Casa Bonita is finally hiring a ton of staff to reopen soon and I know, I KNOW this is for the cliff divers vs. regular entertainers. But it is still fucking hilarious to me.

It kinda hurts a little.

So back in the day in Chicago, I used to work at this “architecture” - really it was an “interior restaurant design” firm.

The Executive VP of Design had the large office right next door to mine. She laughed and compared me to Ron Swanson. I always floated into her office when Tom Waits, Nick Cave, or Ministry, came over her speakers.

We had a really tight relationship.

Fast forward…to today.

She’s literally 12 miles away from me (7 hours ago)…at Casa Bonita.

(I’ll wait, go ahead and Google it).

And she doesn’t even drop a quick note or a text of - “hey, I’m in town”.

I need to just get over it, and move on with my life. Funny thing is, I hold on to all of those old relationships because they had meaning for me. Obviously, not so much for them.

 Фронтон - дикий пляж расположенный в 7 километрах от рыбацкого городка Лас Галерас на северо-востоке полуострова Самана, Доминикане. Фронтон порадует ценителей нетронутой природы и отдыха вдали от цивилизации. Со стороны суши пляж окружён тропическим лесом и скалами. Отдельные утёсы достигают 120 метров в высоту. Фронтон – необитаемый уголок Доминиканы. Люди здесь не живут. Зато полно игуан, птиц и подводных обитателей. В многочисленных пещерах также живут летучие мыши.

И хотя пляж Фронтон изолирован от стандартных туристических маршрутов и не располагает привычными удобствами, он продолжает пользоваться спросом. Частыми гостями этого места становятся те, кто хочет заняться дайвингом . Вдоль берега простирается коралловый риф, который и привлекают ныряльщиков. Чистейшая прозрачная вода с максимальной видимостью создает оптический обман. Кажется, что глубина совсем маленькая, а на самом деле в районе пляжа Фронтон идет резкий подводный обрыв. Сразу за  коралловым рифом начинается открытый океан и глубина – от 500 метров!

Fronton is a wild beach located 7 kilometers from the fishing town of Las Galeras in the northeast of the Samana Peninsula, Dominican Republic. AHH hellooooooo Colorado, I'm thrilled to finally make it out here!!🤩🙌 And the best way to kick off my vacay...I was very lucky enough to go to Casa Bonita last night, WOO-HOO!!🥳🙌

Was it worth it? Totally😁

What a freaking BLAST!! The food was excellent (the way my bestie and I got Matt's and Trey's fave dishes respectively though, I canttttttttt!🥰), and doing the jail photos, watching the cliff divers, and traversing through the spooky Black Bart's Cave were my favorites of the activities📸🏊‍♂️👻

Finally got to go to Casa Bonita tonight! There was sadly no photography allowed at the puppet show or magic show, but I got some pics elsewhere - Cartman, Black Bart’s Cave, the cliff divers… overall it was fun and cute and cool to see what Matt & Trey did with the place. Food was… mediocre (aside from the sopaipillas). But it was never about the food.
