A few thoughts on the melding of my Christian me and my Witch me. Today's thought is Faith is Intent, as an unfaltering belief is needed for both. Learning Intent gave me a better understanding of faith, it was an abstract concept before that. By drawing upon your energy and focusing your intent you are putting your faith into what you are doing. Have a blessed evening.

I say at the end of every video, "Be Kind to yourself and be kind to others."

It is hard to be kind to someone like this. These are challenges that I try my best to be patient and not attack back.

It is getting harder with the more I get.

I want to share them with the world, because that's what they're for, but I'm still being shadow stalked. Even while God is dealing with them for things they've done to me and said about me... smh... College Campus Preachers

I keep letting myself get sucked into these maddening debates with anti-evolution, anti-LGBTQ+ absolute WEIRDO pastors on my college campus.

I know I'll never change his mind, I know he'll never hear me. I just desperately want these people to think more critically about what they believe but they just can't do it.

They don't understand WHY they believe what they believe.

They always have some slick answer or out of context verse they can use to side-step whatever you say and find a way to make it about them again.

I went all the way home and came back with Bard Ehrman's "Misquoting Jesus." This "pastor" was quick to tell me that Bart Ehrman is out to drive people away from God, to "turn them agnostic." I told him that I've read the book, and I think that understanding the Bible in all of its contradictions, mistranslations, and mistakes, I have been able to grow even closer to God because I have had to get to know Him better to make sense of it all. I told him that I think my faith is even stronger for taking these things into account.

Maybe I'm wrong about some things. Maybe he's right about some things. But at the end of the day I don't believe he really knows God. I think he worships the Bible, or rather his particular translation of the Bible, that reaffirms whichever political position allows him to not care about the poor.

This matter was brought to my attention by a follower. Finding info was difficult as some of it was in Portuguese. Thanks to their help for translating and helping us find information.

Witches and Lgbt+ people alike in the Brazil's north and northeast cities are facing a deadly reality as far right President Jair Bolsonaro and Minister Damars, target them. The northern cities have the largest population of Lgbt+ and witchcraft, two of the major practices being Candomblé and Umbanda.

In 2018 when Jair Bolsomaro started his campaign the number of homophobic attacks and murders tripled as time passed and well into his Presidency in 2019. This made Brazil the leading country in homophobic homicides. According to TransEurope an Lgbt+ person is killed every 16 hours in Brazil.

After President Bolsonaro took office in January, Brazil's only openly gay congressman fled the country due to death threats. He even openly admitting that if one of his sons was gay that he would rather be dead and that gays should stay away because Brazil will not be a gay paradise. This caused many cinemas and stores who openly supported Lgbt+ community to close down as well.

This year, Brazil's top court has voted racently to include Lgbt+ community to the anti-discrimination laws. With majority vote of 8-3 many hope that this will be the beginning of an end allowing the Lgbt+ community to finally relax. Some still doubt that anything will change as the president makes offensive moves in the northeast.

During this time Minister Damars makes moves against the witchcraft community. Before she became minister Damars was a priest and activist for "Boys wear blue and girls wear pink" movement. One speech was given at First Baptist Church João Pessoa where she speaks of a manual of witchcraft that the north and northeast cities are providing their schools for children, specifically 6 year olds. This supposed manual provides the following teachings:

·How to be a witch

·How to make a witch clothes

·How to make witch bread

·How to make a witch broom

These cities have a large population involved with witchcraft. Many having strong roots in African - derived religions which have important roles for Afro-Brazilians past and present.

The traditions have been celebrated and discriminated at different parts of Brazil's history by different causes.

One major time was post independence by the Catholic church claiming that such traditions were evidence that the traditions were "backwards" African culture and how Afro-Brazilian failed to become "true Catholics".

While many African derived religions there are many others that brought over by slaves such as hausa, yoruba, and many other but due to the culture shock and hiding their beliefs under strick catholic teachings over time gave way to today's practices that are an amalgam of all the various traditions and continue with conversation with others such as Nigeria and thus the Candomblé and Umbanda.

This outbreak of violent attacks and murder throughout Brazil is something I felt needed to be known and awareness. It's an attack on traditions, beliefs, and love. Taking what many feel proud of. Their heritage, the people they love, and their human rights has caused so much panic and sadness but so many cannot afford to move and just as many have stood up and fight for their homes and country.

A new start

I have been thinking about pursuing this life path for a long time now. I’ve felt called to it. So I’ve spent months researching and reading to determine how to approach it. As someone raised Christian who still practices some of the principles in my life I felt that I didn’t want to stray too far off the path I feel comfortable and safe in. This led to me to learning more about Christian witches.

I first called myself a Christian witch on January 6th 2021. This was unintentionally the first day of the third quarter moon. I feel this is not a coincidence. I have felt relatively confident and curious during this phase. Prior to this I did create 3 sigils. during the full moon phase. I focused on all 3 of them while I prayed. One of these was for financial stability. On 1/6/2021 I received a notice in the mail that a prior employer had been sued for effectively shady pay practices and withholding more money than they should have. I was told to contact a number or log into the former payroll site to request a check or direct deposit. The amount they withheld was exactly equal to the amount of debt I owed. To give you an idea this was roughly $100 a week for 7 years worth of work so a significant amount of money. I took the money and paid off my debt withholding enough that I know I can pay off the remaining next month. I took what I withheld and gave it to a family member who was struggling financially as well in my effort to balance the positive energy and try to maintain a selflessness to my work. I have also been utilizing a sigil for weight loss. I take this sigil and do the following: I look at my unclothed body and work to accept who I am. Trying to find love in myself beyond a physical appearance. I utilize a bar of soap infused with rose quartz, for love, and draw the sigil on my stomach focusing on the positives and the transformation I want to make. I’ve done this 3 times in the last week and am down 4 lbs. I do believe it is helping to encourage me to focus on my goal with the work of a healthy eating as well. I sleep with a rose quarter next to me each night as a reminder to love myself. As I continue this journey I will need to pray for guidance in a way I can share this outcome with others to keep the balance in the energy.

This is going to be quite the journey, but I am ready to document it all here and will share my sigils I used in due time. Any spells I practice or potions I create that work I will share here. If you have a Tumblr for the craft let me know so I can follow you and learn as well <3
