This illustration is based in a friend photography that has been taken in New York (thanks Gonza for authorize me to take this photo for the illustration!) and I have changed some things to get the look like it was from a Sailor Moon episode.

The next illustration in my Phoebe galaxy series, Venus! I had a tough time with this one, because originally I was going to use a 'spicy' (not like that lol) theme, since Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system. Each illustration is paired with a food product that I designed, and the spicy theme I started with just wasn't hitting. SO, since Venus also has a carbon filled/acidic atmosphere, I went with soda and carbonation instead! Soda...pop...city pop...you can see the thought process. City pop is a HUGE source of inspiration for me, so it was fun giving her a 1980's look! I'll be posting the illustration process for this on Patreon soon. 👀
