“Can’t Wait for The End”

Is Man the only animal that lives in fear of the future? Polar bears are said to be going extinct, but they don’t seem to look worried. Are we the most cowardly life-form on the planet? How much of that fear comes from our obsession to control—we fear things that we can’t control.

I’m growing impatient and frustrated with climate warming—what’s taking so long? I’m waiting for the end of the world and the world is taking its time to end. I want the icebergs to melt (good riddance), the sea level to rise a few feet (at least), and Greenland to finally live up to its name. And I want this to happen now!

Well, I don’t mean now now. May be more like 30 years from now. But not 50 or 100 or 1,000 years from now. (And as far as polar bears, I’m fine with them going extinct now. I’m sure many seals feel the same way.)

I think it is a privilege to live during a world crisis. The crisier, the better! We should consider ourselves fortunate and just enjoy the moment. The way I figure, if I’m going to die, and I am eventually, I’d love for the rest of the world to die with me. The hardest thing about dying is doing it alone, knowing that there are billions of people who are going to continue living after I’m dead. That sucks! It makes me feel irrelevant.

No wonder that powerful people in some past cultures had their spouses, concubines, pets and servants killed and buried along with them. I get where they’re coming from. I can empathize—they just wanted company.

I just realized. Scientists tell us that the sun will stop sunning in a million years or so and the world is going to end. Not true. The world will end much sooner. The world will end when I die.

They are formed from the breakdown of larger plastic items, such as bottles, bags, and packaging, as well as from the release of synthetic fibers during washing.

Microplastics can also be intentionally manufactured for use in various products.

🌊They can be found in various environments, including freshwater, marine environments, and even in the air we breathe.

⚠️However, due to their small size, they are often difficult to detect and remove, posing potential risks to ecosystems and even human health.

🌍 There is still a way to go but this ban is a great step forward for the planet and our health.

I‘m fasting for 24 hours in protest to raise awareness of the animals. This thought comes from the #AFOTS movement which means #animalsfirstonthesecond The circle/x mark represents an empty plate with unused cutlery. The paint on the hand should trigger conversations about the horrific conditions we are putting those innocent and vulnerable beings in and hopefully to encourage people to face this topic. By the transportation of the animals to the slaughterhouse they don’t receive any food or water for up to 72 hours. That is one reason why we are fasting in solidarity with the animals. For the industry it would just be „a waste of resources“ and it makes the animal easier to handle and to brutalise. We are just consuming animal products because of tradition, education, habit, convenience and for a short moment of pleasure. But are these things more important than a life of a living being?
