You had a good five seconds on campus before someone finally noticed. Before you even made eye contact with her for the first time that day, Tatum let out the biggest gasp she had ever made and grabbed your shoulder. “And who did you spend your night with,” she asked as you immediately blushed, covering up your hickey with your palm. “None of your business, tate,” you said as Stu laughed and put his arm around Tatum’s waist. “Maybe Randy finally got his shot, I mean with how scared you must be about the killer, maybe he offered some protection for you,” Stu joked as Billy laughed.

 “Don’t get the dork all worked up, Stu, you might put one too many ideas in that perverted brain of his,” Billy said as Randy rolled his eyes. “I can confirm it was not me, sadly, one of us actually has a job instead of living off student loan refunds,” Randy said as the group put their attention back on you. “Well, whoever mauled you better show up at the mall after class today. I wanna see who gave you that, you know, to vet them or whatever,” Tatum said as Sidney nodded. “Yeah, and then we’ll get on their case for mauling you,” she added, making you laugh.

Your day was mostly spent around nervously tiptoeing around the girls questioning you on who you spent the night with. You had talked to other people on campus that didn’t include your little friend group but had never shown interest in them, so they questioned you on any and every one they knew to see who it was. “Okay, what about the guy who almost hit you with that football last week, Kyle? Kit? Kaleb.” Tatum recalled, “Kevin, and no,” you answered simply as Sidney took a stab at it. “Nah, it has to be Oliver,” she suggested, making you pause and show a gross look. “One of my biggest bullies in high school? No thanks,” you shrugged as Billy turned his gaze to you, Stu looking back at you through the rearview mirror. 

“Bully?” Billy questioned as you nodded. Throughout most of school you had been bullied, not really by one group in particular but there were enough to only leave you with Casey as one of your only friends until senior year. It stopped when college came around, no one cared enough to bully someone they spent one hour a day with. “Yeah, he always bullied me, ever since second grade. At first everyone thought he liked me because they thought being mean to someone was how you showed a crush but after this one time he faked asking me out in high school just to stand me up, it came kinda clear he hated me,” you explained with a little bitter laugh, going silent when you noticed the awkwardness.

 Billy’s face was stone cold, but you could tell in his eyes that he was angered. “It’s fine, I’m over it now, but yeah, definitely not someone I would let sleep with me,” you said as you looked away, not noticing the glance that Stu and Billy shared. “Is he still a dick to you?” Stu asked as you laughed, “I guess? I dunno, I find it more funny that he’s still got a grudge against me for some reason, but at least he doesn’t try to pull my hair anymore,” you said jokingly.

“How about we go in there?” Tatum suggested as you and Sidney both shared a laugh, “what? You have a mystery date and you might want a cute outfit for Billy sometime,” Tate said as you and Sidney looked to each other before looking at the boys. “How about you two run off for a bit instead of being giant pervs, we’ll meet up again at the food court,” you suggested as Billy and Stu were quick to agree. Their rapid head shakes made you all rile up with laughter, smiling and heading into the store together. 

“Sooo, what’s your mystery dates favorite color?” Tate asked as you smiled, “I don’t know actually, that’s a good question,” you hummed as you looked at the different choices of lingerie that lined the store. “I think they like any color really,” you said as you spotted a red laced set, it was a bralette styled top that had strips running down the side to connect to the underwear. Sidney noticed where your eyes lingered and laughed, “they’re kinky, huh?” She joked as you laughed and nodded, “really,” you agreed. You picked through the outfit to find your size, wondering if ghostface would like it, you guessed they probably would enjoy the blood red color of it.Later that night you were in your bathroom, glad that your parents had left to have dinner at your grandparents, which they did very hesitantly given the incident a few days ago. When you reassured that with all your friends only a few blocks away and access to cars, as well as the marvelous creation of phones to dial 911, they let you be.

You found yourself looking in the mirror as you checked yourself out for the 100th time in the lingerie you had bought. You blushed and wondered if your masked killer would enjoy the outfit, running your hand slowly across the lace fabric. You heard a noise from outside, quickly throwing on a tshirt- one you didnt care about if ruined again- and pj shorts before heading out into your bedroom.

You peeked over your window to see nothing, frowning to yourself before sighing and taking a seat on your bed. But when you were met with the back of the costumed body looking over your vanity you let out a small scream, making them turn to you. “Jesus christ you scared me!” You yelled at them before relaxing, “no window climbing this time?” You asked as they shook their head, continuing to look around the room. You noticed their little glances around the room, curious as to why they were studying it. They turned towards you once more, walking over to you and looking you over. They were less aggressive than last time, using two fingers to tilt your head up to them. Their fingers were warm, which caught you off guard, just yesterday they were cold to the touch.

“There’s two of you?” You questioned, their demeanor changing quickly as they grabbed your chin. “I-I don’t know who you are, i swear. It’s just- y-your touch…” you spoke quickly, trailing off as their grip loosened. “The last one was cold, kinda felt like a corpse,” you said jokingly, “and you’re warm…plus you keep looking around like you haven’t been here before.” You said to them, their touch going back to just gently holding your chin up. They moved away from you, going back to your vanity and grabbing a small black bag, bringing it over to you. You blinked in surprise, looking up to them before they gestured to open it. You reached into the bag, pulling out a piece of paper that was torn, giggling at the words that were printed onto it. ‘Sorry about the last guy :(‘

“See? I would have figured it was two of you anyways,” you said as they shook their head. You smiled, reaching back into the bag and looking at your two new Carrie shirts. One was in the style as your previous one, the other a different one but still in the correct size. “I didn’t think I would actually be treated to a new shirt,” you admitted, hearing a chuckle from them. You didn’t say it out loud, but your heart was filled with joy knowing these two masked killers, regardless of not knowing them, were being so kind and caring towards you. You swooned, noticing how different the two seemed. The other one scared you a little, not really knowing their true intentions, but this one seemed so much more gentle and sweet with you. “I um, I also had a little surprise for you,” you said, noticing how they perked up at your words.

A blush rose to your cheeks as you looked up to them, adjusting yourself before sitting up on your knees. “but you’ll have to take my clothes off first to see it, mr. ghostface.” you whispered out, which made them grab you by the waist and lay you down on the bed. They didn’t take out the knife, instead their hands darted to the hem of your shirt and lifted it up to reveal the red lingerie underneath. A small groan left them as they quickly worked on taking off your shorts, making you giggle at the rush in their actions. You let out a little whimper as they groped you, aware now of how unintentionally strong their grip was. They squeezed your breast that was covered in the lace, their other hand roaming up and down your side. The lack of their touch made you whine out, pouting up at them before they moved to grab the final thing from the bag. A new blindfold, one dedicated just for you. They were quick to tie it, making sure you didn’t see through it by waving in front of you.

All you heard was a little thump of the mask and them struggling to take their gloves off before you heard the rest of their clothing thump to the ground. Before you could even take in a breath you felt their hand already cupping your core, their lips attacking the part of your breasts that were left uncovered from the lingerie. They roamed around before their lips were now on your neck, creating a new hickey right above the old one. You moaned softly, a shaky hand reaching to grab their arm.You could feel their muscles contract and tighten at the touch but when you made no movement to touch elsewhere, they quickly calmed down and continued their lust filled attack on you. They teased you over the lace panties you wore, their smirk growing as you let out little huffs and moans. The bed lifted, their frame no longer causing it to dip and your hand was left holding nothing, a small pout made its way to your agitated frown as their touch left you.  A loud moan left your lips as you came, whines and whimpers erupting from your chest as their ministrations didn’t stop. “Please, please, ‘s too much,” you pleaded, clawing at your bedsheets as they just hooked their arm around your thigh and pulled you down back onto their face once more. It was practically like a scene from the Exorcist as you came again, your back arching off of the bed as you nearly let out a scream from all the pleasure. This time they slowly pulled away after you came down from your high, lapping at you one last time before pulling away and hovering over you. Your chest heaved as you did your best to catch your breath, smiling softly at the gentle kiss they placed onto you. You felt them snake their hand into yours, making you giggle as they wrapped their fingers in the spaces between your own. A smile curled onto their lips when they heard your laugh, growing even wider when you let out a moan as their free hand went back to your entrance. They still held your hand as they pulled back a little, your legs spreading more as you felt them running their tip along your slit.

 At every swipe to your clit you let out a moan, gasping when they entered you. Within a second their lips were attacking your neck again, earning whines and moans from every bite, lick, and thrust that they tortured your body with. The pleasure was dizzying, you had never really gone so many rounds with someone before, the recovery time was practically nothing with how fast your climax was building up again. Your phone rang, seeing Sidney’s caller id and answering quickly. “Hey, have you seen any of the police cars pass by?” She asked as you looked out your window, “no, how come?” You asked as Sidney sighed. “Oliver, the neighbors said they heard screaming and shit breaking and when police got there they said he was dead,” she said as you frowned. “Do they know if it was the killer?” You asked, “yeah, neighbors said they saw him running off. They tried going after them but they couldn’t catch up.” She told you, you sighing and shaking your head. “That’s so creepy…” you said, thinking back to the conversation you all were having earlier that day. You couldn’t help but wonder if ghostface was stalking you, if they already knew you and your past.

7. THE ORPHANAGE (to be read in Eliza Hamilton's voice)

The one thing from his personal life that Rousseau is probably best remembered for is the fact that he gave up all five children he had with his long-term partner, Thérèse, to a Parisian orphanage. One after the other, in what could be called a rapid succession, a simple case of salut and adieu.

The reasons he gave for his behaviour differ from ‘I have fallen with a bad crowd in Paris and this is just what people around me did’ and ‘I basically had no other option anyway’ (not true, he could have married Thérèse and try to make it work. Sure, money was tight, and someone could make a few snarky remarks about the first baby looking surprisingly big for a six-month old or whatever, but these things happened quite regularly. Also, Diderot married his working-class mistress despite his father’s stern disapproval. Just saying) to – now this comes up somewhat later in the Confessions and is significantly darker – ‘I really hated Thérèse’s family and thought it would be better to let my kids be raised by the state than be around them’.

If this was him trying to break a cycle of generational trauma though – perhaps one of the side of his own family as well –  I’d argue there were far better ways of going about it. There’s also potentially one even darker, quasi-psychoanalytical reason for this now infamous choice, but it’s probably best to steer clear of Freud. Nothing good usually comes out of it.

Of course, doing something like this would make anyone seem like a douchebag, but a guy famous for writing a treatise on how to best raise children?* Guy who repeatedly argued that the single purpose of a woman’s life is to be a mother? Now that’s a hypocrisy so deliciously juicy that one simply cannot resist sharing it with the world!

*interestingly enough, he insists in the Confessions that he wanted to reveal this information in his On Education (aka Emile), and that in one of the book's passages, he alluded to this episode in such a way that he ‘basically confessed to it already’. I haven’t found that part yet, and I remain somewhat sceptical about whether this is truly the case.

8. SECOND INTERMEZZO: VOLTAIRE THE AVID HATE-READER

V on Julie, or the New Heloise: „silly, middle-class, dirty-minded and boring“

V on Profession of Faith of a Savoyard Vicar: „I read his On Education. These are reasonings of a stupid nurse in four volumes, of which forty pages directed against Christianity. They are among the most daring that have ever been written, [but] by virtue of inconsistency worthy of this head without a brain and this Diogenes* with no heart, he uttered as much abuse against the philosophers, as against Jesus Christ.“ (letter to Damilaville, 1762)

*calling JJ ‘Diogenes’ was definitely a trend in the 1700s, and what seems like V’s go-to insult for him. Calling him a ‘lackey of Diogenes’ does potentially get a bit kink-shame-y though...

9. A MOUNTAIN AND AN AVALENCHE

The last post featured an earthquake in Portugal, now get ready for a distinctly Swiss natural disaster!

To be perfectly fair to Voltaire, although he was certainly not a person who was above spreading gossip, he did have a good reason to publish what he knew about Rousseau and let all hell break loose, since...

in Rousseau’s Letters Written from the Mountain published in 1763, JJ had exposed Voltaire as the author of the infamous Sermon of the Fifty, an anti-christian work that had the potential to get its author into serious trouble. Voltaire could not and would not let this slide – especially when he had the perfect weapon on his hands. Payback time!

Voltaire therefore went on to publish a short anonymous pamphlet titled Sentiments des Citoyens (aka How Citizens Feel – since JJ proudly called himself ‘citizen of Geneva’ in his works and he championed sentiments over reason – see, it’s all very clever!) in which he exposed details from Rousseau’s personal life. This of course included the most shocking, most hypocritical, and most memorable detail of all: Rousseau, Mr. Family First, Mr. Let’s-raise-precious-children-in-a-way-that-won’t-corrupt-their-natural-godness had dumped all of his offspring into a Parisian orphanage! Not so virtuous now, is it?

Interestingly, Rousseau never put two and two together and realised Voltaire was the real author of the fateful pamphlet. It would be interesting to see how he would react had he known.

That said, much like d’Alembert’s article on Geneva a couple of years earlier, the Sentiments des Citoyens led JJ to pick up a pen once again to do what he did best: to defend the poorest and most oppressed souls against the cruel and unjust world. Which usually just happened to be himself.

And thus, as Roger Pearson, an author of one of Voltaire's many biographies concludes:

“we have Voltaire to thank for (…) being the catalyst of Rousseau’s Confessions” which he calls “one of the world’s great autobiographies”

III - Historical Materialism

The materialist conception of history starts from the proposition that the production of the means to support human life and, next to production, the exchange of things produced, is the basis of all social structure; that in every society that has appeared in history, the manner in which wealth is distributed and society divided into classes or orders is dependent upon what is produced, how it is produced, and how the products are exchanged. From this point of view, the final causes of all social changes and political revolutions are to be sought, not in men's brains, not in men's better insights into eternal truth and justice, but in changes in the modes of production and exchange. They are to be sought, not in the philosophy, but in the economics of each particular epoch. The growing perception that existing social institutions are unreasonable and unjust, that reason has become unreason, and right wrong [1], is only proof that in the modes of production and exchange changes have silently taken place with which the social order, adapted to earlier economic conditions, is no longer in keeping. From this it also follows that the means of getting rid of the incongruities that have been brought to light must also be present, in a more or less developed condition, within the changed modes of production themselves. These means are not to be invented by deduction from fundamental principles, but are to be discovered in the stubborn facts of the existing system of production.

What is, then, the position of modern Socialism in this connection?

The present situation of society — this is now pretty generally conceded — is the creation of the ruling class of today, of the bourgeoisie. The mode of production peculiar to the bourgeoisie, known, since Marx, as the capitalist mode of production, was incompatible with the feudal system, with the privileges it conferred upon individuals, entire social ranks and local corporations, as well as with the hereditary ties of subordination which constituted the framework of its social organization. The bourgeoisie broke up the feudal system and built upon its ruins the capitalist order of society, the kingdom of free competition, of personal liberty, of the equality, before the law, of all commodity owners, of all the rest of the capitalist blessings. Thenceforward, the capitalist mode of production could develop in freedom. Since steam, machinery, and the making of machines by machinery transformed the older manufacture into modern industry, the productive forces, evolved under the guidance of the bourgeoisie, developed with a rapidity and in a degree unheard of before. But just as the older manufacture, in its time, and handicraft, becoming more developed under its influence, had come into collision with the feudal trammels of the guilds, so now modern industry, in its complete development, comes into collision with the bounds within which the capitalist mode of production holds it confined. The new productive forces have already outgrown the capitalistic mode of using them. And this conflict between productive forces and modes of production is not a conflict engendered in the mind of man, like that between original sin and divine justice. It exists, in fact, objectively, outside us, independently of the will and actions even of the men that have brought it on. Modern Socialism is nothing but the reflex, in thought, of this conflict in fact; its ideal reflection in the minds, first, of the class directly suffering under it, the working class.

Background Cordial, polite, vibrant and cheerful the red eyed Tangotek is one of the many inhabitants of the land of hermits where many buildings are made, defying the very laws of physics reaching an unseen level of wonder. Atrumentuphytum Sp. “Glass Green” (The Inkpot Plant)

I have had the great fortune of coming across these plants in the weeks following my crash landing on the surface of Amadeus III. I was most disheartened to find my data gathering tools—personal recording device included— were destroyed upon landing, thankfully the sap of these succulent xenoflora function with great similarity to ink. For obvious reasons I have decided to name these plants Inkpot plants. It only seems fair they be the first species recorded on this planet given they are the sole reason for my current ability to document the life of Amadeus. Below you will find some observations on these plants:

The primary habitat of the Inkpot plant appears to be the silica rich fog deserts in which I landed. Indeed it seems that the seeds and outer shell of these plants are formed from this silica. From my observations the ink-like sap of these plants superheats under unknown conditions(most likely chemical, fueled by sunlight?) allowing additional material to expand the shell and grow the plant. The leading edge of the growth is sharp and gives these plants part of their inkwell shape. Growth appears to occur during the winter when the fog is more prevalent and the sun less intense. I also observed these plants shedding their stems, quills, and trichomes in the weeks leading up to the growing season.

The sap of these plants is highly viscous and carries a scent quite reminiscent of burning tar. Additionally I have witnessed the consumption of this plant by crumblejaw lead to the death of said via rapid dehydration. The tissues of this plant rapid and continuous vomiting leading to extreme dehydration and, being in a desert, death.

i. your sarcasm in class is what draws sirius to you. he doesn’t know if you mean it but some of your sarcastic remarks have him clutching at his stomach in pain from how much it sends him into boisterous, uncontrollable laughter. you notice him a lot too since he can’t stop laughing at the things you say and only intend to utter under your breath, but you swear he has the ears of an elephant; he can hear you no matter how quiet you are. 

ii. it isn’t long before you and sirius become close friends and he’s walking around with his arm strewn across your shoulders and grinning ear to ear as he converses with you. sometimes, the two of you would get into little bickering fights that aren’t too important and are rather mundane but since he can speak french (which you don’t understand) and you can speak danish, german and spanish, you simply take your pick of whichever language to argue at him with since he wouldn’t understand you while he would argue in rapid french. it sounds like a serious fight but the two of you always ultimately end up giggling with each other. 

iii. sirius loves when you try a new semi-permanent hair colour, he thinks each one looks good on you and begs for you to dye his hair a semi-permanent colour too. the only problem was that he had really dark hair so it wasn’t as effective in showing. this lead to you spending multiple nights using your potions knowledge to somehow create a semi-permanent hair dye that he can use on his dark hair. this eventually leads to one of the marauders' greatest pranks of all time. seeing so many of the nasty slytherin students walking around with semi-permanent neon green hair, all for their ‘slytherin pride’ was so much fun to see. 

iv. obviously, sirius adores your clothing choice as well. It looks so good on you and matches his style well. whenever you could wear casual clothing around the castle, sirius would seek you out to see what you had worn for the day and so that he could show you what he was wearing for the day as well. many people thought you were cute together and asked if you were in a relationship when sirius had you sitting in between his legs, reading a book in the common room and nuzzling his face into your neck from behind. “yeah, we’re together,” sirius answers for both of you as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. you may have missed something somewhere and turned to sirius for an explanation but his answering kiss was explanation enough.

vi. you being able to play piano is a classic but being able to play drums is impressive to sirius and he swears that he could listen to you all day drumming up beats while doing tricks with your drumsticks. you even teach him a thing or two on it, he’s not as good as you but he feels proud every time he completes a short beat and you praise him endlessly. he’s beaming brighter than the sun by the end of it all. 

vii. sirius isn’t a hopeless romantic but by god do you make it easy for him to want to be one. being a ladies man, he knew how to get girls but was never committed. and since you were a hopeless romantic, you could see through his earlier disingenuous acts. you assured him that he didn’t have to push himself for you and he gave in….for a few days only. after that short time, he was determined to win you over with all the actions he used to deem as cheesy before you happened to him. now he quite enjoys picking flowers to make a small, handpicked bouquet for you or sending little origami notes to you with cute romantic sayings he thought of for you or spending his saved up money on matching jewellery for you two to wear together. he was especially enthusiastic about it when you littered kisses all over his face and held him close after every small romantic act.

Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge - DLC Aircraft Ideas

I know some people are gonna look at this and say "WTF man, Crimson Skies came out in 2003... it's not getting any new content!"

True. But there's always a possibility- however small- that the game could be re-released on modern consoles, or (God willing) get a full-blown remake. In which case, the devs could always add new planes.

The original PC game had 17 playable aircraft, most of which did not make it into the Xbox game. Only 2 planes, the Devastator and the Brigand, would ship with the game. 4 others would be added as DLC for online multiplayer only.

I picked out 7 aircraft from the original PC game that I would like to see added if Crimson Skies gets a remake, and outlined what class I think they should be, and what weapons they could have.

It'll probably never happen, but hey... I can dream. And remember, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge was one of the top 5 game on the OG Xbox Live, right alongside Halo 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront II. So I'd say it has a better chance of getting a remake than most.

On the occasion of the 500th birthday of Martin Luther, a working group of scientists from the Academy of Sciences of the GDR and representatives of the universities wrote 15 "theses about Martin Luther". It said:Martin Luther (November 10, 1483 – February 18, 1546) paved the way for the great intellectual and political conflicts with which Germany and Europe entered the epoch of the decline of feudalism, the development of manufacturing capitalism and the first bourgeois revolutions. He is one of the great personalities of German history of world importance.The German Democratic Republic is deeply rooted in all of German history. When

socialist German state, it is the result of the centuries-long struggle of all progressive forces of the German people for social progress. Everything that was progressive in German history and all those who brought it about belong to its indispensable traditions that shape national identity. “The progressive traditions that we maintain and carry on include the work and legacy of all those who have contributed to progress, to the development of world culture, regardless of their social and class affiliation” (Erich Honecker). In this sense, the GDR honors Martin Luther's historical achievements and nurtures the progressive legacy he left behind.

The given social and ecclesiastical conditions determined the central importance of theology in the political, social and ideological debates and the religious justification of the revolutionary demands. Martin Luther triggered the Reformation with his fight against the "international center of the feudal system" (Friedrich Engels). Therein lies its lasting historical merit. The Reformation became an essential part of the beginning revolution, formed the ideological bracket for the very different class forces that supported it and provided the framework for their rapid differentiation in the further course of the revolutionary process. The revolution culminated in the German Peasants' War of 1525, which ended in defeat.II. (...) With this (ie with his critique of the sale of indulgences, ME) Martin Luther created theological foundations for the development of a Reformation ideology that achieved revolutionary effects under the given social conditions; for reformation meant not only a reform of the church, but a more or less far-reaching change in society. At the same time, a people's movement for the Reformation developed, initially supported by the bourgeois-urban opposition, whose forces enthusiastically supported Luther (...)

The people's movement used the arguments and biblical justifications provided by Luther and the other reformers, but did not restrict itself to leave the fulfillment of their demands to the good will of the authorities alone, in the spirit of Luther.Since 1523/24, the relationship to the authorities and the question of how to achieve the goals of the Reformation became the most important point of contention between Luther and the popular movement. At first, Martin Luther still partially supported the popular movement and tried to bridge the widening gap to the opposition of the noble estates, although he was now being criticized and attacked by forces that were pushing ahead, especially Thomas Müntzer, and he was in turn dealing with them. While still in the Wartburg, he justified the abolition of the Mass in Wittenberg, the invalidity of monastic vows, the introduction of the lay chalice and the German language in worship, the transfer of church assets to municipal administration and their use for the poor.At the beginning of 1523, Luther established the secularization program of the middle-class, moderate Reformation. This program aimed to transform spiritual property into secular property, primarily for the benefit of secular feudal lords, the upper classes, and the community.

Luther elevated the congregation's right to make decisions to a principle of the Reformation. Up until 1524, Luther developed his program of the Reformation, which was to be carried out peacefully in alliance with the secular authorities. To the extent that the popular movement became radicalized and also turned against secular feudalism and the princes, Luther turned his back on it. ...VIII. Martin Luther's Reformation had a lasting effect on European countries. It promoted the resolution of fundamental contradictions of feudal society and therefore very quickly became a European phenomenon, accelerating the transition from feudalism to capitalism. Europe thus entered the era of bourgeois revolutions, in which over the next few centuries the bourgeoisie gradually gained political power as well as economic power. ...X. The early Reformation was a very broad movement for revolutionary transformation, heterogeneous in terms of class, encompassing all social strata. The victory of the princes over the rebellious people in the Peasants' War curtailed the class base of this movement and, in cooperation with the bourgeois upper classes, ensured the maintenance of feudal class rule. ...

XII. With the foundation of historical materialism, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels also created the outlines for a scientific view of the Reformation and Martin Luther. They paid tribute to Luther as the initiator of the Reformation and this as the first decisive battle of the European bourgeoisie against feudalism. At the same time, they showed that the Peasants' War and Thomas Müntzer, to which the revolutionary workers' movement feels particularly committed, embodied the necessary consequence of the impetus given by Luther. (...)Distinguishing between Martin Luther's epochal historical achievement, his class limitations and the reactionary misuse of his legacy, the revolutionary German labor movement has opposed the unholy alliance of thrones that invoked Luther's name for its purposes. She neither heroized nor disregarded Luther, but honored his place in the diversity of progressive and revolutionary movements in German history.

With the victory of the working class and its allies, with the construction and shaping of socialism, the social prerequisites have been created in the German Democratic Republic for Martin Luther to be honored scientifically and fairly from all sides. We honor the fighters of past generations who, under their conditions, used their personality to advance progress and enriched culture. We appreciate them critically without overlooking their time and class contradictions and applying unhistorical standards. (...)The GDR maintains the memorials for Martin Luther and the Reformation and respects the spiritual uniqueness of the associated cultural and ethical values. Like all other religious communities in the GDR, the Protestant churches inspired by and based on Luther have constitutionally guaranteed broad opportunities for their activity. In view of the more complicated world situation, all citizens of the GDR, including Christians, are committed to peace-stabilizing measures, detente and effective disarmament in the struggle to find a solution to mankind's vital problem in the present, namely the maintenance of peace. Evangelical Christians of a Lutheran character, like all other believers, have proven themselves as co-creators of the developed socialist society.

They work self-sacrificingly in caring for the handicapped and sick, children and the elderly, not least because of their Christian commitment to charity, especially in the diakonia. In doing so, they preserve and enrich their specific historical traditions, which have helped to shape and enrich the culture and ethics of German and other countries over the centuries.The party and government of the GDR were and are always open to the humanitarian concerns of the Christian churches and have always taken care to work together in this spirit. 

Luther's progressive legacy is preserved in the socialist German national culture. Last but not least, the founding of the Martin Luther Committee of the German Democratic Republic under the chairmanship of Erich Honecker, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the SED and Chairman of the State Council of the GDR bears witness to this. The appreciation of Luther and his work also includes the efforts and the struggle of those forces who are fighting today for social justice, progress and peace in the world with reference to the teaching, example and achievements of Martin Luther. Catherine Miley Fellows, born November 5, 1946, in Marion Ohio, went to her reward, June 26, 2024, after battling cancer. She was 77 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Timothy Dwight Fellows, Sr., born in Brockton, Massachusetts and died February 9, 2003. They met in the late sixties as students at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. They were married and moved to Augusta, GA to rear a family and do missionary work in the schools and churches. In the early 70's they taught the blessed Gospel of Jesus Christ to the children of the public elementary schools of the CSRA sometimes numbering 4,000 children a week.

When the Bible and prayer were kicked out of the public schools, she left the public schools to work with the Christian schools, among them being Augusta Christian (13 years) and Curtis Baptist (13 years). All grandchildren since have been home-schooled.

She is survived by: Son, Rev. Timothy Dwight Fellows, Jr., of Aiken, SC, daughter in law, Andrea Faith Ripley, grandchildren Jemima, Timothy (III), Kezia, Keren, and Tirzah. Son, John Wesley Fellows, of Edgefield, SC, daughter-in-law, Robyn Leona Barr, grandchildren Rebekah (Michael Pascoe) of Arkansas, great-granddaughter Paris; Enoch (Blythe Dodds); Josiah and Gabriel. Daughter, Anna Judson Fellows, of Grand Rapids, MI, son-in-law Steven Renkema, grandchildren Mercedes, Titus, Moriah and Mordecai. Anna cared for her Mother until her passing.
