Remember! Jesus Saves!
In a world so full of strife and fear, Remember, Jesus is always near. He gave His life, a love so pure, For every soul, His grace endures. When life's storms toss you to and fro, And you're unsure which way to go, Call out to Him, He hears your cries, He'll calm the seas and clear the skies. Though sins may burden, hearts may ache, Remember, Jesus died for your sake. His blood was shed to set…

Faith Over Works Understanding Romans 4
Resurrection and Righteousness: The Hope of Romans 4
The concluding verses of Romans 4 connect Abraham’s faith to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, reminding us that faith in the resurrection is the cornerstone of our justification. Paul emphasizes that just as Abraham believed in God’s power to bring life from barrenness, we are called to believe in God’s power to raise Jesus from the dead. This belief is what justifies us and makes us righteous before God.
Tumblr media
Paul writes, “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification” (Romans 4:25 KJV). This powerful statement highlights the importance of Christ’s resurrection in our salvation. It is through faith in the risen Christ that we are made righteous, just as Abraham’s faith was counted to him as righteousness.
The resurrection of Christ is the ultimate demonstration of God’s power and the foundation of our faith. It is the event that secures our justification and gives us hope for eternal life. Just as Abraham trusted in God’s promises, we are called to trust in the reality of the resurrection, which brings us into a right relationship with God.
Romans 4 is a powerful reminder that faith in Christ’s resurrection is the key to righteousness. Through this faith, we are justified and given the hope of eternal life.

This is what God promises when you mourn your sins. When you are crushed under the weight of your own infirmities, when your own weakness causes despair and when your heart is broken because of your flesh. 💖 Last week was one of those weeks, just overwhelmed by my health and scared of all the other things that were going wrong and I couldn’t but mourn my flesh... but then I remembered this verse! Rejoice for He has saved you! Rejoice because He has already given you all things that pertain unto godliness and life! (2 Peter 1:3) Because the garment of praise is to lift up our heads that are cast down. Let’s praise Him for all His goodness, His providence, His grace, His love, His grace, His joy and for Him, that He rewards us with Himself! 😍🥰 ✿ ✿ If you would like a personalised anime illustration like this or a realism portrait or any other digital art, it is £2 for upto 3 people, landscapes are £2. 🥰 ✿ ✿ ✿ #christianart #christianartist #christiananime #christianspoonie #animeart #anime #garmentofpraise #hope #godgiveshimself #christianhope #mournyoursin #bibleart #gospelart #bibleverseart #bibleverse #biblequotes #cozyinchrist #アニメ #creativechristiancommunity #commissionsopen #humbleyourself https://www.instagram.com/p/CO71EDDlI5D/?utm_medium=tumblr

Sunday blessings, friends! How can I pray for you today? 🙏💗 When stress enters our life, it can be hard to find the peace of God that passes all understanding. But many times God chooses to let us sit in these places of discomfort to let us learn to lean on him. These times of refinement strengthen our ability to pour out his love and grace to a lost world. When we shift our focus from the world’s destructive ways to the life-giving promises God can rescue all of us with, it is easier to be filled with the kind of grace God calls us to pour out to others. ✨ #sundayblessings #prayerrequests #godofhope #graceandpeace #trustinhim #overflow #powerofholyspirit #romans #christianhope #christianencouragement #christianwriters #cainspirations #kristicainbooks https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbm7fzmLp1m/?utm_medium=tumblr

This was a repeated click: everytime I went to visit my grandfather, I would click a picture of this little moss, never actually posting it. The picture is so green, young and lively; an utter contrast to us losing him a month back. His love and energy was always fresh like the plant here, telling us stories from his military life and laughing out loud. Maybe this is the right reminder, of a life we miss, but is now living eternally in heaven. #pictellingstories #missinggrandfather #losshurts #lostlovedones #mia1camera #heaven #christianhope #plantlife #naturephotography (at Trivandrum, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz9uDNjnww8/?igshid=sj61r5qw1rbm

Mary Magdalene’s Transformation From Sorrow to Triumph in John 20
"The Peace That Transcends Fear: Understanding Jesus’ First Appearance to the Disciples in John 20"
Tumblr media
The scene in John 20 shifts from the garden tomb to a room where the disciples have gathered. It is the evening of the same day that Mary Magdalene has encountered the risen Jesus, and the disciples are still reeling from the events of the past few days. They are hiding behind locked doors, afraid of what might happen to them now that Jesus has been crucified. Their fear is palpable; they are in a state of shock, confusion, and uncertainty.
In the midst of this fear, Jesus suddenly appears among them. His first words to them are "Peace be unto you." This greeting, common in Jewish culture, takes on a much deeper meaning in this context. Jesus is offering them peace, not just as a formality, but as a profound gift in the midst of their fear and uncertainty. This peace is not simply the absence of conflict, but the presence of something much greater—the reassurance that Jesus has conquered death and that their lives have meaning and purpose beyond their immediate circumstances.
After offering them peace, Jesus shows them His hands and side, the wounds from His crucifixion. This is a crucial moment—it confirms to the disciples that this is indeed Jesus, risen from the dead, and not a ghost or a figment of their imagination. The disciples’ reaction is one of joy; they move from fear to gladness as they realize the truth of the resurrection.
Commonly Asked Question: Why Did Jesus Say, "Peace Be Unto You"?
One of the common questions about this passage is why Jesus chose to greet His disciples with "Peace be unto you." This greeting was a common one in Jewish culture, but in this context, it carries a deeper significance. The disciples were in a state of fear, hiding behind locked doors, uncertain of their future. Jesus’ greeting of peace was a way of calming their fears and reassuring them that He was truly alive and that they had nothing to fear.
Moreover, this peace is a gift that Jesus had promised them before His crucifixion. In John 14:27, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." The peace that Jesus offers is not just a temporary feeling of calm, but a deep, abiding peace that comes from knowing that He has overcome the world, including death itself.
This peace is essential for the disciples as they prepare to carry out the mission Jesus will give them—to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. It is a peace that will sustain them through persecution, trials, and challenges, reminding them that Jesus is with them always, even to the end of the age.
