Dropletfern sweetheart you're trying your best
tldr dropletfern's mentor smokewhisker was influenced by their evil mentor, a rogue spy called owlheart who was so bad at being a spy he decided to stay in the clan anyway because of a crush on the leader Ruststar. HAHA GAY.
BUT Owlheart's former apprentice Smokewhisker CUCKED OWLHEART AND HAD KITS WITH RUSTSTAR. Owlheart died bitter and angry about it in the Dark Forest.
And then when Smokewhisker and Ruststar broke up, Ruststar got insecure about breaking the warrior code and demoted his deputy out of frustration. Instead of like... handling it maturely.
and while one medicine cat, Smokewhisker, is screaming at Ruststar to pay child support, Dropletfern is just. Emo and high.

MEET THE CLAN-
Ridgeclan is home to 10 cats at the start of moon 1 each ranging in different personalities and desires,
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BURDOCKSTAR:
Burdockstar is the leader of Ridgclan at this current time, she is a rather young leader but that only means a longer time in control of her clan. Like her father before her she was trained to rule the clan with strict paws and a hatred for other clans within their borders.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BRACKENSTEP:
BrackenStep is the current deputy of Ridgeclan and yet some dont think he deserves the position, the tom is rather arrogant thinking he is the best warrior in the clan i mean he was chosen to be deputy after all. The truth only being that he was chosen because he would blindly follow BurdockStar off the cliff side if she so ordered it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SILENT WHISPER:
With all the tough cats in the positions of power SilentWhisper is a nice face to have in the medicine den compared to the battle hungry Burdockstar. She is a very spiritual young cat who takes every sign she sees as a omen from starclan even though BurdockStar could care less for them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GUSTGLARE:
The oldest warrior and cat living in the clan as of now, GustGlare is a spitful tom who thinks he should have been chosen as the new deputy. He knows he cant oppose BurdockStar but his resentment towards BrackenStep shines through to his apprentice BlackberryPaw.
--------------------------------------------------------------
SALMONSCALES:
For having a strange choice in name for a RidgeClan cat SalmonScales makes up for it in her loyalty and fierceness. She is very much the brute of the clan following any act of agression towards the other surrounding clans with glee.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WILLOWHEART:
Compared to her clanmates WillowHeart is by fair the kindest of all the warriors in the clan, she tends to help out any cat along the border who are from another clan before any agression breaks out, her luck hasnt run out yet and her acts of kindness towards the enemy havent been discovered.
--------------------------------------------------------------
SPARKRUNNER:
The youngest out of all of the warriors SparkRunner is a rather bubbly face to see in such a harsh clan, maybe its theur young nieavity or just pure blindness to the horrors of his clans actions he doesnt seem to grasp the corrupt teachings of his clan.
--------------------------------------------------------------
BLACKBERRYPAW:
With a mentor like GustGlare a cat is bound to end up nervous and insecure, as the only apprentice as of now and with talk of such traitorous plans from his mentor BlackberryPaw is certainly feeling the pressure of living up to his clans expectations.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DANDELIONKIT:
An excitable kit who always wants to prove herself with her already growing skills DandelionKit is very ready to become an apprentice to serve her clan she has fully bought into the lies passed down to BurdockStar ready to follow her teachings maybe she'll even become the great leaders apprentice.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HOLLOWKIT-
The younger half brother of the great BurdockStar he already feels the hatred of his half sister and clan members after all being a half clan abomination to his clan and spawn of a traitorous mother that hate is very much respiricated, even filled with so much hate he cannot wait to start his apprenticeship wanting to fufill and dark plans he has cooking up in that tiny child brain of his.

Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to the official Willowclan clangen tumblr blog!
I'm using this blog to spread my range for this series as well as post the art featured in those videos in an organized format!
Willowclan is a new clan formed alongside Groveclan, Ridgeclan, and Shrubclan. The majority of the cats here came from an animal shelter that had burned down.
Willowclan is devoted to the Warrior code and are the closest to Starclan, generally speaking. Of course, not every cat is the same and some definitely don't have much faith in Starclan, but it's what most kits grow up to learn about the clan!
They live in a marshland with their camp located under the shelter of a Weeping Willow tree and next to a pond. They hunt fish and other small land critters, except for birds. Willowclan cats have a close connection to birds and most wear bird feathers either on their shoulder area or tail, depending on rank. The leader and herbalists also have specific bird companions that stick by their side.
Here's to hoping you all have fun watching these goobers go through life and deal with obstacles, either inside or outside of the clan.

Adventures in LifeGen: Ridgeclan part 1
RNG decided that the first medicine cat , Owlheart, was a spy sent from another clan who's trying to convert their recently graduated apprentice into another follower of the Dark Forest. Owlheart got a crush on the leader though and stuck around. But it's not like he likes Ruststar or anything right? Medicine cat relationships are forbidden anyway, B-b-baka. At least Owlheart can focus on trying to corrupt Smokewhisker.
Meanwhile Smokewhisker, that newly graduated medcat apprentice, was too influenced by Owlheart and decides "lol fuck the warrior code I'm cool and edgy too" and actually makes a move on Ruststar. Like dayumn, Owlheart, your wig just got straight up Snatched. And now Smokewhisker and Ruststar have their own kit, too. How does the rest of the clan even feel about all this Sinning and Warrior Code Breaking???
Well... Ruststar is completely agnostic and the deputy couldn't care less, because everyone's time is preoccupied with needing to supervise Daykit, a hyperactive tiny menace on a constant sugar high who's only goal in life is to be the best they can possibly be at screaming their tiny fuzzy little lungs out at any given moment. If anything happened to Daykit I would kill everyone in this room including myself.
But hey, there's three medicine cats, that's gotta be good right? Well... one's a spy with an allegiance to the Dark Forest, who sucks at their job and failed the assignment so badly they got cucked by their own apprentice. After that former apprentice breaks up with Ruststar, the single mother to a forbidden kit becomes more bloodthirsty than the Dark Forest mentor that was supposed to be spying on the clan. And meanwhile, the third medicine cat? Smokewhisker's former apprentice, Dropletfern, is so depressed about her coworkers being so fucked up and the rest of the clan being so cringefail that she becomes a gloomy depressed stoner and becomes too high to care about treating her clanmates' injuries.
"Hey, Dropletfern? We're sad that Owlheart died to a badger attack, can we maybe like... hold a funeral for him or something?"
"Ehhhhhh.... I mean, like... he was kind of like... a Dark Forest spy, so, I kinda don't really wanna... y'know... do that. Go ask Smokewhisker to do that or something."
Smokewhisker meanwhile is hunched over in a corner of the medicine cat den, trying to get Ruststar to pay child support while her eyes bulge out her head and she rocks back and forth with a bloodthirsty laugh like a Ren and Stimpy character.
A warrior in the other corner of the medicine cat den coughs up a lung and wheezes desperately for someone to please treat their snake bite already.
Dropletfern can't hear them though over the sound of Lovecats playing over their stereo as they hit the bong, cough up some catnip and slow blink "wh...what... snake??? nah man, yoU'RE THE FREAKIN' SNAKE MAN. Y'ALL SNAKES. THIS WHOLE CLAN ARE SNA-- *passes out and bed rots in the moss*"
I'll draw Dropletfern and Daykit later because these are definitely my two blorbos so far.

Character Highlights: Peakclaw
Peakclaw is a gray speckled tom. He was one of the Clan founders and was mate of RidgeClan’s deputy, Brindlecloud. He currently resides in the dark forest.
Peakclaw joined RidgeClan as an apprentice, though he’d insist he was practically a warrior. He was a BoulderClan apprentice and found himself in trouble there often. He would sneak out to explore the twolegplace, and while he’d never take up a kittypet mate, he found the winding streets and strange dens intriguing to explore. Brindlecloud approached him during his first gathering (he’d been prevented from going for four moons in a row). They asked him if he ever felt like he should be somewhere else. He said that he did, and Brindlecloud told him about the Clan they were trying to create. Peakclaw thought it was an ingenious idea and eagerly agreed; some of that enthusiasm was inspired by the sparking crush he had on the warrior.
Bugstar finished his training, and Peakclaw hated every moment of it. He didn’t get along with any cat in the Clan, except for Brindlecloud and that meant that he just spent all his time with Brindlecloud and didn’t pursue other relationships. If you asked most RidgeClan cats about Peakclaw, they’d say they either had never spoke to him but heard he was a real fox-heart or say that every talk they’ve had with him ending with an argument.
Perhaps it’s BoulderClan independence that caused this haughtiness that got Peakclaw in trouble. BoulderClan were known to believe they were better than the other Clans as they were better fed and could spend more time on finer arts. They often composed poems and created art on stones with berries as paints. Peakclaw was no different, though the harshness of RidgeClan territory limited the time he could spend on his art. Brindlecloud found all these things novel and interesting; Bugstar saw them as a waste of time.
Generally, Peakclaw gets along with BoulderClan refugees and Brindlecloud. Few else.
It would be many, many, many moons before he got his first apprentice, Lavenderheart. They died the day they received their warrior name, having gone with their friends to hunt in celebration and ending up buried in an avalanche. It was a hard hit to Peakclaw.
Peakclaw raised two kits with Brindlecloud, Duskcloud and Cypresswhisker, though Peakclaw ended up outliving his entire family.
The moment Brindlecloud retired, Peakclaw set forth a plan he had been making for many seasons. To Peakclaw, Bugstar deserved to suffer for how he forced Brindlecloud into a role they never wanted. However, they held off on enacting retribution until Brindlecloud was retired so that the mantle of leadership wouldn’t fall upon them. He waited for Bugstar to go on a solo hunting trip, and then, he attacked. The old tom was no match for Peakclaw; after all, Peakclaw was trained by the leader: he knew all their tricks. By the time any cat found Bugstar, the old tom was lifeless and covered in wolverine scent, disguising any other smells.
It was for killing his own leader that Peakclaw was sent to the Dark Forest. He only regrets breaking Brindlecloud’s heart and spends a lot of time by the StarClan border, hoping to see them. So far, he’s only been able to talk to them once: the first day he was sentenced.

Snippets: Do You Have a Moment?
Word Count: 890
Characters: Cicadafur, Boulderpelt, Nightpool, Peakclaw
Some warrior enjoy the greenleaf sun. A relationship is blossoming in RidgeClan, to the chagrin of the Clan’s resident loud-mouth.
—————
Cicadafur rested in the light of the greenleaf sun, pale fur soaking up the heat. Her head laid on Boulderpelt’s flank, the other tom gazing at her curiously.
She hadn’t asked before she laid upon him. She had returned from a hunting patrol, set her freshkill on the pile, and then flopped on top of Boulderpelt, who had already been enjoying the sun. He hadn’t twitched his leg or opened his mouth to scold her; in fact, he moved his tail to lay it over her exposed stomach, though he looked quite confused.
She tilted her head to look directly at him. His face looked quite silly at this angle, and she let out a titter of laughter, using a paw to bop his nose. She could feel Boulderpelt wrinkle his face in surprise beneath her paw, which caused her to laugh more.
“Your face is broad. Like a rock. I like it.” She twirled her tail around in excitement.
“Oh- I like your face too.”
“What about it do you like?” She mewed.
“Your snout.” He put a paw on her nose like she did to him. “It’s thin, kind of like a fox’s.”
She brought two paws up to feel the shape of her muzzle. “It does? I hadn’t noticed.”
From somewhere nearby, Peakclaw growled, “This is the worst flirting I’ve ever been subjected to.”
Cicadafur didn’t even turn to look at him as she said, “I’ve heard you composing a poem for Brindlecloud at night.”
“It’s a tradition in BoulderClan!” Came the defensive reply. “What would you know about romance anyway? You said Boulderpelt looked like a rock!”
Boulderpelt’s ears lowered with embarrassment.
“What’s wrong with rocks? They’re warm and nice to lay on.” She nuzzled further into Boulderpelt’s flank. The red tabby tom seemed surprised but flattered, tail curling around her more tightly.
“They’re also boring and thoughtless, so I guess quite fitting for Boulderpelt.” There was a rustle of short grass as Peakclaw sculked away.
Boulderpelt sighed, glancing at where Peakclaw had been. “He’s worse than a snake with a toothache.”
Cicadafur hummed in agreement.
“Sorry to interrupt, but Cicadafur, do you have a moment?” A soft, elderly voice asked. Cicadafur lifted her head to see Nightpool. The black molly sat down in the grass. “I’ve got a tick on my back that I can’t reach. I’d ask Peakclaw to help but…” She trailed off, glancing to where Peakclaw was observing the sky, presumably thinking of more lines to his love poem.
Cicadafur stood up, shaking a bit of dust off her fur. “Of course I can help Nightpool.” To Boulderpelt she said, “I’ll only be gone for a few whisker twitches.”
She walked away with Nightpool towards the medicine cat den but made sure to run her tail underneath Boulderpelt’s chin as she passed by him. The elderly molly purred with amusement, “When can I expect kits?”
Cicadafur tilted her head in consideration. “You probably won’t be alive to see them,” She answered.
Nightpool flicked her tail. “A simple ‘not anytime soon’ would suffice.”
“Yes, that.”
“Don’t mind Peakclaw by the way, my dear. He’s jealous that other cats have mates when he’s been pining for moons.”
“Did he tell you that?” Cicadafur padded into the cave that constituted the medicine cat den, easily located the mice set aside to have bile harvested from. She collected the bike with a wad of moss, and Nightpool turned her back to Cicadafur.
“He doesn’t have to. He reminds me of my old mate, Tigerfur. He acted like such a mousebrain around other cats but sweet as a songbird to me.”
Cicadafur could see where the tick was. Nightpool’s fur was thin with age, and the swollen lump was difficult to miss. She pressed the bile to it and then tossed the moss ball towards the far end of the den. Lightfur could deal with it later.
“I’m glad Boulderpelt isn’t mousebrained like Peakclaw.”
“Oh but how would you know? When a tom gets around a molly he fancies, he can become an entirely different cat.”
Cicadafur considered that for a moment. What if Boulderpelt was just like Peakclaw, a total fox-heart to every cat except her? Her ears flattened. She liked Boulderpelt because he was serious, considerate, and never said no to her. If he was the opposite… Her tail bristled just thinking about it.
“I don’t think so,” She meowed slowly. “I think I would know.”
Nightpool shrugged. “That might be true. You have better intuition than most cats.
The tick, suffocated by the bile, fell off. Cicadafur pierced it with a claw. “Tick is gone.”
“Thank you, dear.”
“You’re welcome, Nightpool.” Cicadafur made her way to leave but paused at the entrance. “And thank you for the talk. It was… insightful.”
“Why, it’s no problem at all. I’ve gathered all this wisdom; I might as well share it.”
Cicadafur nodded. She could see Boulderpelt, still laying the same way he was when she was laying on him, staring off into open air while waiting for her to return. He was a bit mousebrained, Cicadafur acquiesced, but she didn’t think he was as two-faced as Peakclaw.
She trotted over to him and flopped atop him, this time a bit closer to his face. She could feel his pelt flush beneath her. “So, where were we?”

Snippets: Red Morning, Sailor’s Warning
Word Count: 342
Characters: Brindlecloud, Peakclaw
Brindlecloud never came to the warriors den. Peakclaw goes to find them.
—————
The absence of Brindlecloud in the den was like having no sun in the sky. Peakclaw couldn’t help but glance at the entrance, hoping he could spot a sliver of pale gray fur lingering outside, or that he’d hear the rustle of pawsteps and muttered apologies for being noisy so late.
It never came. Even as the clouds swept past the sky and the red dawn edged closer, there was no sign of Brindlecloud.
Peakclaw lifted himself out of his nest and crept out into the early morning air. There was a stillness to it: no bird songs or thrum of insects; life caught in an unsure midpoint between wake and sleep.
He padded out of camp. The only noise in the hollow was his own paw steps against the rocky ground.
He found Brindlecloud overlooking a cliff. He didn’t slow his steps, clearing the short distance to sidle close to their side. They didn’t acknowledge his presence.
He laid his tail over theirs and looked with them past the cliff.
From here, the sun could be seen, its light spilling over the tops of a faraway mountain, not part of the Greatpeak’s ridge. The sky was turning a flaming red in response, flushed like a new mate at the sun’s ensuing arrival. A tittering songbird began to warble a greeting to the sun and farewell to the moon. The mountain goats rose from their slumber and leapt to their hooves. The stars blinked to sleep, sentry duty over.
The sun controlled so much of their world. In its absence, everything seemed to hold its breath, and with its return, everything could finally continue on as normal, curious as to where it had gone but unable to find the words to ask.
Brindlecloud dipped their head. Peakclaw followed the motion.
“Thanks for coming to find me.” Brindlecloud’s eyes didn’t move from the rising sun.
“Are you ready to go back?” He asked.
Brindlecloud nodded and started on the path back to camp. Peakclaw followed behind.

Snippets: Midsummer Heat
Word Count: 234
Characters: Pigeonfur, Peakclaw
A warrior must patrol rain or shine. Though, Pigeonfur would prefer he didn’t have to.
—————
Pigeonfur hissed as loose pebbles dug into his paw pads. The blazing heat of the sun pressed against the dark fur of his back, and it was only determination keeping him moving.
In front of him, Peakclaw stride forward as if the mountain terrain was no different than the soft, mountain flower dappled hills of BoulderClan territory that he came from. If there was one thing Pigeonfur could give the other tom, it was that he could traverse these mountains like there was nothing to fear.
Irritably, he scuffed his paws to send a few pebbles off the path. They tumbled off the cliff, somewhere far unseen, and there wasn’t a noise in return; it had been swallowed by the howl of wind.
Pigeonfur slammed into Peakclaw’s hindquarters after the tom suddenly halted. He snarled. “Keep moving! I’m not looking to stand next to a cliff all day.”
Peakclaw whipped Pigeonfur upside the head with his tail. In retaliation, Pigeonfur snapped his teeth in the direction of the gray tail, catching a few hairs in between his fangs.
“Ugh!” Peakclaw growled, pulling his tail away. “I stopped because there’s a fox den up ahead, but if you want to get ambushed by a fox, be my guest.”
“Lead with that next time then, badger-face.” Pigeonfur bristled with indignation.
“Use your nose next time then, dirt-breath,” Peakclaw spat back.
It would be a long patrol…

To anyone who is wondering, RidgeClan follows a semi-traditional style of naming. While my prefixes definitely aren’t traditional (I’m far too partial to verb prefixes), I keep traditional suffixes. I feel like it allows me to know the cats better because it means I pay more attention to their skills and personalities so that I can give them a proper suffix. It also means that when on patrol, I know a cat’s skills from a glance. It’s actually really helpful for me.
So if you’ve been looking at these names and going ‘wow they’re quite boring, aren’t they?’ That’s why.
#If you’re unfamiliar with traditional naming#I’d recommend you look into it!#Even if you don’t use it yourself#It can be very helpful for naming your own OC’s because it’s something to keep in mind or can turn to if you’re struggling#The names the game come up with are quite fun#And I do like lyrical names#But like I said it makes me feel closer to these cats to name them myself#clangen#warrior cats#ridgeclan

Character Highlights: Lightfur
Lightfur came to RidgeClan as a kitten, brought by her kittypet father to give her a better life. She was RidgeClans’s second medicine cat and was trained by Freezeclaw. She never had a proper apprentice.
(Don’t be expecting too much art in the future lol. It’ll be quite spare)
Lightfur is curious, determined, and a bit awkward. She has trouble explaining things to others in simpler terms, especially if it’s something that interests her like herbs or birds. Her mate, Hazelpelt, has sat through many herb explanations, but she usually leaves them having internalized none of the information.
For her, becoming a medicine cat was the only path. She loved learning about the world around her, and the idea of cultivating plants, harvesting them, and then applying her knowledge to help others was greatly appealing. It took a lot of begging for her to get Freezeclaw to mentor her. He insisted he wouldn’t be able to train a medicine cat; he’d been a warrior too long and didn’t know quite enough. She said he was the only mentor for her though, not a BoulderClan or TawnyClan one.
She takes her duties very seriously. She received her medicine cat name and not long after Freezeclaw died, but she didn’t pause to mourn him. Not because she didn’t love him, but because Freezeclaw would never expect her to slow down just for him. She showed her grief by throwing herself fully into her duties, hardly taking any time to sleep.
However, she was forced to rest after a landslide broke her leg. She feels very embarrassed about this time in her life, but this is when she made some of the closest friends in her life.
The Clan welcomed a loner who had a base knowledge of herbs. Tanglefur arrived to the Clan with two kits, renamed Wishkit and Rubblekit. Not long after taking up medicine cat duties, Tanglefur began training her daughter, Wishpaw, as a medicine cat with Lightfur’s help. Lightfur appreciated Tanglefur’s gentleness. Before, a grouchy Freezeclaw would keep cats out, and then, Lightfur spent most of her time outside of the den so most cats rarely saw her, but Tanglefur, with her soft voice and motherly ways, brought a warm and inviting atmosphere to the medicine cat den.
Hazelpelt was one of those cats who was drawn by that atmosphere. She’d felt outcasted for her heritage and took to hanging around the medicine cat den to avoid other warriors. Lightfur talked to Hazelpelt practically every day, prattling on about whatever caught her eye or something she found interested. All the RidgeClan warriors were expecting an announcement that they became mates, which came once Lightfur’s leg healed well enough for her to leap onto the Narrowledge and announce it herself.
Lightfur died in a BoulderClan raid on RidgeClan camp. She’d rushed onto the battlefield with a bundle of herbs in her mouth and was struck down by a BoulderClan warrior to prevent her from healing her injured clanmates.
To all cats who knew her, Lightfur was a lovely cat, who, while she could be awkward and chatter bird, showed her just how much she cared in her actions and words. You’d find your nest replaced with fresh moss or wake up from a nap with a fresh piece of prey beside you.
She died helping others, just the way a medicine cat should go.
