He grumbles to himself. Don't come 'round here no more. That's the thought that crosses his mind. He gets up with a grunt, slowly trudging towards the door. Looking through the peephole, Leon sees her. He sighs, pulling open the door.

"I'm very tired... And I'm not feeling right."

He speaks up without allowing her a chance to speak. They both know that's a lie. What he actually wanted to say was something along the lines of All I wish is to be alone. But he'd never say that to her. He wouldn't dare make her leave after she took the time to come to his home.

"You're coming in?"

He mentally slaps himself for the stupid question. Slaps him again once he receives a glare in response.

"Why not? You want to run and hide?"

She scoffs, brushing past Leon to walk into his apartment.

"I just prefer to keep to myself."

He mumbles.

A/N: I seriously wanted this to be good because I felt like the lyrics of this song seem like something Leon might actually say, so someone, preferably someone who's better at writing than I am, please tackle this idea because ya gworl FAILED. And also I still have no idea what the correct term for my writing is so until I figure it out I'll be calling them fics. This could be any Leon post-RE4 imo, but Damnation was what u had in mind while writing. 15. what do you think of when you hear the word “home”?

this is an interesting one for me. bc i was born in china. raised in california. and moved to nyc. so like there are so many dif places i can call "home" and it wouldn't technically be wrong. but i think the feeling of home will always (and has always) been nyc for me. i rmbr the first time i stepped off the plane when i got here to visit colleges when i was a tiny lil highschool sophomore, i was like oh. this. is this where i'm meant to be. and that was kinda it?

i always like to say that new york was my first true love. and it was kind of love at first sight? something just clicked. the air felt right, the way ppl walked and talked. the rhythm of the city felt like a heartbeat, and it felt like mine.

when i had to leave nyc for pandemic, it truly felt like i was going through a breakup. like not to be dramatic, but i like mourned. i went through a few stages of grief before i sat back and realized that new york city will always be here, ever the patient lover. she might change in her storefronts, but the soul of her will always be here. and so when i came back post pandemic, for the first time in like a year and a half, it really did feel like coming home, even though i didn't have an apartment or anything. my soul still was like yeah. this. this is still where i'm meant to be.

she grew up with 4 other siblings who all went into incredibly stereotypical overachiever fields (doctor, lawyer, engineer, wall street freak)l, so she's lived with the burden of being an overachiever in the arts.

she used to play for the zuzu city philharmonic as associate concertmaster. she was going to try to get a step up, and boy was she on track for all that. but one day, she kinda cracked under the pressure and when a rehearsal went wrong, she lost it. she threw a tantrum and in this day and age, that was posted all over the place. she got dumped from her sponsorships for her bad behavior, and the philharmonic asked her to take a leave. indefinitely.

so that's what she's here in pelican town, living with her aunt to recuperate from the hell that she made of her own life.

she's a snooty booty, and she has a tendency to look down on things that don't reach her standard in her mind.

danica's willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants, and it doesn't matter who she steps on to get that.

she can be charming if she wants, but she's really cranky right now.

going to make pan for my honor mode run...! originally he was going to be a rogue but i made him a draconic sorc bc apparently that build is op lol. anyway pan -- full name xaphan -- is the third in the yves/wren friend group and he's a tiefling who keeps his past to himself, like very secretive type to the point that they don't even know where he's from and yves is chill about it but wren gets curious from time to time. he first met yves when he was trying to find shelter in the graveyard and she was working as the mortarch, and she got him a job there as a cleaner (yves voice: if you want to sleep there you might as well clean up the place you know?) eventually he meets wren through yves - first bc wren is always picking yves up from her graveyard shift and he's like the only noisy person in the whole graveyard, then yves introduced them to each other. pan is very closed off ... like he's the strong and silent type, and i like the idea that he hides his magic to keep a low profile. maybe he's on the run because of his past hence why he's so secretive but hm not sure about that yet. originally he wasn't going to stay in the city long, but bc he got attached to wren and yves he decided to stay.

anyway, pan is the one who looks after yves after her 2 month disappearance bc wren decides to leave out of guilt...!! , and he's the one who nearly figures out that this yves is not the same yves as before, and all clues leads back to a particular place down the sewer, but he's also durge yves' first ritual kill/victim for bhaal bc she can't have him figuring it out yet. that's too quick and easy.

anyway doomed trio my beloved 🫶🫶 im thinking of making yves' his dream guardian bc her face was the last thing he saw which is diabolical, but he's alive in this run so maybe wren?? since pan does trust him... and i kinda like the idea that MAYBE they could've had something there but pan assumes it's wren and yves who had a thing since they knew each other longer. in reality it's no one bc wren is a mess and yves is just a chill gworl they should've been a polycule
