Lisa stood over her best friend, whom she had been hunting for the past three days. Over the years that she had known Jamie, she hadn’t had nearly as much fun with him as in those few moments. It was an amazing chase, but she couldn’t say she wasn’t sad to see it come to an end. And despite her starving lust for blood, she couldn’t help but be a bit reluctant.

Jamie was slumped up against the wall, his ankle twisted unnaturally to the side. He had been running, with Lisa close behind, for close to 20 minutes. So, when his foot caught on a loose stone and sent him sprawling, he didn’t bother to get up.

For a second, the red flooded out of her vision. “This was fun,” Lisa said.

“Yeah.” Jamie smiled. “It was great being a part of murder club with you.”

“Likewise.”

The red returned. Lisa stepped forward, then plunged her vegetable knife into his chest.

ABOUT THE ANIMAL

This is Batty, a type of line-and-color-secreting organism (likely mammal). She is legally categorized as an unwholesome cartoon character (this may be a subtype of cryptid but as of this writing the organization has not obtained a warrant to catch and vivisect her, so the science is unconfirmed). We still let her work as a writer and storyboard artist for TV animation though. Diplomatic reasons.

Finally making socks like I've been swearing I'd do for ages. Literally found out as I was looking up other colorways that apparently knitters don't like Knitpicks Chroma (what I'm using) because it's single ply and requires handwashing.

As a crocheter, I'm not sure if the knitting issues will carry over. I don't actually know a whole lot about how ply affects structure. But good information for the future. Though I'm not worried about the handwashing part. I have a whole pile of handwashing stuff.

Anyway, I will finish these socks with the Chroma I have and use stuff labeled "sock yarn" in the future. Honestly, I assumed Chroma WAS a sock yarn since it was wool and nylon. When you read up on sock yarns, you hear a lot about needing wool and nylon.

These socks are from an out-of-print book, and I just discovered the publishing house went out of business in 2023. So, if you have any Martingale craft books, consider scanning them and sticking them on the internet archive so we don't lose the information.

I will be doing a scan of the whole book soonish, I hope.

A comparison that no one is going to see!

Well, the comparison its about SMG4 and a famous brazilian comedian called Chico Anysio their archivements are almost similar but, each one is from diferent generation the fact that each 2 knows perfectlly how to make characters

Chico did 100+ characters and Luke did 50 or more

they have fictional city's, scenarios and more and they are good at comedy

Chico is known as "The Master of Humor" and Luke is known as "The Master of Memes"

the rise, the prime and the decline are also similar

First, we start with the rise of SMG4, doing some SM64 videos, witch was very innovative in that era, the prime was the new storys that he created and the characters too, and the decline was after WOTFI 2022, when he changed and for some people, he lost his talent of being funny, but for others, he's still funny.

And it's the same for Chico, his rise was at a extinct TV station called TV Rio on the mid 50s, when he started to use the chroma key power to do his characters, witch was very innovative in that era, the prime started in the 70s and ended at the end of 90s (1999-almost 2000 i guess) when at the start of the 90s, he became more famous as he created a TV show called "Little School", which was used to reveal and revive the careers of several comedians, and his decline was in the start of 2000s, when for some people, he lost his talent of being funny, but for others, he was still funny

SMG4's first video was in May 7th 2011, 1 year before Chico dies

Chico Anysio's death was in March 23th 2012

(and another thing to add on the comparison, both of them revealed and performed with great artists, they have already been involved in many controversies, they have already been harshly criticized and if they continued with their old humor, at their peak (Chico Anysio in the 80s-90s and SMG4 between 2012 and 2020), they would be very canceled (Luke has already been canceled on several occasions), and finally, in the next generation where they begin to live (Chico Anysio in gen-Z and SMG4 in gen-Alpha), they are known for a single work and still, this work is the greatest success of their career (Chico Anysio with Escolinha do Professor Raimundo and SMG4 with The Amazing Digital Circus).

Hello everyone, it's that time again! Hope you're all well!

Last week was surprisingly really productive??? What???

I will not complain about that!

After 2 weeks of struggling to write anything at all, I will happily take 5000 words.

I think from here onwards I'll stick to a weekly goal of just 3000 words for my own sanity, because aiming for 6000 kinda ruined my headspace ngl.

As for story goals, I have sadly failed to meet one I had been really hoping to meet...

Snowdrops was supposed to go out today (July 1st, 2024) before AO3 went down for server maintenance, but the writer's block hit me hard.

But I'm hoping to have it finished before the week is over, I wanted it done for today for an important reason.

Ank'Harel, Marquet: Ank’Harel, the Jewel of Marquet, is a large city in the Rumedam Desert. It is a bustling metropolis known for its mysterious ruler, J’mon Sa Ord. Vox Machina visited the city during the Chroma Crisis, to seek help and resources.

Rexxentrum, Wildemount: Rexxentrum is the capital of the Dwendalian Empire. It is a massive metropolis, the political centre of the Empire, an economic hub and the base of operations for the Cerberus Assembly. There is also a prominent Archive for the Cobalt Soul. Between that and the Cerberus-run Soltryce Academy, a renowned school of magic, Rexxentrum is seen as a centre of learning. Although not originally from here, the Mighty Nein’s Caleb Widogast lived here for several years. The Mighty Nein’s involvement in the war between the Empire and the Kryn Dynasty eventually brought them to Rexxentrum.

OPTI is an ancient AI whose personality and knowledge is stored on an optical disc, powered by a dual core processor of the early 2000s with enough memory to act like a human, tho hallucinates quite often. can connect to the internet to obtain up to date information but is not recommended because it runs an older version of windows xp embedded

Mr. Tosh thinks different, is helpful, and will do anything with you as long as you know what you want to do

MIXES, you could hear them from a mile away, they likes to hear what everyone has to say, but is a bit shy, as they don't know if they are being rude.

Melody (a.k.a. "Mel") is creative but tired and honestly just wants to never bother with anything anymore, and its definitely showing in the way she talks, acts, and thinks, but if she wants to, she can be really strong.

The sound of nature, placing and breaking blocks and debates about those different blocks became a pleasant background noise for scribing onto an old-worn book. Chroma-green ink was staining the hands that were writing, the grass swinging in the wind, and the leather of the book. His bloody-red ink was still closed, it hadn’t been used yet, and he could only hope it won’t be used in this book.

Until the bloody-red ink was used, Joe knew his family was safe.

“You have nothing to fear here,” Chroma-Admiral Rafriit says, curling his arms in a gesture Taox takes to be reassurance. “Even if these Deep-blighted find a ship, only a fraction of them can leave the planet. You are safe from their hunt, and they will be swept away. This I vow.” He wields authority with grace and ease, and Taox cannot help but look at him with bitter envy for it.

There is much to envy about the Ammonite. Their moon glitters with ships coming and going, resonates with the deep hum of distant engines, greater than any she could have dreamt up. It is barely a day since the final ships capable of flight were destroyed on her orders, and the thought of what could have been if – if not for the king’s madness, if not for the court’s withering, if not for the worms, if, if, if – it bleeds like an open wound.

Anyone left on the Fundament is twice doomed, once by the syzygy and once by her hand.

She will bear this weight for every long year of her life, though now she doubts she will live much longer at all, whatever Rafriit’s assurances, or the Ammonite’s faith in the knowledge the strange, weightless moon overhead has granted them. (Taox knows moons, knows tides, as any engineer who has dealt with the Fundament’s waves knows them, and it is difficult to trust something so vast, with so little presence.)

“I hope that you are right, Chroma-Admiral,” she says, as graciously as she can manage. He abandons her after that for more pressing duties than the care of a single krill.

Perhaps it is insight, granted after long years of struggle, that has her ask for a ship long before the Leviathan breaches out of the Fundament, and its hunters – she glimpses them from orbit, uncoiling from the planet with sinuous and hungry grace – follow.

But Taox rather thinks it is fear.

As children, Sidon and Yona had childish hero crushes on the famous hero of Hyrule, Link.
