people need to realize that the “reblogs > likes” discussion is primarily for artists and creators on here. nobody really cares if you like a shitpost and then just scroll past. we’re talking about the way artists are under-represented on here and aren’t getting nearly enough visibility for the work they do. we’re talking about how the number of artists who post on here is dwindling significantly because no one uses the reblog button. social media has quickly become homogenized in recent years and the reblog function is a remnant of a creator-based platform. i know likes aren’t completely useless, i know they serve a function when it comes to saving posts or sending love to mutuals but they do not help artists get seen. they do not help us in very tangible ways. i couldn’t care less about whether or not you reblog a silly text post, but it is hard enough as it is in this age, in this economy to be an artist without people pretending like every little bit doesn’t help. anyway

I think it would be funny if in season 2 it becomes a running gag of Vox sending spies to the hotel who just end up captured into the net of found family and friendship and become part of the clientele and Vox doesn’t get why he keeps losing contact with them (and assumes Alastor probably killed them) until one day Charlie comes to personally thank him for bringing her so many souls for rehabilitation and for believing in her cause and Vox just. Doesn’t know what is happening. And short circuits.

Witch hat atelier being seinen is peak demonstration of how ridiculous demographics as manga categories are. Ah yes witch hat atelier,, aimed at adult men,,, and clearly not meant for children or women or god forbid young girls —famously the opposite demographic of witch hat atelier. That would be incidental and accidental bc you see it being seinen means the author wrote it for adult men specifically and exclusively!!
