And then he's forced to marry Svetlana and he says it's just a piece of paper. I go back and forth all the time about if he really thought that or if it was a defense mechanism or a rationalization or whatever you want to call it. Because he's in love with a boy and he's marrying a woman and as far as he knows then, that's how things are always going to be.

And then he comes out for that boy and tells him he loves him. And he says, "Thick and thin, good times, bad, sickness, health, all that shit," and of course he remembers those vows from his wedding but maybe those words could actually mean something with someone like Ian.

And when Ian mocks him for it? When he says, "You gonna marry me? We gonna go down to the courthouse in some tuxes like a couple old queens?" What do you think that feels like, to have someone you’ve risked literally everything for throw that back at you?

Note: I am not mad at Ian for this because he was going through it to say the least so please do not think I'm attacking him for this.

Then of course there’s the whole season 10 arc with the courthouse and Byron and my thoughts on that are probably a separate issue but I will say this: he probably thinks it’s really happening. He’s been in love with Ian Gallagher for going on 10 years and they’re at the courthouse and they’re getting legally married, then that falls through, and Mickey says, “You’re just saying you don’t love me enough now.” (And again, Ian’s got his own stuff and I’m not mad at him for this either.) But he’s given his all for this man and Ian won’t even call it an engagement ring or wear it on his finger.

Someone else made a post recently about Mickey’s insecurity in their relationship (if you find it before me please remind me who it was!!! EDIT: it was @zutaralesbian) and they’re right! Obviously the man has hope and love but WOW do you think he ever felt like Ian didn’t love him as much? In the season 6 prison visit or with the parole hearing or outside Byron’s little loft?

he’s spent years yearning for ian, years of having ian, then losing him, and the idea of marriage is nice to him because it means they’re committed. the ring itself means they’re committed; and at the point where he obsesses over it, he isn’t too sure ian’s committed.

mickey’s last marriage was awful and traumatic, so not only the ring, but the entire wedding ceremony itself is important to him because he wants to make sure that this wedding counts. he didn’t get any say in the last one, and i don’t recall him having a ring, but if he did, i’m sure just looking at him made him nauseous, so it’s important to him.

the ring makes it all feel real, and i’m sure it doesn’t feel real. the fact that mickey gets to have a life with ian, fuck, he gets to have a husband- and the ring signifies that. so yeah, he obsesses over the ring, over the guest list, the flowers, and the chiavari chairs. it makes perfect sense. he gets to obsess over it. he gets to obsess over ian. and i love that for him.

THE WEDDING:

Aurelia Marchetti was walked down the aisle by her grandfather Luca Marchetti.

The ceremony was intimate, although she invited an extra 100 people just to show off, her future husband didn't have much of a problem with the number of guests, however, they both knew someone was missing.

Although Ashtray was alive, he couldn't attend the wedding, due to the number of eyes that were on the event, so they couldn't risk the 14-year-old's arrest.

Fezco wished his brother was there to be his best man, however, Gia was on facetime with him the entire time, making sure he saw everything.

Mckay was one of the groomsmen, along with some of Fezco's friends.

The wedding was in June, two months after Rory's 20th birthday and a couple of days after Fezco's 22nd birthday.

They had chosen a grand park to wed, it was decorated with bright white lights, which hung from the trees that surrounded the guests.

Basically like a twilight vibe...but without the supernaturals.

Wooden planks were placed over the forest floor, to create an aisle that the bride and bridesmaids could walk down.

Oakwood Chiavari chairs were sitting in perfect harmony on either side of the aisle, white doves flew across the sky, contrasting the black roses that were attached to each scrub and bush.

The alter held so much love, it was catching, some might say it was spreading through the light breeze that blew through the air.

The sun slowly set as the wedding started, it spread an orange hue throughout the event, rays spread and trailed over each chair, tree and guest, illuminating each joyful face that they could reach out and touch.

The soft tunes of a harp sung 'stand by me', which played throughout the venue.

Maddy was appointed the maid of honour, Gia, Rue, Kat were bridesmaids, Lexi and Faye wanted to be in charge of the wedding, so they didn't accept the offer to be bridesmaids.

The duo needed everything to be perfect, surprisingly Rory was calm when it came to planning, mainly because her fiancé always whisked her off in secret, distracting her from her bridely duties.

During the planning time, Faye and Lexi had discovered their feelings toward one another, so planning a wedding did help with their inevitable union.

2-year-old Alonzo happily accepted his role as ring bearer because he wanted attention from the guests as well as his parents, despite always getting it.

Everyone adored the concentrated look on his face when he approached the couple, he wanted to be the perfect son.

He wore a similar black 3 piece suit to his father, he walked down the aisle with Woody, who was no longer a puppy and was 4 years old.

The brown labrador was on his best behaviour, he kept his barking to a minimum so he wouldn't ruin the day.

When Luca walked his little girl down the aisle, he was apprehensive about giving her away, but he knew she was in good hands.

He had to force back his tears, knowing that she would cry if she saw them.

However Fezco cried when he saw his future wife, her white rosed embroidered lace dress flowed out and would've swept the forest floor, if it wasn't for her bridesmaids, who followed her and held up the tail of her dress whilst carrying black roses, which were also decorated around the ceremony.

Two cornrows sat at the top of Rory's head, gold cuffs clung to them, whilst her natural curls fell below her bust. Her engagement bracelet sat comfortably on her left wrist along with the Dior bracelet that matched Maddy's.

Both she and Fezco wore their matching chains.

The bridesmaids wore lilac dresses that catered to their body shape, Kat's had sleeves and stopped at her thighs, Rue had straps, however, hers stopped at her ankles, similar to Gia's who wore a mid-length dress.

Maddy's stood out and caught the eyes of many onlookers, including a certain Jones boy. Her dress was violet, complimenting her tanned skin, the sleeves hung off her shoulders and she had a slit that showed off one of her legs.

The bride and groom struggled to get their vows, the temptation to kiss one another was too strong and of course, the beautiful words that were spoken, caused tears to escape their eyes as well as their friends and family.

"Aurelia, my Lia, you and our son are everything to me, I think of you from the moment I wake up, to the moment I fall asleep, your face stays with me in my dreams and you always help me escape from my nightmares.

I don't think I could ever imagine a world without you, I don't wanna fuckin' do that... my bad, let me not curse in front of a priest."

"I promise that you can always rely on me, trust me and love me because I'm with you until the end of the line baby,"

Fezco knew his vows would never match Rory's but he had to try, he meant every syllable, vow and word.

Ashtray helped him write them, knowing that his brother would probably write something inappropriate and since his nephew was present he didn't want anything bad to be said.

"Fezzy, I'm so grateful for you coming into my life, you instantly made me smile, laugh and fall in love with you. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have met my little brother and we would never of had Lonzo."

"I can't wait to finally be your wife even though we've basically been married for 4 years already. Baby trust you with my life, my soul and my body...definitely my body, yikes sorry father."

"You're my soulmate, in more ways than one. I love you, I always have and I always will Fezco."

People laughed and struggled to hold back their tears during their vows.

When Alonzo gave his parents their rings and made his way back to his godparents, the new married couple shared a passionate and sensual kiss.

They almost forgot that they were in public until the guest began to cheer, clap and whoop in celebration.

THE RECEPTION:

The night had moved fully over the Marchetti household, the mansion was packed. The wedding guests partied in the main areas of the house, the dining room was converted into a giant hall for the day.

The living room and the kitchen were also occupied by many guests, Rory danced with many of her friends, including her 2-year-old son, who eventually went on to dance with many of the female guests.

Alonzo loved the attention he received, being the centre of attention was his goal for the day, despite knowing that it should be on his parents.

He might've only been a toddler but he was aware of the importance of the day, but he didn't care, all he wanted to do was play with the animals that were in the garden, as Luca made sure to have a mini petting zoo for the child.

Fezco watched from afar with a smile as his wife conversed with Gia and her other bridesmaids, discussing their future weddings.

Although the reception was only supposed to contain the guest that they had invited, some neighbours decided to turn up, and since the new married couple were in great spirits, they let them attend.

'90s R&B played throughout the home, Rory had never felt happier.

Although she wished that Ashtray was here, he was practically on the phone with his girlfriend the entire night, so he was there both virtually and in spirit.

"You did a great job, today son," Luca approached the groom with a smile, and two glasses of Hennessy, giving one to the groom, who happily accepted it.

The Marchetti patriarch had just recently talked to Ali about endorsing the recovering addicts, sponsorship programme.

The two men had talked about how Ali wanted to inspire more hope into the minds of people who suffered from substance abuse and felt like they had no one who could or wanted to help them.

Luca made sure to set aside more time in his week so they could continue their discussion.

"Thank you," Fezco glanced at him with a grateful smile, he was no longer wearing his blazer, despite the sun setting, the temperature rose. the two men were standing outside in the garden, the 22-year-old, wanted to make sure that his son wasn't getting up to no good, luckily he had some of his godparents with him, along with a couple of the neighbour's kids. "Today has been crazy, but like a good kind of crazy,"

Luca nodded and clung to every word that his grandson in law spoke, "yeah just don't mess my little girl, kid, you know I have guns," they both started to laugh.

"Yeah I know you do, and I won't mess with Lia," Fezco grinned and shook his head, "my grandma would've loved you, man," he wished that she was here with him, but he knew that she was looking down or up from wherever she was spending the afterlife, "even with some of the shit you say, it's crazy how similar you guys are."

"Was she hot?"

"Imma pretend like you didn't ask that."

"My bad," Luca cringed and suppressed a chuckle, "but you know I'm kind of dating someone." he took a sip of his drink.

"What happened to the nurse you were seeing?" Fezco questioned, keeping his eyes on his son, who giggled and ran around the garden, as he was chased by some of the kids.

Luca shrugged, "she was a nice woman, but she was way too clingy." the 65 year old, tended to lose interest in people who he spent too much time with, it wasn't intentional, it just happened.

He was still friends with Nurse Vanessa, he even occasionally visited her during the night, but that was where their relationship cut off.

Fezco snickered, "Aint that a good thing sometimes?" he took a sip of his drink, he didn't want to drink too much as he wanted to remember the day.

He didn't really want Rory to drink, because he had plans for their honeymoon. He needed her to be in the right state of mind when they started their activities.

She only started drinking again because Alonzo had recently stopped breastfeeding.

"No." Luca scoffed and downed the rest of his drink, he already scoped out a recently divorced mother, who was his neighbour; Ciara Jones, who he talked to quite a lot.

Ciara reminded him a lot of Angela Bassett, and boy did everyone know he had a crush on her. The famous actress was someone he wanted to meet, despite her having a husband, he still wanted to marry her.

"Lia's clingy," Fezco commented, he loved that she was clingy, it gave him some sort of reassurance.

He always reciprocated the attention she gave him and now that they had already expanded their family, he gave it to his baby boy as well.

"Yeah because she's a demented child." the two men snickered at Luca's words.

Fezco nodded in agreement, "Word."

"You're not supposed to agree," Luca flicked his grandson in-laws ear, who hissed at the contact, "she's my granddaughter."

"She's my wife," Fezco said with a smug smile.

Rory had changed out of her wedding dress and was now wearing her evening dress, the cream colour complimented her skin, and the satin dress ended below her calves.

She loved the thin straps that held it up.

Of course, Maddy and Kat picked it out at the wedding shop, knowing Fezco wouldn't be able to keep his eyes off of her, which he didn't.

The groom was currently sitting with Suze Howard and Ethan, the three were talking about the new show that he and Lexi wanted to produce.

Rory did invite Cassie to her wedding because she wanted to move on from that stage in her life and no longer held a grudge.

The oldest Howard sister couldn't attend because she was currently filming a new reality TV show, but she sent a couple of wedding gifts.

Gia, Mckay and Leslie were all giggling by the chocolate fountain, the pro football player had offered to give them free tickets for his next game, which they had happily accepted.

The McKay twins were currency being scolded by their parents, they kept on requesting inappropriate songs and annoying the DJ.

Rue was currently wearing a scowl, Jules, Faye and Lexi were all laughing at her as she attempted to trip up the 2-year-old with who she had been arguing all night.

"Rue stop trying to fight my son," Rory yelled over to the girl, Maddy had captured the moment, along with Kat and BB, most of the guests were laughing at the scene.

Rory wanted to as well, but she didn't need anyone to judge her parenting skills.

"He started it." Rue whined and pointed at the grinning 2-year-old,  "he tried taking my juice."

The oldest Bennett sister wasn't tempted by any alcohol in the room, despite being surrounded by it.

Rory checked if she was okay with alcohol being at her wedding because she didn't want her relapsing again, however, Rue said it was perfectly fine because she had been doing great for while.

At social events, she usually drank water or juice and discovered that she still had fun being completely sober.

Well, that was until a certain Marchetti toddler tried drinking her apple juice, despite having a crate of his own juice boxes.

Alonzo pouted and bowed his head,  "Papà said I can do whatever I want to, only if I can get away with it." the 2-year-old sniffled, causing everyone to look at him in adoration.

The toddler managed to weave his way through the crowd and jump on his great grandfather's lap, joining in the conversation he was having with Ethan about adding more diversity to one of the shows he was starring in.

Rue threw her hands up in exacerbation and grabbed one of his juice boxes, without him seeing it and ran outside into the garden with Kat and BB in tow.

"Okay okay," Rory cut him off, he laughed cheekily, "but just wait until later."

He leaned forward, his lips grasped her ear, "But I know how wet my wife is." he bit down on her lobe.

She moaned, when she felt his bulge rub against her core, "I love when you say that, say it again."

"Fuckin' menace," he muttered, shaking his head, with an adoring smile as he watched her retrieving figure.  Fezco turned his head when he heard loud noises coming from the garden, "Lonny, put that goat down and stop chasing your auntie Rue." he yelled at his son who pretended not to hear him.

FLORENCE ITALY:

"Baby I'm not having another kid for a while," Rory giggled from their hotel bed, Fezco had already taken off most of her clothes and was now kneeling on the floor, kissing up and down her thighs.

Fezco was only wearing his grey sweatpants, attempting to take off his wife's underwear.

Their honeymoon had just started.

Alonzo was staying with his godfather; Christopher, for the next couple of weeks until they returned.

The 2-year-old loved Mckay, especially because he loved playing football and swimming with the man.

Mckay couldn't wait to have children of his own.

"But why?" he whined and spread her legs more, licking his lips as if he was about to eat a feast.

Safe to say that the newlywed couple had joined the mile high club on the way to Italy.

"Because carrying Lonzo was a lot of effort and you know how bad that got," Rory had experienced preeclampsia during her pregnancy, her blood pressure was high due to stress.

Her family worried for her both her health as well as the baby.

Fezco never felt so guilty in his life, he couldn't really be there for her and was terrified that he would lose his family.

"I know ma," he stopped kissing her thighs, he stared into her brown eyes, "I'm sorry for not being there for you and Lonny." she watched pain flash through his eyes.

Rory pouted, "It's not your fault," she cupped his face, "it's no one's fault." she was just grateful she didn't experience postpartum depression.

Fezco sighed and pulled her closer, "If I didn't go inside, you wouldn't have to deal with that bullshit."

"Stop thinking about the shit we can't change." she whispered and kissed his forehead, "we're good now, I'm good now."

"I know it's just fucked up," he muttered, "it's just I want to be there for your next pregnancies," he said sadly, "I missed out on so much shit, I just wanna be there for everything."

He often worried that his son would grow up despising him for not being present in the early years of his life, due to being in prison.

He felt the need to overcompensate because he needed Alonzo to know that he will always have a father, something that Fezco had, but in the most toxic and abusive ways. 

Rory squinted her eyes at him,  "Why did you say pregnancies and not pregnancy?" his frown morphed into a smirk.

"You know I wanna have like 10 kids." he chuckled at her alarmed expression.

He always wanted to have a big family, live on the farm and be away from civilization, but he knew he had to be realistic.

Capri was close enough to his dream, he thought it was quite rural, the couple were moving to Italy in a couple of months, and the island was where Luca was born. 

"Nope."

"5 kids?" his hands moved up her thighs.

"Do you want me to say it in Italian, Spanish or French?" she scoffed and playfully pushed him back.

She watched as he lowered his head down and kissed her down her chest, sucking and nipping at her skin, "16?"

"Fuck no." she whimpered when he unclipped her bra and threw it across the bed.

"What about 4 more?" their lips met in a chaste kiss.

"You get pregnant then." she giggled at his faux offended expression.

"But I wanna give you more babies." he grabbed her hand and placed it on his bulge, he groaned when she started stroking his clothed length. "So many fuckin' more," he whined when she stopped her movements and leaned back on the bed.

She shrugged, "1 or 2 more."

"Bet." he reluctantly agreed, he noticed the way she looked him up and down, chewing on her lower lip,  "you know you like it when I'm on my knees for you." she allowed him to take off her thong and throw it to wherever her bra laid.

"Obviously," she grabbed the back of his neck and gently pushed his head down, "carry on." she started breathing heavily when he made eye contact with her and his breath fanned over her core.

"Whatever you say ma."
