Meet my newest finished air dry clay project - a stegosaurus planter!

I'm very, very happy with how it came out and really delighted to have found a plant with such complimentary linework on it!

Hopefully it settles in well!

Here's some process shots too, for fun:

Not pictured: an incredible amount of sanding, sitting outside in the wind attempting to direct the dust away from my face and clothes.

Also not pictured: decorating this little friend with prismacolour pencil crayons, the thick waxy kind.

But then I sprayed it with a variety of sealants and protectants, high gloss for three layers and then two of my new fav matte finish:

Also, if you've used air dry clay you know it's not really great at things like potentially damp soil! This guy is lined with a section of a plant tray in hopes of making this sustainable:

So yeah, we'll see how it all does! But yes, I am very definitely very hooked on this sculpting thing, what a good time all round!

This is the only tentacle pot that made it home with me from Anime North. I’m so happy people love them as much as I do! This is the largest tentacle pot I’ve made to date and I’m not mad to still have it, just means I get to enjoy it a little longer myself. ;)

I will be throwing this up in my shop sometime this week! I’ll keep you all updated.

It's a pleasant day out today, so here's a pleasant little dino, succulent Triceratops. After making the succulent Stegosaurus, I had a drive to make more plant based dinos, so this guy was made for Anime North. They're a fun break for me in con crunch, so don't be surprised to see more themed prehistoric stuff in the future.

This one is based on one of my houseplants combined with one of my childhood favourites. And of course, I am a sucker for pink and green.
