Hello! As a HUGE chevalier enthousiast I couldnt help answering this post.

Of course i respect your opinion on Chevalier , I am only going to list the reason why I, personally, love Chevalier so much.

First of all, as someone who have played Chevalier's route more than 10 times, read all his premium stories and side stories, I can tell you that his route doesnt do him justice at all.

As the first that was written, it is severily lacking in dept and in character developpement.

Because yes, out of all the princes, Chevalier has the most character developpement after falling in love with Belle. He changes so much he's almost unrecognisable. But sadly this character change is only showed through his event stories.

So yes, I agree, Chevalier's route is meh at worst and nice at best. It doesnt make you fall in love with him the way his hardcore stans are. And when you finish it you just dont get the hype.

But his events, oh boy. This will be a list of everything you learn about him during his events that makes him such an amazing lover full of green flags:

1-He has the urge to protect MC and does so when he judge that she REALLY needs his help. BUT he always let her try to solve things her way, he let her put herself in danger if she judge it necessary (but he is still there to protect her just in case). This can be seem during the latest event where he and MC visit benitoite and he let her come with him to an ambush just because she said she wanted to go. Or during the maid event where he let her deal with the maid bullying her because he knew she could deal with it. He did give her an opportunity to ask for his help and when she did not, he backed off and let her do as she wish while still keeping an eye on her.

2-He believes in her and in her abilities. This can be seen also during the latest event when he leaves her alone in the ballroom to deal with Gilbert and when silvio asks him why u left her alone he answers that his woman is way more capable than he thinks. During the Valentine event, he takes her to meet his grandpa and when the old man says to prepare a tea room for MC, chevalier refuses and says he did not bring as mere decoration, he brought her as his future queen so he'll take her to the office so she can learn more about territory management.

3-He sees her as his absolute equal. This is huge for Cheva since he's used to having everyone bellow him in both status and skill. But for him, Belle is his equal. He told her that many times. For example during the maid event, they start roleplaying as Maid and Master in the bedroom and Chevalier doesnt like that but goes along with it because MC seems to enjoy it. When she asks him why he hates this so much he says that a Maid and her Master have a power disparity that he hates for him and MC because he wants them to be 'equals mutually serving each other'.

4-He values anything that she values. Chevalier doesnt see the beauty in art or scenary but if MC likes something he decides to protect or acquire that thing because MC likes it. There are 2 big instances of that: First during his second anniversary He and Mc visit a count, Mc says she likes a painting and Cheva buys it for her because everything that has value to her has value to him. Second, once again during the latest even Chevalier completely changes his plans (unifying the continent through military force) because that would damage the beautiful scenary that MC loves.

5-He does stuff that he himself consider unnecessary and tedious but that would make MC happy so he does them anyways. Like proposing to MC by GOING DOWN ON ONE KNEE! (Please note that he had the ring personnally made for MC, ages before he proposed to her). Or going on a summer date to the lake with her even tho he hates the hot weather and doesnt enjoy swimming. Or going to a festival, or to a theatre or completely changing the way he acts to please her etc etc

6-He is actually quite a clingy bf, this can specifically be seen during the epilogue of the latest event. I posted about it already if u'r interested.

7- He became very human, he now feels lonely, angry, happy and even agonize over what to get her for a christams present because he did not wanna lose to any present someone else could give her. He pouts and smile and sulk and acts pissed if MC is away for even a couple of days. He teases her a lot but also comfort her a lot and pamper her in his own way.

7-And last but not least, He loves MC, A LOT. A lot more than she does actually. His whole mood, his whole day revolve around her. Seing her smile is his main goal and everything he ever wishes for is related to her.

Chevalier being a clingy boyfriend part 2

Look at him literally begging for her attention! He wants her to look at HIM only!

"It seem she likes it more than myself" OMG he's pouting like a child!

And when she finally looks at him he's just so smug and happy!

Clavis would faint in shock over seing his brother like this.

And after a good session of 'flip flop', they'r just in post coital bliss and MC acknowledge chev's feelings and reassures him.

This moment just feel so intimate! It's perfect.

This is exactly what i want from an epilogue. It's sweet AND spicy. Perfect.

You can just see how much character developement cheva had over the course of his events.

Anyone who has only played his route and directly read this whitout ever playing any of his previous events would feel like chev is OOC in this.

But for the cheva lovers who have been playing his events, this chev feels natural. When reading his thought about peace and beautiful landscape that should be protected cause Mc likes them , i thought to myself "heh, that's so like him to think of it that way."

Anyways big big bravo to Chev's writers.

Cheva loves Tino in a way that he's never been able to put to words. He can say te amo or I love you as much as he wants to, but it doesn't measure up to what he's feeling, and he's never been good at putting emotion in his words anyway. He relies on actions: taking care of Tino when he's drunk or high, holding him tightly in the middle of a thunderstorm, buying him his favorite foods fucking him just right.

Physically, that was how he showed it best.

Tino's coming down from it, from the orgasm that's left a mess between their bodies. He's all atremble in his lover's arms, pressed flush to Cheva's body as the older man kisses Tino's sweaty neck then up the side of his face, his lips -- he's humming his pleasure, giving the younger man a satisfied sort of smile.
