What would you think if Chloe and Audrey heard rumours about the way they were going to be portrayed in Astruc’s new movie, so they went back to Paris in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the movie from being completed? Then an evilized villain (maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe (in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state (heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall many of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks “Zoe's” change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since “Zoe” is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince “Zoe” to let them help her relearn how to be “herself” again. Meanwhile, in New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt Marinette.
Eventually, after listening to “Chloe”, Marinette starts to suspect that “Chloe” might be telling the truth, so she decides that she must test “Chloe” and “Zoe”. She fakes being in danger to see how they react. “Zoe” reacts slightly faster than “Chloe”, so Marinette comes to the conclusion that “Chloe” is lying and that “Chloe” has an evil and manipulative plan. Marinette thinks that “Chloe” must have picked up a few tricks from Lila, because she thinks no version of Chloe could possibly react faster than Zoe when it comes to protecting her. So Audrey takes “Zoe” back to New York again to “correct” her after “Zoe” fails to convince anyone of the truth.
10 years later, “Zoe” gets seriously injured after fighting a villain when Ladybug isn’t around, which causes “Zoe” to not have long to live. Then Ladybug accidentally stumbles upon the truth about “Zoe” while trying to help “Zoe” using magical powers. Ladybug decides that the moral thing to do is to switch Chloe and Zoe back to their original bodies. Once Zoe gets her body back, she blames Chloe for her impending death and for leaving her with 10 years of loneliness, while Chloe got off scot-free. When Lila gets defeated, Zoe steals the Butterfly Miraculous to get her hands on Ladybug and Catnoir’s miraculouses, hoping to “make things right”. Zoe gets defeated by the heroes (including Chloe, who has gotten her memories back) and Ladybug manages to cure Zoe’s injuries.
Holly shit dude that's sick! I love AUs where things get mixed up and change. I love Chloe, she's my favourite and she really has potential as we saw until asstruc™ go on an ruined it but it really ended up more of a tragedy like someone else said in a post, by Marinette forcing Chloe out of her life where she plays a villain Chloe has to be the victim of her story and i think that's really poetic. I love when "villains" are only villains for other people while having their reasons and trauma etc. which the "main characters" can't see or understand.
This au can also be interpreted as Chloe when given a chance with people not treating her like devil incarnate can be better and i think that just shows how hypocritical everyone else is. It can also be a way for Zoe to understand why change is so hard for Chloe rather than her actually hating her sister. Even when she's being Zoe and being nice as long as people see Chloe's face they call her all kinds of things behind her back and to her face. I think she might start hating the "good people of Paris" rather than blaming Chloe because when she first came to Paris everyone was nice without even knowing anything about her, only hesitating when they heard her sister is Chloe, even then the immediate though they had was "she's actually secretly nice but Chloe is what's wrong" when it was Zoe acting how she did whenever she was around people before coming to Paris, sure that's an act but Chloe isn't the one who made her start doing that, it was Zoe herself who deals with her trauma caused by their mother and people around her just like how Chloe is determined to be like their mother so she loves her own daughter, it's literally the same trauma but she has no one who teach her what's wrong or right, only thing nice she knows is her dad drowning her with gifts not taking care of her, and only people who might've been helpful (hotel staff) she can't possibly listen to because she's conditioned to belittle and hate them since birth.
It'd be cool if Chloe and Zoe worked together against the people who would rather send Chloe to hell before they can even think about her not actually being a villain and more of a victim of abuse and not having a parent figure that isn't abusive or only spoils her to the point she doesn't know what being loved means other than having money and gifts.
They could even do the whole stealing miraculous thing but being more of a vigilante duo rather than villains but Ladybug still want to get the miraculous back and seeing the sisters more of a villain while the people of Paris slowly warms up to them since they're mostly helping people in a different more emotional way while researching a way to switch back to their own bodies.
I can see Marinette and at first Chat Noir alongside with Alya and most of Paris hating them seeing them as Hawk Moth 3.0 but slowly seeing that they're not evil (probably except Marinette at first until maybe they found out the truth or thinking this was a trap to gain trust so they can take over the world or something because she's also traumatized and have trust issues alongside paranoia)
Eventually as the sisters use miraculous to help people rather than villainy people start to trust them and they continue to try finding a way to turn back. They also try people to give Chloe (Zoe) a chance while Chloe as Zoe starts to get better and heal without all the drama and hypocrisy from Parisians especially her classmates since she has to go to Zoe's class for now and is away from people who hate her more than others.

Sick of Chloe discourse.
Yes she's an abuser.
Yes she's abused.
Yes her pre-frontal cortex isn't fully developed.
Yes she knows better.
Yes her life is a tragedy.
Yes she's a horrible person I wouldn't want to be around.
All of these things can be true. She can be pitiable and mean. She can be deserving of love and happiness but not be entitled to it from specific individuals.
As someone who suffered from child abuse and bullying, I can understand both sides of people who have only had one or the other, but as an adult I can understand these sides aren't actually conflicting. They just both exist, and they co-exist.
A bully getting redemption doesn't invalidate the pain they caused or absolve them of their transgressions. A person being awful doesn't invalidate their own hardships or make them deserve it. People are complex, characters are complex.
You don't need to specifically want her to have a redemption. You don't need to specifically want her to not have one. But why are we arguing about it to the point where we're trauma dumping and projecting our own insecurities on to random Tumblr users who just happen to disagree? You can discuss a disagreement without all that, and if you're arguing to a point where you're triggering yourself, please just block people for your own mental health.

i will never not be mad that chloe is still the bad guy
are you kidding me with this bullshit?
her character development was so fucking good, she was getting better (not perfect mind you but even then the writers could have made her change even more.)
and then the writers said “fuck it. good well thought out plot lines that have a satisfying ending? lol no”
they threw her redemption arc right in the fucking toilet and im so mad
i demand justice for chloe. the only thing i need in life is a chloe redemption arc i swear
if they redeem lila (which they shOULDNT) before chloe i will sue

WAIT OK something i thought of that could potentially be incredibly stupid because i have -3 braincells so nobody come for me BUT, ok im 1000% on the give chloe a redemption arc train i think she rlly could have one n i think it would b rlly cool n i’ve been reading a lot of posts abt ml n such n  like,,,, shes regressing rn shes almost worse than before but, theres still a few more seasons so like, we still could get a redemption arc. i mean thinking abt the most icon redemption arc of zuko in atla like there was a point where we thought he was gonna be a good guy and then he betrayed them in ba sing se and then later on actually joined them but not even for a full season. so like what if we have something similar w chloe? i’m not saying it will be well done or anything and also idk much abt thomas n shit but i think potentially this is her getting worse  before it gets better? like she made this big mistake of working w hawk moth bc she wanted a miraculous so badly, but like she was showing potential to be a better person we know shes capable of it, and this thing w adrien is like one of the final pushes i think. she’s going to have to reevaluate her behavior and decide to become a better person but i think she is capable of it in her own chloe way. idk im hopeful, and if she does end up just being turned into evil little rich girl i will simply ignore it and live in my world where she has a redemption arc LMAO

[Image Description: The boardroom meeting meme, with the boss asking "So, what do we do with Chloe after s3?" The first person on the left suggests "Replace her" while the next persons suggests "Ignore her." The last person suggests "Continue developing her because redemption is non-linear" The boss gets mad, but the big brain guy (the last person) is unrepentant. Boss throws the guy out the window. End ID]

Okay I know this can never happen because Canon Chloe will probably never have a redemption arc and almost everybody hates her guts
But just imagine her and Marc bonding over makeup
For example—
Chloe: Hey Marc, do you have any makeup tips for me?
Marc, with 100% seriousness: Brows. Lashes. Lips. Frame the face. It’s simple. It’s five minutes.

this is a Christmas gift for my friend Mercury.
i really like the concept of a redeemed chloe and a change in her design, like, she is not a spoiled princess anymore, but a real queen that will do anything to protect the hive.

I remember I stopped watching miraculous because of that bs in season 3 i think¿¿ where they like teased a chloe redemption arc. I was like a #1 Chloe hater too but even I could recognize the show fumbled the ball with that one. They were deadass so sick for that

Thoughts on Chloe
Canon!Chloe is a bully, is selfish, and her mother is absolutely horrible to her; she needs better parental figures.
I am a huge fan of redeemed!Chloe in stories. I feel that season 2 and early season 3!Chloe could have been redeemed, but at this point its clear that it's not going to happen, I don't think it will work with how she treats others in season 4, and she probably has many years ahead of her before she can be at a point for major reflection. Redeemed!Chloe is merely fanon at this point and I accept that.
However fanon is awesome and I will forever love redeemed!Chloe when reading fics. Give me Chloe and Adrien having sibling dynamics, give me redeemed Chlogami and Chlobrina. Give me Chloe trying to be nice to Marinette solely because Adrien is dating her. Give me Queen Bee trying to be a better hero and becoming a permanent part of the team.

What if...
The only reason Chloe hates Lila is because she’s a liar.
That’s it.
I know in canon there are reasons outside of that for Chloe’s dislike towards Lila, but let’s ignore that for now and say it’s only because she lies. Not because she’s manipulative, not because she hurts the people around her, not even because she’s close to Adrien. But because she’s a liar.
And she’s good at it.
Over the years Chloe notices how much Adrien dislikes dishonesty and develops the same way of thinking. So when this stuck-up, good for nothing, manipulative, lying brat comes up and starts telling fantastical tales of her saving Jagged Stone’s cat, and doing charity work in Achu, and being best friends with Ladybug???
Chloe. Is. Livid.
Because how dare someone come in her territory and try to knock her off of her pedestal that she worked so hard to build. And how could her classmates possibly be so stupid? Wasn’t it obvious that she was lying her way into their circle? How could everyone just fall into her trap? Just believe her see-through lies? Everyone but...
Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Cut to Chloe, Marinette, and Adrien forming an alliance and waiting for Lila’s tower of lies to crumble.

You still hold out hope for a canonical Chloe redemption. Though considerably less hope that it will be well-executed.
You are 100% correct, I want a Chloé redemption and I have no faith that the writers can actually do it

Chloe as Chat Noir!
Inspired by an AU idea I’ve got where Chloe gets the cat miraculous. Although she admires and gets along with Marinette as superheroes, she still starts the story off as a bully at school. Throughout the course of the story, her relationship with Ladybug sparks the character development that she needs to become a true hero of Paris!

You know what's utterly ridiculous? The fact that Chloe can just reject Hawkmoth whenever she wants. She's just that stubborn.
