Hi. I've noticed you changed the number of chapters for your fic "the pursuit". Did you change your mind about the epilogue?

I want to return to it when I feel inspired enough, but I didn’t want the 7/8 chapter count hanging over me in the meantime, considering the main story is complete and the epilogue would just be an added bonus. I do plan to write it at some point, I just don’t know when that will be, sorry!

What about an AU fic where Lexa is a no nonsense, cold hearted Old West bounty hunter and Clarke is a prostitute in one of the towns she frequents? Lexa finds herself feeling super protective when she finds out that Clarke is being abused by one of her patrons, a sadistic bastard from the upper class. She is able to squash these feelings by staying on the move and focusing on her work, but they come back with a vengance when she returns to find that Clarke was kidnapped at the behest of said patron. Of course the law will do nothing considering her class and occupation versus that of her kidnapper, therefore, Lexa takes it upon herself to find Clarke and bring her to safety. Anybody down for that? The evil, abusive patron can be anybody and Lexa may or may not have a g!p.

Okay but Dr. Clarke, Medicine Woman - Wild West Clexa AU.

Born in a wealthy, privileged family in Boston Clarke decides to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a doctor. Upon completion of her training, and due to female doctors still being frowned upon, she decides to move to rural Arkadia, a small town in the middle of nowhere whose people are in need of a new physician.

In spite of her family’s objections about the harsh life that awaits her so close to the wilderness, she starts a private practice there while battling prejudice, patriarchy, stereotypes and discrimination. The townspeople are reluctant at having a townie in their midst, especially a woman claiming to be a doctor, and at first refuse to let her treat them.

Enter determined, smarter-than-you Clarke with her no-nonsense attitude  setting out on a one-woman mission to prove her worth and winning people over. She’s adaptable and resourceful and cunning when she has to be and in the long run they.don’t.stand.a.chance.

She’s relentless. Especially when Clarke’s the only one to advocate, and diligently pursue, peaceful negotiations with the natives. The fact that the leader of the neighboring tribes happens to be a green-eyed goddess, the very embodiment of the spirit of the forest, a fascinating contradiction of soft and sharp, an apparition bathed in dappled shade and intricate war paint, and a visionary herself? Well ... the edge of the wild has never looked more irresistible.

I feel like wild west clarke is the most similar to canon; just doing shit that's clearly bad but saying well, what can you do, it's gotta be done and it's gotta be me doing it..Oh and here is a completely valid reason for my wrongdoing so 🤷🏽‍���️

Oh for sure, this fic was an opportunity for me wallow in canon Clarke’s morally suspect, wily ways, and absolute badassery. The Wild West setting just beautifully lends itself to that too.

I feel like lexas really hesitant to let Clarke tie her up for anything because she’s been burned before and last time she walked out in her ☹️ poor yeehaw baby

Let’s just say that while Lexa forgives, she never forgets. She has to get her little digs in. Clarke might pout, but it’s the least she deserves.

She’d been sneakily surveilling Lexa’s movements and followed her. But Clarke’s backup plans have backups, so she would’ve found another way, most likely catching up with Lexa on the trail - she knew roughly where Lexa was headed, after all.

But, honestly, there’s nothing to read into about Cut to the Chase being pinned. I have no plans to do a continuation (although that AU does live rent free in my head). I was going to put together a pinned masterpost of my fics and the tags for the extras/headcanons/playlists for ease of finding all that stuff, but I’m lazy and haven’t gotten around to it yet, so CttC remains pinned only for that reason 😄
