I watched the Cars trilogy recently and with that came a wave of nostalgia and a strange desire to make my own designs for the cars as humans. Aka taking all the charm out of Cars but scratching the brain itch.
So, no need to drag out the intro any longer, I have some notes written out about em for those who might be interested or just bored.
Lightning McQueen:
I tried to make his suit look as professional as possible, with references pulled straight from McQueen's paint job/stickers, while also keeping in mind that I do intend to draw him more so I didn't want to go too crazy with the design. In a perfect world I would've let my maximalist cravings win, but alas let's keep it digestible for my sanity.
I feel like everyone's kinda on this unspoken agreement that McQueen as a human would pretty much look just like Owen Wilson, and that's the big picture here. I used Wilson as inspiration while tweaking and exaggerating a few things to my preference. (Okay, well not everyone, lmao.)
The chevron markings on the front cut off at the side seams not wrapping around the entire suit as to not clash with the sponsor logo on the back.
Also, he's wearing special gloves to help him grip & have control over the steering wheel. I think sometimes that looks a little weird when his sleeves are down & cuffed, but I just feel like he needs to have the gloves there— especially when he comes out of the top half of the suit. (It's also lowkey supposed to mirror his 4 tires when you consider his shoes are also black.)
So yeah, that's basically all I have to to say regarding Lightning McQueen's page. I feel like a lot of my design choices are self explanatory and, honestly probably shared universally... I mean, he's really cut & dry. (But I love him ⚡︎)
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
Mater:
I'm not gonna lie, Mater was a bit challenging for me. I definitely had to step out of my comfort zone but I wanted to stay true to the character and not butcher anything.
My first thought was to give him a fishing pole to substitute for the tow hook— but then the more I was thinking about it, the more that felt so... out of place? Radiator Springs is in Arizona, which is (not entirely, but mostly depicted in the movie as) a desert. And even though there are beautiful bodies of water in Arizona, in the movie I don't recall seeing any prominent ones, at least in relation to Mater. So, scratch that, instead I gave him a lasso, which isn't supposed to entirely substitute for the tow truck— no, he still drives a tow truck, but the lasso is so he can grab people/things similarly to Tow Truck Mater (very cartoony). My explanation for this is the cattle ranch. Yeah, Mater is a tow truck driver but perhaps he has a side hustle, or hobby, if you will.
Also, I didn't want to make him... dirty(??) Like, yeah, of course, Mater would obviously get a bit filthy from time to time, it's just in his nature, but that is NOT going to be the core of my design. In regards to the rust happening on him, I felt like instead I would substitute this with being very tan. Again, Arizona is a desert. Because of this, he would take off his shirt often, and this would substitute for the missing hood like on Tow Truck Mater. The removal of the shirt also reveals just how tan Mater actually is.
It's his uniformed overalls that have his original aqua color, but from years of wear & tear they've been patched up with brown patches, this would also reference the rusting. The one strap is supposed to mimic the one headlight being broken, and I know that's a stretch, believe me, I wanted to do something with his eyes but eyes are not the headlights in the Cars universe..... think about this. Think about it really hard... if you know what the headlights are in the Cars universe then this actually makes perfect sense.
He is taller and wider than McQueen, which is a reference to the literal frame of their vehicle counterparts. (A little hard to picture with these images, but eventually I'll draw them together!)
▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
That's all I have to say really, but do let me know what you guys think! Gas it up and it might encourage me to make a part 2 with some of the other characters! Who would you like to see next? ♡ Thank you so much for reading & have a great day, Kachow!!

Have you got any hcs you give to different frame types like in behaviours or habits and culture. Like miners, warframe.seekers, praxian etc.
I always find it so hard to find other world building lore and hcs on other frame types. Usually only seeker stuff which I love. Just don’t know anything about grounders.
Oh and if you know any places I can find some please recommend them. :]
I've been holding onto this ask for a little while and I really wanna do it well but. All I have concretely are seeker thoughts (._. )
Sooo time to wing it and talk about the few things that I do have! I could talk to you about the entire political sphere of Vos and the intricacies of its independent society, but... I don't have near as much detail and planning for any of the other cities. I guess the only ones that come close are Polyhex and Crystal City, but that's not what we're here for
I'm rambling. I'll stop now. ANYWAY. Thoughts about warframes... 🤔 admittedly these may not be very spicy, but have some more homey ones, typically set in the context before or void of their oppression:
- Warframes in general are very touchy but private people. Under unfamiliar eyes they may seem cold and apathetic or even disdainful, but in a comfortable social context they're actually rather tactile. Not just in the very tender ways seen among close family, but I'm more playful, heavy ways among friends. Many activities were social for them, and they tend to form strong bonds with their groups and clans. Bathing was one of the most common social activities, helping wash each other's backs and preening transformation seams.
- Frametypes best suited for mining really, really enjoy a good cave so long as it's not functioning as a prison. Many of them have very sensitive optics, meant to see in near complete darkness, so strobe lights or particularly bright sunshine will have them flinching back before their vision adjusts. Yoo long in too bright light can cause optic strain or even migraines, if they're unlucky. Caves are the perfect remedy for that, and most miners really love a dark, personalized place with natural walls on all sides and a ceiling above them. Perfect, dark, safe den
- Next is the Praxians. My most outstanding idea for them is that their chevrons and doorwings are very important sensory organs. Their wings function almost like a second pair of optics, reading changes in the wind and the airspace behind them, giving them a much more articulate awareness yo their surroundings than most. On the other side, their chevrons are very sensitive, packed with nearly 3x the normal amount of sensory nodes compared to the rest of their bodies. With it they can detect changing moisture or gases in the air, as well as more acutely hone in on scents and temperature changes. In Praxian families, the most intimate form of greeting or comfort is to press one's forehead against another's, letting their chevrons line up and gently touch. Done right, it can stimulate warmth and calm just as holding something warm in your hands can, and to touch someone's chevron without their position is the gravest insult
Sorry there's not more of these! I tried my best, so I hope you were at least a little entertained 😅 if you wanna chat more about any of these, you know where to find me ^-^

Bio on my second Tron OC (1982/Encom Grid), Val!!
Designation: Program (Encom Grid) Name: Val (Short for "Vending/Retail All-In-One Logistics", also a play on the name Valerie) Username: Her User is Tiffany (aka Tiff) Pronouns: she/her Age: (Complied sometime in the early 80s) Occupation: Retail Database Management, retail music play tracking.
Height: 5'7" / 171cm
Build: Average build, Slightly above average fat to muscle mass Hair: When she's not wearing a helmet: dark shade of gray (since it's the Encom grid), bangs, hair held in a high off-center ponytail by a circuit covered scrunchie. Eye color: dark gray Light line color: hot pink (like, OBVIOUSLY!) Appearance: Body-wise, Val shares the exact same appearance as Tiffany: Average, more on the curvy side. In most Games, she'll wear the typical warrior helmet, but outside of that (or in games that aren't as dangerous), she'll wear her hair out with a circuit-covered headband covering her forehead. Her outfit: A full-body grid suit, similar to most of the typical program outfits, except a lot more "thin" and with not too many circuitry patterns. Near the neckline, there's a circuit with a shape in the middle that gives off the impression of a necklace. Right above her knees, she has a circuit pattern that looks like a chevron. Over that, she wears a high-cut aerobics style leotard that has a bit more complex circuit patterns all along the length of the front. On the back, there are a few more patterns (including circular ring-like paths on each side contouring…umm… the butt shape). Over that, she has the typical warrior belt. On top, she wears an off-shoulder crop top made of a similar fabric to the warrior togas/loincloths. She also wears wrist gauntlets similar to Clu1, along with form-fitting gloves on her hands. On occasion, she will wear neon glowing "jelly bracelet"-like…bracelets that hang somewhat loose from the wrist guards (they're loose but they don't fall, almost like the bracelets are magnetic to the wrist guards. She has legwarmers similar to Yori, with a broad horizonal circuit stripe that encircles near the top of it. Her "shoes" under that look similar to a basic, digital version of Reebok high-tops, with no lacing. About: Val was compiled in Encom's mainframe, in a sector used for projects and more consumer-friendly programs. She was originally written to track retail clothing sales, which she thinks is like "so, TOTALLY cool to see trends and top sellers!" Over time, she gained new tasks from her user, including music jukebox play tallies, and even as a scheduling utility for aerobics classes. She befriended Clu1 from a chance encounter (he explained to her that his user Flynn was trying to fix some overcharges on some shirts.) She would occasionally accompany him in his tank on his many (not-so-legal) adventures to please Clu's user….. …and also because Val was TOTALLY hooking up with him constantly.
Personality: Val has the spirit of Tiffany embedded in her, and of course, that means she's an 80's valley girl at heart. She is high-energy, with a heavy valspeak accent (which translates into the system as program/grid twists on a few different sayings). She's always eager to meet new programs and recruit them into her friend circle. When she (or her friends) are intimidatedor threatened, she can become a ruthless Mean Girl (RIP to all the red warrior elites that crossed her path the wrong way). Sometimes her passions get the best of her, and she can get easily annoyed when things don't end up the way she had originally calculated. Despite being written for retail and basic music data maintenance, she LOVES the games (when they're safe for everyone). She's also got a lustful side like Tiff that tends to make her a little too mischeivous at times.
Can others draw this OC?: YES FOR BOTH SFW AND NSFW!! (just let me know first )

The Swordwind Rises chapter 2 WIP
Very much a rough draft, so it will need some refining.
Chapter 2
The roar of the bombards still echoed in Sir Gregor’s ears as he looked out over the battlefield that had once been the wonderfully field of yellow that was Goldfields. It was now a place of death and ruin: arrows and quarrels stuck out from the ground at angles like big ugly flowers, many sticking out of the writhing, pained bodies of the unfortunate men they struck. As the lines of Royalists and rebels closed on the other, the already serried ranks closed together. Spears, bills and halberds bristled outwards from both lines as they converged in the horrible crash of melee. Lordly knights and their retinues, encased in armour and adorned in their blazonry, became swallowed in the press of bodies, lost to sight.
“Thank the gods I’m not in there.”
The voice to Gregor’s right makes him turn, looking at the round formerly face of Gregory de Whitland, the man’s gold-lined visor raised from his bascinet. The man’s visage, usually one of joviality and mirth, was severe as he looked at the battle before him, specifically the company fighting under his own banner: a yellow field bearing the Sun In Her Glory in black, a thick blue stripe above bearing two white towers. The blue of his heraldry almost matched the blue of his armour.
“I pray the War Maiden keeps my son safe today.”
Gregor cast his eye out over the battle array, searching amidst the panoply of flags, trying to find among the myriad of colours for Gregor’s son. He found it quickly, the young man fighting under his father’s banner, the device repeated on his own armour and shield but with the addition of a red three-pointed bar over the blue field and white charges at top. Around him were other men-at-arms, their colours a near dizzying whirlpool of colour as they fought to protect their young lord with lance and poleaxe.
“He will be save,” Gregor said simply, nodding at his own words. “The War Maiden keeps her love for the young and the foolish.”
The other knight nodded his head, even as he leant down slightly from his saddle to take his lance from his squire, a lad in a half-suit of armour and brigandine. Hefting the weapon, Gregory seemed to check its weight and balance before lowering it so the base of the lance was on his foot.
“So we do this,” Gregory de Whitland said flatly. “We do this duty, for the king.”
“For the king.”
The voice came from Gregor’s other side, Sir Stephen de Hartburh, the man dour as he held his visor up. His helmet was still giving him problems after Grendale, letting the man’s thick, bearded face look out at the world. His focus was on the enemy this time. Seeming to sense his master’s temperament, his barded horse stamped on the ground impatiently, kicking up dust against its cloth covering. Brown dirt splashed against the blue and white colours split vertically, just missing the three red stag’s heads.
Gregor didn’t say anything else in reply as he turned his attention away from the battle to see the other knights around him. Including him, there were six riders in total. Each one was a man-at-arms, a knighted warrior of the king. Though they were not members of the royal guard, each man was loyal to the king. Loyal enough to be chosen for this mission. Loyal enough to be marked by a black bar fastened to their armour and a black diamond placed on their back. A symbol of allegiance, a symbol of the action they were about to commit.
A clarion sounded from the battle, shrill, loud and clear over the din.
“Florin’s mercenaries are moving forward!” Gregory called out, drawing the group’s attention. True to the knight’s words, a body of men had pushed forward against the rebel lines. Under a large red flag split by a white chevron and another flag of three vertical black and yellow stripes with a red lion lying down, a group of Argossian mercenaries had charged forward. Sent by the son of the Marquess de Tor Crassel, Lord Nicolas de Crassel, the force of over a hundred foreign fighters in brightly coloured armour viciously bulled into rebel lines with polearms and pikes, shouting crude oaths as they killed and died, urged on by their captain mounted on his armoured destrier as he waved his baton at them. The royal line bulged forward while the rebel line bowed inwards, before it quickly broke, the mercenaries spilling into the enemy.
Another clarion call, two blasts this time.
“That’s the signal!” Sir Stephen barked out, letting his visor fall into place before he retrieved his own lance from his squire. “Get ready, brothers!”
Turning in his saddle, Gregor reached behind him and took his own lance, one streaked with green, blue and white stripes down its length, from Stepan. The lad’s eyes were wide open with unease, his face sticking out from his visorless bascinet.
“No matter what happens, Stepan, do not follow me,” The knight commanded, his eyes not leaving those of his squire. “This is my command for you.”
Stepan didn’t say anything, though his face was tight with emotion as he nodded his head. Taking that as his answer, Gregor turned back to the front as he slapped his visor down. The clarion sounded again, the same two blasts.
As one, the six knights spurred their horses forward, the beasts moving forward at a walk. For a moment, the group moved straight for the break in the line, which was now beginning to wide as the Argossian mercenaries broadened the hole, being joined by dismounted men-at-arms from Adretia and other soldiers. However, they gently turned their horses to the side, beginning to ride parallel to the line. Far enough to be safe from anyone who wished them harm, but close enough to see the line of battle.
The plan set by the king had worked. To shore up the break in the line, the rebels had pulled companies from their right flank, leaving that position understrength. A fact that was abundantly clear as a mass of cavalry thundered past Sir Gregor and his fellows, made up of lesser men-at-arms and sergeants on swift, unarmoured horses to smash into the rebel lines. Men and horses screamed as the two forces met. Bodies were smashed aside by their horses and under them, riders were pulled from saddles by polearms and halberds, and man and beast died together.
But they broke the line, and spurring their horses into a swift trot, the group of knights took advantage of the new gap. Spurs bit into the flanks of horses and they dashed forward, a fast-moving rainbow of colour rushing past dying men and wounded horses. Not a single knight looked back as they breached the rebel line and turned to their right, towards their target.
A mixed group of knights and retainers stood just behind the enemy line, three large banners held aloft on high lances, three banners known readily to the group and specifically pointed out to them as their target. A number had turned to face the break in their lines, and they now saw the six knights heading towards them with lances. Panic rippled through them as they tried to respond to the situation now unfolding.
“For the king!” Gregory bellowed out from behind his visor, the voice echoing oddly as he lowered his lance and kicked his spurs into his horse again, turning the canter into a full gallop. The knights around him copied the action as they took up the cry.
“For the king!”
Horses sped forward, straight as an arrow’s flight as they dashed at the rebel commanders. The weakest willed dropped their weapons and fled, both on foot and mounted, while the stoutest stood their ground with weapons held at the ready. But the knights could not be denied.
With a brutal crash of metal and flesh, the knights struck home. Time and colour bled away around Sir Gregor as his lance sped forward, preparing to skewer his target. A familiar face. A familial face. Family.
“Cousin!” Gregor called out, tears streaming down his face beneath his visor as his lance took Ronald just beneath his chin, piercing through the maille…
“My lord…”

The Poetry of Bodies
Shark Tank is on, but I'm not watching. The volume's turned way down. I'm sitting in Walt's lap, and he's pulled me into an ebb and flow of deep kisses, with no real expectation of anything further.
His hands and arms are bracing my back as he does, and he stops only to part an arm to receive Sarah on his other knee. They kiss just as deeply, just as slowly. The triangle then completes itself as Sarah cradles my head and kisses me, with Walt looking on in absolute tenderness.
For the next twenty minutes, we nuzzle and kiss without any specific order, and without any need to hurry. I rest my forehead against's Sarah's, grin and whisper. "I love that Green Lantern shirt on you," I tell her. She grins back.
"I know."
Thick and warm fingers brush my cheek. Slowly, I lean my side into Walt's chest and press my nose into his double chin.
"I love that specific red necktie of yours," I tell him. "I love the pinky rings you wore today."
"I wore them for you," he softly replies. "The both of you." A few moments later, he thanks me for our impromptu cigar break over lunchtime and thanks Sarah for the fried bananas.
Contented silence stretches into place, Walt sitting up a little too straight, for once, to be able to let go and conk out. His eyelids are heavy, but I can tell his appreciation of the moment is numbing him to his own habits. He's had a few weeks to fill in his mustache, but it's still more of a chevron than a walrus; if a very fuzzy one.
"It's been lasting for a few days," he then adds, "since the latest therapy session, actually; but I don't think I've ever been this happy before in my life. We're running a tiny business from a flat we split the rent in threes for, and I feel like I'm riding off of a million-dollar payout. Something doesn't fit," he jokes.
Silence again. All we do is exchange glances. One look has Walt help Sarah scooch closer, another glance sees me getting the same treatment. One voice command later, the lights are at their absolute lowest. None of us move so much as a finger.
Even awake, Walt has the deepest breaths of all three of us. Each of them feels like a love declaration.
I stop counting his breaths. Eventually, he speaks again, his voice now resolutely sluggish with encroaching sleep. "I don't think we'd qualify as alive even if you added all three of our blood pressure readouts together. We're the coolest cats on the block."
I can't help but laugh. Right on, Daddy-O. Despite that, Walt needs another five or six minutes to bring himself to some semblance of movement.
"Sleepy, sport?"
I definitely am. We kiss and hug Sarah, wish her good night, remind her for the nth time that she's welcome to slip into bed with us whenever she wants, and then trundle to bed.
Walt's eyes turn small and beady almost instantly, as though there were some sort of gentle masochism in pushing back the urge to just drop right then and there. In the early days, Walt sometimes slept in his clothes and with the covers on, proving that there's a measure of fetishism to his sartorial sense. Now, however, there's a kind of quietly orgiastic feel to the way he follows his nighttime routine, letting himself hover just above somnambulism as he quietly mutters while removing his pinky rings and slowly, carefully undoing his tie. I kick off my shoes wherever on my side of the bed, he carefully lays his Oxfords next to the bedside table and refuses to toss his clothes aside. I'm already in bed that he's still hanging up his suit jacket and inspecting his vest to see if it could pass another weekday. He undoes his dress shirt with languid gestures someone else would find particularly enticing, exposing a good old-fashioned wife-beater. Everything gets set aside, sorted for laundry and meticulously ordered even if by now, there's half-conscious snores clinging to his breath.
Sometimes, he drops like a stone even before lying down. He sits on his side of the bed, listlessly lifts a foot and fails to muster enough conscience for the needed weight transfer, and just lets his chin slowly drop to his chest. On particularly exhausting days, I let it slide. He'll wake himself up anyway, his neck's position pinching his trachea and all but guaranteeing he'll eventually straighten his neck while letting lose with a rip-roarer of a snore. In these case, he'll give me a bleary-eyed look, check the alarm clock and then complete the expected process.
Not tonight, though. There's just enough energy left for him to lower himself in bed and to part an arm for me. His right arm doesn't so much as need instructions from his mind to tap the bedside table lamp off, and something tells me he's already well and truly gone even if he's still performing micro-adjustments. As ever, he then quietly groans and relaxes, which means my round of meditation begins. If I paid attention to my soundscape, I wouldn't be able to sleep at all. He's forgotten his CPAP, but is struggling in that unique way of his you could translate as being an impossible mix between slight discomfort and complete abandonment. I've never had the nerve to wake him up, and know he's likely to do so on his own. This is just the basking phase of his night, anyway - he'll hook up his machine in ten to fifteen minutes, guaranteed.
It's strange: sleep clinic videos like those I've had to consult for Dad's own research show you borderline-operatic cases where honest pain is threaded through every breath, and I instead get the sense that Walt's Garfield reincarnated as a human. He's obese, makes a racket in bed; and yet there's the ghost of a smile on his features.
He's someplace warm and comfortable, someplace familiar and safe I couldn't reach even if I were a Vulcan and tried to Mind Meld my way into his dreams - and every noisy intake of air still exudes gratitude.

Wood Look Tile Planks
Wood Look Tile Planks: Why You’d Want Them and How They’re Great
Introduction
Wood look tile planks have gained popularity in recent years as an innovative and appealing flooring option that blends the timeless elegance of hardwood with the durability and versatility of ceramic or porcelain tile. This modern flooring solution provides the beauty of natural wood without some of the challenges associated with traditional wood floors. Whether you’re redesigning your home’s interior, updating a commercial space, or simply exploring new flooring options, wood look tile planks present a durable and attractive solution.
In this article, we’ll explore why wood look tile planks have become a favored choice for many homeowners and designers, discuss the many benefits they offer, and highlight how they add value, beauty, and resilience to a variety of spaces.
Body
1. Why You’d Want Wood Look Tile Planks
Wood look tile planks have an undeniable appeal because they mimic the classic beauty of hardwood while providing several practical advantages. For those seeking the warmth and character of wood flooring without the higher maintenance and vulnerability to moisture, these tiles offer a smart alternative. Here are a few reasons why many opt for this flooring option:
Moisture Resistance: Traditional hardwood is prone to warping and swelling when exposed to moisture, making it less suitable for areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and basements. Wood look tile planks, on the other hand, are made of ceramic or porcelain, materials that are highly resistant to water. This allows you to achieve a wood look in areas where natural wood would struggle.
Ease of Maintenance: Unlike hardwood floors that require special cleaners, regular polishing, and protection from spills, wood look tile planks are much simpler to care for. With a mop and regular household cleaners, they maintain their luster and beauty over time. They are scratch-resistant and hold up well under foot traffic, making them ideal for families with pets or children.
Eco-Friendly Choice: Choosing wood look tile planks can be a more sustainable option, as it eliminates the need for real wood harvesting. Ceramic and porcelain tiles can be made from more abundant materials, reducing the impact on forests while still achieving the natural aesthetic many desire.
2. Design Versatility
One of the standout features of wood look tile planks is their versatility in design. They are available in various finishes, colors, and grain patterns, allowing you to create a look that perfectly aligns with your style, whether you prefer rustic charm, modern minimalism, or something in between.
Variety of Colors and Textures: Wood look tile planks come in various shades, from light oak to deep mahogany, as well as in distressed, reclaimed, or polished finishes. This flexibility makes them suitable for any color scheme or design vision. Plus, advanced printing techniques have made it possible for these tiles to realistically mimic the texture and grain of real wood.
Size and Pattern Flexibility: Tile planks are available in different sizes, allowing you to experiment with different layouts. You can opt for standard plank arrangements or even create intricate herringbone or chevron patterns for a more dramatic effect. With wood look tile, the possibilities for creativity are vast, making it easy to customize the look of any space.
Consistency in Appearance: Real wood often has natural variations in color and grain, which may not always suit everyone’s design preference. Wood look tile offers consistency across a space, ensuring a uniform appearance. This is particularly advantageous in commercial settings or for homeowners who appreciate a seamless, cohesive look.
3. Durability and Longevity
Durability is one of the primary reasons many people turn to wood look tile planks. Unlike hardwood, which can be prone to scratches, dents, and water damage, ceramic and porcelain tiles are built to withstand the test of time.
Scratch and Stain Resistant: Wood look tile is less susceptible to the types of damage that often impact hardwood. The tiles are tough enough to resist scratches from furniture or pet claws, and they are highly stain-resistant. This makes them an excellent choice for high-traffic areas like entryways, hallways, and family rooms.
Fire and Fade Resistant: Because they are made from non-flammable materials, ceramic and porcelain wood look tiles are safer in terms of fire resistance. Additionally, they do not fade over time like hardwood, especially in rooms that receive a lot of natural sunlight. The colors and patterns are baked into the tile, ensuring they retain their look for years to come.
Increased Resale Value: When you install a durable, low-maintenance flooring option like wood look tile, it can add value to your home. Prospective buyers often view it as an upgrade because it combines style and resilience, which is appealing in a long-term investment like flooring.
4. Ideal for Indoor and Outdoor Spaces
The durability and water resistance of wood look tile planks make them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. Traditional hardwood is usually limited to indoor spaces due to its sensitivity to moisture and temperature changes. Wood look tile, however, can seamlessly extend from the indoors to the outdoors.
Consistent Design Flow: For homeowners looking to create a cohesive indoor-outdoor flow, wood look tile can be used on patios, poolside areas, or outdoor kitchens. This creates a seamless transition from indoor living spaces to outdoor entertaining areas, which is particularly beneficial for those who enjoy an open, spacious feel in their home’s design.
Resistance to Temperature Changes: Wood look tile can withstand temperature fluctuations better than natural wood, which can shrink or expand with changing temperatures and humidity levels. This resilience makes it a top choice for outdoor applications or rooms that might experience temperature shifts.
5. Cost-Effectiveness
While solid hardwood floors are a beautiful investment, they can be costly to purchase and maintain over time. Wood look tile provides a budget-friendly alternative for those who want the look of wood without the higher price tag associated with hardwood flooring.
Lower Installation and Maintenance Costs: Wood look tile tends to be easier and more affordable to install compared to real wood, especially if you are creating patterns or need a durable base for high-traffic areas. Additionally, you won’t have to budget for special cleaning products or treatments, reducing long-term costs.
Energy Efficiency: In warmer climates, wood look tile planks help to keep spaces cooler than hardwood, potentially reducing cooling costs. They conduct heat well, which can be advantageous if you’re using radiant floor heating. This efficiency is another reason why they are popular in areas with extreme temperatures.
Conclusion
Wood look tile planks offer a stylish, practical, and durable flooring solution that combines the beauty of natural wood with the resilience of tile. From their impressive durability and ease of maintenance to their versatility in design and cost-effectiveness, wood look tiles provide numerous benefits that make them an excellent choice for both residential and commercial spaces.
Whether you’re revamping your kitchen, adding warmth to your bathroom, or designing an outdoor oasis, wood look tile planks are a solution that delivers in aesthetics and performance. They offer the best of both worlds, providing the timeless appeal of wood without the challenges, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful, hassle-free floor that stands the test of time. With these advantages, it’s no wonder wood look tile has become a top choice for anyone looking to enhance their space with beauty and functionality.

'Corruptly influencing the courts': Climate justice group that trains federal judges under scrutiny

'Corruptly influencing the courts': Climate justice group that trains federal judges under scrutiny
FIRST ON FOX: A new report by an American energy advocacy group is sounding the alarm on a legal training program that it says is “corruptly influencing the courts and destroying the rule of law to promote climate cult alarmism.” The new report released by the American Energy Institute (AEI) alleges that the Environmental Law Institute’s Climate Judiciary Project (CJP) is “falsely portraying itself as a neutral entity teaching judges about questionable climate science.” The report also alleges that CJP is a partner to more than two dozen public plaintiffs suing energy providers to hold them liable for damages resulting from climate change effects. To date, CJP has trained more than 2,000 state and federal judges, the report says. Jason Isaac, CEO of the American Energy Institute, says the training program is “really like interfering with the referees before a match and before a game.”HAWAII’S BIG OIL SUIT A ‘STALKING HORSE’ FOR GREEN NEW DEAL PUSH NATIONWIDE, EXPERTS SAY”You’re getting access to them and sharing your opinions and steering them down a certain path,” Isaac said in an interview with Fox News Digital. Nick Collins, a spokesperson for the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) said the report “is full of misinformation.””The Climate Judiciary Project is a non-partisan, educational initiative that provides judges with a mainstream, evidence-based scientific curriculum. CJP does not take stances on individual cases, advocate for specific outcomes, participate in litigation, support for or coordinate with parties in litigation, or advise judges on how they should rule. ELI’s funders include individuals, foundations, and organizations, ranging from energy companies to government agencies to private philanthropies, and none of them dictate our work,” Collins said. In recent years, several lawsuits have percolated through the courts targeting Big Oil companies, leveraging mechanisms like public nuisance laws to incur liability for climate change damage. One such case is pending before the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2020, the city of Honolulu sued several major fossil fuel companies, including Exxon and Chevron, alleging the companies’ products cause greenhouse gas emissions and global warming without warning consumers about the risks. The energy companies appealed to the Hawaii Supreme Court, arguing that federal law prevents individual states from effectively shaping energy policies for all states. GOP STATE AGs PRESS SUPREME COURT TO TAKE UP HAWAII CLIMATE CHANGE CASE THEY SAY IS ‘GRAVE THREAT’But the court ruled against the companies, advancing the case to trial. The companies appealed again, this time to the Supreme Court, which signaled interest in June in taking up the case.Hawaii Supreme Court Justice Mark E. Recktenwald quietly disclosed in May that he presented for a course in the Climate Judiciary Project. According to the ELI, the Climate Judiciary Project is designed to educate judges across the country on how to handle climate change litigation that comes before them.”As the body of climate litigation grows, judges must consider complex scientific and legal questions, many of which are developing rapidly,” CJP states on its website. “To address these issues, the Climate Judiciary Project of the Environmental Law Institute is collaborating with leading national judicial education institutions to meet judges’ need for basic familiarity with climate science methods and concepts.”But the AEI says the program “is a partner in this anti-democratic social engineering” through its influence of judges involved in the types of cases, like the Hawaii case, and through its funding by “the same leftwing (sic) moneymen bankrolling the climate change cases.” The “educational materials” are, the report states, “prepared by activist academics who are advising the plaintiffs or supporting their claims with legal briefs. And the materials are full of pro-plaintiff messaging, including rigged made-for-litigation ‘studies.’”The report also alleges that “CJP conceals its ties to the plaintiffs, such that judges seeking information in good faith may not know that CJP is an untrustworthy source” and calls on “relevant state authorities [to] ensure that public resources are not being used toward a campaign that is corrosive to the rule of law and trust in the courts.”BIDEN’S ENERGY POLICY RIPPED BY REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS: ‘DONE NOTHING BUT ATTACK AMERICAN ENERGY’According to AEI’s report, CJP has received “millions in funding from the same activist groups who are providing grants to the Collective Action Fund through which money is flowing to Sher Edling LLP,” the law firm spearheading the Hawaii case, to help cover the legal fees required to bring the climate cases. Sher Edling is counsel for two dozen climate plaintiffs, according to its website. The U.S. Judicial Conference, which governs U.S. court systems, has warned judges of seminars where they may be “influenced inappropriately.””That influence, it is argued, may be exerted through program content, contact between judges and those who litigate before them, and prerequisites provided to program attendees,” the U.S. Judicial Conference states. AEI’s report alleges that CJP “hides its partnership with the plaintiffs because they know these ties create judicial ethics problems.”AEI says that the ELI vice president and director of judicial education, Sandra Nichols Thiam, acknowledged as much in a 2023 press statement, saying, “If we even appeared biased or if there was a whiff of bias, we wouldn’t be able to do what we’re doing.””Taken together, it appears CJP made the thinnest possible disclosures to create the appearance of rectitude,” AEI states. “But their admissions confirm that CJP exists to facilitate informal, ex parte contacts between judges and climate activists under the guise of judicial education. And secrecy remains essential to their operation, whose goal, as Thiam has said, is to develop ‘a body of law that supports climate action.'” AEI, a group self-described as “dedicated to promoting policies that ensure America’s energy security and economic prosperity,” says CJP’s work is “an attack on the rule of law.””In America, the powerful aren’t allowed to coax and manipulate judges before their cases are heard,” the report reads.

Fascinating Fashion by Noah-Wave
Karen heard from Phoebe that AU Sophie makes a good suit, and she was too curious not to try! ---- (Following "Surly Stretch-Suit") "Hi Sophie!" Karen's cheerful voice called out from behind Sophie. "NGAH!" Sophie started as she broke out of her meditation. she had been trying to gain better self-control of her mind, to keep her body from transforming so frequently. She had been alone in an empty parking structure, simply sitting and feeling her own thoughts, so one might expect that she would hear Karen approach, but not this time. The built-in rabbit-foot boots on Karen's suit made her very quiet when she walked, apparently. "Oh, hi, Karen! What's up?" Karen smiled at her pupil. "Oh not much. I see you're working hard to make sure you can keep yourself in control, that's great! No 'bust-outs' lately?" she asked, referring to Sophie's difficulty keeping her chest to a reasonable size after Phoebe suggested that it not be, and Sophie couldn't help fixating on it. Being reminded of this event brought the image of her expanded chest back to Sophie's mind, and her body made it so, Sophie annoyed and embarrassed to be in that shape again. "Not until right now..." Karen blushed, now embarrassed as well, at her blunder. "Oops! Sorry, Sophie, I didn't meant to..." Sophie grunted as she stood up, trying her best to not fixate on her obnoxiously massive chest for what it was, and simply try to keep her balance. she propped herself up with her tail as she stood, which helped her straighten out and finally stand properly. "No worries," she assured Karen. "It's hard to avoid sometimes." Karen nodded. "Well then how about a 'bust-in'? Does that help?" Sophie stared at Karen, confused. "What's that, you mean the opposite of--" her boobs retracted completely and then some, forming divots in her chest instead of protruding out, as soon as her mind formed an idea of what Karen meant, "a 'bust-out', like that?" Karen shook her head, frustrated. "No, no, I didn't mean--" "You know what?" Sophie interrupted. "Don't worry about it. Holly can fix me. Anyway, why'd you stop by?" Karen suddenly perked up. "Oh! Right, I forgot! Well, I was talking to Phoebe, and she told me about how you made an excellent suit and I--" Sophie immediately felt herself flow like liquid latex again, her entire body drawn to Karen as if by gravity, wrapping fluidly around her as her entire body compressed and roiled around Karen's body. Karen yelped in surprise, not expecting such a rapid reaction, but even as she did, Sophie could feel herself forming in response to Karen's expectations, and a moment later, it was over. Sophie now adorned Karen as a stretchy bodysuit like she had Phoebe a couple days ago! "Oh! Dios mio, chica! You form a suit quite readily!" Karen was amazed and immediately the shock of the transformation evaporated in favor of curiosity at Sophie's properties in this form. Karen elongated herself to feel how Sophie reacted, not noticing Sophie's face, square in the middle of a chevron on Karen's chest, wincing at the bizarre feeling once again. Karen grabbed a bit of Sophie and gave her a pull, separating her from Karen's body with a tight stretch, which Karen found satisfying. "Excellent quality, fabulous adaptability, and a wonderfully comfortable texture!" Sophie strangely felt...complimented? She would never have expected to feel so affirmed for being good at being worn as a suit, but she went with it. "Thanks?" "De nada! May I please take you back to my lab? I would like to study your material and see if I can learn anything to improve my own suits!" When Phoebe had worn Sophie, she had not asked for permission from Sophie for anything. This was a nice change of pace! "Sure? Why not, eh? Just be gentle, okay?" Karen giggled. "Ay, I didn't mean it like that!" Sophie snarled. Karen smiled down at the face on her chest. "Phoebe is a bad influence." ---- Noah-Wave did a great job on this one too, and I like how he remapped Sophie to match Karen's usual suit pattern - It makes Sophie almost look more "professional" - as professional as a person formed into a stretchy bodysuit can look, anyway! Karen's noodly shape is also pleasing and fun to look at, and Sophie being missing her nose is a nice touch! Karen (Forma-Señora) is an OC of Noah-Wave Sophie (Re-Flex) is my OC Hope you enjoy! ~ Bonkie
