⚠️ Attention Good Omens fans who aren’t Trekkies ⚠️
Have you seen this man? This is Alexander Siddig, birth name Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abdurrahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi (صدّيق الطاهر الفاضل الصدّيق عبدالرحمن محمد أحمد عبدالكريم المهدي), son of Sudan and England, great-great-grandson of Nubian prophet Muhammad Ahmad, and a damn fine actor.
If Jesus is returning in Season 3, presumably older and wizened, there’s no better choice to portray him than Sid.
I call on the power of fans, heaven, and nightingales to make this happen.
(Also I invite you to become a Trekkie. Sid’s character is in queer relationship with a reptilian spy. That’s our jam, right?)

ZEUS: Release the Kraken!
*waits*
What's the holdup?
ZEUS' ASSISTANT, JOEL: the Kraken is a Norse monster, so I have to file a requisition form with the Aesir. If they approve the release we'll have to wait for the creature to travel here from Greenland

I watched the mythology guy's video on Clash of the Titans remake and... the sexism doesn't stop at Danae dying and Andromeda being ignored.
Like the fricking prologue (which is full of mistakes) about the Titanomachy COMPLETELY omits Rhea, Hera, Demeter and Hestia's roles. Also, Cetus too since she's a female monster.
Did the writers do it on purpose ?
The “Hades makes a monster from his own body” is also Hera’s thing. The whole trying to overthrow Zeus bc he doesn’t respect them is Poseidon’s AND Hera’s thing. They could’ve had an infinitely more interesting story if they sticked to accuracy.
#then they have the audacity to make Andromeda a warrior queen#mf you didn’t even let the actual warrior women shine in your first movie#greek mythology#ancient greek mythology#greek pantheon#perseus#Danae#greek goddess#hera#hera goddess#zeus#hera greek mythology#hera deity#Poseidon#Titanomachy#Cetus#Rhea#clash of the titans#clash of the titans remake

"Could use just a touch more red.": Ray Harryhausen overseeing Medusa's climactic decapitation in "Clash of The Titans." Ever since I first saw it as a kid, I've loved the welter of gore that issues forth from her neck, melting Perseus's fallen shield. It's like a spilled jar of marinara sauce. In the Greek myths, Pegasus himself actually springs forth fully-formed from the red pool, one dead monster giving birth to a second living one.
