I'm back with a rather random upload! I've never managed to find this kind of roofs for Sims 2 that I really liked, so I finally grabbed some TS4 textures and pieced these together. They come in CluedoSims' 1926 palette and should work with most roof shapes. Note: if you don't have any kind of mod that makes the default roofs brighter these patterns will look darker in game!

Here’s something that I’ve wanted to recolor for the past 8 years now. I just learned how to make recolors recently, so, better late than never!
This is Corvidophile’s Narrow Simplicity garage door recolored in all 30 of Anna’s colors. This door allows you to make narrow garages that don’t look like crap, using a width of 5 tiles, rather than having to add a tile on either side of the door, as you normally would. I’ve recolored both subsets, so you can mix and match the trim and door.

hello! sorry in advance if I missed it - was there a texture paint to download that matches the river rock you used in the pond default? TYSM
I didn't think to make terrain paints when I was making the pond defaults and haven't seen anyone make them. I can make terrain paints for the river rocks and other 2 versions.

Undecorated: Pescado's Authorized Personnel Only Security as 4t2 Switches
🐸 DOWNLOAD (PICK ONLY ONE in folder): SFS / MIRROR
This is a mesh replacement of Pescado's Authorized Personnel Only Security System v5.0 because I would like more decorative objects to be made useable. Hence, "undecorated"! Comes in 2 different 4t2 switches but please pick only 1 as they share the same GUID.
No Change in Function - only aesthetic change 🎨
🌟 WHAT DOES THIS THING DO AGAIN?
I sometimes forget this exists because it looks like your normal security alarm but at a whopping $1500, Pescado what were you thinking!!?
It's quite trial and error for me but you can use it to set rooms unlockable for specific sims. I personally use it to make apartments without MAKING apartments 😂

❗ glowing recolors require Extended Standard Material Shader by @crispsandkerosene - without it the texture glow effect will not be visible!

Glowing recolors are all repo'ed to basic shades and to additive texture packs (make sure you don't remove those by accident).

I thought I was done recolouring and then I remembered there's that Arc Entranceway canopy thing - I've never used it in my game so I didn't know it had two subsets.. Glowing recolors are only for the edges cuz otherwise it wouldn't make sense - and it doesn't look as good as I'd like it to.
There's also a Helier archway, I didn't feel like recolouring it at this point but might do that in the future.
As I mentioned above, glowing recolors are repoed. "Additive texture pack" packages contain additive maps used for neons so there's no texture redundancy. You can tweak or replace each additive map -(I've included texture resources) the change will affect all neon recolors in the set, that are linked to the edited texture.
If you'd like to replace glowing texture in specific recolor file, you open TXMT settings and edit texture name in stdMatAdditiveTextureName line, plus the same texture name in File List tab. Don't forget to commit changes.

Here's my edit of the decorative cornice and base molding from Apartment Life EP. Also included OBJ unlockers for diagonal pieces.

There are a few default variants to choose from. Unlocked items are available as separate files.
*Note: unlocked diagonal objects cannot be sampled with 'eyedropper' tool (if you do that, the non-diagonal version shows up) but other than that, seem to work fine and have working LOD90 versions = visible in hood view.
*This is for The Sims 2

Diagonal pieces require MoveObjects On cheat, and when placing above ground you have to create an extra tile for support, then remove it, so I'm pretty sure that's why Eaxis decided to hide both.
According to the catalogue description "the Molded Cornice is meant to add a beautiful transition from wall to roof". Original cornice bits are adjusted to ceiling level - but do work as wall /floor edge hiders when shifted up.

I use these outside on the roofs most often - so I've tweaked cornice meshes to be higher, slightly above floor level (this replacement is optional). While at it, I've also tweaked the base molding aka molded belt shape to match the cornice. Unfortunately, GMDC replacements for diagonal bits don't work for some reason, so smooth version of the Diagonal Molded Belt is included as add-on. Please note it's not visible in hood view (pic below on the right).
Diagonal cornice was moved up by editing CRES coordinates.

So if you care about smooth base moldings but also want all elements to be visible in hood view, you could remove smooth diagonal belt add-on and pick OBJ unlocker (original mesh) instead.

Adds a "Stock All" menu option to fridges that can be stocked with fresh food that transfers ALL such items from the Sim's inventory into the fridge.
Additionally adds menu options to "Remove Groceries" and "Remove Fresh Food"

Decrease the strength of terrain paint application (in TS2)
If you are like me, you almost certainly never play around with terrain paint. It's not that I don't like to, but the application always felt too strong for me to do anything that doesn't look extreme with it.
So, the other day I was going around looking at the game's directory, and stumbled across these two values in the "Terrain.ini" file:
This file is located in: LATEST EP/TSData/Sys *The exact location depends on where you installed the game, which edition you are currently using and which is the latest EP you got installed.
This might just be common knowledge, but I personally never saw anything related to it, so I'm sharing in case it interests others.
It's fairly self-explanatory: if you change the "PaintBrushStrength" value to something between 0 and 1 (I imagine higher values are accepted but probably useless), the strength of the paint application decreases accordingly.
I've personally put the value at 0.1 – but you might find that too slow of an application. I also feel like this increases how much money is spent to paint the terrain, since weaker application = holding the mouse button longer = more money spent.
I tried to play around with the "PaintBrushApplicationInterval", increasing it to like 6000 (= 1min), but noticed no difference, so I left the default value as is.
Important note: Remember to backup the file! Alternatively, you can add a comment to any change you've made that reminds you what the default value was (I haven't changed anything else).

More Animal Crossing: New Horizons conversions!
This time, I converted the Wall-mounted phone and Cordless phone. Well, they both ended up being cordless phones after I removed the cord from the wall phone, but I figured it would work better with Sims 2 that way.
Now, it turns out that making phones is probably the worst and least fun thing you can ever get up to! I tried my best, but there are still some issues. The Cordless phone clips a little with the thumb when held and the ring fx isn't well aligned (I did try to fix it!). The Wall-mounted phone looks a bit derpy while dialing, as there are no buttons on the handset. Also, the phone handset position for both phones gets messed up after they rings and needs to be reset by being picked up. However, that's an issue also present in Maxis phones.
Make sure you get both the phone and handset files. I used Numenor's Phone Clone Templates for this.

Torrox Build Set in Snowy Escape Woods and Eversims Colors
I love moune999's Torrox Build Set and it's all repo'd to a handful of textures - so why not add some colors to make it more flexible and fit with other items I use a lot?
I recolored the beam/door textures in eight Snowy Escape woods, and recolored the stair/ledge textures in the Eversims palette.
