How to Easily Achieve B2B Credibility Without High Costs?
Tumblr media
The Challenge of Gaining Credibility
When I first ventured into B2B marketing, I quickly realized that building credibility was tough.
Our budget was tight, and traditional advertising was out of reach. I needed a way to gain trust without spending a fortune. But how?
Discovering Social Proof
I stumbled upon the concept of social proof. The idea was simple: let our satisfied customers do the talking.
But implementing it effectively was a different ball game. I knew I had to be smart about it. I needed a plan that would maximize impact without breaking the bank.
Implementing Social Proof
I started by reaching out to our happiest clients.
I asked them for testimonials and case studies. Their positive feedback was like gold.
I showcased these testimonials on our website and social media. The response was immediate.
Example: A prominent client shared their success story with our product.
Statistic: Customer testimonials increased our website's conversion rate by 30%.
Leveraging Case Studies
Next, I created detailed case studies highlighting how our services solved specific problems. These stories resonated with potential clients. They saw themselves in these case studies and felt more confident in choosing us.
Example: A case study about how we helped a company reduce costs by 25%.
Statistic: Case studies boosted our lead generation by 40%.
Seeing Results
The results were beyond my expectations. We saw a significant uptick in inquiries and sales.
Our credibility soared, and our clients became our biggest advocates. It was proof that you don't need a huge budget to gain trust. You just need the right approach.
Conclusion
By leveraging social proof, I built B2B credibility without high costs. It's a strategy that works wonders.
Suggest a better way of doing it?

Sometimes I write angry letters. Maybe once a year. They are usually pretty good. This one is from 2021 but I maybe forgot to post it here. I post it now to prove I can actually write something longer than a paragraph when I put my mind to it.
In reference to this podcast: https://www.thisamericanlife.org/740/transcript
I wrote this:
As a loyal listener of your podcast going back at least six years, I’ve never felt a need to email you, but then again, I’ve never heard such a crappy segment as you aired recently. In it, Lina Misitzis reports on Kara, a "sex worker" unhappy with the FOSTA-SESTA law passed by Congress.
Where to begin?
Firstly, your reporter uses the term "sex worker" throughout her piece without acknowledging the people in and out of the sex industry who refuse to use that term. Ireland's Rachel Moran, author of Paid For, uses the term "prostituted" to describe herself: "I wasn't a prostitute, I was prostituted...there's a very big, significant difference." England's Rebecca Mott agrees, submitting this testimony to Nordic Model Now:"I hate the term sex work. It is a lie. It is mental violence to those of us who have the reality of being prostituted inside every cell of our bodies. It is a language that erases male violence, erases how organized the sex trade is, and erases any access to human rights for the prostituted." Sarah Ditum, writing in the New Statesman, quotes Daisy, recruited into prostitution as a teenage runaway: “I would not use that phrase. No woman is a ‘sex worker’. It's not work, it's abuse." Does your reporter state her reasons for choosing the trendy term sex work over prostitution? She does not.
So we are introduced to Kara at age 17, "a runaway in Orlando working at a pizza place. She decided to try becoming a stripper, figuring it would be better money, but she really didn't know anything about it. She had no idea what she was doing." What were the realistic options for a teenage girl out on her own to support herself financially? What were the obstacles and barriers to her success? Why did she choose stripping over say, community college? What were the safety risks of being a runaway? Why did she run away in the first place? Your reporter doesn't say. Also, how does a 17-year-old get a job as a stripper? Isn’t that…illegal? It is, and this makes Kara a sex trafficking victim from the day she begins stripping. But your reporter doesn't mention that either.
Next, we hear about Kara being coerced into seven years of prostitution, coordinated by her violent pimp, Larry. Calling it “being raped all day,” Kara sees 3 to 6 clients daily for seven years. If you add it all up, that’s somewhere between 7,000 and 15,000 rapes by the time she’s 25. Seven years of complex, accumulated sexual trauma, added to the child sexual abuse that’s mentioned very briefly. Does Kara get any professional help with processing that, or is her trauma left unresolved? Your reporter doesn’t say, but Kara does, referring to “my lack of healing.”
When we pick up Kara’s story again, we learn she’s having trouble finding a “regular” job after escaping her traffickers, as potential employers doing background checks are finding her arrest records. She concludes, “So my next option was to do what I knew how to do.” Here’s an opportunity for your reporter to identify the true barrier to Kara being able to move on with her life - not that anti-trafficking bill she hates, but a shocking lack of services for a victim of sex trafficking, such as transitional housing, vocational counseling, trauma-focused counseling, or legal assistance to have her records expunged. Were any of these services ever offered to Kara? Why or why not? We don’t know, because your reporter doesn’t tell us.
But the very worst part of the segment is yet to come. When Kara does return to prostitution, it is framed as a choice: “At this point in her life, what Kara was doing was sex work, which means performing any sex act in exchange for money. Lots of things make it different from being trafficked, but the biggest one is Kara chose to do it. She wasn't being forced or coerced.”
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
You want us to believe that a former teenage runaway, with no family support, no high school diploma, zero “real” job skills, an arrest record, years upon years of sexual trauma, who urgently needs to feed herself and cannot find a job…is exercising any kind of free will? Where is your critical analysis? Where is your compassion? Where is your common sense?
Something is a choice only when there is at least one other option to be had. What was her other option, starvation or starvation? Do you honestly believe a desperate young woman like Kara would freely choose continuing in prostitution if given a better option? We know she wouldn’t, given that she was TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER JOB.
Framing it as a free choice is irresponsible and makes your reporter seem dangerously naïve, or possibly desperate for woke points from the Portland camgirl contingent. Either way, it's pretty shameful.
In conclusion, this piece was a mess from start to finish, and I can’t believe it passed through your editing process.
Do better, Ira.
Love, Me

I’m so intrigued by your Overhaul au - does he still know Eri? What does their relationship look like if he isn’t, uh, experimenting on her?
It's still a WIP and has some inconsistencies I need to smooth out but here's what I got so far (read below the cut cuz it's a lot):
In this AU, Chisaki grew up at that AFO controlled orphanage like in canon but wasn't taken in by the Yakuza. Instead, he ended up in youth prison due to a "quirk accident" in which he disassembled another kid's arm (he'll say it was an accident if asked but it wasn't).
When he got out, people told him he's good at cleaning so that's what he should do for money. He actually doesn't like cleaning after other people but it pays and he doesn't have the means to land a better job (although he reads a lot about biology and chemistry and has all the smarts, he has no way or opportunityto prove himself).
Word soon gets around that Chisaki isn't just good, he's extremely good. So the Yakuza start hiring him for cleaning up the messes left behind by their members when they got into scuffles with other factions. Basically, he covers up crimes between regular jobs.
Eventually, Pops takes note of Chisaki the first time he charges extra for covering up a murder (they thought they'd removed all traces before Chisaki was called in, but he's forensics-level thorough). Pops sends a hefty sum to Chisaki's bank account so he can found his own company (and so that the Shie Hassaikai can keep asking him to cover up any future murder.)
All the while, Chisaki's connection to the Shie Hassaikai remains as loose as possible. (So he can always claim he didn't know anything, they are just a client, and he's just been doing his job). In truth, he owes Pops his success and independence and although he's never met the man, he values Pops since he was the first to recognize Chisaki's skill and intelligence.
The actual story then starts with Chisaki on the way to a remote hotel, having received another job from the Shie Hassaikai with a note from pops attached.
There, he quickly figures out he's been called to another murder site - and it's where he meets Eri. She'd been dumped on Pops recently and was hiding in the bathroom while her grandfather was murdered.
Chisaki wants nothing to do with her or a murder investigation at first but he finds the phone from which Pop's note was sent - proving she is Pops' granddaughter. Moreover, the message was set to be send automatically unless it's canceled (a dead man's switch).
This means he isn't meant to cover up the crime, he's meant to solve it - and Eri is the key witness. It's a big thing for Chisaki because it means Pops trusted him, more than any Yakuza member, to have the wits and skills to get to the bottom of his own disappearance.
Among the people at the hotel are:
Lady Nagant (there to kill a villain?)
Twice (his quirk can cause a lot of confusion)
Curious (the woman that picked on Toga during the LoV vs Meta Liberation Army arc)
Gentle and La Brava (they did not check in, they snuck in)
and a handful of OCs that may or may not be involved in the murder
Actually I'm not sure if all of these characters can appear at the same time or if I need to fudge ages/ change the timeline to get all of them in one place. I think Lady Nagant was arrested "way back" - but we need a hero on the scene and she's the right kind of shady to be considered a suspect as well.
Ofc Lady Nagant is onto Chisaki right away. Guy comes in alone, walks out with someone else's kid? Looks like the least qualified person to look after the girl? Suspicious!
Meanwhile, Eri's testimony and Chisaki's prejudices towards heroes make Lady Nagant their prime suspect.
Chisaki doesn't like children, but the more time he spends talking to Eri, the more parallels he discovers (they are both orphans, they both have insanely dangerous quirks) yet despite of what happened with her parents, Eri still has a more positive outlook on life.
Bonus headcanon: Eri runs around with a green plush bunny called "Deku".
While they crack the case, Lady Nagant slowly turns from an adversary to ally, Chisaki stumbles upon Gentle and La Brava sneaking around the building, and I've also been playing around with the idea of an OC villain that temporarily shrinks Chisaki to doll-size so Eri can help him out for a bit in turn!
I am yet undecided on what to with Eri after the case is solved. I don't want her to stay with Chisaki but he probably wouldn't want her to be put into an orphanage, either. Maybe Kurono can come pick her up?
Anyway, after the whole ordeal, Chisaki is inofficially promoted to "underground detective" by the villain community.

Limited Offer - Free Editing!!
Hey, Nat here! I have been working to set up an Upwork profile to hopefully attract more freelance clients. Here's my project proposal.
Breaking into a new freelance site is... not the easiest endeavor in the world. If you don't have testimonials and reviews, people pass you over. It's understandable, but still frustrating!
To help me break in, I have a special offer that will hopefully be mutually beneficial.
I will edit up to 10k of work, any genre, for free!
OR
I will provide story mapping support, any genre, for free!
This can be fanfiction (probably needs to be a fandom I'm familiar with just to... you know... make it actually possible for me to provide feedback), or original fiction of any genre, at any skill level, at any stage of the writing/editing process. We will start with a brief emailed or DM'd consultation to go over your goals, your perceived strengths, and your frustrations. Then, I will read your work and provide actionable editing notes, or if it's a story mapping situation, we will have a back and forth conversation about your characters, your plot, etc to help set you up for success as you begin writing your novel.
It will have to be through Upwork, meaning the job will have to be "paid", but to make it extra clear that this is NOT a scam, I will reimburse you for the cost of the gig BEFORE you pay it to Upwork. I'll make you a custom project and charge the lowest amount they'll let me get away with charging, hopefully like $2 or something, so the stakes for you are very very low. I can reimburse you via Paypal or Venmo, and I will cover any processing charges applicable.
I will edit for up to 5 writers and story map for up to 20! DM me here or email me at [email protected] and we can go from there.
Click here to view my testimonials from past clients and a sample of my editing notes.

How to Choose the Best Shopify Website Design Company for Your Store in 2025?
Tumblr media
In the ever-evolving world of eCommerce, having a well-designed and fully optimized Shopify store is no longer just an option – it's a necessity. As more consumers turn to online shopping, brands must ensure their Shopify website delivers an exceptional user experience, reflects the brand's identity, and supports seamless transactions. This is where a professional Shopify website design company can make all the difference.
Cross Atlantic Software, we understand that the decision to hire a Shopify website design company is a major step in your eCommerce journey. With so many service providers available, making the right choice can be overwhelming. This article aims to guide you through the most important factors to consider when selecting the right partner for your Shopify website design in 2025.
1. Understand Your Goals and Business Needs
Before you even begin searching for a Shopify website design company, clearly outline what you want your Shopify store to achieve. Are you launching a new brand, rebranding an existing one, or scaling up operations? Do you need custom integrations, advanced product filtering, or mobile-first Shopify design?
Having a clear vision will help you communicate effectively with potential design partners and ensure they align with your goals.
2. Look for Specialized Shopify Expertise
Not all web design companies specialize in Shopify. It's essential to choose a team that lives and breathes Shopify website design. Shopify has its own ecosystem, with unique themes, apps, and a proprietary Liquid coding language. Hiring a company that focuses specifically on Shopify design ensures they understand the platform inside-out.
Cross Atlantic Software has dedicated Shopify experts who have built and optimized hundreds of Shopify stores, giving clients the edge they need to compete in saturated markets.
3. Review Their Portfolio and Past Work
A reputable Shopify website design company should have a robust portfolio showcasing their past work. Look for:
Aesthetically pleasing, modern designs
Fast-loading Shopify websites
Mobile responsiveness
Seamless checkout experiences
Custom features like animations or personalized recommendations
Pay attention to diversity in their projects. This tells you whether the company can adapt their Shopify design to different industries and audiences.
4. Read Client Reviews and Testimonials
Real feedback from past clients is one of the most reliable ways to evaluate a Shopify website design company. Look beyond just the star ratings. Focus on detailed testimonials that highlight communication, professionalism, turnaround time, and post-launch support.
Cross Atlantic Software, we don’t just deliver projects — we build partnerships that grow with your business. Many of our clients have been with us for years, and we’re proud to be part of their ongoing success stories. Our testimonials reflect our commitment to excellence and custom-tailored Shopify website design solutions.
5. Ask About the Design and Development Process
Transparency is crucial. A reliable Shopify website design company should be able to walk you through their process from start to finish:
Initial Consultation
Strategy & Planning
Wireframing & Prototyping
Shopify Theme Customization or Custom Build
QA Testing & Optimization
Launch & Post-Launch Support
Knowing how your design team works isn’t just helpful — it’s essential. When everyone’s on the same page from day one, the process becomes smoother, timelines are clearer, and there are no last-minute surprises.
6. Consider Their Understanding of UX and Conversion Optimization
Good design isn't just about looking pretty. A successful Shopify website should convert visitors into buyers. That requires deep knowledge of user behavior, sales funnels, and design psychology.
Choose a Shopify website design company that prioritizes:
Clear CTAs (Call to Action)
Simple navigation
Fast page load times
Engaging product pages
Mobile-first design
Cross Atlantic Software, our team fuses creative Shopify design with data-backed UX principles to help you maximize conversions and sales.
7. Evaluate Support and Maintenance Services
Your Shopify store needs continuous updates, improvements, and sometimes emergency fixes. Make sure your design partner offers ongoing support even after launch. Ask questions like:
Do they offer monthly maintenance packages?
How do they handle bugs or errors?
Will you have a go-to person to call when something breaks or when you need a quick update? A dedicated point of contact makes all the difference when time and clarity matter most.
Cross Atlantic Software offers flexible support plans to ensure your Shopify website stays up-to-date, secure, and optimized at all times.
8. Transparency in Pricing
Clear pricing is a mark of a trustworthy Shopify website design company. While it's tempting to go with the lowest quote, remember that quality design and development require expertise and time.
Request a detailed breakdown of costs, including design, development, apps, and post-launch services. A good partner will explain every line item and adjust to fit your budget where possible.
9. Look for Creative Collaboration, Not Just Execution
The best outcomes happen when the design company works with you as a creative partner rather than just following orders. You should feel heard, respected, and inspired during the design journey.
Cross Atlantic Software, we treat every client as a collaborator. Our team engages in regular brainstorming sessions and strategy calls to ensure your vision translates beautifully into a high-performing Shopify store.
10. Check If They Offer Additional Services
Many eCommerce businesses need more than just Shopify website design. Check if your prospective partner can also help with:
SEO Optimization
Email Marketing Integration
App Integrations
Product Photography
Social Media Integration
A company that offers a comprehensive solution can save you time, money, and the hassle of managing multiple vendors.
Cross Atlantic Software provides end-to-end services to make your Shopify store launch as seamless and impactful as possible.
Conslusion:
Choosing the best Shopify website design company in 2025 is about more than just good looks. It requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach.
With a trusted partner like Cross Atlantic Software, you can build a Shopify website that not only looks amazing but also drives growth and customer loyalty.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your current Shopify design, now is the time to make the investment in a company that understands your vision and has the skills to make it real.
