumping off of the chair and running to the redhead, crashing her little body into Natasha's legs.
"Oh, hi" Natasha says akwardly, carefully peeling the little girl off of herself.
It's not like she wouldn't want a child, but she just doesn't know how to take care of one. After all, she's never taken care of a child before… well, she doesn't remember it… so it's understandable that she's scared of it.
"Mama, I drew you lots of pictures. I'm gonna show you" Y/N informs, already running away for her drawings which makes Natasha let out a sigh of relief and she quickly makes herself something for breakfast.
"Hey, hm. You're Wanda, right?" Natasha asks, sitting down opposite the brunette who smiles and nods in response, so Natasha takes a deep breath before speaking again. "Clint told me you were the one who mostly took care of Y/N. I just… I just wanted to ask you if you could maybe take care of her for a bit more? At least a few more days please?" She asks, hoping to get a yes from the witch.
"Oh, of course. Y/N's such a sweetheart. If you need any help with her, I'll be happy to help you" Wanda smiles warmly on which Natasha lets out a sigh of relief, though the tiny footsteps that are approaching stress her out immediately.
"Look, mama! I have so many pictures for you!" Y/N informs, crawling on Natasha's lap which only makes Natasha panic. She has no idea how to hold the little girl, scared that if she wrapped her arms around her, her hold could be too strong and she'd hurt her. "This is you and me playing soccer, mama!" Y/N grins, pointing at the two figures on her picture before looking up at Natasha who only hums in response and gives the tiny girl an akward smile. "And this is us building a snowman!"
Of course Wanda senses Natasha's discomfort and calls her little niece to come sit back to her and to finish her breakfast which she's been eating before Natasha came in. Natasha mouths a 'thank you', shooting Wanda a smile before quickly finishing her own breakfast, disappearing into the gym without Y/N noticing.
"Where did mommy go, auntie Wanda?" Y/N asks after a while, looking around to find her mother.
"She needs to rest a lot, honey. We should leave her alone for a little bit" Wanda says with a sigh, already knowing this won't satisfy the tiny one.
Y/N pouts, jumping off of her chair, taking her drawings and running away, ignoring Wanda who's calling after her. She hasn't seen her mommy for weeks, she just wants to be with her. Why nobody understands?
The little girl enters Natasha's bedroom only to find it empty. There are ony two more places on the compound Natasha could be, so Y/N decides to check.
After not finding her mother in her office, Y/N ends up in the gym, smiling when she sees Natasha there.
"Mommy, you forgot the pictures!" Y/N informs, running to Natasha with her arms up. "Up! Mama! Up! Please!" The tiny girl pleads, jumping up and down in front of the redhead.
"Y/N, I… just put those drawings on the bench over there. I'll take them later, yeah?" Natasha says, trying her best to not hurt the little one's feelings.
Y/N nods, running away to put her drawings on the bench like Natasha wanted and then running back to her mama.
"Mommy, up please" Y/N requests, pulling out her best puppy eyes in hope to get some cuddles from the redhead.
"I'm sorry, Y/N. I can't" Natasha nearly whispers, hoping the little girl would just go away.
"But mama please. I want some cuddles" Y/N repeats again, tears filling her little eyes.
"Y/N, I said no. Please go away" Natasha sighs, slowly losing her patience as the little child is still standing in front of her with her arms up.
"Mama, please" Y/N pleads.
"What is so hard to understand? I said no. Go away" Natasha orders sternly, her voice raised a little bit which makes Y/N run away and cry loudly.
Natasha lets out a sigh after Y/N's cries die down, squeezing her eyes shut. She didn't want to make Y/N cry.
About an hour later Natasha leaves the gym, picking up the drawings from Y/N on the way. She throws them on her bed as soon as she enters her room, deciding to look at them after a shower. She really feels bad for making the tiny one cry.
Fresh out of the shower Natasha sits on her bed, taking all of the papers Y/N gave her and looking at all of them. She can't help the smile that forms on her face while looking at those drawings.
She spots a few more pictures hanging her closet, so she stands up and goes to look. She hasn't noticed them before as Clint only showed her where her room is this morning.
Now feeling even worse Natasha walks around the compound with hope to find the little girl somewhere. And after what feels like stepping into 100 different rooms Natasha finally finds the tiny girl in what seems to be her bedroom, laying on her bed and cuddling to her teddy bear while sobbing.
"Hi there" Natasha says quietly, sitting down on the bed on which Y/N just turns around and buries her head into her pillow. "Can we talk?" "Hm-hm" Y/N shakes her head.
"… Are you mad at me?" Natasha asks, gently placing her hand on Y/N's back and giving it a rub.
"Yes, because you're being mean and don't want to give me cuddles" Y/N mumbles out with a pout, finally looking at her mother with her puffy eyes.
"Y/N, I… I'm sorry, okay? I didn't want to be mean to you, but I just don't remember you" Natasha sighs, tears forming in Y/N's eyes again at the not very nice tone Natasha used. "No, please don't cry. I'm sorry"
"But I want you to give me lots of cuddles and be nice to me, because you're my mama" Y/N cries out, burying her head into her pillow again which makes Natasha think about whether should she leave or not. She's never been in a situation like this. What should she do?
"I'm sorry, please just stop crying" Deciding to stay, Natasha desperately tries to calm down the little girl somehow, but rubbing her back just doesn't seem to be enough.
Though Y/N's tears don't stop. She just wants more comfort from her mommy, so she crawls over to Natasha, sitting on her lap, wrapping her tiny arms around her and burying her face into her mother's chest.
"I… okay" Natasha carefully wraps her arms around the tiny girl which finally makes Y/N calm down and the redhead smile as Y/N's hug brings her this really nice feeling she doesn't remember feeling before.
"Mama?" Y/N questions, lifting her head to look at Natasha who hums in response, smiling a little bit. "Did you look at my pictures?" She continues, finally being in her mommy's arms making her forget everything that happened just a few minutes ago on which Natasha lets out a chuckle.
"I did, they're very pretty, sweetheart" Natasha tells the tiny one, receiving a huge smile from the little girl before she cuddles up to her, making Natasha smile.
It will surely take a while until Natasha learns how to take care of Y/N and it will surely be hard, but now the redhead knows she wants to try and be a mother to the tiny girl. And there was only one thing that made her realize… a hug from her little girl.

Mama will always protect you.
Summary: You are the daughter of Natasha Romanoff and Dreykov wanted you. After saving you and Yelena, she struggles with you having a flashback.
Type: angst with a little fluff
Age: 11 then 12
Triggers: Red Room, torture, mentions of blood, panic attacks, flashbacks, meltdown, screaming.
Tumblr media
————————————————
You sat against the wall of the cell you had been kept in for the last 6 months. Your head was pounding and you could feel the blood pooling in your lap from the newest broken nose. You were taken by the red room as “payback” from your mother getting the two of you out of there.
A loud bang and a vicious laugh could be heard as you slowly sat up wiping the blood from your nose to see Dreykov. He was holding a laptop which he sat on the bed opposite you and flipped the screen up revealing your mother, uncle clint, aunt laura and aunt wanda staring at you with wide eyes.
“Mama…” You croaked out with a crooked smile. “Hi…”
“Oh detka…” Your mom said, voice hoarse with tears before the two of you snapped your heads towards Dreykov who chuckled.
“My best widow. Ruined by love.” He said looking at Nat who was rough. Her hair was in a messy bun, her eyes were hollow, she looked pale.
“Mama… take care-“ You were interrupted by a coughing fit, you pulled your hand back revealing a small pool of blood in your palm. “Take care of yourself. Please…” You looked up at her with wide eyes. “Aunt laura… don’t let her-“
“I know baby. I won’t.” Laura interrupted you in a sad voice. You felt a slap on your cheek, hearing your mother growl slightly before you looked up at the man who you despised.
“Love is-“
“For children.” You spat, a russian accent showing in your voice. “я не идиот.” You glared at the man with a look your mom didn’t recognize.
(i’m not an idiot)
“Don’t fail the next mission Widow.” He spat back slamming the laptop shut and turning out of the cell slamming the gate closed.
—————————
It was another 6 months before your family was finally able to track you, you had been trained as a widow again, Yelena being by your side, neither of you knowing who the other was. When your family officially took down the red room, they were able to save both you and the blonde.
You were both still under the serum so had to be cuffed. You didn’t even recognize your own mother. On the quinjet, Yelena pulled a serum out from her pocket and sprayed the two of you making everyone panic momentarily before you looked around confused.
“как я сюда попал?” You questioned before finally landing your eyes on Yelena and a smile grew on your face. “Yelena!” You cheered throwing yourself into her arms, making the older woman run your back hugging you.
(How did i get here?)
You heard someone shift around and immediately sat up straight, your head hanging down making Yelena take your hand gently. “It’s okay y/n/n. It’s just my sestra. She’s here to save us…”
You looked up slightly through your eyelashes glancing at the blonde before your eyes shifted over to a redhead sitting in front of you. Your eyes widened and a grin plastered itself on your face. “MAMA!”
You threw your body into hers, her arms instantly wrapping around you, one hand instantly cradling the back of your head, the other hand rubbing circles on your back. “Ох моя любовь.” She muttered into your ear. “Мама извини, что так долго.”
(“oh my love” “mama is sorry it took so long”)
“No it’s okay mama… you saved me… and Lena!” You pulled back with a smile on your face as tears run down it. She covered your face in kisses with a smile.
“I did baby…” She smiled and looked over at Yelena who had a confused look on her face. “Yelena… I know you kept her safe for a year but I want you to officially meet my daughter…”
“Wait… Lena is my aunt…? This is aunt yelena?” You asked looking back at your mom. “That explains why i was so attached to you…” You muttered looking at Yelena.
“Wow…” Yelena muttered looking between the two of you. “How have I not noticed the similarities?”
“Mama… is- is he gone…?” You turned looking at her, no emotions in your face.
Natasha studied your face, noticing all the new scars and the lack of emotions. “Detka… how are you feeling?”
Your face fell completely flat as you pulled away from her sitting up straight. Yelena quickly pulled your hands into hers.
“It’s not him. It’s your mama.” Natasha noticed your breathing had quickened and your eyes haze over. “Come on. I can’t help her!”
“I can. She’s having a panic attack.” Natasha jumped in, Laura jumping up as well. You were pulled into the redheads arms and a blanket was being placed over your head. A soft humming was heard and before Yelena knew it, you had settled down and were clinging to her shirt. “You’re okay malyshka. Mamas got you. I am never letting you go again.”
“Don’t! don’t say that! you can’t promise that!” You wailed burying into her neck more. “Mama you can’t keep that promise but i want you to stay! I don’t wanna go back! Please don’t make me go back!”
You yelled now hitting her chest with your fists. You flailed out of her arms screaming falling to the floor as you continued to scream. They couldn’t blame you. You were only 12. “I don’t like him! I hate him! I want my mama! I want mama!!! Take me back to my mama!!! MAMA!!!”
Natasha sat frozen in her seat as she stared at you, unsure what to do. Her green eyes were wide as you threw yourself around. Laura and Wanda both instantly jumped into action. Laura pulled your flailing body into hers and Wanda put soft memories into your head. You calmed down and your arms wrapped around her neck as your screams turned into sobs. You inhaled the familiar scent of your aunt and your sobs turned into hiccups. “Auntie Laura… want mama… i want mama…”
“Mama is right there peanut… mama is here safe just like you…” You sniffled clinging to her shirt, your head slowly turning to face the direction of your mama. You locked eyes with her and hiccuped. “See? Right there peanut. Mama is right there.”
“Mama…” You mumbled the growing need to throw yourself into her arms physically hurting you but unsure if she wants you too. A year of torture from Dreykov telling you that she doesn’t care clearly beating the 11 years of her showing unconditional love.
Natasha let out a sob and Laura instantly passed your shaking frame to her and the redhead wrapped her arms around you again. “My love… oh my sweet baby… Mama is here. I will protect you. Mama will always protect you.”

Nats daughter is going on her first mission and it doesn't go well. She's hurt and lost somewhere until Nat finds her and brings her back home
Send Out An Army
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1.4K
————
Natasha was beside herself with worry. Her one and only baby girl off on her first solo mission. You’d been arguing with her for weeks, trying to convince her you were ready. It was only natural that she was worried but you had gone through the academy training just like everyone else. Natasha finally agreed to let you go when she sat in on your training session with Steve and you managed to knock him on his ass three times. You left a few hours ago and so far Nat had tried training, reading and even resorted to doing her paperwork to keep her distracted. She was in her office now, trying her best to keep her eyes off the clock.
It was quiet in Natasha’s office, so the sound of her mobile ringing took her by surprise. An unknown number appeared on the screen so Nat was skeptical about answering. She brought the phone up to her ear whispering a hello and listening to the crackle coming from the other end. “Hello?” Natasha asked again, being met with the same silence. She was about to hang up when a small voice called through “mama?” It whispered. “Y/n?” Natasha said, pulling the phone back up to her ear “baby are you okay?” She asked with a panicked voice. “Hurts mommy” you mumbled “what hurts baby? What’s happened where are you?” Natasha frantically asked as she made her way to find Tony and the rest of the team. “Lost” you coughed through the phone.
Natasha came bounding down the stairs where she met Clint and Steve in the kitchen. “Natasha?” Clint said, seeing the fear in his best friends eyes. “Y/n baby talk to me, where are you? What hurts?” The redhead said as she dragged the boys down the hall with her. “I don’t know mama” you cried as Natasha switched her phone to loud speaker “baby have you activated your tracker?” Your mom asked as Clint filled Tony in best he could of the situation. “Lost it. I’m scared mommy” you mumbled. “It’s alright sweetie we’re gonna find you I promise” Natasha cooed down the phone. “Stark where is she?” Steve asked as he joined Tony at the computers. “I’m not sure, somewhere in Bulgaria” he said. “How can you not know where?” Steve said frantically “it’s not standard procedure only Fury knows the exact location” Tony said, trying his best to hack into S.H.I.E.L.Ds files as quickly as possible. “Then call Fury!” Clint shouted.
You began coughing loudly over the phone “mommy” you cried. “It’s okay baby girl take some deep breaths for me alright we’re gonna find you” Natasha said as calmly as she could. Tony continued to scan the files as Steve headed off to gather the rest of the team and prepare the quinjet. “Mm tired” you said through the phone “y/n I need you to stay awake for me okay sweetheart” Natasha said, fighting back her tears. “Y/n?” She questioned when you failed to answer her “y/b baby talk to me” she pleaded. “Tony find her now!” Clint shouted, taking the phone from Nats hand “y/n its uncle Clint, can you tell me where you are? What’s around you bug?” He asked, pleading for you to respond. The silence was deafening as the three waited desperately for your voice to come back through the phone. “She’s in Yambol!” Tony cheered as he finally cracked your location “okay Steve’s on the jet let’s go” Clint said. “She’s dead I know she is” Natasha cried “hey don’t go there yet, we’re gonna find her” Clint comforted as he guided the redhead to the jet.

It felt like weeks you had been lying in the grass, the sharp pain had long ago turned into a dull ache and you were struggling to keep your eyes open. Your cries fell into the open space and you fought to keep your breath, the warm pool of blood being the only thing keeping away the cold. “Mom” you whined into the empty space, pleading for your mother to come and find you. You held on for as long as you could until your eyes finally fluttered closed. In your last consciousness your ears began to ring, sounding like a small crunch of leaves along the ground. Your mind started playing tricks on you, the sound of your mom calling echoing through your head.
Your shoulders began to shake and a soft hand against your cheek pulled you back into reality. “Y/n come on open your eyes baby” a familiar voice called. “Mommy?” You mumbled as you pealed open your eyes “I’m here sweetie, mamas got you” Natasha cooed as she lent over you protectively. “You found me” you smiled up at your mom “yeah we did baby” Nat said as she gently stroked your hair “we?” You sleepily asked. “Hey kid” Clint said as he came to your side and began tending to the open wound on your abdomen “we’re gonna get you home alright” he said. You groaned as your uncle pressed down on your injury, quietly crying out in pain. “Shhh sweet girl it’s ok, you’re okay now” Natasha comforted you “thought I was gonna die mama” you weakly said.
Natasha lent her body down beside yours to give you a tight hug, avoiding your wound “oh my baby I’m so sorry” she said. “I should never have let you come this is all my fault” your mom cried. You slowly reached up your hand to wipe away your mamas tears “no mommy” you whispered “you saved me” Natasha took your hand in hers and gently kissed it. You cried out again as Clint pressed down on your abdomen “sorry kiddo” he empathised “so tired” you groaned, eyelids fluttering closed “no no come on sweetie keep your eyes open for us ok” Natasha pleaded “you’re gonna be alright baby we’re gonna get you home” your mom cooed. You tried to keep your eyes open but being back in your mamas arms you couldn’t help but bask in her comfort. Before long you lost the battle, falling into unconsciousness. “we need to get her to the jet” Clint said to Natasha.
~~~~~
You felt a gentle scratch along your scalp as you began to wake up, unsure of where you were and almost who you were, until you opened your eyes. “Hey baby girl” Natasha said as she rose to her feet by your side. Her red hair was messy with loose pieces falling by her face, the bags under her eyes were a give away as to how long you had been out. “Mommy” you croaked out “you look tired” you said. Natasha let out a small laugh as a stray tear fell from her eye “oh y/n, I’m okay I promise, you’re the one who needs looking after right now” she said “we look after each other mama” you smiled, attempting to sit up but stopping as a sharp pain shot through your abdomen, reminding you off why you were in the infirmary. You sighed loudly as Natasha softly took a hold of you “easy baby, just lie back ok” she said as she helped you to lay back down “you get some rest ok, we’ll talk later when you’re properly awake” your mom said as she placed a soft kiss on your forehead.
It was a few hours later when you woke up again, your mom still sitting by your side. “There’s my girl” Natasha said “look who’s here to see you” she said as she pointed to the man on the other side of your bed. “Uncle Clint” you smiled “thanks…for what you did” you said sadly “hey none of that” Clint said as he saw your eyes well up “don’t you dare go blaming yourself kiddo, missions go wrong, whatever happened wasn’t your fault” he said. “It was” you cried “what did happen sweetie?” Your mom asked. “The brief said the facility was abandoned, but when I got there it was crawling with agents” you began, your mom placed a comforting hand over your own. “I set off the alarm trying to get in through the back door, I tried to get away and I thought I’d managed but when I stopped in the woods an agent came up behind me. I didn’t think he had any weapons so I fought him without mine but he pulled out a knife. I fell down when he cut me and I thought he was gonna kill me but they called him back to the facility” you sobbed.
Natasha felt the anger rise in her chest “the brief was wrong?” She asked “imma kill Fury” she said, answering her own question. “Mommy don’t go” you called after her as she headed for the door. “I’ll go, you stay here” Clint said as he guided Natasha back over to your bed “you’re not as scary as me” she giggled as she sat back down with you “no” Clint said “but the least I can do is warn Fury of angry mama Nat” he said as he pulled the door closed. Your mom turned her full attention back to you as she sat next to you on the bed “I’m here baby girl” she cooed “it wasn’t your fault ok” she said as she brushed your hair away from your face. You dropped your gaze, still feeling guilty despite what Natasha said. “Hey” your mom said as she lifted up your chin “I am so proud of you” she said “why? I failed” you whimpered. “I’m not talking about the mission, I’m proud of you y/n” Natasha said, leaving a soft kiss on your hairline.
“How did you find me?” You sleepily asked “Tony hacked into S.H.I.E.L.Ds data base” Natasha said. “He did?” You questioned “yeah he did” Nat answered “everyone was so worried “I’ve never seen Bruce move so fast” your mom giggled. You let out a small laugh at the thought. “I didn’t think they’d all come” you said “I knew you’d find me mama but I didn’t think everyone else would come to get me” you mumbled, almost falling asleep again. “They’re your family baby, of course they’d come” your mom cooed “you know they care about you right?” Natasha asked “I know” you smiled up at her “you’ve got a whole army of love and protection behind you y/n, don’t ever forget that” Nat said as she tucked you up in your baby blanket, she made sure you had it the second the team brought you to the medical bay. “Rest up okay baby” your mom cooed. “Can you read to me mommy? Please?” You asked with half closed eyes. “You never have to ask twice sweetie” Natasha said as she pulled your book from her bag, another essential she’d grabbed along with your blanket. Her soft voice lulled you into a comfortable and deep sleep. The deepness with which she spoke her words causing a gentle hum throughout the room. Your mom continued to read long after you had fallen asleep, comforting both you and herself.
