i wanted to join in on saying thank you. i was raised almost entirely gentile, the most "jewish" things my family did was set a menorah near the christmas tree (unlit,) give us dreidels and gelt in our christmas stockings and, instead of a christmas ham, we had fish. i've struggled for a long time on whether i can really call myself jewish at all and seeing other people call themselves jewish with similar situations makes me feel a lot better and a lot more valid as a jew. so thank you

Jewish identity is certainly complicated and there are a lot of forces out there that make many Jews question the validity of their identity. You are hardly alone in that. It’s your decision how much you wish to engage with your Jewishness, but there are many of us out there who are happy to support you on that journey.

okay so this isn't a headcannon or anything but today i realized that Bobs Burgers is basically the only show i know of that has a really strong bond between a mother and son (Gene and Linda) without falling into the "Momma's Boy" trope and that made me so happy because that trope is awful
