Svarog relationship headcanons

yes, this is Svarog x reader I love him and he deserves more love @bladesmuse he's consumed my brain so now all of you have to endure it too. Another Svarog thing coming soon

you will never find a man more loyal than Svarog. end of story.

this man was willing to do almost anything to protect the underground, and he would do the same for you

you and Clara are his highest priorities, even above the underground itself

speaking of Clara

she has to love you for things to work with Svarog

but you get to be like another parent to the adorable little girl!

you guys are like a little family!

anything you need? He will try and find a way to get it for you

even if you slightly express interest, he will sense it and try and get it for you

anytime you're upset or something is wrong, he knows

his scans can detect distress of any kind so there's really no point in hiding anything from him

still, if you don't want to talk about something, he won't push you

this man is the perfect size to hold you and completely surround you

like he's so careful when he holds you not to hurt you in any way, but he makes sure his body is comfortable enough for you to rest against

there's even enough room for Clara to be held at the same time too!

but there are times when he can't hold you, so he may set you down and simply give you his coat if you still need cuddles

you know how Clara has Perkins as a little robot to defend her when Svarog is busy? You have one too!

he'll even let you customize it or call it whatever you want

as long as it can do it's job and keep you safe, you can do whatever you want

Svarog will never forget anything about you

it's literally impossible

any information he gathers about you and what you like/dislike is stored in his databank and tagged as important

a TON of those files tagged important are about you

literally almost every time you bond with Clara too

while he's not naturally affectionate in any way, he will give subtle affection if that's what you want

you just have to let him know and he will do it

Svarog would not be with you if he didn't feel he could trust you

so of course your opinion or thoughts are very crucial to him

that being said, he can't always go by what you say or tell you everything

if he feels it would only hurt you or it's a locked file then he can't tell you and he hopes you can understand

he'll also go against your wishes if he thinks that the outcome will be better for you and everyone else

he may try to surprise you with little dates/cute moments tho

Svarog did proper research on what couples normally do, and he's taking examples from that

for example, he may try to set up a nice little meal for you two (despite him not even needing to eat) and he'll try and make it "romantic"

one thing he really does enjoy, is dancing with you

no matter if it's a slow dance or just him watching you spin around, he loves it

he'll even play those memory files over in his system

somewhere he has a photo of you and Clara smiling together and he treasures it the most

literally has backups upon backups of that photo

Svarog was literally programed to value preservation so he's going to try and preserve this relationship :)

Little Red Riding Hood

This is my entry for the @masked-fools event! This story is focused around Clara and follows the story of little red riding hood! I hope you all enjoy!

The underground is a dangerous place. That was common knowledge to the people of Belobog. If you weren't in on of the towns, you could be attacked by monsters at any time.

That's why it was so concerning when one of the miners mentioned they saw a little girl in red roaming around all alone.

Rumors started popping up one after another about the girl. Many had seen her wandering around an old landfill, but she would always run off before anyone could get close. No one knew her family or where she came from. All anyone knew for certain was that she wandered the landfill alone, no shoes or anything, just her little red coat.

Since none of the miners couldn't even get close to her without her running off, they had to turn to someone they knew she wouldn't be able to outrun: Svarog.

Svarog always had the people of the underground as his priority. He was intimidating and seemed cold at times, but everything he did was to help the underground survive. Whoever this little girl was, she was part of the underground, part of what Svarog has to protect.

Of course the little girl was terrified when the large robot came looking for her. As far as she knew, he was trying to take her away from her home, at least the landfill she's come to know as her home. He was scary, and she wanted nothing to do with him.

But it didn't matter how good she was at navigating the landfill. Svarog's robotic system was able to catch her with relative ease. Her fate was sealed as soon as he was able to lift her by the red hood of her jacket.

A landfill was no place for a child, even Svarog knew that. So he took her back to his home for further analysis of her physical and mental state, as well as to begin searching for any traces of her family.

"No structural or functional issues detected. Mental state: unstable. What is troubling you?"

The little girl didn't respond to the question. Instead, she tried to curl herself further into a corner as if to get as far away from the robot as possible. Svarog is an intimidating guy, everyone knew that. So he could understand why the little girl may not want to speak with him. Still, he wouldn't give up until he found out who she was, and who her family was.

Svarog kept trying to ask her questions roughly every hour to see if she was ready or able to communicate. Each time, he tried asking something different to see if any question would receive a response.

"Were you living at the landfill?"

Once again, silence. Status of attempt number 27 to communicate: failure. She continues to remain silent at any questions.

Just as he was finishing his log on his attempt to communicate, the little girl slowly nodded her head in response to the question. She was living at the landfill.

Update communication log number 27: slight communication achieved. The little girl is capable of understanding and while she has not spoken, she has responded to the question.

For one of the first times in the hours of her being here, she looked directly up at Svarog. He didn't need to scan to see the fear in her big red eyes. Immediately, his systems started analyzing and producing a way to make her feel more at ease.

The large robot knelt down before the little girl, trying to make himself appear as small as possible in front of her. An difficult task for sure since she wasn't even as tall as one of his own legs. Slowly, he raised one of his large metal hands out in front of her.

"Do you have a name?"

She stared hesitantly at his outstretched hand, before changing positions. While she still seemed hesitant about him, she was more...open.

"It's...It's Clara."

"Where is your family Clara?"

"I...I don't know."

Her small voice started to waver as tears built in her eyes. Svarog didn't have a chance to do anything before the first tear fell from her eyes and she started crying.

Update communication log number 27: Communication successful. The child's name is 'Clara' and she has no recollection of where her family is. Background unknown, but responds negatively to questioning about her family.

Conclusion: Continue to observe, collect further information, and generate a follow-up plan for taking care of her.

Between trying to guarantee the safety of the underground and taking care of Clara, Svarog didn't have much time to fully search for her parents. From what he could tell so far, there was no trace of them anywhere.

While Clara had not opened up more about her family, she had gotten a bit more comfortable with Svarog. She had grown comfortable enough to at least be around him without curling up into a corner, and she could talk to him. However, she would resist when prompted to interact with other people.

"Your arms are very big Mr. Svarog."

"Their size makes it easier to carry and life things with. Like you, for example."

"Why do you have so many weapons Mr. Svarog?"

"To keep the underground and all the people in it safe."

"What do these robots do?"

"They help me keep the underground safe."

"What's this robots name?"

"Automaton number #769241."

"It doesn't have an actual name?"

"It knows it's number. That is all."

"How about Perkins?"

"If that is what you desire, it's name shall be Perkins."

As more time passed, little Clara and Svarog the robot grew closer. With his encouragement, she had even reached out and connected with others. In truth, she was better at it than Svarog could've predicted.

Clara had made good connections with some children in the underground, and even with adults. Her compassion has even led to her helping those in the underground just like he does. She's very kind to everyone she meets, and the people of the underground grew to accept and care for her.

The rumors about the little girl in red began to change after that. People in the underground began to refer to her as the little red riding hood with her big bad robot.
