Wanda is holding Y/N’s hand as the two of them, and Natasha, wait for the elevator in the Avengers Tower’s lobby. “Are you excited, honey?” She squeezes Y/N’s hand, glancing down at her with a smile.
The teen nods, keeping her eyes on the numbers on top of the elevator.
She isn’t necessarily excited, but she isn’t displeased by it either. She has wanted to meet her parents’ families for a while now, but there has always been a question whether or not she is capable of meeting them.
Natasha and Wanda are used to Y/N’s nonverbal answers by now. She didn’t talk to them at all for the first few weeks, which made them worried something was wrong, but soon enough they figured out that the girl is just incredibly nervous around people. Nowadays she is comfortable enough to talk to them, though the two adults are still more talkative compared to her.
The elevator lets out a ding once it reaches the ground floor, its doors opening.
The trio steps inside and Natasha presses the button for the right floor. “We made sure that only few team members are there, okay?” She moves to Y/N’s other side, setting her hand onto her shoulder.
Y/N looks up at her mom, giving her a small smile. A lot of people in her life, before getting adopted by Natasha and Wanda, thought her minimal expressions were rude. But the two ex-Avengers never faulted her for them, they’ve always known she’s still being genuine.
As the elevator goes up the floors, the nerves in Y/N start to rise. She tightens her hold on Wanda’s hand, the feel of it bringing her some sense of comfort.
The ride to the 91st floor is over fairly quick.
The elevator doors open once again, the quiet chatter of the few team members present audible though they are not yet visible.
The trio walk out of the elevator, Y/N’s steps slightly slower now that the presence of unknown people is clear. She stays close to Wanda as they walk towards the living room, practically glued to her side.
“Hi everyone.” Kate, Steve, and Pietro turn to look at the three of them when Wanda speaks. “This is Y/N,” she brings her forward, “our daughter. And these are some of our teammates.” She glances at Y/N as she gestures at the three Avengers on the couches, naming them all individually.
Y/N doesn’t look at them directly, rather having her gaze on the back of one of the couches. Her body is tense, she can feel all of them staring at her.
“Just a teammate?” Pietro scoffs, standing up with a grin. “I’m her uncle, sister, give some respect to my title.”
Wanda rolls her eyes. “Yes, yes, that’s your uncle Pietro.” She mumbles to Y/N, standing behind her with her hands on her shoulders.
The playful annoyance in her mother’s voice makes a small smile appear on Y/N’s face. However, it quickly disappears when the attention completely shifts to her.
“How old are you, kid?”
Though Steve’s voice is calm—a reason why Wanda and Natasha wanted him to be one of the first ones to meet her—Y/N still felt incredibly anxious. She continues staring at the couch, her hands fidgeting behind her back as she stays quiet.
“She’s 14.” Natasha speaks up soon after, knowing her daughter wouldn’t be speaking.
Steve glances at Natasha, nodding with a small smile. "So, how is school then? What grade are you in?"
"Can you be any more of an old man." Kate mumbles, snickering with Pietro. "What movie do you like? Or are you more into series?"
"Do you like video games? Me, Kate, and you could play some mario Kart." Pietro joins to the questioning.
Y/N's eyes widen as she listens to the onslaught of questions from her mothers' teammates. Her heart starts hammering in her chest, the thumping of it almost deafening in her ears. She starts breathing heavier, faster, deperately trying to reign it in, she doesn't want these people to see her like that. She tries to open your mouth to answer, to answer at least one of the questions, but it's almost like her body is frozen.
"She likes both, current favorite is...Fallout series, if I remember correctly." Wanda answers, her voice muffled in Y/N's ears. "Video games too, she actually got us both into Stardew Valley." She laughs, bumping her shoulder gently against Natasha's.
"Sister, please." Pietro groans, stepping closer to the three of them, his eyes on Y/N. "Let the kid answer some of the questions too. What else do you like to do?"
Her hands start to tremble at the attention on her, a cold sweat starting to appear on her skin. Y/N clears her throat, though she isn't sure if any sounds even leaves her. She feels her mind going further and further away, her thoughts not making sense anymore. She swallows onece, twice, her throat starts to feel smaller.
"Would you give us a moment." She can hear Natasha's muffled voice as a hand takes hold of her arm, pulling her into the corridor and away from the people. She can see the mix of worry and confusion in the other teammates' faces at a glance.
Natasha and Wanda pull their daughter into their old bedroom, gently pushing her to sit on the bed. "Sweetheart," the latter whispers, "you are okay. Take some deep breaths for me." Shaky breaths leave Y/N's mouth. She holds onto Wanda's hand tightly while leaning against Natasha, their proximity bringing her comfort.
It takes her a while, but she manages to calm herself down before a full blown panic attack happens.
"You're okay, nothing's going to get you." Natasha whispers, her hand rubbing Y/N's back. "We can stay here, just the three of us. There's no hurry to go back or meet anyone else."
Y/N leans her head against Natasha's shoulder. Wanda taps her chin softly, making her move her gaze to her face. "You did so well in there, you hear me? Don't let this pull you down, my darling."
Although, she doesn't fully believe her mother's words, Y/N nods and musters up a tiny smile for her. A sense of disappointment does fill her for being unable to talk to the people her mothers are close to, but she tries to remember their words. It's not her fault, and every social interaction is a victory, no matter how small.
"How about we stay the night here, yeah?" Natasha wraps one arm around Y/N and the other grabs Wanda's arm, pulling them both down to lie down on the bed. "We'll stay here all night and only go out when we need to eat."
Wanda laughs as she gets pulled on top of Natasha. "Sounds wonderful, baby."
A small smile grows on Y/N's face as she listens to her mothers laugh. She cuddles up to them, happy to stay in the Avengers Tower as long as they stay in the bedroom.

winterwidows daughter having a full blown argument with Tony bcs only Tony would argue with a 3 year old
Toddler Showdown
WinterWidow x Daughter!Reader
Summary: You get into a fight with your Uncle Tony
———
The storm raged outside of the Avengers Tower, Tony and Y/N sat on the floor of the Avengers Lounge, drawing pictures and chatting. It didn’t take long for an argument to break out.
You stood her ground, hands on your hips, glaring up at Tony with all the determination you could muster. "No, Uncle Tony! I want the red crayon, not the blue one!" you declared, your tiny voice carrying surprising authority.
Tony raised an eyebrow, amused yet undeterred by the pint-sized challenger before him. "Well, Y/N, you see, the thing is, the blue crayon matches your eyes much better," he countered, his trademark smirk playing on his lips.
You scrunched up her face, unimpressed. "I don't care about my eyes, Mr. Fancy Pants. I want the red one!" you insisted with a yell, your tone dripping with sass.
Tony sighed, leaning down to your level and speaking with an irritated down. "Listen, kid, I've got a whole collection of Stark Industries crayons here, and trust me, the red one is so last season. You're better off with the blue. It's more... avant-garde."
You narrowed your eyes, unyielding. "Stop using big words, Uncle Tony! No one cares about your avo-garden!" you retorted, an annoyed and angry glint dancing in your eyes.
Tony shook his head, his huffing blending with the amused chuckles of nearby Avengers who had gathered to witness the spectacle. "Hey Y/N, that’s not nice, you can’t speak to me that way. I’m older and you are three therefore, you listen to me," he said in a tone that said he was done with the situation, he started taking her the red crayon with a gentle tug. "Mark my words, one day you'll appreciate the finer things in life."
You snatched back the crayon with a victorious grin, your triumph was evident on your face and proudly displayed as you showed your prize to your parents, who watched with equal parts amusement and pride.
Natasha and Bucky exchanged amused glances, impressed at their daughter's feisty spirit. "Looks like she takes after both of us," Natasha remarked, her eyes twinkling with affection.
Bucky chuckled and knelt down to your level. "Did you take that from Uncle Tony?" he asked nodding towards Tony, who was now standing up, shaking his head and crossing his arms.
You nodded your head with a proud smile. “Yes, Daddy! I got the red!” You cheered with an excitement only a toddler could have about a crayon.
You ran back over to Tony and stuck your tongue out at him. “I got the reddd! I got the reddd!” You said in a teasing voice and giggled as you sat back down at the table.
However, the arguments were far from over as you both engaged in a lively debate about the merits of finger painting versus crayon drawing.
As the argument raged on, Natasha and Bucky couldn't smirk from their spot on the couch, they knew it was just harmless arguments that wouldn’t affect each other's bond but they couldn’t help but admit they were always amusing to watch.

We're a Family
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Natasha are taking your first vacation since the birth of your 5-year-old daughter. While you and Natasha are off on a romantic getaway to Paris for your anniversary, how will your Avengers family handle watching your daughter for the weekend?
Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Genre: Fluff, Comfort, Romance
Word Count: 4.3k
Warnings: Some mentions of grief.
A/N: Thank you so much for the positive feedback on Come Home to Me! I hope to keep writing as I feel inspired and have time. This story takes place after the events of Endgame. Tony survived defeating Thanos with the Snap, and Steve brought Natasha back after returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Natasha questioned for the third time that Friday morning as you gathered the last essentials for your 5-year-old daughter to take to the Avengers Compound. You and Nat were taking your first vacation together since your child's birth in celebration of your wedding anniversary. Understandably, your wife was struggling with the idea of leaving your daughter. It was all you could do to convince Natasha to drop her off at preschool, let alone leave her overnight.
“Love, we’ve talked about this. It’s only for the weekend. Mila is going to have a great time. Besides, there is nowhere safer for her than surrounded by Avengers. You trust them with your life”, you remind her reassuringly as you rub gentle circles on her back.
“Exactly. My life, not my child,” Nat muttered.
It had been five years since you gave birth to your and Natasha’s daughter. Your whole world changed from the moment you both laid eyes on her. Soon after, Nat transitioned into semi-retirement with guidance from Clint. She was still available for consultation and recruit training or if the situation was dire, but you and Mila are her number one priority now.
You heard little feet padding down the hall as your daughter entered your bedroom. Her red curls bounced up and down on her head. “I'm ready, Mommy and Mama!” Mila squealed.
“Oh, Moya Lyubov, you look so pretty! Did you dress yourself this morning?” Natasha asked, getting down to her level.
“Yes! I wanted to match Auntie Yelena!” as she showed off her mini black vest that Yelena made her for her last birthday, worn expertly over her pink tutu.
“Auntie Yelena is going to love it, sweetheart. You’re going to have so much fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,” hugging her tight.
After packing your luggage in the car, you drive to the compound. FRIDAY greets you as you exit the main elevator. “Good morning, Ms. Romanoff, Ms. Y/L/N.” The team is awaiting your arrival in the common room.”
“Thank you, FRIDAY,” you replied as Mila let go of Natasha’s hand and ran ahead of both of you, having been here several times already in her young life.
As you enter the room, you see Wanda and Vision in the kitchen, and the smell of freshly baked cookies wafts through the air. Peter and Kate are playing video games, Bucky and Sam are playing cards with Clint, and Steve is quietly reading Moby Dick.
“Little spider!” Yelena called out as she entered the room, and Mila ran into her arms.
“Auntie Yelena! Do you like my outfit? I got dressed all by myself!”
“I love it, malayshka. It's so much cooler than Mama’s outfit,” Yelena says as she side-eyes her older sister with a smile. “We are going to have so much fun this weekend.”
“Yeah, about that,” Natasha interrupted. “Mission briefing in five.”
Mission briefing?" you asked, confused. "Love, we're going on vacation, not a stakeout.”
“Yes, but they have the most important mission of all, watching our daughter,” motioning to the group before you.
Your heart warms at how protective your wife was—the Black Widow. She was a woman who would run into a collapsing building or intercept an alien invasion without batting an eye, but the moment she became a mother, everything changed. She vowed to give Mila everything she never had as a child. To break the cycle of uncertainty and pain that the Red Room forced upon her. Truthfully, you were so proud of how far Natasha had come. From growing up believing love was for children to giving nothing but love to both of you.
Just then, Tony and Bruce entered the living room, arguing over their latest nanotech calculations, with Pepper following closely behind.
“Hey, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, park it,” Natasha declared.
“Ah, Rushman, wonderful to see you as always,” Tony says, winking at Nat. She rolled her eyes in response as Tony and Bruce hugged you before sitting down, and Pepper picked up your daughter.
“Come on sweetie, do you want to go play with Morgan?” Pepper asked.
“Yay!” Mila cheered as they walk down the hall to Morgan’s room.
“Okay, here are some quick dos and don’ts for this weekend. No guns, no repulsor rays, no arrows, and no using our daughter as a beta test subject for any new experiments. When Thor gets here, no Asgardian beverages in front of our child. Mila’s bedtime is 7 pm, and she likes it if you do the characters' voices when you read her bedtime story. If she has trouble falling asleep, a lullaby usually does the trick. Got it?”
“Geez, this is almost as bad as Budapest,” Clint whispered to Kate.
“It’s going to be alright, Natasha,” Wanda reassured. “We’re a family. You know we would do anything for that little girl. Please, go and enjoy your anniversary. No one deserves some special alone time more than you two”, Wanda says as she hands you a tin of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for the trip.
You put your arm around Natasha and kiss her cheek. “Wanda is right, my love. Mila will be fine.”
Just as you complete the sentence, Mila runs back into the room. “Mommy, Mama! Morgan has Puss and Boots: The Last Wish, and we will watch it tonight before bedtime.”
“That sounds like so much fun, sweetheart! I know you will be a good girl for your aunts and uncles, and Mommy and Mama will see you on Sunday night, okay? We love you so much.” you said.
“Okay, Mommy. I love you!” She said as she hugged you so tight. Natasha knelt to kiss your daughter on the cheek and squeezed her hand three times. Their unique way of saying I love you. After one last hug and kiss, you walk to the Quinjet. Tony had offered one for easy and convenient travel.
*^~^*
By the time you arrive at your hotel in Paris, it’s almost dinner time. After sightseeing, you two enjoyed a gourmet candlelit dinner under the Parisian moon and a romantic stroll under the stars. When you returned to your room, you received a text message from Clint with a photo of your daughter asleep on her bed—lovingly cuddled under a blanket with Yelena.
“See, she’s okay,” you said lovingly as Natasha smiled at the picture of her little girl and her little sister.
As you lay in bed that night, you feel more grateful than ever to be here with the love of your life. Both of you had learned firsthand to never take anything for granted.
You were one of the lost souls left behind after the Blip. Struggling with the loss of your loved ones, you began attending Steve’s Brooklyn Support Group once a week. It was after one of those meetings that you were first introduced to the Black Widow.
Natasha hesitated at first to let anyone in. She was too scared to lose anyone else and was convinced that nothing should take away from her commitment to bring everyone back. However, she still found any excuse to attend Steve’s meetings. Whether that was to bring homemade peanut butter sandwiches for the snack table or shyly offering to give you a ride home.
You weren’t a hero or a super soldier. You didn’t remind Natasha of the guilt she carried over the last five years as the fallout from the Blip continued. You were just yourself, which Natasha loved the most about you. You began to visit her at the compound, and slowly but surely, the walls came down for both of you.
When she told you about the Time Heist, you didn’t want to hear it. You couldn’t comprehend the thought of losing Natasha, but you knew she believed in her heart that she owed it to everyone they had lost to try. When Clint returned from Vormir alone and dropped to his knees, so did you. Grief overtook you all over again.
As the Battle for Earth became inevitable, the team hid you in a safe house off the grid. Days went by and you lost track of time, stuck in your grief and unaware of what was happening. It wasn't until a knock on your door awoke you in the middle of the night that you dropped to your knees again. This time in shock at the sight of Natasha on your doorstep. Tears streaming down her face, she told you they had won. Tony defeated Thanos with the Snap, and Steve performed a miracle by bringing her back upon returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.
So much life has happened since then. You were married in a beautiful autumnal ceremony shortly after Nat returned and bought your house. Five years ago and twelve hours of labor later, you welcomed your daughter into the world that your wife sacrificed herself to save. You couldn’t believe how much you loved them both. Returning to the present moment, you gently move a strand of Natasha’s unbraided red hair away from her face. Her hands move effortlessly to the nape of your neck, and you lose yourself in her touch.
*^~^*
It’s Saturday morning back at the compound, and Mila is eating blueberry pancakes when Clint strolled in from his morning workout.
“Hey, squirt! Those pancakes look amazing. Did Auntie Wanda make those?” he asked, reaching for the extra plate of pancakes on the counter.
Before Mila can respond, the plate glides quickly away from him, enveloped in Wanda’s red magic. “Auntie Wanda did make those, but they’re only for adorable little girls named Mila. Is your name Mila?” Wanda said to Clint with a raised eyebrow.
“No,” Clint grumbled.
“Then make your breakfast, Hawkeye,” Wanda sighed, patting him on the back.
After breakfast, Sam and Bucky take Mila outside to play. Meanwhile, Steve is working on a mission report in his room when FRIDAY interrupts his concentration. “Mr. Rogers, I’m picking up an elevated heat signature from your shield just north of your location.” Steve looked curiously out the window to see Mila giggling as she slid across the grass. She is sitting on his overturned shield, pulled by a rope tied to the back of Red Wing.
“My shield is not a toy!” Steve yelled out the window.
“Oh, hey, Cap! It does make a great sled, doesn’t it?” Bucky answered, pretending not to hear what his best friend said, as Sam laughed out loud.
Steve shakes his head to hide his smile. You meant the world to him, having spent countless hours processing your grief together in that dark and dank recreation room in Brooklyn. He was honored when you and Natasha asked him to be Mila’s godfather. His shield was made from Vibranium, after all. If his goddaughter wanted to play with it, he knew no harm would be done.
That afternoon, Peter arrived at the compound to work on his newest suit upgrade with Tony. Mila is engrossed in coloring at the kitchen table with Auntie Kate when Peter walks in to get a soda.
“Hey Mila, what are you up to?”
“Coloring, do you want to help us?” Mila asked happily.
Peter nodded, and they got lost in her Disney Princess coloring book for the next twenty minutes. After adding pretty sparkles to Elsa’s Frozen dress, Mila noticed Peter’s Spider-Man suit sticking out of his bag.
“Pretty!” Mila said with wide eyes.
“You like it?” Peter asked.
“Yes, is this how you fly? Mama says you can fly!” Mila exclaimed.
“Something like that,” Peter chuckled and tousled her hair.
Down in the lab, Tony had been waiting for Peter to arrive for half an hour. Unusual, as his protege was typically annoyingly punctual. Running out of patience, Tony asks FRIDAY for Peter’s current location.
“Mr. Parker is in the kitchen with Ms. Bishop and the young Ms. Romanoff, sir.” Tony rolls his eyes as he trudged up the stairs.
“Hey Hawkette, have you seen Peter? He was supposed to — “
Tony stops as he sees Peter swinging from the ceiling with Mila on his back. Kate was too busy filming the spectacle on her phone to notice Tony standing there.
“Wee!! Faster, Uncle Peter!” Mila shouted as Peter’s web carried them across the room to the top of the bookcase.
Tony’s eyes follow the pair around the room. He put on his best poker face, “I won’t tell Romanoff or her better half, but if you break it, you pay for it. That includes the kid.” Tony warned.
“Sure thing, Mr. Stark,” Peter gives Tony a thumbs up.
“And for God’s sake, at least put some pillows down on the floor!” Tony hollered as he walked back to his lab.
*^~^*
You and Natasha took a Saturday evening cruise down the Seine River in the city of love. It was magical. When your phone alerted you to an incoming FaceTime from Carol, you had seen the Musée d’Orsay the Notre Dame Cathedral and had just reached the top of the Eiffel Tower. You swiped, her face appearing on the screen.
“Hey, you two, I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to be on Earth-616 tomorrow for a meeting with Fury and thought I’d drop in on my favorite couple. Wait, where are you?”
“Paris, for our anniversary! Our first vacation alone in over five years. Can you believe it?” you said giddily as Natasha put her arms around your waist and lovingly kissed your cheek.
“Wow, that’s wonderful! Where’s your little mini-me?” Carol asked.
“With the team if you’re going there anyway, could you just make sure that everything is good with Mila?” Natasha inquired.
“Of course. You know you never have to ask.”
“Thank you, Carol,” you gratefully respond. We’ll be back tomorrow evening, so I’m sure we’ll see you then.” Carol gave you a mock salute before you ended the call and put your phone back in your coat pocket.
“You look so beautiful, dorogaya. After all this time, I still can't believe you’re mine.” Nat waxed poetically as she removed her scarf and wrapped it around your neck. Natasha could not look more beautiful in the glow of the Eiffel Tower. You decided this is the perfect moment to give her your anniversary gift. You slowly hand her the red velvet box you had snuck into your satchel. Her green eyes went wide at the sight of it.
“Detka! We said no gifts this year. This trip is gift enough,” Nat facetiously scolded.
“I know, but I still wanted to do something special for you,” you said sheepishly.
Natasha opens the box, revealing a simple, delicate gold heart locket necklace. Upon opening the pendant, she is greeted by a candid photo of all three of you. Clint took one during your last visit with his family in Iowa. Nat was sitting on Clint’s front porch with a smiling Mila on her lap. You are leaning behind her with your arms wrapped lovingly around her neck. It quickly became one of your favorite photos of your small yet precious family.
“This is so beautiful, Moya Lyubov. Can you put it on me?”
You moved Natasha’s braid away from her neck and clasped the necklace in the back. The heart locket fell directly on top of her own heart. It looked perfect on her. You're not sure who leaned in first, but your lips met in a kiss that made your stomach flutter like it was the first time. You couldn’t be happier than you were at that moment.
*^~^*
The Sunday morning sun was slowly breaking through the compound windows. Yelena was pouring your daughter a bowl of Cheerios and singing along to the sound of American Pie from her phone when The God of Thunder entered through the Bifrost. Mila jumped and started to hide behind her Auntie Yelena but ran toward him when she realized only her Uncle Thor was materializing before them, leaving his trademark on Pepper’s Persian rug.
“Must you do that every time? You’re becoming more of a poser than my sister.” Yelena remarked.
“Of course,” Thor said nonchalantly. “It is the only entrance fit for the God of Thunder.”
He lifted Mila with one arm, “Odin’s Beard! You’ve gotten so big since I last saw you, Mila,” Thor declared
“I know! Did you bring me a present Uncle Thor?” Mila squealed.
“Yes! Now, let’s see here… Asgardian Ale, Mead, no… ah, here it is!” He handed the little girl a small snow globe set in gold with her name engraved elegantly on the base.
“Wow. Pretty snow globe….” Mila whispered.
“It is indeed,” Thor said, sitting cross-legged on the carpet before the little girl. “This is a special Asgardian snow globe. Look, see the rainbow bridge inside it?” He pointed. “Most importantly, Lady Mila, if you shake it, I shall be there in a flash. If ever you need me, I will be there.”
“Thank you, Uncle Thor!” Mila said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. I’m going to show it to my Teddy Bear!” Running to her bedroom.
“You spoil her, you know,” Yelena stated with a smirk, as she began to clean up the kitchen.
“I know, but she is such a grand example of goodness and joy in such a tiny human. She deserves the world.” Thor declared.
Carol arrived shortly after lunch. After a short meeting with Fury in the conference room regarding upcoming mission targets, she finds your daughter in the compound courtyard. She is wearing her vest to match her favorite auntie as Yelena demonstrates the newest tricks Fanny has learned.
“Roll over! Good girl, Fanny!” Yelena praised the dog. Mila takes a treat out of her vest pockets with her tiny hand and tosses it to the Akita.
“Well done, Mila! Before you go home tonight, I will show you what else you can hide inside those pockets,” winking at her niece.
“Fruits and veggies, right, Yelena?” Carol deadpanned as Mila ran over and jumped into Captain Marvel’s arms.
“Auntie Carol! When did you get here?” Your daughter giggled.
“Just a little bit ago. I talked to your Mommy and Mama last night. They miss you and can’t wait to see you when they get home tonight,” Carol shared before kissing your daughter on the cheek.
*^~^*
As the sun started to sink on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the ancient city of Paris, you found yourself immersed in the rich history of the Louvre museum. You had eagerly anticipated this moment, and after spending the afternoon exploring the countless treasures within the museum's walls, Natasha was determined to ensure you had the chance to lay eyes on the iconic Mona Lisa. As you weaved your way through the bustling crowd of tourists, Natasha's determined presence caused a path to effortlessly clear before you as she kindly asked them to move the fuck over.
You returned to your hotel and enjoyed a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries when Natasha’s phone dinged.
Carol: Hey, lovebirds. It's all good here. Mila is doing great and excited to see you when you return. However, you may want to check her vest pockets when you get home for some “special” presents courtesy of Auntie Yelena. 😘
Natasha giggled, showing you the text.
“The important thing is that they’re bonding,” placing a delicate kiss on her temple.
Following Wanda’s delicious Chicken Paprikash dinner, your daughter watched Frozen II. Vision attempted to explain the science behind snowflakes to her when Tony strolled into the lounge.
“Hey, kiddo, do you want to come to the lab with me and see the new suit modifications that the Jolly Green Giant and I are working on?”
“Yay!” Mila said excitedly, jumping up and down.
“Sir, Ms. Romanoff indicated there was to be no experimenting with young Ms. Mila while she is in our care.”
“Relax, chrome dome. We’re just looking at the new holographic mockup.” Picking up Mila and carried her to his lab.
*^~^*
After a few hours, Natasha gracefully guided the Quinjet to a smooth landing. As the engines powered down, she took a deep breath and gently reached across the console to grasp your hand. Together, you gazed out at the glittering lights of the team living quarters in the distance.
"Thank you for making our anniversary so wonderful," you said. "I love you so much. I know it was tough for you to leave Mila for three days, but not only did we have a beautiful anniversary, but our daughter got to spend meaningful time with her family, which she will always remember." You pressed a kiss to her knuckles as Natasha caressed your cheek.
You were right, dorogaya. This was perfect. I’m sorry I was so nervous about leaving her. I just never thought I would have my happily ever after. That little girl and you are my everything. It breaks my heart every time I leave either one of you.
“I know, my love,” you said quietly. “Now, let’s go get our daughter and go home.”
As you entered the compound, the air was filled with shouting and the excited barking of Fanny and Lucky. Natasha instinctively reached for her spare Widow Bites, but before she could react, both of you heard the unmistakable sound of your daughter's laughter. Following the noise, you entered the common room to find your daughter joyfully running through the compound. She was wearing her pajamas and had one of Tony’s Iron Man helmets perched on her head while clutching a can of whipped cream. Yelena and the rest of the team were in hot pursuit, with puffs of whipped cream trailing behind her as she raced through the room.
Kate skidded to a stop in front of both of you. “Oh, you guys are back. Awesome! Umm, we made ice cream sundaes for dessert. Mila enjoyed hers, as you can see”, Kate motioned, breathing heavily.
Mila took her last lap around the couch when she caught sight of you and Natasha.
“Mommy, Mama! You’re here!!” she squealed, running into Natasha’s arms.
“Hi, Moya Lyubov, we missed you so much!!” Natasha said as she wrapped Mila in a big hug before passing her to you to do the same.
“It looks like you had fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,” removing the helmet and brush a red curl away from her eyes.
“I had so much fun, Mommy! I got to eat yummy food, ride a sled, fly, and Auntie Yelena helped me hide special treasures in my vest pockets. Oh, and I got a magic snow globe with my name on it!” Your daughter rambled happily.
Natasha looked at you slightly skeptical, wondering if your sweet little girl was exaggerating. With your family, you were never quite sure.
“Wow, that sounds amazing, kotyonok!” Are you ready to go home now?” Nat asked as Mila gives you her best puppy dog eyes.
“It’s okay sweetheart, we’ll come back and see everyone next weekend. Why don’t you go get your Teddy bear?” you suggested.
“I’ll help her with her things,” Yelena said, scooping up your daughter and walking to her bedroom.
“We can’t thank all of you enough for taking such good care of her. I know she would stay here forever if we let her.” You said as you move through the group hugging every one.
She is always welcome here, you two know that.” Wanda said, confident she was speaking for the entire team.
A short while later, Mila emerged with her unicorn backpack, followed by Yelena, carrying more bags than she had when you dropped her off. You couldn't help but shake your head, knowing the team had showered her with gifts. Natasha crouched down to Mila’s eye level, tenderly placing her hand on her back. “Can you say goodbye and thank you to all of your aunts and uncles, dorogaya?” she asked. Mila made her way around the room, hugging everyone. It warmed Natasha to witness her family showering your daughter with so much love and affection.
Mila drifted off to sleep only five minutes after being placed in her car seat. Upon returning home, Natasha carried her to her bed with the utmost care. She tenderly laid Mila down, ensuring she was tucked in snugly, and then, both of you gently kissed her forehead before quietly slipping out of the room. You decided to postpone the unpacking until the following day, feeling too exhausted from the long journey. In the bedroom, Natasha was sitting in bed, engrossed in a book with her reading glasses perched precariously on the edge of her nose. The day's fatigue faded as you turned off the bathroom light and joined her in bed.
“I couldn’t have asked for a more romantic anniversary, my love,” you admitted as you carefully removed her glasses from her face and gently kissed her lips. “But there is nowhere I would rather be than at home with you and our beautiful daughter.”
“I couldn’t agree more,” Nat said, returning the kiss.
As Natasha drifted into slumber, her mind wandered back to the tumultuous path that had brought her to this moment. She couldn't escape the memories of her past—a life of manipulation in the Red Room with no autonomy and the unending pursuit to cleanse her conscience of the bloodstains it bore. But then came the shot that Clint didn't take and the chance that Fury did. Her deeply unconventional yet cherished family culminated in the arrival of you and your precious daughter. In these precious bonds, Natasha Romanoff found the strength to thrive and, at long last, find peace.

Part 2
Night blanketed the Avengers Compound in an unusual hush, the kind that settled deep in the bones.
To outsiders, it might seem like a tranquil evening, a rare gem in the chaotic lives of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. But to a seasoned sailor, it felt like the eerie calm before a tempest, the kind that hinted at an impending storm.
Natasha and Bucky’s relationship had frayed beyond recognition, tension crackling in the air between them.
So it was no shock when they arrived at the compound one night, both seeking solitude in separate corners, each weighed down by their own burdens.
As they moved through the familiar halls, they hoped that the presence of friends would offer a welcome distraction from their racing thoughts, if only for a little while.
Natasha lay awake in bed that night, just like Bucky in the next room, listening to the soft, rhythmic breaths of little Tanya as she slept peacefully.
The guilt weighed heavily on Natasha, the voices in her head whispering harsh truths, blaming her for what had happened to Y/N.
And deep down, she knew they were right.
Bucky was right. Tanya was right. Their friends were right.
The only one responsible for her daughter’s disappearance was her.
It was deep into the night when Natasha started to surrend to the pull of sleep, her mind tetheering between the reality and the dreams.
It was just then when alarms started ringing, lights flashing heratically to signal that something was happening.
“Alert! Alert!” FRIDAY's voice echoed through the compound "Intruders detected in the west wing. Security systems are compromised." The AI said, providing a detailed update on the situation
Natasha jumped out of bed, shaking her head to wake herself fully, her first reflex was to reach out for Tanya and lift her in her arms.
“Mama...” The sleepy girl whimpered scared, unable to comprehend what was happening around her just yet
“It’s okay, baby.” Natasha breathed out, kissing the top of Tanya’s head
“Tanya!” Bucky shouted over the alarms, bursting inside the room
Natasha watched as Bucky crossed the room in a second, stopping in front of her and Tanya to carress their daughter’s hair.
“Are you okay, baby doll?” Bucky kissed Tanya’s little forehead, ignoring Natasha’s presence
“We need to get her to the safe room, James.” Natasha said, earning a nod from Bucky
From a quick move, Bucky took Tanya into his arms and took off sprinting towards the safe room, Natasha hot on his heels to ensure they aren’t attacked while getting Tanya to safety.
Natasha and Bucky moved fast, faster than they have done in their entire lives.
The urgency of the moment propelled them forward, every step taken with precision and purpose. As they navigated the labyrinthine corridors, Natasha's senses were on high alert, her eyes scanning for any sign of danger. She could hear Tanya's soft whimpers, the only sound she could focus on.
Bucky's grip on Tanya was firm yet gentle, his metallic arm gleaming in the dim light.
He moved with a fluidity that spoke of years of training, his focus entirely on protecting his daughter.
They rounded a corner and came to a heavy steel door embedded in the wall. Bucky placed his hand on the biometric scanner, and after a tense moment, the door slid open with a soft hiss.
They quickly stepped inside, and the door closed behind them, sealing them in the reinforced safe room.
The room was sparsely furnished, designed for functionality over comfort. A small cot was tucked into one corner, and a table with emergency supplies occupied another.
Bucky gently set Tanya down on the cot, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face.
"You're safe now, sweetheart," he murmured, his voice soft but steady. Tanya looked up at him with wide eyes, her fear slowly giving way to trust.
Natasha quickly scanned the room, checking the surveillance monitors mounted on the wall. She watched the feeds, her sharp eyes noting any movement outside their sanctuary.
For the moment, everything appeared calm, but she knew better than to let her guard down.
Natasha turned back to Tanya, her expression softening. She knelt beside the cot, reaching out to hold her daughter's hand. "How are you feeling, honey?"
Tanya's eyes flickered between her parents, her small voice trembling. "I was scared, Mama."
Natasha's heart ached at the vulnerability in her daughter's words. "I know, sweetheart. But we're here now, and we won't let anything happen to you."
"Natasha," Bucky called "We have to go. The others are waiting for us."
Natasha silently nodded before turning back to face Tanya.
"Wait for us here, baby." She planted a kiss on her daughter's forehead "Mama and Papa will soon be back."
And with that, Natasha turned around and started running towards the door, pulling Bucky along by his metal arm.
When Natasha and Bucky exited the safe room, they saw Steve, who was already in is suit, running towards them.
"Tony, Nat, Bucky, with me." Steve yelled, as Tony showed up in his armor. "We'll head to the west wing and deal with the intruders directly. Thor, stay with Tanya and make sure she’s safe. Bruce, get ready to go green if needed. Wanda and Vision, secure the perimeter and look for any additional threats. Clint, get to a vantage point and provide cover."
"FRIDAY, give us a layout of the intruders' positions," Tony commanded.
"Displaying now," FRIDAY responded, projecting a holographic map showing red dots representing the intruders moving through the compound.
"Not as many as we expected." Wanda tilted her head to the side, surprised. "Just... One."
Natasha adjusted her Widow Bites around her wrists glancing at Bucky. "Just like old times, huh?" she said with a smirk, trying to ease the permanent tension in between them.
"Let's hope it's easier than the old times." Bucky sighed, his metal arm glinting under the emergency lights.
The team quickly split up, each heading to their assigned tasks with the precision and efficiency born of countless battles together.
As they moved through the hallways, the sounds of shattering glass and blaring alarms filled the air, creating a chaotic symphony.
Yet, they were too familiar with it.
Captain America lead the group through the dimly lit corridors of the west wing, his shield at the ready.
Meanwhile, Thor stood guard over Tanya, his hammer, Mjolnir, crackling with lightning.
Tanya clung to his side, her eyes wide with fear but trusting in the Asgardian's protection.
"Do not worry, little one," Thor assured her with a smile. "No harm shall come to you while I am here. Uncle Thor will protect you, human baby."
The living room of the Avengers compound was supposed to be a sanctuary, a place where the heroes could unwind. But as the door burst open, the atmosphere shifted from calm to chaos in an instant.
The intruder, a lithe figure cloaked in crackling energy, face masked, stood defiantly in the center, electric arcs dancing around their limbs, as they looked much shorter than they expected at first.
The team took a quick glance towards the unknown intruder, but they knew not to waste too much time.
“Get them!” Steve shouted, his voice cutting through the tension.
He led the charge, shield raised high, flanked by Natasha, Bucky, Clint, and Tony. They had faced countless foes, but something about this one felt different.
The moment they advanced, the intruder unleashed a torrent of electrical bolts. They zipped through the air, illuminating the room with flashes of blue and white.
The team scattered, dodging the deadly projectiles as they ricocheted off the walls, leaving scorch marks in their wake.
“Stay on your toes!” Natasha shouted, her instincts kicking in.
Natasha lunged forward, Widow bites primed and ready, aiming straight for the intruder’s heart.
Suddenly, with a flick of their wrist, the intruder twisted the air around them, redirecting the projectiles back at Natasha.
A jolt of electricity struck her, sending her sprawling across the floor.
Natasha knew her how powerful her Widow Bites are, but the pain she felt had doubled in intensity.
She could only guess that the intruder overcharged her Bites with electricity.
“Nat!” Bucky yelled, moving to cover her.
"I'm good." The red head groaned.
Bucky turned around and charged in, his metal arm poised to deliver a crushing blow.
But the intruder was quick. Quicker than expected.
With a flicker of energy, she sent a surge through his arm, rendering it useless.
Bucky grunted in frustration, trying to shake the numbness away. Yet, he could not.
Clint notched an arrow, his focus razor-sharp. “I’ve got this!” he declared, releasing the arrow.
But the intruder merely raised their hand, and with a casual flick, the arrow transformed mid-flight, exploding into a shower of sparks that lit up the room.
Clint ducked, narrowly avoiding the debris.
“Enough of this!” Steve barked, frustration boiling over.
He threw his shield with precision, aiming to knock the intruder off balance.
The intruder, anticipating his move, charged the vibranium with raw electricity. As it came hurtling back at him, Steve barely had time to brace himself before the shield collided with his chest, sending him stumbling back.
“Tony, we need air support!” Steve shouted, trying to catch his breath.
“On it, Cap!” Tony replied, rocketing into the air.
His suit hummed with energy, weapons primed for action. But as he soared toward the intruder, they focused their gaze on him, their eyes glinting with mischief.
In an instant, they reached out with their mind, hijacking FRIDAY’s systems.
“Tony, watch out!” Natasha warned, but it was too late.
The suit turned against its owner, firing repulsors wildly in every direction. The room erupted in chaos as explosions rocked the space, sending Tony crashing to the ground amidst a plume of smoke and debris.
As the dust began to settle, the Avengers gathered themselves, panting and bruised. They exchanged glances, realizing the magnitude of their predicament. They were outmatched, and the intruder was only getting started.
Just when it seemed all hope was lost, a booming voice echoed through the compound.
“Enough!” Thor descended from above, Mjolnir crackling with energy.
He unleashed a powerful torrent of lightning toward the intruder, channeling his might in a single, devastating strike.
But in a shocking twist, the intruder caught the lightning mid-air, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity.
With a swift motion, they redirected the energy back at Thor, blasting him through the wall with a thunderous crash.
“Thor!” Steve shouted, rushing to his fallen comrade.
The room was filled with the smell of burnt wood and singed air, remnants of the battle swirling in the aftermath.
As the Avengers regrouped, they observed the intruder intently.
The intruder had been wounded in the fray, a small gash visible on their left side of their body, but even now, they summoned a spark of electricity, channeling it into the injury.
With a quick flicker, the wound began to heal, the skin knitting together as the enemy harnessed the very energy that had attacked them moments before.
“Is everyone okay?” Steve asked, looking around at his team, who were panting and bruised but mostly intact.
“I think so,” Natasha said, slowly getting back to her feet. “But they're strong. We underestimated them.”
“Where did it even come from?” Clint asked, still shaken by the chaos.
Before they could discuss further, the unknown intruder, now mostly healed, turned their back to them.
Without a word, the enemy fled the scene, their figure disappearing into the shadows.
The Avengers stood in stunned silence, the remnants of their defeat hanging in the air.
“What just happened?” Clint gasped, shaking his head in disbelief.
“I don’t know,” Steve replied, his brow furrowed. “But we need to regroup and figure out what we’re dealing with.”
As they caught their breath, the reality sank in.
This was no ordinary adversary.
The intruder hadn’t spoken a single word, yet they had proven their power in an instant.
The quiet before the storm lingered, an ominous reminder that they had only begun to scratch the surface of the challenge ahead.
The Avengers knew one thing for sure: they had to be ready for whatever came next.
"That was my new suit!" Tony yelled, pointing at his chest.
"And that was my arm!" Bucky shot back. "I lost it in that battle!"
The meeting room was filled with protests, as the Avengers gathered early in the morning to talk about the previous night's events.
"Can you quit with that joke already?" Natasha groaned tiredly "You sound like little children."
"Agent Hill," Fury interjected, stopping the useless complaining. "Please give our agents a quick rundown on the enemy's powers."
"Of course, Sir," Hill said, turning to the group. "Listen up, guys. From the footage we analyzed last night, we identified five key powers, all linked by one element." She paused, scanning the room. "Electricity."
"No shit." Clint chuckled ironically. "We haven't notived that last night."
"Electrokinesis," Maria firmly started, ignoring Clint, "is the ability to generate and control electricity. This includes shooting bolts, creating fields, or powering devices with their body. You've all seen them do this."
Maria recieved a collective nod.
"Electromagnetism," Maria continued, "controlling magnetic fields, manipulating objects, or flying using electromagnetic propulsion. This is why they’ve evaded our attacks so effortlessly. Steve and Natasha know this firsthand."
Steve put his head in his hands, still feeling embarressed after last night's battle.
"Electric Absorption: the ability to absorb and store electricity, enhancing their powers or releasing bursts of energy." Maria boomed, trying to mock Thor.
"For Mjolnir sake." Thor sighed.
"Technopathy: the power to control or communicate with electronic devices, manipulating technology with their minds or integrating with networks." Maria looked at Tony, earning an eye roll from him.
"It was my new suit." Tony repeated
"Electric Healing," Maria chukled, "the ability to heal or rejuvenate oneself or others using electrical energy, speeding up natural processes."
"That shit was impressive." Clint pointed with his finger towards Maria.
"We will face another attack soon," Fury asserted. "We need a plan to stop them and capture them alive. This won’t end until they get what they want." He fixed a stern gaze on Natasha. "Don’t let me down."
With that, Fury stood and left.
"You’re all dismissed for now," Maria announced. "Stay prepared."
The room was abuzz with tension and murmurs after Maria's detailed briefing on the enemy's powers. Each agent's mind was racing, trying to piece together strategies to counter such formidable abilities.
Tony, still slightly agitated about his ruined suit, took a deep breath and turned to the others. "Alright, team, let's get to work. We need to come up with a solid plan. Any ideas?"
"We need to exploit their weaknesses. Every power has a limitation. If they're relying heavily on electricity, we could consider ways to short-circuit their abilities." Steve stepped forward, his face set with determination.
Natasha nodded, mindlessly playing with a pen. "EMP devices. If we can deploy them effectively, we might be able to neutralize their powers temporarily. But we need a backup plan in case that fails."
Bruce, who hadn't been at the compound last night when the attack happened, had been quietly observing everyone, silently trying to absorbe all information before he spoke up.
"Electromagnetism and electric absorption make direct confrontations risky. But if we can overload their absorption capacity, it might destabilize them." The doctor said "We need to carefully calculate the amount of electricity needed to do that."
"And what about their technopathy?" Clint added "They could turn our own tech against us. We'll need manual overrides and non-digital communication methods to stay one step ahead."
"Right." Tony, surprisingly, agreed. "No relying on our usual tech. We'll go analog wherever possible. But we still need to pinpoint their location and predict their next move."
"We analized if any key points with high electricity had been targeted recently before the attack on us and, based on their previous patterns, they do target high-energy facilities." Maria, still present, interjected, "Power plants, research labs, places with significant electrical infrastructure. We should prioritize securing these locations that are nearby."
Steve nodded. "Good point. We'll need to divide our forces to cover as many potential targets as possible. We should also set traps and surveillance in these areas to give us an early warning."
Bucky, who had been silently fuming about the earlier exchange, finally spoke up. "And when we do face them, we need to coordinate our attacks. Distraction and misdirection could give us the upper hand."
Tony took a deep breath. "Alright, team, here's the plan: EMP devices, strategic deployment at high-risk locations, manual overrides for our tech, and coordinated attacks. We'll split into smaller units to cover more ground. Let's get to work and be ready for anything."
"Alright, sunshine." Bucky mockingly smiled at Tony
Tony rolled his eyes but made no move to protest. Instead, he stood up, and left the room.
As the team dispersed to prepare, Maria watched them go with a steely resolve. She knew the upcoming battle would test their limits, but she also knew they were the best hope for stopping this new threat.
And yet, they still had to learn what was the reason behind these new attacks.
With a final nod to herself, she turned to finalize the details and ensure everything was in place for the imminent confrontation.
The room began to empty as people filed out, chatting amongst themselves, leaving Natasha standing alone in the dim light.
She saw that Bucky stood up from his seat aswell, preparing to leave, when she caught him by him right arm, her grip firm but gentle, pulling him back to her.
“James, please.” Her voice was soft, almost fragile. “Can we talk?”
Bucky stood there, his jaw clenched, anger flickering in his eyes. He hesitated, the tension between them thick enough to cut.
“What is there to talk about, Natasha?" He sighed. "You've already made your choices, and look where it got us.”
Natasha lowered her gaze, taking a deep breath as the weight of her mistakes settled on her shoulders. “I know I made mistakes. I’m sorry. I should have been a better mother for Y/N.”
Bucky's glare was fierce as his daughter's name got mentioned. He was ready to start an arguement, but as he searched her face, he saw the sincerity in her eyes, leaving him unsure of what to think.
“You can’t just say sorry and expect everything to be fine, Nat." He raised his voice, tears gathering in his eyes. "This isn’t something that just goes away. Not when my daughter is out there, who knows in what condition, probably fighting for her life as we talk.”
Natasha swallowed hard when she heard his words, guilt creeping again in her mind.
Stepping closer, her voice trembled with raw emotion. “I know, James. I don’t expect it to. But I need you to understand… I care about our family. I care about Y/N. More than I’ve ever let on.” She paused for a second. "I was just too scared to allow myself to love her fully after Tanya was born, and now, I regret it deeply."
Bucky’s shoulders sagged, the anger seeping away as he absorbed her words.
After a moment’s hesitation, he pulled her into a hug, their bodies fitting together like pieces of a puzzle that had been lost for too long.
They stood in silence, the world around them fading as thoughts of their daughters, the mysterious intruder, and the dangers lurking ahead filled their minds.
“I can't forgive you. Not yet. We need to bring Y/N back home first. But I promise we’ll figure this out,” Bucky whispered, his breath warm against her ear. “Together.”
Natasha nodded, holding him tighter, finding solace in their shared resolve.
The room felt heavy with unspoken fears and hopes, but in that embrace, they found a flicker of strength to face whatever lay ahead.
Fury and Maria were right when they told the team that an attack will soon follow, because not even 3 nights later, the Avengers' headquarters erupted in chaos, debris flying as their relentless foe, returned with a vengeance.
This time, Natasha and Bucky haven't brought Tanya with them. Instead, they left her with Wanda at their house.
They knew a new attack was imminent and they didn't wanted to drag their young daughter in this again.
The enemy stood tall, eyes glinting with malice. "You cannot stop me, Avengers! Your time ends now!"
The intruder's voice was powerful, yet it sounded more robotic than human.
The team, weary and battered, exchanged glances filled with concern.
"Oh, so we can talk." Tony spat, trying to ease the tension.
Tony, in his brand new Iron Man suit, turned to Natasha. "We need a plan, Nat. This thing is too powerful."
They knew they couldn't engage in a battle that could drag on forever and end in their defeat.
Again.
They were expecting this new attack, so they couldn't afford to lose time. They needed to act.
And act fast.
Natasha, ever the strategist, responded, "I have an idea, but it's risky. We need to overload their power source. Push it beyond its limits, and it might shut down."
Thor, gripping his hammer, nodded fiercely. "Aye, let's try it. My lightning may be of use in this."
Steve stepped forward, shield at the ready. "We'll channel all our energy into our attacks. Together, we can do this!"
"You have no source of electrical power, Stevie." Bucky laughed.
"Maybe not." Steve smirked. "But my shield can conduct the energy."
Raising their weapons and abilities, the Avengers rallied.
Thor summoned crackling lightning, Thor powered up his repulsors, Steve took position, shield at the ready, and Natasha poised for a precise strike, alongisde the others.
"You think you can challenge me?" The intruder taunted them. "I am beyond your comprehension!"
With a unified battle cry, the team unleashed a concentrated barrage of energy.
The room exploded with blinding light as their powers converged on their enemy.
The intruder struggled, their form wavering under the onslaught. "No! This cannot be!" They shouted in pain.
The energy intensified, breaking through the defenses. The enemy staggered, faltering under the relentless assault.
"Keep pushing!" Natasha urged, gritting her teeth. "We've almost got it! It's working."
With a deafening blast, the enemy convulsed and collapsed, the room trembling with the aftermath.
Silence followed, broken only by the team's heavy breaths, as their victory settled in.
Bucky felt a ringing in his ears as pain shot through his entire body.
He let out a loud groan, pushing himself into a sitting position. Looking around, he saw the rest of the team scattered across the room.
"Damn it!" Natasha groaned, following Bucky's lead as she pushed herself up.
"Is everyone alright?!" Steve shouted worried.
As everyone regained their senses, Bucky noticed the intruder lying unconscious in the center of the room and stood up.
With calculated steps, he approached their enemy, kneeling beside them with deliberate movements.
"We'll see who is the bastard who dares to challenge us," Bucky mumbled angrily under his breath as he reached to remove the intruder's mask.
A collective gasp echoed through the room as the mask came off, followed by a stunned silence.
Bucky's eyes widened and a shocked whisper resonated throughout the room.
This couldn't be real.
It just, couldn't be.
"Y/N..."

Accidents Happen
Warnings: hospitals, mentions of injuries, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Avengers x reader platonic
Request: Hi hi! Can you please do a avengers x little reader? R is 6 and maybe Natasha or peter drop her off at school but a few hours after school starts they get a call saying she had an accident and got injured badly. So the whole team shows up at the school to rush her to the Emergency room and the person who dropped R off feels really guilty but the R tells them it wasn't their fault (also could R be wise for her age?) Anyways thanks feel free to ignore this or change some things thank you!
Request by: Anon
*not my gif*
Summary: Nat blames herself for the accident you had at school that causes the entire team to rush to the hospital
A/N: I loved writing this
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
“Thank you, Nattie!” You called, scrambling out of the backseat and sending a wide, toothy grin to the redhead.
Natasha smiled at you fondly, “You’re welcome, n/n, have a good day.”
You closed the car door and turned on your heels hurrying towards the entrance, excited for school to start. The woman couldn’t help but chuckle, you’re the only kid she’s ever met that’s been happy to go learn, especially at six years old.
She watched from the car until the entrance door swung shut softly behind you before she put the car into drive once more and set off to begin her no doubt long day, though a soft smile still lingered on her lips from her interaction with you.
-•-
“Where the hell is she?”
“What’s going on?”
“Do you know who I am? I could have you fired with the snap of my fingers!”
“This place is full of so many puny humans, and yet not a single one of them is giving me a straight answer!”
The outraged roars of Earth’s mightiests heroes might not have been what anyone in the hospital was expecting in the middle of the day, but to be fair- they were beyond stressed and concerned. They had no idea what was going on, not really.
About fifteen minutes ago, Natasha had received a phone call from your school- her being your emergency contact- in the middle of a debrief with her teammates. The principal on the other side of the phone had been very vague as she informed the woman that she had been in an accident and was rushed in an ambulance to the nearest hospital, all but hanging up before Romanoff could fire off any one of the thousands of questions racing through her mind.
Chaos had followed that phone call, the avengers all scrambling around, trying to get to the hospital as quickly as possible with no real direction as to what was going on.
So now, they stood in the lobby, anger and worry etched onto each of their faces respectively as they swung around in circles, demanding answers from any of the many people working there.
Bucky and Thor both looked seconds away from lunging towards the closest doctor and shaking them until they gave them an explanation and to point them in your direction.
Tony was sneering at every person that passed, trying to intimidate them while Steve tried to ask questions as calmly as he could. Clint looked seconds away from diving through the doors dedicated to doctors only.
The only one that was silent was Natasha. She stood in the middle of the chaos with her arms pulled around her stomach, face paler than normal and looking as though she might be sick.
She had dropped you off this morning. She had been the one to leave you at that school without a second thought. How could she not realize that something would go wrong? She always had a sixth about that kind of stuff.
And now, because of her lack of realization, you were somewhere in this vast building, lying in a hospital bed, all alone- probably scared. And she didn’t even know if you were alright.
“Miss. Romanoff?”
The voice automatically silenced all of the avengers and they all whipped in the direction of it.
The doctor who spoke, to her credit, didn’t look the least bit intimidated at being stared down by the people, instead glanced down at her clipboard, “You’re here to see Y/n L/n, correct?”
Natashas head immediately bobbed up and down, moving forward, fear gripping her heart, “Is she okay?”
A sympathetic and reassuring smile appeared on the woman’s face, “She’s going to be fine,” She assured the group.
Everyone's muscles immediately loosened and Natahsa felt a shaky breath leave her lips as fear's grip loosened a bit on her heart.
“What happened?” Tony demanded, still not fully convinced.
With an incline of her head, the avengers all piled after the doctor as she led them through the workers only door, “She was in an accident at school. Apparently she had been trying to jump to the monkey bars at recess, but misjudged the distance and landed at the wrong angle on the metal pole of the jungle gym, hitting her head. She was knocked out, so the school called us. She has a concussion, but she’ll be fine in a few weeks if you take the proper precautions. We can discuss those later.”
There it was again, the fear and worry and guilt that was consuming the redheads entire being. She could tell by their reactions that her team was feeling the same.
“Right in here.” The doctor cast them one last smile before leaving them at the door of your room.
Immediately, Bucky all but threw the door open and everyone rushed in, crowding into the small room.
Natahsa pulled up short at the sight of you, lying in the hospital bed, looking smaller than normal surrounded by all the big equipment in the oversized bed.
You turned your head with wide eyes at the sound of footsteps, but relaxed into a smile when you saw who it was.
“Hi, guys,” You piped happily- as if nothing happened- but your voice was a bit weaker than normal.
“Oh, n/n,” Nat breathed out, immediately falling to your side, crouching down, grasping your hand in hers and squeezing it, “Are you okay?”
You nodded, smiling up at the woman, “I’m fine, my head just hurts.”
The woman frowned, smoothing back your hair from your forehead, “Do you need anything?”
Apparently, the team had caught onto Romanoffs feelings of guilt a while ago, because they exited the room at that moment, knowing that they should give her some space with you for a few minutes to sort through her emotions. They hated leaving you, but knew you would always be safe as long as Natasha was around.
You shook your head- slowly so as to not hurt yourself more, “I’m fine.” You promised, “I’m happy you’re all here.”
A shaky breath once again slipped from the woman's lips, “I’m so sorry,” Her eyes were welled up with tears.
It was then your turn to frown, confusion pulling your eyebrows down, “For what, Nattie?” You had no idea what she was talking about.
“If I hadn’t left you today, if I had known that something was wrong, I never would’ve left you.” A single tear slipped down her cheek as she squeezed her eyes shut and put your still intertwined hands to her forehead.
You squeezed her hand once, “It’s not your fault, Nattie, you couldn’t have known.” You were smiling kindly at her now.
“But-”
You shook your head stubbornly, a trait she often wondered if you got it from her, “It’s not your fault. It could’ve happened to anyone and there’s no way to tell if or when it’ll happen. Accidents happen.” You insisted.
A shaky huff of a laugh left her lips as she pressed a kiss to your forehead, “When did you get so wise?”
A wide grin appeared on your face, “I always have been, you’re just noticing now.”

Tired Eyes
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x daughter!reader
Summary: Natasha takes care of Romanoff!reader after a tiring mission
Warnings: None except bad writing, basic MCU stuff
Word Count: 500 ish, she's a short one
Steve gently shook you awake.
"N/N, we're about to land," He said.
You tiredly sat up and rubbed sleep out of your eyes, resting your head on your hand.
Your mission that day was tough, physically.
It was supposed to be relatively easy so only you, Steve, and Sam were sent on it.
A S.H.I.E.L.D member had been abducted and you three were tasked with retrieving them.
Compared to fighting aliens and taking down high status members of society, it wouldn't have been difficult.
You weren't aware that the soldiers at the base you were headed to had found out about your mission and upped their number of soldiers greatly.
You all managed to make it out with minimal injuries, and the abducted person alive and well.
But you were still exhausted.
You didn't have Steve's super soldier abilities or Sam's wings.
Your mother had taught you how to fight from a young age and you had a natural talent for it.
Even with your excellent skill and knowledge, you could only fight so many people.
The quinjet landed and you slowly exited it.
"You good, N/N?" Sam asked, resting a hand on your shoulder.
You nodded her head slightly.
Sam kept his arm around you as you walked back into the Avengers compound.
You and Sam parted ways and your tired eyes searched for your mother.
When you finally spotted her you briskly walked to your mother, crashing into her slightly when you got to her.
Natasha stumbled a little bit and wrapped her arms around her daughter.
"Hey, Y/N, you okay?" She asked, carefully inspecting you for injuries or bruises, only seeing a few tiny marks on your face.
"I'm okay," You whispered into your mother's shoulder, resting most of your body weight against her.
Natasha stood there for a minute with you in her arms and softly stroked your hair.
"Let's get you cleaned up so you can get some rest, okay?"
You nodded and followed your mother to your room.
Natasha went to get the first aid kit and other things from your bathroom while you sat down on the floor next to your bed, not wanting to sit on your bed with dirty clothes.
Natasha sat down in front of you and gently cleaned your face with a dampened washcloth.
You flinched slightly when Natasha went over a small cut on your cheek.
Natasha took a disinfectant wipe and cleaned the cut, careful not to hurt you.
She placed a band-aid over the cut and started putting the things back into the first aid kit.
"Are you too tired to take a shower?" Natasha asked.
You thought for a second before nodding.
"Okay, you should at least get changed before you sleep, though."
Natasha got up and went to get you some more comfortable clothes.
Your eyes were falling shut when Natasha walked back over to you.
"Baby, I know you're tired but you have to get changed."
"Help?" You asked quietly.
Natasha nodded understandingly and helped you get changed into comfier clothes.
You crawled into your bed while your mother went to throw your dirtied clothes in a laundry basket.
"Can you stay with me for a little bit?" You asked your mom.
Natasha smiled sweetly, "Of course I can."
She lay down next to you and you tiredly moved to rest your head on her chest.
The sound of your mother's heartbeat and breathing quickly lulled you to sleep.
Natasha waited a few minutes to make sure you were comfortable and asleep before falling asleep herself.

i rlly like ur posts abt how steves rough time with his dad as a little kid affects him later in life. i was wondering do u think the other avengers notice? and if they do what do you think they think/do about it?
also tbh i rlly like ur posts in general lol. i hope you have a good day!
I think the other Avengers notice after some time, considering most of them have similar experiences. I imagine it's sort of an unspoken thing, but it's almost... more notable on Steve, because he's so goddamn young and because when he wakes up from the ice, he's so goddamn stretched thin, that the reserves he usually has to shove all those old habits into a box are low. He's jumpy, the others notice. A raised voice-- especially male-- makes him flinch before he smooths out his face. Making requests is hard for him, and mistakes-- even small ones-- are met with scrambling apologies and frantic attempts to fix the problems.
No one says anything, because they know what it's like, and they don't want him to feel cornered. But there's a hard mission, and he and Natasha are alone in a motel room, and Steve is so clearly low. Kids had been involved. And Natasha had seen the way Steve had shut down to see the marks and bruises on the little boy and girl they'd gotten out of a trafficking situation, and she understood. Albeit for different reasons, but at the core, the pain was the same. They'd both just been kids when they were hurt. Young and lost and wondering what they'd done to deserve the grown ups around them squashing them down and making them feel no better than the dirt.
He doesn't say anything, so she doesn't either. But that night, she can't sleep, and neither can he, and when she hears him shift, roll over. Curl onto his side as the silent tears start, she can't stand it anymore.
Her bed creaks as she slides out, ignoring the rough crunch of the carpet as she pads over to Steve's bed and climbs in behind him.
She crawls onto the bed behind him, stretching out. "Can I hold you?" she whispers. Steve shrugs. He doesn't care. He doesn't understand why she would want to be the big spoon to his hulking frame, but if she wants to, he won't stop her. He's too tired to. He feels her wiggle close and slides an arm over his chest, hugging him flush against her. Her palm rests over his heart and she rubs, soothing.
It eases some of the weight. Some of the ache. He breathes, shaky. She kisses the back of his neck. It's quiet for a long time.
Natasha's voice is soft and private when she speaks. "It hurts, what they did to us, doesn't it?"
Steve freezes, listening. Natasha holds on. He doesn't move her.
"Why would anyone treat children that way? Hurt them that way?"
Steve clenched his jaw, resignation in his gut. "How could you tell?"
Natasha sighs. "I put it together, more or less."
Steve nods and doesn't say anything. It's quiet here, outside the city. The world dark and lacking that telltale bustle. Steve hates it.
"It's alright that you're hurting still," Natasha continues, and Steve wants to beg her to stop, but he's too curious, too desperate for someone to see him that he doesn't. "It's okay that you're still scared. You're safe, darling... you don't have to believe that yet."
He starts to tremble.
"Shh, baby, hey," she soothes and her voice is easy to stomach. Easy to understand. "Breathe for me."
He sucks in a deep breath.
"Did they hit you in the Red Room?" he asks.
"Sometimes," Natasha says. "It was calculated, though. Discipline."
Discipline. Steve doesn't think his father meant for his hits to be discipline. They were just... correction. To get him to shut up. Or maybe so he could get his anger out.
"Breathe," Natasha reminds again. Steve takes another measured breath. "You don't have to tell me anything. But you can. I won't get it all, but I might understand."
Steve considers that. "How old were you? When it started?"
"I don't remember," Natasha said. "Very young. Four, maybe? You?"
"I don't remember either," Steve whispers, and he's furious. Suddenly, he wants to set the world on fire. For the little girl who just wanted a chance to see the sunshine, and for the little boy who just wanted to play. "Maybe the same."
They fall back into silence. Steve can feel his teeth chattering. Natasha starts humming a song, simple and soothing under her breath. He knows he doesn't have to say anything else; she understands. He lets his eyes fall shut again.

Nighttime Troubles
Tumblr media
----------------------------------------------------------------
Summary: Y/N having trouble sleeping with out their dad while their other parents try to calm them down and get Tony back in bed.
Note: Gn!Reader, around 3 years old. Yes Soap is the name of her sheep plushie, because i love my Soapie to much and he needed to be in my story.
Art/picture is from Pinterest, credits go to whoever made it. I just put it together like this.
Translations: Dorogoy = Sweetheart (And expensive, for some reason, if you know why this is please tell me. Translate is weird.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N was having a rough couple of nights, the nightmares they had were getting too much for their little mind. Feeling so many big feelings and seeing scary things in their dreams. This didn’t bother the Avengers however, they all loved the little koala. Their koala was a bit of all of them. Their little miracle in life, their light. After defeating Loki everything went pretty fast for the Avengers and just 2 years later they got married, all 6 of them (Tony bribed the minister and the person that would approve the paperwork) and in 2015 their little koala was born.
Natasha was walking Y/N around the master bedroom, shushing them as she bounced them a bit in her arms. “shhhh, Dorogoy, it’s okay momma is here. No more nightmares, shhh.” She whispered to the little one as Thor came back into the room with a few extra plushies from Y/N’s room. “I didn’t know which one they would want, so i got them all.” Clint laughed a bit and grabbed the little sheep plushie from the stack in Thor’s arm. “This one, Soap, remember this one Thor. Soap is the favorite.” Natasha rolled her eyes and kissed Y/N’s cheeks.
After a few minutes Steve was done warming up Y/N’s bottle and quickly made his way back to the bedroom. “Any progress?” He asked worriedly as he handed Natasha the bottle. “No, not yet, Bruce is still trying to get Tony to come to bed, but he’s probably dealing with his own nightmares.” Clint answered. They all knew that Y/N slept the best between Bruce and Tony. Probably because they liked being in a science sandwich and Bruce and Tony were the warmest out of the parents. Natasha yawned as she sat down on the bed with Y/N. “Thor? Do you still have that story book somewhere? that one with both folktales and fairytales?” She asked, hoping that reading to Y/N would calm them down.
“Yes! I’ll grab it and read to the little one!” Thor cheered as he walked over to the book shelf and grabbed the book Natasha mentioned. He went to the bed and sat next to Natasha and Y/N before starting to read in the soft tone he only used with Y/N. “This one is called ‘The Forest Bride’. There was once a farmer who had three sons,” Thor read to Y/N, and secretly Natasha. Y/N wasn't crying anymore as they suckled on their bottle while listening to Thor reading their favorite story.
Steve and Clint smiled at the three of them on the bed. “I’ll go check on Bruce and Tony.” Steve said before stepping away from Clint. Sadly Steve jinxed it, Bruce walked into the bedroom. Clint gave Bruce a worried look and opened his arms for him. Bruce walked defeated into Clint’s arms. “I tried, he just won’t listen to me right now. He’s scared to go to bed and then hurt Y/N if he wakes up” Bruce explained quietly. Steve sighed. “I'm going to talk to him, this is the biggest load of bull shit i’ve ever heard, and that is saying a lot.” he fumed before leaving the bedroom.
Bruce looked over at the bed and saw Natasha asleep against Thor with Y/N on her lap. Thor was still reading the story to their koala. Clint looked down at Bruce. “Wanna go sit with them?” Bruce nodded and Clint smiled as he helped Bruce to the bed. He made sure Natasha, Bruce and Y/N were okay with Thor, who was now happily reading the next story in the book, before following after Steve.
When Clint was close to the lab he could hear Steve and Tony yelling at each other. He walked around the corner and saw Tony tinkering on one of his suites while Steve yelled from Bruce’s desk.
“Just don’t Steve, just don’t, okay? I am not going to bed!” Tony hissed as he slammed down his screwdriver. “No, I won't let you stay up like this. You have to sleep, you need sleep to function. How are you supposed to take care of yourself or Y/N if you are not sleeping, not well rested. You know it's safe in the bedroom, you know you won’t hurt us or Y/N. You know damn well that you are just running away right now!” Before Steve could say more Clint put a hand on his back and gave him a look.
Tony looked over at Steve when he didn’t continue his rant. He saw Clint by Steve's side, he let out a big sigh before responding. “I think I know my own health better than you do Star Spangled Banner. Now leave me alone! I do not need this! I do not need sleep. I do not need you, or anyone else to take care of me! I am fine!” He yelled at both his husbands. He didn’t need them, didn't need to be told he wasn't actually doing fine, but even with a few years of therapy and loving partners, Tony could still fall back into old habits.
Clint tried to reach out for Tony, tried to tell him he was wrong but yelling came from the hallway before he could. A very angry Natasha, followed by Thor and Bruce came Into the lab. Y/N in her arms. “Anthony Edward Stark! Hold your child!” She hissed before handing Y/N over to Tony. Y/N reached out for Tony and he reluctantly took them from Natasha. “Daddy…” Y/N whispered into Tony's shoulder. This broke Tony a bit, not just a bit, but more than he liked to admit.
“I… I think I might need some help… And Someone to take care of me and take me too bed…” Tony admits as he held the little koala. Natasha smiled and grabbed onto Tony's arms. “Let's get you two to bed. Thor will continue his story and you two can cuddle with Bruce. We'll deal with the rest tomorrow” Natasha said before leading Tony away from his work.
Soon after both Y/N and Tony were on the big bed. Thor reads more of his stories to Y/N, and the others. As Bruce held Tony close with Y/N in between their science sandwich. Y/N was already fast asleep when Thor finished the first story. With Natasha following shortly after. Clint was the next one to fall asleep, somewhere between story three and four, happily in Steve’s arms. Thor fell asleep while reading after Steve fell asleep. But Tony stayed awake, like Bruce. Him keeping an eye on Tony.
“Want to talk about it?” Bruce asked Tony, he was worried. “Not right now. Is that okay? we will talk about this later?” Tony answered to which Bruce pulled him closer, letting Tony be the little spoon. “Yeah, that is okay. But we are going to talk about this, because we are worried and want to help you, because we love you. Just like we love this little koala.” Bruce said before fixing Y/N’s hair a bit. “Just let us help you like you always want to help them.” Tony nodded his head slowly before kissing Y/N’s head. “We’ll talk after I slept for more than 6 hours.”
“Just close your eyes” Bruce whispered before he felt a small kick against his back. “Go to sleep” Steve whisper yelled tiredly. Y/N hugged Tony’s arm and snored a bit as Bruce and Tony finally closed their eyes to sleep.
<--------------------------------------------------------->
Somewhere in the middle of the night Soap, the sheep plushie, fell out of the bed. This was quickly noticed by Y/N who started to wiggle out of the science sandwich. they crawled to the end of the bed and reached over the end towards Soap. they almost had the plushie before losing balance. With a small thud they fell off the bed and hit their bum on the floor.
Loud crying woke everyone but Clint, he didn’t wake up since he didn't have his hearing aid on. Yes he forgot to take them out after falling asleep next to Thor and the battery was now dead. Steve was the first to get to Y/N he picked up the little one and the sheep. “shhh, baby doll, it’s okay. Daddy is here, shhh, you’re safe in daddy’s arms.” Steve whispered to Y/N. Thor shifted over to Steve and Y/N and carefully took them from Steve. He gently put Y/N underneath his nightshirt and held them and Soap against his chest.
Thor always thought Y/N was given extra sensitive and given bigger emotions by the gods then normal people, or Asgardians. They were he’s sensitive little angel, who needed a lot of touch to feel safe and deal with the big emotions and feelings. “There we go little poptart. Nice and warm with pappa, no one can hurt you here.” Thor rubbed Y/N’s back as he took them back to the bed. Steve smiled at Thor and how comfortable Y/N looked against him. “Owh look at you, are you comfy with pappa?” Natasha asked the sleepy toddler when Thor lay down next to her. Y/N nodded their head and stuck their thumb into their mouth.
“So no need for a science sandwich anymore I see. Well i'll be back in the lab if you all need me” Tony announced and tried to walk past Bruce and Steve. Only for Steve to grab Tony by his shirt collar and pulls him back towards him and Bruce. “You need sleep, Tony. Back in bed.” Steve said in a stern but caring tone. “Or what?” Tony tried. “Or I will lock the lab and you won’t be able to go in until we think you can go in again. No more new Ironman suites or weird nicknacks. No more Peter Parker coming over for his ‘internship’.” Steve answered. The thing about not doing fun science things with Peter did it and Tony walked back to the bed. Tony liked (Loved) Peter too much, some might say he was his son.
Bruce and Steve made it back to the bed and lay down besides the others. Y/N was already fast asleep again underneath Thor’s shirt. Clint was still asleep and snoring as Natasha cuddled up to him. The others pulled the covers back up and snuggled up before going back to sleep. Tony did try to sneak out of bed again once when he thought everyone was sleeping. only for Steve to pull Tony back onto the bed and hold him against him.

THIS IS SO ADORBSS PLEASE- Ok ok I'm really sorry it took SO long, I just recently have much more free time in my hand. I hope you like it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reader Description: 14 Years old, Wandanat's Child <3, gender neutral pronouns.
Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x Wanda Maximoff
Summary: Wanda and Natasha's child is an animal lover. They have the tendency to bring home whatever stray they find, today was no different. They brought home a damn frog.
School was typical, you learn stuff, got in one ear and left on the other. Y/n couldn't wait to get back home. As they were walking home from school, they noticed a little pond. In it was an adorable looking frog just chilling on the leaves.
"Hello you!" They approached the frog slowly, careful not to scare it off. Gently, they bent down to offer their hand and the frog immediately jumps on as if it knows they'll be safe with them.
"Imma call you, Julio." They gently hid the frog in their bag, putting it on top of all the books so it doesn't gets squashed.
In the kitchen of the Romanoff-Maximoff household, two women were enjoying each other's company. One of them was baking, the other was typing an email.
DING!
The timer on the oven went on, Wanda bent down to pull out the tray of cookies she was baking. She put it on the counter and suddenly felt a hand encircling her waist. "Is this your way of charming me so I would let you have the first bite?"
"Is it working?" Natasha asked while nuzzling her nose against her wife's neck, Wanda giggled at the action.
"It is, but it's fresh out of the oven. You will have to wait." Wanda said while leaning her body against Natasha's. Her wife whined while resting her chin on Wanda's shoulder.
"Can't I try it now? It smells so good." It was adorable how different the infamous Black Widow is at home with her loved ones.
Wanda rolled her eyes playfully and turned around to face her, "Patience, my love."
Natasha stared at her with a look that could only be describe as pure love, "Alright. For now then can I get a kiss instead?"
Wanda laughs but leans in anyway to sealed their lips. The two women kissed slowly, there was no rush, and it was full of love. Her hand reached up to circle itself around the former spy's shoulder while Natasha's hand pulled her closer by the waist.
The two Avengers had officially retired, Wanda was first to leave the Avengers. Few years later, Natasha followed suit. They both wanted to focus more on raising their family and be there as much for Y/n, their now 14 year old bundle of joy. Natasha she still helps the Avengers a little, honestly it's hard for that woman to just sit back and relax. However she has taken a more of a 'strategic' position you could say, she's mostly working at home and almost never on the field.
Wanda however, opted to leave that superhero life completely. Catching up on everything she had always wishes to do, while also being a full-time mom. Life is perfect for them.
The two pulled away and rested their foreheads together, Natasha started to sway her slowly while humming some tune. "This is nice."
Wanda had a smile on her face as she was gently being held by her wife, she then recognized the tune Natasha was humming. "The song we played at our wedding?"
"Mmmhmm." Natasha pulled back to look at her wife lovingly. Despite them being together for such a long time, Natasha couldn't help but fall in love all over again for the woman in front of her. Natasha leaned in to kiss the slope of Wanda's nose.
"I love you, Natty."
Natasha laughs slightly at the nickname. She remembered all those years ago she almost shipped Wanda to another country just for calling her Nat. "I love you too, so much." Natasha gave her another kiss, "More than I could ever express with words."
She poured all her love into the kiss, the immense feelings she had for this woman. Natasha would go hell and back for her, and Wanda would do the same. If needed, Wanda would destroy the multiverse just for her. They love they shared was something no one could ever match.
"I'm home!!" A voice was heard followed by the sound of their front door closing.
The two woman smiled hearing their bundle of joy home safe. Wanda, the ever so loving mom, was the first to greet them. "Welcome home darling! How was school?" She asked as Y/n entered the kitchen.
"Hi mama!" Y/n said while hugging Wanda, "School was just school." They moved across the kitchen and hugged their other mom, "I got into the softball team though!"
Natasha gave her a kiss on top of their head, "Well done my darling cub! I'm so proud of you."
Y/n sniffed the air and smelled their mother's baking, "MMMMM" their eyes darted quickly to the tray of cookies on the counter. "I want one!" They tried to take one but their mother quickly stood between between Y/n and the cookies with her hand on her hips.
"Nu uh!" Wanda exclaimed, "Did you get the thing I asked you?"
"What thing?" Her child looked at her, confused. Wanda merely raised an eyebrow, "Ohhhhh... Ughhh fine, I'll be right back." They quickly grabbed their wallet from their backpack, leaving it open on the countertop beside Natasha's laptop, and went back out to buy the eggs their mother had requested.
"You know if you need it that badly, I could've gone out and get it for you." Natasha said while leaning against the counter with her infamous smirk.
"And you say I spoil them too much?"
Natasha chuckles and moved to stand beside her wife who was now preparing to chop some onions. "It's almost time to do some groceries shopping anyway, if anything, I'm spoiling my beautiful wife."
"Mmmm, what would I do without you?" Wanda said while giving her a kiss.
"What are we cooking next, Malysh?"
"Well, there's this recipe I've been wanting to try. And-" As the two woman chatter, unbeknownst to them, Julio the frog had popped out of it's prison. Hopping out of the bag, Julio took in its surroundings.
What a weird place?
Decide is not necessarily the right term, but the frog jumped onto Natasha's laptop. Causing the random keys to be pressed, it continued its journey around the surface before it decided to hop across.
Natasha suddenly felt a notification on her phone, she checked it and her eyes narrows in confusion. "What the hell?" She quickly went back to her laptop to check on the email she was writing, "Why did it sent??"
Hearing her wife's frustration, Wanda glanced at Natasha. "What's the matter?"
Natasha cursed under her breath, "I need to check my laptop for virus. It's opening a bunch of weird apps, and sending gibberish emails."
Wanda's face scrunched up in confusion, "I thought SHIELD would provide you with top of the line anti-virus software?"
"Precisely my point, if it's a virus, whoever it is they're up to no good."
While Natasha did her thing, Julio manages to reach Wanda's prepped ingredients. Wanda however was still focused on Natasha, feeling a slight anxiety that someone something might be trying to attack them.
"Find anything?" Wanda asked.
Natasha's eyes was still fixated on the laptop, "No, I can't find any trace leading to them. They're sloppy, but good."
Meanwhile the culprit was still hopping around the kitchen counter, "Well maybe you should call-" Wanda's sentence was cut off with a yelp, hearing her wife's sudden squeal, Natasha glanced in her direction.
"What, what's wrong?"
"Ew! shoo- SHOO!!" Wanda yelled in disgust, "No- NO get away from there!" Natasha was quick to be at her side to asses the situation.
"Honey, what are you-"
"Ge- GET THE FROG!" Natasha quickly saw it and almost burst out laughing.
"Lyubov, It's just a-"
"Tasha, get the damn frog before I make you sleep on the couch!" Wanda said strictly, Natasha quickly obliged, she darted forward but Julio continued to hop around. "Don't let it touch my cookies!"
Natasha manages to pull the trays of cookies away before the tiny frog could jump on it. However despite the tray having some time to cool down, after holding it for a while Natasha's hand started to burn. "Ouch!" She hastily dropped it on the kitchen island.
"Tasha, TASHA!!!" Wanda squealed as she kept an eagle eye on the frog. Watching it continue to hop around like nothing matters.
"Honey, relax I got it." Natasha tried to calm her down and tried to move swiftly to catch the frog. But damn, the fucker was too good. Even for the Black Widow.
It took them a few minutes to finally catch the culprit. It was mostly spent on Wanda pointing and shouting, while Natasha tries to figure out a way to catch the little bastard. Julio was now trapped inside a container box, yet this son of a bitch is just chilling there as if nothing happened.
"What's... going on??" They heard a voice asked, the two mothers glanced at their child who was was standing on the entrance of the kitchen holding a carton of eggs.
Natasha let out a long breath, "We're alright honey, just a little kitchen accident."
Y/n's face quickly twisted into concern, "Are you guys hurt?"
"No, Detka, it's not that. There was a frog."
Y/n snorted, "A frog?" then realization hit them. Y/n quickly moved to check their bag whilst putting down the carton of eggs on the countertop. Surely enough, Julio was gone.
Natasha, knowing her own child, quickly pieced the puzzle. "Detka... Explanation, now." She said while crossing her arms.
"Hehe, Julio caused this little incident?"
"Christ you even gave it a name-" Natasha rubbed her temple, she loved their child. But holyshit, a damn frog?
"Y/n, you can't just keep bringing animals here!" Wanda scolded them.
"But it looked so adorable!"
"Detka..." Natasha sighed, "Put this frog outside please."
"But Momm-"
"No buts!" Natasha said strictly, Y/n begrudgingly approached the trapped Julio. Who is still sitting calmly, slimy bastard. They carefully slipped the cover underneath it to carry the little frog outside.
"And you're going back to the grocery store after this." Wanda said.
"Why didn't you just text me the extra things you needed?"
"I initially didn't need it until your little friend here decided to jump on my food."
Y/n sheepishly smiled, "Hehe, love you mama." They put on an innocent face.
Wanda sighed, she really can't stay mad at them. "I love you too. Now get that frog out."
Y/n walked out to the backyard while mumbling, "This frog has a name..."
Once Y/n was out of earshot, the two mothers stared at one another and laughed softly. Truth to be told they found the whole thing amusing.
"I think it's time we consider getting them a pet to take care of." Natasha said.
"Are you sure they're responsible enough for that?"
Natasha shrugged, "Only one way to find out. Beside, I'd rather have them being too busy taking care of a pet than suddenly bringing home a bunch of cockroach."
Wanda shivers at the mention of that, "I see your point."
They glanced outside the window to see Y/n ever so gently letting the frog out of the container. It seems like they're... talking to it. Wanda wrapped an arm around Natasha's waist and leaned her head on her shoulder. "It's so adorable how gentle they are with it."
"'This 'it' has a name, y'know?" Natasha joked slightly, Wanda pinched her wife's side causing Natasha to jump a little. But they both had a huge smile plastered on their face.
Natasha wraps her arms around Wanda as well, making Wanda nestle to her even more. "I guess a little puppy doesn't sound so bad."
"Mhmmm..." Natasha hummed in agreement. "Or a cat."
Looks like there will be a new addition to the Romanoff-Maximoff family.
Here you go! I hope you liked it, im so sorry it took so long to make :( But I love writing about Wandanat x Child!Reader, it brings me so much comfort!!!!

The Mom Moment
summary: you call Natasha mom for the first time
warnings: none
a/n: I started writing this but then I got a request for it. I think that anon could read my mind.
word count: 472
-
“Mom, is your favourite food ice cream or chicken nuggets?”
At first Natasha hadn’t even registered what you’d said. Too busy preparing dinner to even be paying much attention to something other than keeping the pasta sauce from burning.
But then you spoke up once more, “mine would be pizza I think. Pizza’s good, isn’t it mom?”
There it was again. That word. It prompted her to turn the heat down on the stove and turn to scan the room quickly. No sign of Wanda. Were you actually speaking to her?
“Why does the moon disappear when it’s light out? Mom, do you know why?”
“Because the moon gets replaced by the sun, sweetheart” she answers tepidly, not quite knowing where she stands under the circumstances.
You frown as you try to comprehend her response. “So the sun is the moon then?”
“Not quite” she was bewildered. Baffled. She’d gotten whiplash from the spew of bizzare questions and how you acted as if you’d been calling her mom from day dot. “Have you washed your hands ready for dinner?”
“You better have” another voice broke through the kitchen. “I saw you out in the garden digging for worms earlier, you stinker”
“Mama, I was digging for beetles, not worms”
Wanda's laughter filled the kitchen as she stepped in, pyjama clad and damp haired from the shower. Natasha's eyes met hers with a raised brown and an amused look.
"Beetles, huh? Well, that's quite the difference, isn't it?" Wanda said, ruffling your hair affectionately. "You know, some people even eat beetles in other parts of the world. Not my cup of tea, though”
You wrinkled your nose in playful disgust, and Natasha couldn't help but smile. This was more like it, a sense of normalcy returning to the room.
"Alright, you two," Natasha prompted, "Dinner's almost ready. Let's get the sable set, shall we? And no more worm or beatle digging before dinner, okay?"
“Listen to your mom, baby” Wanda nudged. “You set the table so well last time. Even better than us”
You beamed with pride at the compliment. Jumping from your stool tucked next to the kitchen island to rush towards the corresponding cupboards and drawers to collect the right utensils.
As the table was being set, Wanda met Natasha in front of the stove, hips bumping together in proximity. “Dinner smells great, mom,” she whispered with a playful grin. Smugness plastered across her features.
Natasha blushed slightly at Wanda's hushed words. She had been called many things in her life. But mom was a moniker she never expected. It was undeniably heartwarming.
"Thank you," she replied softly, a genuine smile spreading across her face. "And thank you for making everything feel so...right"
Wanda squeezed her hand affectionately, a silent reassurance that they were in this thing called parenthood together.

Kid Y/N feels under the weather, what is gonna happen? ft Wanda and Natasha
Rain pelted against the large windows of the Avengers compound, a symphony of nature's melancholy to accompany the drama unfolding within. Y/N, a young child with an inclination for mischief, which made her seem like Loki's daughter sometimes (she may be...), and two extraordinary guardians: Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff, found herself feeling under the weather. The cold had crept into her small frame, bringing with it a storm of sneezes and sniffles.
In the heart of the Avengers' home, the living room was a battleground. Y/N lay on the couch, surrounded by a fortress of plush toys. The television played some animated movie, forgotten in the background. Natasha was still donned in her Black Widow uniform after returning from a mission with Wanda, her fiery red hair cascading in waves, was the epitome of calm. She knelt beside the couch, worry etching lines on her face as she touched Y/N's forehead with the back of her hand.
Y/N - Mama, I don't wanna take those yucky medicines!
Whined the little girl as her raspy voice showed her clear discomfort.
Wanda, also in her Scarlet Witch attire, floated into the room with a tray of steaming soup and a small bottle of medicine. Her expressive eyes softened as they met Y/N's defiant gaze.
Wanda - Sweetheart, it'll make you feel better. Just a spoonful, okay? *frowns*
The girl's eyes narrowed and a pout formed on her lips.
Y/N - No! It tastes icky.
Natasha sighed, her stern look softened by a smile.
Natasha - Come on, kiddo. You'll be back to causing chaos in no time.
Y/N's eyes welled up, a mixture of exhaustion and frustration.
Y/N - I don't wanna be sick, Mommy.
Natasha's heart melted at the word. Y/N had walked into her and Wanda's life like a burst of sunshine, and now, seeing her curled up with illness, it felt like the sun had been clouded over.
Natasha exchanged a glance with Wanda, who was now floating in the air, her green eyes filled with concern.
Wanda - We just want you to feel better, little one. *soft voice with a motherly smile*
But Y/N was having none of it. With a sudden burst of energy, she sat up, sending the plush toys scattering like leaves in the wind.
Y/N - I don't want the yucky medicine! I hate it!
Natasha's eyes met Wanda's, both sharing a knowing look. Parenting, even for two superheroes, had its challenges. But they were up for it. Wanda floated down to Y/N's eye level, a playful smile on her face.
Wanda - How about a deal, little rebel? Take the medicine, and Mama will read you a story. A magical one.
Y/N eyed Wanda suspiciously, her small brain working through the proposal.
Y/N - A really magical one? *head tilt*
Wanda nodded, her fingers conjuring a spark of Scarlet energy.
Wanda - The most magical story you've ever heard.
Y/N contemplated this for a moment before finally nodding with all the seriousness a child could muster.
Y/N - Okay, but no yucky medicine next time. *scrunches nose*
Natasha handed Wanda the medicine with a smirk.
Natasha - Of course, princesa.
Wanda poured the medicine into a small spoon, casting a glance at Natasha. Natasha nodded subtly, understanding the silent question. Wanda approached Y/N, who was still eyeing the spoon with scepticism.
Wanda - Open wide, little one. *cooing*.
Y/N opened her mouth reluctantly and Wanda administered the medicine. The kid grimaced at the taste, but she swallowed it down with a determined expression.
Natasha - Good job, honey!
Natasha praised, ruffling Y/N's hair.
Wanda - Now, for the magical story...
Wanda settled on the floor near Natasha with Y/N nestled between their chests.
As Wanda began weaving a tale of enchanted forests and talking animals, Y/N's eyes sparkled with wonder. The room echoed with Wanda's melodic voice, each word painting a vivid picture in the child's imagination. Natasha sat back, watching the scene unfold with a smile. The storm outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of the family huddled together.
As the story reached its climax, Y/N's eyelids grew heavy. The pair shared a glance, silently agreeing to transfer the dozing child to her cosy bed. Together, they lifted Y/N, who mumbled something about flying with Mama and Mommy in the magical forest.
In her room, surrounded by plush toys and soft blankets, Y/N slept peacefully. Natasha and Wanda lingered for a moment, marvelling at the small, slumbering figure. Parenthood was an adventure, one they embraced wholeheartedly.
As they tiptoed out of the room, Natasha began to whisper.
Natasha - We make a good team, don't we? *smirks*
Wanda nodded, her eyes reflecting the love and contentment they both felt.
Wanda - The best. *winks*
And with that, the two superheroes, mothers to a special little girl, ventured back into the living room. The storm outside had quieted, leaving behind the soft hum of family and the promise of many more magical stories to come.

5 y/o y/n hears the saying 'step on a crack, break your mother's back' and one day when she's playing she steps on a crack on the side walk, the thing is Natasha's on a mission, and Y/N's convinced she just killed Natasha lol
Cracked Concrete
WinterWidow x Daughter!Reader
Summary: A rhyme you had overheard at preschool sent you to believe that you had hurt Natasha when you stepped on a crack playing outside.
———
It was a quiet morning, you were dressed in your favourite superhero pyjamas, ready to start your day. Bucky sat at the kitchen table, nursing a cup of coffee while keeping an eye on you. Natasha had left early that morning for a mission, leaving a kiss on both your and Bucky's foreheads before she slipped out silently.
Your day began with the usual routine: breakfast, a bit of morning cartoons, and then some playtime outside. Outside the Avengers Compound had become your personal playground. You loved hopping, skipping, and drawing chalk masterpieces on the concrete canvas.
As you played, you remembered a rhyme you'd heard at preschool: "Step on a crack, break your mother's back." It had sounded silly at the time, a fun thing to chant while skipping along the pavement. As you played hopscotch, your focus wavered and your little foot landed squarely on a crack in the pavement.
For a moment, you froze, the rhyme echoing in your mind. Your imagination, as vivid as a 5-year-old's is, conjured images of Natasha in peril. Your heart began to race, and tears welled up in your eyes as the panic began to set in. The thought of your mother being hurt because of a silly rhyme was too much for you to bear. “Mama!” You cried.
Without another thought, you turned on your heel and sprinted back into the compound, your small sneakers pounding against the pavement as your tiny legs carried you as fast as they could. You burst through the door, your face streaked with tears, calling out for your father. "Daddy! Daddy!" You cried, your voice shaking.
Bucky was still sitting at the kitchen table with his cup of coffee, he jumped up at the sound of your distress. He quickly knelt down to your level, concern etched on his face. "Baby doll, what's wrong?" He asked, wrapping his arms around your trembling form.
"Daddy, I stepped on a crack!" You wailed, tears streaming down your rosy cheeks. "I broke Mama's back! I broke it, and now she's... she's..."
Bucky gently cupped your face in his hands, wiping away your tears with his thumbs. "Y/N, sweetie, listen to me," He said softly but firmly. "That's just a silly rhyme. It’s not real. Mama's going to be just fine."
"But what if she's not?" You hiccuped, your eyes wide with fear.
Bucky's heart ached at seeing you so distressed. He scooped you up into his arms, holding you close. "I promise you, Mama is strong and nothing like that could ever hurt her," He reassured you. "She's on a mission right now, being the brave superhero she always is. She’ll be home soon, safe and sound."
You sniffled, burying your face in your father’s shoulder. "Really?" You mumbled.
"Really," Bucky affirmed, his voice gentle and soothing. "Now, how about we call her together and see how she's doing?"
You nodded, your tears beginning to subside. Though you wouldn’t be at full peace until you heard Natasha’s voice. Bucky pulled out his phone and dialled Natasha's number. After a few rings, Natasha’s familiar voice came through the speaker.
"Hey, Bucky," Natasha said, her tone bright despite the distance.
"Hi, Mama!" You piped up, your voice still a bit shaky but you had calmed down much more hearing Nat’s voice.
"Hey, Malyshka!" Natasha replied warmly. "What's going on?"
You took a deep breath, "I stepped on a crack, and I thought I hurt you," You confessed.
Natasha chuckled softly. "Oh, N/N, I'm perfectly fine. You don’t need to worry about me. Cracks can’t hurt me, I promise."
"Really?"
"Really," Natasha assured you. "I’ll be home soon, and I can’t wait to see you. I love you so much, Y/N."
"I love you too, Mama," You said, a smile finally breaking through your tears.
Bucky ended the call and kissed the top of your head. "See? Mama's okay."
You nodded, your fear replaced by relief. "Okay, Daddy. Thank you."
Bucky hugged you tightly, grateful that the immediate crisis had been averted. "Of course, baby doll. Now, let’s go back outside and play. I'll make sure no more cracks sneak up on you."
You giggled loudly, the sound like music to Bucky's ears. “Sneaky cracks! Tell Uncle Tony to fix ‘em!”
Bucky laughed and took your hand, leading you back outside. “Yeah, we’ll tell Uncle Tony, he needs to get on top of these things.”
Hand in hand, You headed back out into the sunshine. Bucky made sure to steer you away from the cracks as the two of you played some hopscotch.

Daddy Issues
Tumblr media
Natasha X Reader
Inspired by the song Daddy Issues by the Neighbourhood.
Warnings: Physical Abuse, Trauma, Difficult Childhood, Hurt/comfort, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Panic Attacks.
Please consider these Warnings before reading. This is a Mature Rated Fic.
Y/n was the newest member of the avengers team and Natasha was very intrigued by the young woman. She was always on guard and had a mask similar to the spy to not let their true emotions show. Curious as to why, Natasha watched the woman with caution, her instinct to not trust and find out the truth had gotten the better of her. But the truth would affect her more then she realised.
Daddy stuck around but he wasn't present Cheated on your mom but she never left him
The Avengers were sat around the kitchen ready for breakfast when Clint said, “God this tastes exactly what my old man used to make,” his tone nostalgic as he remembered his father making him breakfast. The team laughed and started to talk about their own childhoods due to prompt from the archer. You tensed slightly at the topic but made sure your walls stayed high as you didn’t need anyone knowing. However you failed to notice a certain redhead saw how you started to just push your food around on your plate and remained quiet. Not wanting to be there anymore, you made a reasonable excuse to leave and smiled at everyone before leaving raising no suspicions from anyone else.
First I didn't get it, now I understand
“What’s that now? Like 10-0?” the spy teased as she had once again pinned you to the training mats. You huffed out in annoyance as you hated training with Natasha as it always ended in teasing and you on the floor is positions way too familiar, except you knew she would never purposely hurt you. Not like he did.
“What’s that from?” She questioned while seeing the large scar on your stomach as your loose t-shirt had ridden up while being thrown on the floor.
“Just a silly accident as a child.” You quickly brushed the subject aside while pulling the ends of the black fabric down to cover it. Natasha saw the ways your eyes flickered with fear and conflict before your mask once again came back up.
“Oh ok,” she said, acting convinced for you to believe her, “Want to go again? Maybe you’ll land a hit this time.” Her tone mocking in a playful way but it only brought you another painful memory.
You heard shouting coming from downstairs before a little knock at your door. Your younger brother peaked his head around the door, his eyes full of fear.
“Y/n?” his voice barely above a whisper as he came into the room searching for his older sister.
“Hey I’m right here,” you softly spoke to him, attempting to calm him down as you could see how scared he was. “Why don’t you spend the night in my room?” you asked while pulling him in for a gentle embrace. You felt a little nod against your chest and pulled him into your bed. “You stay right there for me ok? You’re safe in here, he won’t get you. I won’t let him.” You pulled back to see tears threatening to fall but he nodded once again before you went to leave the room.
“Y/n please don’t go. He’ll hurt you again,” he pleaded as you reached for the door handle.
“It’s ok Y/b/n. I need to help mommy,” you turned to look at him curled in your duvet, “I’ll be fine.”
When you reached downstairs all you could smell was alcohol as you saw him. Your father was screaming at your mother as her hand rubbed over the red handprint across her face.
“Get the fuck away from her,” you spat as you ran over to your mother and pushed the man out of your way.
“You want to say that again you little bitch,” he growled as he shoved you away from your mother.
“I said get the fuck away from her!” you shouted, the rage that was bottled up inside you was now spilling out.
“I’d like to see you try and land a hit on me you pathetic little bitch,” he snarled while taking a swig of the bottle of alcohol in his hand before advancing towards your sobbing mother again. With all your strength you pushed him over before he could swing the bottle at your mother. You didn’t register anything till you saw the panic in your mothers eyes and the sinister look on his face before feeling a sudden pain along your stomach and your shirt becoming wet and sticky.
“Y/n?” questioned the spy as you had zoned out after her question.
“Huh,” you looked at her before replying, “Oh. Uh no thanks, I’ve had enough for today.” You smiled at her while rubbing the back of your neck, your nails digging into the skin there to punish yourself you being so vulnerable. “I’m going to go now Nat. Thanks for training,” you smiled at her before leaving her alone in the gym.
He broke her heart, left money in her hand So everything got paid for
“So Y/n, what’s your favourite childhood memory?” asked Tony as the whole team were enjoying a nice night in, sharing stories to provide entertainment.
“There’s so many how could I choose?” you lied while laughing with the others, trying your best to avoid the subject.
“Come on,” Tony said with a hint of stubbornness in his tone, “There’s got to be one that’s your favourite?”
“Yeah come on Y/n,” spoke a few other Avengers
“Ok, ok,” you raised your hands in defeat as you thought carefully, trying to find a happy memory. “It was my little brothers birthday and my mother and father gave us money to go to the local fair with,” you started trying to talk about your father in a way that didn’t seem like he ruined your life when that’s all he did, “He wanted to go on every single ride with me and practically dragged me around the place,” you laughed at the memory of seeing his face, his smile bright enough to light up a room. “But we went on this one ride that was too much for him and he swore to me he would never go on a ride ever again,” you chuckled at remembering his pale face as if he had just done the scariest thing in the world.
“Hey you ok?” you asked as he stumbled off the ride, a little smile on his face.
“Yeah I’m fine,” he gasped out while walking with you to exit the ride, “ I am never going on another ride ever again,” he exclaimed while looking at you. You raised your eyebrow at his suggestion before he quickly said, “Hey I’m being serious! That was terrifying!” you laughed at his seriousness before giving him a side hug and looking for your parents. After scanning the crowd you saw your father talking to another woman, his hands on her waist and a flirtatious look in his eyes. You looked past him to see your mother stood alone smoking, looking as if she was about to cry on the spot. You suggested to your brother that you could go find a game to play to avoid him seeing your parents.
A hand on your leg snapped you back to your thoughts. Natasha saw how after a moment or two of remembering the event your smile seemed to falter so she tried to bring you back to reality.
“Seems like someone was enjoying the memory too much,” she joked before changing the subject to spare you. After a while you slipped out of the room and no one seemed to notice. Well except for a certain redhead.
A few weeks later you found yourself at one of Starks after parties along with your team mates who had all seemed to had a bit to drink from the earlier main party. You were the only one there who hadn’t drunk anything alcoholic as you refused to drink anything like that. You zoned out while everyone started to talk as this wasn’t one of the things you liked to do. You started to pay attention to what was happening when you heard two male voices starting to get louder. You gripped the arm of the sofa you were sat in while your leg started to bounce slightly in anxiety. When Tony and Steve had started to properly argue and shout at each other you felt your thoughts spiralling out of control. Flashes how he would shout at you mother filled your brain, how he would beat her for wanting the best for their children, no her children, he had lost the title of being your father the first time he hit your mother. Other painful memories invaded your brain such as how he would hit you, pin you to the ground and do unimaginable things to a child and laugh as he saw your brother and mother shy away in fear. Your breath started to quicken and your hands started to tremble so you decided you needed to leave the room as quick as possible.
Suddenly you stood up and left the room as everyone was preoccupied with stopping the super soldier and billionaire from fighting. You managed to get to the roof of the compound, the place where you would go if anything became too much such as now, before your legs gave way and you collapsed against the wall. You let your body take control as you couldn’t keep the emotions in anymore. Your whole body violently shook as you sobbed into your hands.
All you could see was him. His face. His hands as he held you down. The screams of your mother. Your screams. The silhouette of your younger brother watching. The smell of alcohol. The feeling of pain. The feeling of when he would-
“Y/n…” Natasha’s tone was laced with fear as she saw you against the wall. After seeing you leave when the boys had started to fight she seemed to piece together an idea of what had happened to you and went to check on you. You didn’t look up when you heard her you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. What would she think of you now? A weak girl troubled by her past? A pathetic excuse of a person? A waste of space? She stepped towards you to try and comfort you but you flinched away at the sound of her footsteps.
“Please,” you sobbed out, ”Please leave me alone,” you begged, “Please don’t hurt me,” you croaked out before glancing at her feet to see where she was.
And when you told me the whole story I felt like throwing up
“Y/n,” she softly whispered, “Its me Nat. I’m not going to hurt you I promise.” You looked up slowly to see the spy through your tear filled eyes.
“Nat?” your voice shakily asked.
“Yeah it’s me. Can I come closer to your?” She watched as you tensed up before nodding at her request, your eyes meeting hers.
I can see it on your face it was rough Left a bad taste on your tongue
She slowly walked towards you and crouched next to you so you could see where she was without raising your head too much. “Hey its ok Y/n,” she cooed causing you to relax, “I’ve got you now. Your safe.” She repeated the phrase again and again till your sobs turned to whimpers and your body wasn’t shaking as much. “Can I touch you?” she whispered scared if she spoke too loud you would feel scared again. You weakly nodded and she gently cupped your face with her hands and wiped away the tears on your face.
And she didn't even take any drugs She would rain all day Couldn't wait for her sun to shine
You looked into her green eyes expecting to see disappointment or even disgust but all you saw was love and care. You hesitantly reached forward with your hands, wanting to hold her close and find comfort in someone but you stopped. You didn’t want to cross any boundaries with her as you thought it was bad enough that she was seeing you like this. Picking up on what you wanted, she carefully moved her hands around your shoulders and pulled you into her lap. She held you close and tightly as you started to cry into her neck. You murmured apologies against her skin until she told you it wasn’t your fault. You stayed quiet after that and just held onto her. She didn’t realise how much you needed her but she was happy to stay with you through it all.
And you made it shine There when she cried, you saved her life

Christmas with the moms

Tumblr media
Y/n POV
I sat staring at the giant green tree in front of me, unsure of what was going on. My moms had mentioned something about Christmas but I had no idea what that was. When they came in carrying a couple of boxes I finally looked up at them in confusion. “What is all this again?” I asked quietly, picking at my finger nails. I hated that i didn’t know what this was because it seemed so normal for everyone else.
“It’s Christmas detka.” Wanda said distracted as she put the box down and opened it up looking through. I simply hummed as Natasha did the same. They started placing little figurines and balls on the tree as well as some lights.
I didn’t know what to say. What to do besides watch them. Natasha put on some music that kept mentioning this Christmas thing. I had a faint smile on my face as i watched the two of them dance around together as they placed things all around the room.
It wasn’t until Wanda spotted me that she paused, looking at me quizzically, her head tilting slightly, confusion all over her face. “Why aren’t you helping detka?”
“I- well i-“ I stuttered out trying to blink back the tears that were forming. “I-“ I picked at my nails as i dropped my gaze, the tears finally breaking through. How could i tell them i have no idea what they are talking about or what’s going on? It seems like such a normal thing. The rest of the team had been talking about it recently as well. I was the only one who didn’t understand.
I felt a pair of hands grab mine as my vision blurred from the tears. One of the hands cupped my chin and pulled my head up to face them, I blinked once allowing the tears to fall and saw the face of my sokovian mother. “Darling. What’s going on? Why the tears?”
We both looked over at Natasha when we heard her whisper. “She doesn’t know what Christmas is… how could I forget?” She sat beside me, and placed an arm over my shoulder. “I am so sorry malyshka. I should have remembered.” I nodded looking back down at my hands that were currently being held by Wanda’s soft hands, her thumb stroking the back of my hand subconsciously.
“In the r- that place where i was raised, we didn’t do christmas. i didn’t have a life before there…” I muttered, more tears falling, sniffling afterwards. Wanda almost fell, barely catching herself as she looked at me. “It looks fun I just… don’t know what to do.” I shrugged.
“Oh detka… i didn’t know… i’m so sorry…” Wanda said cupping my face, her thumb wiping the tears. “It’s alright. We’ll tell you all about it. Hmm?”
I felt Natasha hold me just a little tighter as I nodded looking at my blue eyed mother. “Please momma.” A small smile graced her face as she sat on the other side of me.
They explained the story of how christmas came to be and I was left with more questions. “So… we celebrate for what exactly?” I asked, my brain going a mile a minute.
“We, as your parents, celebrate Christmas for being together, for getting to be our family and be with each other. For love and happiness. This year, we’re celebrating you detka. Your first christmas with us, you being our daughter.” Natasha said tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
I smiled widely at that and looked up at them. “To being together.” I whispered before throwing myself into her arms. “A family mama.”
“A family malyshka.” She responded, kissing my head. Wanda then pulled me over and kissed my head as well.
“For everything you have overcome this year. And your life.” She said smoothing my hair down. I nodded looking over at the tree that they finished. “We’re just missing the star at the top of the tree detka. Would you like to put it on?” Wanda asked walking over to the box. She pulled out a silver star with gold details on it.
Natasha’s POV
Wanda and I were so excited for our first christmas with our daughter. We had brought the tree yesterday and today we brought out the decorations. “What is all this again?” I heard a soft whisper come from the young girl on the couch.
“It’s christmas detka.” Wanda replied as she dug through the box she had brought in. I went over to the radio after hearing a small hum and put on a christmas music playlist. Wanda and I started decoration the tree, we got so caught up with the music and dancing and decorating, neither of us noticed that y/n wasn’t helping.
Wanda stopped and tilted her head making me stop. “Why aren’t you helping Detka?” She asked, I turned to face the young girl and my heart froze as her green eyes teared up.
“I well- I” She looked down and i noticed tears starting to fall. “I-“ My heart stopped as I realized what was happening. She didn’t know. She didn’t know what christmas was or the traditions or anything. Of course she doesn’t. She was raised purely in the red room. Like me, she had no life before and unlike me, she never went on missions that were over a christmas.
“She doesn’t know what Christmas is… how could I forget that?” I muttered, a lump forming in my throat. How could I have forgotten? That was such a rookie move! She must feel awful! I ran over to her and sat beside her, one arm naturally drifting up and holding her shoulders. “I am so sorry malyshka. I should have remembered.”
“In the r- that place where i was raised, we didn’t do christmas. I didn’t have a life before there…” She mumbled, Wanda stumbled when she heard that. “It looks fun I just… don’t know what to do.” She shrugged slightly making my arm go up slightly.
“Oh detka… i didn’t know… i’m so sorry…” Wanda said cupping her face, her thumb wiping the tears. “It’s alright. We’ll tell you all about it. Hmm?”
I pulled our daughter a little closer to me as she stared at my girlfriend with hope in her eyes. “Please momma.” Wanda smiled as she sat next to the girl.
Wanda’s POV
My heart shattered as the sweet girl in front of me told me about not knowing about Christmas.
After we told her about christmas, she naturally had some questions. “So… we celebrate for what exactly?” She asked and i could practically see her brain going a mile a minute.
“We, as your parents, celebrate Christmas for being together, for getting to be our family and be with each other. For love and happiness. This year, we’re celebrating you detka. Your first christmas with us, you being our daughter.” Natasha said tucking a strand of hair behind our daughter’s ear. My heart melting at the words she spoke.
Y/n smiled widely at that and looked up at us. “To being together.” She whispered before throwing myself into Nat’s arms. “A family mama.”
“A family malyshka.” Nat responded, kissing her head. I then pulled her over and kissed her head as well.
“For everything you have overcome this year. And your life.” I said smoothing her crazy hair down. She nodded looking over at the tree that we had finished. “We’re just missing the star at the top of the tree detka. Would you like to put it on?” I asked walking over to the box. I smiled and pulled out a silver star with gold details on it. A star that reminded me of our beautiful girl.
“We had it specially made for this year.” I said looking at the three initials engraved into the middle. N, W, Y. Our little family.
Y/n looked up at me and cautiously stood, making her way over to me, i held it down so she could see and the biggest smile we had seen in a while graced her face. “That’s my initial there too!” She said, her eyes shining like the star she now held in her hands. She looked excitedly between Natasha and I before she looked up at the tree.
Nat came over and scooped her up, placing her on her shoulder, a squeak coming from the younger girl. She placed the star on top and as Nat put her down, i wrapped my arms around her and pressed a kiss into her hair. “Perfect. Just like our girl.”

Summary: Natasha adopted you from the Red Room when you were only a baby, but when she and Bucky had their own child, she started forgetting about you.
Part 2
"I hate you!" You shouted, slamming the door behind you
"Y/N, we're not done!" Natasha, your mother, shouted from downstairs "Get back here!"
This was a daily occurrence by now.
The, once nonexistent, daily arguments between you and Natasha only got worse over the years.
Although Natasha isn't your biological mother, she raised you like her own after she saved you from the Red Room.
You were only 2 months old when she adopted you and everything went well. You both formed a happy little family for a while.
That was until Natasha started dating Bucky a little after your 10th birthday and she slowly started spending less and less time with you.
But not Bucky was the factor that determined your mother-daughter relationship with Natasha to drift apart.
The main reason behind everything was your 5-year-old baby sister, Tanya, who came into the world a few months after Natasha and Bucky started dating, with a little bit of help from Tony and his technology that, nowadays, seems to defy all odds.
Tanya's arrival only strengthened the bond between her parents, who had a romantic history that started years before even you were born, and, at the same time, weakened the bond between you and Natasha.
You knew the drill by now.
'Tanya is perfect.'
'Tanya is ours.'
'Tanya is innocent.'
Their voices echoed in your brain like a broken record.
Tanya knows that she can get away with everything and Tanya does get away with everything.
Since her birth, it was as if Natasha had completely forgotten about your existence.
It began by ignoring you while she focused her attention solely on Tanya.
She wouldn't feed you anymore, wake you up for school, or cuddle you at night.
She didn't even notice that you changed.
But, how could she, when Tanya was everything she noticed?
You stared at yourself in the mirror.
Determination was etched on your pale face as you picked up the blade that was on your sink.
It became a relief for you.
Sliding that blade on your wrist helped you forget about the unbearable pain in your chest.
The crimson blood that was pooling from the cuts held your attention. The pain of being abandoned by two different mothers was momentarily shoved at the back of your mind.
You started harming yourself 2 years ago when you couldn't take Natasha's ignorance any more.
You haven't told anyone and it's not like they would care if they knew anyways. Tanya was the center of their world, not you.
She was the perfect baby, while you were the adopted bastard and a grand mistake that Natasha made.
Natasha never admitted it out loud but you understood the message from the way she was treating you.
The blade fell down from your hand into the sink.
'Is it all because she never gave birth to me?'
And you stared at the trail of blood it left on the white sink.
'Are adopted kids not important, just because they're not blood related?'
You slowly understood.
'Will I ever be treated the same as Tanya?'
The only one left to understand was Natasha.
"Y/N, do you want to play with my dolls later?" Tanya asked you a few hours later, during dinner
You pulled at the sleeves of your hoodie even more, hiding your hands inside of them.
"Sure, Tatu." You gave the small child a shy smile "I think I'd like that."
"Tatiana." Natasha sternly looked at Tanya but the tone of her voice was soft "Remember we have a movie night tonight. You can play with Y/N another time."
"Can Y/N come too?" Tanya's big, innocent eyes sparkled while she asked, as Natasha refilled the girl's glass of orange juice
"I think she has more important things to do." Natasha replied, not even bothering to ask what you want "We're going to have a mother-daughter night. It's going to be just us two, sweetheart. Wouldn't it be fun?"
"Yay!" Tanya cheered, throwing her arms in the air
But as she did, she accidentally knocked over the glass filled with juice.
"Oh oh..." Tanya said, looking at the spilled juice "Sorry, Mama."
"Don't worry, baby girl." Natasha smiled, sitting up to clean the mess "Accidents happen."
"That's not what you said the last time when I accidentally knocked over my glass of water." You bitterly spat out at Natasha
"You have no right to talk, Y/N." Natasha snapped at you "Shut up!"
"Natalia, honey, calm down." Bucky, who was sitting beside Natasha, put his hand on her arm "She didn't do anything wrong. She's just a kid."
"She's not a kid, James." Natasha shouted, turning her head in Bucky's direction "She's a grown-up teenager now."
"Talia, I think you are just overreacting right now." Bucky kept trying to calm his wife, sparing a glance in your direction
He looked down at your plate that was untouched, the effect of your lack of appetite obvious on your skinny and fragile frame.
"I think I'm full." You quickly sat up from the table
"Sit back down, right in this instance, Y/N." Natasha shouted at you "You don't disrespect your mother like that and get away with it."
"Well, lately, you didn't act like a mother at all." You shouted back at Natasha, pain evident in your voice, but Natasha was oblivious to it "All you care about is Tanya."
"Because she's my child!" Natasha screamed offended "It's only normal to care for her."
"I used to be your child as well!" You shouted, tears forming in your eyes "I still am your child."
"You're not mine!" Natasha shouted and you widened your eyes shocked "You're not anything to me! You aren't my child because you don't have my blood. I didn't carry you or feel you grow day by day inside of me. But with Tanya, I did. You are just a mistake, Y/N!"
"You are the mistake here, Mom!" You cried, slightly lifting your sleeves as Bucky's eyebrows shot in his hairline "Look!" You showed your scarred wrists to the woman "This is all because of you! Why can't you love me like any mother should do? Blood shouldn't be important! You raised me, Natasha."
Bucky reached his metal arm slowly towards your extended arms to inspect your wrists but he was pushed aside by Natasha, who blocked out the fact that you were hurting because of her and ignored the truth, her intrusive thoughts winning as she said something she would never be able to take back.
"You were never truly a part of this family, Y/N!" Natasha shouted "Get that in your head. You are not our blood and you will never be. I saved you because I thought that you would change but I see that you didn't. You are the same. But I did change. I am not the same Natasha that I was in the Red Room. I am better."
Shaking your head, you took a few steps backward.
"I can't believe you." You whispered in disbelief
"Y/N..." Bucky breathed out, sitting up from his chair "Don't listen to your mother, she's just tired. She didn't mean what she said."
"She knew damn well what she was saying." You kept shaking your head, a lone tear falling down your cheek
"Then get that in your head once and for all." Natasha shouted once more, stubbornly fixated on her wrong belief that she was right
"I hate you!" You shouted at Natasha "I wish you never rescued me from the Red Room!"
And with that, you stormed out of the house and ran into the veil of darkness provided by the night.
Bucky tried to run after you but it was too late.
He found no sight of you or any clue where you might have run away to.
Bucky walked inside the house and looked at Natasha who was still oblivious to the damage she had done and muttered one question.
"What have you done?!"
