I'm calling out to the doctor who fandom!!!

PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN WATCH THE CELESTIAL TOYMAKER EPISODES FROM CLASSIC DOCTOR WHO SEASON 3???!!!!

they're not on Tubi and they appear to not be on britbox either (plus I'm swedish so I can't even watch them there if they were there). Were the episodes like super racist or why can't I find them anywhere??!!

#doctor who #twelveclara #so much to unpack here.#first of all the banter. just kill me.#the fact that he's helping her students on a regular basis. the intertwining of their lives to a dangerous degree #the fact that he jokes about their season 8 breakup as if that's something they joke about #the hug. THE HUG.#suggesting that physical touch is something they Do now #him admitting he missed her. not a huge deal but meaningful To Me.#the doctor who classic 'im never leaving you!' <- dies 1-3 episodes later. which will never get old #can we return to the hug one more time. insert joke about how i know he takes it from behind. and so on and so forth.#and last but not least the way he looks at her. man. stares off into the distance forever #i always forget about this little moment but it really is such a beautiful one

I see so many talk about RTD1 as if it looked like Season 1 for the entire duration, but it just didn't. There was a lot of trial and error in that early seasons as they figured out how to make the show and refined things as they went. In fact, they were sometimes refining so quickly that the end of Doomsday doesn't even match the start of The Runaway Bride.

#doctor who #dw #rtd1 #you can tell by season 3 that the bbc was really fully invested in that show #it starts to look a lot more polished #and then they go the hd cameras for the specials #if rtd had done the 5th season it still would've look a lot better than his first four #despite what many think he did not set out to make the show look bad #he wanted to look like a well made modern action/sci-fi drama #and end all the jokes about dw just being about wobbly sets #he wanted people to take the show seriously #and he succeeded #it is just that we're now looking back at it from 18 years later #which is a longer gap than between survival and rose #in fact you do see this same kind of evolution in classic who #the way the hartnell stories were shot was completely different from how the troughton stories were #while the shows budget has never been huge #it has always changed and adapted with the times

was watching school reunion and it got me thinking who's the most "important" dr who companion, as in, which one impacted the most the show and the doctor alike

#i didn't reach a conclusion btw #my first thought was rose bc lest be honest #10ths whole behavior on season 3&4 were bc of her #but then we have sarah jane who's probably #one if not Thee most memorable c companion of classic who #but i haven't finished her classic run to 100% say #but the we have CLARA who some would say is like a complete mirror of the doctor #and on the 12th had a very big impact on 12th #btw im not talking abt who's important in like popularity or who's the most loved #im talking in like the IN universe who made the biggest impact on the doctor and the show #anyways if u guys have an opinion abt this pls rb #on the 12th era had a very big impact on 12th****#doctor who #dw #dr who #10th doctor
