With your help, CRY aims at reaching more children to help rescue and rehabilitate them, thus ensuring they attend school rather than engage in labour, thus giving them a chance at a better future.

SUMMARY: Although a kind-hearted man attempts to help a young woman who seems to be a victim of abuse, her strange demeanour indicates that she holds a dark secret; when she moves in with him, her evil and possessive traits threaten his future.

extract from my journal #1
29th march 2024 (i was 15 writing this)
I can never truly forgive my mother for the abuse she put me through. I mostly can’t remember it but some nights it comes back to me vividly. I close my eyes and her sadistic comments and mean face and raised foot flashes before me. I may try to enjoy good moments with her now, but that’s it. I will never truly be the good daughter she keeps yelling at me to be because in my mind, she’ll never be a mother who deserved to be a mother. I don’t care that it’s normalized here in India to beat your child if she eats her food too slow, if she gets a lot of questions wrong in math, if she accidentally breaks a pretty ceramic plate. I don’t care!! She prides herself on not doing other totally normalized but wrong things so why couldn’t she just… not hit her child?? I don’t care that she’s stopped for the last few years because I am now too old to be beaten. The fearful and flinching reaction is still ingrained into me. Not even one shitty half-assed apology was said to me. And she tells me I’ll regret talking back to her… no bitch where’s your regret for physically abusing your child?? Never any blood, sure, but I still remember the one time that one hit made my glasses skid under the T.V. stand. What about that trauma? And the worst part is that I know she loves me, and loved me then, and that technically it is all a bad mistake made repeatedly that she’s learnt from, but I still haven’t magically gotten over it. I’m not sure I ever will, and that’s scary, because I love my mother too. I don’t want to talk to her, I want to move out for college, I can’t stand living with her, but I love her. I don’t like her, I don’t think she likes me either, but I love her, and I know she loves me…

What are the Signs and Impacts of Bullying?
Many Indian parents think that bullying is something that happens only in Western countries, and they can’t be blamed because they didn’t experience it when they were kids. But just because they haven’t experienced it does not mean that it does not exist. In reality, bullying is damaging the lives of children throughout the world, including in India.

kota, india has so many suicides from teenagers it's unbearable
where i live currently i almost always see another death of someone due to shame surrounding bad test scores, trapped in a marriage due to culture, or suffering trauma symptoms
anyone who makes fun of POC abuse, ESPECIALLY if you are a POC yourself, deserves to have the blindfold and sigma fe/male ideology ripped from their eyes and forced to feel it all
just because you had the social/friend network to tolerate abuse doesn't mean everyone can
if you were in my place you'd feel like me
there is a difference between strict parents and abusive parents, most of the south indian subcontinent is filled with abuse and horrible societal standards
if you've ever said "that's just how [insert race here] parents are" i hope you die a miserable fucking death filled with pain and suffering
When people say say child abuse is a thing of culture, they’re saying that as if that’s a defense? Not an undeniable fact that the entire culture is wrong and it’s time to end it and stop this? If you can’t build a culture that doesn’t revolve around child abuse, you don’t deserve to have one. If you can’t continue your culture without the child abuse, ditch it. Nothing is worth hurting the children for. Nothing is worth hurting the children.

NPR reported this morning that the teacher spoke out and said it wasn't religiously motivated.
Oh, I see. Well, that's okay then.
(No, it is not.)
