this is non comic or OSP related, so sorry if i'm overstepping, but do you have any advice for someone that wants to move/exercise more but is utterly unmotivated?(not exercise for muscles, just movement for the sake of movement)
Honestly? Think of something physically demanding you want to be able to do. Stuff like hiking and/or climbing rough terrain, running free with the wind in your hair, swordfighting, stunt falls, sick metal gear combat rolls - anything that has ever made you sit up and think "I wish I could do that!" Once you reframe movement and exercise as a way to make your body capable of more fun things, it becomes a lot easier to stay motivated.

Love* coming home from the gym and enjoying the pump in the window reflection, and my dad giving me the whole "make sure you don't get too big because men are visual creatures and don't like that bc it's not feminine"
sir.
1. Wuh?? I didn't think people actually said this shit in real life!!
2. If they're actively not going to be attracted to me at my happiest and healthiest, why would I want them?? Even if I wanted to date men, Why would I want to date those that won't like me if I'm bigger, stronger, etc? Surely the opinion that matters the most is MINE???
3. Bold of you to generalise all men like that
4. If I am feminine person. How is anything I look like or do not feminine. Riddle me that one.
4. Again. Why should I care? Genuinely.

I love cycling (going downhill at a ridiculous high speed feeling like I'm flying)
I hate cycling (going uphill at ridiculously slow speeds and wanting to throw up)

ok here are my eiffel questions
-do you think he ever played sports (and enjoyed it)
-had ever watched the show 'community' he kinda reminds me of a mix between abed and jeff and idk if you've seen it but it's interesting
-what kind of pet did he have a a a kid? he's giving me cat or lizard vibes idk
anyway love your blog tyy
aw, thank you! okay, in order:
oh, god, no. definitely not. eiffel is from a generation of nerd guys who made a point of defining themselves opposite to jocks, and he does not exercise on purpose. i doubt eiffel even watches sports that aren't like, motorsports. to get eiffel to enjoy exercise you've gotta trick him into it by giving it a counterculture image. i'm so sure he wanted to learn to do sick skateboard tricks as a teenager. he still wants to do sick skateboard tricks. but his coordination is terrible.
he has almost definitely seen community, but i have not, so i can't give any further opinion on that. but he's the right demographic.
i don't think he had a pet as a kid, but not for a lack of trying. eiffel is absolutely a dog person; he was a lonely kid, and i know he begged for a dog. and maybe his parents even promised him one, but it just never happened. i actually think eiffel is allergic to cats, just based on his general misfortune. guy with ailments. he just seems like the kind of guy cats would love to climb on while he sneezes horribly.

And for today's letter from Watson we have.
Tumblr media
- Holmes and our dear Doc deciding that there's not time to pick the Lock and just KNOCK DOWN THE DOOR
(let's assume that Watson used the good shoulder, he's not that reckless)
DIFFERENTLY from a certain Mr Sherlock Holmes who's always keen on inventing parkour a century early and/or just showing us that he's, deep down, just a cat in human form
Tumblr media
I can literally HEAR Watson sigh for a moment as Holmes just climbs on the roof.

convince me to go from doing my weightlifting routine once a week to going to the gym twice?
OK LISTEN. you WILL see more consistent results by going to the gym 2x week. not just in terms of strength gains but you'll probably notice that your recovery is going to be feel easier. also!! no idea why your current routine is like but by going 2x week you could be able to play a bit more with accessories (keeping the basic full body routine the same & doing different accessories on different days) and variety can be fun!

i feel like i need to preface this post with it is NEVER FUCKING OK to hurt ur kid etc etc.
anyway
some kids have never experienced pain and i think that negatively stunts their growth
like. ok. i teach aerial. there is no part of aerial that isnt at least a little uncomfortable or painful. most kids are like oof this kinda hurts but i can deal. and im like yeah! [alt version] might feel better or u could try [modification] if its bad but yeah it feels kinda hurty doesnt it? and thats fine! thats a kid expressing what their body is feeling, which is a mild amount of pain, and learning how to deal w it (either by pushing through, changing what theyre doing, or stopping) in a healthy way!
but SOME FUCKING KIDS. havent had a single goddamn papercut in their life. and it SHOWS. i show them something? owwwww this hurtssss i cant do this why does it hurtttt and im like. yeah it does hurt a bit doesnt it? you are sitting on a small metal bar after all :3 why dont you come down take a quick break and let someone else go? and they get off and are like acting as if they just broke their fuckin foot and its just bestieeeeeeee have you never tripped and fell have you never accidentally slammed a finger in the door have u never walked through thorns to get the juiciest berries.
i think kids need to have experience with pain so they can learn what is Uncomfortable what is Pain what is Sore etc. and sheltering kids to the point of them not being able to hang onto a bar for longer than like two seconds--not because they arent Strong enough but because it Hurts their Hands--is literally just setting them back in life.
kids are smart! they learn fast! let them be stupid and make mistakes and get hurt! theyll be smarter for it! idfk its just also kinda impossible for me as a teacher to work w a kid who wants to do all the cool stuff but cant deal w even the mildest of pain bc they havent been exposed to it.
