Fried Chicken and Waffles

Spicy friend chicken served with waffles covered in maple syrup.

There's a delicious new way to eat chicken and waffles with these sliders. Chicken tenders that have been breaded and fried are put between mini waffles and drizzled with maple syrup. The sweet and savory flavors go well together.

Ingredients: 1 lb chicken tenders. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 2 eggs, beaten. 1 cup breadcrumbs. 12 mini waffles. Maple syrup for serving. Butter for cooking.

Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Dip each chicken tender into the seasoned flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are evenly coated. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Cook the breaded chicken tenders for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. While chicken is cooking, toast the mini waffles according to package instructions. Once the chicken is cooked, assemble the sliders by placing a piece of chicken on a mini waffle, drizzle with maple syrup, and top with another mini waffle to create a sandwich. Secure each slider with a toothpick. Serve warm and enjoy!
