Super Cream 64 v5 Release Trailer & Patch Notes:
youtube
N64: https://romhacking.com/hack/super-cream-64 PC: https://github.com/Gamebunn/Cream64_PC Will also be available on sm64pcbuilder2 for easier compiling at some point. Will update when it's available.
Patch notes:
New Levels
Added two new levels, The Mountain of Sir Percival and Melancholy Mines, replacing Tower of the Wing Cap and Cavern of the Metal Cap in that order.
Changed up the collect star/death warps in Melancholy Mines to boot you back to the Castle Lobby rather than outside Hazy Maze Cave, unless you fall into the waterfall which just dumps you outside like before.
Updated the collision in Mission Street to make certain things easier to interact with.
Replaced textures in Big's patio to indicate boxes are not breakable.
Gigaboot's Pokemon Adoption Center has now expanded! Several other NPCs have arrived in the city, some additional art in places and two new stores have sprung up as well. Take a look when you can!
(PC Only) Added optional interior area to Pocky's Emerald Theater. Someone seems to be in there.
Charmy and Espio can be seen hanging around the two new levels! What are they up to?
Old Levels/Gameplay
(PC Only) Current outfit when grabbing a new star will be saved to the save file. Kind of a coin flip if it saves or not when grabbing a transparent star. Cause of this, old save files are not compatible with the latest version.
Adjusted the speed on the Tails race in Tiny Huge Island to be more fair.
Added secondary starting warps to Dire Dire Docks for Stars 3, 4 and 6 to make getting to the second area much easier. Note you must select the Star in the Act select.
(PC Only) Opening the pyramid top activates an unused cutscene. Didn't program it myself, just apart of the repo. In here to let people know that it'll happen.
There's these things in certain levels. They don't look dangerous but they sure are freaky lookin'.
Princess Secret Slide has the same layout and collision but is now given a visual makeover.
You can now fly off from pole vaulting.
Cream Outfits
Moved switching outfits to the DPad. For the PC version, you may have to rebind it in Pause > [R] Options > Controls.
Added several new Cream outfits, totally up to 64.
Removed: Cinnia Cream and Bean Cream
Newest added since v4.3: Cheese the Chao, TF2 Engineer, Demon Slayer Nezuko, MM8 Roll, Megaman X, Castlevania: RoB Maria Renard, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Sena, a Mexican Forklorico Dress for CaptainQuack64, Kate the Wolf for MainMemory_ and Dot_Lvl and Voxandra for Dot_Lvl. You can view the whole set of them here.
Reshuffled the Cream outfits in the N64 version. It's now: Normal, Riders, Winter, Spring, Unicorn, Halloween, Yukata, Swimsuit, Young Vanilla, Amy Rose, Mario, Klonoa and Creamocchia.
The "We did it!" soundclip when grabbing a star is now replaced when wearing certain outfits. Those being: Klonoa, Sena, Kitten, Layla and Katalina.
The Collect Star theme will now change with certain costumes. Those being: Tails, Mario, Klonoa, Ichiban, Travis, Jack, Austin, Dudley, Engineer, Goku, Pan, Roll, Megaman X, Lan, Vergil, Maria, Sora, Dawn, Serena, DQ3 Mage, Wonder-Bun, Sena and every outfit past that.
To follow up on that, the Austin outfit has a unique jingle that'll play when actually grabbing a star or key.
The Mario, Klonoa and Creamocchia outfits in the N64 version also have these themes with the Klonoa outfit keeping the Wahoo!
Music and Sounds
Castle Interior now has a new track: Apotos - Day from Sonic Unleashed.
The following stages and actions also have new tracks since v4: Bob-Omb Battlefield, Whomp's Fortress, Big Boo's Haunt (main and merry-go-round), White Park Carnival, Tiny-Huge Island, Eggman 3 Phase 1 and riding the shell.
Landing the final hit on Eggman 3 will play a proper finale track.
Credits track has also been replaced with its regular version. Midi version still on N64 due to space.
Added new soundbytes for the following NPCs: Layla, Kitten and Katalina
Since v4: The results screen will now play a random clip from 5 different voice samples. All from SF3 Third Strike.
The End track has been replaced with a new one.
And the Rest!
(PC Only) Rings have been replaced with 3D models. Big thanks to Alonwoof for implementing them!
Giant Mario head has now been replaced with a proper Cream head, as seen in the video. Big thank you to BWGLite for implementing it!
Added an extra animation for Amy's third encounter in BBH to indicate new dialog.
Updated some models and animations for certain NPCs.
Game Credits sign at start of game has been updated to reflect the additional changes added as well as a new "Cream and Vanilla design" credits section.
Dialog has been updated for certain NPCs and actions.
Karaoke Bar has some brand new karaoke champs!
Credits have also been updated to reflect new changes.
There are now two ending pictures instead of just the one.
Man I sure hope I got everything.

The Lord of Fools and the Stubborn Commoner ch.20

In the land of Masks, Satan stares disappointedly at the book he’d bought three months ago. The blonde is dissatisfied with how the book just cut off right after finding out what had happened to the nobleman’s first wife. The rest of the pages were blank so he’d just set the thing aside in his office and that’s where the book had sat for all that time.
Taking the novel in his hands, he flips open the cover and finds the words ‘finish the tale to your own specifications’ scrawled over the inside of it. How had he missed that before? The blonde is surprised actually. He’d heard of these types of novels- books written in a way to make one’s reading experience truly unique. They were also said to be enchanted, however he was never sure of what the enchantment caused.
Perhaps it brought the tale to life? Satan had never owned one before and he’d be lying if he said he’d never wanted one. He takes the book down to one of his servants and orders them to take it to one of the best authors in the land with only one order: Make the tale as dramatic as possible. As the servant walks away, Satan has no idea of what he’s about to unleash into his older brother’s life.
************************
Four months later, Arella was sat up in the library. Mammon was in his office and Cyrus was attending his daily lessons so she had some free time to herself and had decided to spend it reading to her unborn twins. It wouldn’t be much longer now; they could come any day, really.
The doctor in charge of her care seemed to be certain that it would be both a boy and a girl but Arella knows there’s really no science behind it so she didn’t put much stock in the guess. As far as names went Arella and Mammon had each chose a gender to choose a name from.
Mammon had taken up the task of thinking up a girl’s name leaving Arella to think up names for a boy. They’d thought up two names for a boy and a girl just in case they got two girls or two boys. For a daughter, Mammon had come up with the names Azalea, Cinnia, or Astraea and for a son, Arella had come up with the names Aurelius, Owein, or Xenres. They were all good names but Arellas favorites were the first of each. As she thought about it, she let out a content sigh. Her hand came down to rub over her belly, feeling one of the babies kicking.
Lost in her thoughts, Arella was unaware as guard came up behind her, a sword brandished in his hand. In a split second, Arella felt the guard’s hand cover her mouth, the blade held to her neck. Not knowing what else to do, she let out a muffled scream, hoping that someone-preferably her husband- would be near enough to hear the struggle.
“Please don’t struggle, Lady Arella.” Acidalia steps out from the shadow. “You wouldn’t want to cause harm to your unborn children, would you?” Arella can only stare dumbfounded at her lady-in-waiting. Why wasn’t she doing anything to stop this? Was she...? “If you would please follow me, quietly, to the awaiting carriage.”
The guard prompts Arella to rise, pressing the edge of the blade closer to her throat if she resists.
“Make sure you don’t kill her,” Acidalia regards them coldly, “Lady Essi wants those babies alive.”
And with that the three of them make their exit.
************************
Hours later, Mammon’s trying to decide what he wants to do. Starting about a month after Essi first reappeared out of nowhere, he’d been receiving letters from her. It started as one every couple of days but one quickly multiplied to ten, then to twenty and now it felt like he was getting them dropped off to him every couple of hours throughout the day.
And then it escalated to her having been seen on grounds and once she was even found in the throne room while Mammon, Arella, and Cyrus were out on the town for the spring harvest festival. She had been removed by Mammon’s head of staff and escorted off the premises before they could return but it still unnerved Mammon to know that Essi could be around any corner.
He just wanted to be done with her- for her to get it through her head that he was not going to take her back and that she just needed to leave him and his family alone.
“I could have her arrested and deported back to her parents in the Land of Lechery,” he says softly to himself, “Have Asmo order her under house arrest- they'd do that for me, right?” He runs a hand through his hair as he paces the floor.
“Daddy,” Cyrus calls from the doorway, “Where’s Mommy?”
“She should be in the library, why kiddo?”
“I tried looking for her there but she’s not. She’s not in the babies’ room either or in your bedroom napping.”
“She’s not there?” The white-haired man looks concerned.
“Yeah, I looked all over! I even checked outside too in case she was out there but I can’t find her anywhere.”
“Did you ask Acidalia, I’ve been here in my office all day so I don’t know either.”
“I can’t find her either.”
That’s odd. Usually Acidalia was very attentive to Arella when Mammon couldn’t be with her himself.
“Alright we’ll go look for her together then. She can’t have gone that far” Mammon offers his hand to Cyrus as they set off on their search to look for Arella.

On Wordcounts For Traditional Debuts (and other things.)
I know that thread from yesterday got a little wild and long, so I wanted to clarify some things here, because I am not always the best at wording during discussions.
Firstly: If the manuscript you want to query is long, you don’t have to go into a panic!
There are lots of agents who are okay with manuscripts in the 110k-130k range, and still many who will take higher counts, (even, in one case, up to 300k words).
Having a bit of extra (or fewer) words also won’t make an agent who is reading and loving your book reject it! As long as the story itself is good and it’s near the range they like, and they’re intrigued enough to start reading it, that little bit on the end won’t change anything.
The point of this discussion on word count is twofold:
1. Always evaluate why your story is the length it is and make sure it should in fact be that length. (This holds true for all books, regardless of word count!) If you have bulk there that isn’t needed, then cut it. If you have skimpy patches, add to them. Make your book be the length it must to properly tell the story you want to tell.
2. Know that if your book falls outside the most commonly desired range for your genre, some agents and editors won’t want it. That’s okay. It’s okay to choose to query something that only certain people will be interested in. But in order to feel confident in your book and push through those rejections, it’s good to know it upfront and decide that your book is worth that extra effort of hunting down the specific people who might love it.
Sometimes the result of #1 is that you realize your long book is, in fact, needlessly long or too short. Sometimes the result of #2 is that you realize you want to query your more typical length debut project first. Sometimes the result of both is that you’re happy with what you have and are going to push onward.
There’s also another component here that we absolutely can’t ignore:
Word count isn’t all that makes a book marketable.
There are many attributes which tie into marketability. A book that hits the market perfectly, is well-written, has a unique hook but good comps, and comes with a fantastic query can easily have an extremely high (or low) word count because in all other ways it’s perfectly sellable. A book with few of those features will be hard to get an agent for even at the world’s most traditional debut word count.
As I’m so fond of repeating: Querying is like a card game. The more you stray from what agents are looking for, the more you’re stacking the cards against yourself. You might still win. But it gets harder and harder will every less-than-marketable aspect you include. Querying is already ridiculously hard, and sometimes it’s nice to make sure that we have a good deck starting out. Other times, those cards you choose to stack against yourself are worth it to you.
That’s all I have to say, but I did want to share the fantastic graph Cinnia made based on the results of @angelicbadass’s twitter call for data on debut word counts.
Tumblr media
While this is a very small study with no categories to account for exact SFF genre, based on it, we get an average word count of about 101k for debuts, with a mean of about 96k. There is variation, but most sit between 80k and 115k.
What does that mean for you? Each person has to decide that for themselves, in regards to each book they attempt to query. There’s no single right answer, only what’s right for you and your book at the this point in time.
I wish you all the very best of luck with all your manuscripts, long, short, and everything in between. If you believed in your book when you set out to query, then keep striving. And keep writing. The only thing that will prevent you from getting an agent is is if you choose not to querying your next book.

A2 :  Am leaning heavily on it being something somber
Q3 :  Why did you start writing this character?
A3 : .Not entirely sure when it started, but I’ve enjoyed underdog/ antihero characters for a long while now.  It likely has something to do with no matter how tragic a life they lived, they get up and change things for the better. I suppose I find it more inspiring than your typical stories about heroes
Q4 :   What first attracted you to this character?
A4 : See above, guess I wanted to try my hand at portraying something I admire.
Q5 :  Describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse.
A5 : I suppose how he’s hard to approach? I dunno, feels like not many wanna chat up a dark and broody Dark knight lately.
Q6 :  What do you have in common with your muse?
A6 :  We like big swords.
Q7 :   How does your muse feel about you?
A7 :   He’d probably say something along the lines of “There’s fire in his eyes, but he has no direction to send it.” /shrug.
Q8 :  What characters does your muse have interesting interactions with ?
A8 :  Recently? I’d say that short talk he had with Noise and Gan. It was one of the few times where anyone was interested in learning about Dark knights. Other than that there’s the people Synn is currently in a FC with. Though one that sticks out would have to be Adeya because as they both have often said: they make an unusual pair. The Scholar and the Knight.
Q9 :  What gives you inspiration to write your muse ?
A9 : music, hype fight scenes in games and anime, the journal entries for all the dark knight quests
Q10 : How long did this take you to complete ?
A10 : Admittedly I took breaks, but I started at 6 pm and its now 11pm

1 Phoenix 1325
1 Phoenix 1325
Feorylle,
You'll be pleased to hear that your letters are reaching me— the quartermaster was kind enough to bring them to the supply drop. I've also been writing to you as I have time, and I'm sending my letters back with the boat. I do apologize, there is no proper reply anywhere in the envelope I’ve sent you. The boat can only stop long enough to hand things off, so I don’t have enough time to read your letters and reply before Magnus leaves. I'll write more as soon as I can, I promise.
Trahearne
84 Zephyr 1325
We’ve made it to the first camp safely. You won’t receive this letter until this news is irrelevant, but I wanted to to tell you. Especially since getting here was so difficult. Are there more risen here than I remember? Or have I simply forgotten what it’s like to travel through Orr? I couldn’t tell you which it is. I hope it’s the latter.
I owe you an apology for brushing you off in my last letter. I’ve been duly reminded that I see Orr differently than most people. As soon as my companions and I crossed the strait, they put on masks, so as to not breathe the miasma. They swear it’s so that they do not contract any of Zhaitan’s many plagues, but I’ve seen sylvari explorers do the same, complaining of the smell of the land. I do not agree. The dragon’s corruption is sour and sharp, and even I don’t care for it, but there’s a salty, earthy smell underneath everything that I find pleasing, even… homey. You should still talk to Cinnia if you get the chance—she’s got valuable experience and an interesting perspective of her own. It should tide you over until I manage to gather my thoughts.
I don’t know why I feel so much more at ease in a country where everything can kill me than I do anywhere else. I try to think about what it is that welcomes me so, but everything I can think of feels insufficient. It’s more than just the landscape or the history here, or even the lack of small talk. I’ll have plenty of time to ruminate on this question during my watches, but I wish I could answer it. It bothers me almost as much as the masks my companions wear—I do not begrudge them their comfort in a land that offers little, but I’m still bothered. Similarly, I can set aside my discomfort and carry on without answers, but I’m still bothered.
A last question: will you see things the way I do, or like everyone else does? Probably neither. I look forward to finding out.
86 Zephyr 1325
It occurs to me that I should explain my purpose in Orr.
Of course, my end goal is to discover a method to cleanse Orr and complete my Wyld Hunt. That’s what I hope to find every time I come here. But this expedition, I’m specifically looking at relics or rituals related to the human gods. I did mention that this expedition is sponsored by the Krytan Ministry? They’re also very interested in the human gods, although more from a cultural and historical standpoint. I’m sure there’s more at play in the politics of this, but I’m not concerned. Travel in Orr is so unpredictable it’s likely none of us will find what we’re looking for. We plan visit several of the temples to the human gods in the Straits of Devastation and Malchor’s Leap. Hopefully there’s something useable left. I’d love to continue into the Cursed Shore, but I wouldn’t risk companions on such a journey, especially since there’s nothing in Orr they can forage for food, and thus they’re very reliant on our supply drops. In all honestly, there’s barely anything I can forage for food, but that’s less of a concern unless it’s the rainy season. I do fine as long as there’s enough sun.
We’re also trying to find a way south from the straits to an unmapped area to do some mapping work in addition to searching for relics. One of my companions, Okobii Fans, is an archeologist that has done a fair bit of research into Orr, and is certain there’s six reliquaries there, one for each of the human gods at that time. If we can make it down there, I’m confident that we’ll find something satisfying.
First, though, we’re going to try and make it to the temple of Balthazar tomorrow. It’s less than a day’s journey from tonight’s camp, even having to sneak around all the risen.
87 Zephyr 1325
Today was a complete waste. We couldn’t get within three kilometers of Balthazar’s temple, because it was so overrun with risen and thick with traps. Olio, our scout and hired muscle, accidentally tripped over a wire and into a spike pit and almost got himself impaled. Thank the Pale Tree for his reflexes, he was barely scratched. But there’s no way we’re going to get anywhere near the temple. Now we have to rewrite our entire route to avoid it.
Why would Zhaitan bother? It’s a human temple, it didn’t have any relevance in death rituals I don’t think, and it’s not even in a terribly defensible location. Miss Fans is perplexed as well. She can’t think of anything the dragon would want there, and without being able to search the temple, she can’t confirm those suspicions. Obnoxious.
When we doubled back, we at least found a mansion in the ruins of the nearby town and were able to search it for artifacts. We didn’t find anything related to the gods, or anything with a scrap of magic on it, but Miss Fans found a partial census record in a watertight box, and that helped rescue the mood. I found a fork. I’m going to take it back to minister Merula—you remember, the one who wanted me to find and carry back a whole silver set? I doubt this fork even belonged to her ancestor, but if she gives me any grief about it, I’m going to shove it up her nose. None of those coddled silken idiots understand what it’s like here.
The fork is an amusing consolation, but I was hoping to not be disappointed so early.
89 Zephyr 1325
Being unable to reach Balthazar’s temple has left us with some time before the first supply drop. We’re spending it probing the mountains on the southern edge of the Straits of Devastation, hoping to find a pass or a cave system we can use to get through to the reliquaries. Morale is low: we’re not finding much of use and we keep running afoul of risen patrols. If we kill too many we’ll attract attention to ourselves and have to pull out early, but we keep being left with no choice as we keep being surprised in areas I remembered to be safe. It’s not my imagination or my poor memory: there are far more risen than when I last came here. It raises some concerning questions: where is Zhaitan getting the bodies? And what does he plan to do with them? I don’t like to think of the answers.
I hope you’re faring better than we are.

Stages of Making Empanadas for the First Time*
Stage 1: “Oh wow, look at this quick recipe for empanada dough. It looks so easy!”
Stage 2: “Crap, I don’t have a food processor or a or a pastry cutter or a rolling pin. Well, I can just make do, right?”
Stage 3: “Get into little tiny pieces, you fucking stick of butter. No, stop sticking to the fork. STOP. Argh!”
Stage 4: “Why is it so dry? I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to look like sand.”
Stage 5: “Okay, after adding copious amounts of water, the dough is made and now I need to let it chill for a bit I guess?”
Stage 6: “Fuck. I let it chill for too long and now it’s hard as a rock. Now it’s gotta thaw!”
Stage 7: “It’s thawed and now I just realized that I’m gonna have to break it up into little pieces since my impromptu roller a la wine bottle can’t handle all of the dough.”
Stage 8: “Oh, cute little circles! I’m getting so close to finishing even though my hands feel like crap from all of the mixing and rolling.”
Stage 9: “‘Add shredded chicken and cheese.’ Fuck. Was I supposed to make that?”
Stage 10: “Why won’t these damn empanada edges seal? Stop spilling open. Staaahp.”
Stage 11: “Look at all these cute hand pies I finally have. And it’s only 1:30 AM!”
Stage 12: “Well, time to freeze them and go to bed so that I don’t have to reflect too closely on my poor life choices!”
*Inspired by a real-life experience in which Cinnia traded 5 hours of her life to make 25 empanadas because she didn’t think things through very well and forgot to follow the rule of “mise en place” before attempting anything.

As a medievalist, I have a complicated relationship with this because, on one hand, nothing makes me roll my eyes harder than when the Spirited Young Protagonist in a medieval novel acts like the notion of an arranged marriage is totally shocking.
That being said....we have strong evidence to support that, yes, it DID happen and yes, people DID think it was inhumane at the time.
There’s an entire mini-genre of medieval Irish texts (Tóruigheacht Dhiarmada agus Gráinne and Longes mac nUislenn) that is just “girl is betrothed to much older man, forces younger man to elope with her.” The entire POINT of these texts being that the system is so inhumane to women that the only way for them to have agency is to take away that agency from someone else. And, while the women often do get the blame, it’s important to note that the older men who try to pursue them to the point of killing their younger rival are consistently portrayed as jealous creeps.
In other texts, like, say, Tochmarc Emire, the heroine is engaged to another man by her father while the hero is away banging other women, with varying levels of consent involved undergoing his heroic training, and she directly tells her would-be betrothed that, no, she doesn’t want to marry him, she’s in love with someone else. He breaks the betrothal. (Partially because, tbh...the guy she’s in love with at this point already has the reputation for doing fun things like using his defeated enemies’ heads as a football.)
It should be noted that it’s quite common, when describing a happy union, to specifically highlight it by showing the flow of conversation between the two of them -- this is the case in Tochmarc Emire between Cú Chulainn and Emer, in Tochmarc Ailbhe (which makes a very spirited defense for age gaps between couples) between Fionn and Ailbhe, and in bardic poems such as M'anam do sgar riomsa a-raoir. There was an idea that there should be compatibility in a marriage.
In the Mabinogi, dealing with Welsh literature, you have Rhiannon, who explicitly tells the hero Pwyll that she is being given to a man against her will, asking him to marry her instead. Again, like in the Irish, there’s an emphasis on conversation (ymdiddan) between the couple, which you see pop up again and again in descriptions of happy couples in the Mabinogi. Branwen, who is given into an arranged marriage to the Irish king Matholwch, meanwhile, is unhappy, abused by her husband and isolated until she is able to get a secret message to Wales begging for her family to intervene.
And in Saint’s Lives for female saints, it’s VERY common to have the future saint’s families try to force them into marriage - Brigid of Kildare plucks out her own eyeball (which is miraculously restored) to prove her point. St. Agnes is another example of this type of female saint, as are Saints Agatha, Lucy, Grimonia, Íte, Maxentia, Osmanna, Cinnia, Begnet, and Sunniva. Now, we can discuss how many of these saints were people who were alive at the time, just like we can discuss how many of these stories seem to be interested mainly in assuring that the women weren’t “tainted” by the loss of their virginity, BUT the point is that, again, these are medieval sources showing medieval women not wanting arranged marriages and being venerated for it.
Does this mean that it always happened? No, as cases like Gormlaith ingen Flann Sinna (potentially, the sources contradict one another on what went down in her second marriage) show. Does this mean that parental consent wasn’t necessary? Also no -- in both Wales and Medieval Ireland, the best sort of marriage you could have, legally, was one that your family had agreed to. But the point is that, as a general societal ideal, there was very much a notion of “couples should have some basic liking for one another, if you force your kid into a union against her will, you ARE the medieval asshole.
Did some women undoubtedly want a higher position and get it? Yes. It was entirely possible, in the middle ages, to get a massive upgrade in status if you were attractive enough or skilled enough. (Though it was much more common to get that as a mistress or concubine.) Do I get tired of anachronistic attitudes towards arranged marriages in fiction? Also yes. (They might not have liked it, but their reaction was most likely not going to be that of a 21st century teenage girl being told that she was going to be sold to One Direction.) But, that being said, I’m not for saying that no women EVER were opposed to it, because the evidence flatly contradicts that. Women have, shockingly, always had a range of viewpoints when it comes to how they wanted to live their lives.
Don’t like that trope where women are forced into arranged marriages against their will for their family’s political advantage, it just reinforces the frankly sexist idea of women as overemotional and obsessed with romance to the point of stupidity, and neglects the reality of all the women throughout history who would gladly marry for power, riches and political advantage as long as the spouse in question wasn’t entirely awful, because ambition is not an inherently gendered trait, you gotta have a roof over your head, and that earl title suits your brother

Things about my Dovahkiins
A recent convo with @mrninjapineapple reminded me of this unfinished thing.
I started this questionnaire around March 28th, 2015 and it’s been sitting in my sta.sh unfinished for so long that I forgot who tagged me to do this.
Looking back, it’s quite a silly list of questions, and I originally wanted to scrap the whole thing, but I liked some of my answers, so here it is. You can compare the personalities of my different Dragonborns by their answers.
[I’m planning to make a more serious questionnaire for the characters involved in our collection of stories (The Age of Restoration). I’ll also plan to post some screenshots of them in a later post.]
Onto the questionnaire with 40 silly questions!
1. What is your name? Z: Zinnia(h Fire-Hearth) Y: Yrgrod Ragvirsson C: Casts-First-Asks-Second N: Nicholaus (the Goldsmith) S: Shurag gra-Burz
2. Do you know why you were named that? Z: No. [After a horse called Cinnia, because I thought it sounded unique.] Y: I was named after an old hero and I inherited my fathers family name too. [It was formed from parts of my name, "rág" & "Vir"] C: Yes, I named myself. [And it sounded cool!] N: No, I was too little to ask it by the time and later I was already used to it. [Because he was created on 6th of December, the day of Saint Nicholas (Mikulás in our country)] S: I don't really care about it, it's just a name... [it was formed from a part of my name, "s Virág" sounding "shwirag", with different spelling] 3. Are you single or taken? Z: Taken. Y: Taken. C: Single? I'm unique! N: Was taken. S: Single. 4. Have any abilities or powers? Z: I'm the Dragonborn and a werewolf and I have an ability called Ancestor's wrath Y: I'm the Dragonborn and a werewolf. C: I'm a Volkihar vampire N: Not that I know of, other than still being alive. S: I can go berserk answering such questions. 5. Stop being a Mary-Sue! Z: I do have a bunch of titles, but this one, I never heard of... Y: Isn't that a female name? C: Why should I? N: Silly... S: You mean Shu, right? 6. What's your eye color? Z: Pitch black. Y: Somewhere between blue and green. C: White with a red pupil. Originally my pupil was light blue. N: Green as an emerald. S: It's red. The other one's blind. 7. How about hair color? Z: It's almost black. Y: Some kind of blonde. C: Hair? Phew, filthy thing! I have beautiful horns! N: It was brownish, now it's grey. S: Brown. 8. Have you any family members? Z: A husband and adopted daughters. My parents are dead. Y: I have a wife and adopted kids. My sister and her son died during his birth. C: No, and I'm happy about it. N: I had. S: I adopted a daughter, but I haven't found true love yet. 9. Oh? How about pets? Z: I love horses and I have four: Arvak, Blaze, Frost and Shadowmere. My daughter's pet fox, Vix sometimes lets me cuddle her. Y: I'm a dog man. C: I don't know the Dead Thrall perk yet. Pity. N: I like animals, but I don't want to attach anyone again. S: I have a good horse. I don't need useless critters around me. 10. That's cool, I guess. Now tell me about something you don't like. Z: The Blades. Y: Unnecessary friction. C: Werewolves, Vigilants of Stendarr and the Silver Hand. N: Boots. S: Dragons. 11. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? Z: Reading. I have a library of around three hundred books. Y: I like to sing (though some say that I shouldn't) and listen to the bards. C: I tend to drink guard's blood in Riften. Broad daylight. N: I like to craft jewellery. S: Exploring the vast wilderness of Skyrim. 12. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? Z: Pretty much. Bandits, creatures, some people. But I only regret some of them. Y: Yes, and he deserved it. He was the reason why my sister died. C: Most possible ways, yes. N: I did, but I wish I shouldn't have. I'm not afraid to protect myself, though. S: I gladly smash in anyone's faces, who deserves it. 13. Ever... killed anyone before? Z: I did. Most time I followed orders, but sometimes for my own good. Y: To name the most important: the usurper Ulfric Stormcloak. C: With pleasure. Also, I need hearts and flesh for crafting. N: Same as Q12. S: It was me or them. No question. 14. What kind of animal are you? Z: I'm a werewolf. And the Dragonborn. Y: I'm a werewolf. C: I'm beastfolk, not animal. I should shed your blood for this question. N: I always considered myself a small and peaceful creature, therefore a squirrel, I guess? S: Orcs are no animals. Oh, you mean metaphorically? I'm a sabrecat. 15. Name your worst habits? Z: Hoarding stuff. Especially ingredients and books. Y: I tend to be hot headed and sometimes I regret things. C: In others eyes, killing for my own amusement is one. N: I tend to be melancholic. S: Smashing in faces. 16. Do you look up to anyone at all? Z: Talos. Y: Sometimes, but they mostly prove they were unworthy to it. Sad. C: No. N: Quite a number of people, yes. S: My mother, Shuzhra was the greatest personality ever. I miss her. 17. Are you gay, straight, or bisexual? Z: Straight. Y: Straight. C: I'm not picky. N: I always thought I was straight, but now I'm not that sure... S: Straight-in-your-face, what kind of unashamed question is this? 18. Do you go to school? Z: No, but I learn new tricks on a weekly basis! Y: No, I'm old enough. C: I never needed school to achieve my goals... N: No, but you are never too old to learn! S: I don't need that, unless it's about potions or fighting! 19. Ever wanna marry and have kids one day? Z: Already married, first child is on his way! Y: I already am, and that second... would be good. C: I don't think so. No kids. Never. N: I had a beautiful wife and daughter, but they both died long ago. Now I'm searching for my grandson! S: Maybe... maybe not. 20. Do you have fangirls/fanboys? Z: I don't know. Maybe. [She’s just modest, she has some.] Y: I... have? C: Of course. N: If I have, that's cool. S: I don't need such admiration. 21. What are you most afraid of? Z: That something happens with my family or with those who I care about. Y: Having to fight those who I called my friends once. C: The Sun. Hiss. N: Bonding. S: That I hurt someone who’s not deserving. 22. What do you usually wear? Z: Light armor crafted by myself and a hood. Y: Heavy armor without helmet, or a helmet which doesn't cover my face. I need my foes to know who bested them. C: Light armor with dark tones, hood, sabatoons, veil or scarf and a mask to hide my teeth. N: Plain clothing. I was dressed in burlap clothing with bare feet before the Sparrows made it cool. No, I'm not a religious fanatic. Does it mean I'm a hipster? S: Blades armor with a Greybeard cloak, to shorten the cooldown of my Shouts when I kill dragons. 23. What's one food that tempts you? Z: Most kind of sweets. Y: Milk. C: Hehe. Blood, my dear. N: Elves ear. My favourite spice. S: Dried venison. 24. Am I annoying you? Z: No, these questions are interesting. I love to explore myself by thinking about stuff I usually don't. Y: Not really. C: I don't know yet. N: No. S: A bit. But I manage it. 25. Well, it's still not over! Z: Good! Y: Alright. C: Go on! N: Alright. S: Oh. 26. What class are you? Low class, middle class, high class. Z: Started as middle class, now high class. Y: High class from born. C: Low class to high class in two years. N: Middle class. S: Orcs are orcs, not classy people. 27. How many friends do you have? Z: I don’t like to count, but many. Some are close, the most not much. Kharjo, J’zargo, Brelyna, Aela, Farkas, Lucan, Belethor, Urag, Lydia, Sasha (mod) and my Housecarls. Oh and Paarthurnax. [Non canonically she likes Aronansa and Jenna Sajpa] Y: Who can be sure about that anymore? The Companions, especially after purging our beast blood together. C: Anum-La, The Swamp Knight [from the interesting NPC mod] N: Some people here or there, but I don’t make want to make new friends, I’m too old. S: A few. Why? 28. What are your thoughts on pie? Z: Delicious! Y: I hope it’s a meat pie. C: Bleh. N: I don’t mind one coming my way sometimes. S: Uh, they’re food? 29. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be? Z: Talos! Or my father. Y: My beautiful sister Hroda. C: My enemies, so I can flay them! N: My grandson, Mercer. You heard about him? S: Right now? 30. Favourite drink? Z: Red wine and clean water. Y: Milk! C: Fresh blood. N: Mead. S: Magicka potions. They are good for thirst. 31. What's your favourite place? Z: Hm. Skyrim, as a whole, but I like Heljarchen because that where we live now. Y: Dragonsreach is nice. C: Lakeview, my place. N: Solstheim volcanic side. S: The Reach. 32. Are you interested in anyone? Z: My husband, Balimund! Y: My wife, Zinnia [copy of Zinnia as a mod] C: Not now. N: Don’t tell him but I fancy Tolfdir. S: Not right now. 33. How tall are you?
The game gives the height of the character compared to the average. Different races and sexes have different base values. (e.g. Nord males are 1,03, while Khajiit women are 0,95) I headcanonned the average to be 175 cm (5’74). If you think the average Skyrim player character has a different height value, it modifies my calculation (also, sorry, my brain works in centimeters ))
Z: 175 cm (1) Y: 187 cm (1,071=1,04*1,03) C: 175 cm (1) N: 175 cm (1) S: I'm tall enough, thanks! [It’s a bit sensitive topic for her. She’s 164 cm (0,94=0,9x1,045)] 34. Would you rather swim in a lake or in an ocean? Z: A lake. Salty water is not my type. Y: Both are fine. C: I’d rather not, but if I need; the Ocean. N: How about neither? S: Swimming in heavy armor is not good idea. A brook, maybe? 35. What's your type? Z: Bulky nords with beard! Y: My wife. C: Zero negative, but I can eat any blood type. N: Um, people like Tolfdir? S: Someone who’s brave! 36. Any fetishes? Z: Why would I tell you? Y: No. C: I might have some but it’s none of your business. N: None. S: No.
37. Seme or uke?
[I googled what these mean and not going to answer, because my dragonborns don’t know about such things.] 38. Camping or indoors? Z: Indoors. Y: Both. C: Outside. Hunting. N: Indoors. S: Camping? Adventuring! 39. Are you still wanting this quiz to end? Z: I could do other things, yes. Y: It’s indifferent to me. C: Yes. N: If there’s more question, ask. S: Kind of. 40. Well, it's over! Now tag five people to do this.
*Inaudible mumbling, noises of chairs scratching the floor, bootsteps as they leave to their realities.*
[I’m not tagging, I was tagged more two years ago!]

My pre-pharm program had me submit an e-Portfolio and it did make the PharmCas process much more manageable. Unfortunately, I won't know what kinds of things P1 will entail (beyond the curriculum and my IPPEs) until another couple of weeks
Thanks Cinnia! If you wouldn’t mind, could you let me know how your school will be handling it once you find out?

REALLY  LONG  CHARACTER  SURVEY. RULES.  repost ,   don’t  reblog  !    tag  10  !    good  luck  ! TAGGED.  i stole it TAGGING. anyone can do this tbh. i’m still a meek newbie

Doesn’t mean to look intimidating she’s really a happy idiot USUAL  CLOTHING : Tends to switch it up a LOT. Normally seen wearing baggy pants, a breastplate and sandals. FATHER : Adair. Red hair, blue eyes. He was the reason she was still alive and able to avoid the worst of sicknesses. Very fond of her father, but he has long since passed. She only hopes he died in battle. MOTHER : Cinnia. Red hair, green eyes. The lullabies she used to sing are the only thing that’s keeping Amber motivated to go on. The last thing she wanted for her mother was that she was taken and tortured to death. SIBLINGS : None. Would’ve had an older brother, but he died when he was hardly a month old. EXTENDED  FAMILY : She doesn’t remember, and it doesn’t matter. All are deceased. TROPES :  “action girl”, "badass princess”, “the drifter”. QUOTES : "in the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take”, “i hate goodbyes”, “i stared into the face of death and death blinked first. you’d think that would make me feel brave and invincible. it didn’t”.
MUN QUESTIONS.
Q1 :   if  you  could  write  your  character  your  way  in  their  own  movie ,   what  would  it  be  called ,  what  style  would  it  be  filmed  in ,  and  what  would  it  be  about ?           A1 :   oh boy i don’t think i should dedicate a movie to my oc. that’s like.... yeano i’m good. Q2 :   what  would  their  soundtrack / score  sound  like ?           A2 :   mostly badass battle themes, with the occasional quiet celtic styled music. maybe once in a while, something soft and sort of like... idk where i’m going with this. Q3 :   why  did  you  start  writing  this  character ?           A3 :   because i felt a mighty need in writing her? mostly because of my friend. Q4 :   what  first  attracted  you  to  this  character ?           A4 :  well you see, the reason i even made amber is because of fairy tail. and the only reason i chose to make her a celtic woman was because of what i’m learning in ancient history. Q5 :   describe  the  biggest  thing  you  dislike  about  your  muse.           A5 :   she could like............. not be angry. Q6 :   what  do  you  have  in  common  with  your  muse ?           A6 :   we hate ourselves and feel disconnected from every and any group. Q7 :   how  does  your  muse  feel  about  you ?           A7 :   she’s somewhat okay with me. calls me a sap, though. Q8 :   what  characters  does  your  muse  have  interesting  interactions  with ?         A8 :   not sure yet. need...... to actually have interactions first. Q9 :   what  gives  you  inspiration  to  write  your  muse ?         A9 :  tbh nothing in particular does. i tend to think “oh yeah i could totally write amber today” and just go with that. Q10 :   how  long  did  this  take  you  to  complete ?           A10 :   too long. a few hours honestly.

Time ran out for the Kealohas, sooner than expected. Lavi passed away just a few months after retiring from his long and illustrious athletic career, leaving behind his wife Cinnia and their young daughter Kai'ulani. Cinnia lived a few years more, eventually becoming ill and asking her sister Cordelia to move in, to help take care of her and the then teenaged Kai'ulani. The atmosphere in the house was strained, the two sisters having never gotten along well and Kai'ulani cordially hating her aunt. This probably contributed to Cinnia's rather sudden death, home alone while her daughter was at school and sister at work. Kai'ulani, still only a teenager at the time, hated her aunt so much she couldn't stand even the thought of living with her, and so in the middle of the night, with her small amount of money saved from babysitting and almost no belongings, she left for the city, and got her own apartment. That was where she met Sasha Belov. A dashing Russian man with eyes so blue it was almost scary, Kai'ulani thought he was the only person in the world who had ever spoken to her like she was an adult, and she liked it. She also knew he had money and would take care of her. So what if he was a vampire? He was handsome and could give her a home. She was passionate about all things cooking and baking, and longed to become a parent. She knew she'd make the perfect wife. Why not Sasha's?

Meet the Terrestrial Gods Cast!
Hello hello one and all! We’re Jokes Probably and we’re making a ttrpg podcast set in the Stars Without Number system :) I know that this is slightly out of order since we’ve posted up through episode 5 already, but hey, better late than never! So let’s introduce everyone to the characters that you’ll be following through our story...
In the distant future, on a planet in a completely different solar system in a different galaxy there is a city dedicated to art and enjoyment. Hedonistic lifestyles are the norm there, and one could thank the influence of the Church of Plethos for that. And it is here within a sect of that church that we meet our heroes: Cousins, Cinnia and Heilari.
Cinnia is a guardian and warrior for the sect. She spends her days protecting her church and city from the shadow goblin infestations and spends her nights partying with her friends. Ever the optimist, many consider her to be a light of hope and selfless devotion in a city where most only look after their own desires. But with the shadow goblin population inexplicably on the rise, Cinnia has to figure out what’s going on before too many get hurt...
Heilari is an enigma in many ways. Newer to the sect compared to Cinnia, it’s unclear exactly what or how much she believes in their teachings. One thing is certain though, she has no trouble following the church’s tenet of “pursue your pleasure”. Med student by day and raver by night, Heilari dances through many circles and always seems to know someone wherever she finds herself. However when fellow party-goers start dying, Heilari can’t just sit back and do nothing...
Be sure to give us a listen! You can find Terrestrial Gods on most podcast platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Spreaker, and Google Podcasts (as well as a bunch of others). We’re just starting out so it’d be great if you could listen and give us a comment (leaving a review or reach out to us on here). You can also reach out to us on twitter @jokesprobably as well. And if you’re really enjoying the podcast so far be sure to check us out on Patreon and consider supporting if you’re able. We’ve got some fun ideas for the different tier rewards!
