Greetings writerblr + studyblr, how’s it going?

He-llo! I’m Nav and well, hello! I’m an MA candidate at King’s College London, studying International Relations and Strategic Communication. Before this, I studied to be a journalist and dare I say I was one for a real short while. Before that I wanted to be a filmmaker, and before that an artist, and before that an author and before all of it, I wanted to be a spy.

I suppose I still try to be tiny tiny bits of everything. I love sci-fi and books and writing in bits and pieces. 

For the last, um, two years, I’ve been haunted by the same story. I think it will haunt me, till I spit all of it out, so once my exams are done I will try and write it. Try being the operational word.

The working title is ‘How Sitah lost her Tiger’ (will be tagged as #TaraBalSitah, a story about two girls who end up on the back of a turtle, floating between the dead and the alive. Like @shakspaeree, I don’t tend to talk to anybody about this story (but her). But recently, I realised, I don’t write for myself, I write for others and here I am.

I have been trying to write for a while, say in earnest since I was 16 somethings (I’m nearly 22 now) and haven’t really written much. Still don’t think I can articulate what I know about writing, but if you’re writing something, I would love to read it, follow me and I will v surely follow you back and possibly ask you many many many questions.

Side note: My tumblr is called chutneypudi because that reminds me of home. Chutneypudi is a ground spice mix  with chillies, curry leaves, 5000 types of pulses and nuts, and goes with almost anything (imo) and my grandma makes the best chutneypudi in the world, and I will kill for good chutneypudi.
