at the very least. i could see chansey/blissey being instrumental in cheryl growing to love and accept herself more. i dont really want to wholly attribute huge personal and internal changes to an individual to an entity outside of themselves bc i believe that work done on the self comes from within and the person who is changing and growing deserves the credit for their work on themselves BUT that doesnt mean that external forces arent important, of course. of course theyre important and make a huge impact.

i do think cheryl would have inevitably eventually grown into the person she is now bc i just see her being the sort of person who is introspective and values growth but i think that perhaps with chansey/blissey, that process was sped up quite a bit.

augh my heart. this makes me appreciate their bond so so much more. i really really really enjoy the thought, and metaphor of it all, of chansey/blissey being such a positive force on cheryls life and being instrumental in helping her crack her egg when she did

i’m so late to the riverdale party it’s sad :( i watched the first season like everyone else and dropped it around season 3 and then i saw a cheryl blossom post this summer and immediately binged the rest of the show from where i left off and now it’s the end :( i wish i had been here longer- all this being said, favorite riverdale blogs? i have a cheryl and archie preference

i got into riverdale over 2 years ago i still feel like i didnt get enough time they should have been on air for another 10 years at least

i dont think i follow anyone w a focus on a specific character but i do follow some riverdale specific blogs as well as people who arent riverdale blogs but do post riverdale (though mostly i find rvd posts directly on the riverdale tag bc im nosy and it's always nice to see what everyone thinks and posts)

anyway archie would be mad into fearless and maybe speak now in season 1, country pop and acoustic guitars and singer songwritery shit. Veronica is a full swiftie and like a scary one she is in on that shit, she knows all of the lore and buys every vinyl variant and doxxes redditors on r/taylorswift for saying taylor doesnt write her own music. She doesnt actually listen to taylor a ton, its more for the social experience. Betty outwardly hates taylor and constantly argues with veronica over it but she secretly keeps a reputation CD (with the accompanying reputation magazines of coursee) in the drawer in her dresser where she keeps blackmail material on her family members and grim souvenirs of the horrors shes been forced to live through so that she never forgets the true darkness of existence. Jughead is one of those guys who only listens to folkmore and is really annoying about it and talks loudly about how its the only good thing shes created whenever a pop single comes on over the radio and you could fucking throttle him over it i swear to god we all love evermore jughead you arent fucking special. Cheryl blossom builds a small cult of personality within the gaylor community as a concept and her favorite album is lover specifically to piss people off. Josie finds taylor to be an underwhelming vocalist but still really enjoyed the sharp pop writing and composition of 1989 and midnights. Reggie likes 1989 but only the singles and constantly goes "i shake it off hoo-hoo-hoo" whenever he scores a basket or lands a date or does donuts in his car or anything he thinks makes him look cool. Toni mostly doesnt like taylor but has a personal connection to red and enjoyed folkmore and speak nows more rock tracks. Hiram has exactly one taylor swift song saved and he refuses to reveal which one (its a place in this world). Uncle frank listens to picture to burn but only the homophobic version. Archies mom molly ringwald likes evermore because its about her favorite hobby (getting divorced). Gay kevin thinks you need to calm down is slay. Thats all I think

It's crazy to me how no one is allowed to say smth against Toni/c*oni or Tabitha without getting hate. People view characters differently and watch the show for different reasons. Especially in a show where the writing is just bad. You don't even have to hate on them but just say "I personally think they arent great" or Tabitha is boring and you'll get hate bc "Tabitha never did anything bad" yeah. But I still don't care about her 🙄

We all have character preferences, I get that! I like a lot of characters others don't. It's absolutely okay. It does, however, continue to mystify me why some factions of the fandom continue to insist we MUST all like the same characters, and I MUST like the ones they do. I remember after 504 there was some sort of instagram campaign chastising the BHs for not watching because it was "Vanessa's time" and we were hurting her by lowering the ratings?

Um, no? It's not my job to watch something I don't want to to validate an actor who you have infantilized enough to decide how she feels?

Toni is just not a well written character, in my perspective. She isn't acted well even when she gets better material, she faces consequences for nothing, and she is given a giant free pass by both the show and the fandom for literally everything. Tabitha oscillates between boring and being presented as literal perfection, and I have said it so many times, anon, but if characters like Toni, Tabitha and Archie were acted better and faced actual consequences like other characters for their shittier actions, I would like them so much more?

People are STILL raking Betty over the coals for something she did two and a half seasons ago, but Toni coercing money out of a mentally unwell Cheryl by using their relationship? Toni asking her ex to marry her and Fangs? Tabitha breaking something important to Jughead because it was important to him? All completely fine.

Episodes concerning social justice are hard to do well anon, but they CAN be done well. God, I still think about that Grey's episode awhile ago where two characters had to tell their child that he couldn't run from the police. I don't even watch Black-ish but I saw a clip where they were talking about Obama's inauguration and how they couldn't even enjoy it because they were so terrified something would take it away and it hit me in the gut. The Brooklyn 99 episode that showed a Black man participating in a racist system because he had no choice. THAT is doing social justice well. Riverdale is performative and paper thin at best and offensive at worst.

tbh re remakes r good but not worth the money imo. re3 took me 4 hrs to complete and id say the game was priced the same as re4 is rn at 85 aud on release like thats crazaay. u can slap resident evil on any game title and bitches will go nuts. ignoring quality etc. i love resident evil its my childhood But until capcom learns tO FIX THEIR CAMERAAAAAAAA & create more compelling character relationships & story im sozzy but ur just not Up 2 Par. 

listen i know the point of the game is biohazard weapon ZOMBIES gun shoot zombie OMG NEMESIS ! jumpscare etc but why even insert character interactions if the writing and relationships r so weak and why should i otherwise care abt jill. i mean yes i do but lets say we live in a world where idgaf abt jill bc the game doesnt try 2 make me by creating her likeable thru her relationships. thts how we often establish liking 4 characters thru the building blocks of a relationship..unfortunately the games arent built around It and its a little sad but alas. the only time i think capcom really suceeded was in claire and sherrys relationship. ada and leon were weird forced and Such questionable writing. carlos and jill had potential but i was still like Y r u two acting like ur in love u just met. Make it make sense capcom . 

anyway still hoping they remake claire and chris’ game bc my childhood memories of that game haunt me. and at tha end of the day i think this is why the silent hill games r probably better than re in story. cheryl mason is more compelling to me Then whatever is going on w these guys. i love u jill ur a girlboss tho. u too claire. u guys shoul dm ake out.

If Cheryl and Gardenia had the opportunity to take a vacation to any region they wanted, which region do you think they’d choose and what specific routes/areas would they enjoy exploring there?

omg ok so, right away already i know that gardenia would Not do well in places like hoenn and alola, even if she would very much like to visit those places. i mentioned a couple days ago that since i headcanon her as a redhead, she burns easily (i cant give her a break!!! this woman loves the sun but in harsher climates, the sun does not love her!!!!) but if she were to be in hoenn for any reason, she would be ALL over fortree city!!! its like perfect for her ok!!! a town entirely made of treehouses??? shes taking ideas home to present to the eterna city council

also white forest in unova. unfortuntately i baaaarely remember the area but from what i do remember it is also so a place she'd want to go.

this is turning out awfully gardenia-centric. oops. not that i dont also think cheryl would enjoy these places a lot!! for some reason the area around the weather institute (i cant remember the route and im not gonna look it up) with the tall grass very much stands out in my mind as an area cheryl would find interesting.

as for the both of them, i see them enjoying visiting kanto and johto. both are regions that stand out in my mind as being somewhat similar to sinnoh in terms of pace and communities, so i think they would feel pretty at home checking out different towns and cities around those regions.

if they are feeling more adventurous, perhaps they might want to visit kalos, but i see kalos (and also unova) mostly being regions that they would find sort of overwhelming. not that thats a bad thing or anything, but i see those regions having a much faster pace and i see gardenia in particular feeling like a fish out of water. especially since i see her being someone who is much more used to very rural areas and there being more sprawling and crowded urban areas in unova and kalos than shes probably ever seen in her life. and cheryl is very much someone who can roll with the punches quite easily, so even if they arent maybe her first choices of regions to visit, she (and gardenia too, just maybe with a lot of breaks) can still have a good time!!! i see cheryl being very eager to visit new places shes never seen before in general tbh

i am going to forgo the remaining regions for the time being just for the sake of the length of this answer sldkgsdl also i wish i could have given more specifics on this, i am sorry!!! thank you so much for the ask!!!!
