the hills that surround him have indeed been painted by an early dusk , a brush in hand that rules the skies above them in hues of pink , yellow , and a sort of lavender that only brings good fortune.

jamie making his way back to castle leoch. a palace that has afforded him the surrendering of last name. the wind kicks up , as he enters the forrest that perimeters such a landmark. the tree-line paints the grounds in shadows , dark shadows that are borne from a fading sun , and a sky that does well to observe stars.

a sound is heard , jamie knows these lands well - his footing avoiding such a sound , and as he makes his way the faint sound of barking can be heard. he loosens his grip upon sheathed sword , assuming that it is indeed his uncle's bloodhounds. for , it is not unusual to use such canine creatures in hunting. ' cannot you control them ? ' his voice carries throughout the forrest , ' if you cannot control those beasts then i would let them run wild - have their feet upon dampened grass ' the words accented by humor as he continues to walk through such terrain.

he comes to a meadow , the outer layers thick with brush that grow within fallen logs. ' dougal christ , i won't be chasing after them ! ' the sound of barks louder as he clears meadow and goes to cross thick brush , ' what do you ... ' his voice faltering as he runs into someone who he cannot rightly place , ' you're not dougal ' AH yes , his observation is keen , ' are these your dogs ? ' / sc / @cipress

lydia's smile is a bright thing, pressed against pink glossy lips. calculations happen behind dazed eyes, but they remain quietly hidden at the back of her throat. they never wander off past her lips. pretty girls don't think too hard. pretty girls smile & smile & smile until cheeks hurt. they giggle at appropriate times & never show their teeth. it is all difficult planning, to be a pretty girl.

sometimes, lydia wonders if others find it as difficult as she does, but then she reminds herself that there is no one like her! pretty girls are only pretty girls as long as they find ways to crush the competition with five-inches heels. "gilbert", she sing-songs, approaching the poor orphan / former pretty-girl / newly crowned pity party chick. her smile is sharp and tantalizing ; both a curse and a blessing. "come, we have to catch up!" it is not an offer, considering their arms are now linked up & lydia is taking @cipress to… well, wherever it is that they will be seen chatting. pretty girls love giving a good show. "i've seen you with the salvatore boy. i want the deets." seriousness, now, or something akin. "all of them."
