Op 22 januari 2024 wordt Project BOLD (Bewegen, Ontmoeten, Leren, Doen) gelanceerd, een innovatief programma dat jongeren aanmoedigt om betrokken te raken bij hun gemeenschap. Dit doen zij door het organiseren van projecten die anderen helpen én waarmee zij tegelijkertijd hun eigen vaardigheden ontwikkelen. Elk persoonlijk BOLD-traject, dat ongeveer zes weken duurt, biedt jongeren de mogelijkheid om hun leiderschapspotentieel te ontdekken terwijl ze waardevolle bijdragen leveren aan de samenleving. Inhoudelijk is het programma altijd maatwerk, aansluitend bij de hobby’s, interesses, talenten en ambities van jongeren. Denk aan het verzorgen van maaltijden voor de buurt, een podcastserie maken, evenement voor vluchtelingen organiseren en nog veel meer. Project BOLD, wat staat voor ‘Bewegen, Ontmoeten, Leren, Doen’, is ontworpen door stichting Drop-Inn om jongeren een platform te bieden waar ze hun creativiteit en initiatief kunnen ontplooien. Het project wordt uitgevoerd door CityShapers, in samenwerking met Drop-Inn. Alle deelnemende jongeren ontvangen na afronding van hun projecten een ocieel certificaat. Dit certificaat erkent niet alleen hun inzet voor de gemeenschap, maar ook hun verworven vaardigheden en leiderschapscapaciteiten tijdens het programma. Dit certificaat is verbonden aan de Erasmus universiteit en daardoor een mooie aanvulling op het CV. Jurrin Reckers, coördinator bij CityShapers: “We geloven sterk in de kracht van jongeren om positieve veranderingen teweeg te brengen in de wereld om hen heen. Project BOLD is een manier om hen te inspireren en te ondersteunen bij het ontdekken van hun potentieel. Vaak staan jongeren zelf versteld als ze horen van anderen wat hun impact is.”

Twisted Rope named a “City Shaper” in Buffalo

We are honored to be featured along with the Tri-Main Center in Buffalo as part of the local TV station WGRZ-TV’s City Shaper’s segment, an ongoing series where some of the most innovative and creative up-and-coming companies in western New York have been showcased.

Our company moved to the Tri-Main Center in 2014 and have called it home since. In a few weeks, we will be expanding our office space and cannot wait to reveal the updated office once it’s finished to our colleagues at other companies in the Tri-Main Center, friends in Buffalo and to our employees around the world. We are continuing to grow and grow and aim to use our Buffalo office as our headquarters and central innovation hub for years to come.

Below is a video featuring Greg Norton, Twisted Rope’s president, as he shares what our company’s been up to and what our plans are for the future. We’re excited to call the Tri-Main Center our home and excited for the many new faces that will be joining us.
