Whenever Choi Seung Hyun had his first official one night stand before his first BigBang tour in 2007, he'd never expect to come back to find a whole child waiting for him. It took a minute to track your mother down after she had left young 2 month year old y/n with the three remaining members of BigBang while Seung Hyun was out of town filming, claiming he'd be a lot better to raise the kid than she was, considering who he was.

Seung Hyun would be skeptical at first, not that he didn't love you, he just really didn't think he'd be capable of caring for a child, especially during his Military enlistment time, you were only ten whenever he left for training, leaving you alone, yes you had your uncles, but they weren't your dad. You weren't that sensitive, the boys going out of their way to make sure you could handle the world of k-pop, especially with you being in the spotlight with your dad. Whenever Seung Hyun left BigBang, you were fifteen, old enough to understand the things your dad had to deal with was not okay in the slightest. Seung Hyun wouldn't lie to anybody, you were his rock and his saving grace during those years he'd spend tucked away in his home, you always made sure he took care of himself, even if he lost his cool once or twice. You didn't ever mind though, you loved your dad, you knew the story of how your mom left, and even if your dad would never admit it, and get pissed at you for even saying it, you knew your dad could've given you away to continue with the life he was in the line of getting with clubs and partying with women. That's why you didn't mind helping him, he could've left you but he never did, he went above and beyond for you instead, he loved you more than anything and you were always on a mission to show him how much you appreciated him constantly, even if sometimes you'd argue and annoy each other.

Not only did you make sure Seung Hyun took care of himself, you also without knowing, caused him to become a little more comfortable with BigBang's music after he left. You loved your uncles, and while you understood why your dad had cut them off, you missed them a lot, so some days you'd blare their music through your house, it helping you feel closer to them while respecting your father's wishes of keeping your distance. Seung Hyun already felt terrible for keeping you from them basically, so he wouldn't dare argue with you again about what music you played, not after the first time. You had looked so heartbroken after he had threatened to ground you for it, stating softly you just wanted to leave and live with your uncle Ji, after that he realized, you didn't listen to the music as a way to do your exposure therapy thing you were always trying to get him to try, you just really wanted to hear the boys' voice again.

Despite that, you were still close with your dad, always supporting him, especially whenever he decided to take on the role of Thanos in squid game. You followed him to work basically every day, even with you being sixteen, you were still very close with your dad, you couldn't help it though, between being homeschooled over your father's fear of you being bullied or stalked, and your extreme emotional maturity, you understood why your dad needed you around so much.

As you stood in the kitchen, in the process of making yourself and your dad breakfast, you nodded along to your uncle's verse in Bae Bae, a song wasn't too fond of you singing, but he also knew at the end of the day, there was no stopping you, you'd just make sure to wake him up belting the lyrics everyday if he tried. As soon as your dad's verse start, you were quick to sing along, using your spatula as a microphone as you mimicked their old choreography, not noticing your dad until he smiled, making his way out to you as he copied your moves. Even if it was a song, he wasn't very fond of you knowing, he'd always feel a sense of confidence wash over him knowing you were proud of the art he helped make.

As the song faded into the next, you slowly stopped laughing, smiling as he served him his plate, he thanked you, sitting down at the table as he watched you curiously. It was rare you cooked, always preferring to order in compared to cooking, unless it was your dad's cooking, sometimes. Seung Hyun watched as you spun around grabbing everything you needed for your food, following along with every word to 'Doom Dada' "Do you listen to anything other than this?" He asked playfully, watching as you shot him a glare "leave me alone, I am having breakfast with my appa and uncles" You huffed, never stopping your movements of dancing to the music "And yes I do, but you wouldn't like it" You smirked rolling your eyes, knowing your dad probably would like it, just not the idea of you liking it, due to the rather..sexual messaging behind the lyrics. As you finished rapping to the music, you smiled as you heard the already familiar beat to your uncle's new song 'Power'. You slid your feet around as you sung along, finishing up your breakfast as you sang, the entire time your father making a plan he wasn't too sure about.

After breakfast, your dad was quick to hide in his bedroom, keeping the door locked as he contemplated on his plan. You were currently outside of his door, a nervous wreck, you didn't mean to be, but with your dad's past of getting depressed and locking himself away for days, you had a little worry. Your worrying was cut short whenever your dad's opened sorry "Appa! You..." You stopped yourself, staring at him, debating if it was the best idea to call your father an asshole "You father" You huffed finishing your sentence, causing Seung Hyun to raise his eyebrows towards you "Really? That was..the best insult you've ever had, aein" He replied playfully before leaning against the wall "Come in here, I want to talk to you" He stated calmly, watching as you walked in, plopping yourself down on his bed happily "What's up, Appa" You smiled softly tilting your head "Gotta go to work early? You want to give me a mansion and a million won? You're so kind" You smiled playfully as he laughed "Ha! In your dreams, anyways...I talked with Ji-Yong" He stated, his tone changing to a more serious one, you were quick to look at him in shock "You did!? That's amazing!-" He cut you off by raising his hand, you quickly stopped speaking, looking at your father nervously "If you want to...He's willing to let you stay with him for a week, so you can see your uncles again" He whispered, not taking his eyes off of his socks "Do not, ever power your phone off, other than for the plane ride, you listen to every staff and flight attendant that is in charge of you, and always answer your phone please" He listed off rules before giving you a serious glare "Do not, sign any contracts, I've already told you, I don't want you in that world, not yet" He explained, you just shook your head "I know, but really? You're going to let me go? Are you sure, Appa?" You asked nervously as you grabbed onto his arm to get his attention "Yea..yes I'm sure, as long as you follow those rules, and promise to call me every night and to come back whenever you're supposed to" He whispered, you hugged him tightly, feeling yourself start to tear up at the thought of not only seeing your uncles again, but also the thought of not seeing your dad for a whole week.

Whenever you made it to the airport, you tried not to cry, giving your dad a tight hug before waving goodbye, heading towards the gate. As you tried to keep your tears a secret, Seung Hyun still noticed, he had raised you after all, pulling out his phone quickly he called you. "Hello? Appa why are you calling?" You asked, trying to steady your voice as you approached security "Oh my gosh, don't look now, but there's a famous person behind you" He whispered playfully, you couldn't suppress your giggle as you turned around to see your dad playfully hiding behind different objects he could find. Even with your distance, you could still notice the tears going down your father's cheeks, even when crying, he was still trying his best to cheer his little girl up, but that was just the type of person he was. "You're so stupid" You whimpered into the phone "Aein...please don't cry...you'll be back" He assured, wiping his face quickly, offering you a thumbs up from where he stood "I'm just..I'm gonna miss you..and I'm scared..what if you need me?" You whispered, squeezing the fabric of your jacket in your fists as you tried to calm your anxiety, a sob slipping past your lips instead "W-What if you need me, and I'm not there and won't answer" You repeated, Seung Hyun could feel his heart break, he hadn't noticed how badly his depression had effected your anxiety. Of course you worried yourself with your father's mental health though, having the same issues, you knew how important and good it felt having someone actually care and notice your patterns, your anxiety just got in the way sometimes.

"Oh Y/n...Aein, I'll be okay, don't you dare burden yourself with my things right now, they're for me to carry, will I miss my #1 amazing awesome daughter? Of course, but I'll be okay..It's only a week" He assured, nodding softly, you gave one more tearful goodbye to your dad before walking through security and boarding your plane.

The plane boarding process was smooth, you quickly found the flight attendant that was responsible for making sure you made it to Ji-yong safely. After that you had fallen asleep, only waking up for about an hour to eat and take a few pictures of the clouds for your dad. As you got off the plane, you looked around for any of your uncles or their security, spotting Ji-Yong and the others standing off to the side you rushed over smiling. "Sorry Ma'am, no photos right now" Their security guard huffed, you just rolled your eyes smiling at Dae-Sung brightly "Y/n!!" He squealed out, never being able to forget the famous Choi Seung Hyun smile you had inherited, the guards moved to the side, allowing you to hug them all excitedly "Oh my god! Look at you, Aein! You're giant just like your Appa!" Tae-Yang smiled, hugging you tightly, you just smiled, missing their nicknames for you. Aein being the most common. "You're so grown up, and you look just like your Appa" Ji-Yong smiled in awe, holding your hands gently as you bowed to the three of them "I've missed you guys, more than anything" You stated smiling as the flight attendant brought your bags over "Oh my gosh! I almost forgot! Thank you!" You smiled brightly, taking them before turning your attention back to your uncles.

The week you were there, you had a lot of fun, spending all the time you could with your uncles before it came time to leave, while you were upset, and you knew you'd miss this more than anything, you were also relieved to see your dad again. "I'll miss you guys, but you have my number now, so I expect texts from all of you, or I'm exposing you for the most random things I can think of" You threatened playfully, trying to hold back your tears, you couldn't help but tear up though, seeing the three boys' sad faces as they stood with you at your gate. "We will, just..be careful okay? Keep taking care of your Appa for us, please.." Dae-sung offered, hugging you tightly, giving you a tight squeeze before pulling away "Yea..we're all lucky to have you, Aein, you always take care of your Appa, just, keep at it, make sure our brother knows we love and miss him" Ji-Yong whispered, pulling you into a tight hug as he tried not to cry himself, but he couldn't stop himself. Ji-Yong took a big part in raising you, if it wasn't Seung Hyun with you, you were almost always clung to Ji-Yong's hip, begging him for something your dad said no to. "I'm gonna miss you so bad, Aein" He whispered, kissing the top of your head before stepping back, letting Tae-Yang pull you into a hug. "Be a badass, keep being my amazing thoughtful y/n, alright?" He stated as he squeezed you tightly, you tried to swallow the lump in your throat as you nodded softly "I'll try...you guys promise to call me?" You whispered, biting the inside of your cheek trying not to cry "Of course! You better hurry before you miss your flight" Tae-Yang assured, rushing you off towards the boarding hall.

The flight back you stayed curled up in your seat, trying to get all of your tears out before you got home, not wanting your dad to feel bad for having you only stay a week.

Walking off of the plane and into the airport, you tried to spot your dad, it was late at night, the airport was mainly empty, most people on your flight getting taxis or getting on connecting flights. The longer it took to spot Seung Hyun, the more you started to panic, he knew what time he had to meet you here, he literally reminded you the entire time you were with your uncles. "Aein!" You heard him shout as he rushed out of the baggage claim "Sorry! I wanted to grab your things, I wasn't expecting it to take that long" He smiled softly, you just smiled brightly, rushing over to hug him tightly "I missed you, Appa" You whispered, holding onto the back of his hoodie tightly "I missed you too, Aein! Did you have fun? How was it?" He asked smiling softly as he led you towards the car. As you rambled about all of the things you did, Seung Hyun just smiled, happy to see his daughter this excited and happy over just one week. "They miss you a lot, Appa.." You whispered, knowing it was a touchy subject, you watched as he clenched his jaw for a moment before looking at you "I know..I miss them too..but it's not time yet" He whispered, grabbing your hand gently "Until it is time though? I just need my y/n" He sighed contently as he drove you both back home "What are you going to do whenever I move out?" You asked playfully, watching as he shot you a glare "Don't talk about that, it's not time for that either" He whispered, causing you to roll your eyes, of course he didn't want to talk about you moving out yet.

Writer: Lee Min Seob (based on the webtoon by CRG & Kim Kyu Sam)

Mini-review:

I love shows and movies that focus on the moral conflicts of vigilantism. It's always a fascinating topic, and Vigilante delves deep into it. I feel like some people won't be happy with this drama's take, though, cause there are points were it pretty much justifies the main character's actions. However, that's what makes him even more interesting, and Nam Joo Hyuk gives a pretty solid performance in the darkest role of his career (special mention to his speech in episode 6). That being said, the show is so short that it barely has time to develop the characters and their connections. I don't know who decided to make only 8 x 40-45 minute episodes, but it wasn't a good idea. The whole thing feels rather rushed, and it doesn't take the necessary time to properly set all its stakes. It's definitely enjoyable, but it would have been even better as full-length drama.

Curtain Call

The opening scene of this story captivated my attention. It was heart breaking to see families trying to leave the North and move to the South when the different nations decided to split a country in two. Korea was no longer a Japanese colony and now was taken by two opposing powers and split in two, breaking families, friendships too. Ja Keum Soon never forgot the husband and child she left behind in the North, and later on, her grandchild, Moon Seong. She find love in the South and had another son and three other grandchildren who she loved, but her hotel, overlooking the ocean that could bring her loved ones from the North was a reminder of that part of her life that they didn't know much about but were all aware of it.

The story starts when she is sick and Sang Cheol wants to find Moon Seong to bring him to the South and spend her last days with her. But Moon Seong's life hasn't been easy and to take care of his sick wife he is moving in the darkest circles and Sang Cheol decides that he is not the grandchild Ja Keum Soon needs right now, so he hires an actor to play the roles Moon Seong and an actress to play the role of his wife. . .

It is a sweet story about family and I like the ending of the story. People moving on and keeping those connections they formed during those last months of Ja Keum Soon's life. But it was slow and at times it felt repetitive and there were things that hung in the air. We don't know what happened to Moon Seong's wife surgery, for example. I think it could have been a shorter series. Still, the series was nice and I liked the characters and the dynamics between them. It tackles issues that I haven't seen in other series and that made it fresh and unique.

Summary: For weeks you couldn't get either man out of your head, but what happens whenever they finally find you and have a chance to speak with you again.

After that night you tried to go back to your usual life, but it was hard whenever everything reminded you of the two men you had slept with, it was a first for you, most guys you got with were always vanilla, so spending that night with Seung Hyun and Ji Yong was a complete 180 for you, not that you were complaining. You attempted to find them on social media, but after looking up their names and seeing the extensive internet history of them being famous and apart of a huge K-pop group, you were quickly scared away.

Seung Hyun and Ji-Yong were having the same exact issue as you, desperately trying to figure out who exactly you were, but without a last name it was proving to be a lot more difficult than they had originally thought. After reaching out to a few friends the boys were quick to learn your name, thank god Ji-Yong had taken a video of the boys at the club, catching you not far off in the background of it. Whenever you got message from Ji-Yong you were concerned at first, until he explained that your friend, Mi-Su, had given him your number. Agreeing to meet again at your apartment considering they had already been there you all sat in the living room. You felt flustered under their gazes, knowing that the last time they saw you, you weren't exactly sober. "We can't stop thinking about you" Ji-Yong started nervously, this topic wasn't exactly something you could just cut to the point with, but Ji-Yong wasn't really sure how to ease into it. You could feel your face heat up as Ji-Yong spoke, looking down at your hands "I-I've thought about you two as well" You shyly admitted, your admission caused both boys' hearts to jump, looking back up to see their reactions, you saw them both looking at each other. "So....what does that mean?" You asked after a moment, messing with your rings nervously, you weren't exactly sure why they were here, but you figured with you not being able to get them out of your head, why not have them come over and talk like they want to?

"We um..We talked about it...and if you're okay with it..we both wanna take you out" Seung Hyun nervously mumbled out, scratching the back of his neck as he looked down at his shoes "Only if you're okay with it, y/n" Ji-Yong jumped in, watching your face closely as you processed their request, both of them? "So..like..two boyfriends?" You asked tilting your head confused, Ji-Yong couldn't hide his smile at your cuteness "Basically..yea" He answered sheepishly, his freshly dyed red hair falling in front of his eyes. "I..um.." You stopped, were you really about to do this? What has your life come to? You worked at a half ass restaurant as a cook, and now two famous k-pop idols were wanting you to be their girlfriend, what the fuck.

You noticed their nervousness, Ji-Yong repeatedly adjusting his beanie, Seung Hyun messing with his hands, his eyes never meeting yours until you replied "Sure" You shrugged smiling, watching both of their heads turn towards you quickly in shock "R-Really?" Seung Hyun asked in shock, glancing at you and then Ji-Yong, almost like he couldn't believe what the hell he was hearing. "Yea, You both seem really sweet, and hot, so why not, as long as I won't mess with you two as friends" You explained calmly, trying to stay calm, knowing you'd call your friend later to freak out about your situation. "No, No we've already talked about it" Ji-Yong assured before smiling softly "So would you..wanna stay for dinner?" You asked softly, motioning to your kitchen nervously.

The next week was amazing, you had spent it with both men, learning more about them while starting to realize you really liked the two. "Y/n?.." You heard Seung Hyun's half asleep voice call from the living room, groaning and rolling out of your bed, you slowly shuffled to the living room where both Ji-Yong and Seung Hyun stood, finally ready for work "I was laying down, this better be good" You huffed crossing your arms under your blanket that you had wrapped around you "You're adorable, Aegiya" Ji-yong smiled, pressing a short kiss to your forehead before looking to Seung Hyun "We have to rehearse today, but did you want to come to our place?..You can meet Dae-Sung and Tae-Yang?" Seung Hyun asked softly, resting a hand on your shoulder "You can wear that, if your heart is set on it" He offered, you just nodded going to get your phone and other things you'd need, you'd be damned if you were getting all dressed up this early in the morning, the sun hadn't even come up yet, and wasn't for a few more hours. Both boys just laughed as you shuffled back to them, leaning into Seung Hyun's side as Ji-Yong opened the door for you both before taking your hand holding it gently as Seung Hyun wrapped his arm around your shoulders.

You laid around for about six hours before you heard the door open and different voices start to echo off of the walls "Oh Y/nnn!" You heard Ji-Yong's voice call, you slowly got up from your spot, peeking out of the room before shyly walking out towards the group of men that stood waiting in the living room "Guys! Meet Y/n, she's amazing" Seung Hyun smiled brightly, you waved softly chewing on your bottom lip gently was you approached them all, Ji-Yong wrapped his arms around you quickly, resting his head on your shoulder as you shook Dae-Sung and Tae-Yang's hands, giving Seung Hyun a soft smile as he kissed your knuckles gently "Aein" He greeted as you blushed brightly resting your head on Ji-Yong's as the others spoke, the entire night Dae-Sung had a weird feeling about you, the way you were dating Ji-Yong but the way you interacted with Seung Hyun was weird, the thing that confirmed it? Was after Ji-Yong fell asleep, Dae-Sung had caught you and Seung Hyun making out, his arm propping against the wall keeping you pinned as his lips were firmly pressed against yours. Sneaking into his friends room he quickly shook Ji-Yong "Buddy, bro, wake up" He grunted, sighing in relief whenever Ji-Yong sat up tiredly looking at him confused "Your girlfriend is out there making out with Seung Hyun" He whispered, pointing towards the wall, Ji-Yong just huffed dropping his back into the pillows "You don't care?" He asked after a moment, Dae-sung was confused, why the hell was his friend not upset right now? "He's allowed to, bro" He grumbled into his pillows "She's his girl too" He added on before turning his back to Dae-sung pulling the blankets back over his face.

The two spent the night talking about possibilities on what could be going on between their two friends and you, only to be caught by Seung Hyun a few hours later. While he explained to the others, you were laying next to Ji-Yong, laying pieces of his hair out of the way of his face, he was even pretty whenever he slept, and it frustrated you a little bit, how could both men be so effortlessly perfect? As you laid there, now glaring at the ceiling, Ji-Yong's arm draped across your waist, Seung Hyun walked in chuckling at your glare "What's going on, Aein?" He asked softly, shutting the door behind him as he crawled on the other side of you, plopping himself down before laying his arm slightly higher than Ji-Yong's on your waist "How are you both this good looking, but I have to spend forty minutes trying to get my hair to work with me in the mornings" You huffed, turning your head to glare at him "You truly are adorable" Was all he replied, chuckling softly to himself before pressing his lips to your jaw gently "I'm going to fall asleep soon though..If you need anything just wake me up okay?" He asked softly, even in the dark you could make out his features, and how truly beautiful he looked "Got it" You smiled softly, turning to lay your head on his chest as Ji-Yong turned on his side to wrap his arm around you.

The next morning, you woke up with only one of the men in bed with you, Seung Hyun was still fast asleep next to you as your phone buzzed again with a message

'Got called in for solo rehearsal, be back soon <3'

You sent back a heart before dropping your phone back on the mattress turning towards one of your boyfriends "Seung..." You whispered, placing a hand on his bare chest, his bright blue hair a frizzy mess as he slowly peeked his eyes open, smiling softly at you before closing his eyes again, you huffed, needing him to wake up in order for you to get out of bed, grabbing your phone to ask Ji-Yong what exactly to do. After getting your answer you turned your attention back to Seung Hyun, cupping his cheeks "Aein..wake upp" You whined softly, not wanting to be too loud incase their other bandmates were home, Seung Hyun huffed, attempting to turn away from you, after realizing he wouldn't be able to he sighed opening his eyes "Shhh I'm sleeping with girlfriend" He whispered, pulling you closer to him "Noooo! Seung Hyun I need to gooo" You whined trying to fight against his tired grip "Why?.." He mumbled as he slowly opened an eye again "I have work, My love" You whispered, pressing your lips gently to his before trying to get back up "Just..stay here, its okay" He huffed, not loosening his grip, you sighed smiling at him "Fine, since I like you a tiny bit" You teased, Seung Hyun gave you playful glare before pulling you close to him, giggling softly you traced circles on his chest sighing "Are we just going to lay in bed all day?" You asked, your tone still teasing as he looked at you smiling "Mmmm maybe until Ji gets back" He said shrugging, tracing his fingers up and down your arm "Do you know how beautiful you are?" He asked softly, tilting his head gently as you blushed, dropping your head against his chest "Don't say that.." You giggled, he just grabbed your hand smiling "I'm gonna say it, because it's true" He whispered playfully, you just rolled your eyes "Fine then, do you know how beautiful you and Ji are?" You fired back, watching as his cheeks turned a soft shade of pink "Seriously, you just woke up and already you're making my knees weak?" You giggled, smiling as he looked at you in confusion "How?!" He asked laughing loudly, you just smacked his arm softly as you blushed.

You both did indeed lay in bed all day, whenever Ji-Yong walked in he was greeted by you both laying in his bed laughing loudly at something on Seung Hyun's phone "He looks so adorable! I love it!" You smiled grabbing his phone to send yourself the picture of a sleeping Ji-Yong that was sleeping in an airport, hanging halfway off of the chairs while holding a stuffed animal. "What do you have that's making our beautiful girl laugh that hard?" Ji-Yong asked after pulling away from your hug "We did for a little bit, it's just so comfortable in here" You objected before offering your hand "Come see for yourself" You tempted, waving your hand gently as Ji-Yong took it gently flopping next to you on the mattress, scooting closer to you as he looked over at Seung Hyun's phone "Really! I thought you meant my good pictures!" He protested whining, Seung Hyun laughed shaking his head as he muttered 'never' as you smiled cupping his cheeks "Don't worry, Ji, he showed me" You assured sweetly, causing his heart to swoon, as the three of you laid in bed you sighed, not knowing how you ended up in this situation, but you weren't at all complaining.
