housemates // sero hanta moodboard + hc
i imagine you guys sort of just fell into living together because he was desperate to find someone to split rent with, and you were desperate to get out of your family's house.
he's respects your boundaries, he cleans up after himself (mostly), he actively includes you whenever he invites his friends over, and when they're not, he just wants your company. he's shy about it though- his go-to line is "look what i can do!" or "you wanna see something cool?" and he'll drag you outside to watch him climb a tree.
there would be a lot of routines and traditions that you grow into as you get to know each other. every now and then you would share a smoke on the fire escape to debrief about each other's days. you always set your shoes right next to each other's near the doorway. you have a communal piggy bank (you're saving up for a roadtrip). whoever cooks dinner, the other makes dessert. every few sundays you'll watch a movie together and have a sleepover on the couch- sometimes with friends, sometimes with just you two.
if you're having a hard day and need to recluse into your room, just know that his ass will be cleaning the whole house to make it a bit more breathable for you. and if it's him having a rough time, he'll come home to an invite to go get ice cream and terrorize downtown. you just know each other's love language like it's on the back of your hand.
it's the type of friendship where you two could easily fall for one another, but you don't pay any mind to it or force it to happen. the company is enough for you two- this sweet solitude of companionship.

Natasha Romanoff x Beefy!Reader*
18+ only, read at your own risk
Requested by anon: Can I request sub beefy reader with a dick and dom fem nat reader calls her mommy, nat had been teasing reader all day with revealing clothes soft touches and the casual bulge grab while they're out in public readers so needy n begs nat to just touch them but nat wants to wait til they're home. They finally get gome n nat haves her way with readers cock playing with the tip teasing them more til nat gets needy too and rides reader into oblivion
AN: Reader has a penis. No pronouns used.
(The bottoms better blow this up and not let me down.)
Your grip on Natasha’s waist tightens subtly, but it’s enough for her to notice and cluck her tongue at you warningly. She’s currently sitting on your lap while the two of you join the rest of the Avengers for a game of Monopoly, but you’re ready to throw all your money at the bank if it means getting to leave and go back to your room with your girlfriend.
She’s been teasing you all day and you don’t know how much longer you can stand it. Not that you really have a choice, but it’s frustrating enough that you’ve been hard for hours and there is no way you can normally function with basically no blood left in your brain.
“Nat,” you whine when she grinds down on you. “Can we go upstairs now?” you whisper.
“Wait until we finish this round,” she says, leaning forward to roll the dice and move her token around the board. You slump back moodily as Natasha pays rent to Steve for landing on his property. “All right, that’s enough stealing my money,” she announces, finally getting off your lap and grabbing your hand. You stand directly behind her, trying to hide your hard-on from the rest of your co-workers. “Anyone want to join us for dinner?”
“Dinner?” you squeak. Unless Natasha is talking about letting you eat her for dinner, the last place you want to go is a restaurant for a legitimate meal.
“All this board game playing made me hungry,” she says with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
“You two go ahead,” Clint says, and everyone else murmurs their agreement, sensing the unresolved tension.
“Perfect, come on, babe. I’ll drive.” Natasha drags you down to the garage. You don’t say anything when you get into the car, grumbling in your seat at being cheated out of your promise.
“Why are you acting so grumpy?” Natasha snaps suddenly.
“You said after we were done with the last round,” you respond.
“I said what?”
“That we could go upstairs.”
“No. I said to wait until we finish the last round. But I didn’t say what we were going to do,” she emphasizes and you huff at your lack of attention to the details. But can she really blame you? “If I don’t eat in the next thirty minutes, it’s going to be very bad for you. You can wait a little longer.”
“Fine.”
She takes you to a familiar Chinese restaurant, but you have no appetite for food. Natasha takes her time looking over the menu, despite her earlier statement that she was famished, and you’re pretty sure she’s doing it on purpose. She’s sitting next to you in the booth, her hand first resting on your knee and creeping up to your thigh.
She palms at your bulge between bites of fried rice, and you can hardly feed yourself with the distraction.
“Nat please,” you beg, struggling to keep your hips still. “Can we go home now?”
“I want dessert first.”
But there’s no dessert here, so she walks you down to the ice cream parlor next door. Your leg bounces anxiously as she orders a cone for herself, offering you a bite first but you decline. She licks teasingly at the ice cream, her tongue swirling up the white dessert in an achingly familiar manner that makes your cock throb harder in your pants.
You look away, afraid that you’re going to cum right in the shop. Natasha finishes her ice cream and finally, finally takes you back home.
She pushes you onto the bed, quickly undressing herself while you kick off your pants and yank off your shirt. When she climbs onto you, rocking her pussy against your abs, you moan and grab at her desperately.
“Mommy please, I need you so badly,” you say.
“Don’t touch me,” Natasha demands, slapping your hands back to your sides. “Or I’ll have to tie you up.” Which isn’t really a threat, but you do like having some autonomy in bed with her.
You lie back, looking down at your cock, which is fully erect and pulsing out a steady stream of pre-cum already. Natasha sits between your legs, eyeing you hungrily. She wraps her hand around your aching cock and the touch alone is enough to make you moan, but you bite your lip and keep your arms firmly by your side.
“Is this what you’ve been waiting for?” she asks, squeezing your tip every time her hand completes an upstroke.
“Yes, yes,” you pant.
“So you’d rather have my hand than my pussy?”
“Uh, no,” you stutter. While you love every part of Natasha and would never complain about what she offers, you do have your favorites. Her pussy would always reign supreme over her mouth and hand, but you knew than better than to say no to any of them.
Natasha stops stroking you, but her thumb continues to rub over your slit and you squirm helplessly on the bed, utterly desperate for her touch.
“I don’t know why I’m even rewarding you. You’ve been whiny and annoying all day,” she says, as if she doesn’t love your reactions to her. You suck in a breath when her whole hand wraps around you again, squeezing you at just the right spots to make your entire body tremble.
“I’m...I’m sorry,” you apologize.
“I don’t know if you deserve anything more than my hand tonight,” Natasha says, and you’re so distracted when she squeezes your tip that you don’t notice her other hand dive down between her legs and press against her own arousal.
“Please, please,” you beg. “I’ll do anything. I’ll let you do anything,” you say in hopes that she’ll have mercy on you tonight.
“Hmm. I’ll have to think about,” Natasha replies like she hasn’t already made up her mind. She spends a few more minutes teasing you until your entire cock is practically coated in your own pre-cum, the head a much darker shade as you near your release that Natasha won’t let you have.
“Nat,” you whimper again.
“Shut up.” She lets go off your cock and mounts you in one smooth move. You nearly cum right when her velvet pussy slides around you, but Natasha grabs onto your shoulders so tightly and pinches your skin that you’re too distracted by the momentary pain to finish.
“Thank you, thank you,” you say as you carefully hold onto her hips as she bounces on your dick wildly.
“This is for me, not you,” she reminds you, but you know she’ll let you get your release. Maybe just after hers, though.
You lean back into the pillows, panting, your abs clenching as you try to keep yourself under control. You watch your slick cock disappear into her tight heat over and over, listening to the filthy noises it creates. “Oh God, Nat,” you moan, throwing your head back and allowing her to use your body as she sees fit.
“Fuck, you still stretch me out so well,” she says, her nails digging into your chest as she forces you to lie flat. The entire bed bounces and moves, and you wouldn’t be surprised if you break the frame again tonight. Natasha is almost like a wild animal with the way she rides you, like she hasn’t fucked you in weeks.
“You can only cum after I do,” she demands, as she starts to clench around you harder and more sporadically.
“Okay,” you whimper, hoping that you’ll be able to keep your end of the deal when your body feels like it’s on fire.
“Fuck, fuck, FUCK!” Natasha screams as she comes undone on top of you, leaning back to brace herself on your muscular thighs as she gushes around you. You waste no time finishing yourself, jogging your hips up to empty your load into her.
She’s still panting as you lean up to kiss her in appreciation, but she shoves you back down, leaning forward to grab onto your biceps so she can keep you pinned on the mattress. Natasha rolls her hips aggressively, and your cock, now sensitive from your orgasm, is still inside of her.
“We’re done when I say we’re done,” she demands, and you can only whine as she uses you for the rest of the night.

YOU DESERVE SAFETY. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Theodore Nott had his suspicions.
You’d never told him about any of your past relationships, but some of the odd things you did helped him draw his own conclusions.
Like that one random Tuesday night, when you were making dinner together in the kitchen, just chatting and laughing like usual. Theo had finished washing the dishes and shook his hands dry while reaching for the hand towel hanging from the oven handle, when you violently flinched back.
He froze, looking at you with wide eyes. You’d just laughed and patted his shoulder, apologizing for startling him.
Or that one time Theo had been trying to organize some bank statements, and had innocuously asked you if you’d bought something from a certain store when he couldn’t remember having made the purchase himself. You immediately froze up at the question, staring with a deer-in-headlights expression. You had timidly apologized, looking meek and like you were playing dead, to protect yourself, Theo had realized.
Or that time when you were going to a group get-together at a friend’s house and assured him there’d be no other men there.
Or when you couldn’t find your house key before work and panicked.
“I’m working from home today anyways,” Theo had reassured confusedly. “I can just let you in when you get back. I’ll be here all day.”
“You won’t lock me out?” You had asked, genuinely bewildered.
Theo hadn’t known how to respond to that.
But when you had accidentally been decked in the mosh pit at a punk show and rushed home in hysterics, Theo opening the door at your frantic knocking and finding you in the middle of a panic attack, he knew he needed to find out the truth. While trying to calm you down from the attack, you accidentally called Theo the wrong name, pleading with him to not hurt you further.
Theodore’s lips thinned and the blood drained from his face as his suspicions were only solidified. “I’m not going to hurt you, Y/N. Did somebody use to hurt you?”
You had nodded shakily, still beside yourself with anxiety. Theodore skimmed his thumb across the knuckles of your hand, shushing you gently.
“It’s alright, darling. What’s the bastard’s name?”
You mumbled it quietly, your sobs slowing to just shuddering breaths. Theodore had nodded in response, making a mental note to kill the motherfucker at his earliest convenience.
He helped you up from your spot, collapsed on the floor in the entryway of your home, and led you over to the couch, where he hastily tucked a fluffy blanket around you and all but sprinted to the kitchen to make tea. He came back with a warm mug and an ice pack for you, sitting down on the couch near you—but not next to you, so that you wouldn’t feel trapped or boxed in.
You rolled your eyes, taking a sip of your tea before tugging him over to your spot, untucking part of the blanket so he could climb under it. Theodore wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest and sighing comfortably. He kissed the top of your head and whispered in your ear,
“I swear I’ll never lay a hand on you, darling. I promise.”

Cali's Kinktober: Day 09
Kinktober Masterlist aurum potestas est - "gold is power" Kyle "Gaz" Garrick x f!reader Kinks > prostitution, coercion, corruption Full tags on AO3 - MDNI - Read at your own risk. Warning: NONCON
You are hired by the FSB to plant a bug in Gaz’s coat pocket when he runs into you on the street. But he catches you in the act and drags you to his safehouse. As you realize that he plans to keep you as his prize, you wonder if this job was worth the money after all.
I think @cod-z left a comment about how much they enjoyed mean Gaz, so I took that idea a little too far.
They had known you were just hungry enough to say yes. You had seen them, those fucking Red wolves, lurking around Building D in your bloc apartments. They were bullying the kids who ran through the outdoor balconies, trying to climb on the roof to throw snowballs or to piss off the side onto unsuspecting pedestrians. And yes, they were little shits, but when you started to see them with black eyes and busted lips, you wondered if the FSB knew that they were twelve year olds and not fully grown men.
You wanted to scream at them to pick on someone their own size. To at least help the babushkas with their shopping trolleys. To maybe pick up a shovel and clear the path of ice and snow for a change. Maybe contribute to the community that they were policing so harshly? But, no. They didn’t give a fuck about the community. They were looking for those British spies.
Four Brits had moved into Building E, the shadiest bloc of them all, and they’d stuck out like a whole hand of sore thumbs. Everyone knew they were there. Their Russian accents left a lot to be desired. And yet, no one ratted them out. The Landlord, Danila Kosteyv, made sure the entire neighborhood knew that the Brits were off-limits. They’d obviously done well to line his pockets with enough rubles to last through the winter. It was the way of things: layer upon layer of corruption like a fetid little medovik, each cruel slice more putrid than the last.
So, when you were walking home from your job cleaning offices down Tverskaya street, it shouldn’t have surprised you that a menacing hand darted out from the shadows next to your apartment’s mailbox bank and curled around your arm.
“Idi syuda, devochka.” Come here, girl. Your assailant snapped at you, trying to drag you into the elevator next to the boxes.
You rolled your eyes at him, and put on your best Tajik accent, mimicking the women who worked with you on your floor,
“Sorry, no Russian.”
“Zatknis', suka. Zaydite v lift.” Shut up, bitch. Get in the lift. He shoved you with all of his force, and it was enough to fling you against the wall, spilling the meager contents of your purse.
“Fuck you, silovik. Tell your boss that the fucking chuzhaky are in the other apar–” A hard slap cut across your face without warning. One of the other brutes had raked his knuckles across your mouth, and now you could taste blood on your tongue.
You fought the urge to cry, and instead, you channeled your mother and rolled your eyes at him again, daring him to just shoot you already. You were nobody, just a cleaner. What they wanted, you couldn’t give them.
They boxed you in inside the lift, and their stale smell of cigarettes and sweat filled the tiny space, burning in your nose and throat. Once the doors shuddered open, they decided to walk you the rest of the way with each of your arms pinned in their big hands, bruising your skin carelessly.
You didn’t need to tell them which flat was yours; they already knew. The man who had spoken to you snatched your keys out of your hand and let himself in. You were pushed inside your own house, suddenly a prisoner in a place that you paid for. Even though you should’ve been scared, all you really felt was indignant.
The FSB bastards oozed into your dingy little flat like black tar, making everything that they touched dirty with their presence. They made themselves at home, eating your leftovers and drinking the dregs of the wine you’d been saving for your birthday.
“Chto ty khochesh'?” What do you want? You said in your normal Russian accent, dropping the ruse.
The leader, a fat, balding man with eyebrows like furry caterpillars and pock marks across his cheeks grabbed your hand and placed a device in your palm.
“Polozhite eto v karman odnogo iz shpionov. Zatem zazhgite svechu i postav'te yeye v okno.” Put this in one of those spies' pockets. Then light a candle and put it in the window. He told you, pointing to your one and only window that overlooked another bloc of apartments.
“Zaplati mne.” Pay me. You said, holding out your other, empty hand.
You waited for another slap, but instead, the man with the eyebrows rooted around in his pants for a moment and pulled out a money clip. He placed it in your palm and closed your fist around it, making your bones ache from his grip. You winced, trying to pull away, but he held fast, forcing you to meet his eyes,
“Desyat' tysyach rubley seychas i yeshche desyat' tysyach, kogda zazhzhete svechu.” Ten thousand rubles now and another ten thousand when you light the candle.
You looked down at the cash in your hand. This was more than you made in a whole week of cleaning offices, and you balked at the sum. These FSB men really wanted this job done. Eyebrows shoved his way past you, stealing your cigarettes from your countertop and pocketing them for himself. Just when he was about to close your door behind him, you rushed to it, holding it ajar.
“Zhdat'!” Wait! You called out, “Pochemu ya?” Why me?
Eyebrows wore a sinister smile across his mouth, bending close enough for you to smell his rancid breath, and you felt his hand trace his way up and over the shell of your ear, swiping down your braid gently with his finger, letting it rest in his palm.
“Ty dostatochno urodliv, chtoby ne vyzyvat' podozreniy.” You’re ugly enough to not arouse any suspicions. He sneered, “I ty deshevle shlyukhi.” And you’re cheaper than a whore.
He shrugged, slamming your own door shut behind him, leaving you to stew in your anger at his mean words.
The next day, you called in sick and headed over to Building E. You were bundled, smoking a brand new pack of cigarettes, your belly full for the first time in weeks thanks to the silovik’s money. This was not an area for foreigners, nothing like the shops and rental properties near your job on Tverskaya. But, when you saw the Brits emerge from their ground-floor flat, they were looking more and more like they belonged.
They’d taken to dressing in cheap but warm clothing, sporting hats and shoes and jackets they’d seen other men wearing around the bloc, and whomever had trained them in looking unapproachable had done a damn good job. Alas, they were still too noticeable to get away with much. Their nails were too clean, they were too well-fed, and the stain of an oppressive cycle of gray winters had not hardened their expressions quite enough.
You lingered closer to their apartment, pretending to pass out pamphlets you’d found around the bus station, giving yourself a reason to get near their entryway. One of them, the tall, handsome one with dark skin, walked by you, ignoring your pamphlet, letting the folded brochure graze his shoulder as he walked.
You chased after him,
“Gospodin, podozhdite! Razve vy ne khotite uznat' o –” Sir, wait! Don't you want to know about –
“No Russian. Izvini, ya ne govoryu po-russki.” His voice was warm like a fire, even when he was trying to give you a cold shoulder.
“Here, sir. Please, take it,” you moved closer, slipping the bug into his coat pocket, pretending to stumble over the cracked sidewalk a bit, keeping your eyes pinned on his and praying that he would take the bait.
He stopped walking, and for a moment, you thought you’d gotten away with it. He took one of your pamphlets, and you noticed just how much bigger he was than any of the FSB assholes who had come into your house. But, the pair of big, brown eyes that stared into yours were too bright, they held too much knowledge, too much experience. Behind his gaze lurked a smart, calculating beast, and when he let your pamphlet flutter onto the slick, icy path, you knew you had been caught. His full lips curled up into a smile, not unlike the one Eyebrows had given you when he degraded you in your own home, and he reached his hand into his pocket, pulling out the device you’d planted.
“Drop somethin’, love?”
Your breath caught in your throat, and you stared at the bug between his fingers. With very little effort, he smashed it in his hand, reducing it to platicky bits and letting them fall to the concrete, grinding them under his black, leather boot, crushing it to dust.
You turned, bolting back to your building, but he caught you by the wrist, gripping you even harder than the FSB men, nearly breaking your small bones just like he had destroyed the bug.
“No, please. They made me!” You protested, stumbling as he dragged you through the dimly-lit hall of his building, scraping your shoulder along the rough wall as he stomped off towards his flat.
You fought him, knowing that once he pulled you over the threshold of his door, you were as good as dead.
“They made you, huh? Did they threaten you? They holdin’ your mum hostage at the Kremlin, innit that right?” He rolled his eyes, showing the same disdain for you as you had for the FSB agents, sarcasm dripping from his sharp teeth.
“No… No! But they –”
He shouldered the door open, letting it bang into the wall, landing in the same spot where dents already existed from years of other men doing the same exact thing.
“They what? They said they’d come back and kill you, is that it?”
He sat you on the bed, your wrist still stuck to his closed fist, and he stood between your legs, towering over you like a giant.
“No…” You sniffled, fearful tears rolling down your cheeks.
“No. Then what are you doin’ this for, babydoll? Don’t you fuckin’ know better?”
“I needed the money!” You screamed up at him, shame flooding your voice.
He paused, looking down at you for a moment, his eyes glaring but a fake smile warping his visage. He looked like a hyena when it laughs, hungry and ready to taste blood.
“You needed the money? So, you risked your fuckin’ life. My fuckin’ life. All for what?”
He wanted a number. You stuttered, suddenly regretting telling him the truth,
“Ten th-thousand…”
“My life, all for ten thousand filthy fuckin’ rubles? Bloody hell…” He was laughing in disbelief, now. His hand wasn’t even holding onto you anymore. He was just shaking his head in disbelief, bitter and cruel in his appraisal of you and your morals.
“We come all the way out to this bloody fuckin’ shithole, tryin’ to stop a goddamn terrorist, tryin’ to save you bastards from fuckin’ war. And you’d sell me out for a goddamn hundred quid?”
His eyes peered down at you, and he seemed like he was full of thoughts. His energy was electric, and you could almost feel the edges of the room bending and warping as his mind raced, controlling you and this nasty little predicament like a magician, every movement was sleight of hand, every word was a riddle.
“What else would you do, huh? I got the bleedin’ bills right here,” he ripped a stack of rubles from his back pocket, flipping them in front of your nose like he was counting them out for you, letting the corners slap against your skin, “How much do you want? I don’t have any fuckin’ bugs for you to plant. So, what else are you gonna give me, huh?”
He bent his body down to look you right in the eyes, too close and yet his breath didn’t make you recoil like Eyebrows’ had. You imagined, in another place, in another time, this man could be good. He could be kind. But, what motivation had you given him to be kind to you?
“I… I don’t know… What do you want?” You asked him, sniffling and pitiful, holding your arms to your chest like you were shivering from the cold.
“How much for a kiss, hm?” He smiled, pretending to be sweet, and doing a poor enough acting job to know that he was still a threat.
He held up a red, crisp five thousand note, holding it in front of your eyes. Slowly, right in front of your face, he folded it in half and brushed the paper across your lips, watching with satisfaction as your mouth fell open in shock and terror.
“Yeah? One kiss. I think it’s a good bargain, love. What do you think?” His voice was low, like a lover’s, and yet you knew you were anything but.
You didn’t know another way out of this situation, so you leaned forward, pressing your mouth to his, kissing him as if you were in a school play, performing the act and yet feeling only embarrassment and shame.
“Mm,” he pulled back, his brow furrowing, “Let’s try again, yeah?” He pulled another note out, just as clean and crisp as the first, holding it up to your mouth this time, “Go on, then. Kiss me like you mean it.”
He kept the paper in place, moving his mouth over it, kissing you with the barrier between your lips, his other hand gripping you at the nape of your neck and forcing your head to move where he wanted it to. Then, as he kissed you deeper, the paper fell, wet and crumpled on the floor. His tongue invaded your mouth, and he sucked on your lips, making you forget that you were not supposed to be enjoying this.
“You’ve such a soft little mouth, love. Bet you can do all kinds of things with it, huh? Or does it only know how to lie to me?”
He glared, and you didn’t know what to say. So, you waited, watching as he counted out ten of the five thousand notes. It was twice what you’d made last month.
Then, he raised himself up to his full height, holding out the cash in his hand like a fan, showing it to you like it was proof of your crimes against him,
“C’mon, baby. It’s all yours. Every goddamn cent,” his hand tightened in your hair making you cry out from the pain of his fist on your scalp, “What’re you gonna do for it?”
You stared up at him and then your eyes settled on the crotch of his pants, bulging and tight right in front of you. You looked up at him again, and he looked like he was holding back his laughter, biting the inside of his cheek to keep from cackling at your helplessness.
You looked back at his obvious erection, and you gingerly began to unbutton his jeans, the only sound in the room was the whir of his zipper and the breaths that were hitching in your chest. He was hidden behind black boxer briefs, so you peeled them away, freeing his heavy cock and watching it sway in front of your face.
Then, you hesitated, wondering if he would truly force you to suck him off just for planting a bug on him. You looked up at his face, searching for the gentleness that you knew could be there. But, it wasn’t. He’d put that away, saving it for another, a prettier one, someone more deserving. You were just another problem for him that he needed to solve.
“Come on, love. Don’t get shy on me, now,” he purred, using his fan of cash to brush down your face and mouth, petting you with it, over and over, creating a deceptively silky softness on your cheek, lulling you into thinking you were choosing to do this on your own.
You leaned forward, taking just the head into your mouth, looking up at him for his approval. He grinned at you, smiling wide, winking at you audaciously,
“Tha’s it, baby. I knew you could put that mouth to work. Anythin’ for the cash, right?”
He was teasing you, watching you struggle to take even half of his length, rubbing your cash all over your face and nose, using it to grab you around the jaw and move you back and forth as you attempted to suck him off.
“How much for me to see those heavy fuckin’ tits, huh?” He let each bill fall across your face one by one as you jerked his shaft and suckled from his drooling tip, working him like a pump, expecting him to flood your throat, unfeeling and uncaring.
You pulled away from him and looked up in the same shocked way, not understanding how you could get yourself out of this. He had you under his spell, threatening in tone and stature alone, but it was enough.
You shucked off your jacket, and you began to unbutton your sweater, wearing nothing underneath. Bras were expensive, and you couldn’t justify wearing them out on your days off. Button by button, his cock twitched, shining with your spit, still beading up at the slit with his precome, eager for more.
Finally, your sweater fell open, and you removed it, laying it with your jacket, and looking up at him for another round of approval.
“Wow,” he praised you sarcastically, “Such a good girl, aren’t you? If someone holds out a bill in front of you, you’d fuckin’ stab your own mum in the back, huh?”
“No! I was only –”
His cock was back in your mouth, and you choked on it, struggling to take it so deeply and upset by how much of the shaft was still left to go. He pushed himself forward again, forcing himself down into your throat, making you take him in such a way that you didn’t know was physically possible.
“You just needed the money, I know, I know. You fuckin’ told me that. Short memory, me.” He laughed, watching you struggle to breathe as he held you in place, “Don’t worry, baby. I’ve got it right here.”
He reached back and grabbed another stack of bills, spreading some over your nose and face, using the other notes to tease and fondle your breasts, his hands neither holding them nor placing them deliberately. He was just smearing them across your flesh like it was paint, covering you in the notes, desperate to make you feel them against your nipples and your breasts and your sensitive neck, wrapping the paper over your body and squeezing it to you, groping you behind the money until it fell to the floor. Then, he could fondle you properly, pinching your hanging peaks, teasing them until they were taut, and rolling their nubs between his thumb and forefinger as you tried to bob your head up and down on his length.
Then, once he was pleased with your body, he turned his attention back to your mouth, holding both sides of your head in his huge hands, guiding your head all the way down to his black, curly root, burying your nose it his pubes maliciously, his cock throbbing when you gagged and gasped around him.
He began to thrust into you, humping his cock down your throat, not bothering to stop to allow you to take a breath.
“Tha’s it, baby. I knew you could fuckin’ do it. Just had to pay you the right amount, huh? A few rubles and this tight little throat opens right on up for me.”
Suddenly, with a show of strength you had never experienced, he held your face down to this body and jerked up into you, hard. He began to fill your belly with his hot come, cutting off your airway as he held your mouth in place. With each pump, you felt yourself getting closer and closer to coming. It was a natural reaction, and you had no say in it.
Unfortunately, he noticed.
“Look at you,” he clicked his tongue against his teeth, “You fuckin’ love it, don’t you? Swallowin’ my knob for money like a bloody hooker and comin’ in your knickers like a slag.”
The door to the flat opened up, and he ignored it, his fury and lustful rage focusing solely on you. You tried to get away, writhing and wriggling with desperation, trying your best to take a breath in whichever way you could.
“Gaz,” a man’s voice purred through the room like a warning, “Who’s this, then?”
“I dunno, Captain. Said she’d do anythin’ for a few quid. She even tried to plant a fuckin’ bug in my pocket for those Kremlin bastards, but we found something else she’s good at, didn’t we, baby?”
Gaz ripped himself out of your throat, strings of drool and come connecting his gleaming head to your wet lips, open, choking, and panting for breath. He dragged his dark, ebon head across your soft cheek, just like he’d dragged the money, and he wiped himself on your face with abandon.
“Don’t worry, love,” he grinned down at you, admiring the way he’d made a mess on your skin, “I’m sure there’s all sorts of talents you’ve got. Now, how much for me to fill up that pussy?”
“I don’t think I should… I can’t…” You whispered, unable to use the full power of your voice.
But, Gaz was already shoving you down onto the bed, rolling off your pants, and staring longingly down at your shining cunt. He turned to the captain and smiled,
“Think she’ll give us a two-for-one deal?”
Their laughter turned your stomach, but when you saw them reach into their wallets to shower you with more and more cash, you spread your legs wide, admitting to yourself that you were nothing more than a filthy whore for them, letting them take you as many times as they wanted, the red paper notes sticking to your sweaty flesh as your body rocked back and forth across the mattress.

Whispers of the night-Lloyd Garmadon x F!reader
Hi, this will become a new series, I’ve never done a series on Tumbler, only Wattpad and AO3, but I’ll probably add some of those series on her aswell, not the long ones, though.
I’ll add this series to both those platforms somewhere this month, but I’ll probably change the name cuz I don’t like this one that much.
Summary: y/n is your typical rebelling teen, sneaking out, ignoring her parent requests, stealing snacks from shops, skipping school. People who are like her, people with powers, normally do good, like the ninja, she likes to live a quite, but not so quite life.
Like that, she ignores the power she holds, she holds the power of illusion, she does not keep it a secret form her friends, though doesn’t like to talk about it much with people outside her friend group.
Her power isn’t unknown, so, of course, she did get an invitation to the tournament of elements, but she never attended, having promised herself she would live a quite, normal, teenager life.
That changes when a certain green ninja enters her life.
“Yes! Perfect, Millie!” Y/n clapped as the friend group cheered. The eight of them spent most of their free time in the skate park in Ninjago city.
It only had a pole, bank, pit and a halfpipe (which they where currently sitting on) but it would do, if they needed more like a stair railing, they’d go to other parts of the city.
Amelia landed on Y/n’s right side with a cocky smirk. Next to her sat Anthony while Luna stood behind them.
It was a sunny Wednesday, one of the last sunny days they where expecting, as it was late September.
“Alright, now copy that.” Amelia patted Y/n on the back and the girl got up, “I’ll destroy you, Cooper.” She said with slightly narrowed eyes and a smirk.
She picked up her skateboard, the bottom decorated with small doodles she made herself, but also some made by her friends, names included.
“Want me to film you?” Flora called from the other side of the halfpipe. “Sure!” Y/n called back, getting into position.
When she got the thumbs up from Flora, she shifted her weight and took off, getting cheered on by the others while Amelia jokingly yelled “boo!”
The six Ninja had the afternoon for themselves, having trained in the morning and decided on spending some time in the local park.
They walked past the skatepark and Lloyd looked over to see what the people there where up to. There was a girl with h/c hair soaring on her skateboard while being cheered on.
She was really beautiful.
“What ya looking at?” Kai looked at the direction Lloyd was looking at and smirked. “Watching the pretty skate girls?” He teased making Lloyds cheeks slightly heat up before protesting, making the others laugh.
“Good enough for you?” Y/n cocked a brow at Amelia who grinned. “More then enough.” She said. Flora, Arthur and Charlie, who had been on the other side, climbed onto their side.
“Who’s getting drinks?” Y/n heard Charlie ask, she had registered what he said to late, and when she looked up, everyone had a finger on their nose.
“Fine,” she grumbled, making the others chuckle. She wrote down what everyone wanted and waved before heading to the food and drink stall not far away.
When she arrived there she smiled at the boy with blonde hair that stood there, seeming to wait for his order.
He smiled back and she heard chuckling behind them. He turned around and shot his friends who stood not far away a glare.
“Good afternoon, how may I help you?” The teenager behind the register asked and Y/n smiled kindly.
“Hello,” she greeted. “Could I please have two cokes, a strawberry shake, one lemonade, one ice-tea, two passion fruit shakes and a ginger beer?” She asked and the girl nodded with a polite smile.
“Was that all?” She questioned. “Yes, that was it.” She answered and pulled out her card. “That would be eighteen fourth five,”
Y/n payed for the drinks and waited next to the boy who was tapping his foot on the ground a bit impatiently.
She couldn’t help but notice how cute he was. Blonde hair that was shining in the sun, light freckles on his face, bright green eyes and she couldn’t help but see he worked out daily.
Feeling he stare, he looked at her and smiled kindly, making her quickly look the other way.
He was then handed his drinks, and walked of after giving her a polite nod.
When she received her drinks aswel, she walked back to her friends who excitedly ran over and all took their own drinks.
Lloyd handed everyone their drinks and they smirked at him. “What?” He asked, taking his own drink in his hands.
“She was totally checking you out man!” Cole said, pushing Lloyds shoulder slightly, and if it wouldn’t have been for his own super strength, he would’ve fallen over.
“Who was?” He asked confused, making the others exchange baffled glances. “That pretty skater girl, obviously.” Kai rolled his eyes.
“No she was not!” Lloyd pointed out and Nya sighed. “Lloyd, I think it’s time we get your eyes checked.” She said disappointedly, making the others laugh.
“But come on dude, you can’t tell me she isn’t pretty, right?” Kai poked Lloyds arm making the green ninja chuckle. “She is, really pretty indeed.” He admitted.
The group had decided to make their way to James’ house as he had a huge backyard. Still sipping on their drinks, they walked to the entrance to the park.
Well, except for Luna, who was standing on her skateboard while holding onto Arthur, casually looking at her phone while being pulled forwards.
“Hey, is that the guy from the stand?” Amelia suddenly pointed to a group of friends who where standing in the shadow of a tree.
Amongst them indeed the boy Y/n had stood next to and mentioned to her friends.
Embarrassed, she quickly pulled her friends arm down as three of the boys looked their way, Amelia being rather loud.
“Millie!” Y/n hissed making her friends laugh.
“Hey, wait!” They turned to someone approaching them. “Hello?” Anthony raised an eyebrow at the guy standing in front of them.
“Hi,” he pointed his attention to Y/n, “I’m Kai and my friend over there,” he pointed at the blonde boy from earlier who looked mortified. “He thinks you’re really pretty and wants your number.” He said and Y/n gave an amused smirk while Flora and Amelia giggled.
Y/n tilted her head to the side to look at the blond boy who seemed to be scolding one of his friends with black hair.
“Sure, why not?” She smiled and looked over at Charles.
“Charlie, can I have the sticky notes and a pen?” She asked and he smirked and handed them over.
She wrote her number down and her name right under it. “Here, give that to your handsome friend.” She winked as she gave it before Kai thanked her and took off again.
“Damn N/n, you just got yourself boyfriend.” Luna teased with a smirk making Y/n give her a look. “It’s just a number, Lu.” She said, making her friends protest.
“Why did you have to dare him to do that?” Lloyd pointed an accusing finger at Cole who could only laugh.
Kai had jogged back over and everyone looked at him expecting and he gave Lloyd the sticky note with her name and number.
“Y/n, huh?” He read with a small smirk, having not expected to actually get her number.
“Mhm, and, her words where ‘give that to your handsome friend’ so I think you just got yourself a maybe girlfriend.” Kai said and Lloyd knew at that moment he was in for a lot of teasing for the rest of the day.
“I’m home!” Y/n closed the door behind her and walked into her house. It was almost 10 so she was surprised to see her little brother still on the couch.
She walked past and pushed the hood of his hoody over his head and he let out an angry yelp.
“Mooomm, Y/n’s bullying me!” He called out and their mother poked her head out of the kitchen. “Y/n?” She gave her eldest daughter a look making her smirk.
“Why’s he still up?” She entered the kitchen, taking an apple out of the fruit basket. “He’s free from school tomorrow so I allowed him to stay up late tonight.” Her mother said, rolling out dough to make cookies while Y/n took a bite of her apple.
“He’s literally six,” she swallowed her apple. “You didn’t allow me to stay up this late when I was that age.” She said
“Well this is different… kind of, but it’s just one time, I hope it won’t get to his head.” Her mother shook her head making Y/n chuckle.
“If it does it’s a you problem,” she threw the remains of her apple away and snatched her phone form the table.
“I’m heading out around 12, Charlie, Luna, Millie and I are going for a movie and then we’ll see what we’re going to do,” she looked at her phone.
“Hold up young lady, while that sounds fun, there has been a lot going on around the city again, I don’t want you going out at night.” He mother said making her groan.
“Come on mom, nothings going to happen, the ninja and police can handle it, it’s not that big of a threat anyway.” She waved it off. “Y/n!” Her mother said sternly and she groaned.
“Fine.” She left the kitchen and headed up the stairs with a scowl.
The ding of her phone made her look back at her screen.
Unknown number huh?

After ten minutes, Y/n could hear her mother softly snoring in her room and she could still hear the tv downstairs, hoping that was enough distraction for her snitching little brother.
She opened her window softly and sat on the window sill. She took en deep breath and jumped down, landing on the grass in their front yard.
She grabbed the broom that stood agains the wall of the house and used it to push her window closed.
That’ll do.
The abusement park
You

We will come for you👹
Y/n chuckled and grabbed her skateboard before making her way to the city centrum.
She put in her headphones and blasted music, making the noice of her surroundings disappear into the background.
At arrival, she smirks at her friends who get up at the sight of her.
“N/n!” Amelia cheers as she pulls her into an excited hug. “So Lu just checked on her phone, and there are four seats free in some sort of horror movie, so if we sneak in, we can watch it no problem.” She explains.
“Sure yeah, I can fix that.” Y/n grins, and with a snap of her fingers, they disappeared to the crowds eye.
“Holy shit what happened?” Charlie says panicked. “Illusions Charlie!” Luna hit his shoulder. “Oh, right.”
After four years, Charlie still can’t get used to Y/n having these powers, so whenever she uses them, he believes in the illusion making him see them.
If one does belief the illusion is really there and not an illusion, they just see what Y/n wants them to see, but if they realise what she’s doing, the illusion disappears for their eyes.
“Let’s go then, and uh, stay silent.” She says and her friends follow her, making sure to not walk into someone.
They got into the theater easily, it was still quite empty so when they sat, y/n could change them back and they snickered.
When the movie ended, they snuck out again.
“I can’t believe you actually got scared!” Y/n and Luna where laughing while Amelia cursed at them. She had screamed multiple times. Charlie just followed them with an amused grin.

she’s something like a miracle
Pairing: JJ Maybank x Reader
Warnings: none !!
Words: 1K
A/N: no spoilers for obx3!!! i did finish it though, so it’s definitely helping my love for jj
You faced yourself in the mirror, twisting and turning to make sure every piece of your outfit was perfectly in place. You were wearing a longer dress, one that always flew in the wind in a way that made you feel magical.
JJ had planned a whole date with you, not giving many details other than what time he was picking you up. Normally you would’ve been on the nervous side, not knowing about the plans of the night, but you knew JJ very well and you trusted him with your entire heart.
The knock at the door made you look up from the view of the mirror, grabbing a bag, and making your way out to open the front door.
JJ stood before you, holding out a bouquet of flowers. He grinned upon seeing you, taking in your outfit with a deep breath.
“Wow,” He muttered, his voice low.
You did a halfhearted curtsy, laughing lightly at JJ’s awed reaction.
“Are these for me?” You couldn’t help but ask, nodding towards the flowers in his hand.
JJ brings himself out of his daze, gaze refocusing on you. “Oh! Yeah, these, uh- hey did you realize how fucking expensive flowers are?”
With a laugh, you gently grab the bouquet from him, moving further into your house to find a vase. “I was vaguely aware, yes.”
JJ stood at the door, shifting his weight on his feet while he waited for you to return. When you did, he extended his hand, leading you down your steps to the car outside.
You hesitated, almost stopping in your tracks when you saw the truck parked in your driveway. Part of you thought he would’ve borrowed the Twinkie from John B, or he would’ve taken his bike.
“Is this Heyward’s?”
“Yeah, he let me borrow it for the date.” JJ was so casual about it, giving you a lazy grin.
“So, you’re doing deliveries for him for the rest of the week then, aren’t you?” You asked, JJ’s smile not faltering.
“Two weeks, actually. Hop in.” He opened the door, only releasing your hand once you’d climbed into the car.
He drove through Outer Banks, still refusing to tell you where you were being taken to.
If there was one thing JJ was good at, it was distracting you. He managed to keep up the conversation just enough that you were starting to forget that you didn’t know the plan until he was pulling into the parking lot.
When you looked up, leaning forward to see out the window, you noticed the ice cream shop you’d been wanting to try.
It made sense to you instantly, remembering how you’d been talking JJ’s ear off about trying this place ever since you saw it one afternoon.
The second he parked, he rushed out of the car, jogging around to your door so he could open it before you got the chance.
“Very gentlemanly.” You take his hand and walk with him into the ice cream shop.
It was less crowded than you expected for a warm summer day, but neither of you was complaining. You ordered quickly and JJ grabbed the two ice creams, handing one to you with an exaggerated bow.
“For you, princess.”
You giggled, taking the ice cream from him. “Thank you, kind sir.”
Unbeknownst to you, a young girl in line was staring at you with wide eyes while her mother stepped up to order for her. With her mom’s back turned, she snuck off and approached you, tugging on the end of your dress.
You look down, surprised when you saw the child before you. Still, you gave her a smile, glancing around to see if she had a parent nearby. JJ looked between the two of you, fighting back the smile on his face.
“Are you really a princess?” She asked, her voice so small and full of wonder that you could feel your heart swell.
Behind you, you could hear JJ’s surprised laugh, now grinning ear to ear. Without a word, he took the ice cream from your hand, letting you focus on the child’s important question.
You crouched down to meet the girl’s eye level, plastering on your sweetest smile.
“Yeah, I am.”
Her eyes lit up, staring up at you with awe. There was a spark in her eyes you were hoping would never die.
At that point, her mother had finished ordering, now noticing her child was no longer waiting beside her. She rushed up to you, gently pulling her daughter away from you.
“I am so sorry!” She apologized profusely as you straightened back up. “She’s been very keen on wandering lately, and I can hardly keep track of her. I hope she wasn’t too much trouble for you two?”
You shook your head, taking a half step closer to JJ. “Not at all.”
“She’s a real princess, mom!” The girl insisted, pointing at you.
Her mom laughed, putting a hand on her daughter’s shoulder. “Is that so?”
The girl nodded, dropping her hand to her side.
“Well, thank you…” The mother stopped, looking at you expectantly.
“Y/N.” You supplied, shaking her hand.
“Thank you, Y/N.” She gave you a warm smile, walking her daughter off to grab her ice cream.
“Thank you, princess Y/N!” The child called after you, waving excitedly before turning back to her mom, having a conversation you could no longer hear.
JJ handed back your ice cream, the wide smile on his face becoming more contagious by the second.
“Well, princess, are you ready to go?”
You nodded, licking the ice cream that had started to drip down the cone, leaning into JJ when he put his free hand around your waist.
“If I’m a princess, does that make you a prince, J?” You asked, a faux serious expression on your face.
“Of course, look at me!” He gestured to himself, his navy blue t-shirt and black pants clearly not the epitome of wealth. “I’m the most prince-like dude here!”
You threw your head back in laughter, JJ’s grip on your waist tightening ever so slightly. “You really are, J. You really are.”

Chapter 7
୨⎯ Narrative ⎯୧
The Stone Bridge. The Pevensie's stood on the looking over the horizon. "Now, Aslan’s camp is near the Stone Table just across the frozen river." Mr. Beaver told them. Rina stood beside Mrs. Beaver worried, not only for Edmund but what her father and sister will say.
"River?" Peter said, looking concerned. "Oh, the river’s been frozen solid for a hundred years." Mrs. Beaver said, reassuring him. "It’s so far!" Susan said, frowning lowly. "It’s the world, Dear. Did you expect it to be small?" Mrs, Beaver said, smiling.
Across The Wood
The court yard door opens and Edmund and Ginarrbrik walk through it into the courtyard. Edmund stops short when he sees a new statue, Mr.Tumnus. "When you’re ready, Son of Adam." The Witch said.
The sleigh sweeps out of the castle doors and across the frozen lake surrounding it. Edmund huddles on the floor whilst the Witch sits upright, wrapped in her furs.
Susan, Lucy, Peter, Rina and the Beavers walking across a huge frozen river. "Come on, humans! While we're still young." Mr. Beaver said, walking ahead of them. Peter bends down to give Lucy a piggy back ride, "If he tells us to hurry one more time, I’m gonna turn him into a big, fluffy hat." Peter said, making Lucy giggle.
"No! Behind you! It's her!" Mr. Beaver yelled. Rina quickly looked behind them and took a deep breath widening her power making them all invisible. "Wait! Will you just think about this for a minute?" Susan asked, frantically Peter. "We don’t have a minute!" Peter said sternly. "I’m just trying to be realistic." Susan said, galring back at Peter. "No, you’re trying to be smart. As usual."
They start to climb down. Susan looks like she might stay but the howling of the wolves in the distance changes her mind. Peter puts a foot on the ice and water spurts up from under it. "Wait. Maybe I should go first." Mr. Beaver said, making Rina nervous as she looked at him with scared eyes. But, he gave her a quick smile making Peter catch on and frown as to what he was looking at.
Mr. Beaver tests out the ice with his feet and tail, trying to find the strongest passage. The children start to follow Mr. Beaver across the ice. Lucy notices the wolves running across the top of the frozen waterfall to the other side of the river. The wolves leap down being able to smell them, but can't see them.
"OH, PRINCESS RINA! I KNOW YOU'RE HIDING THEM!" Maugrim yelled. They ran across the river, Rina's heart pounds in her chest as she tried to focus on keeping them invisible. She grabbed onto Lucy's hand helping her keep up. Susan and Peter looked at Lucy, as they're eyes widened looking at Lucy grabbing on to something or someone.
"WHAT'S IT GOING TO BE, PRINCESS BRAT!? THE RIVER CAN'T HIDE THEM!" Maugrim yelled to her again.
Peter noticing the waterfall is starting to crack and collapse. He stabs the sword into the ice. The waterfall plunges down on them and sweeps them away. The beavers propel the chunk of ice to shore. Peter stands up holding Lucy’s coat in his hand, but no Lucy. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" Susan yells. They look around but don't see her. "Lucy! Lucy!" Susan yells.
"Has anyone seen my coat?" They heard a little voice and turns to see Lucy being pulled from the water by a little brown girl, as they walked up the frozen bank holding hands. Both of them soaking wet and shivering from the cold.
Mr and Mrs. Beaver looked at Rina. She's been seen. "Rina my child." Mrs. Beaver whispered, concerned but also happy that she was okay.
Rina looked at everyone as they stared at her. She then looked at Lucy and she smiled lowly at her nodding. Rina then told them who she was. She told them about her sister and who Aslan is to her. She told them that she was princess of Narnia entirely, and her sister would be Queen of Narnia not just parts of it but all of Narnia. She told them she's been with them this whole time, keeping them safe. She apologized for not being able to save their brother, her powers weren't that advanced yet. Her father was truly the only one that could help him.
Peter and Susan than hugged Lucy and thanked Rina for saving her and doing her best by keeping them safe.
"Well, I don't think you'll be needing those coats anymore." Mrs. Beaver said smiling. They see a blossom growing and leave their coats behind as the wood changes from winter into spring/summer.

Did you get a request? It's an one shot for Astarion to react to gn crush who would always help him if they can but always refuse to repayed in any way whether it's money or anything else. Thanks!
For this request, I decided to simply make a part 2 of my OS - Astarion x Gn druid reader : On your skin (pt 1). I thought it was a good fit for this idea! Enjoy! ♥
OS - Astarion x Gn druid reader : On your skin (Pt 2).
You and your companions had been at Baldur's Gate for a few days now. You'd never really enjoyed life in the city, and certainly not here, where you could feel the poison spreading through the ground and into every living creature around you. Trees were dying, wild animals were fleeing, birds were silent.
During a seemingly routine patrol along the banks of the Chionthar River, you were ambushed by some disciples of Bhaal, the Lord of Murder. They outnumbered your group and seemed more dangerous every time. Since the death of Ketheric Thorm, Orin the Red had been tracking you like a predator watching and playing with its prey. The disciples under her command would do anything to spill your blood. Just as one of Bhaal's assassins dashed towards Astarion, dagger raised, you lifted your arm to imprison him with vines that you conjured up from the ground with your magic.
"Astarion, look out!" you cried.
You couldn't see if the enemy had managed to hit Astarion, for your attention was immediately diverted by another one who threw himself at you. You barely had time to drop ice spikes on him, which pierced his body from all sides, his knife merely grazing your cheek. As his lifeless body collapsed heavily at your feet, you looked towards Astarion, who had just thrust his blade into the heart of the man you had imprisoned earlier in your vines. Karlach and Lae'zel slaughtered the last ones who resisted them. Silence fell around you, it was finally over. You drew a breath and made the climbing plants disappear with a wave of your hand.
"'Is everyone alright?" you asked, wiping the blood from your cheek.
"Affirmative, soldier," Karlach replied.
"Tsk. Orin's tracking us like wild fowl, I cannot wait to give her a taste of my blade." added Lae'zel.
"Let's get back to camp" you announced.
Astarion seemed far too quiet for you. You still had enough strength left to open a portal leading directly to camp. Lae'zel and Karlach stepped through, soon followed by Astarion and you. A step through and you found yourself facing the campfire in the center of the old barn. Your eyes hovered over your three companions standing beside you. Karlach had a few scratches but didn't seem to be suffering, Lae'zel had superficial wounds that still merited some treatment, and Astarion seemed to be fine - well, he seemed elsewhere.
You thanked Halsin and Shadowheart, who had come to treat the wounded. You chose to treat your wounds alone with your own ointments and elixirs. As you headed for your tent, footsteps behind you made you turn around. It was Astarion.
"Are you wounded?" you asked, worried.
"Well.. Yes," he sighed, pouting.
"Why didn't you say something?"
"For nothing in the world would I miss an opportunity to be healed by my favorite druid." he grinned, winking.
You sighed at his words. Despite his smile, you noticed his discomfort, you tried to examine him carefully and found the source of his pain, a cut on the inside of his arm. The blood dripping from it blended in with the dark fabric of his outfit. You let him into your tent, your little sanctuary had become very familiar to him. This time, however, he didn't sit, he stood. You approached him and started undoing the buttons on his jacket, then on the shirt underneath. You could feel his gaze scrutinizing your every move, but you remained focused. You were imperturbable, especially when it came to treating wounds. You slid your hands under the fabric and against his skin, the contrast of his icy skin against yours always surprised you. You slid the garment as gently as possible.
"This is getting ridiculous,' finally said Astarion.
"What's that?" you asked without understanding and without taking your eyes off his wound. The blade had ripped his skin, but if care was taken, it would heal properly.
"This. You keep helping me, at the risk of getting yourself hurt. This is ridiculous."
"It's not ridiculous, the situation was under control," you replied. It wasn't totally true, though; you'd just been lucky and had a good reflex.
You grabbed a wooden bowl containing a mixture of weavemoss and mugwort bundle that would stop the bleeding. Your touch and the coolness of the mixture made him shiver, its effect was immediate, the blood stopped. You wrapped the wound in a clean bandage then you finally looked at him. His scarlet eyes never left your face.
"Your compulsive kindness sickens me," continued Astarion. "I am forever in your debt, and I do not know how to repay it. Tell me what you want. Tell me what to do."
You kept staring at him, completely stunned by his words, and you bit the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from smiling. For him, pure altruism didn't exist. Life was just a succession of exchanges or debts that absolutely had to be repaid. You wanted him to see beyond that.
"I don't want anything in return, Astarion. Why is it so hard for you to understand that I'm doing this because I care about you?" you replied. "I simply don't want to lose you"
Astarion seemed genuinely troubled by your words. You'd never been false to him. You cared about this vampire spawn. You'd shared many moments together, but the ones you preferred, apart from the nights spent by his side, were when you treated his scars or healed his wounds. These were intimate moments, that you cherished because they allowed you to discover his vulnerability. The same vulnerability you were seeing at that very moment. He allowed himself to emerge from the darkness of his past that threatened to envelop him to stand in the light beside you.
"It is even more annoying." he sighed. He moved his hand over your cheek, sliding his thumb over the dried blood that had drained from your cut. "But I rather like that idea, that you care about me."

Since it's one of my favorite scenes in TGM, maybe the '86 boys finding the most beautiful plane ever built (i.e. the F-14 for those who don't know what I mean) and figuring out who gets to pilot and who has to backseat? Or '86 Ice and Mav after seeing the Admiral in his hospital bed? Or Ice having a chat with Rooster?
Gonna go with the first one, because I'm actually really pleased with the banter LOL
-
“Ice,” Mav says, hunched over as he looks through the binoculars. He’s gone very, very still.
“If it isn’t good news, don’t tell me,” Ice says.
“It’s… well, it’s news,” Mav says, and hands him the binoculars. “Last spot on the right.
Ice takes the binoculars and looks through them.
He stares.
“Well,” he says finally. “She may not fly.”
“That’s true,” Mav agrees.
“And we won’t outrun any of the bogeys in the air.”
“Also true.”
Ice falls silent again, staring. “...Rock-paper-scissors for the pilot seat?”
“You’re on,” Mav says.
-
“I can’t believe you cheated,” Mav hisses, as they slide down the last of the bank.
“I did not,” Ice lies. “How would someone cheat at rock-paper-scissors?”
“You hesitated!”
“You want a redo? I’m sure we could stop someone to referee,” Ice says. They start out into the open, looking around at all the people milling about like so many chickens with their heads cut off. “But if not, I think we should run.”
“Argh!” Mav says eloquently.
They run.
In front of them, an F-14 Tomcat looms large, big and beautiful and just for them.
By some miracle, nobody stops them as they dash across the runway towards her.
-
“Do you often cheat at rock-paper-scissors,” Mav asks, as Ice walks up to the generator, hoping against hope has he activates the machine--
It lights up.
“Fuck, yes,” Ice says.
“Glad you’re willing to admit it,” Mav says, because he’s a jackass. Ice rolls his eyes.
“No time to preflight,” he says, and rounds to march towards the ladder. “Unhook us will you?”
“No, I’m going to just stand here and wait for us to be caught,” Mav mutters.
Ice ignores him, jumping into the cockpit and hauling his helmet back on, taking in the familiar, if aged-looking, dashboard.
“Hi there, baby,” he says, and feels the warm weight of familiarity settle into his bones. He runs his fingers over the dashboard for a moment. “We’re gonna treat you right. You up for a last flight?” He flips the Master on, fingers flying through the start engine sequence. “Come on, sweetheart, you show these pretenders how it’s done--”
There’s a thrum, and the first engine turns over.
Down on the ground, Mav whoops.
Ice doesn’t bother to suppress his grin, cheeks hurting with it. “That’s what I’m fucking talking about,” he says, and lets reflex kick in, coaxing the second engine to life as Mav climbs in behind him.
“Fuck, it’s been a bit since I sat in this seat,” Mav complains through the radio, as Ice secures the canopy.
“Don’t worry, I’m not expecting you to be much help,” Ice assures him, and throttles forward and out of the hangar bay.
“Fuck you, too.”
Ice’s grin widens. “Don’t proposition me in front of our date, Mav, it’s bad form.”
“Oh, I’m sorry baby, you know you’re the only girl for us,” Mav says, instantly, sounding genuinely apologetic.
Ice shakes his head, taxiing them out and taking in the taxiway in front of them, the completely cratered runway. He feels the smile fall off his face slightly. “Hm.”
“...Taxiway it is, I guess,” Mav muses.
“Short runway takeoff,” Ice agrees. “You a praying man, Mav?”
“Nope.”
“Me neither,” Ice says, and starts the takeoff sequence. “Let’s go.”

Some random pieces of Starfinder worldbuilding from the Pact Worlds setting book that bring me joy:
From the Burning Archipelago, a network of force bubbles holding a city inside the surface of a sun:
“Tethers of energy hold the bubbles in an unchanging formation, but they also serve as the backbone of interbubble transport. Ferries known as linecrawlers hug the tethers, using them to traverse the turbulent solar atmosphere between the bubbles. […] In practice, the senate operates more like a negotiating society than a legislative body, as major trade guilds, especially the powerful Linecrawler Operators Union, can speak freely at senate meetings.”
This little nugget about ferry ships hugging force tethers inside the surface of a sun and the powerful union that runs them. Like. When you imagine that? As if you were a tourist experiencing it for the first time, climbing onto this bus and watching as it heads out of the force bubble that is all that stands between you and immolation inside a star, hugging to a line of force that nobody knows how to repair, and the guy driving the thing knows your awe and your terror so well, because it’s what he and his union bank on to give them a voice in government. Just. Awesome.
From Aballon, the machine-world closest to the sun:
“Between millennia of robotic excavators crafting perfectly aligned subterranean tunnels and the organic “diggers” of the Ice Wells crafting their own networks, Aballon is rife with internal transit routes. Unleashed in the wake of the First Ones’ departure, the excavator robots began work constructing a series of pathways to connect the planet’s various settlements. Sometime during the Gap, these excavators completed their work, and the anacites installed complex, magnetically charged rail systems. The mag-rail network allows high-speed transit beneath the planet’s surface, freeing up the skies for city-sized bulk landers to collect goods from the anacite-run forges.”
I have a fascination for logistics and transport systems, okay, especially in sci-fi, and Aballon’s mag-rail system running underground between massive machine megaplexes, organic undercities hiding in the craters beneath them, and the jungles of the ‘Ice Wells’, deep impact craters that protect from the burning sunlight and allow the presence of water, is just … It’s just the imagery? This machine-dug traceries running beneath the surface of the world.
From the permanently frozen dark side of the tidally locked Verces comes the Fastness of the Ordered Mind:
“A cluster of linked fortress-temples, the Fastness houses the Ascetics of Nar, one of the oldest monastic societies in the Pact Worlds. Within its walls, the ice-obsessed scholars undergo bizarre rituals in order to further their mystical study of the cosmos, seeing in the crystalline structure of ice a blueprint for the inherent order of the multiverse. For some, this means using melting shards of ice to carve magical sigils into their flesh—thus supposedly taking the ice’s order into themselves— while others meditate unprotected on exposed glaciers, letting the cold ravage their bodies. The most aggressive of these allow frostbite to take all of their limbs, and these honored individuals, called the Clarified, are either wired permanently into starships or joined psychically into neural networks with their cenobites in the Fastness’s most secure heart, helping take the order’s research of the universe to new heights.”
Because Verces’ dark side is the setting of the Thing and Event Horizon and Hellraiser, and I love it so much. And the detail of the frostbitten Clarified being directly wired into the heart of starships as their pilots is just exactly the sort of gruesome horrifying science fiction detailing that I enjoy.
From the pirate-and-mystery laden asteroid belt of the Diaspora:
“The ysoki trade frigate Farabarrium is a salvaged ATech Immortal left adrift by the Knights of Golarion after a brutal confrontation with an Eoxian cruiser several years ago. A group of ysoki salvagers called the Shirsask Kaia laid claim to the damaged ship and were able to bring the vessel back online within 2 years’ time. With the significant firepower and space provided by the Farabarrium, the Shirsask Kaia decided to put down roots in the Diaspora and operate as a trade hub and salvage way station. The Shirsask Kaia were quick to negotiate a lucrative protection deal with the Free Captains in return for offering priority maintenance for all Free Captain vessels. Now the Farabarrium is a well-known hot spot of trade activity within the Diaspora and a noteworthy pit stop for travelers scouring the forgotten reaches of the asteroid belt.”
The Farabarrium is easily one of my favourite parts of the setting. There’s a lot of the old school Star Wars book EU in her. A salvaged warship that’s been converted by ratfolk to serve as a mobile salvage and repair station among the pirate asteroids of the Diaspora. She has that blue collar science fiction sensibility that I just delight in.
From Eox, the blasted undead world that destroyed itself in the process of shattering two worlds into what would become the Diaspora asteroid belt:
“The vast, flat, northern reaches of Eox are known as Lacustria Hollow, the basin of what was once the arctic Lacustria Sea. Though no major settlements exist here, the area is littered with the wrecked remains of airships, diving spheres, sailing vessels, submarines, and underwater cities from the time when it was a thriving ocean beneath an eternal ice pack. What appear to be centuries of experimental ships, shattered strongholds, submerged ports, and wrecks suggest that before the planet was devastated, the Lacustria Sea was extremely active and saw trade, naval battles, eldritch wars, and even attempts to settle the seafloor.”
From both an archaeological and also a cosmic horror point of view, Eox is fascinating. They wiped themselves out and literally turned their entire planet undead, but before that, they were apparently already having Cthulhu-esque exploration and wars and attempted submarine colonisation efforts in the icy seas beneath their polar ice caps. There’s a ghostly city mentioned later on called Grim Reach out here that appears to be a pre-cataclysm city at the bottom of this sea, but that isn’t built as an underwater city, but an open air one, so what the hell happened up here?
From the gas giant of Liavara, one of my favourite planets in this system … actually, there’s a couple of things from Liavara, I love this place, so a small sampling:
“The only true settlement on Liavara is the floating city of Roselight, a series of transparent aluminum and polycarbonate domes atop a mechanical thruster platform, built almost exclusively as a carefully managed gas-mining outpost. […] Although it exists solely for Liavara’s tightly controlled gas-mining industry, Roselight is a surprisingly beautiful city—a floating platform of steel and polycarbon capped with transparent aluminum domes of varying sizes that catch the light filtering through Liavara’s peach-colored clouds to shimmer like giant soap bubbles. The tight restrictions on the city result in an environment not dissimilar from a space station, as everything in the city, including air and water, must be recycled.”
“Deep Station. The depths of a gas giant are a fascinating subject for researchers, and this research facility, complete with a tiny shrine to Yaraesa, floats at a depth where the pressure is too intense for most structures to retain integrity. Deep Station was built with a sturdier infrastructure than most vessels transporting staff and supplies to and from the station, so while the station could go deeper into Liavara’s atmosphere, it would then be unable to receive support. The pressure and electromagnetic fields at such depths usually wreak havoc with standard communications systems, but recently transmissions from Deep Station have stopped altogether. Colleagues at Deep Station’s partner institutions would deeply love to find a starship crew with a ship hardy enough to brave the gas giant’s depths to investigate.”
“Old Hulk. Before Roselight was established, gas mining on Liavara was conducted from a scrappy mechanical platform built sometime during the Gap. It had already failed by the time history resumed, abandoned and left to deteriorate within the planet’s depths. Its buoyancy engines, however, retain at least some level of functionality, and the platform bobs between the upper and lower layers of the planet’s atmosphere. This erratic elevation means that sometimes the derelict structure “surfaces” from the clouds below, like the corpse of a mechanical whale, floating for a few hours or days before sinking back into the unbearable pressure of the planet’s depths.”
While the moons of Liavara are fascinating, it’s the installations and cities within the atmosphere of the gas giant itself that fascinate me. Possibly you can blame Lando Calrissian and Cloud City from Star Wars, but there’s just something about the imagery of a gas giant and the flying/floating cities within it. It’s a weird combination of sky and ocean, of clouds and storms and massive winds, but also crush depths, canned air, and resource management. Deep Station being lost to the depths, the ragged ghost of the Old Hulk rising periodically like a shipwreck, the Flying Dutchman, while Roselight shimmers like a soap bubble and bristles with port-slash-industrial city concerns. Liavara is such a fantastic picture of a planet.
From the incredibly turbulent skies of the gas giant Bretheda:
“Eyes of the Ancients. For ages, three cyclones of epic proportions have churned in a symbiotic maelstrom in the southern hemisphere of Bretheda’s turbulent atmosphere. Mentions of these storms appear in records dating long before the Gap, even among societies with only the most basic of telescopic technology, and the violence of each storm is enough to tear apart even the sturdiest of vessels. Yet satellite imagery shows an apparently calm center cradled between the three, with faint signals suggesting that there might be some kind of settlement or structure nestled within the clouds here. Worshipers of Triune, citing the trifold nature of both their deity and the storms, insist that the structure must be a shrine to their deity, while others point to the inscrutable nature of the signal as fitting for a site holy to Ibra. More skeptical voices dismiss both claims as far less likely than the structure being nothing more than a remnant of a starship caught in the storms and eventually swept to the central area— though for a ship to have survived the crushing power of the Eyes would require an extraordinary quality of construction, likely beyond that currently seen in the Pact Worlds. Regardless of which theory, if any, is correct, no pilots have yet managed to navigate the Eyes or succeed at a direct descent from orbit into the center.”
You know in Event Horizon, that ominous first shot of the ship herself hanging above the eye of a storm in the atmosphere of Neptune? I feel like this mysterious object very much has that vibe, to the point where I wonder if it was a direct inspiration. But man, I really want to discover a survivable way down to this thing so I can poke at its mysteries (and possibly die horribly to them).
The gas giants in this system are so fun. And, again, it is probably noticeable that I grew up on the likes of Alien and Event Horizon. And Star Trek, you’d think there’d be more influence from that, but I just … I like cosmic horror and I like blue collar science fiction. I like transport systems and unions and logistics and air recycling systems, and I also like mysterious objects hanging in impassible planetary storms and evidence of Lovecraftian wars beneath the vanished seas of a death world.
This is such a good setting. Such a good setting. I love the worldbuilding so much.

i have been tagged by the lovely @lauda4theback to share five facts about myself. A nice distraction and an opportunity to share so thank you <3
1. I got a concussion when I was like 5 years old, I fell off a climbing frame (in a park named after JFK) and landed on my back/head. This was treated with (free) ice-cream and calpol :) oh and that thing in movies where someone wakes up and there's a circle of people around them, 100% accurate 2. I have a scar from where I lost a fight with a plant :( that shit was as sharp as a knife, do not mess with reeds kids 3. My uncle was a rally driver here in Ireland, he was alright 4. I can't read or watch Black Beauty without crying, idk what it is about that particular story but it is guaranteed I will end in tears, it's actually so bad that Lloyd's bank ads get me weepy 5. My dad appears to be cursed to be unable to catch fish, to the point that an entire village of fishermen refused to take him on their boats because he's cursed. The evidence for this was that repeatedly any boat he was on wouldn't catch fish while other boats right beside them would. I witnessed this myself when I went out fishing with him once. I am not cursed, I caught fish, he didn't.
no pressure tagging @f1-disaster-bi @vespercat @rockingpeeble @nico-di-genova @no00000000 and anyone else who feels like it <3

A Halloween Miracle – Ice (PSF #16)
PSF Ficography | H&F Flash Ficography
Genre: Fluff, romance, slice of life
Prompt: Wearing each other’s clothes (@flufftober) / Dare: Make a donation to the food bank (@slumberpartybingo Fall Flash)
Word Count: 5,228
Pairing: Reader x Ice
World: High&Low
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
You checked your reflection in the mirror again, biting your lip nervously. It wasn’t your first date with Ice yet it felt as if it was. How could you not feel at least a bit self-conscious with him, though? He was such a beautiful man with an incredible, and expensive, sense of fashion.
Not to mention how strong he is or how much money he has. You were his complete opposite. Fashion meant nothing to you and you were perfectly happy just wearing loose, comfortable clothing. You never spent more than fifty bucks on an article of clothing, not just because it felt wrong, but also because you didn’t have that kind of spare cash to blow.
Ice oftentimes tried to buy you things but you always told him no. You felt wrong accepting gifts from him, especially since he seemed to choose the most expensive gifts possible. The last thing you wanted was for him to think you were a gold digger, just dating him for his money.
You even insisted on paying your half of the bill when he took you out to dinner, something that really frustrated him. He knew you worked hard for your money and that it was always tight for you, yet you insisted on paying.
The first time you had gone out together, he had chosen an expensive restaurant and you ended up not having enough to pay for your half. It was one of the most embarrassing nights of your life and you still hate thinking about it.
Taking a deep breath, you grabbed your keys and headed outside to wait for Ice to arrive. The cold autumn air curled around you like a blanket, bringing goosebumps to your skin and a smile to your face. Autumn was your favorite time of year and you loved the cold.
Ice’s black Bentley pulled up to the curb and he stepped out, smiling when he saw you. “Hey, baby,” he greeted, pressing a kiss to your cheek before leading you to the passenger’s side, pulling the door open for you. As soon as you were safely inside, he closed the door and returned to the driver’s seat.
When you first met Ice, you saw how viciously he fought, how cruel he could be. You never would have imagined that he could be such a gentleman, that he could be so soft and kind to you.
“Where do you want to go?” He questioned, taking your hand in his, fingers lacing together.
You bit your lip, knowing how drastically your interests were. A good date to him was an expensive restaurant before heading to the club to party. A good date to you was staying indoors and watching a movie or going for a walk together at the park.
He waited patiently for you to answer, rubbing his thumb against your hand.
“Can we… visit the autumn fair?” you asked softly.
“Sure.” He pressed a kiss to your hand before putting the car in park and pulling away from the curb. Music was playing softly in the background, the heater turned on low to stave off the chill.
You shifted against the leather seat, turning your gaze to the window as the city passed by in a blur of silver and orange. It didn’t take long to reach the fair and the place was packed, mostly with families and their kids. You felt guilty forcing him to come here and it honestly made you feel a bit childish.
As you climbed out of the car, you offered him a sheepish smile. “If you don’t want to be here, we can go somewhere else…?”
Ice just smiled, putting his arm around your shoulders and tugging you against his side. “Nah. I haven’t been to a fair in years, it’ll be a nice change.”
“Are you sure?”
His dark eyes met yours, fingers pushing your chin up so he could claim your lips. “Positive, baby.”
You nodded, a smile slipping onto your face. He let you take the lead, following you around as you bounced from one ride to the next, tackling each game booth that they had. You weren’t very good at them, not once winning a prize, but Ice dominated each one, allowing you to choose the item you wanted.
The loud sounds of the rides along with the sea of people was enough to cover the soft thunder above, the night sky slowly filling with dark clouds. Though it felt as if you had been there for only a few minutes, several hours passed by and the fair was getting ready to close. Most of the families had already cleared out, leaving only couples and groups of teens.
The wind was picking up, the temperature dropping as rain approached. Despite loving the cold, you were starting to shiver. You regretted not wearing your hoodie, but you worried Ice wouldn’t like the way it looked on you because it was baggy and quite old.
He shrugged out of his jacket, draping it over your shoulders. The scent of his cologne filled your nostrils and you smiled, sticking your arms through the sleeves. It was still warm from his body.
“Thank you.”
He pressed a kiss to your temple. “I can’t let my baby get sick. Let’s get you home before the rain starts.”
“Okay.” You followed him back to the car, sliding into the passenger seat. “Thank you for today. I had a lot of fun.”
He quirked a brow at you before returning his eyes to the road. “When are you going to stop thanking me for taking you on dates?”
“At least once more, Mr. Ice,” you grinned, quoting the Pirates of the Caribbean. It was the movie you both watched on your first date, so it held a special place in your heart. It was also just a really good movie.
Ice chuckled, a smile coming to his lips as he thought back to that day. It had started out as a disaster of a blind date, set up by your friend who Pearl was desperately trying to get with. Bernie was supposed to be your date but he got food poisoning at the last minute. Everyone else was busy except for Jesse and Ice, the former flat-out refusing.
Ice didn’t want to go, either, but Pearl was his family and he needed help so the leader agreed.
He honestly didn’t think much of you, at first. Despite being at a club, you were wearing baggy shorts, a hoodie, and sneakers. You had no interest in dancing or drinking and you acted as if you wanted to be anywhere else. He thought you were cute, but you were nothing compared to the hotties he usually pulled.
He expected the night to pass by in awkward silence, but you tried to get to know him, striking up a conversation repeatedly even when it died out. Usually his dates were all over him by now, complimenting his watch, the diamonds in his ears or the chain around his neck. You didn’t care about any of that. Even when he told you that he owned a club and a bunch of expensive cars, you weren’t interested.
When he mentioned his music, though, you became very interested. You had always admired musicians, not just for their talent but for their confidence. They bore their souls for the world to see and they did so proudly despite the fear of rejection. Ice was surprised by just how animated you became when discussing the topic and, as the night wore on, he began to warm up to you.
He offered to take you home when it became glaringly obvious that you no longer wanted to be inside the club. Rather than fawn over his expensive car, you were hesitant to even look at it for fear of somehow messing it up. He thought it was cute how he had to coax you inside, assuring you that it was highly unlikely that you would.
He found himself driving slower than he needed to because he was enjoying spending time with you. You were so different from the people he usually hung around with and it was refreshing to him. He remembers how relieved he had felt when you spotted the sign for the drive-in movie theater. It was playing the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and you asked him if he would be interested.
You were surprised when he said yes but you certainly weren’t complaining. He was not your type at all, yet you felt drawn to him, drawn to the strong aura he possessed. You weren’t sure why but you felt safe around him, comfortable even. That’s not to say you also didn’t feel nervous, as well, given the extreme differences between you, but he just had this way of making you completely forget about your worries for a time.
“What are you grinning about?” He wondered, quirking a brow at you as he pulled up in front of your house.
“I was just thinking about the day we met,” you replied, sending him a soft smile. “Things didn’t start out too well, but I’m happy with how it ended.”
He smirked, reaching over to grip your chin in his hand. “Just how happy are you, hm?”
“Very,” you breathed out, finding yourself leaning toward him.
“Show me,” he ordered, lips brushing against your own. A sudden clap of thunder rattled the car windows and made you jump, heart racing within your chest. He clicked his tongue. “The rain’s about to start, you should get inside.”
“Right…” You stepped out of the vehicle, heading toward the door with him close behind. You reached into your pocket for your keys only to frown when they weren’t there. You checked your other pocket but they weren’t there either. Dread filled you. “Shit…”
“What’s wrong?”
“I lost my keys…” you sent him a panicked look and he rested his large hand on top of your head, giving you a calming look.
“You probably dropped them in the car.”
The two of you started back toward the car when the thunder boomed again. The sky opened up, sheets of rain falling down on top of you. You cried out in surprise when the ice-cold water hit you, easily soaking through the t-shirt you wore.
“Get in!” Ice ordered, rushing to the passenger side to open the door for you despite his designer clothes getting soaked. When he finally made it inside, you frowned at the water dripping down his face.
“I’m so sorry,” you apologized, lowering your head.
“For what?” He quirked a brow at you in confusion.
“You got wet because I lost my keys… and now your seats are gonna be ruined…”
He chuckled, his voice soft. “You have nothing to apologize for. Do you see them?”
“Oh, um…” you started to feel between the seats, looking on the floor and reaching beneath the seat but your keys were nowhere in sight. “They’re not here. Oh my god, what am I going to do? My roommate won’t be back until tomorrow night!”
“Hey, calm down,” he called softly, resting his hand against the back of your neck. “You can stay with me tonight.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.” He started up the car, pulling away from the curb.
The closer you got to his apartment, the more nervous you became. You hadn’t ever been to his place before and now you were gonna be staying the night. You took a few deep breaths, hands clenching and unclenching as you tried to calm yourself down.
The apartment building was just as you expected – a twenty-five-story building that sat in the eastern district of the city. It’s where all the rich people lived and the air just felt different there, though it was hard to explain why.
“Welcome back, Ice-sama.” The old man at the reception desk bowed to him but the male didn’t spare him a glance as he approached the elevator.
You hugged yourself tightly, feeling super uncomfortable between the wet clothes clinging to you, your missing keys and the fear of spending the night at Ice’s place. You were honestly scared that he would expect something from you in return and you just weren’t ready for that.
His apartment was huge, filled with expensive-looking furniture and decorations, most of which were music-themed. “The bathroom is down the hall. Go take a shower and I’ll find you something to wear.”
You swallowed nervously, watching as he disappeared down the opposite hall. You knew you had to get out of these clothes and a warm shower sounded lovely right about now, but were you really okay being naked in his apartment? And he was going to bring you some clothes… what if he decided to join you?
Your heart hammered against your ribs as you entered the bathroom, locking the door behind you. Your hands trembled as you undressed, but you couldn’t be sure if it was because of the cold or the nerves. Probably both.
You slowly slid the clothes off your body, turning on the water so it could warm up.
There was a knock on the door and you tensed, waiting for him to try the doorknob but he didn’t. “Baby, I’m gonna leave the clothes on the table, okay?”
“Y-Yeah! Thank you.” You pressed your ear to the door, listening to his footsteps fade before you cracked open the door, snatching up the clothes before shutting the door again. You showered quickly and started to get dressed.
His scent lingered on the clothes, mixed with the smell of the laundry detergent, and you inhaled deeply, feeling a wave of calm wash over you. You picked up your wet clothes, not wanting to just leave them on the floor.
Ice was sitting on the sofa, changed into grey sweatpants and a black shirt that hugged his body. A towel sat around his neck as he dried his short hair. You assumed there were two bathrooms and he had used the other one.
“Um,” you shifted nervously in the doorway when he looked up at you. “Where should I put these?”
“Here, I’ll take them.” He pulled himself off the sofa, taking the wad of clothes from your hands before disappearing down the hall. He returned a moment later, confused as to why you hadn’t moved. His hand found the small of your back, gently pushing you toward the sofa.
You felt as if you should say something but your mind was drawing blanks, too preoccupied with the rising nerves within your system. He settled down beside you, putting his arm around you to pull you closer.
“I have a surprise for you, baby,” he commented softly, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
You watched curiously as he picked up the remote, turning on the TV. you recognized the music immediately, eyes snapping over to see the menu screen for the Pirates of the Caribbean. A bright smile came to your lips and he could feel the tension leaving your body.
“After our first date, I ordered the limited edition set.”
“Limited edition?” Your wide eyes fell on him, knowing exactly what he meant. “But that thing is like 300 bucks!”
He hummed, fingers brushing against the back of your neck. “It was worth it. I’ll show you the set later, if you want.”
“Please! I was eyeing it for ages but they stopped selling it by the time I saved up enough.” You shook your head, folding your arms over your chest.
Ice hummed again as he pressed play, already knowing what he wanted to do. A soft smile came to his lips as he watched your eyes light up, focused completely on the TV screen. He felt so much love for you in his heart and it felt so foreign to him. He had hated it at first because it scared him, but now he craved more.
He pulled you even closer until you were practically on his lap, arms wrapping around your waist. You leaned into his warmth, head resting on his firm chest.
“I love you, baby,” he whispered, lips brushing against your cheek, feeling your skin grow warm.
“I love you, too,” you breathed out, hands resting over his arms.
You made it through three movies before you started yawning and Ice suggested it was time for bed. He didn’t think twice about sharing the bed with you because you were dating, you had been for a while, but you were nervous as hell.
Truth be told, you were a virgin who had never gone beyond kissing anyone before. You figured Ice was the opposite, having quite a few notches in his belt. That didn’t bother you, it was long before you started dating, but you assumed he had an expectation. How long was too long to date without getting intimate? You knew you weren’t ready but you were afraid he might leave you if you refused him.
Your heart raced within your chest as he led you into his bedroom. The bed was huge, fit for a king, with a plush black and white comforter. As he pulled back the covers, he took notice of how tense you were and a frown tugged at his lips. “You okay?”
“Y-Yeah!” you replied quickly, forcing a smile.
He knew you were lying. He said your name, hand on his hip. “Tell me.”
You shifted nervously under his piercing gaze, mumbling under your breath.
“What?” He stepped closer to you. “I couldn’t hear what you said.”
You screwed your eyes shut, fists clenching at your sides. “I-I’m a virgin!”
Ice was both taken aback and confused. He knew you were vastly different from the people he usually dated, but a virgin? He definitely hadn’t expected that. Why were you suddenly bringing it up, though? At first, he thought that you trusted him enough to confide such information to him.
His eyes scanned your tense body, taking in the way your fists trembled slightly, how your eyes remained closed, and the deep frown that marred your face. He knew he was wrong. You weren’t confiding in him, you were worried about it.
“Baby,” he called out softly, closing the distance and resting his hands on your upper arms. “I’m not going to force you to do anything you’re not comfortable with.”
You slowly peeled open your eyes, expecting to see him looking annoyed to some degree, but his eyes were filled with warmth. “You’re… you’re really okay with it?”
“Of course, I am. What kind of person do you think I am?” He hadn’t meant to sound so harsh, but he was hurt that your mind had even gone there.
“I’m sorry, I…”
Ice exhaled sharply to calm himself before pulling you into his arms. Despite the tense situation, he felt you relax in his grip. “I love you and I’m just happy spending time with you. I won’t do anything you’re uncomfortable with, but you have to tell me what those things are, understand?”
You nodded, fingers curling around his shirt. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be. Let’s get some sleep, okay?” He paused as he considered his words. “Unless you’d like to sleep in the guest room instead?”
“No,” you mumbled against his chest, cheeks darkening. “I wanna stay with you.”
He chuckled, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “Whatever you want, baby.”
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
Sun streamed through the cracks in the curtains and you shifted, eyes fluttering open. You instantly felt the lack of Ice’s presence behind you, his side of the bed cols to the touch. With a yawn, you crawled out of bed to search for him but the apartment was empty. Upon checking your phone, you found a new message from him.
-> Had to go deal with a problem at the club. Stay as long as you want, baby.
You quickly messaged back, telling him that you hoped everything was okay. It felt strange being alone in his apartment and, truth be told, you felt kind of happy that he trusted you around all of his items. He had more faith in you than you had in yourself because you feared you would break whatever you touched.
You glanced at the clock and cursed. It was almost time for your shift at the food bank so you needed to hurry up and get ready. You searched for your clothes, finding them in the laundry room. He had tossed them in the washer but hadn’t turned it on and you didn’t have enough time to do it yourself.
You bit your lip, tugging your phone from your pocket. He still hadn’t responded to you so you hesitated to send another. You knew you had no choice but to wear his clothes if you wanted to get to the food bank on time. If you asked to borrow his clothes but he didn’t reply immediately, only to say no later, it would be awkward as hell when he found out you had done it anyway.
“Damn it,” you cursed, returning to his room.
His closet opened up into the next room, overflowing with fashionable clothes from brands you couldn’t even pronounce. Your eyes scanned the items as you slowly walked through the room, looking for something that was close to your style but also something that didn’t look as if it cost a couple of grand.
You found a basketball jersey that was big on you but super comfortable, along with a pair of jeans that had a hole on the left knee. You assumed they were old and not worth much because of it. They were also big on you and you had to roll up the pant legs so they weren’t dragging against the ground. Securing them with a belt, you nodded in satisfaction before grabbing your shoes and leaving the apartment.
Ice had left a spare key for you on the table so you were able to lock the door behind you.
Taking a deep breath of the cold autumn air, you smiled and started to run down the sidewalk, leaves crunching beneath your feet. Because of how far the food bank was from the upper district, you were three minutes late for your shift.
The other volunteers jumped in surprise when you slammed the door open, breathing heavily as your lungs tried to suck in air. Your side was in stitches, heart beating hard against your ribs and your legs felt like jelly.
“You’re late,” scolded Mako, eyes narrowed and arms folded over his chest.
“S-Sorry!” you quickly bowed to him before rushing over to your station.
“Our doors open in five minutes!” he announced, raising his voice so everyone could hear him. “Remember to be kind. These people are struggling and are hungry. Kind smiles, soft words. Be polite!”
The food bank was a large rectangular building divided down the center. On the right side was the kitchen where the homeless could come and get some freshly made soup to fill their bellies. On the left was the food bank where you worked, handing out groceries to families who couldn’t afford the overly priced items at the store.
Kai, your friend and coworker, leaned toward you with a frown. “How are we supposed to act cheery when we’re nearly out of food?”
“Eh?” You looked at him in surprise. “What do you mean?”
“The supply truck was robbed and all the food was taken. We have enough for maybe two days, depending on how many people show up.”
A frown tugged at your lips, a sad feeling settling in your gut. You were forced to push those negative feelings away as the doors were opened and people began to flood the building. You forced a smile as you greeted the woman at the front of the line, trying not to worry too much.
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
“Oi, are you still alive?” Sarah snapped her fingers in front of your face, knocking you from your thoughts.
“Sorry,” you sent her an apologetic look. “What were you saying?”
The two of you were relaxing at the back of the club, far removed from the crowd of people dancing and drinking. The walls were thick enough to block most of the sound, though you could still hear the faint bumping of the bass.
She hummed, sitting back on the couch and crossing her legs. “You’ve been distracted all day. Did you fight with Ice or something?”
“No, of course not!” you replied quickly, holding your hands up as if in surrender. “It’s just…”
“Just what?”
Honestly, you doubted she would care but you needed to get it off your chest because you couldn’t stop worrying about it. “I work at the food bank downtown.”
She sent you a surprised look which you didn’t notice because you were staring at your lap. She knew you had a job and did odd jobs sometimes for extra cash, something she found strange. She had grown to know Ice well and she had been surprised to learn that he wasn’t taking care of you.
She had no idea that, when you weren’t working, you were volunteering. She briefly wondered if Ice knew.
“The supply truck was attacked and we barely have enough food left for tomorrow. What are we going to do?” You frowned, running your hand through your hair in frustration. “All of us pooled together what little bit of money we had but it didn’t buy much. Donations have gone down a lot this year and I don’t know if we can recover from this.”
Sarah watched as you stood up with a groan, pacing back and forth. This was clearly something important to you but she didn’t even have to ask if you had told Ice. She knew you hadn’t because you feel bad using his money. Even if it was for a good cause, you felt guilty asking him to spend his money for you.
Sarah had no qualms about this, though.
She pulled herself off the couch, resting a hand on your shoulder. “I’m sure you’ll find a way.”
You gave her a grateful smile that didn’t quite reach your eyes. “Thank you and thank you for listening to me ramble.”
“That’s what friends are for.”
───── ⋆⋅🍂⋅⋆ ─────
Mako looked worried as he approached you, eyes glancing to the storage room behind you. He tugged you away from the line of people, lowering his voice. “How is it?”
You shook your head with a frown. “Not good. We have two loaves of bread, one gallon of milk, three boxes of cereal and a jar of peanut butter. There’s no way we can stretch that out for all of these people.”
Mako scowled in frustration, running a hand through his brown hair. “Shit. Did you call up everyone on that list I gave you?”
“Yes. All of them said they weren’t in a position to help us right now…”
“Of course not,” he huffed, folding his arms over his chest. “We’ve exhausted all of our options. We have no choice but to close our doors for now.”
“But, Mako-san -” You bit your lip, eyes scanning the room full of people that were waiting for their food. “We can’t just -“
“I know!” He snapped angrily, startling the people nearby. He sent them an apologetic look before leaning toward you. “I know that, but we don’t have any choice.” Mako took a few deep breaths before stepping over to the center of the room, clearing his throat. “Can I have everyone’s attention, please?”
The soft voices of the crowd slowly disappeared until the room was silent, everyone staring at him. Your heart ached, the other employees exchanging sad looks because they already knew what he was going to say.
“A couple of days ago, the supply truck bringing us food for the next month was attacked and the food taken. Because of this…” He paused, biting his lip as the crowd shifted nervously, exchanging worried looks.
Your phone buzzed in your pocket and you tugged it out, seeing your boyfriend’s name on the screen. You tried your best not to sound sad or worried, turning your back to Mako as if that would block the sound. “I can’t talk right now, I’m -“
Ice cut you off. “Come outside, baby.“
“Huh?”
“Trust me.”
With a furrowed brow, you made your way through the crowd, stepping outside. You shivered as the cold wind wrapped around you, but that was the last thing on your mind. You instantly recognized the shiny supercars that sat in front of the food bank and your heart skipped a beat. What were the Mighty Warriors doing here?
The door to Ice’s car opened and he stepped out, eyes locking with yours.
“What are you doing here?” you questioned, watching as the others exited their vehicles and started to direct large box trucks into the parking lot. “What’s going on?”
His hands found your waist, a frown on his lips. “You should have told me.”
“Sarah told you, didn’t she?”
“Yes and I’m glad she did.”
The breath was knocked from your lungs when Bernie opened the back of the truck, revealing boxes upon boxes filled with food items. It was way more than what the food bank usually received in a month’s time.
“Ice,” you breathed out, tears stinging at your eyes. “That had to cost so much, I… I swear I’ll pay you back!”
He scoffed in disbelief. “You still don’t get it, do you?”
“Huh?” You looked at him in confusion, cheeks darkening when he took you by the chin, leaning his face toward your own.
“You’re mine, baby. Everything I own belongs to you, too. My money is your money and that?” His gaze flickered to the truck before finding yours again with an intensity you had only seen when he was fighting. “That is a small price to pay for your happiness.”
“Ice, I -“
He cut you off with his lips, hand pressing against the small of your back to bring your body against his. You tilted your head to deepen the kiss, arms wrapping around his neck.
Mako slowly stepped outside, his eyes wide as he watched the men carrying the boxes inside. “It’s a Christmas miracle!”
The comment made you laugh, breaking the kiss. You sent your boyfriend an apologetic look before addressing Mako. “It’s October, Mako-san.”
“I know that,” he huffed, looking a bit embarrassed and intimidated by the large man you were standing next to. “But a Halloween miracle hardly has the same ring to it.”
“That’s fair,” you laughed, turning your attention back to your boyfriend.
He adored the way your eyes sparkled with happiness and love. He knew then that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you, that he wanted to spend the rest of his life making you happy.
His forehead rested against your own. “Move in with me.”
You looked at him in surprise. “Eh?”
“I want to live with you,” he explained softly, pulling you into a slow, sensual kiss. “For the rest of my life.”
Your cheeks burned at the implication of the words and you were unable to hold back your smile as you nodded, claiming his lips again.

Fire & Ice - Chapter 2
The case was over, the danger was gone and they could go home and finally celebrate Christmas.

He wakes up suddenly.
It takes a moment for everything to register, his mind blank as he tries to remember falling asleep in the first place. It all comes back at once.
The patch of ice he hadn’t seen until it was too late. The pain in his head from where it had hit the steering wheel, the ache in his ribs from where the seatbelt had held him in place as the car span out of control and hit a tree.
He groans as he blinks repeatedly, trying and failing to clear his vision, to lessen the ache in his head. He slowly turns his head to look at Detective Rooney, to check in on the man who had been with him, but his eyes widen when he realises he’s not there, the empty seat and space where the passenger door should have been staring back at him.
He grunts as he undoes his seatbelt, his instinct to find the other man, to make sure he is okay, overriding any concern about his own injuries. He tries to push open the door on his side of the car but it’s jammed, crumpled shut, so he climbs over the centre console, his body burning with pain in protest and he steps out onto the snow-covered ground, the sound of it crunching below his unsteady feet.
It was dark, his eyes straining as they adjust so he could see. He opens his mouth to yell out Detective Rooney’s name, chastising himself internally as it takes a second for the other man’s first name to come back to him.
“David,” he yells out, looking around, walking carefully further down the bank they’d crashed into, “Dav-”
He stops as he spots him lying in a creek, and he comes close to losing his footing as he speeds up, almost falling over as he makes it to the other man’s side. He thinks nothing of it as he slips into the water, the shock of the cold stealing the breath from his lungs as he reaches for Detective Rooney, the pain in his ribs only increasing as he lifts him out of the water, laying him down on the snow-covered ground.
He collapses next to him, any adrenaline he had fading, his breath stuttering as his wet clothes stick to his skin, the cold seeping into him. He thinks of his phone still in the car, cursing himself for leaving it behind in his attempt to find Detective Rooney.
He slips into unconsciousness again, the cold and his injuries finally catching up with him.
___
Emily blows out a breath as she checks her watch again, nerves starting to spark in her stomach, the feeling switching from impatience to concern as more time passed, “What’s taking so long? And why isn’t Aaron answering his damn phone.”
They’d been gone almost twice as long as Aaron said they’d be. The team had finished packing everything up and were just waiting to go home, something they were all keen to do as soon as possible. She’d tried to call him more than once and sent a few texts that had remained unanswered.
“They probably just got caught up at the jail, Detective Rooney did say that there was barely any cell service on route,” Dave says, his smile wry, “You’ll get your boyfriend back soon enough.”
She rolls her eyes at him, but any response is cut off as JJ stands up, her own desire to get home clear, “I’ll call the county jail,” she says, pulling her phone out of her pocket, “See what’s going on.”
Emily smiles at her friend as she walks away and she checks her phone again, sighing at the time before her smile widens at the picture of her and Aaron that she had was her wallpaper. She’d changed it from a picture of Sergio when they told the team about them, an urge she didn’t fully understand to put their relationship, their love, on display forcing her to switch it. It was a selfie she’d taken of the two of them on a recent date night, their cheeks pressed together and wide smiles on both of their faces.
“Never took Hotch as a selfie kind of guy.”
She smiles tightly at Derek as she looks up at him. At first, she thinks he’s being snarky again, but she can see the soft look in his eyes, the half he’s offering her. It was an olive branch, the first sign of recognition that he’d been unfair to her.
“Well,” she says, locking her phone and slipping it back into her pocket, “I have my ways to convince him,” she raises her eyebrows at him, and he grimaces, something that makes her chuckle, “He is my boyfriend, Derek - we do have se-”
“We’ve got a problem,” JJ says as she walks back over, her shoulder tense, and Emily feels the spark of worry in her stomach catch fire, making her belly roll.
“What’s wrong?”
JJ sighs as she grips her phone, her eyes full of sympathy that makes Emily angry in a way she knows her friend doesn’t deserve, “They left over two hours ago,” she says, “They should have been here by now.”
It feels like the earth shifts beneath Emily, making her glad she’s sitting down, all the worst case scenarios briefly overwhelming her, “Wh…what? Then where the hell are they?”
She’s never been more grateful for Derek’s ability to take over a situation, the man passing out instructions to everyone. He tells JJ to call Penelope so she can track Aaron’s phone, he tells Dave to try calling him again and gets Spencer to look over the route they would have taken on a map.
It’s only when Derek places his hand on her arm and squeezes that she realises she’d been frozen in place, her eyes fixed on the wall ahead of them. She snaps her head to look at him, the kindness in his smile enough to make her want to yell at him.
“Everything will be fine, Princess,” he says, squeezing her arm again, “They probably just got stuck in some snow somewhere.”
She nods, not quite sure she believes him, because life had never been quite that kind to her, “Yeah,” she replies, swallowing thickly, “Everything will be fine.”
She doesn’t think she’s ever been so terrified when Penelope calls back and confirms Aaron’s phone hasn’t moved for over an hour.
___
Derek refuses to let her come at first, a stern look on his face as he tries to stop her from getting in the SUV with him and Spencer. She makes it clear, in no uncertain terms, that she is going with them, her winter jacket already on as she climbs into the passenger seat.
The journey is tense, quiet, and every mile stretches out ahead of them as Derek drives.
“Can’t we go any faster?” She asks for the dozenth time, picking at her thumbnail, the sting of it distracting her from everything else, from the fact she didn’t know what had happened to the man she loves.
“Not in these conditions,” Derek replies, his patience with her irritating.
“The place where Penelope tracked Hotch’s phone is just around this bend,” Spencer says from the back of the car.
Derek frowns, “Are you sure, there’s nothing out here?”
“I have an Eidetic memory,” Spencer quips as the car comes to a stop, “That’s why you had me look at the maps and brought me along-”
“Guys,” Emily says, already unbuckling her seat belt as Derek parks up. She frowns as she sees something metallic, the headlights of the SUV catching it before they switch off with the engine, “I think I see something.”
She grabs her flashlight and is out of the car in seconds, Derek just behind her as she spots the car Aaron and Detective Rooney had left the precinct in earlier. She gasps at the sight of it, the metal wrapped around a tree, and she barely registers Derek calling back to Spencer and asking him to call for backup and an ambulance. She gets closer to the car, ignoring Derek’s insistence that she’s careful. She shines the flashlight in the car and swallows thickly when she sees that it is empty.
“They aren’t here,” she says as she turns back to Derek. Her chest feels tight, anxiety she can barely hide anymore filling her lungs, “Where the fuck are they?”
“They can’t have gone far,” Derek says, he shines his flashlight down the hill next to them, and he stops, his eyes going wide as he spots the two men next to the creek, “Em…”
She turns, and her breath catches in her chest, her ribs aching with it as she tries and fails to breathe back out.
“Aaron.”
“Hotch.”
She and Derek yell out simultaneously, the sight of him lying on the ground, just a few feet from Detective Rooney, enough to make them briefly freeze on the spot. She almost loses her footing as she slides down the small hill, and she grazes her hand on the ground as she puts it out to steady herself, but she doesn’t feel the sting.
Emily kneels next to him, the cold wet feeling of the snow beneath her not registering as it seeps through her pants. She reaches out for him, hesitating momentarily before touching his neck, mentally preparing herself to feel nothing, preemptive grief filling her lungs. She feels a faint pulse, too faint, and gasps at how cold he is, the temperature of his skin enough to make her pull back in shock like she’d been electrocuted.
He was usually so warm.
Derek checks on Detective Rooney and curses under his breath as she shakes his head, “He’s gone,” he says, looking up at Emily, “Is Hotch-”
“He’s alive,” she says, cutting him off before he can finish his sentence, not wanting to even put the words out there. She shrugs her thick winter jacket off her shoulders as she lays it over Aaron, “He’s freezing cold,” she looks around, “Where the fuck is that ambulance?”
“It’s on its way, Em,” Derek says, watching her carefully as she shifts closer to Aaron, pulling his head into her lap as she does her best to stay calm. Derek unzips his jacket and lays it over her shoulders, smiling softly at her as she jumps slightly, her hands already moving to shrug it off and lay it over Aaron. He stops her and shakes his head, playing his hand on her shoulder, “Keep it on, we both know he’d kill me if you have hypothermia when he wakes up.”
She nods, knowing he is right, that Aaron’s first priority is never going to be himself. She reaches for Aaron’s hand, clenching her teeth to stop herself from crying at how cold he is, and she sandwiches it between hers, rubbing her skin against his to try and get some warmth back into him.
“Don’t do that,” Spencer says, appearing out of seemingly nowhere with a blanket he’d pulled from the trunk of the car, “Trying to warm someone's limbs like that can cause stress on the heart and lungs, he could have a heart attack.”
Emily drops Aaron’s hand like she’s been burned and she chokes on a laugh, her breath visible as it is forced out of her chest, “What am I supposed to do? Just sit here?”
Spencer nods, “The hospital isn’t far from here,” he says, “The ambulances should be here soon,” he looks past Aaron to Detective Rooney, “Is he…”
Derek nods, “He’s dead,” he confirms, “I’m not sure how they ended up down here.”
Emily runs her fingers through Aaron’s hair, pulling out snowflakes as she goes, “I’d put money on Aaron doing something stupid and heroic,” she says, shaking her head, a tear finally falling onto her cheek as she hears sirens in the distance, “He never thinks of his own safety.”
If Derek and Spencer have something comforting to say, they don’t say it, and she’s grateful, unable to cope with platitudes as she sits on the cold, wet, ground, cradling the man she loves in her lap.
When the ambulances arrive, Derek has to physically pull her away from Aaron, his grip on her tight as the EMTs do their job.
___
She keeps her eyes fixed on him, the rhythm of his heart rate on the monitor a reassurance she desperately needs.
She’d sent the others back to the hotel. In the morning they’d likely go home, something she knows Aaron will insist on when he wakes up, but she’d stay as long as he was here. The thought of leaving him here something she wouldn’t even entertain, no matter how much he tried to convince her.
She holds his hand, his skin warmer now than it had been earlier but still cooler than usual. She hooks her fingers around his wrist, the feeling of his pulse another reassurance she needed, the thready, slow pulse she’d felt earlier still haunting her. The press of it permanently tattooed into her skin.
If they’d been any later, she could have lost him. That’s what the doctor had told her. If he’d been out there for much longer than he had been he would have died.
The thought alone is enough for tears to press at the back of her eyes as she stares at their linked hands. She knew in the grand scheme of things she hadn’t been with him for long, but she couldn’t imagine her life without him.
“Em?”
She looks up so quickly that her neck pulls, something she barely feels as her eyes meet his, a relieved sigh escaping her as she squeezes his hand.
“Hi,” she says, “How are you feeling?”
He clears his throat, “Sore,” he says, his ribs aching in a way that was familiar from injuries in the past. He shivers, cold seemingly having settled in his bones, even though he was under multiple blankets, “Cold.”
She smiles and stands up, perching on the edge of the bed, needing to be as close to him as possible, “That’s not surprising,” she says, leaning in to stamp a kiss against his lips. When she pulls back she adjusts the cannula delivering him oxygen, making sure it’s straight as she carries on, “You did go for a swim in a creek when it was snowing,” she tries to joke, but it falls flat and he squeezes her hand, “What the hell happened?”
“I lost control of the car,” he says, shaking his head like he’d done something wrong. He frowns as Detective Rooney comes to mind, Emily’s presence - her warmth - having distracted him so far, “Did Rooney…”
He trails off and she sighs, running her thumb back and forth over his wrist, “He didn’t make it,” she says, shifting closer when she sees the guilt flash across his face, “I’m so sorry honey.”
“He had his seatbelt undone,” he says, swallowing thickly, guilt bitter on his tongue, “He was thrown from the car. I found him in the creek,” he says, shivering as if the mere mention of the water makes him cold again, the memory of it, of his wet clothes stuck to his skin, making him tremble, “I tried to save him.”
She sighs as he unknowingly proves her right, and she leans down, resting her forehead against his, “When you’re better,” she says, stamping her lips against his, “We’re going to have a conversation about you putting yourself in danger like that.”
“He has…had a family.”
“And you have one,” she says, her eyes stern as she pulls back to look at him, “How do you think Jack and I would cope if we lost you.”
He smiles at the way she casually refers to herself as his family, and it takes everything in him not to ask her to move in with him on the spot.
“So,” he says, smiling softly, “When can you break me out of here?”
She knows he’s changing the subject so he doesn’t have to talk about it, and she knows they’ll talk about this again. Talk about the guilt he feels about Detective Rooney, and her irritation at him putting himself in a situation where he could have died in order to try and save him. Now wasn’t the time. She’d wait until the were home, when the cold chill that had permeated his skin had gone completely.
She shakes her head lovingly at him, “Between your grade 2 concussion,” she says, pushing his hair out of his face to see the bandage on his forehead, “Your hypothermia and your four cracked ribs, I think you’ll be here for a while, baby,” she smiles as he groans, and she cuts him off before he can reply, “And no, I am not taking you home against medical advice.”
He sighs, but he knows he’d do the same if their positions were reversed, “Well, if you won’t take me home, you should at least get into bed with me,” he says, smiling softly at her, “Warm me up.”
She hesitates, because she doesn’t want to hurt him, but she nods, wanting nothing more than to snuggle up to him, to feel him breath against her. She kisses him once more before she shifts so she can join him in the bed. She’s careful not to jostle him as she pulls him into her side, his arms wrapped around him as she kisses his cheek.
“Better?” She asks quietly and he nods against her, his forehead against her neck.
“Much better,” he replies, pressing a kiss to her collarbone, “I’m sorry we’ll have to delay Christmas again,” he says, tilting his head to look up at her, “And New Year. I know the holidays are important to you.”
She holds him even tighter, “Not as important as you,” she says, kissing his forehead, smiling against his skin, her lips on the edge of the bandage there, as he yawns, “You should get some rest, sweetheart,” she says, pulling back to look at him, “I’ll be right here.”
“Love you,” he says, closing his eyes, his exhaustion taking over.
“Love you too.”
She plays with his hair as he falls asleep, something she knows always helped him relax, and she sighs in relief as he gets heavier against her. She pulls her phone out of her pocket and types out a text to Jessica, hesitating for only a moment before she presses send.
I’ve had an idea. If I book a flight for you and Jack how quickly could you get here?
Only a couple of minutes pass before she gets a reply, the message making her smile wildly.
I’ll start packing!
___
“Daddy has been sleeping a long time.”
Aaron frowns in confusion as he starts to become aware of his surroundings, sure he must still be dreaming if he can hear Jack’s voice. They’d been here for a couple of days now, his release from hospital still several days away, and he missed his son. He’d tried to send Emily home but she’d refused, stubborn in her refusal to barely leave the hospital, let alone the state.
He hears Emily chuckle, “That’s because he needs the sleep to get better, sweet boy,” she says, her voice quieter than Jack’s.
Aaron opens his eyes, his confusion only deepening when he’s met with the sight of Emily sitting on the chair next to his bed, Jack contently curled up in her lap, his focus on a toy that she’d given him to keep him entertained. It makes a tension he hadn’t realised he’d been carrying around in his chest ease, his two favourite people in the world always enough to make him feel better.
“Jack,” Emily says, smiling as her eyes meet Aaron’s, her cheeks warm as he looks at them both with so much love she thinks she could cry, “Look who’s awake.”
Jack looks up, his smile wide as he tries to climb out of Emily’s lap quickly, “Daddy!”
“Careful, Jack,” Emily says, grabbing him and placing him softly on Aaron’s bed, her smile soft as Jack is immediately gentler, “Remember what we said, Daddy will be sore.”
He nods and settles next to his father, “Hi Daddy.”
“Hi buddy,” he says, hugging his son, wincing slightly at the pull in his ribs, “What are you doing here?”
Jack pulls back and smiles at him, “Me and Aunt Jessie flew here today! Emily paid for our flights - I had a huge seat,” he says, his enjoyment of his flight something he hadn’t stopped talking about to Emiyl since he arrived, “We surprised you!”
Aaron chuckles and looks at his girlfriend, “I’m definitely surprised.”
She feels a mix of joy and embarrassment warm her from the inside out, “Jess is at the hotel,” she explains, “Jack wanted to stay here with you and me.”
He smiles at her as he hugs his son, “What made you decide to do this?”
She shrugs as if it’s nothing, as if she hadn’t given him what he himself hadn’t realised he needed, “We missed Christmas together, but we didn’t have to miss New Year together,” her smile soft, “Even if we do have to spend it in a hospital.”
He smiles, everything he wants to say trapped in his chest as he shakes his head in disbelief at how it feels to be loved like this. Something he thinks he’ll spend the rest of his life trying to prove to himself that he deserves.
“Jack,” he says, looking down at his son, leaning in like he was sharing a secret, “I think Emily should come over and snuggle with us, don’t you?”
She rolls her eyes as Jack nods enthusiastically, “Just like at home!”
“Yeah,” Aaron says, looking back at her, unwrapping one arm from around Jack and offering it out to her, She shakes her head and takes his hand, letting herself be guided towards the bed, climbing in on Aaron’s other side, the three of them squished together, the pieces of the family that they were building slotting together perfectly, “Just like at home.”

Bro your art is amazing!! It’s rather more cartoony then rouges and I absolutely love itttt! I got some questions. How would you describe Bendy and Cupheads relationship in your artstyle????
In my style, They are really close besties. They do everything together from robbing ice cream to climbing buildings.
They are like one whole family, Bendy is more cautious tho, he knows when to stop when something gets out of hand unlike some people. Cuphead is like an older brother to Bendy since Bendy still doesn’t know much of the real world.
Bendy is more like a parkour guy, climbing and jumping on buildings to run away from the problems he made from stealing money or robbing a bank. so all that leaves us with the answer of troublemaker besties.
No more being enemies and trying to off each-other, just a wholesome dangerous relationship between two best friends. Also have a drawing with the Cup and the Imp!
