Also I think technically Ahsoka is the rightful owner of the Darksaber rn…
Bc of the options you’ve got…
Okay so Maul gets the Vizslas’ asses so he’s got the darksaber. Ahsoka beats him. Ahsoka’s got it.
But then Darth Vader possibly bests Ahsoka, so it’s probably Darth Vader’s now. But also we see Ahsoka come out of the Sith Temple unscathed (as Ezra saved her), too, so how do we know who won? But let’s just say it’s Vaders, bc Ahsoka had help.
Obi-Wan kicks Darth Vader’s ass 9BBY, but then in 0BBY/0ABY Darth Vader… possibly wins against Obi-Wan? Kind of a cheap cop-out bc Obi-Wan kinda just lets the Rapture happen to him instead… but as Darth Vader is the only one to come out of that, I suppose it’s Darth Vader’s again.
But then Darths Sidious and Vader get into it. Both die? But Vader lasts longer… but also he’s dead, so it can’t be his. (And Sidious clones don’t count bc they’re him but they’re not HIM. That singular Sidious is dead. Also that whole idea is stupid as fuck so I’m ignoring the sequels for that.)
So, really, it’s nobody’s after that. So does it revert a step? Ahsoka is the only one left alive. Maul died in Obi-Wan’s arms (gay af hehe), and Obi-Wan Force Ascended to Force Heaven mid battle, and Darth Vader as Anakin Skywalker died meeting his son… so Ahsoka is the only one left… so is it hers still?
Ahsoka rules Mandalore?

Absolutely obsessed with the idea of sugar baby!Paz, he absolutely deserves to be spoiled by Jaster. How do you think he would react to Tor?
Tor: You're a Vizsla! As your clan head I'm ordering you to get away from that filthy True Mandalorian right now!
Paz 'grew up with an Official Talking Stick' Viszla: Well I didn't vote for you.
Jaster, democratically elected by the clans, meeting a Vizsla who fully believes in both a very Mandalorian set of morals and the right of everyone to have a say in matters: I'm aiming for a spring wedding, but if you want to elope that's fine too.
(More seriously, seeing as Paz was entirely willing to challenge Din for the Darksaber because he thought Din would be a bad leader/hadn't upheld the covert's values [and like. he was right in a lot of ways], I imagine he'd take one look at Tor and his complete lack of honor/morals/decency and be like. Fuck that, fuck you, fuck this, give me the stupid shiny sword I'm giving it to the real Mand'alor.
Paz struck me as someone who is deeply devoted to the idea and the philosophy of being a Mandalorian, as well as being a survivor and someone who really cared for the people in the covert, and I feel like he'd very much vibe with the Supercommando Codex and the rewritten Canons of Honor.)

just watched mando s3 it’s great that we TOTALLY had a whole season about din coming to grips with being mand’alor & life without grogu and about dueteragonist bo-katan coming to realise she was only trying to lead mand’alor bc of her sister not bc she thought she was the best leader. and the whole season centred around the theme of accepting who you really are even if you’re certain you’re something else and was about how heroes and leaders can come from anywhere, they don’t have to come from a special bloodline (a sorta thesis against the skywalker saga) and about the uniting power of grief and oppression. isn’t it great we had that instead of a season with no plot
isn’t it great that there were no mando cameos in tbobf and mando season 3 started with him on a bounty, cringefailing at using the darksaber and stabbing himself but he did the job and got paid in a nubian starfighter (he wanted a razor crest but he’s injured so he doesnt argue much) which he then used to find his covert on the canyon planet. then he revealed to the armorer and paz that he had the darksaber which after some time leads to paz duelling din for the saber (without telling the others bc they dont know din has it) and din wins but its revealed he took his helmet off. he’s made apostate IN FRONT OF EVERYONE (EVERYONE!!) with only one IMPOSSIBLE chance of redemption (nobody can go to mandalore anymore!!) and has to leave and now has nothing — no child, no clan. so he does the only thing he can think to and goes to a green planet we’ve never seen before. he lands safely but still injured from his fight with Paz and not fully healed from the original injury he passes out. and the episode ends with a kid running over and telling another kid to call master skywalker
and sure episode 2 was the fanservice episode but its disney! we have to expect a marketable plushie cameo episode — except of course that didn’t mean it wasn’t plot relevant! din wakes up and we realise he’s at luke’s jedi academy and this is great n stuff we finally get to see luke in his prime teaching a whole bunch of students! and we get to see grogu happy and having fun with his kind (which makes din happy but miss his own covert). luke notices din has a saber himself (despite it being well-hidden — luke can sense it) and din admits he can’t use it and that he doesnt think it even belongs to him while luke shows him saber forms (but pretends its for his own training and not din’s bc din refuses to learn). they have a discussion and din reveals he came here bc he got kicked out and has no way to redeem himself bc there are no mines left and even then the planet’s poisonous. luke spouts some jedi stuff asking din if he’s certain and says blind certainty is the enemies of hope and progress or whatever (setting up the larger theme of identity certainty in the season). luke also points out that if they imps r there then they have to have some way of getting around the environment they caused. inspired and knowing grogu is safe here, din is ready to go redeem himself on mandalore. he says he’ll come to see grogu again and luke makes it clear that while attachments can’t get in front of duty, din is always welcome here <3
episode 3 of course had din go to the ruins of mandalore to redeem himself, inspired by luke’s words about certainty he goes to the ruins of sundari, where he knows there was once living waters (the other option is the one surviving and imperial-controlled city, but he’s not that dumb). also bc the imps only hang around the cities so that must be where it's survivable. there’s some imperials about the edge of the city (not many) and he does have to subtly fight them but he gets spotted. he wins but he’s panicking bc during the fight his breathing system got hit but then he notices a plant growing. and he realises he’s not dying — the air isn’t poisonous anymore or whatever! so he turns off his failing life support and goes to the city. he explores the city and finds many remnants of mandalorian culture there in the small parts that survived. ash-covered murals, mostly-burnt toys, something that could have once been a palace. he finds a memorial to a duchess satine kryze and thinks huh like bo katan? (because of course the show wouldn’t ignore bo’s motivations) anyway after some slow but meaningful exploring (its quietness eerie, unlike the quietness of the previous stealth section) he manages to make his way below the city. he finds the mines, reads the inscription and then goes in. except of course its no longer shallow and he falls and he falls and he realises well fuck he’s gonna die. his life support got hit earlier and he doesnt have his jetpack he’s going to sink. but then in the darkness, a great looming eye opens and before din knows it, SOMETHING is throwing him out that sinking water. it had to have been a freak current right? he was hallucinating. surely a MYTHOSAUR didn’t just save him… those are all dead, only to return with a new age of mandalore! he shakes his head, ignores it, and collects the water with something new to bring to his people
episode 4 reintroduced us to old fan favourite bo katan in her depression girl era bc din shows up to her empty palace ready to help her take back mandalore… only to find her in a depression pit and— oh my god is she drunk??! she drops that her ppl left her bc she didn’t have the darksaber and din’s looking at the depression pit like. right. bc of the darksaber. he briefly tries to convince her to fight him for it but she’s like no you’ll throw the fight it won’t be true comba— oh no! explosion nearby bc looks like din wasn’t as careful as he thought and the imperials followed him to bo’s place so both of them have to fucking skeet outta there and bo’s home’s destroyed so din’s like hey come on let’s go to my people we can take back mandalore with them or smthn. so they head back to the covert, din reveals he’s no longer apostate and that mandalore isnt cursed it’s breathable + you can successfully walk on the surface now. this is however interrupted by a beast showing up and trying to kill some ppl. it almost kills paz’s son but din kills the beast first in his starfighter. anyway back to the conversation (now within the cave) and din’s trying to convince his clan that they can take back mandalore (with bo as leader) but none of them want to follow her or risk what few numbers they have left. dejected, din and bo make to leave again, but paz follows them out and is like ?? din you literally have the darksaber why didn’t you use it to get at least SOME of them to follow you and din’s like i don’t want people to follow me bc of a legend, if they follow me it has to be bc they want to and paz and bo r internally like wow damn. anyway paz then says he’ll always fight w din if needed bc he saved his son but if he wants the people to follow him they should try get some of the other clans to help so it looks less dangerous. so bo and din leave on their quest. also throughout this episode, we’re introduced to some random civilian in the reintegration program. its implied they worked with gideon and that they’re preparing for something, but we don’t get much more than that.
episode 5 is the bo episode, this is where we explore her character, have her arc, and ya know really cover her motivations (bc disney would NEVER make it so her motivation is invisible unless you’d seen two other tv shows). din and bo head to where her clan is. they just want to see the clan but they end up being dragged into a b-plot about helping the local pacifist duchess (& duke). din tries to say no but bo-katan says smthn abt diplomacy. this quest initially doesn’t seem plot relevant but throughout bo opens up about her own pacifist duchess sister and she comes to realise how much of this quest has been about trying to live up to satine and not bc she thinks herself the best mand’alor. the thing she said abt diplomacy earlier, she reveals, is just a quote from her sister. anyway they’re finally able to go to bo’s old clan and she, now reinvigorated in accepting and knowing who she is and what she wants (no longer depression girl) challenges axe for leadership of the clan. she wins and in a speech is like we’re gonna retake unpoisonous mandalore by uniting the clans!! most agree but theyre like HOW are we supposed to convince the other clans? and it descends into insane yelling UNTIL a low hum and a black-white light falls over the group. silence falls. everyone looks on. high above his head, din is holding the darksaber (proudly!!) and he’s like we’ll unite them with this. but axe has to constantly be chatting shit and getting up from the floor where he got his ass whipped he’s like really???? you wanna follow him???? he doesn’t even have any mandalorian blood in him!!! and bo makes a great speech about blood doesn’t make a good leader what makes a good leader is knowing when to use your power. and then she’s like he is my mand’alor amen and kneels before him. everyone else follows and din awkwardly stands there still not fully accepting his role
episode 6 was the great prep episode. we start with din and bo helping and getting a new tribe on their side and heading back to Concordia we realise they’ve got this HUGEEEE war camp of mandalorians!! there are so many clans with them now (except one, which din is really missing)!!!!! this episode mostly focuses on mandalorian culture and them training/ planning and din and bo trying to keep the clans from biting each other’s heads off. but this is interrupted when a small group of imperials try to pre-attack them (like they did w bo’s palace) but the mandos all manage to fight back and take them down, which then leads to a whole speech from din and bo about how mandalorians are all fighting but theyre united now in their grief and with this they can fight the empire. the b-plot of the episode comes back to that random civilian from episode 4 and whoomp turns out their plan was to BREAK MOFF GIDEON OUT OF JAIL!! shitttt!!!! oh no!! he’s back now, that’s gonna make their very decent plan to take back mandalore harder but they dont knowww (irony!)
episodes 7 and 8 were the battle of mandalore, woo! it had to be two episodes because it’s a taking whole occupied planet and not a single base, a pretty damn difficult task that definitely can’t be done by two single clans in like 40 minutes! there’s all those mini tiny bases scattered throughout the planet on the ruins (like din encountered in episode 3) AND more importantly there’s the one domed city that the imperials kept alive as their main base — which means they have to be careful, bc they can’t do any sort of aerial assault or great deal of damage to the imperials without also destroying the one surviving place for them to live. so the plan is smaller strike teams to go the bases plopped around the planet as a distraction and to stop reinforcements to the city while the main force surround the city and take it. the first city team (with din and bo) has to open up all the ports and stuff to allow the HUGE armies to get in. unfortunately this is in the main imp base in the centre of the city so they have to get there. (they’d prefer 2 strike teams but they can only spare 1) MOST of the mini-bases r meanwhile being successfully captured. the strike team gets to the centre to de-activate the port shielding n stuff and GASP! IT’S GIDEON!! FROM JAIL!! and he’s surrounded by fucking MANDO STORMTROOPERS and IN BESKAR ARMOUR oh no!! ambush!! he knew they’d have to go here to allow a full-scale assault! the small strike team at sundari also gets captured bc there were some mandotroopers there (they increased security post episode 3). episode 7 ends on a cliffhanger bc all seems lost and the strike team’s surrounded
episode 8 starts straight off the cliffhanger and oh no they’re all gonna die gasp WHEN BAM fighting noises elsewhere, everyone’s confused, when paz’s voice crackles over din’s comm like hey bro! BC DIN’S CLAN FINALLY SHOWED UP TO HELP AND THEY WERE ABLE TO MAKE THAT SECOND STRIKE TEAM and in the confusion din & bo’s team take out the mandotroopers, gideon gets away. din and paz and the armorer come face to face and paz calls him mand’alor or smthn bc he’s also accepted it and they’re like woo let’s go now we can fight fr!! din heads to help lead the battle ig but bo’s like nah i have to end gideon for what he did to our planet. and din’s like well he’s wearing beskar armour so you’ll need this and gives her his beskar spear WHICH IS SYMBOLIC BC he’s finally giving up his other weapon and is going to solely use the darksaber!! he’s accepted who he is and is going to lead their ppl!! so yeah instead of having din fight gideon, who he already beat once, bo fights him and its incredibly cathartic. at sundari that strike team who got captured is also not looking great but MYTHOSAUR EX MACHINA COMES AND FUCKS UP THE IMPERIALS THERE (its returned!!). so big battle and gideon’s down and the darksaber DOESN’T get destroyed yay! afterwards they all vibe and they go to the forge and the armorer relights it and they proclaim din mand’alor fr and he accepts it and throne. sure he's still a BIT uneasy (mand'alor the reluctant anyone?) but he's not saying NOO now loll. yayyy!! AND THEN final scene is din returns to the jedi academy like hii thanks for ur advice u were right being blindly certain abt stuff is meh and leaves no room for hope. uh could i show grogu mandalore i promise i’ll bring him right back and it ends on din showing grogu the planet finally bc thats cute and fanservice
anyway isn’t it great this is exactly what happened, it’s all canon and definitely not the stealingpotatoes sequels canon continuity rewrite!

Grogu is Dinbo's Child
It's adorable that Din and Grogu both have the same symbol of their clan on their armor-The Mudhorn. It signifies the moment a bond/relationship was formed between them. Since Episode 2 of Season 1 The Child, they slowly became each other's family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But have we all forgotten the possibility that Grogu still has that Mythosaur necklace Din gave him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And who has a Mythosaur symbol on the same right pauldron where Din has the Mudhorn's signet? Bo-Katan Kryze.
Tumblr media
And all of it is in the same style—unpainted pure beskar!
If Grogu still has that necklace, then he carries both Dad and Mom's Din and Bo's signets: the Mudhorn and the Mythosaur. And since Din was the original owner of the necklace, it isn't just Grogu's; it’s also Din's.
I saw somewhere that Season 3, Episode 2, "The Mines of Mandalore," has direct parallels with Season 1, Episode 2, "The Child."
In both episodes, Grogu forms a connection with both Din and Bo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In both episodes, Din and Bo protect Grogu in the same manner, by pushing his pram away from danger.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In both episodes, Grogu witnesses Din and Bo's combat skills firsthand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that line from Bo-Katan, "Do you think your dad was the only Mandalorian?" is like telling Grogu that his mom is also a Mandalorian. Just saying.
In both episodes, Din and Bo encounter a creature that becomes the signet of their right pauldrons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additionally, Din is saved in both instances by someone his group considers an enemy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And explain why Bo left her new pauldron unpainted, like Din's, when she could have painted it blue. It's not like the Armorer didn't have any blue paint. It was a deliberate choice.
In Season 1, Episode 2, Din and Grogu started their journey as a clan of two. Since that moment, they were never separated. Grogu goes wherever Din goes. Of course, they were temporarily separated in the Season 2 finale, and that lasted for two whole years. But look, they still came back to each other because their relationship was already forged.
In Season 3, Episode 2, Din, Grogu, and Bo started their journey as a clan of three. Since that moment, the three of them have spent each episode together, never allowing themselves to be separated. Wherever she goes, Din and Grogu go as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then the finale happened, and they were separated. However, since the bond was already forged, it was only a temporary separation. They will be back together once more, and when they do, they'll officially be a family, a clan of three.
In the finale of Season 3, Grogu sensed the Mythosaur at the moment when he and Din were officially announced to be a family. Did it just come back in that one moment randomly? No, I don't think so. It could be foreshadowing that someone would also be an official part of their family that carries that same symbol of the creature Grogu felt.
I believe Grogu should be next in line after Bo-Katan, considering the darksaber was originally owned by a Mandalorian Jedi Knight. Grogu essentially embodies these roles already. Many of us found it amusing that Grogu was randomly knighted in "Guns for Hire," but was it really random? He just needs to be officially named the heir to the throne. The most logical way for him to inherit the throne would be if Din Djarin and Bo-Katan got married.
I can already imagine how Grogu could possibly unite everyone. He would embody both Bo-Katan and Satine's visions for Mandalore. Bo-Katan, along with Din, represents the warrior aspect of the Mandalorians, while Grogu, as a Jedi, stands for peace, reflecting Satine's ideals for Mandalore. Grogu could carry both of these philosophies, making it not just Bo-Katan's legacy, but also Satine's.
Also, in Season 3, Episode 7, notice how Grogu is the only one able to step in and stop Axe and Paz from killing each other? Leader vibes already.

Don’t touch my child.
<if Paz Socorro lived Au>
Summary: Little Spider keeps getting picked on, Paz isn’t happy about it but kids are cruel. However, adults are old enough to know better and Paz is willing to put them all in their place if they don’t……………even if they’re visiting tribal leaders.
(Both of the clan leaders are real characters so you can google them to see what they look like 😁)
•••
Both the Olangi and Tayrangi clans had been staying with the Omatikaya for the past week. Things had been going reasonably well despite the initial tension of the clans interacting with sky people again after the war.
After the first incident of a few Olangi warriors getting riled up over the scientists, it had been unanimously decided that everyone would be better off if the humans stayed away….. decided by everyone but Spider and the Sully kids that is.
Other than that, as far as Jake could tell everything was going great. The people were happy to have something the celebrate and they were strengthening there bonds with their allies, not to mention catching up with old friends.
So yeah, everything was going great, the evening meeting was getting on almost perfectly….……until an angry Paz Socorro walked into the tent with her son sleeping on her hip.
“Paz, nows not a great time. I’ll speak with you once the meetings over” Jake spoke dismissively before apologising to the others chieftains for the interruption.
Paz scowled at him whilst she gently repositioned Spider so as not to disturb his sleep.
“No Jake. Now” a stunned silence filled the room. Mo’at only raised an intrigued eyebrow in response.
“You do not speak to the Olo’eyktan in that way demon” Akwey, the Olo’eyktan of the Olangi, raised his voice in outrage.
Paz’s cold eye scanned the man up and down before giving a disapproving humph and turning to Jake once again.
“Jake I’m going to need you to translate for me real quick, I want to make sure my words are understood” Paz’s voice was as cold as ice as she spoke.
“Paz, now is really not-“ Jake began to protest before Paz interrupted him whilst rolling her eyes.
“Mo’at, would you be a dear?” Paz asked sweetly as she gave the woman a genuine smile. She’d always been rather fond of the Tsahík since she’s met her.
“Certainly” Mo’at nodded. The feeling was very mutual. Paz smiled and nodded her head again in thanks.
“This is ridiculous!” Akwey yelled in outrage. Ikeyni, the young leader of the Tayrangi, nodded her head in silent agreement.
“Tsk” Paz only clicked her tongue in disappointment, seemingly spurring the man on.
“This demon has no voice here! It is a meeting of our clans!” The man continued yelling.
“You done?” Paz asked, her voice filled with motherly disappointment.
“How dare you-!?” His words were quickly cut off.
“Okay nose pick you had your turn. Now listen up” Paz’s voice was sharp and quiet as she gently bounced Spider, keeping him asleep despite the noise. Jake’s eyebrows shot up as his eyes briefly flickered to the stick piercing the bridge of the man’s nose.
“First of all, lower your voice. My son is sleeping and we’re all adults with fully functioning ears here” Paz said as she raised a disapproving eyebrow.
“This cannot be allowed!?” Akwey exclaimed.
“Akwey, be quiet so this can be done” Ikeyni groaned, earning a shocked look from the man and an approving nod from Paz.
“Thank you sweetheart” Paz briefly smiled to the young Olo’eyktan as if Ikeyni was a small child. Only to get shocked eyes in return from the woman.
Akwey huffed in annoyance.
“I’ll be brief. As I’ve said, this is my sweet little boy. His name is Miles but he prefers to be called Spider, if you talk to him you will address him as such. But” Paz turned towards Akwey as she paused.
“I would rather you don’t go near my son again as it’s you I have a problem with” Paz’s voice was heavily laced with venom she directed towards the man, whilst simultaneously rocking Spider gently from side to side.
“What’s this about?”Jake finally asked in confusion.
“Jake hunny, don’t interrupt me I’m still talking” Paz didn’t even turn towards him, only raising a single finger in his direction as her eyes focused on Akwey.
Jake sat stunned as Ikeyni attempted to stifle a snort.
“Earlier today, you insulted my son before grabbing him by the arm. I’m told you lifted him up before dropping him again after he bit you” Paz’s frown deepened whilst her voice remained quiet and reprimanding. Jake’s eyes widened in shock before his face darkened in displeasure.
“Whilst I don’t condone him biting you as that’s not how I raised him. I also can’t condemn him as you are an adult who should know better, especially after seeing the bruise you left on my little boy” Paz gently pulled Spider’s wrist into view, displaying a large darkening bruise across his forearm.
“Imagine my shock, as a mother, when my son comes crying to me saying this was the work of an adult” Paz gave the man a joyless smile. Jake could feel the malice radiating off of Paz’s small form, slowly but surly building the tension within room.
“So, seeing as no one has taught you this lesson it is my job to do so” Jake watched as the confidence slowly drained out of Akwey’s features. Even Jake himself was feeling uncomfortable and he wasn’t even the focus of the woman’s ire.
“You are a Na’vi adult, meaning you are very big and very strong” Paz paused, as if wanting to make sure the man was still following along.
“My son, is a six year old human, meaning he is little and breakable” Paz placed a gentle loving kiss onto Spider’s soft curls.
“Therefore, you should not put your hands on him, you should not manhandle him as if he was a Viperwolf or some other beast. Do you understand so far?”Akwey hesitantly nodded for the woman to continue.
“Good. So here is what we are going to do, and here is my warning. I will say it once so listen well” Paz’s voice was soft and firm as she repositioned a wriggling Spider, situating him comfortably on her other side.
“Tomorrow morning, you are going to apologise to my son and explain to him that what you did is in no way acceptable, and you feel sincerely sorry” Paz waited a moment, her eyes briefly flickering to each Olo’eyktan.
“This applies to all of you so listen up” Jake found himself subconsciously sitting up straighter. He was relived to see Ikeyni doing the same.
“If my son miss behaves you will bring him to me and I will punish him accordingly. You will be respectful and polite to everyone, including my child, just as you would any member or your clan.” Ikeyni silently nodded along to Paz’s words, although they felt more like orders none would dare to disobey.
“Most importantly, you will never put your hands on my child again, or I will tare you into tiny pieces and feed you to a Thanator. Am I understood?” There was no inflection in the woman’s voice, no empty threat in her words or an ounce of hesitation in her eyes. All three of them nodded instantly.
Jake wouldn’t soon forget the chill that ran up his spine as the woman smiled and nodded, he doubted any of the other chiefs would either.
“Good. Now I need to tuck my little Spider into bed, and you all have a meeting to get on with. Mo’at, thank you for being such a darling and translating for me” Paz grind sweetly at the woman, receiving and approving nod in return.
“Mmhmm mama” Spider mumbled as he began to stir.
“Shh baby go back to sleep, mama’s got you don’t worry” Paz gently rocked him back to sleep as he curled tighter around her.
“Good night” Paz whispered as she walked out of the tent.
“Good night” They all whispered back.
A thick silence fell within the tent, only to be broken when Mo’at let out an amused huff before leaving to…..well jake wasn’t entirely sure what she was going to do.
“I feel as if my mother has just told me off” Akwey spoke hesitantly.
“For one so small………she is fierce, like a mother 'angtsìk……I like her…but she is still very scary” Ikeyni said softly in amusement.
“Your telling me” Jake huffed as he ran his hands over his face and through his hair.
“Ma Jake, are you done?” Neytiri said as she popped her head inside the tent.
Jake took a moment to look at the too faces sat across from him.
“Yeah..yeah I think we’re done for now” despite having talked about nothing they had originally planned, both Akwey and Ikeyni instantly nodded in agreement.
The next morning Spider received a sincere apology, from a very sorry Olo’eyktan, much to the shock of everyone….well almost everyone.
Ikeyni spent the rest of her trip with Paz when she wasn’t needed elsewhere, asking the woman for advise on how to get stubborn warriors to listen to her without hesitation…..and complimenting and indulging Spiders every whim.
If Jake found himself referring to Paz as ma’am more often……well that was nobody’s business.
•••
I had so much fun writing this! ⭐️⭐️
It also turned out way longer than planned 😅
I totally see Paz as this short lady who will put anyone in there place😂 even big scary Olo’eyktans.
Let me know if you have questions or ideas🫶 or if you just liked the fic❤️
I hope you enjoyed reading this my lovelies❤️❤️

Hi.
So I just started watching Mando season 3 and I was reading up on Mando lore stuff in the break and now my brain is highlighting all that fun symbolism stuff, so I thought I would chat about it cause ranting to my friends was clearly not enough
(btw this is about the 3 factions of the Mando Civil War)
Anyway:
The fact that Din knows, and is sort of respected by, arguably, the last remaining members (and thus heads) of the clans that headed the 3 factions, the Vizslas (Paz), the Kryzes (Bo-Katan) and the Fetts of House Mereel (Boba), which were the leaders of the Death Watch, New Mandalorians and Haat Mandalorians respectively, is greatly amusing, especially since he's being set up to be the very unwilling and accidental Mand'alor, cause it means he's also technically gained the trust and respect of all 3 factions.
(AND technically also united them, since they've all protected Grogu, which doesn't have to count, but it would mean, symbolically, that he has already united Mandalore, from when the 3 factions were separated. Not that he couldn't actually get them all to work together, since he could totally call all these dudes (since he's had his dip) and they would very likely come help him, no questions asked)
And so, not only has our soft, silly little Mand'alor accidentally earned his title via conquest, he has also earned it by technically uniting the 3 factions, also accidentally, of course, so he's accidentally become even more qualified for his unwanted position. (+ a certain spoilery occurance, that honestly just makes him even more overqualified)
It's really the sword that chooses it's master isn't it.
Din definitely didn't choose the Mand'alor life, but boy, is it screaming crying throwing up choosing him.

Jake Sully was an unabashed flirt. Jake Sully was an absolute menace. He had been a bit of a menace when he’d been human and wheelchair bound but after the final transfer through the eye of Eywa? Honestly, it had more than likely been an issue probably even before then but he’d only been in his Avat for a handful of hours before he’d been away learning how to be one of The People. The issue had been and still was that his tail always seemed to have a mind of its own.
You could tell a lot about what a Na’vi or an Avatar was thinking or feeling by learning the movements their tails and the way Jake’s twitched around you (although with those expressive ears, those lasciviously teasing smiles, and the tone he delivered certain words and phrases…); he was without a doubt an unrepentantly horrible flirt. He’d been that way back on Earth, too. Tommy, because you’d met the younger Sully first through university and induction into the Avatar program and he’d eventually introduced you to his older twin after the incident in Venezuela that left Jake in a chair, had quickly become embarrassed beyond belief whenever Jake turned his flirty behavior your way. And you shouldn’t have fed into him. You really shouldn’t have but if your ex hadn’t cheated… well Jake’s flirting had made the sting of your ex two-timing you for your uni class enemy all the more bearable.
And now, being only one of thirteen women and one of thirty-five remaining humans staying on Pandora after the near destruction of HomeTree, his flirty behavior was still welcome, most of the time, because he was the only one showing interest in you it seemed.
Most of the scientists were more focusing all of their attention upon the flora, the fauna, The People than making romantic gestures towards others, though there had been a few new relationships crop up. The techs and the pilots usually stuck more together, while the scientists devoted themselves more to their work than to fornicating with each other. Accidentally finding Trudy straddling Norm’s lap of all things one day had been a laugh around the labs for a solid month but the two of them surprisingly worked well together. And they had been the ones who had taken charge of raising Paz Socorro’s orphaned baby whom they had decided to use his middle name ‘Ethan’ instead of what the birth certificate labeled his first name as: Miles. The last Miles that had been on Pandora – well, Neytiri had killed the bastard and with good cause, too. You all just wished you knew who Ethan’s father had been as that space had been left blank.
One of Pandora’s great mysteries, you supposed.
“Jake, get control of your tail or I’m gonna cut it off!”
Menace.
You had been trying to structure the DNA strands of one of the flowers that Mo’at had once told you was great for healing until Jake’s tail had knocked over a glass tray of tubes behind you, wagging away like an overexcited puppy. At least he had the decency to look sheepish at the dirty look you shot him. “Sorry, Paskalin,” he called out, backing away from the mess. His Avatar body was too large now to successfully grab a human-sized broom and sweep up the shards leaving you to do it. You went to crouch over the pile you’d made a few minutes later only to feel that menace of a tail swat your backside. You looked up but he was studiously looking away from you, the corner of his mouth curled up.
“Go bother Neytiri or something,” you snapped, taking the pan of dirt and now useless glass and carrying it to the closest bin.
Jake’s good mood plummeted. He grumbled low in the back of his throat like a displeased feline. Your words had been a low blow, honestly, and you’re not sure why you’d chosen that to say to him. After the death of her father and her intended had been made Olo’eyktan, Neytiri and Tsu’tey had gone ahead with their official mating after most of the Sky People had been chased off planet despite her having been seemingly interested in Jake before. There had been a huge ceremony a week ago, Jake had begrudgingly recalled to you as you had not been invited. Lots of paints and new necklaces and intricately designed loincloths woven together specifically for their union. And he’d been introduced to the moonshine-like drink The People referred to as unilpay.
You tried not to shiver at the memories of that night. A drunken Jake had stumbled his huge blue body through your bedroom door at the witching hour after Neytiri and Tsu’tey’s wedding ceremony and nearly scared the absolute shit out of you. In vindictive retribution, you recalled he’d ended up knocking his large head against both your doorframe and your ceiling light fixture, mumbling incoherently in a broken hybrid of the Na’vi language and English before slumping heavily over your bed, nearly squishing you in the process. And that damn tail of his had wrapped itself possessively around your upper thigh, the dark tuft flicking lazily against the very thinly covered juncture of your thighs. At least you had had panties on to begin with. Not having expected Jake’s sudden appearance, you had taken care of your own needs earlier that night and hadn’t thought to air out your room. You (later that night) had also had a pretty fantastic dream that Jake had woken you in the middle of the night and fingered you to completion with two of his large, blue fingers, stretching you wider than your ex could have dreamed.
When Jake had woken that next morning, he had buried his head into the crook of your neck, moaning about how good you smelled, hand digging into the softness of your belly. His tail had tightened around your leg and flicked against the front of your panties some more until you pinched the tip of his ear so you could escape and avoid how aroused he had been making you. The Avatar had quickly let you go after that, letting you escape with an unreadable frown upon his features. He’d been swinging by the lab nearly daily after that and making even more of a menace of himself every time.
“I’m sorry, Jake,” you said, seeing the unhappy look upon his face at the sting your words had caused.
“S’fine,” he mumbled, looking anywhere but you. “I’m gonna head out now.” He hardly ever cut his time short like this but you understood he was smarting at basically getting reminded that he’d been dumped and was now dealing with your shitty attitude and he needed to, metaphorically, lick his wounds. He turned to head out of the lab and his menace of a tail got in the final words, swatting your backside once more, this time a little harder, the sting in your backside causing your quim to tingle.
“Menace!” You called after his retreating back.
Shit.
You were going to need a cold shower.

Jake hadn’t come back for two days, which was unusual, but not unheard of. So, again, you hadn’t expected to see him so late that night and had been enjoying the solitary of your private bunk, lights off, headphones in, naked and sweating upon your rumpled bed as you watched the pornographic video upon your tablet, fingers stuffed up into your dripping pussy.
The acting was as terrible as any fuck film usually was but what made it one of your favorites was the fact that, if you squinted, the main male and female characters kinda looked like you and a human Jake with his Na’vi size since the male pornstar was so much bigger than the female he was spanking away. It was a kink of yours, wanting to feel that burn of a hand striking your plush, naked bottom until the skin was red and raw, his other hand pressed firmly between your shoulder blades. (You hated it when the male grabbed their co-star’s hair in a tight fist and yanked their head back painfully. How was that supposed to be pleasurable? It always looked like he was about to rip chunks out of her scalp or snap her spine.) Then, with a sore bottom, when the female pornstar either got fingered to completion or fucked, ohhh, the orgasm that ripped through you was always a satisfying one.
Again… you hadn’t expected Jake to show up.
Legs spread wide, two fingers deep with your thumb circling your hardened clit, the sudden blue hand lifting your tablet from where you had it propped up to watch your fuck film caused you to shriek — and not in pleasure.
The sharp brightness of the video on Jake’s sapphire colored face was… weird. His eyes glowed with the light refracting out of them, much like a feline on Earth. You yanked your earbuds from your ear, the sound of skin slapping together fading from your hearing. You scrambled back, trying to locate your bedsheet to preserve whatever modesty you might have had left, screeching, “What the fuck, Jake?!” Your heart was galloping away in your breast, and you could feel the stickiness of your arousal on your one hand clutching the cotton to your chin. You could also feel it seep out of you as your cunt clenched on nothing, seeing him standing there.
“Well damn, baby girl,” the Avatar chuckled huskily. “If this is what you’re into, I could accommodate you. Unless you’re still embarrassed from the other night?” Golden eyes flashed as he turned towards you, a challenging brow raised.
Trying to restabilize yourself, you demanded, “What are you talking about, you menace?”
He smirked, hearing the familiar nickname. “The night I came by and got you off,” he replied, as if reminding you of something you should totally know about. You stared at him blankly. The grin began to fade. “After Neytiri’s wedding…?” You gaped at him. “Come on,” he groaned. “Don’t be embarrassed, baby girl.” Your cunt clenched again, hearing him call you that. “I’ve wanted to fuck you since I met you and I came by a week or so ago and I got you off and we fell asleep and then you ran away the next morning even though I could smell you getting hot for me again.”
He thought…
Oh… that changed things. Maybe…
“Jake… I…” you floundered, still. It had been a dream though… right? He hadn’t actually gotten you off, right? You had felt a bit more stretched out and sated that usual but that was because of the wet dream… right?
A considering look crossed his features. “I could take your choice away…” Your eyes bugged slightly as you stared up at him, still gaping away like an idiot or a fish or an idiot fish, heart kicking up speed in your chest, body trembling. A whole body shiver traveled through you. Jake scented the air and his golden gaze darkened, a predatory smirk crossing his features. “You like that, baby girl,” he stated. “You just got hotter for it. I can smell it. C’mere. Let D—let’s play.”
Jake suddenly yanked your top bedsheet away from you, uncovering your body and taking in your nudity eagerly. “Jake!” You protested but even to your own ears, it felt weak. He just smirked and grabbed your ankle, yanking you towards him. Oh, fuck. That had to be one of the hottest moves on the planet and the heat in your lower belly kicked back up. His nose wriggled and you hadn’t thought he could look even more smug. Before you could make sense of it all, Jake scooped you up, sat down on the end of your bed and then deposited your naked body across his bare thighs. You let out an ‘omph’ as you felt something else firm and hot digging into your hanging breasts and it took a second to realize; he’d taken his loincloth off. He was as naked as you were.
Looking down, you couldn’t see Jake’s cock but if you were judging off by what you felt, he was hung. And aroused.
You whimpered slightly.
“I gotcha, baby girl,” Jake assured you, one of his hands trailing his fingertips down your spine to the swell of your ass before dipping into the copious amounts of slick you had naturally produced. “Fuck, baby, bet I could get at least one finger in here no problem.” There was amusement and wonder in the ex-Marine’s voice. “But let me spank you, first. You like that, yeah?” You swallowed, nodding, bracing yourself on his thigh. “Use your words.”
You nodded again, saying, “Y–yeah, I… I like… getting s–spanked. Just… don’t pull my hair…?” Your voice trailed off.
“No hair pulling,” Jake repeated back. “Want me to brace your back instead, baby girl?”
You nodded, adding, “Yes, please,” before he could remind you.
“Good girl,” the Avatar grinned. “Color system work for you?” You verbally agreed. He prompted, “What’s your color, baby?”
“Green, definitely green,” you admitted, embarrassed at being displayed so but you couldn’t deny your arousal and you were both consenting adults.
Jake experimentally dropped his hand against your backside. It didn’t feel like much. “Like this, baby girl?”
You decided to be a brat and retorted, “A toddler could hit harder, Jake.” The next slap was much more appealing and you let out a quiet ‘oooph’. “Much better, Sully.” You peeked up at him to see him shooting you an eye roll. He spanked you again, earning another quiet moan. Then again and again and again. “Oh fuck,” you moaned, writhing over his knees as the sting in your ass and upper part of your thighs built enticingly with each strike. You nearly screamed when his next blow landed on your engorged cunt, nails biting into his thigh. He held you down harder and struck you there again, your squirming rubbing over the length of his hard cock. “Fuck, don’t stop, Jake. Don’t stop.”
A couple of more spanks to your ass, your upper thighs and your pussy and you felt the coil in your body preparing to spring. “Gonna cum?” Jake hissed through clenched teeth, delivering two more spanks. “Be a good girl and cum for me. Cum for daddy!”
The Avatar smacked your pussy directly eight more times, fingers spreading the sting between your cunt and your clit, before you did as you were told with a wail, slick flowing steadily all over his hand. He chuckled darkly, sinking his index finger into your fluttering walls and stroking a spot inside that prolonged the bliss and had you sobbing as you writhed over his knees, cumming harder than you can ever recall cumming before in your life. He eased you through it and when you started to calm, slid you up and off his legs, readjusting you to lie against his chest.
“You good, baby?” Jake asked softly. “Not gonna fall asleep on me again, are you?”
You hummed. “Not yet,” you admitted. You propped your head up onto your hand, bending your arm at the elbow. “Thank you for taking care of me, daddy.” Jake rubbed a hand over his face in embarrassment. “Hey, hey, I was just teasing,” you said softly, sitting up. “I have a spanking kink. You have a daddy kink. It’s cool. I’ll call you daddy if you spank me like that some more.”

------
A covert hidden in the shadows now out in the light though still hidden on a planet. The waters before the cave lap at the shore as a boy stands in the waters other Mandalorians surround him as their leader steps forward a helmet resting in her hands.
“I swear on my name and the names of the ancestors…” She starts and the boy recites, “I swear on my name and the names of the ancestors…”
“That I shall walk the Way of the Mand’alor…”
“That I shall walk the Way of the Mand’alor…”
The clans look over the signets glimmer in the sunlight, banners of the smaller clans representing the covert.
“And the words of the Creed shall be forever forged in my heart.
“And the words of the Creed shall be forever forged in my heart.”
The Armorer looks down at the boy who stands in the water as he recites the creed, “This is the Way.” She says
“This is the Way.” The boy responds and the whole covert repeats those words. The Armorer raises the helmet placing it on the boy’s head as it covers his face.
“From this moment on, I shall never remove my helmet.” She says and the boy nods, “From this moment on, I shall never…”
The words are interrupted by a dinosaur turtle that storms the beach attacking the Mandalorian covert. The water sprays over them all as the adults rush to kill the creature with their weapons, others getting the children back to the caves.
“Go! Go! Go!”
“Young ones, to the cave!”
It swings its arms and head snapping at them causing the water to pull some other as they fight against the creature and protect their own.
“I got you! I got you!”
The creature eats a few Mandalorians their screams filling the air and the others attempt to plant explosives on the monster but are unable to pierce its thick hide. Grappling cables pierce it trying to subdue the creature. But it’s sheer vast and strength as it rolls flinging Mandalorians attached into the air and some pulled underwater. The Armorer rushes forward saving one of their own only to be thrown back by the creature. The boy rushes forward to try to save the Mandalorian on the ground but the creature charges toward him. Paz Vizsla reaches the child pushing him aside, “Get down!” Firing at the creature as it charges toward him.
Two torpedoes strike the creature at its side distracting it as it turns towards the ship heading off to attack the Mandalorians look spotting a starship heading back towards the creature. Another attack comes from an X-Wing firing straight at its face right as the N-1 fires its final torpedoes killing the creature a large explosion of water and guts comes flying down from the air as the creature screeches before collapsing. The Mandalorians watch as the starfighter and the X-wing land beside the creature, as they draw closer to see who their saviors are. The canopies of both open revealing from the N-1 starfighter the exiled Mandalorian with his child and from the X-wing a mix of both Mandalorian and Jedi.
You both exit your respective ships as Din with Grogu leads towards where the Armorer had walked off to. You’ve never seen this many Mandalorian since Nevarro when they first rescued you and Grogu but it seemed like they have only grown more. Din creates a path as they look at the three of you as they pass by. You could feel their gazes follow you as they take in your appearance. Probably for the fact you wear no helmet and the weapons that rest on your hip that have them whispering.
“Bic cuyir a jetiise..Witch…te adiik cuyir nayc Mando…” (It’s a jedi. The child is no Mandalorian) You ignore most of their whispers and insults are mainly thrown at you. Until you catch the gaze of Paz Vizsla his hands holding the large blaster and you feel the heated glare coming from the man. Turning your gaze forward at Din’s back as you enter the cave. You see the forge created just like the one on Nevarro and Glavis Ringworld. She stands with her back towards you both before she speaks up her voice echoing throughout the large room.
“You have removed your helmet. What’s worse, you did so of your own free will. You are no longer Mandalorian.”
Din steps forward placing Grogu down on the ground then looks at the Armorer, “The Creed teaches us of redemption.”
“Redemption is no longer possible since the destruction of our homeworld.” The Armorer retorts.
“But what if the mines of Mandalore still exist?” Din says as he seats himself a the table on the floor with her join. You and the child sit on the sides as Din looks at the female Mandalorian who shakes her head, “All was destroyed in the Purge.”
Din pulls out a piece of green glass inscribed in it Mando’a and places it on the table, “Is this inscription, not Mandalorian?” The Armorer grabs the crystal looking over the fragmented writing,
“Where did you come upon this?” She asks, “Jawas. They came upon it by trade from a traveler who claimed to have visited the surface of Mandalore.” Din explains. During your travels following the Pykes, you had encountered Jawas that had this crystal that spurred Din to look for the covert hidden somewhere in the Outer Rim.
“Then this relic only proves that Mandalore’s entire surface has been crystalized by fusion rays.” The Armorer says returning the crystal back to Din.
“But a traveler was able to retrieve this, so perhaps, it is not poisoned. If I visit the planet and I can bring you proof that I have bathed in the Living Waters beneath the mines of Mandalore, then by Creed, the decree of exile will be lifted and I would be redeemed.” He explains his plan and the Armorer is silent before nodding and accepting his quest,
“This is the Way.”
Din stands and you follow as you pull the child into your arms. He looks at the Armorer giving her a sharp nod, “Then I will see you again.”
Leaving the cave to see some Mandalorians cleaning up others waiting to see what is to happen with their visitors seeing you three exit. Din heads towards the ship taking the child as you trail behind still feeling the gazes of the few Mandalorian. A hand shoots out grabbing your arm and stopping you in your tracks. Your skin crawls from the contact as your hand reaches for your saber. The hand is tight around your bicep and you could tell a bruise was going to form.
“Gar kelir ratiin cuyir eyn aruetii..” (You will always be an outsider) Paz Vizsla leans to growl the insult for only you to hear, his grip on your arm harsh. You are silent as you keep your gaze forward your hand grasps the saber on your belt but doesn’t pull it off your belt, “Partaylir tion'ad gar cuyir olar” (Remember who you are here) He releases your arm with a shove and you stay still your hand shaking just to turn around and beat the crap out of him for touching you. You look down releasing your grasp on the saber seeing your hold on the Darksaber not your own. Steeling your face and moving past the Mandalorians watching the interaction climbing into your X-Wing and starting it up.
R4 gives some concerned beeps as you sigh putting in the coordinates that Din sent you seeing Nevarro show up on your navigator, “All good R4…let’s just get off this planet.”
The N-1 and the X-wing enter the Nervarro airspace as a transmission comes through that you accept, “Welcome to Nevarro, independent trade anchor and Outer Rim Hyperlane port. Please state the purpose of your visit.” A woman’s voice comes through.
“Here to visit a friend.” You respond and you’re granted clearance and given a spot on the tarmac, climbing out as R4 exits its spot. Joined up with Din and Grogu you move towards the city it is even more lively and different from when you first visited since… A droid greets you both as you enter the city gates, “Greetings. Welcome to the port of Nevarro, gem of the Outer Rim. Our esteemed High Magistrate welcomes you and hopes that your stay will be a prosperous one,” You see trade going on, children running through the streets but not in fear but in play in a game of chase, “We invite you to visit our shops and markets, enjoy local delicacies, marvel at the black lava canyons, or soak in the geothermal springs.”
You look around at the streets of Nevarro City and the cleanliness and safety that is a part of it. Droids and different species of people roam the streets and none move away from you and the Mandalorian in fear greeting you as you pass by.
“A lot has changed around here.” You say seeing the people playing music as children dance and play in the large center, before you is a statue of IG-11 in his honor. Without the droid’s sacrifice, none of you would have made it off Nevarro alive.
“Do you remember your old friend?” Din says to Gorgu who looks at the droid in curiosity.
“Mando!” Turning seeing Greef looking great in crimson robes truly shows his status as Magistrate. Walking down steps followed by a protocol droid he greets the Mandalorian with a firm shake and he sees you with a large grin on his face. “I heard you were back, but I didn’t believe it. Ah and Y/n it is good to see you too. You’ve gotten much older since the last time.”
You bow your head slightly in greeting, “It’s good to see you Karga.”
“Magistrate Karga.” Din greets him and the protocol droid steps forward, “That’s High Magistrate Karga to you.” Greef waves the droid offer gesturing towards the large building you assume to be the town hall,
“Come. Let’s catch up on old times.” Entering his office everything looked so modern and just better compared to old Nevarro.
“It’s so good to see you both. Welcome back.” Greef says as you lean against his desk Din standing behind you, the child in Greef’s chair using the force to spin himself around.
“Doesn’t even look like the same place.” Din comments and Greef smiles proud of the hard work put in, “I know, we’ve done a lot with it. The citizens have been so instrumental in making this all work, and look at this. We are an official trade spur of the Hydian Way.”
“Congratulations.” You say and Din nods, “We’ve got a construction boom going on in the city. The belters are mining the asteroid fields at the edge of the system. There’s a lot of money to be made on Nevarro.”
“I can see.” Din says, “I can set you up with a prime tract right over by the hot springs. You, the kid, and the little one, you can settle down, you can hang up your blaster. Live off the fat of the land.” Greef creates the picture-perfect lifestyle.
“Grogu.” Din says and Greef looks at him confused, “Come again?”
“His name is Grogu.” The small infant stops spinning perking up when his name is called and you smile at him making him giggle slightly, “Oh. If you say so. Come, I wanna show you something,” Greef leads you both to the large balcony showing the city landscape pointing off in directions. He points over to a large area far off in the outskirts of the city, somewhere private away from all of this “Now, as I was saying, there’s a beautiful parcel available right down here by the flats.”
Din nods stepping away from the balcony and standing by the desk where Grogu still sits in the large chair, “I appreciate the offer, but I have some matters to look after.”
“Oh, I’m confused,” Greef frowns as the two of you re-enter the room, “I thought you had completed your mission, but you’re still running around here with them.”
“It’s complicated.” You explain leaning against the door frame to the balcony as Greef stands between you two,
“I completed my quest. He returned to me. I removed my helmet, and now I’m an apostate.” Din explains.
“Which is all the more reason for you to stay here with us,” Greef offers to step closer to the man, “Where you are from, you may be an apostate, but here, you’d be landed gentry.”
“Magistrate.” The protocol droid halts your conversation and you all turn to see it waiting by the doorway,
“High Magistrate.” “Yes, High Magistrate. Apologies.”
Greef sighs letting the droid enter, “Your timing couldn’t be any worse.”
“But it’s just that, there’s someone here to see you.” The droid explains and the man waves him off wanting to get back to your conversation, “It can wait.”
“But it’s pirates!” The droid yells and you all look back now more concerned, “Pirates in the courtyard.”
Following behind the two older men and before exiting out to the streets Din helps pull the mask of your cloak to hide your face. Reaching the streets you can hear shouting from what you assume to be the pirates, “Get out of my way or I’ll split your circuits.”
“Oh, my stars.” “Stand aside, droid, don’t you know who we are?” The pirate shouts at the droid blocking the school.
“Come on, Vane. That’ll be enough of that.” Greef calls out as the lead pirate steps forward you and Din trailing behind letting the High Magistrate deal with this.
“Greef Karga, my old friend. I knew you wouldn’t insult us. Come, join us for a drink.” The Nikto holds his hands out a wide grin across his face seeing an old friend.
“Let’s continue this conversation back at my office,” Greef says before pointing to the building, “This, this is a school.”
“Well, that explains why she wouldn’t let me inside.” Vane says as the other pirates laugh before pointing to the school, “I forgot, it was your cut of my boss’s treasure that built this saloon. Pirate King Gorian Shard’s name is familiar to all in this sector.”
“Come, join me for a drink back at my office. We’ll toast to your captain.” Greef repeats he’d rather have rowdy pirates drunk in his office than where children are nearby.
“We drink here,” Vane says and the other pirates make sounds of agreement.
“That is a school now,” Greef says tired of the back and froth.
“I say it’s still a bar. Now, bring us a drink.” His hand rests on his blaster and Din speaks up leaning against the tree beside him.
“Is there a problem here, Magistrate?” He says his arms crossed his chest as he watches the pirates that take in the Mandalorian and also the hooded figure next to him.
“Is there a problem here?” Greef says before looking back at Vane, “What do you think?”
“Not if you serve me a drink.” Vane repeats himself and Greef steps forward. “Not in my school.”
Vane chuckles looking back at his crew, “You hear that, boys? His school. You paid us for murder and mayhem inside these doors. Sounds like you went soft.” He taunts the man as Greef tilts his head his hand pushing back his cloak slightly revealing the blaster on his side, “You think so? Try me.”
Vane pulls out his blaster but before he can use it it’s shot out of his hand and Vane groans in pain from the blaster heat, “Tell Captain Gorian Shard that Nevarro is no longer friendly to pirates. Now get outta here.” Vane glares and the others pull out their blasters, but you and Din shoot them down quickly each backing the High Magistrate as Vane laughs nervously now completely alone and defenseless.
“Get out of here, Vane. Now.” Greef warns him and you watch the pirate quickly flee down the street as you move closer to the man, “Sure you wanna let him go?” You ask watching him disappear around the corner.
“He’ll let it be known that Nevarro is respectable now and not to be trifled with.” Greef says before looking at some service droids, “Have the service droids scrub up out there.”
“Yes, sir, right away.” The droid says as others quickly come in and start cleaning up the mess the four of you moving down the street. Greef sighs looking at Din, “I gotta level with you, Mando. I need a Marshal.”
“What about Marshal Dune?” You ask, since arriving you haven’t seen the woman at all in Nevarro.
“After she brought in Moff Gideon, she was recruited by Special Forces,” Greef says and Din quickly notices the sudden silence that came from you hearing that name. “And what came of Gideon?” Din asks watching you from the corner of your eye as you trail back.
“Ugh. He was sent off to a New Republic War Tribunal,” Greef says producing a scoff from Din, “So… What do you say? You ready to put on the stripes and collect a healthy stipend? You’d make a very fine lawman.” He offers and Din is reluctant of that kind of job.
“Why not request one from the New Republic?” He asks and Greef shakes his head,
“The last thing we intend is to bow down to yet another far-off bureaucracy. No. Under my watch, Nevarro will become the first truly independent trade anchor in this entire sector.” He explains he had worked hard to make this a respectable place not to have it fall under the rule of another damned empire or republic.
Din sighs shaking his head, “I can’t serve as your marshal. I have something pressing to attend to.”
“Apologies. I didn’t know you were here on business,” Greef chuckles before waving his hands around the town square to show off everything there is to offer, “What can we provide?”
“I need him back.” Din says as you look up at the statue of IG11 and Greef laughs, “IG11 was destroyed on the lava river. This is just a statue.”
“These are his parts, are they not?” Din asks and Greef nods, “I mean, what’s left of ’em. We were lucky to recover any of his parts after he self-destructed.”
“I need a droid I can trust to help me explore Mandalore, and he’s that droid.” Din points at the statue that is just remnants.
“Hey, what about R4?” You ask as the droid beside you beeps ready for duty and Din shakes his head. “Don’t trust that droid.” He says and you scoff crossing your arms as R4 gives sad beeps.
“Hey he didn’t mean it…he’s just a picky.” You whisper to the droid trying to cheer him up as it gives a depressing beep accepting your failed attempt to lift its spirits.
“Mando, we’ve got plenty of droids around here, we’ll find you one. I guarantee it.” Greef says and Din shakes his head and points at IG. “Let me give it a shot.”
Returning to Greef’s office in a workshop the remnants of the droid lie across a table as Din tries reviving the droid plugging it into some power while fixing some circuits and boards, “There. He’s hooked up to power. Let’s see if we can wake him up.” Din steps back looking at the droid before turning on the power button on the droid. A low hum fills the room as it powers up a beeping sound showing its turning on. “There you go.”
“Subparagraph sixteen-teen-teen of the Bondsman Guild protocol waiver…” IG’s voice is all distorted as it glitches and stutters, “Immediately produce said…The bounties are mine. Assets to be terminated.” The legless droid lunges at you and the child in your arms and you stumble back as it crawls toward you.
“Terminate assets. Terminate assets.” It repeats as Din shoots at it but it keeps charging at you and the child, “Greef!” You yell before tossing the child over to the man that catches him as IG grabs your leg and you’re pulled to the ground.
“Terminate asset.” It repeats as its hands try wrapping around your throat but you fight against the strong droid.
“Mando, shoot it! Shoot it!” Greef yells as you keep fighting the droid above you. “Don’t you kriffing shoot me!” You yell.
“Terminate.” Using your full body weight you fling the heavy droid off you it landing before a bust of Greef. Waving your hand as it falls off the pedestal and crushes the droid’s head. Din pulls you to your feet as you look at the destroyed droid,
“Now that’s using your head.” Din says and Greef still holding the child looks at the droid, “I think he defaulted to his old programming.”
“You think?” You say as Din’s plan of finding a droid adds a whole new step.
“That’s too big a job for you to do by yourself. Fortunately, Nevarro has attracted the best droid smiths of the Outer Rim,” Greef explains returning the child to Din with the help of a service droid to carry the parts of IG as the man leads you through the streets of Nevarro, “They’ll have IG back to his old self in no time.”
“Are you sure they’re up for it?” Din asks as you turn down a street, “I don’t think I can handle him with all his limbs if things go scud.”
“Why don’t you ask ’em for yourself?” Greef offers while knocking on a small window about your hip height, “Who?”
“The Anzellans.” Greefs points to the now small window and you see a small creature you assume the Anzellans as he looks at you four,
“What do you want?”
The three of you sat in a very small room, barely fighting all three of you, Greef opting to stay outside though hunched over listening. Grogu watches the creatures even smaller than him work on the droid as they speak louder in their language before cursing as the main one turns to Din.
“No. Can’t fix. No. No, no. The broken.” It says and you two look confused at it. “Uh… Okay.” Din says as it speaks Anzellan as he waves his hands pointing at the droid before back at the two of you see you didn’t understand.
“The broken. It broke.” He repeats and Din shakes his head, “I dont understand. Do you speak Huttese?”
“Mando, he said he can’t fix it,” Greef calls from the doorway translating from his distance spot and Din shakes his head pointing at IG, “That’s no good, I need this one. This one is my friend.”
“It not friend anymore. Memory circuit broken.” He says spitting on the droid in shame as Din sighs, “He says the memory circuit is shot.” Greef calls out and the two of you look at the man understanding what the Anzellan was saying but he continues to translate.
“No more.” The small droidsmith says, “Well, put in a new one.” Din says and he shakes his head,
“No, no, no, no. Not work. Don’t make new one. Very hard to find.” One of them says and the other shakes his head, “No.”
“He said they don’t make ’em anymore. They’re very hard to find.” Greef calls out and you both look at the man,
“We got it,” Din calls out.
“Buy new droid. This one poodoo.” The Anzellan says, “He says you should get a new one.” The two of you ignore Greef’s not needed translation.
“Can you fix it without the memory circuit?” Din asks and the droidsmith thinks before nodding, “Yes, but IG no think.”
“What if I find you the part?” Din offers and the creature nods, “Okay, now. Then no problem. We fix.”
“If you can get a new part, he says he can fix it.” Greef says and you turn to the man, “We understand him pretty well Greef,”
“No! No! No! No! No! No, down, down!” You whip your head seeing Grogu holding one of the Anzellan hugging it as the other tries freeing him,
“No, Grogu. He’s not a pet.” Din says reaching over and trying to free the droidsmith,
“No squeezie. Not squeeze. Not squeeze. Bad baby!” The trapped Anzellan yells before getting free and looking at the child, “Oh, he’s a bad baby.”
“Sorry about that. He’s young.” Din apologizes as droidsmith looks at the child, “Yeah, bad baby. Oh!” He screams but again as Grogu tries reaching over to grab him. You and Din struggle in the compact space to get Gorgu away from him.
“No, Grogu.” “Come kid!”
Returning to the port reaching your ships as R4 gets settled into the droid port as you head over to Din who stands beside Greef,
“We hope to see you soon.” Greef says as he shakes hands with Din and you nod goodbye, “Keep IG-11 safe until I get back with that part.” Din says.
“If the Anzellans can’t find it, I don’t know who can. Safe travels.” Greef says stepping back as you both board your ships starting them up and quickly exiting the atmosphere.
“Being a Mandalorian’s not just learning about how to fight, you also have to know how to navigate the galaxy, because you never know where you might be headed next,” You hear Din speaking to Grogu teaching him about the ship as you follow beside him listen at the softness of his voice, “This here is your hyperspace map. You determine your range by looking at your fuel gauge. And this…”
A beep fills both your and Din’s ships and you see your enemy proximity warning indicator going off, “…is your enemy proximity warning indicator.” He says as you see the starfighters appear. “Hang on, kid, we got pirates.”
“Avast, Mandalorian. You can’t just sneak away after cuttin’ down four of my brothers in cold blood,” You hear Vane’s voice through your comms, “We’re Pirate King Gorian Shard’s men, now you’ll answer to him.”
“Gorian Shard should stick to hijacking and ransoming,” Din says before quickly banking left while you go right the starships splitting up following after you both.
“After them!” Your fast maneuvers through the asteroid field as you have four starships after you firing at you. Quickly accelerating through two asteroids that are colliding barely making it through hearing one of the ships explode behind you.
“All good R4?” You yell spinning the ship around and firing at one of the ships hitting an engine before dodging the other two ships as they are on your tail. You dodge and weave space rock and blaster fire and you see Din heading towards you as you flip your ship flying right above him upside down you hear R4 squeal as Din takes down the two following you as you fire at his three only taking down two as the last one avoids the fire. Spinning the ship around as you chase after the last one Din following right behind you. The ship you assume with Vane in it speeds around a large asteroid the two of you quickly following behind revealing a large warship. You let Vane head towards the safety of the ship as you see their weapons appear aiming at you both.
“Dank farrik.” Din sighs and you curse seeing the target lock, “They have a kriffing target lock on us.”
“Stop where you are. You’re outgunned.” You hear what you assume is Gorian Shard through your comms, “I have no quarrel with you, Gorian Shard.” Din answers and you hear a laugh through the transmission,
“What a kind sentiment from a man who just destroyed eight of my fighters. Surrender your ships and I will spare your lives.” Shard says and you sigh looking at your fifth turbo engine locked and loaded.
“You trust me Din?” You ask as you lock in your coordinates with Din letting R4 take control of the ship. “Yeah, kid?” He asks confused as you crack your knuckles.
“Hey Grogu, never trust a pirate.” You say before thrusting your hand out and Din watches the warship spin as you used a large amount of the Force, “Hit it R4!” You yell, as they fire at the two of you but Din quickly flips the red button jolting forward beside you before you both jump to lightspeed leaving behind a furious pirate king.
Reaching the Mandalore system and exiting hyperspace as you follow Din toward a planet seeing on your navigation that it’s Kalevala.
“This is Kalevala,” Din says through your comms as you begin your descent into the atmosphere, “It’s another planet in the Mandalorian system.” You look over the lush fields and rocky mountains and right along the seaside, you see a castle.
“Is that?” You ask, “Yeah, that is a Mandalorian castle.” Din says as you depart to land on the platform the rain creates a rhythmic beat on the canopy as it opens climbing it and throwing your hood over your head to avoid getting completely wet as the four of you venture into the castle. Reaching the entrance of the imposing castle you remove your hood and are greeted by a blue footman droid who speaks to you, “Din Djarin, Mand’alor Y/n Kenobi-Kryze.” The droid bows its head slightly at your presence and you shoot Din a look at the title you were given. You hated the title given because of the weapon on your hip, was this how people were to address you? Following the droid down a long hall as the rain poured violently outside the castle, banners of a house crest..your house crest, and the Night Owl as well. At the end of the long hall was a throne and sat was Bo-Katan the droid stands by her side as she looks over at your four.
“Bo-Katan. It is Din Djarin and your grand-niece Y/n Kenobi-Kryze.” The droid announces your presence as she looks over at you two. She looked tired as her head rests in her hand.
“I am here to join you.” Din says and Bo-Katan shakes her head sadness in her eyes, “There’s nothing left to join.”
“What of your plans to retake Mandalore?” You ask and she looks down at her feet before reaching your gaze a forlorn expression on her face. “When I returned without the Darksaber, my forces melted away.” She says.
“Where is the stolen fleet?” Din asks and Bo-Katan waves her hand as if they were leaving, “Making their way through the galaxy as mercenaries.” She says before sitting up having lounged on the wide throne.
“Do you still have the saber?” She asks already knowing the answer to that question and you nod, “I do.”
“Then you lead them. Wave that thing around and they’ll do whatever you say.” She points at the weapon at your belt and you frown. You didn’t want this either you didn’t want to rule.
“So you’re giving up your designs to retake Mandalore?” You ask, it had been her goal to rebuild the home she had lost. She had already lost so much in her life, her home planet, her sister, her nephew, and she had almost lost you. If keeping Mandalore inhabited was the only way to keep the last remnants of her family safe then so be it.
“Your cult gave up on Mandalore long before the Purge. Where were you then? The Children of the Watch and all the factions that came before fractured and shattered our people. Go home. There’s nothing left.” Bo-Katan says her venom-laced words aimed at Din.
“I am going to Mandalore so that I may bathe in the Living Waters and be forgiven for my transgressions.” Din states and the princess laughs shaking her head thinking him to be crazy.
“You are a fool. There’s nothing magic about the mines of Mandalore. They supplied beskar ore to our ancestors and the rest is superstition. That planet has been ravaged, plundered, and poisoned.” She explains.
“You said that the curse was a lie. Make up your mind.” Din retorts and Bo-Katan leans forward staring at the Mandalorian, “If you want to go to the mines, be my guest. They’re beneath the civic center in the city of Sundari.” She leans back on her throne. She had really given up on her promise of restoring Mandalore,
“Bo-Katan…” You whisper but Din speaks up. “Thank you. And I will find out if the planet is really poisoned.” He says before he takes your hand and starts leading you out of the great hall you glance back at your grand-aunt as she rests on the throne watching. Your plan of traveling to Mandalore would only be a journey for you three to discover. To determine whether that planet really was cursed or was legend keeping the chance of rebirth at bay.
“Goodbye, Din Djarin.”

Hi I have two questions - What would you have done differently if you’d written AWOW? And if Custody was set in Pandora what would that look like? 🥰
I really loved AWOW and any changes I'd make would be dependant on whether I knew what was coming up in Avatar 3 and beyond.
A couple of things that come to mind are:
1. I don't think it's super clear why Ardmore still has the recoms chasing after Jake after Jake gives up the fight and runs away. If they think he's still leader of the Omatikaya and is just recruiting the Metkayina/drumming up support from other clans I would have made that a little more obvious.
2. It seems like Neytiri giving Spider the scar is meant to parallel Jake giving up leadership earlier in the movie, but I'm not clear on what that parallel is.. presumably its the son for a son thought from Jake later since Spider has never been a leader? I would have either changed the earlier scene or made this more obvious.
3. I think they did a good job with so many characters in the climatic sequences, but there was a lil bit 'one gets captured then freed then another captured and freed, people are split into twos and threes then split into different twos and threes', esp with the kids... I mean I loved it, I'm glad it was a long sequence, but I reckon it needed tightened up, with the Metkayina being a little more visible.
4. This is less for plot reasons and more for selfish reasons but I would have liked one more (short even) Q and Spider scene. Especially during the Seadragon period because they'd got super comfortable with eachother, Spider is now 'betrayed' and upset as Q is decimating these villages and it would have been good for him to have had a bit more animosity towards the Seadragon crew and esp after he sees that they hunt the Tulkun for just the Amrita.
5. I would have had Lo'ak and the other kids name check Spider during the Metkayina sequences - when Jake references him to Kiri when she's upset, it feels like a very barren single reference, like they only just remembered him.
6. I would have only had the one recom die when Neytiri and Jake (and Neteyam) ambush Q to save the kids. I understand that it helped establish Neteyam and it would be weird for Jake to not get a successful kill, but I'd have preferred if after Neytiri's first shot there's just a lot of diving for cover etc like the recoms are actually pretty worth opponents? Would help with the shock impact later of Neytiri's rampage.
7. I probably would have given Payakan a voice... like a telepathy type thing... maybe not using a lot of words and maybe only for Lo'ak but I wanted to get a 'human' vibe from him.
8. I would have de-Americanised Spider and Lo'ak a bit and I would have had Q do the haircut and get clothes on Spider.. It would be good for showing time passing and esp if Spider is slowly reverting back to his original form without Q stopping him, while Q himself is getting more Na'vi.
The Custody question is tricky, because I deliberately went modern AU to avoid Pandora! You could have a scenario where Q appears to have killed Paz but I imagine he'd be court marshalled and sent back to earth or else he'd be 'forgiven' to continue work as normal. Q and the RDA are the main authorities on the human side, so it's less likely we'd see the combo of him stitched him up by someone internally and also remain in his post.
So I guesss... I'd have him captured by the Na'vi? Spider doesn't visit him because of the whole war criminal thing. Jake and co are keeping him alive for intel. Q is still demanding to see Spider that way. He could be recom!Q or regular!Q - and then his team probably rescue him and grab Spider same time?? Or maybe they rescue him and try to find Spider but grab a Sully kid instead and that plays out like the Leo thing but with the comms. I'm not sure the Paz thing would be much of a murder mystery though, so aside from Q attempting to bond with a reluctant Spider, it would prob diverge a lot from the original plot! <3

Din vs Bo as a Leader
I've seen people say that Bo is the rightful ruler of Mandalore and owner of the darksaber and deserves to lead and I'm genuinely curious to hear from others as to why that is because I'm having a very hard time seeing that point of view. Semi-spoilerish for people who aren't up to date but I kept it vague enough to not be a problem I don't think.
Since CW and Rebels, Bo has continually made choices that negatively impact the people around her. She's a morally gray character who has a list of war crimes on her rep sheet that honestly makes some real life bad guys look green and it baffles me that people want her redemption to be easy. I'm not saying she should never be redeemed, I genuinely believe people should have the chance to turn over a new leaf cause being human is hard, but how she's acting and being treated in Mando feels like a middle finger to those her actions caused harm to. Like she can be sad about her sister all she wants but she willingly joined a terrorist group who spelt it out for her that they planned on publicly executing Satine and followed the orders of two Sith lords, and she didn't see that as a deal breaker. Being sad over that is like being upset that you got shot in the foot when you fired the gun yourself when you continue to make choices that negatively impact others. And this season alone Bo hasn't tried to be a leader to her people, she cared more about the title and the weapon it comes with than actual democracy. She wields it well, yes, but so did Sabine who taught her how and gave her the weapon despite not knowing how badly Bo has fucked up with it in the past. The moment the darksaber was in Din's hands and she lost her crew, she didn't try to scout Mandalore and find other Mandalorians to help her with her decades long failed plan. She didn't try to put any plans together with outside help to achieve her goal or even try to establish a new territory for her people to be safe on until they can find a way to make Mandalore a livable again. She was never an active leader, just someone who craved leadership and believed was owed it because of her birth right and that reflects in the selfish choices she's made while in a leadership position, which include harming Din and Paz. She didn't lead her people into the siege and trap that awaited them, Din did. He shouldered and strong armed his way through and was willingly going to sacrifice himself if it meant a safe planet for his people and foundling. And she wasn't the last out, Paz was, and for that his clan suffered major losses. She had focused more on weapons and supplies for her fleet and siege than the actual people who would help her achieve her goal, and not once has she discussed what she planned on doing once Mandalore was safe for all Mandalorians again. Reuniting and rebuilding isn't the same as establishing a political system that benefits the well being of her people with the promise of a stable economy, fair societal roles, establishing an intergalactic democracy to avoid what Nevarro went through, and combining the differing traditions/beliefs the remaining Mandalorians have to not favor one over the other and unintentionally cause a civil war. Each time she's gained leadership it's always met with mixed support, often not universally, and has led to her downfall three times now for a reason.
Just the same, I've seen people argue that Din doesn't want to lead/rule and isn't the kind of man who'd be a good leader and I strongly disagree. Since the first episode, Din established himself as a selfless character even if it irritated him to be accommodating. He still tried to compromise with the Jawas, didn't turn his back to Frog Lady needing a ride, was willingly going to sacrifice himself to a Krayt Dragon for people he had just met and entrusted with Grogu, went head first into every battle even for people who didn't deserve it (Ran's Crew), was everyone's Ride or Die at least once, became multilingual which was used more to keep the peace than to gain information on his quarries, and has united and mediated more unlikely foes to friends than anyone else in the SW universe. Even if his actions originated with a selfish need (gaining Boba's armor back for Mandalorians, exchanging his services for info on where Mandalorians/Jedi are for Grogu, etc) he still went above and beyond because it's the honorable and right thing to do and his compassion has earned him friendships across the galaxy and allyship on every planet he's visited whereas Bo can't get even her own people behind her without a legendary sword in her hand. You can't tell me all the people Din met on his journey WOULDN'T lay down their lives for him if he asked?? Paz already did despite Din's choice to rescue Grogu despite unintentionally causing a massacre because Paz recognized the selflessness behind Din's choice that carried over to Paz's own foundling and that is what gained his respect and allyship. Din hadn't asked for anything in return, and his own motive for moving the covert was so that their children could play in the sun and the future generations can flourish. I'm fairly certain even Sorgon would join forces whether it's to take care of Din if he had a bad head cold or taking back a whole planet for him. Same with Peli and her droids, Tusken Raider survivors, Freetown, Boba and his syndicates, Frog Lady and her hoard of warrior toddlers, Karga and the grateful people of Nevarro, Ahsoka, and Miggs Mayfield. We've made jokes about Din accidentally making friends all over the galaxy for a reason. He's so selfless that he never saw himself worthy of his Creed, of being Grogu's father, of being a leader when everyone else has told him otherwise. Din's view on leadership reflects his own self esteem wrecked by his cult and it would take everyone he's ever helped to make him see that he is the leader that the galaxy needs to reunite not just The Mandalorians, but all the people and their planets I mentioned. Leadership comes with a burden for Bo, but for Din, it comes with the strength and camaraderie Bo has only ever dreamed of having and that The Armorer overlooked because of her narrow, traditional views. And this is a side comment, but Din mastered riding the stubborn Blurgg after Kuill made fun of him for not being able to conquer it when Mandalorians rode Mythosaurs into battle. Din riding a Mythosaur would be a great call back to that and would gain more respect as a leader than just having the darksaber. In my opinion.
I genuinely hope Bo comes to these conclusions herself and recognizes that Din is more deserving of the role than anyone else and passes the darksaber back to him and helps him see his potential than just saving the day yet again from the very gun she shot everyone with. Redemption for her starts with letting go of the very thing that's plagued her her whole life and leadership is recognizing when you need more time before you can be the example people need to be the best versions of themselves. This isn't a Bo hate post or any stan post, this is a fan post who wants a fair redemption arc for Bo and a chance for Din to rise up to the best version of himself he's capable of being. So yes, I want to hear everyone's thoughts whether you agree or disagree that doesn't involve Bo being the rightful heir or wanting her redemption cause you like her as a character. I want to hear deeper reasons than surface level motives, cause as I said, your favorite hurting over the consequences of her decades long actions she never learns from isn't a good enough reason for her to lead or have the darksaber but I'm down for any other explanations people have regardless if you're a casual fan of the show or lifelong SW fans like myself.

Sacrifice
Rated T Contains angst, a miniscule amount of fluff, no use of y/n, language Word Count: 1.2k Summary: A scouting mission doesn't go according to plan
Tumblr media
“I don’t think this is a good idea,” Paz said to the Armorer. “A Jedi? Staying here with us? You know what her kind did.”
“I understand your feelings toward this decision,” the leader replied, “But it is important for us to make peace with a foe from many years ago. With her knowledge, she can educate us as well.”
“I don't see how that benefits us.”
“It will help the foundlings,” she explained, “who are our future.” Paz sighed and nodded his head. “She can provide newer training methods, and history. It is important to have an open mind.”
“Perhaps.” He agreed.
“Now.” The Armorer said, satisfied with his response, “instead of brooding, how about you get to know her? Other Mandalorians have, but still keep their space. If they see you speaking with her, they would be more accepting of her presence.”
Paz nodded his head. “This is the Way.”
“This is the Way.”
Tumblr media
“I wish I can do that,” one of the foundlings sigh. You slowly lower your hands, gently setting the three of them on the ground. You smile as they congregate to you, ready to ask more questions about Jedi, the Force, and your travels.
“That's enough,” a stern voice calls out. The three young ones turn around and see Paz gazing at your group.
“Yes sir.” The three leave, not questioning him.
You stand up and see Paz walk to you. Nodding your head in acknowledgment, you say, “Yes?” He didn't reply. Instead he analyzes you, wondering why the hell are you here with the Mandalorians. Smirking, you walk to him. “Yes, Mandalorian?” You sense a mix of feelings and emotions from the man. Curiosity, irritation, annoyance, and a dash of frustration.
“I am not here for pleasantries, Jedi.” Paz states.
You lift an eyebrow. “Then what are you here for?”
Sighing, he admits: “To get to know you. The good and bad.” Smiling, you motion for him to come closer.
“I hope you do the same for me.” You reply.
“This is the Way.”
Tumblr media
Months have passed. Then years. The foundlings were not only trained in the way of the Mandalore, but also possessed knowledge and fighting skills of the Jedi. You became part of the clan's main scouting troop, and helped in many missions. Your relationship with the other Mandalorians improved and you gained their respect.
“Jedi, I need you to go on a special mission for me.” The Armorer says after the group celebrated a new commencement of a foundling. You sensed a couple lingering thoughts from other Mandalorians; whenever you and the Armorer spoke, it was either serious or sensitive. She motions for you to follow her, and you do.
“What is it?”
“I need you to run a solo stakeout of a group of outsiders.” She says slowly. “I noticed them arrive a couple days ago when scouting.” You nod your head and wait for her to finish. “I have spoken with Paz, him being the leader of your scouting party..." her voice trails before she continues, “he is not satisfied with the plan, especially when I told him it was just you.”
“I...I'm sorry if my presence complicates anything.” you say. It is clear to you, Paz, and the Armorer that there is a special bond between you two. Ragnar, his son, frequently jokes about it.
“I know he'll follow you.” The Armorer states, ignoring your apology. “You know that too...I'll give you more information tomorrow morning. After that, you will begin the mission.”
“This is the Way.” You whisper.
“May the Force be with you.”
After you were debriefed, you entered your T-6 and flew above the strangers’ camp, wanting to see what you were going against. From above there is a band of stormtroopers and a large tent, showing that there was an important presence.
“You see a bird flying in the sky.” You say out loud after waving your hand. You hear a majority of the stormtroopers think about your ship a bird and smile in satisfaction. After flying, you manage to find a place to land, far enough from the campground but close enough to scout safely.
As it became afternoon, yours and the Armorer’s prediction came true.
“Mandalorian,” you call out in a calm tone, “you can come out from hiding.”
Paz obeys your command and walks out of the shadows from your ship. “You knew,” he says. “I figured you expected me but I’m still surprised.”
Paz didn’t need your permission to walk and sit next to you. From your sack, you gather some food and pass it to him. You turn around as he lifted his helmet to eat it. When you hear him put it back in place, you turn back. Paz gently put both of his hands on both sides of your head and leans in close. Both of your foreheads touch and you close your eyes, knowing he was doing the same.
“I know you’ll be up before me, so please, before we sleep,” he whispers, still holding you, “be careful. If you need anything…think of me.”
“I will. I promise.” You whisper back. You gently put his hands down and kiss what would be his forehead. You both fall asleep next to each other, holding hands.
Tumblr media
The following day, you venture out from your hiding spot to scout the Empire’s campsite behind boulders. You quietly jump between the rocks in a quick, steady pace and manage to be close enough to see the stormtroopers walk around. They are equipped with their guns, ready for action.
Seeing some near bugs, you close your eyes and connect with them asking them to walk to the troops and large tent to gain information. From the numerous voices bouncing in your mind, you put the plan together that there was a tip from someone who located the Mandalorians’ refuge.
“Damn,” you whisper.
Mandalorian, I am going to give you some important information. You reach out to Paz, The Empire is here and looking for the clan.
The bugs came back to you, giving information that was crucial for everyone know. The Mandalorians’ lives depend on it. Using the Force you free them from their duty and leave the site, ready to travel back. One day is enough. As you walk the same route back, you felt other presences around you. You take your lightsaber out of its sheath and ready yourself for a fight. Stormtroopers came from above and surround you.
“Ah, I see a lone Jedi in our presence.” A familiar voice comments. It is Moff Gideon. “I didn't expect to find one.”
“I can understand why,” you hiss, “unfortunately, it seems that Order 66 wasn't as successful as it rumored.”
Gideon growls and motions for some troopers to grab your arms. They obey him but you have a couple surprises up your sleeve.
"You ready to see what a Jedi Knight can do?" You threaten.

“I need the scouting party to follow me,” Paz tells the Armorer. When he received her message, he flew as fast as he could to warn the others about the stormtroopers, not thinking that he caused a scene when he was in the air. The Jedi protected him from the camp yesterday, and unfortunately he didn't have that luxury. “The Jedi has given me intel and it requires help from us.”
“Then go. Her not returning with you is a sign that the worst has come, or is about to unfold.” The Armorer replies coolly. “This is the Way.”
“This is the Way.”
When coming to the Moff Gideon's camp, Paz and the rest of the Mandalorians search around, looking for any surviving stormtroopers and you. Everyone gasps when they land, the damage done to the camp was tremendous. Troopers scattered, some laying in huge heaps while others dismantled. Rocks haphazardly surround the area and guns are in a burning pile.
There was talk amongst the Mandalorians as they wander the camp. Paz only has one person in mind: you. Running around the camp calling out, “Jedi, where are you?” repeatedly makes him nervous. He barely felt your presence in his mind, and did his best to locate the spot you are thinking about.
“Hi,” you heave, clutching your side. The wound wasn't deep, but deadly enough to cause serious damage. Paz runs and kneels down in front of you. He looks around and notices your lightsaber a couple feet away.
“What happened?” He whispers, gently sitting you up.
“Moff Gideon.” You rasp out, putting more pressure on your wound. Paz notices you trying to reach out for your lightsaber using the Force. It was shaking, but not coming to you. He quickly snatches it and gives it to you. “Don't worry, I'm going to cauterize it.”
“Bastard!” He hisses as you wince, watching you burn the bleeding wound with your lightsaber. “Are...are you going to be okay?”
You shake your head. “I was hit with some lasers, but managed to deflect most of them and change their trajectory to stormtroopers...” you answer, trembling. Cauterizing your gaping wound hurt like hell, but it was the best thing you can do at that point. Paz's heart skips a beat when he saw blood on your robes.
“He knows where you are...please go.” You say.
“I am not fucking leaving you.” He counters. “No, you are coming with us. I am not leaving you.”
You manage out a quiet chuckle. You felt streaks of blood run down your forehead, which he tenderly wiped off. “Healing isn't my forte...I always had trouble with that at the academy.”
“Stop talking like that.”
“Go.” You encourage, “You know I won't be able to help...I...I don't feel so good.” By this time, your wound is burnt shut, but the damage to your head and body is too hard to heal. “Just...I really hurt right now, and would like you to--”
“Stop it!” Paz growls. “You...you are my...”
“Cyare,” you whisper faintly. Paz starts shaking, holding your small hands in his. “Go.”
“My name is Paz Vizsla,” he blurts out. "I love you."
“I love you too, Paz Vizsla,” you reply. You tell him your name, and in turn he leans his helmet on your forehead. He lifts it part way and softly kisses your fingers, making you smile. Then, he stands up and raises his pistol over you. You nod your head and close your eyes.
With shaky fingers, he closes his eyes and presses the trigger. Your body went limp. Paz opens his eyes and weeps as he knelt back down and held your lifeless body close to his. “May the Force be with you.”

Welcome to an "IF PAZ LIVED AU" Side story.
Drunk Late Night Talks between Paz And Jake
Jake was laying with Neytiri. He couldn't sleep not with all of the things running through his mind.
"Ma'Jake" Neytiri said softly, raising up from her mates chest "Are you all right."
"Yeah,I'm alright Baby" Jake said In a distant voice
"Are you sure, Ma'Jake" Neytiri mummered
"Yeah. you go ahead and go back to sleep,Baby." Kissing her forehead.
Neytiri did go back to sleep and when she did,Jake carefully slipped out of their Kelku, without waking her up and slipping off to the lab with the hope Paz was awake. The woman had a son to care for after all,She couldn't just stay up and get drunk every night. Soon... Very soon,he couldn't either. Neytiri was getting closer of every second of every day to bringing their first child into the beautiful world of Pandora but.... What was he going to do. His and Tommy's father just drunk off the pain of memories, and took his rage out on Jake and Tommy. What if he ended up like that... Getting a little to mad one day and hit his kid.. or Neytiri... What would he do then. He would never forgive himself for laying a hand on his beautiful Neytiri or their soon to be here child. Luck was on his side,Paz was awake and sitting on the rails of the porch connected to the lab. She looked at Jake walking over to her and sighed. Paz took her mask off and drained the bottle of whiskey she had in her hand, then put her mask back on and said
"Hey Sully, what's got your tail in such a knot, you want to come and get drunk with me? specially when you got your own little bundle of joy on the way"
"Need to drink some worries off" Jake says
Paz laughed but handed him a bottle of Vodka. Jake took it and drank a long gulp. "Christ all mighty,I needed that"
"Bet you did "Toruk Makto" Paz said mockingly
"Just shut up"
"You only come and drink with me when you need to talk. Spill it"
Jake sighs "It's bout Tiri and the baby coming.'
"What about em. Ain't nothin you gotta worry about. Your clan leader and Toruk Makto, kid ain't gonna have trouble like Miles is" Paz Said
"Not really them... I'm worried I'll...."
"Worried you'll turn out like your old man Miles was scared of that to,you know. Getting a little to mad one day and hitting me or baby Miles. He wasn't scared of much but hurting us is something he would've never forgiven himself for."
Jake sighed "I understand that. My old man always got pissed and knocked me and Tommy around. I don't want to get a little bit to mad one day and.. turn into him. I love Neytiri so much and the baby,I'm happy but ..."
"Scared. Worried one little accident and slip. Worried About getting mad and laying a hand on your wife or baby." Paz says. "Right after the baby was born and I was awake enough.. Miles nearly cried telling me. Anger issues running through males in a family. Told me how it terrified of getting to upset one day and hitting us. he told me "
Jake says "I hate how much I relate to him over this. But I get the gist"
"Do you?" Paz asked
"Tell Neytiri." Jake said
"Loosely translated:Grow a pair and be a man,and own up to your fears and tell your Wife. " Paz said "Cause either you do it or I kick your ass and do it for you"
Jake laughs "Alright, got it. I'll tell her tomorrow night. so you don't have to kick my blue ass"
"Good" Paz smiles
Jake looks at her "Did Quaritch really believe that?"
"Yeah,he did. But his fears always never occurred to him once he was holding me or Baby Miles. When I told him what I named the baby.. I'd never seen him look so proud before. not even when he got me as his woman" Paz sighs sadly ".... I miss him"
Jake watches her... "I know Paz. I'm-... I'm sorry Paz. If I'd known about you and the little spider you have in there... I would have tried to talk instead of fight."
"It's alright. I miss him but.. I get why she did it. Your wife. She loves you like I do Miles. So she killed for you, like I would have Miles." Paz said "Doesn't mean I don't hate her for it"
Jake sighs ,Paz chuckles "I'ma go in. I've gotta get some sleep."
Jake stands up and stretches with a groan"Me too. I've got walk ahead of me anyway" before taking off back to his and Neytiri's Kelku. When he got there,he made a mental note to tell Neytiri everything that night, including why he spent so many nights getting drunk with Paz. He would and Neytiri would understand... Hopefully. She was his mate,Paz was right,he didn't need to hide anything from her anymore. mates share their burdens with each other.

I’m tellin yall
Bo Katan is going to betray Din for the throne
If the betrayal of Elia Kane wasn’t enough foreshadowing for you, Bo staring at the Mythosaur piece at the end of S3E4 is.
What really caught my attention to this theory (besides her looking at the mythosaur wall fixture) was the juxtaposition of the zoom in on her face at the end of Episode 3 with the final zoom on Elia Kane. Bo is being really nice to Din lately, enough so that people are spreading romance rumors (of which I am not touching on bc that’s shipping related). They are building the Mandalorian unspoken reliance that is tradition and clearly on display in Episode 4. This trust building is similar to what Dr. Pershing and Elia had.
Much like Dr. Pershing and Elia, Din and Bo are pursuing calls to action they feel in their mind is the right thing to do. Din (like Pershing) is taking on the Mand’alor title for the “greater good” of his people despite his reservations. Bo believes (or at least has believed in recent past) that the darksaber belongs to her and her family. She has yet to redeem and prove herself in front of her people. Is it selfish? Yeah. But as long as her people are prosperous, no harm no foul. I don’t think she’s against the possibility of stepping on Din’s toes if her gaining the darksaber brings balance to the Mandalorians.
The only comparison to Elia I’m not 100% with for Bo is severely injuring or attempting to kill Din. I don’t think she’s that malicious (definitely not fascist evil). In fact, I’m not even sure if Bo Katan really knows that she’s gonna try to battle the darksaber from Din just yet. I don’t think this is some master plan that she’s been stewing on. If so, then we haven’t gotten a lot of evidence to support that. It’s only been after seeing the mythosaur with her own eyes and understanding the Legend surrounding it does she start getting the illusions of grandeur of becoming Mand’alor once more.
But what about Paz? Excellent point.
We kinda already saw that? I mean obviously Paz and the rest of the Vizsla clan have some serious hang-ups. But Paz already tried and failed to duel the darksaber into his hands. Paz isn’t an idiot. He knows when to quit, when he’s ahead, and when to trust others (however begrudgingly). Bo does not. She must put the weight of Mandalore on her shoulders and she will forgive and try again until she dies. She may enlist help, but she is always the leader. And that’s why she’s gonna try to win the darksaber from Din
Bonus point: In one of the dozens of Mandalorian Season 3 interviews I watched, Pedro Pascal said that he “trusts Bo with [his] life.” And personally, since he keep the reveal of Grogu and return of Luke a secret from EVERYONE, I don’t trust the lil shit (affectionate). I think he said that because it was the opposite and he thinks it’s funny.
