And while he never likes to seem forceful... he didn’t want to just leave her be. He’d much rather take care of her so she can recover even faster and be able to rest more...

“It’s fine, really! Don’t worry about me, I’m sure I’ll be fine. But you seem to have a pretty bad cold, no...? And you’d only risk pushing yourself if you’re only taking care of yourself... so please, I insist! Let me help take care of you.            ＭＥＳＭＥＲＩＺＥＤ — There was no better word to describe Himiko Yumeno’s current state. You’d think bristles were generating a magical current with each gentle sweep through dark strands. Perhaps replenishing her mana...? In actuality; It wasn’t anything so...FANTASTICAL. Kuroko just had really really really soft hair & there was something kinda soothing about brushing it. She’d never done this before — Hadn’t even started brushing HER OWN hair till the age of sixteen. (Now at eighteen? She still forgot till her mom called & reminded her). 

          “Nyeh...?” Other girl’s voice SNAPPED Himiko outta the weird trance — Blood rushed to the surface of skin & burgundies dropped. As if to avoid Kuroko’s gaze. “S-Soft...And shiny...? You really think so...?” She’d never really THOUGHT ABOUT IT. She wasn’t that kinda girl — Y’know, the type that cared about clothes & hair & makeup & stuff. “Nnnn...I mean...If you wanna...I'm not gonna say no...”

"H-Happy birthday Nanami-san!" She's strangely nervous to give the gamer her birthday gift. Clutched tightly in one hand is a gift bag containing a plushie, a bunny phone case, and a cat hair clip. "Here! Um, I hope your birthday is special a-and uhm..if you want I could spend some time with you! And I could make you dessert."

a smile makes its way onto chiaki’s face at the kind gesture, and at the thought of spending time on her birthday with kuroko. she gently takes the bag from the other girl and peeks inside, beaming at the gifts — and the thoughtfulness behind them. 

“shitai-san, this is so sweet ! thank you so much..”

chiaki takes the cat hair clip out and puts it on immediately, right next to her signature spaceship pin. holding the bag in one hand, she wraps her arms around kuroko in a warm, heartfelt hug. after a moment, she steps back, soft smile still on her face.  “i’d love to spend time with you today ! it sounds like fun.”

She already got the melody going a little as she hummed the first few notes before returning her attention to Kuroko once more. “This sounds pretty fun, let’s give it a try shall we?” She gestured for her friend to follow to the piano, adjusting the sheets on top of the piano rest while she sat down. “Alright, let’s see...you’re more than welcome to sing it as well if you wanted?”
