Burnt Toast and Vodka: Bandaids and Frisbees

a/n: hi! Back with another bestie!yelena drabble (i am thoroughly enjoying this little series)! This one was actually requested :) this is definitely not based around a true story of my life…not at all i hope you enjoy this <3

“Why would you do that?”

Yelena’s voice carried through the room, her incredulous and scolding tone sounding like a mother telling off her three year old for eating a nickel. You tried to answer but Yelena just flicked antiseptic in your face.

“No, I don’t want to hear it!” She continued to dab the little rag on the tiny cut above your eyebrow, huffing when you winced.

“I didn’t see it!”

Yelena threw her hands up in the air at your response, dropping the cloth dramatically.

“You didn’t see it? What, were you on your phone?”

“No!”

Yelena took in a deep breath, like she was preparing herself for her answer.

“Then how did you not see a frisbee being thrown at you?”

You huffed, crossing your arms.

“How was I supposed to know? It’s not like I’m constantly looking over my shoulder for plastic projectiles!”

Yelena pinched the bridge of her nose.

“Y/N, we were at a dog park. There’s tennis balls, frisbees, and rabid chihuahuas everywhere!”

“Rabid chihua-”

You were interrupted by Yelena, very firmly, pressing a bandaid above your eyebrow. You looked at her with an amused expression as she genuinely looked angry.

“Yelena, it’s a small scratch, why are you being so…” You waved your hand at her, “defensive?”

Yelena sighed, shaking her head.

“Because you got hurt and that bothers me. As your best friend, I am supposed to protect you!”

You paused, snickering slightly.

“From frisbees?”

Yelena scoffed and punched your shoulder, making you fall off the ottoman.

“Shut up.”

Kryto The Superdog: Mammoth Mutt

Here I'll finally be going over what is, to me anyway, a particularly interesting character for a few reasons in the big wide wonderful world of expansion - Mammoth Mutt.

Now, for most people who know the name, the first thing that comes to mind is that of the incarnation depicted in the Krytpo the Superdog cartoon, who could blow herself up to massive proportions with the irony of being a pink chihua. However, while I will be covering her many inflatable instances there, that's not the first or even second version to appear in a DC property.

The Mammoth Mutt character debuted decades ago in the comics with scant appearances, under two iterations at that. I'll be covering the comics, the TV show and the later crossover with Scooby Doo.

At first, Diluc thought Diona had finally taken down Mondstat’s wine industry. He couldn’t believe it when Elzer told him that Dawn Winery wasn’t making nearly as much profit as it had been a couple of months ago. He’d overlooked that a winemaker from Liyue had set up their business in the nation of freedom. Of course, Kaeya and the Knights of Favonious kept the warm-blooded man occupied with their nonsense. At least it was nonsense in his eyes. 

Diluc had set up a meeting with his business rival from Stone and Steady Winery. He hadn’t expected the owner to be small. He almost felt bad for looking so intimidating, but it wasn’t as if he could try and look friendly. He was dressed in all black. 

“You want to buy out my company?” Li Jing looked dumbfounded, ear twitching. 

“Yes, did you not hear me correctly?” 

Internally, Diluc was amused by how much his opponent was fidgeting. The brunette was looking around the room, unable to look him in the eye. 

“Why?” 

“It would be beneficial for both of us.” 

“Both of us?” Li Jing scoffed. “You’re a company native to Mondstat. The people will always love you and your brand. I’m a company that started in Liyue and decided to expand. I can’t help but think you’re jealous, Master Diluc.” 

“I don’t have time to be jealous of your company. Dawn Winery is well known, and if your alcohol is under our name, your company will be respected.” 

Li Jing rolled his eyes and laughed. 

“I can’t help but think you don’t want to share the spotlight.” 

Diluc narrowed his eyes. 

“You’re quite cocky. Did your mother teach you to speak with that mouth?” 

“No, but the Adeptus who took care of me did.” 

Li Jing sat on the edge of Diluc’s desk, tracing the wood with his finger. 

“This doesn’t seem like a business meeting. I’ve been to quite a few of them before.” 

“What are you trying to get at?” Diluc crossed his arms over his chest. 

“You have an ulterior motive.” 

“So what if I do?” Diluc chuckled. 

“I see you come into my shop every day. You don’t order anything, and you just sit there watching. What kind of weirdo are you?” Li Jing leaned forward. 

Papers, documents, and books were shoved off his desk. Diluc had the brunette pinned against the chihua wood, hands held behind his back. Li Jing gasped, trying to wiggle out of Diluc’s ass. Bunny ears pressed flat against his head. 

“Is that it? You just wanted to fuck your rival?” 

“Big talk for a pipsqueak like you.” Diluc chuckled, leaning down so his chest was pressed against his back, bucking his hips forward teasingly. 

“Sh-Shut up! I am not that short!” 

“You know, you speak too much. Perhaps I shut you up, yeah?” 

“Diluc– “ 

His words were ripped from him, and the redhead pounded into him from behind. A satisfied smirk found its way to his face as he relished the way Li Jing fell silent. He didn’t want to be in this scenario but couldn’t help it. There was just something so enticing about this. His rough hands grabbed the brunette by the waist to pull him closer. If possible, he wanted to make it so that neither of us knew where Diluc started, and Li Jing ended.

2 days ago you're talking about black and tan animals, when I was a wee kid I thought dobermans, miniature pinscher and rottweilers were kind of genetically similar, like closer breeds to each others than to other breeds... I only knew the name "doberman" too so I called them "bulky doberman" and "chihua-doberman"
