Penguins on Parade show made by Sally Corporation. This show is located in the Emperor Penguin All Day Dining restaurant in Chimelong Penguin Hotel.

Here’s some info on the show (x)   

The two 8 1/2 minute happy, flipper-flappin', light-hearted musical revues are sure to delight and entertain people of all ages! The show is performed by 16 life-size animatronic penguins on a fanciful stage of sparkling, glistening ice nestled in the corner of the Emperor Penguin restaurant in Chimelong’s all new Penguin Hotel.

The featured penguin characters hail from many faraway lands. Straight from Antarctica is MC Peng, our emperor penguin master of ceremonies; Miss Isabelle, the lovely, silver-voiced ingénue is from New Zealand; Madame Wobbles, the grand diva gentoo penguin, and her partner Sir Auk, a bird-brained, pompous baritone macaroni penguin, are both from the Falkland Islands; and last but not least is Little Blue, a cute, young, energetic and ambitious little blue penguin is from Australia… and he wants to be a star!

My parents, 3rd aunt+uncle and 5th aunt+uncle went to Zhuhai and Macau for two days and a night.

It’s such a funny experience to get to Zuhai - had to use my HK resident card and Canadian passport with my Chinese visa about 7 times between the three cities 😂. Still, it was really easy to get to each place, which is good.

Our two activities in Zuhai were Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and a variety/circus show at night. I’d never even heard of Chimelong before we went, but the park actually holds a few Guinness World Records, including one for the world’s largest aquarium and the largest aquarium wall 🤓. Lots of animals and a couple of shows (both animal and non-animal) to mixed feelings. I felt like some of the enclosures were way too small - eg the polar bears - but who knows, maybe they wouldn’t be able to survive in the wild for whatever reason and this is actually a better option.

We stayed the night in a very neat Penguin Hotel (as you might guess, everything is penguin themed in the hotel!) before heading to Macau the next day. Unfortunately I got a mix of food poisoning and allergic reaction to the horses from the circus and puked up my guts that night - to the point where I burst blood vessels around my eyes... another new experience! 😂 Still, an outing with family is always a good outing!

Best part of Macau was the lunch buffet at Wynn Palace - you can see how pretty it is from the last picture!

(7.5.22) Thank you for the spontaneous surprise trip to Zhuhai/Chimelong Ocean Kingdom!
