Extended StandardMaterial Shader for the Sims 2

A Shader Edit/Default Replacement "StandardMaterial" is the shader commonly used by sims objects. It tells the game how to render them, and by default offers features such as making them glowy or transparent. However, most of its effects apply to the whole material at once. I figured out how to edit it! So here is my improved version. It now supports: - An "additive" texture map, lighting up specific areas of the material. - An envCube mask, controlling the intensity of this effect via a texture. - Two new envCube modes, and improvements to an undiscovered one. + "Blend" replaces the base texture by the envCube's. + "Multiply" multiplies them together (duh). + "DiffuseRadiance", which already existed in the shader, adds the envCube texture to the light received by the material rather than its already lit texture. All three of them support the envCube mask and the envCubeCoef parameter. The envCube modes are mutually exclusive, but all effects can otherwise be used with each other. The download itself contains the shader package, a pdf ReadMe listing features and material parameters, and examples showcased on my envCubeTesterObject (also included). The readme lists the specific shader files I've edited, in case anyone else made an incompatible mod. (I've not included the recolours from the first preview pic as they're kind of lame lol + I had to make a CEP extra for the robot.) I'm hyped to see what cool objects and recolours people will make with this! And I'm probably forgetting information.

Sim Effects (modded object by unknown creator)

I downloaded this over a decade ago (apparently from the Insimenator forum) but I can't find it online anywhere, so I decided to reupload it, since it's very useful for storytelling. It adds particle and visual effects to the selected sim. It can be found in the General/Misc catalogue for 0 simoleons.

Beat me to it!

A Garden of Shadows 3t2 airstrip conversion plus smaller version by Treehawk. Now in HD!

Turns out Treehawk on Gardenofshadows uploaded the same hood deco airstrip I was working on not even a couple months before I uploaded mine, plus with a smaller version and both in HD texture.

Also the mesh is lowered to allow hood deco planes to be placed on these without clipping. These versions are done much better imho, and I could take a few pointers.

As the world continues to crash and burn, here are 6 FtM Butterflysims hairs in Poppet V2 naturals.

All are under 14k poly, they're for PM-EM with the greys on separate files, binned, familied, tootipped, compressorized. Everything under the cut.

One of my favourite outfits for little girls, Fakepeeps7's Wool Dress Coats seem like the perfect start to the winter season, so here's a bunch of recolours with my lil spin on them!

I made these in 8 Aelia colour mixes + 8 patterns. When I started these recolours I realised that the collar is actually a separate alpha editable group, which is fun! So I made two versions of each, one with a lace trimmed collar and one with a fur collar. Many Lolita style coats have removable fur collars, so that's a bit of a nod there. My textures have added seams and lace trim, plus smoother opaque tights.

CF only, Everyday and outerwear. Fully compressorized with the mesh included in the zip!

I had a very little something that I wanted to share for Simblreen, but I've been really ill this week, and had a truly horrible day yesterday, so I'm afraid I'm a little late... Although, to be honest, it isn't spooky in the slightest, just celebrating one of my favourite times of year - autumn. as @theonlybegottensim suggested, have @gua-cc's air conditioner set converted from ts4 to ts2! because in this heat, your sims deserve to keep cool, too 😎 these are based on @jacky93sims' air conditioners, which are based on simlogical's!

there are 2 types: wall and floor standing. you can pick if they are functional or decorative; you can have both versions in your game, so no worries! everything is roughly 300 polys. there are subsets for both the base and the screen in front. oh, and each type has clean as well as dirty swatches, for a total of 6 base recolours and 3 screen recolours ~ !

The volatile texture is a blend of @lilith-sims's volatile from here and @simborg 's texture.

I added scalp texture to avoid a light scalp peaking through dark hair or vice versa. I chose not to have said scalp texture extend to the area where the bangs take root because the scalp being visible there didn't seem unrealistic to me (this looks to be a hairstyle for thin hair), but you can always edit the scalp's alpha if you want to add texture there too.
