i don't what part of all of this is the worst.

that rakiel's first objection was that harmion only has princes.

that seemingly the only thing stopping harnant from changing his teenage son into a teenage daughter to marry him off to a 20-something guy is that there's no miraculous sex change in this universe.

that in harnant's mind the first thing that could've come to rakiel's mind was miraculous sex change instead of like. gay marriage.

what this says for queer people in this universe,,, i would say i don't want to know but honestly i kind of really do. does this mean that gay people are just. not a thing in this universe canonically. or is it a matter of royal folks needing to marry with a person of the opposite sex in order to have heirs. was rakiel's first thought sex change or did he think harnant was offering one of his sons for marriage? if the first is it because marrying a dude just isn't in his radar?? if the latter then fucking coward lmao

i don't know what it is about christan that just makes me think he would have so many friends with benefits. he just. he took to being naked so quickly something just tells me he'll turn into the kind of adult who just doesn't have any shame whatsoever in his own body and that would lead into not having much shame in his sexuality either. he'll be attracted to someone and just. go for it. no shits given. only stopping to consider the possible political ramifications of bedding the second imperial prince.

i don't think it would be something serious, not even romantic actually, just two people of around the same age and somewhat equal standing being attracted and deciding that yeah, they could go for it.

i think they could both relate to being younger siblings expected to pick up the slack from their older brothers and being groomed as heirs to the throne of their respective countries even if their circumstances were vastly different. and i dunno, i think christen's new attitude to his own body would do theo some good too. their relationship to their bodies is very different, but after theo's breakdown and subsequent extreme diet, i think it would do him a lot of good to be around someone who feels no shame whatsoever about his body and feels very comfortable in his own skin.

i marked the "they should go to therapy together" mostly because i need someone to drag theo into therapy immediately. and it would do christan some good too lmao

right now? no, never, christan is a baby, he's barely seventeen, he's been isolated from everyone for years and rakiel is his physician. it would be an actual crime for anything to happen between them lol

BUT, and hear me out, i do think christan has a big crush on rakiel. i think rakiel swung a little too hard when giving christan suspension bridge effect in order to get him to agree to the treatment and now he has a little prince experiencing the craziest first love in the continent for him.

do i think it will develop further than that? not really. i think christan will have a big crush on rakiel for a very long time, but it will mostly be a childish kind of love, something that makes you happy to feel but doesn't really have bases to mature into something stronger.

he'll probably feel kinda embarrassed about it once he grows up and realizes how painfully young he probably looked to rakiel when they first met, but it's not a painful shame, just an awkward thing that happened and now you can look at it and laugh about it because yeah it was sorta funny actually.

i think in the future, once they're both older and he's more mature, he would probably even tell rakiel about it, just a casual "hey hyung did you know i had the biggest crush on you when we met?", because he thinks it's a little funny and he thinks rakiel would also get a laugh about it.

and yeah rakiel would tease him about it, ask him if his insistence on walking around naked was really about the freedom or if he was making a move and it would be that. just a funny anecdote, an inside joke for the two of them only.

as for why i marked "friends with benefits",,, it's because i do think christan 'this walking around naked thing is really cool actually' harmion would be the kind of guy to tell his friend "hey hyung can we fuck once? wanna cross that out of my bucket list <3" without any shame whatsoever lmaooo. and while i'm not sure rakiel would agree, i do think it would be very funny if he did jashdkja
