Childhood Week 1 - Precious

Who didn’t have a precious collection of special rocks as a kid? I’m already behind a day but I’m determined to catch up again.

My two little brothers and I loved to go on long walks into the unknown. We just followed a single road and mapped all the curious things we found on the way. 🗺️ Our longest hike was more than two hours, and we found huge pipes leading somewhere deep into the forest. We never found out where… The scariest part, we never told our parents where we were going 😱🤯Times have changed . Have you guys watched Tremors? I recently watched it again and remembered how much I loved it as a child and how we would always play this game where we're not allowed to touch the floor haha

#childhoodweek no.7: • SPACE • 💫✨⭐️ As a child I always was fascinated by the stars and universe, and just to imagine that we are surrounded by endless space was and still is a crazy thought!! We had this little celestial globe with a map of stars and constellations that was flowing with a lamp inside and it always felt like the most magical item! 🌟 I am super late, but because of work and health I took the childhoodweek challenge this year in my own speed. And it was good to keep the fun of this art challenge and end it with my star catcher character. I also will enjoy now my vacations and recharge my creative batteries a bit . Day 3 - Mission - drawing time lapse When I could not sleep as a kid I used to pretend that I and Eeyore where walking around in art galleries, we viewed art of all kinds existing and not existing. I thought it was really cool to imagine this, but sometimes it got a little boring and I pretend that we had to not be seen by a T-Rex 🦖, sometimes the gallery was in ruins and we had to pretend to hide, I used to hold my duvet up the wall and when it fell over me I had to be still to not being noticed. Childhood week! I just saw about it yesterday. So since I haven’t planned ahead I won’t be doing the prompts in order m(_ _)m I’ll just draw whatever comes to mind of my childhood memories while thinking about them, calmly and no stress😅 Day 1: Fly We as children dreamed to fly like superheroes do. But when I thought about the word “fly”, the first memory that popped out of my head was that of my pet fly(or atleast I thought it was my pet). We weren’t allowed to keep pets in the house for economic reasons. But one day this giant fly came to my room and flew on top of my hand. At the time I wasn’t still scared of insects, but remember it had a beautiful iridescent green color and I was so fascinated by it. I carefully stayed still on my desk for it not to go away. I pretended that it was giving me kisses with it’s proboscis(is that what you call it’s mouth?) even though in reality it is tasting it’s surroundings. I stared at it for a long time until I fell asleep. Of coarse when I woke up it was already gone. Childhood week day 5: Forest! My scout group organized a camping trip, and I wasn't too stoked about it at first, but it turned out to be super fun. When it got dark, we looked up at the sky and were amazed by how clear the stars were, just an hour outside of the city. Thinking back, scouts was such a nice experience. It was a specific group for Chinese-Canadian kids. #childhoodweek day 4: •SHINY• 💫⭐️✨ Who didn’t wanted to encounter a shooting star once? I always was fascinated by all natural shiny phenomenons like rainbows, thunder or shorting stars! And since there was this funny tales of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow I wondered what would happen if you catch a shooting star?
